Croatia on a mission to save the summer from coronavirus
"Why don't WANNA use the would post covert yet? That sounds too optimistic but nonetheless. Some encouraging news from Croatia Croatia has been very keen to get it some a holiday season on some sort of track. I hesitate to say back on track but it's trying to salvage the summer season and as part of that today it's opening its borders at two people from ten different European Union and handily. This includes pretty much all of its major tourism markets Austria Germany Slovakia and the Czech Republic. They're all allowed to now to enter Croatia for holidays People from Slovenia were already being allowed in so between all of those countries. You've pretty much got I. Think about seventy percent of the tourists who had Croatia over the summer season and the the tourism season is terrifically important cratia because it provides about twenty percent of the country's GDP and almost all of the visitors arrive in July and August. It's very very heavily. Weighted towards summit to getting people on the beaches in Istria and Dalmatia. And if you've ever been there in some Andrea as I think you have you'll know The particular nationalities which predominate Yeah I have been there in the summer. The the donation coast is You know as you well know an absolutely glorious part of the will travel in. It's it's excellent news. That people will be able to do it. But how carefully is Croatia being about this because obviously when you welcome people into your country right now you potentially welcome covid? Nineteen right along with them. Yeah and that's a really big thing for Croatia. Because it had some of the most the tightest restrictions of any European country in the time of its when it declared an epidemic inside Croatia It was very restricted. In terms of how creation people could move inside that country even inside their own cities and so opening up the country as it is now obviously does bring risk. So what they've done is they've chosen the country's Catholic. You will note. That Serbia is noticeably absent from the list of ten countries. Which is it's opening its border. Stay it's got a website called into Croatia on which people can enter their details whether they've been in contact with anybody with covid nineteen with they've recovered from its own and so forth all of this meant to firstly ease the passage of people into the country but also enable contact tracing if the raw outbreaks and we've seen recently for example a plane arrived from Frankfurt and Croatians are grab More than a dozen passengers and crew ended up testing positive the COVID nineteen but on arrival they all given contact details so very quickly The authorities were able to track trace and and snuff any sort of outbreaks out before they got a chance to get going and they're going to have to take this approach on a much larger scale. Of course the to have any sort of summer tourism season.

"That we've had in Paris are probably the worst ones. Can you think of any other ones the one that comes to mind because the one in Colorado? Oh okay yeah I I think Colorado one takes the cake because I was also going to say the one in Paris. That's on the sweaty traveler. Podcast episode comes out there so you can hear that whole story. Let's talk about the Colorado one. This is not my finest moment. Also not how but I. It was me who started this thing. Yeah I don't think we need to go into great detail but will lay the groundwork for this scenario we this is unfiltered la. Yep and you were October fest. It was October breckenridge dollar range. So we're at ten thousand feet. We have some beer at October fest. S I was the designated driver that day so I was not really drinking. I think I had like one beer. And then a couple of hours later you know we. We were seeing downtown for most of the night so I was not really drinking. Trav- however was drinking a lot and you know he was with some of our friends things. Were getting a little crazy and just very fun and exuberance tribes not really a big drinker so you know when things get a little wild. It's not like he's tolerance is that high and also were at altitude so it makes things a little more exacerbated in that manner and then to top off October fest then went out to one of the local bars where there was the one of the are one of our friends is the owner of Breckenridge distilling and everyone at this locals bar. Thought it was cool that they're buying him shot of his own. Bourbon. Like I'm going to by the owner Shark Zone Bourbon. Whatever he didn't want to take him he was giving to me. I didn't WanNa take him but I was like the last chain in line. There was no one to give them too so I ended up taking a shot or two of his Bourbon. And there's drinking like yeager meisters again. Which I the guy who owns breakfasting didn't want to take it but we took like one or two. I was not in great shape. We went to a Mexican restaurant. I could barely keep my head off. The table. Apparently is just shoveling food in my face and make bad team so traveling at this point the ninety nine. Pm He's getting belligerent. And I have to drive him and three of our my sister and two other friends back to our house that we were house sitting at Breckenridge and Travis being belligerent. To the point where like I have to stop the car. Because he's in the front seat and he's