"Yet so far one dead three hospitalized in a shooting in a medical facility in Atlanta. They were telling people before it to lockdown in the area shelter in place, but I don't have any updates because there aren't any more at this point when I get them. I will get them to you. Also the fed is just announced that 2 o'clock it came out very important the fed is raising interest rates and other quarter point Signaling they may be leveling off those interest rate hikes, I don't want to get into too much economic wandering yet because I get a lot to cover on this point of the show and I'll probably get to that tomorrow and a little more detail being that it just came out. But you've got to remember folks at the value of bonds is inversely related to the interest rate. Is the interest rate goes up, the value of a lot of these bonds goes down. It's for a very simple reason. If interest rates go up and you can fetch 5 and a quarter percent and you add a bond before at 5%, then it takes far less money to get back a return at 5 and a quarter percent than it does in 5, so their inversely related. I say that because a lot of these banks that are still holding a lot of bonds as assets, which was the genesis of the failure of SVB, signature valley, a Silicon Valley bank. I'm sorry. Signature when I was more crypto related. And then the other one was the first republic, were based on exactly that simple math. They're holding a bunch of debt instruments that are going down in value as people are pulling money out. So these quarter point hike, which is necessary to tame inflation, by the way, is not going to make the situation any better. But I don't want to leave you hanging. Here is the last portion of the video from James Lindsay talking about what woke really is. These wokest and how these are just useful idiots for communism. This is planned the whole time. None of this is by accident, man. This is not some accident. Communists understand whatever they need to do to divide us, get us to attack each other to cause chaos so that government can fill the void. That is what they will do. They'll use environmentalism, charges of racism, charges of transphobia, homophobia, that doesn't matter. That's why jokingly call these people the ista phobic phobias. Any word with an Esther of phobia at the end, the Marxist will use the divide us to get us to conquer each other from the inside so that government can come in and clean up the mess. They created. But Marx was wrong about why. He thought communism would take hold worldwide because he thought it was so transparently obvious the capitol holders are exploiting the working class. The workers will revolt. Workers unite around the world, but that didn't happen. But that didn't happen. This is a little bit longer. It's over about a minute and a half. But here he says, Lindsey and kot 9 that Marxism didn't mark because Marx was just wrong. Capitalism is the key to prosperity. Check this out. So that genus is Marxism, which is a way of thinking about the world. Then the goal is always to seize the means of control of the production of man and history in society. Marx merely believed it was through economic means. Now it's through sociocultural means. The evolution into this sometimes called western Marxism began in the 1920s. We had a Russian Revolution in 1917 and this did not happen in Europe. And the marxists in Europe were confused. And so Antonio gramsci sat down and wrote out some things and George Lucas sat down and wrote history and class consciousness after the failure of the revolution in Hungary. And they wrote what became cultural Marxism. The idea that we have to enter the cultural institutions in order to change them from within, because western culture has something about it that's repelling socialism. So we have to go inside and change the culture to make it socialist. Now, you aren't allowed to talk about cultural Marxism now. They've categorized this as a conspiracy theory. They say that it is anti semitic. This is not true. Antonio gramsci wrote books. George Lucas wrote books. You can read those books. They have a philosophy. If they don't like the name cultural Marxism, we can use the name that other people at the time used. Western Marxism. So much like, I don't know, a virus adapting to the conditions. It changed to try to infect a new host. It worked in feudal societies. Marxism took over in Russia. It took over later in China. It took over and all of these kind of agriculturally driven feudal societies, but it wouldn't work in actual capitalist nations because Marx was wrong. He was wrong. Yes, he was wrong. You know why he was wrong? And I'm going to move on. I got a lot to get to today, including the story about what happened in Russia, everybody be cautious about that. But I don't want to, I don't want to backstep into World War three here. Everybody needs to be careful about that. But why was mark's wrong? Has anybody ever thought this through? I'm talking about us the normal people. I was a cop in an agent. I wasn't some history major where folks like me and Jim and Michael worked for a living. Think it through, right? Why was Marxism or the idea? Because it sounds on its face plausible, right? I mean, let's just digest it for what it is. But there are people who won't capital money, factories, right? Revenue generating means of production. And if you own the factory, then workers are going to go in there to work for you and you will be enriched. And there's a decent chance that a lot of those workers will not become rich like you. And yeah, I mean, again, the police. I understand this is all bond. I'll get to him by its focus in a second, but when you hear it sign his face, you can see why a lot of useful idiots and a lot of college kids and people who really don't have a lot of street common sense, why they would fall for it. They're like, yeah, man. That guy who owns a factory sits on his butt all day in his house. He's got a guy managing it for him and a bunch of people toiling just to make him rich. And he controls the means of production that factory and that's the only way to get rich and it's exploitative and he should be forced to share that with everyone else. Right? Come on, Jenny, it sounds sounds logical, right? You're like, wow, man, that sounds awful. What's the hole in Marx's theory? And why didn't it work? Why doesn't it work? Because ladies and gentlemen, he may control the factory, that holder of capital, but he can never control an idea.

