"Spectacle requires a nice stadium, creating infrastructure in Italy is a serious problem. Don't obviously you cover a lot of the Italian league. Are you surprised? So you've got the chairman of the team that won the league coming out and saying this. Very strange comments. I mean, very, very strange. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, wasn't the man united Athletico Madrid game, the last half an hour that game played in something like 7 or 8 minutes or something, because of the tactics involving, I'd let it go Madrid and ball boys, et cetera and waste in time. I think it's a, I think it's a pointless argument that he's trying to put forward. I mean, I understand it by the way. I mean, you know, when he's talking messy and Ronaldo's and you talk in finances, study guy hasn't got enough money. You know, I think maybe one or two clubs outside the Premier League like PSG et cetera. I think everyone's struggling in COVID times certainly happened in Spain. I think in England they could afford to sort of ride it. So you're trying to entice the best players in the world in salary. It's difficult. The best players in the world play in La Liga or the Premier League in my opinion, there's not many players who play in Sally art. Who's on more than probably a 150, 200 a week, where you go at the Premier League, and probably La Liga and there's probably dozens and dozens and loads in each club so I think it's very difficult, but what I would say is the last season was incredible. I mean, it went down to the last day of the season who was going to win the league. It's our A.C. Milan and I think the product's good. Don't get me wrong. I think it's fantastic, but how do you compete with La Liga and the Premier League without the finances it's incredibly hard? The referee and it obviously mentioned that Don this kind of stop start approach doesn't help things. You mentioned unite athletic adley are an anomaly, really. When you talk about wasting time, it's something that needs to be addressed going forward. I don't know how though, Dan, to be honest. I'm not sure, I'm not sure what the argument she can put forward is that unless you I mean, I was talking to someone a couple of weeks back and I find it incredible that only in football when you think the top level sports out there across the world and everything's everything's by the second, everything's on a clock. And you wonder why the money that we've got in the game in football right across these 5 UEFA. We haven't then gone away to someone actually some sort of 5th or 6th official standing there. The stopwatch and actually pinging the stopwatch every time the ball goes out to play. And all right, the game might last a 120 minutes or a 110 minutes wherever it might be. But at least you're getting a pure 90 minutes of football where you'd like to think the ball is going to be in play for a larger period of time than 48 minutes. So I think something can be done. I'm just not sure how many arguments you can put forward apart from that one. Jules pattis caroni is quote, you look at it and you just feel concerned from Italian point of view, brings up infrastructure we've discussed this a lot on the show over the years. You can't quite see how things are going to change. Now that's true. I mean, that disagree with them could really I'm not surprised at all by those comments. This is the debate that has been going on in Italy for a long time, how you make the league more competitive, how you make it better. The game time is the pure example that the lowest of the 5 big leagues in terms of game time, every week. Not just the game that was mentioned in the quotes. This is a problem. And the infrastructure so you're right. Every time they try and debate for a big tournament, they never get it. And that's the only way really the only way, one of the only ways to get that infrastructure better is to organize a Euros or a worker and get money that way to build new ones or refurbish the old ones that they have because they all pretty much old. But look at the clubs who are trying to be a bit more proactive and try to get those new stadiums where there's the Milan clubs or the Roman clubs. They're struggling. There's so much red tape and paperwork and it's so complicated in Italy to get anything done. And anything going anywhere. God would tell you it goes. It goes mad every single time. And it's the same for football clubs and is the same for stadiums. Some have tried for ten years now to get a new brand modern stadium and it's not even near getting me ready or getting even started. So it's a big problem, but the money is an issue and that's why they're thinking about getting a private equity company to invest in the league like the CVC deal in France and like the CVC deal in Italy and Spain, which might be part of the solution, but they've got so many issues pretty much everywhere that it will take them a long time to even to even get closer to the top top leagues who are the most attractive and the most competitive. Whatever you may think of the level of play in city, I think we can argue back and forth and people will have their positions and I think the results kind of speak for themselves. I'm going to go to how the league is presented. We're watching city on TV. And we live in a high definition world nowadays. The way that the leak is presented aesthetically, looks very much standard definition. The stadiums dim. The presentation of the games dim. The play on the field also dim. So if you're somebody who's a casual fan of the game and you have the primarily here or you have La Liga here. And then you have the option to watch and say yeah. You put the two products side by side, there's no question that you are attracted to the bright lights. Whatever you may see from is simply not exciting and engaging enough to where you'll sit there and watch a game that you don't have a true connection with, which you may do in La Liga and you may do in the Premier League. You're not doing it and say, yeah. I mean, they're not producing any players themselves. Which obviously would be the start for me. The money side of it is an Aubrey now. You get more money. You're being more players. The thing I would say about on the field, what do you expect you leak to look like when your best teams are sane and players from the Premier League that are over the hill? Players like Ashley Young. You've got look, you can see, okay, this only kaku, but because you couldn't hack it, you've got your ventus arguably the biggest team in Italy over the last ten years, 9 titles in ten years. It's Shane in something like Adam Ramsey that nobody else wants. So why are they all why is everybody surprised? Then why is the guy at the top surprised when the football is not particularly great? Because you're saying and players are pasta or just not good enough for the top flight. That's why you're not good. Last word on this you John..