like heckling me challenging. I was to be fair unfortunately I was more heckling a friend of ours. And you guys if it's Napkins and he's like one of my best friends and one nicest guys ever why travel. I don't know I was just giving him a hard time. Picking on Picky on picking on him and and I had basically said enough is enough. Traffic challenged me. I had to pull over the car. You know there might have been some physical action not on my apart art and traps. I'm out and he gets out of the car and it's ten o'clock at night at this point on the side of a mountain where he has to like. Hayek back to our house and I'm really worried about him. Obviously because we've just had a huge fight in front of all like three of our closest friends and it's really uncomfortable and I'm upset in so pissed and obviously not reasonable so he's just gonNa like hike up the mountain to get back to our house at ten o'clock at night in the pitch dark incredibly inebriated and so I go. I drive up the mountain. Drop off our friends. I come back and I'm like crying. I come back down trying to find hard to make. Sure he hasn't misstep and hurt himself or just caused a senior. Police have come because he's like trying to go to a house. It's not even who knows. We were house very very stressed out so anyway I come down to find him and he won't get back in the car with me. He's so mad at me. He just like walking slowly drive the car next and make sure that he gets back to the house in one piece we get to the house. He goes into a completely other room. Doesn't speak to me and goes to passes out in a different room and we don't speak until the next day. Worst fight we have ever ever had. It was horrible. Now you all know. Yeah and you've never been drunk again ever and I mean that's not something that we that normally happen in our lives so yeah I was being upon their stronger could use. We'll keep this family friendly but I was being not a nice person and but yeah she drove next to me. I wouldn't get in the car for at least forty five minutes because I had. I cut this mountain and anyway it was a scene moments movie. Can we just say that? There's a time in Paris if you listen to podcasts. Were flipped me off. So we each had our moments here and there twenty or excuse me not twenty twenty overall number five for this show the most overrated place. You have been at Alex Dot Feign. Wow this is a great question to we. Momo's made this into its own episode because a coup each named three over places. We've been having a little hard. I'm thinking of that so I'll just give. I'll give the answer of the place. That was the biggest disappointment to me which I know what the answer is. I think which I guess would maybe then classified as the most overrated. Yeah so is it Venice for you. Oh Denver you're GONNA say I was GONNA say Pinang L- Asia I'll banana Malaysia. We had super high hopes for our very first backpacking trip. And the end of an eighteen day backpacking trip. It rained three days. Everyone said you're gonNa love this colonial town of George Town. It's so great. You know the food so amazing. The food was good but we just for three days. We just do not have a great time there. The weather was horrible. There's not much to do. It wasn't equate colonial town. It was like falling down colonial town and we ended up. What like one of the highlights of being in Penang is tells you how how rough time we had not rough but how boring was that? We went to a movie theater and watched played runner or something like that. I think it was Ron some sci-fi movie that we're have no interest in in a movie theater just because we were like we have nothing to do so that was pretty. It was disappointing because everyone told me. That's GONNA highlight of your trip to Southeast Asia. One and it was are low light but I will agree with you. Then will Venice for me. I there are so many places in Italy that I don't care if I ever go back to pass again had all. Yeah I mean I'm trying to think of one for me that's been super overrated and the only one that I can think of and I don't even really want to stay because it's in my favorite country but we went to Croatia. We've been there multiple times and for the first time we went to this area called Istria which is in the northern part of Croatia. And our friend. Nick who's been on the podcast a lot and he lived he right now is in Sarajevo as US diplomat so he's been Croatia a ton of time and he's like you guys are GonNa love is now. It's the Tuscany of Croatia. Which it is it is but when. I think Croatia I think of my favorite spots which are more like the islands in the domination coast. So that being my favorite part I was thinking. Well maybe I will like Istria more than my most favorite place in the whole world. I D- I didn't and I don't. I mean history is still really wonderful and I would love to go back. I think when I'm not pregnant because if it's the Tuscany of the world and it's all about wine. I couldn't drink wine when I was there all. I wanted to do sit at a beach and that wasn't really what we did there so for me. That's a good answer. Yeah I still love it. Even light we expect. Could we liked so much other parts of creches so much so much before this we kind of assume like. Whoa if we like issue even more this is crazy. This could be one of the best places we are being in the world and it was fine but