"Not? But also most people, when they saw the India part, you know, most people, I don't know, I don't know for some reason. Like even when I was selling my friends like, oh, I'm going to India and I had not done much or international travel before. I remember some I don't know maybe it was just because I saw what I got. Oh, I thought it was a U.S.. I know that. I did tell them what I didn't give in the good news that I could already take someone tells you that you already know, okay. Let me end this convolution right yes. Yes. Like right here. I'm not even continuing with this. So for those who miss that about the good part of it, it's their loss, but I was just flying on the moon. I would be in that same position as well. So. I want to ask you more about the actors that you are working with. I remember that was one of my biggest challenges, especially when I got to set and I was just good with them because most of the marketing with the main characters. And the main character is actually really huge in India. You saw the car slide, right? And I was like, my main worry was, will I match the energy? Will I match the so talented? They've been doing this for years, 20 years, some that years. I just said it acting like two years ago as a wall. That made me one of the things I used to trust me the most. I was like, will I even match the challenge? You know, sometimes the question is, have you told yourself right at where to be here? So that was, but there were also nice to me. There were also, especially the older ones, they just took me a girl who stopped joining us. They used to like semi gifts to a hotel every single day. They shoot on a lot of days, so my role was a trial role, a feature trial feature rocks to see how good it works. So I didn't get a lot of scenes and all that. So I had a lot of time that I was not shooting. And every single day, I remember they used to send something, has Cuomo eating. Please take this to come walk us. Do this for kombucha. If she's not on set. To just take me round instead of getting bored. It was just amazing. That sound like it was amazing. That sounds even on things like I remember I was there for ista. The director, the director's family, mister Attica, he invited me and his family for 11 four lunch. I used to go for dinners at their home families I met their families, works pretty good. I loved the actress. They were just amazing. I talked to the romaine. The cost is amazing. I know three or four of them that are really big in Bollywood and India specifically, they've done wide range and they've been in the industry for a really long time. Learning. So it's nice to hear that there are all and they've taken care of me well there. Speaking of, is there anything that you can tell us behind the scenes that we don't get to see? It's like how is how is the acting like what is that called? Take one. Yeah, yeah. What's all of that happens behind it? Anything that we don't see that you feel like is a really interesting thing to know. I think the ones that everybody should know. You know people see you on screen and they are my call. Must be easy. You know, you just see the user acting. You just stocking one camera. You don't see the over 150 people looking at you from the other side. Cameras holding my, especially the crew itself was, I think, over one 80. Wow. Yes, just the crew people just moving. Things are actually like there were more than 200 because first of all, every actor had a team on their own. And people don't see all these things. People don't see the whole team behind us. We'll just see these in the video. It's very easy, but it's a lot a lot of work that goes behind the scenes. You don't see as practicing with the other actors and laughing because you don't see the blue bars are the best parts. That's something and you all bust power three logs. And you have to retake again. You'll also don't see the struggles, especially after such a happy scene. You don't see the emotional, it's so heavy, especially emotionally, especially where you have to cry and emotions. It's not easy because you have to fully focus on that. One minute you love being in your really laughing. And the next minute you shocked, the next minute you actually trying. And you don't just stop, especially on an emotional scene, you don't just stop being sad immediately. No. You can even complain, even go home because they're like, it's too much. Just have to go more master this in. You can shoot anything else. So if people don't read that, really. And you also don't see the fun part where we are not acting when we are dancing together before the set may be you don't see