"This side in the right direction. In his direction in his way to to play the game and To reinforce the defence that they are challenging a lot in the past games because sitting too much opportunity to opponents and too many goals and start from there. You know you need to rebuild a lot of things that you were from the day that the last a lot of things changes even a lot of players to be honest some. He wanted to recreate that mood. That sense of Idea of you went to really strong defender in defense and with in front of the can make everything can happen. So that's is the idea of football and he knows that he has a very long season in champions league and he hoping championship of course but in the italian league so he was clear in the last month. Let's be focused to champions league and then make the first two great games Because on the on the on the league we have time to recover and this is what he's doing. I actually did. "Seventeen year really started to flood in had had that affect your confidence. Do no like okay. I'm really yeah. It definitely did. I was not sure it sixteen. I still was playing basketball From a very young age. I knew that i was destined to play sports in college. With the athleticism. I had and because i have mentioned my family's financial situation. There is no way that i was going to be able to go to a big college or anywhere that had a four year institution without a full ride And i decided really early that it wasn't going to academics. Thought it was gonna be athletic so it was that seventeen year rose like all right. This is happening. I have to fully commit to volleyball basketball it. Maybe it could have happened for me. But i was really accelerating at a very fast pace My development for volleyball. And i said now i've got a fully commit and so then when i knew that i could put one hundred percent of myself into volleyball. I just blossomed Even my eighteenth year as well And i don't think. I committed to college until the end of my junior year and i was one of the last ones so super late. How's your family doing across your family. Like the unions developed roam. My dad was really bummed when i decided to divide while he was always in the basketball supporter on took him a little bit to come around. I think it's just as he knew more about basketball started. Playing a very young age basketball is living. That i grabbed i. You know a little bit bone bummed. I think because he didn't know about the sport now it's all that he talks about college. I'm out of college now. And he's like you see you know texas with me. Baylor this pencil. It's got this girl and he's so invested but he wasn't at the beginning. My mom didn't know a lot about it but she was always super supportive. She was the one driving near the tournaments. One packing the lunch is she was the one figuring out the payment plans that how we were going to make it happen They were supportive in their own ways but They had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. A tiny club right. I did just signed to italian club on a little bit. I'm so excited. I'm going home so it's kind of interesting So i was in switzerland this last year from august to april and finished april seventeenth. It's kobe year. Everyone's talking about it And so the italian league had a lot of postponements games and so their season went way longer and so they're still playing when everyone else is finished. And so i get a call from my agent saying hey just finished i know but you know there's a team that's looking for an opposite which is my position and they need help her playoffs. I said klesko. Let's do it if at all possible because there's a bunch of visa and logistical crap. Let's do it. And i'm not going to bore you with the details of that nightmare but it all worked out. I went down there. I had to quarantine for a little bit. I started practicing. And i got to show myself off in a very there was still pressure but less pressure for someone. Who's just coming in to help. I was in eighth place team. Like it's eight eighth seed plays the first seed in the second place seventh whatever etcetera etcetera. I was on the eighth seeded team playing the first team and so i went in there like i got nothing to lose you know and we ended up beating them to move into the semi finals and it was incredible All girls are crying since we've started practicing july mcmurray are now and i'm just in shock. I just got here. You know and long story short. We lose in the semi finals after a very good battle but the club really enjoyed having me getting to know me at it. Got my foot in the door and re-signed with them So i felt at home. Though the minute i got there i felt at home and i was really hoping that they had a good impression on me that i could stay another year so quick near ivy. Said you just drive your journey patients. How does that word decided journey. Patient is so i am now way more patient than i ever was. If any of my friends here they would tell you might mom. She could jump on the phone right now. We'll tell you that. I'm most impatient person in the car in regards to live movement But i i'm also a christian. And patience is a virtue and i feel like god has trying to grow that in me But what happens is he tries to grow this fruit right and i just picked too early because i'm impatient never to grow But specifically with this year after switzerland i had a lot of offers a lot offers from other teams france and hungry In turkey germany and i was feeling like wow these are really great offers but my heart knew i wanted italy and i could feel god working in the italian paxi patient. Be patient and it'll come to you. So i turned down. These really solid offers. And i started to get a little nervous and i started getting patients. I i don't know what to do. I feel like. I should just signed with somebody because i cope. It's still and. I don't know if i'm going to get a team. Then i could just feel him growing the patients in the end. I finally waited long enough. And i got the contract and it all makes sense you know and i wanted italy since i could remember. That pro bible was a thing. I was in the czech republic switzerland in switzerland again and so this has been four years coming into now. I finally feel like i can say. I am a patient person and probably not where i need to be a patient personnel ages. Yeah know that he's come through for you in the long run exactly. It was really hard for me. But i mean that's what god's trying to grow as a person you know and i had some challenges. I had some doubts. But i try to stay strong in my face and i'm really happy i did so too though. So when you're on the journey right if he wasn't always close down there were whether any moment that you liked really ugly catching your patient of out of this moment. The check was my first year abroad. i super open about my my mental health struggles. I have emotional support dog who has been unbelievably helpful in my healing process. The finance health the first year Going to the czech republic. I have to bring my dog and they said that's no problem however what i didn't realize is that airlines have different rules in regards to emotional support. Animals and countries have different rules in regards to animal importation regardless of service dogs Obviously.

"What a sausage fast. If i am sick forty for the record shanahan was not there at the Thing that viral video from last week Angelo purchase of the weekend and city news service set has words for this. Use your words. That's why i'm always told that there were several arrests. Violence erupts is when they said about saturday. Violence erupts at dueling. Trans rights demonstrations at spa a those one on saturday. And then i guess Sunday a second pro transgender rights demonstration to set today one day after dueling protests turned. Violent outside koreatown. Spa that gained notoriety effort. A woman's complain about a person with male genitalia who identified as female being disrobed in the women's section went viral as as her in this In the senate must sexual orientation. I see man and so on saturday. Police told city new service. Unlawful assembly was declared roman forty-five anyway one of the other viral videos. There was a bunch of people in koreatown. And by the way if you're unaware this if it comes to homeless camps in irvine or things like this in korea town you don't f with the immigrants who came here for a better life. I think we're learning that aren't we and so one of the people that was protesting in support of mothers who who don't want their daughters to see a d. In the locker room as seen here i see that's a great indicator and so a bunch of people come out and protest not by by bunch. I mean i don't know two dozen maybe tops. Two or three dozen and the so-called anti or. I'm sorry the pro transgender rights people. They were oddly enough. They were all dressed like antifa and it was. It was antifa cost play and it was all black. It was face covering the whole thing. It was beatings of old people. So there's that there's there's iconic photo already from yesterday from saturday. I i should say anyway. One one of the guys a korean who was assaulted by this this little white girl. There's like she had to be like twenty one or twenty or something and she took great offense at the fact that he was protesting people people with male anatomy exposing themselves to young girls. That was he was protesting against that notion. I mean what a caveman right. Anyway this This young white woman took umbrage to it and she felt that assaulting him was the baller move so she kicked him in in the crotch in the crotch region so she went ahead and kick their and he defended himself he was only a water bottle and he connected with her noggin and it sounded like college. Baseball is what it sounded like sounded like a college baseball homerun aluminum bat soda. We'll we'll talk with him but it's up. Here's what's really sad about this. Is that hey folks. It's the law. Did you not think it through. Did you not know that it would come to this. It's come to this. This is where the rubber meets the road that this spa is literally following california law. And if if your seven year old daughter that you took to. The spa is not woke enough to whether or not you don't want her to see is not the issue she. She has a legal obligation to see it. That's so ridiculous this is a i don't care you know the bail the jail time it's not gonna happen. I'm with that woman. My my daughter doesn't have to see that and that's what women's bathrooms are four okay and that's what the wnba is for. Why are there any man man men i would dominate the wnba. I would not. But i don't know what is blocking a third tier. The last guy that the lakers cut between the nba and the italian league and the israeli league and the turkish league. What's stopping them from. Just staying in this country and going into the wnba is it. The w is there. Anything by the way eric sklar. You're the duke of sports officially. Is there something in the wnba like charter. That says that you have to be a biological woman or something you know i would assume so but ken. How can they legally do that. I don't know. I bet you the cancer i mean. They're private enterprise. They not a yeah. Nba owns them So i mean i. I'm going far afield on this. But this is the law in california. What what the pre trans person did with. His penis was totally legal and so people protesting and like i say you know this happened five or six years ago. So there's that all right afghanistan is going back to the twelfth century province-by-province hour by hour as we speak and we're washing. Your hands will give that. Plus matthew mcconaughey tells america that very soon your body will be undergoing changes and we call it puberty. The fourth of july message will be back right if this. It is the john and ken show. European Super League: What It Means for UEFA, Other Leagues
"European soccer league. This was trending on sunday. Basically it's a league that's in the works that would take the best teams from the english. Premier league la liga. which is the spanish league syria. Which is the italian league in the bundesliga. The german league and had them play in a top tier superleague which would be like a season. Long uefa champions league rather than those teams playing their regular leagues the other teams. Just fight it out for the top spot. What does that do to the regular leagues. So critics say it's gonna kill the regular leagues does so well. This is the one positive is it gives leads a fighting chance to win the mvp l. Yeah le- ot that you take the six best teams from england out and lead susan like ninth place right now. The top of it yeah. They're finishing top of the table. So go ahead. I don't like hate on this from kids. That never made the all star team. I wanna see a super league owners of teams like maybe not leads but like fulham's or not on the all star team they're like oh we don't wanna be destitute. Don't lost about invited the playboy mansion right. it's like the teams in laliga. That only sell tickets when real madrid comes to town. Those are the teams. That really. don't want it all now. that's that's interesting point because the so many teams but like you take away. Barcelona and real madrid from laliga. That's fucked you take. You can really fuck some of these leagues. You take byron munich from this leaker you fuck them. Yeah that's that's tough but a lot of the good teams have already signed up and said that they're down to do it so happened. Advertisers her in the money's in the money the money's there the teams are in. Yeah it soccer. So that's a billion layers red tapes. I couldn't even begin to unravel it. When i was reading reading for this but i we'll see if it happens.
Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona dies at 60
"Are expected to pay their respects in buenos aires. Thursday as maradonas coffin lies in state at the casa rosada or pink house presidential palace. In naples where. Madonna led napoli to italian league championships in nineteen eighty-seven and nineteen ninety. Thousands of people congregated in streets and in front of the studio sao paulo to sing swap stories and mourn. He was the first power figure that united the world of football says kantor everyone regardless of their nationality wanted to see him play because of his magic. He made argentina famous around the world. He made napoli famous around the world. It's very hard for any reader to understand what he meant for. Napoli the very poor southern city in italy that no one paid attention to and suddenly this kid put napoli on the map playing soccer and rebelled against the industrial north and beat the powerhouses of milan and event events. An inter. who were the more important and powerful teams not only in italy but in the and europe especially maradona hailed from a shantytown on the outskirts of buenos aires and made his professional debut with the club. Argentinos juniors when he was fifteen. I was in the stadium for his first game. Says in reggae mail. A florida psychologist. Who grew up in buenos aires. Now that's become a myth. A million people now say they were there. But i really was. I promise mel talked to his niece in buenos aires on wednesday she said the streets were eerily silent like a cemetery during the day of madonna's death but nineteen eighty six argentina england world cup quarter-final the game in which maradona certified his legend carried particular significance for argentina following the nineteen eighty two falklands war england prevailed in the military conflict with argentina over sovereignty of the archipelago. Some three hundred miles off of argentina's southern coast maradona scoring the first goal with the hand of god and the second goal being the greatest golden history. It gave the argentinians some type or redemption against the english says kantor on the world cup stage and donna could not replicate the nineteen eighty six title while he was still brilliant at the nineteen ninety world cup. Argentina lost to west germany in the final in nineteen ninety four in the united states. He was kicked out of the tournament for testing positive. For ephedrine better donnas demons were well-documented. He struggled with drug addiction. Voracious appetites before wednesday. He dodged several near death experiences. Diego had died so many times before. Kantor it's incredible that he lived this long despite his imperfections. Maradona will be mourned. The world over champions league games had moments of silence. One coach recommended that madonna's number ten be retired throughout world soccer. The vatican announced that pope francis was keeping madonna in his prayers. Undoubtedly for me. He is the greatest player of all time says cantor. He played in an era much different than today. It was more physical game. He was butchered in every single game that he played and he excelled. He had the ball glued to his left foot. His center of gravity was so low. He was just a magician with the ball. An artist poetry in motion.

Maradona was for argentina. Hi guys pleasure to be with all of you. Maradona as the most important figure ever in argentina i. It doesn't matter what where when everybody would always talk about madonna. He's a legend. Now the idol and now a legend. I it's just unbelievable the morning and what people on the streets are doing in the middle of a pandemic they don't care if in argentina right now for example in the stadium of book juniors. There's hundreds of thousands of people probably a lot more tonight gathering where he played and won a championship. There's hundreds and thousands of people gathered around out of junior stadium where it all started and there's hundreds and hundreds of people outside of his house in a very poor neighborhood. Outside of one is ours. Quality fiorito the house where he grew up on with dirt floors lighting candles every street every corner every city. Every town people are out on the streets and tomorrow in the funeral it will be in the government's palace. They're expecting over a million people tomorrow in the center of one side is to say goodbye to somebody. Who's the most famous argentinian for us. And the most famous argentinian around the world ever so people are really suffering something that they knew it was going to happen sooner rather than later. What a player was. Yeah i mean multiple world cups. They played on one one obviously in a sex with not the best argentina site but he was amazing went to spain and eighty two and played in the world cup's twenty one year old a way in his shoulders. One so young at that point got himself sent off from the big game against brazil will even lend from the came back was even stronger delivered and one of the things that were thinking about is up until his death today. If he'd gone to any club to visit and the world the moment be the biggest clubs in germany. spain. Italy england every player. Some of these players are superstars. Everyone of these players would have wanted a photo. We've seen some of the pictures videos during the when he did go and visit Clubs over the past few years and an all these guys all the ones to do a photo. Welcome because everybody just know what a superstar boys and it could walk into any club under beg stars would all be over to say please. Can i have a full. Because that's how much people hold them and respect gap markazi with us as well gabe. Obviously we heard how argentina is hurting in particular as naples today. No question about it. People are out there on the streets in naples. Even though of course there is a curfew going on right now The connection that he made with naples obviously his adopted city and some might look some of the darkness in his life and pinpoint. That is the moment when when things started to go wrong for him by you know you. You speak to his teammates former teammates and dal speak of of his generosity. They speak about how he was always front and center always standing up to be counted. Random people on the street and to this day in the streets of naples. You'll find murals tomato. You'll find shrines to montana. He had a hold over a city city. That was when you arrive was was beaten down was was impoverished had never won a title There's a divide between the wealthier north of italy in the poor south of italy and they won two titles while he was their third one. They let slip away at the end. Still rather murky circumstances and he's the guy who changed all that he changed the inevitability of history. I think in the eyes of the united a lot of people and that's why he resonated so much she loved certainly enables but i think beyond that he loved being anti-establishment he loves speaking his mind. And i'll tell you what. Then i throughout his life you know. He had highs and lows he made enemies and then at times but in the end in the last fifteen twenty years whether whether it was pillay whether it was peter shilton he he came back and he made up with with a lot of the people he he fell out with and i was struck by something i read. I read somebody posted an interview. He gave back Back is a nineteen year old where he talked about how we talk about. Favorite actor was right on which i found kind of random but he talked about what is greatest trait was and he said i wanna be friends with my enemies and and i think in many ways that is how much of the world from a distance viewed him as as somebody who had the good fortune before he passed to go back and and and really rebuild all the bridges and all the relationships and and really leave us on on good terms with good terms with with very much. Everybody out there ricky. Take us through your point of view with regards to how you will remember him. Remember him of one of the greatest ever on the feel and also a personality so strong and controversial of it. Not many great athletes have done that that to be so much in spotlight for his entire life since since he was about seven eight years old when in argentina they started talking about him he used to play for the us and the red star is today's roca. Were people will gather out of nowhere. Because they knew there was a new kid that was unreal and this was way before cable internet and social media and he did all that before those times. Which is just incredible. He was just different than everybody else and that will remember him. Also as a great great captain whether you love or you hate him. He loved that. Argentinian jersey. More than anything in more than anybody. He