that would be overrated. Us Great Question Expand. Thank you guys listening. This are quarantine. We were doing this and you should have a look at it. Is that kind of your heart with propagation that it's going to be the staff using it rather than unlikely that the end customer is going to be the ones that create propagation for you say you imagine it's going to be the stuff slightly. Moving between companies and word gets out like that is that because he's a part of your plan for propagation of product it is but it's also a tough path because a lot of these are end users that move move from like the technicians of the call agents at move from company to company or not at that level of big probably would tell another buddy. Hey this is very cool offer at about last job but I'm not sure they may be able to influence their supervisors in the IT managers powers the to install enterprise great software but it's it is it's a big ask you know so yeah. It's almost like you wanna create farmer videos where you hear your existing customers guys because that's that's the only thing to watch each other so in Istria Australia as a market is a land of oligopolies like we always have like two or three or four plays in a market and they just watch each other and copy everything so you know yeah yeah the example of Optimus optus and Telstra rate if optus does something and you here are looking optus and they've got technicians with the I. Glosses on you can pretty much bet that tells you is going to be out there trying to work out. How do how do we get that. We WanNa do that to maybe you've got to like. Her latest work is called my American dream. Lydia? Welcome to St. thank you, Chris. My pleasure. I like to start at the very beginning because I thought the first half of the book we talking about your childhood, who's just really compelling and full of details about food, and cooking that I think most of us are unfamiliar with so Istria that was part of Italy until right after the second World War. And then it went to Yugoslavia could you just set the scene for us about about where it is. And what happened during that period after World War Two? Okay. So if you're looking at the boot of Italy in the right hand corner right across from Venice, you'll get into a little peninsula, cold easterly and on the tip of that, peninsula, a spoiler Pula now but it was polar. And that's where I was worn and east three am and part of the may show was all part of Italy until after what to, you know, Italy was on the losing side, and in nineteen forty seven. The peace treaty, ultimately delineated, the border that came down from Austria down, where the border is now more or less, but it came down and ended with the three s the remained Italian and the rest of the right was given to the newly formed communist Yugoslavia on the Marshall Tito, and your mother at the time was pregnant with you. And then the border closed six or seven months after you were born. So your family stayed. And then you were behind the border and Tito's Yugoslavia, correct. Yeah. You know, yes. I had a brother and then I, I was coming along. And, you know, whereas my mother going to go into the world in that condition and she remained and yes, we will caught behind the curtain. The I couldn't without. And this quite a few ethnic Atanas that remained behind the border, you, right? I love that old corn. In husk mattress and still remember, cuddling next to my grandmother on it. The aroma of the corn, and the rattling of the dry leaves love me to sleep night after night. Yes, the you know, because in the summertime the woollen mattresses were untapped, yo they open them up and wash the wool in whatever, and we had mattresses, made out of dried corn husks, and it was a fluffy kind of, you know, a really noisy mattress, every move you heard, but not only not only that the smell and as a child, you know, your imagination, my imagination was going wild between the smell in all the, the noise is in all of that, you know, and then I imagined wolves coming, you know, kinds of things that a child with imagine so you lived in town, and your grandmother live, just outside of town on a small farm with a courtyard, so you spent a lot of time in both places. Just describe your grandmother's place, which is still in your family. What was it like? Well, the courtyard is where everything happened in the courtyard. We lived and my, my, my grandfather's sister lived and the cousin and then further up towards the p Nate that we would call the pine woods. They were the, the animals depends of the different animals. And then we had victories too big trees like big umbrellas keep shaded all summer. And so the fix would plop down when they were mature and the animals would cut were allowed to come down and tweet. So the chickens, the ducks everybody would kind of we would run in this courtier between the chickens, ducks geese the cat, the dog and so on. And it was it was beautiful court, yet it was kind of my haven, if you will. You say breakfast was a simple affair when they were pasteurizing milk, though. You sometimes drank it fresh, there was a crust that formed on the top you'd spoon that on bread with some fig jam from the fallen figs. And that was one of your favorite breakfast. It absolutely was. You know, we have goats and so in the morning, we used to milk, the goats. And then, of course,.