the part where the directors are with us. It's creating conversations that our vanities and people just draping me in Sari. For me. You don't speak all that. I absolutely enjoy the behind the scenes more. Like when you went after all, they should. Now you go and maybe see their take. It feels so amazing. You just see what you've done. You just always get did they do it, let me go see what I did. But I love that behind the scenes, they're always so exciting, really. That's I feel like I wish I was there watching that whole thing unfold because you see it on TV and you see it like people, the bookers and all of that stuff you get to see it but to actually be there must have been a really great moment. You don't even know that I think you know like you go and you find an empty hall. We are video of maybe a webbing in your Lake oh my God, such a beautiful hall. You have no idea that that hole was made in two days everything was turned upside down. Like if they have a rented maybe a house to shoot, they get their own punisher. They don't use what is there that everything has to be synced. So you don't get to see their turnaround, like everything

"Sign? And people are like, this is a sign. Irish winner is English winners. Where's the side? I don't see it here. Don't have a shelter. What have I? So maybe Nikki will win that and maybe any almost certainly is going to win. That's not almost. He's going to win the William hill entry hurdle. Constitution hill next level. I mean, he is a fighter jet against prop propeller airplanes here. If Nikki runs that baton and she bounces back from a disappointing run last time in the marriage of the children, then he is a super chance of being one two here, but the key question for me is is this constitution hills last run over hurdles in your view. Do you see him going down the novice chase route next season, which the article was mentioned they didn't say anything about, no, we're going to go straight into open company and take this little crack style and take on all the best. They are talking about going down a novice route. But they haven't decided yet. The more I hear Nikki talk about it, the more I'm leaning one way, but what about yourself? The future for constitution hill after Thursday will be. Or from my view, he's going to carry on over hurdles because I'd love to see him win another chairman hurdle. I think they're going to be with them. Well, I'm probably going against most people's thoughts there because they're going to say, look, this boy is so fantastic. And so emphatic. I mean, he didn't actually have to get out of the gear to win the champion huddle. It's frightening. Here's a thought that I'm sure many people have had. But for some reason, it only kicked into my little brain after cheltenham. What if he's better over offenses? If he's better at offenses, he'll just probably get into second gear. He'll go back and have a bit of a some food, get a bed to say that was okay, you know? That was fine. I did that. That was all right. The finest. Looked after by the stable last year. Murder everything on the racetrack and then back home. Yeah, and bring more people racing. Yeah, as well. In honesty. Honestly, you're probably on the right side of this here. You're probably more. And I was saying to you beforehand about, I really liked David Jennings. He's a fascinating character, and he writes some really good stuff. My God, that he does. He starts off with this. If you take good situation, he'll go over fences, you're a need, just not all be doing a not a whole blood. And then suddenly the second last paragraph in the last part of the but he might go over fences and he'd be great if he did and sure who knows and we'll have to say the real winner of this would be racing. It's like Jesus, man. You're either gonna go full Jeremy Kyle or you're not. You can't go half Jeremy clown. Either go full on for it, balls out and really throw yourself into it, but then don't like double back afterwards. And look, he might be right and you might be right. The most likely scenario here is that he does stay over hurdles. Like they talked about running him in Ireland. They talked about coming over to punches down last year, didn't happen. Michael Buckley talked about the race that statement one is at the saddle, what is it called these days? Not the Matheson hurdle. They talked about coming over for the Matheson didn't happen. They talked about the Irish champion, it didn't happen. He is such an incredible asset and such an incredible talent. And horses are at more risk of picking up an injury over fences than they have over hurdles. So the easiest thing to do