was a great leader. He would push to the end. And that's why how he won a world cup. That's how we made it to the final and the second world cup. He played injured with his right leg in really bad shape his ankle and really bad shape. If you look at through the years he started at the age of sixteen Playing in first division and he never stopped. I think he could've played ten more years if he would've taken care of himself. I also remember him for that for not being able to really take care of his body and his mind. It just went over his heading. Never control himself. He went into politics and a lot of people hating him for that but he always spoke his mind. He didn't care. What where when and all. These things for maradona are just different. From almost every other athlete maybe with except mohammed ali that in and out of a field or boxing ring he just kept being on the front page of every paper and every newspaper that was ever printed. It's just unbelievable coming from argentina that i was listening to be there. You know you think of italian soccer in the eighties. I think he was one of the first ones who made people around the world. Want to watch league. Like the italian league just because maradona was playing he. He won napoli twice where they could have. Never even come closer to that. And i've been there many many times and it's just unreal today yesterday and thirty years ago for every day you can buy and maradona shirt. A lot easier than you canning. Senior member things ham seek e way. Anybody that played after him. It's just incredible. What those people thought and loved about the madonna to go back to you. What ricky said about. you know. it could've played longer. Potentially i looked after these body a little bit longer and his main but then the game didn't look after the maradona's back in those days and for louis people the younger generation watch lino massi. Do all these things and they are great. And i'm not taking that away. But he was doing that on. ploughed fields. right with pitches where the ball would. Something's wouldn't even bums are bubbled hard to control with defenders who were some of the roughest toughest one and literally wanted to snap them. It's not please legs. Because that was the only way to stop him and he had to deal with that every time we went on the field and still perform and some of the most wonderful and great goals. That will ever see you can imagine ho has body with the bean. At the end of a game ho the game was played and refereed and the eighty s is a complete contrast to the modern game and rightly so the way the current players are protected. He did not have the did not have that luxury and yet were still able to do that. Which is quite amazing. We'll say thank you very much to rookie for joining us Of course we just say out pouring of support. And this is what i had to say on twitter. What's sad news. I lost a great friend and the world lost a legend. There is still much to be said but for now make god give strength to family members. One day. I hope we can play pool together in the sky. Welcome to the show. Now someone who knew exactly what it was like to go. Head to head with maradonna international level in a world cup final and obviously on domestic level clinton's men into milan. When diego maradonna was. That is very best for napoli again. Thank you very much for your time. Just your initial reaction about very very very said moment. I think full entire world of football On monday madonna was Was an absolute exception. He was Probably for to take decades. You know the late eighties to the nineties. The most most Amazing play on the planet. He was a A genius he was i. I called him always artist. There's there's they did degrade football player. And then there's maybe one artist and diego maradona's was an artist. He what he did on the field full of creativity full of unbelievable to take knee was just an her off. And i had the pleasure to play many times against him with club team if it was stood guard and you if a cup final was germany world cup finally if it was Into milan the two games against napoli. And you just simple simply admire this guy and to have him. Passover early just sixty sixty years of age is a very very sad to pull unfortunately reality. You can just take us back to to that time. And just how big walls he while he was on his own level in. Oh they were great players obviously in the late eighties. Early nineties in italy Lauder mateos was one of the best players in the world goalie from boston. Right cut curriculum. Ow before i was maybe blood was was was unbelievable. Great players but he was an another level. He was just someone that that always made the difference and figured things out on the field that nobody else could figure out so you could men mock him. You could mock him his own older. You had no no idea how to mock him because he was just so gifted and so there was so much admiration for him and and outside the field he was just a simple very Normal person in a lot of people thought momma donna. All his Issues then drugs and other things. Li laid on was a very complicated person. He was not. Diego was a very down to earth. Very normal guy that just wanted to be with his friends with his families and What he has brought to argentina you will never forget that in what he brought to his especially to is not believer son of naples That people will never forget that. So imagine today You know how people morning in argentina and in napoli in italy and around the world is just a just a very sad moment. you're what was it like the reaction from the crowds when you were up against napoli and maradona's was on the board. I imagine just that sense of expectation must've being palpable even as a player. Yeah i mean i've been. I heard the news i was. I was really shocked as money. And and i posted something on my twitter side and i rarely actually post things but by posted something that i always thought about. Diego was his warmup routine depending on the music in the stadium started to do his routine with jogging and the ball around and that was made him. I think it has seven million hits by now. Life is live music. Dead really is jay. Go on monday madonna. He just wanted to be in rhythm himself if the music with the game and when you watch him then doing his walmart you you phase him actually as an opponent and you kind of have lost the game because you gave him so much respect you give him so much and because he was such a fantastic football player that your and that kind of transfer to the to the to fans in the stadium you know the even away games for him became home games because the people just wanted to see him. You know if you played in milan in front of eighty five thousand which is kind of standing up giving him standing ovations even if you may be lost a game or other games so so he was just a. It was a sustained unique over almost twenty years. And i always put him on the same pay leeann fronts. Bacon bala prior to madonna and then obviously came the next generations with Mac in our analogy. But but donna izzo in his own way. I simply unique. You mentioned the next generation yorgen and a lot of people may be seen. Maradonna play live the younger generation who are watching. Just talk about the fact that was. That was the protection. Was that from the referees. That maybe have now and you're playing on very different surfaces as well well in in in his days Obviously the fields were not good. The reveries didn't give you any protection. Ended defenders has killers. You know they just ditch us. I don't know how many follows a game run on madonna. Try to stop him all over two three defenders at the same time when all over him and he's still find solutions he's still found found a way out in score and scott incredible goals then so he took a lot a lot of hits And obviously his fame than along side in the spotlight living. The spotlight was not really his his wish. His wish was to be a normal guy playing his game. Making the difference on the field off the field he just wanted to be with friends and family but what he what he achieved because of those circumstances doing his playing days is almost impossible to achieve the interest thing as i saw clip from an of. You're on sky sports in the uk from a couple of weeks ago and it was moretz. You'll portrait was on former tottenham manager of course former argentine international news talking and they were talking about maradona. And he said we know we have all these stories about the off-the-field antics of recent years and even when he was playing but behind the scenes privately when he was with you or with. These teammates. Away from the glare of the media. He was a really genuinely warm individuals that wanted to help people the