"For some of the restaurants in courtroom, and we had that it was absolutely delicious. But what I had was the baked eggplant and it was the best thing. I one of the best things I eight on the trip other than some of the seafood, that will get too soon. But that was great. We got an appetizer sip sampler for two people. And we shared that it was just a great little restaurant. Everything was homemade and fresh and delicious. My mom loved it so much that she kept saying, I have friends who are coming Cratia. I gotta tell them she was like, writing name team. The name which I'm gonna forget, I'm gonna forget it. I'm like, mom. I have it started my phone maps never free. And also, I forgot the waitress was so nice. She was just above and beyond like she was playing with wit while we were trying to eat. It was just a whole will experience with great. There are definitely some really cool spots and eating spots in corporal town way more than in Lombardy. And so if you are going out if you wanna go out every night to eat then. Yeah, you may be do staying courtship all done. It is like a mini Dubrovnik in that it's a walled city right there on on the edge. You know, on the coast, so quick all town. We spent one evening, they're going out to eat and wandering around. Really, really, really cool. A few other places to eat that we're down in Lombardo. We've got just one really that we recommend, and then I have one kind of funny, one Conan Moray sits right down on the ocean. So it's just a Tich outside of the main street. And by that, I mean how two minute walk maybe sits right down on the water has been there for like forty years really nicely own damn Leone, seafood was fantastic. It was so delicious. And we sat outside, they have a whole outside deck, kind of which is on the water. So. Was just a stunning place to have lunch or dinner, because you're just you feel like you're eating on a boat or something, because it's just the deck is on the water and you just see it was amazing. The food was really good. And I think that's where you guys tried the local wine was at that restaurant, right? Yes. They have a lot of, of the stuff from critic, the wineries at a right there and Lombardo and then around the corner is a place called maestro cafe. I woke up really early one morning took with out for a walk. There was nowhere open, and this was the only place that people are eating breakfast. So I had some breakfast there. It was okay. But they have crazy. Rich hot chocolate. It's like they melted chocolate bars. They probably did and put it in my hot chocolate. So if you like really crazy. Rich hot chocolate. Go to maestro cafe and one morning sit there have a nice little view and get yourself a hot chocolate. Maybe a little bit of breakfast. So we spent a few days in Lombardo, then we pressed on, and you have to take a ferry from the island of Kortua. It is a. And fifteen minute ferry. You can see the other side, because then takes you back to the mainland until to the pal, Jessica peninsula, and from there, you can drive down, Nick, which is what we did. So the ferry just goes over to this little town called or a back or a bitch. And I've heard is pretty cool to spend some time in a little town, but we had to, you know, get all the way to Nick this day, and we plan to stop at some wineries. So we just drove the peninsula, which is beautiful, and we got to this town, and we went to the winery called Matusse ga, which is one of the best wineries, I think, in Croatia, and our friend, Nick, who know flu shot history and wine will come on a later podcast, where I just have him with questions about eastern Europe. Coming up, he said, this was the best wine and a lot of the winds in Istria are white wines. They have read, too, but they're more known for their white, but on the Pell, Jezek peninsula..