rest of as all a big story true for the newspapers but it was interesting portrait. He spoke so long layover in another thing. I think about because it's a different era to me but playing against the likes of the brazilian ronaldo the world cup and france ninety eight and seen what he can do with three or four plans around. You thought you had time in the corner on the over sudden four people and he was getting strike goal and we know how good he was. Brilliant for the hair would have been laid to play against off. That's where it was like playing against a great player. Light renowned on the other thing was empty before my oktay jokes. Gian-franco franco zola. He was going to be the air at one point. I believe to diego maradona napoli. No zola was a majestic player. But can you imagine having the way and your shoulders of go in there and potentially replace the quality of maradona. so it's unfathomable. Anybody can do that. But but no yet i think everybody of have over the piece of just we know there's lots of stories. We notice milan. But this was really apart from great. Football was a really genuinely warm guy. Last point again you do fail. That will never be anyone like diego maradonna again. I don't think so. Because i think diego maradona was was so unique because the way he emotionally connected with the people of his people and weren't as iowa's in argentina his people in napoli was so deep it was so warm and it was so i- amazing to see i traveled to and obviously go down to two zero so badly wanted to watch book. Juniors weevil played one eight. My life was when my list. And i walked through. Borka the the area around the stadium and almost every second house wall was a was a painting a tribute to jingle maradonna. I mean it's just what he left there with the people they were one they just just melted into each other and the same. He did in napoli for for napoli august. This is a today is very very sad. Sad day because this is this is her almost lifetime hero. I mean throughout generations. You know what he brought to napoli brought to the city of napoli brought hope he brought a smile. He brought excitement. He gave them pride pride. Because you know those years when he joined napoli was a big big Have kind of a disconnection between the south and off in italy and and he wanted to give these people real a real jojoba real pride. And that's what he did through the game of football. He used the tool of football to to bring these people up and and give them give them a quality of life to give them so much more than just his goals on the field. And that's what you see him. That's why i think devil be not a second minor donna coming up anywhere in the world he was. He wasn't one time off like michelangelo or fun. Goal or all these famous autists. He's he's one of them. You can kinsman. Thank very much sheriff supposed to be an outpouring around the world on social media messy writing a very sad day for all argentines and football. He leaves us but does not leave. Because diego is eternal. I'd take all the beautiful moments linked with him and wanted to take the opportunity to send him condolences to all his friends and family. Alrighty

"But pass rushers in Baltimore and Pittsburgh so this is not an anti Baker thing. All T even with Mahomes in his so much harder on your ole line to ask them to pass block thirty four times I do feel like though. I can't decide if I'm selling selling my brown stocks to earlier not. Because I thought they would make the playoffs last year. I was very wrong. And you know when I when I put some stock in the Browns, and I'm wrong. It's like an extra job because I should know better right. But now this year, circumstances are a lot different Peter. King doesn't like him. I don't know I just I just feel like. I WANNA believe, but every time I do that. It's the same thing it's me. In the Atlanta Falcons at some point have been burned so many times for the Atlanta Falcons. I just quit. You're going to finish third maybe fourth. Going to quit the Falcons. Options are going to win a couple of games this year. I know it. Owner I like the GM I like the quarterback and I'm usually okay with their coach so I'm always like Aa. Eleven games burned. Burned every time burn with Atlanta and. That's how I feel about. The the CBS sports rank the best shooters in NBA history and the splash brothers are at the top of the list Steph, the number, one spot and clay is number two. Followed by Ray Allen Larry, bird, in Reggie Miller. How do you feel about that? Top Five? Well Larry was in a generation where only shot threes a game so I. Think I've said this before. There are certain players in my life that would like Lebron would be good at any generation so it magic MJ, you know. Certain. People like Brady would have been great now than you know. Larry Bird I. Think would be elevated in today's game over his game. Because he was an unbelievable shooter in the League, he was a forward so I think Larry's better than people think Reggie Miller is a very interesting player. Reggie Miller in his sister are like a basketball brand and he's been a broadcast, or he was hugely important NBA Games and he was often great in those games, but Reggie could be a very hot and cold player, and that is not to say. He wasn't great, but he was great in spots, so it's not that he's overrated, but I wouldn't put them in my top five because Reggie. He was a big shot maker. He was just his look his personality. His battles spike. Lee. You know he's playing against the Knicks. He's playing against 'em. Jay I I I think Larry Bird's little low and I. Don't know what to do with Reggie Miller. I so Kevin, durant is eight. I don't know so. They have Dirk Nowitzki Turkish nine, so they've Kyle Korver six. he doesn't have a lot of big shots to me the Nash now. No Steve Nashes below korver. Yeah, yeah I'd put nat see. You gotTa have big. Know Reggie's big shots I. Don't love is consistency. He'd be in my top ten. Nash Way more consistent than Kyle Korver, who can do it? But how many big shots does Korver have in his career like memorable bigshots? Several I have more problems with six through fifteen than I do with the top five, so give me give me give me the fifteenth, so it's cow over six Steve. Nash then Kevin Durant. Dirk at nine Steve Kerr ten. Jj Radic at eleven. Pizza STRAKA BITCH AT. Twelve Mark Price Chris Mullin and Johnson Patrick's at Fifteen Chris Mullin's another guy that generation Li. He would be much higher, but it wasn't. The I mean I guess. I guess my here's my fundamental thing. Reggie Miller is a little high Larry Bird's a spot low. and. Boy. Larry Bird was great Larry Bird. Was Allen at the biggest shot now again you're talking about we're. We're talking. Splitting hairs we're talking about. It's not an egregious. Played Utah them with. With. Steph curry and Klay Thompson at one and two. I. Don't really have a problem I. Don't I would say flip Ray Allen in Burdwan Reggie feels a little high, actually durant and Dirt Novitsky Bowl field. Six, through fifteen is more where where the argument starts so the MLS players have agreed to a new CBA through the twenty two thousand five season, and that clears the way for the leaks plan to resume the season this summer MLS Commissioner Don Garber held a press conference today and confirmed that all twenty six teams will return to play in July, with the tournament hosted in Orlando Lindos the. End of the spot right now dates and details tournament up and finalized, but it will not be more than thirty five days long and players will take a five percent salary adjustment in two thousand twenty, so we are going to get soccer. This is the sport to me. that. It's an international sport. They a lot of international stores. I think the MLS is GonNa work seamlessly. We may not pay attention to it as much, but if you look at soccer football. Goalie wears gloves. You don't share a ball. There is a lot of actual spacing. You have a huge pitch and not many players. Soccer's the one sport to meet a team sport that works instantly. Just, it just works even. In the League the Italian league. They're starting their opening back up two weeks. For for a couple of weeks internationally, so this is good news. We'll have some live sports on. They'RE GONNA lose a billion dollars in the pandemic that just and that's not a league just has a billion dollars to. Baseball could lose five to seven. MLS is going to lose a billion dollars yeah. Joy with the news well, that's the news and thanks for stopping. Heard lie bizarrely accurate, and I'm not going to apologize. I'll predict to his first. It's been a while you bring a pass Roma because we're doing an old druggy five things you need to get the theme, I need. So none wanted why we've get to run very focused.

"Let's go back now two thousand five come on, obviously fourteen losses in the league. One loss in the League Cup one FA Cup defeat and three Champions League losses. Let's do the math JJ add that up to. Oh, nineteen. This Spurs team is miles better than that Liverpool team in a lot of positions. I mean, they don't have maybe Stephen Girard, like look at some of the players Liverpool hat as well. Jimmy Shaw, ori- Smeets, Vadym Smeets are who, who finds can look back now with rose tinted glasses. I've never heard a player cost out more times in my life play Liverpool fans Vladimir Smicer don't even get me started. We have to get DD ham and off the bench to rescue things on. We had oughta. I agree. I totally all know. Is that residual bitterness? Let's not forget that. It was Graham soon as who started out at Spurs under Bill Nicholson, because Bill Nichols was coming towards the end yet. Wow. Yeah. And Bill Nicholson gave him the road he revived his career than under Jack Charlton and at Middlesboro and then went to Liverpool. So as he still bitter all these years later Spurs along there along there because they beat everybody in their path. All right. They belong, you can't the belong there and cope competitions is nonsense by the way. Is this the rise only one six is this the rise of the English teams in European competition? Again, I don't think they've ever fully. Since since Alex, Ferguson one thousand nine I suppose. Yeah. Maybe maybe it is maybe this is a new era. No, with the with the money that's come into the primarily, but it's really it's Liverpool. Going back to back city were semi final quarterfinalists. I don't I don't know how quite the money the money that is in the league right now. Like look what's happened. You know, the Italian league has kind of fallen down the plaudit when there were a number of years, you know, two thousand three Milan Versi Ventas in the final, you know, AC Milan stranglehold over this competition. Bram came in. You can plot from four onwards, though, can't you re and say that there was a revival of teams than there was a Spanish takeover. What's maybe swinging back again? It's all a little bit cyclical. Yeah. Oddly enough. This is the seven time two teams from the same country will meet in the Champions League final four of those times have occurred in the last seven seasons. Yeah. Interesting. And that's been mainly through the Spanish dominance, well by German iron and Borussia Dortmund, but you're right. The, the two real athletic. Oh matchups. And now this Tottenham liverties, phony Liverpool, Spurs of spent wisely and on in sports case unrestricted budgets, whereas the money has been spent widely in extravagantly by Manchester United. It hasn't proven to be anything on. I mean cities breakthrough in Europe has yet to calm in terms of a trophy..

"I want to get to the Drake curse because this thing has been years in the making. I mean, we've seen him curse the raptors the warriors the Wildcats Conor McGregor. Andrew wiggins. Johnny Manziel, Serena Williams and the crimson tide of Alabama. So it's no surprise that. He would try to expand his his curse range and bring it to the Toronto Maple Leafs. And he's been he's been blamed for them losing six two four to the Bruins. And they stayed off. It's not good. Yeah. It's not great. No serious goes back to Boston tied to to. But I don't know are we prematurely calling Drake to task for this. When the series is still alive. First of all we need we need to put Serena curse this arena. One way on top of the others. What was log as they can noodle. Yes. There's a whole story. That's different kind of curse. We have missed a couple from the footy world the soccer world and European soccer because patially lost the game. And then it almost stepped in from the Italian league. It was like they tweeted do not take pictures with drinking is not allowed. It was joke. Very funny. But here's my thing about Drake in his sports fandom. He's forget about the curses. He's just a tacky fan EMC real had tough. He does when he's on the side of the court. Look, I'm not here to teach anybody or police anybody when it comes to how they route. But getting the layup line with Kentucky in the way that the way that he talks to players. It's it's still. This. What if you could do that? If you were someone that you showed up at any event, and they would happily have you go in there lay up line or chat with your whatever. Would you do it? I would go in the layoff line. Classic all. So you don't get in the line. Getting somebody else's layup lines Ray. But I think he's a sort of living every dream except for he's famous enough that they'll just let them do what he wants. It's like when Tony Romo suited up in like warmed up with the Mavs. And like everyone suburban dad, but Tony Romo is an excellent basketball player. So it's a little different. Okay. All right. So we got ruled on Canadian stuff to Canadia. I know the country is not called Canadian. That's what it will be. Yeah. For me. It's mostly about. You can't be that die hard for that many teams know couple and go big and then the rest of them just maybe take down and not everybody's music career. Wow. "Fine employs. And your status. Associated with. With Fitz and Brooks your status. Elevates sister. Fact, look it up and science. One thing that your status gets if you're fits Brooks university student, or if you want to pay us on the side, we got all kinds of combine results to sell you. I mean, you wanna shuttle drill thing that ain't nothing but hacking into a computer problem, you want you want to bench press two hundred twenty five pounds two hundred twenty five times we can do that. Now. How often do you watch the combine don't? Okay. All right now, I will say that. Because I I read a lot of some of the stuff I'll look at some unusual combine results. I some of my Notre Dame gas because I want them to have you say watch the combine to pay attention to the combine. No, no, no. I watched none of it. I'm just saying the results from the combine four players four allow whether it's guys I don't know about, you know, it's it's football. So I pay attention. Okay. So I'm one of those guys so two guys from the Irish, and I'm I'm only leaving two one stat here. That's just insane. Miles boykin was a workout warrior just amazing wide receiver coming out early. He's got his degree. But curiously he'd bought it moved into the first or second row, which was cool. But tranquil is a lot like mcglinchey who's a two time captain there is actually married. He has a child already he blew out both ACL's during his college career. But he hasn't been injured. The last years I bring this up because the Devon white guy. The LSU linebacker nude who's just ridiculous. I'm basing every linebacker thing off of him. Because I didn't you run the fastest linebacker forty. Correct. So tranquil ran like the fourth fastest, which is amazing. I'm getting to the bench press. They have to put up to twenty-five if you've been a new gym that's two plates. Right. You don't have to explain that to me too. I know I'm doing it to the audience people have never been in. Twenty five. How many times can you bench to twenty-five if you're an old right now? No, no, no the answer to that question. If you're an old linemen anything in the teens or the twenties pretty good. Yeah. If you're a bureau Haas twenty four twenty five times, pretty awesome. True tranquil put up to twenty five thirty one time as well as well. He's he's six to like two twenty five or to thirty. He put up to twenty five thirty one time. Man, you do that the hell I'm going to need you to put a sample in this Cup because we need to go. You can't be thought. Oh, helpless three dozen times. You know, it's I know it's frustrated spent five years in south then man, but. How to talk about lifting for freedom right there. Every lift Ed bar off of his chest. Like getting the hell out of. South bend. I saw that printed. And I literally went to the combine stats to double check. I like. Backer. Put it up thirty one times twenty five. Now, here's here's the difference to the two sports at the combine many times. Kevin Durant put up to twenty five in the NBA privatization, many times is that can zero zero. Yeah. Well, also too law guys, a long arms and all that stuff. Yes. That's what it is. Two hundred and twenty five pounds. Yes. Thank you. Bob have freakishly long arms. Here's my Adam silver thing. I'd led to the break that I had to run by you, so silver, basically said after this all star weekend not in so many words, but in so many words the games a joke like the game itself as an afterthought like the all star game they've tried. Now, you know, two guys drafting teams and