"That name Lucy Dumez is familiar to you and you've been listening to the podcast for any length of time, it's because Lucy back in episode two hundred and fifty three of the podcast and today, we're gonna be diving deep into portrait sale, so that's coming up in just a minute, as far as me and my week concern, it's been busy working with Linda mob, beautiful wife photographing sporting team for local soccer clubs also for the local school. I've also done a stalled shoot for local wedding catoon designer or wedding tourist. I think he'd call her. That was a fun shoot. They're always found those ones you get to be a little bit creative and have some fun on like Asian. So that was good. And last week, I mentioned some struggles that I was going with in trying to cancel some payments and get a refund and one was with a photography business subscription the other one was with my local gym. I've got an update for. For both of seen heard from the guy who was running the photography business. 'cause he tells me that he didn't see my earlier Email to cancel my subscription, and he has since cancelled any further payments and will not be taking legal action, which is nice to hear. So that's been dropped in gone, funnily enough. I was just about to come back to you this morning and say that it's all worked out where with Jim because I hadn't heard anything for them. And then wouldn't you know, just before I hit record, I get a text message from pace map, which is who the gym is using for their payment collection service. So I actually have a contract with pice Mark, which I was not even aware of when I feel that the phones for the gym, which is probably my fault for not looking closely enough at the small print that come back to me. And said, hey, you've got an outstanding payment for the gym membership unity get that sorted. I gave them a call explains to them that I've since cancelled in writing and Email, the gym haven't heard back from the gym. Their advice to me was to go back to the gym, and have a chat to them. Otherwise, these outstanding debt will sit on my account, which is not, not as I said, I asked the guy will that affect main anyways, it looked not really. And he said, because it's such a small amount. It's unlikely that, that we use a debt collector to go after that debt. And what they're calling a debt, I'm certainly not calling debt because I think it's an overcharge, but either why I've got to sort it out with the gym, or just leave that outstanding balance in the with pice mob. So since Email, the gym haven't heard back yet, but I will keep you posted again on how that all plays out. I'm at the stage, Trump thing you know what I should just pay. And if to fortnight's gym membership which it probably what the GM wants me to do. And of course, they want the money and they what may just think all this is much, which is. But just on principle. It just bugs me that they're even going after and doing it this way. And the fact that haven't replied, my Email, it, such terrible customer service. I feel like yeah I want to take you guys on here and all that wanna give in the in the end. It's only what is probably going to be forty or fifty dollars. So I could easily pie and be done with this. But I'm interested in to see what happens in regards to the Jim how they treat me as a previous client potential future Klein and also what happens with pice mop because I know there's a lot of talk office, particularly in Istria now using pice mart for their photography clients, as far as I'm concerned, I would be or am getting treated now like a photography climb who has filed to make a repayment. I wonder what's going to happen next. I wonder am I going to get some legal illegals talk Email, and I'm going to get a letter in the mile?.

"You dig just slightly beneath the surface, he realized actually it's climate change policy that has cost just I'm pretty sure every prime minister the job going back to Kevin Rudd. It's they've all come undone somehow because of some sort of fickle issue to do with climate policy that that has still hasn't actually made it through. So yes, it is a really serious issue. And then of course, there's the current the case of the current government seeing what happened in the seat of Wentworth when the former prime minister, Malcolm. Turnbull gave up his seat after being ousted as prime minister. And then watched someone an independent coming in take that seat away for the first time industries electoral history, take that safe seat away from them. And she she did that flying the flags of wanting to do something about climate change. I think that really set the scene for what is going to be it seems at least in part a climate change election. But then again, you've got issues like we've seen recently in the past few days in Istria where there's been all this anxiety about people's utes. And for those looking. Is a utility vehicle. I believe that's either leave. That's the that is the. As an astringent abbreviation of utility. We we are too busy to use multi syllable words, date and date. So there's this strange issue of the labor opposition wants to introduce legislation that would incentivize people to to lean toward electric vehicles to put it put it simply and that has been created the scare campaign. Will you had the prime minister saying that the that labor want to come and take away utes and that these electric 'cause they're not going to tell you trailer. Then Okinawa tell you boat. They're not going to get you to your favorite camping spot with your family. So basically terrifying people into thinking that all of these labor men are going to come up and take you away. And that's what's going to happen. Now. That's of course, not what climate change is all about. And I think that touches on what color was talking about here. You've got these younger generation who see this sort of ridiculous compensation, and they can see right through what they know. What's happening? They see David Attenborough documentaries. Okay. They know what's happening around the world. And there's real fear. Going on. And it's only going to be that's those sorts of protests that make a really ongoing change can talk about