then even televised it, and it just it ain't there. Okay. So he trotted out something that has been talked about. And I'm like, I I don't know where to feel on this. Because I I got to see how it's flushed out. Talked about it an in season little mini tournament. For what I don't know that like instead of the all star game that that maybe you're just doing a little, you know, thirty a single elimination Turney or something the games counting your one loss record. But it's it's a little like, we're just you just talk about Champions League. Right. Is it in soccer all these countries have their own Lalita Bundesliga and all that stuff and Premier League domestic tournaments. They have the domestic seven and they have the Champions League. And then they also have the World Cup. And they also have the Olympics and all that stuff. The NBA is you know, it's got the regular season, which we all agree is kind of you know, a grind in too long. And this and that so item sober said. You know, maybe we need to do a little, you know, at all star break, maybe it's a week long or something may maybe. You know, they do this in the G league where they have the they have everybody comes Vegas, and they have a little mini tournament the game still count. I I don't know how it would flush out my inkling to you is what would you think of that? I don't I just don't want these guys playing more basketball. Well, it wouldn't be more basketball. That's the whole, okay? I just don't I don't I don't like the gimmickry okay of it. 'cause they've also talked about, you know, with a month left in the season that you take the last playoff spot and have a tournament for that playoff spot. And what that would do is. You know, a guy misses the first two months with a tornado C L. But then his team is really rolling, and it's incentivizing teams at the bottom to keep trying to win rather than tank because they could actually be the eighth seed in both conferences, again, I'm not taking a view on either this. I'm just saying it's really interesting that a Commissioner of the league is so open to be so honest well on you know, what our all star game stinks. What a win. What do we do with? It's different or or making it back. Here's something different. Just don't do it. And understand you have the television partner in Turner. You know, that's all star game. And all star Saturday night is a deal for them. I understand you have sponsors league sponsors where the all star game is a deal for them. It's a big deal for Nike and Jordan brand. It's a big deal. The all star game for right? It's a very business oriented all the sponsors that are attached to the all star Saturday night festivities and then the game itself. So you have to satisfy those those corporate masters, which which is also tradition. That's why the all star game is there if they could get rid of it, and it wouldn't be problematic with sponsors, whatever and your TV partners ESPN and more to the point Turner that I do think that they would do it. Because I think there's another way you could honor the players for their half a season of of basketball excellence. So to me just get rid of the hey, be a trailblazer in that regard. We don't need a meaningless midseason exhibition. All right. We'll have some sort of awards. Shore will find a way to you know, the guys who were balling out over the first half or so of of the season. But what I say more basketball, you could clearly see when you get to the all star break. No matter the team and they're standing in their respective conferences. Dudes are dragon. Yeah. Dragon. So what I say more basketball, not necessarily in the sense that you're playing more games. But that that's more basketball. Just in terms of I have to now really grind, mentally and physically on this ginned up midseason tournament because you you also see it. I'm more of the buying the the tournament for the final playoff spot. All right. I get that. Because you're you're actually going for something, right? When meaningful has the chance to get crushed by the one seed in each on freeze. Yes. But I I could I could get with that I can bang with that. But even when you get to the end of the regular season once things are settled as far as one through eight in the conferences, the basketball is bad and the dudes dragon than to just I think soccer and basketball. They're different because I just you just wear dudes down in basketball, mentally and physically. And and you know, somebody who consumes a lot of soccer is just the way it is. And it's not gonna change because just too much money involved. These soccer players get run into the ground in these careers. Get cut, you know, quite short because they play basically all the time in Muncie year with its World Cup year. You know, just a lot of something doesn't necessarily make it right? Good for you. So four one five says they do that in the Italian league. That's probably where this ideas, they do in the Italian league in the middle of the season. They have the Italian Cup all teams play in all are eligible. So here, here's the one thing. I would say I think people, you know, the skills competition is what it is. I think people like the three point contests and people still pay attention to the dunk contest. It'd be better if you know more guys wanted to do it. But whatever. What I'd like is an only guys that want to do. This can do this. A one on one little mini one on one tournament for a million bucks. Okay. And I'm only picking four guys from each side and you can play on the half court. Both simultaneously. Oh, wow. Work with me on this is that if if I put a million dollars, and you know, me I put the wheelbarrow full of cash like right at center court. The visual would be nice. Yeah. Right. So here's a million dollars. Like they do in the World Series of poker? Here's a million dollars just for you. Screw your team and this and that here's a million bucks. And this year, you know, yada synthetic coupon wanted to play and Steph wanted to play and Kyrie wanted to play you know, and Katie wanted to play or something give me four guys and on on Friday night to dudes play. And in the winners play after the three point contest. I think for a million bucks. And and anyone who participates they get ten grand or something. But for a million dollars one on one. And what I'd do it just like you do with the park, whatever I wanted to whatever fifteen by ones or whatever they want to do it. I think that might be interesting because guys wouldn't do it every year. But then other guys would say, you know. Yeah, it's a million a million dollars is still a million dollars. And I you know, someone with that grand after taxes. Okay. I'll do a tax three billion dollars tax free. But you know, some sponsors going to get a jump on that and the one year LeBron wanted to play would be a big deal. And then if Zion Williamson bait like, you know, your shoe companies pushing you to be in the million dollar thing. But it's like, and I would branded as one on one for one mil. One on one four million. And that would be my you got the skills thing you get three point contest got the dunk. And he got the finals of the one on one for a million. I think I think that's better. That's still the party. It's still the sponsorship. I'm with you. Everybody needs a break at the all-star thing and Gaza felt like it would be like, you know. Yeah. A million dollars. Yeah. I'll I'll play two games a one on one. I could win a million dollars. That'd be fun. You know? So that's that's the kind of. I'd watch that s. Seven oh, seven is. James harden calling his own fouls. But this that's three on three one on one. These are other forms of of hoop that people like so you could just this is the way. The way my mind works because there's been poisoned by years of watching world star hip hop videos. You could just have a slap fight. Well, just slapping the taste out of each other's mouths. Just cash just good old fashioned horse. Okay. And then you get somebody. Then he gets laps. Okay. Right. As long as there's physical violence in the that that will be entertaining for me. I am a I'm Dan with any idea Cassat's horse horse might be kind of fun. The only problem if you're Steph he's gonna make an left-handed threes. But then the other teams that they're going to do three sixty dunks. So well, hey man this step up your game. Yeah. That's that's one of those streets out here. Rough. If you can't if you can't jam then, then that's your problem. Hey, the warriors will be out without a key member tonight that could be a key and slowing down Kyrie Irving as the warriors in sees get going tonight's. We'll tell you about that in just a bit here on the Fitz and Brooks show..