the problem. I feel on how climate change is perceived. Of course mind, you don't worry guys. I do think the plan is warming and everything, but you know, but I think for some is perceived as a middle class worry, and some the way the protesters can sound very preachy, and almost elitist in a way, you know, mind, you that I am pro climate change. I you know, I want to be green. But but but he's interesting even in the country like Brazil was at the bottom of the list when it comes to to the worries of of the general public, of course, if you look at the, you know, a middle clause that study that went to university, maybe it was the worry. But but sometimes that's what kind of annoys me a little bit something they should change perhaps their tactics to to include more, the general public can not just people that went to university. You know, what I mean why they don't go to working class towns as well to see how you know the closure. Of certain industry would affect and and that annoys me a little bit. When it comes to this topic. I think that's why you see the younger generations more involved because that's sort of indication that perhaps in older generations only few eighteen diversity or you have the interest in curiousity of reading newspapers every day. You learn about it through that today is being thought in what is described as I guess compulsory mandatory school. So you have the younger generations are way more aware of what's actually going on because they have to read about it. And I as a key difference is exactly in that is indication. Okay. Well, we will into tonight by returning seamlessly to a couple of themes already explored in tonight's episode R E film and shameless cross promotional schilling. Tonight's episode of the monocle twenty four daily broadcasting at twenty two hundred London time will include.

"So there's, you know, once you're once you're in the mindset of this is a reusable vehicle from day one the stakes get amped up on that first launch quite a bit more. So you would expect right? This kind of test campaign, right? Any you know, we were talking a little bit about the show that we're we're going to go back, and we're gonna talk historically about how we built reusable rockets. And and the shuttle is the obvious thing we're going to go to here, and you can see those test campaigns, right? The test flights of enterprise of making sure that we knew the landing dynamics in the final in in the final realm of flight there, of course, that led to the alternate test light in Istria, you could still say with SDS one. But you know, the, you're exactly right. You have to be able to have confident you're going to recover it because you're banking on all of these things being reusable at reasonable times. And you know, going back to what you said about the nine is. Yeah, you could afford to take a little risk with the falcon nine and use it as part of the development testbed because it was something new, you know, we'd we recovering an orbital classes booster like. That under retro, but you would also launched it on its primary mission. So instead of just chucking it in Yoshito. There was something to be said in terms of efficiency for testing rain, and it was doing nothing else. It was just going to plummet to the ocean might as well make use of the time. Exactly. And a weeks we've seen that over and over and over again at obviously, what this to us is that they're still a tweak needs to be made to the falcon nine in terms of redundancy for the hydraulic systems on on the good, Vince. But but began this is a very different thing as it needs to work quite well time went once we get to the the big old are that's coming. So the other thing that I'm looking at here is that if if they are getting to this part of needing to test these little hopper flights that has to say good things about raptor to where it is now because you would assume you wouldn't get to this part without being really confident in what raptors already proving out on the stand on there. And it sounds like they're. Signing materials or or something else. They said Yvonne said a radically redesigned raptor. But we don't really know what that means. If it's think it's just materials or do. You think there's something else going on there? Oh, you know. That's that's a big speculation as we do only have radical redesign. I think the thing that we need to keep in vying with Rafter right is in terms of the radical redesigned the he's talking about right weeks. We know that they have foregone the development of votes the C level at the vacuum. Variants around there too something that's all the dual nozzle expansion, which is basically you build a sea level nozzle and the vacuum Osel. Right. And you have one engine design out that obviously needs to be tested, you need to know that that's gonna work. That's definitely part of the redesign. You need to know that we talked a lot about this is the deep throttle retro potion that that was talking about earlier that, you know, deep throttling engines, you know, especially these high efficiency engines like is from one hundred percent of rated thrust. All the way down to twenty or twenty five cent of rated thrust on each of them is extremely difficult to do because these engines have to be designed to work often only at booth at all thrust settings between there and that can have some interesting not unaffected some cereal to the overall design of the vehicle itself and of two that's a huge part of the testing. That's to happen of we've seen raptors already tested, but the these Banou radically redesigned raptors Ilan said should be on the test stand-in McGregor sometime in February. So maybe more like arch for their first test-firing of. So that's about as far as I'm I'm willing to go on on it. I don't really want to speculate could make stuff up all day about the best raptor fan of anyone. If we wanted to put you to the test could and then tomorrow could be different. But but the other thing too is that unlike the falcon nine right, which has really perfected this single engine landing burn, right? Where we're that single. Berlin is more or less thrusting ad that maximum breast for it. Right. The.