"And welcome back to the GMC soccer podcast. We just talked about Tottenham in Harry Kane, how how the club will have to deal with their four competitions. Now that their best player. One of the best. Strikers in the world will now not be a part of their plans for the next two months. Who knows if it'll even be too. We don't know if it'll be six weeks eight weeks ten weeks that makes a big difference. Because what we talked about was going off of. Seven to eight week window. But this could absolutely go further. Not only did they play. Do. They play Fulham palace wall for Newcastle. They play LeicesteR Burnley Chelsea arsenal. In that time. He's expected to miss. But now, we'll shift our focus, and you had some interesting news and Stoute's about Lino messy, what are those? Well, he just hit his four hundred goal in the lollygag on the thirteenth of January, which is pretty historic. But you know, one Dino when his first goal was in the league, he was like seventeen years old may first two thousand five that makes sense. And it took him five years to reach one hundred goals. It happened on of twentieth. Two thousand ten then. Here comes the best soccer player in the world. Three years later. He gets two hundred on the twenty seventh of January and then three hundred three years later and then three years later in after February seventeenth two thousand sixteen three years later today or four day five days ago. For four days ago. He hit his four hundred. So now, it's every three years he gets to another hundred Mark. So basically, I'm predicting this time in twenty twenty two. He's gonna hit his five hundred school, zinc, so Yep, help she stays long. He'll be held. See how old is your? I believe messy is thirty to thirty five. Yeah. It's going to be incredibly difficult for him to keep that same pace. Because the once you hit thirty usually start to go down and saw doesn't seem like he's going down, though at the moment seems still that's I mean he hasn't won player of the year. A couple years in wasn't even insistent. He'll be thirty two at the end of this year. So so thirty four. Yeah. We'll see it's going to be to maintain able pace. But okay, if if he doesn't think can retire before twenty twenty two. I've no idea. I have no idea. I really don't. I have no idea what his. I'll be very, obviously, it's the money. He's stained for. Yeah. I would say that he has a lot of money at this point is Greer a lot of moolah. Yes. So how is doing bigger? They're still ahead in the alita pretty pretty steadily. Actually, they just won their game of their last game three. Oh over your and our our. Sorry. Yeah. That I'm bad with these names. But yeah. And it just looks like there's no one's really gonna catch them. It just that's what it feels like they did lose the first leg of the COPA. Del Rey to one. But it was just the first. But I'll let it go is coming back there. Forty three points Barscelona to Ella goes thirty eight like, but they're still just it just seems sparsely still not get there. When you look at goal differential and just wins losses. It just seems like a letter does not gonna be catching up to parcel Barcelona Levante today in that second league, COPA del Rey. So we'll see if they they move on Madrid speaking of medical in the COPA. Del Rey ages got not to add a couple of did. They did. Yes. Real Madrid stays in Madrid goes out. So that's very shocking actually like people like you saw the faces of the players after that game. They were like, oh my gosh. What just happened? Yeah. And that's usually competition that Madrid is really well. L in one competition where they can win like over Real Madrid. Or are they can actually get a trophy there. So them not winning. You know, it is a big deal for them. So we need to talk about that. You cannot talk about messy without talking about Rinaldo Rinaldo scored yesterday in the super COPA in the Italian in the the Italian league, but the super COPA. They Juventus beats AC Milan. One nil. Of course, Rinaldo scores the goal..

"Oh, come back to the GMC soccer podcast. We just talked about some clubs in the English Premier League. And what the situation is liver pulls on top. They play city tomorrow. Big big game. Manchester United's been on fire since they fired Josie Marino. I see what you did there. And now I wanna talk about Tottenham Hotspur because we just talked about them a little bit, but Manchester United Tottenham this Sunday that is a huge massive game. If Manchester United. If Manchester United wins game their confidence their excitement over their new manager over the current crop of players will be astronomical and Tottenham. Yes, they just rebounded against wolves. They beat Cardiff City to get back on track. But man that would be another loss that would hurt their chances to win the league you're saying it's this Sunday. Yes. Am actually, I don't think. That's right. Sorry. They have a break. They break. It's thirteenth. It's next yet next week. Yes. So they do have some time to rest, but they will be missing one of their key players, and that's hung ming-sun from South Korea. He will be leaving Spurs. He's one of Spurs best players especially lately, he has been on fire for them scoring goals having fun creating chances. He will be returning the South Korea for the Asian Games the Asian Cup, and he. Has to fulfill that duty that's one thing about playing a player from South Korea. Is that they're obligated to play in these minutes. He will miss three games in a row for Tottenham. At least would is tough huge, especially at the end of the season when they're they're already not a deep team Tottenham has been struggling lately because they're not a deep team if they have an injury or two they really feel it that that club is not deep Lake City. They're not deep bike even Man United. They're not deep even like arsenal. They don't have the ability to have multiple key players injured at one time or out for various reasons. So he's out if they sustained another injury or anything like that during that time guys like Eric Miller or always injury prone. You could see Taunton being in a tough position. So it's really something to keep an eye on if we're being completely honest. Yeah. That game will be fun. When we come back from the from the English week break there that will be fun now. I wanna talk about Juventus still undefeated. Ventas is still undefeated in the sand. Surprising to me. That's that's rising to me at all Rinaldo. Brought them back to or a goal down last game. He scores. Two goals. They went to one he's been exactly what they wanted. He's been exactly what they paid for. And I know that the league they've won the league seven years in a row so winning another. It's not fair now. Yeah. Winning another week titles. I think they just for the Champions League. No, yes. Yeah. They have not had a problem winning their domestically. But the Italian league is better than I can recall. There's some good teams. But they have a nine point lead over Napoli, which is big already nine point lead. They haven't lost their nineteen games. And they've won seventeen. They tied to Napoli has won fourteen tight. But they've lost three games has he been? Can we say now that he was exactly what they needed it? Like that. Can we justify them buying him? Or do we need to wait until they win something in the Champions League? I don't think they need to win. Anything is like I think he already has proven that he's worked..