"To take students at this time. And this is why we have Cutie Nancy is common prostitute names on this is something we do come across again again in queens slang is that crossover between the slang of sex workers and the sly of queer people. Yeah. I think that's just such a crossover in communities and trying to talk about these booth things especially around sex and relationships, it makes sense that these people are going to talk to each other a lot and use the same words. Yeah. And yeah. Coded words, because you know, in in both instances, it's sexual acts sexual relationships that are verboten that are against the law. Yep. Yeah. I mean, and there's there's you also have the population of queer sex workers who would have had crossover both communities. You have you know, male prostitutes or trans prostitutes who would have a sex workers that is to say, and there would have been I mean, so you have probably had people within the community who like cross pollinated both between like queer communities like communities sexual. I just be belonged in both. Yeah. Definitely too. So yeah. A to witness would also record. The boys were cold the fence eagles of men and these men had ongoing affectionate relationships and what I really wanted smoke about here. I think is that idea the sort of imposing a heterosexual relationship on two-minute ship that kind of one of the boys is going by the. Yeah. It's been cold offense. He go going by typically feminine name. Ha. Like the mail of male version of who wears the pants in the relationship. I guess most dealers who has the panic. Lost ship. Yeah. Who's the man? Yeah. Yeah. Favorite answer to that. It's like neither of us. Ideally too much. Kind of this kind of the whole night. I don't know where where you fell off the train, but. Nobody's wearing pants. Yeah. Of either variety. Yes. Yes. Yes. This is the most thing we'll ever known attitude, but I wonder how many of these people who were going by female lanes being referred to as fancy goals in a more. Progressive society would have come out as trends women. We'll never know that. But you know, I went home and I slowly about homosexual men here. But that might partly because there wasn't a space to talk about anything right forest. Yeah. It's like the question that arises when you have stories of people who like Eddie young age presented as women, and then, you know, went off to see in war men's clothing for the rest of their life. Like, how do we talk and maybe even had relationships with women? This came up we needed our pilots episode of when you have like somebody presents his feminine, but they go off to C N wear masculine clothing for the rest of the life in have relationships with other women is that two women is it is there translates involved like how? He like, they didn't have the language we have today. So I'll say it also more within like queer experienced. But like we. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Whether low like is this two lesbians, or is this like a woman and a trans man. Yeah. And you can kind of never tell whether the sort of pushing Genta boundaries for practicality reasons. Right. To me raisins. When it comes to like women dressing as men that. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You could never tell whether it's that kind of gives them more opportunities or whether it's than not a woman. Right. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. This as we sort of said was not confined to men, the female factories in Herbert, which is in Tasmania. I don't know how much, you know, about a stroke geography, but it's one of the very early sort of colonial settlements in Istria will also aside of much homosexuality. Rexroad? It was partly due to his inability to stem this out. But oddly Wilmot was dismissed as Lieutenant General event Ayman's land, which was an Elliot name for has Mennea in April eighteen forty six. So the female prisoners used similar tomes as the men did. They would talk about fancy women for Armagh sexual women Wilmot Roche in nineteen forty three. The female prisoners have fancy women who loves to who they are attached with quite as much offers. They would be to the other sex, and they practice unin ISM to the greatest extent. I want like a little button that woman. Oh, yes. We should..