is to continue to train them as a champion hurdle and hurdler and just dominate that division for the next few years. But what if he is better over fences? I was just thinking about this because Nikki is obviously had some great chases like sprinter sacra, for example. That's another great thing. And he knows he knows what to do, but he's so good at developing horses and placing them really in progressing them. And I just wondering, you know, I have a piece about, I like the idea of some horses winning like ista brack. I think it's the bread was fantastic. It's just brilliant. And I love. And there was a great piece about this to Brett recently. I was rewatching all that is to Braxton and hurdle wins and thinking, what a horse, you know? And there's a bit of me just wants to salute a champion that can come back year after year and win a great one race a big, important feature at Shelton. And while the public, but he could, he could wow us in a completely and there is more risk, yes, definitely. But he might just, it might be back. I keep going back to the start of this, but we'd have he might be a fence clear. Jumping the last at Sheldon because he's so devastating. And actually he's got the right name, hasn't it constitution hill in terms of his constitution because he's just his approach from what Nikki says is amazing. And I know the other day they were filming in his box while he was actually having, you know, just having a bit of grub really. I mean, that's incredible for a thoroughbred. Oh, it's so good. Yeah. His whole his whole approach to

"All right. A little more on a former team meet us in the global America and the team that is burned, the Mexican national team, Guillermo ochoa memo choa. One of the more controversial figures recently in Mexican football. Born and bred American ista Aguilar from the youth academy. He recently came under fire in the news, I should say, for stating he wanted to play in his 6th World Cup Eric. Really quickly, it's not debatable. He's one of the best goalkeepers in the history of Mexican football. Every four years we hear his name. Like literally he's one of the best goalkeepers at the World Cup. Why hasn't he had more of a more success at the club level in Europe? Right, and the meme is that for international fans. He kind of disappears as he goes into a cocoon for three and a half years and then pops back up at the next World Cup, right? I would say that would show has had a brilliant career in Mexico, not just for the Mexican national team, but obviously for his club team, the only team that he's ever played for in Mexico, which is America's and that has his team, as we mentioned. The issue with him has always been something that has held back a ton of Mexican players when they try to make their move to Europe, which is the passport situation. Right. Especially when you're a goalkeeper, you have to really, really be a game changer for whatever team that you're going to to justify that non EU spot. And I think memo choa has slowly but surely been able to do that over the course of his career. Back in 2011, that's when he first made his move over to Europe. And he went to the French league with a hot show. He played in France for three years. He went to Spain for another three years. Then he went to Belgium for a couple of years. And I think the sort of the bad luck that's been associated with memo Cho is the fact that he's mostly played for bad teams. So in Mexico, there was a lot of people who still don't rate him because every single time that he's gone outside of the America league MX setup and gone over to Europe, he's had very, very difficult times keeping his teams afloat even in the French league in the Spanish league. Relegated three times. Yeah, relegated three times. He goes over to Belgium, which is a less competitive league. He has a better time there. And at that point, he gets his European passport, which facilitates him going to set AI right now at 37 years old and playing for another team that might be in city of bay by the time the season is over and suddenly Tana. He wants to play a 6th World Cup he's 37 years old right now. He would be in his 40s playing in a 6 World Cup. Something no player on this earth has done. You look historically, there are a handful of players that played in 5 world cups. Andres guardado memo Rafa Marquez being some of those players. It's great for these players for their resume, but Mexico as a whole as a program. How beneficial is it to have so many players with so many world cups? Well, isn't because it essentially means that you're not developing enough talent to make sure that those guys have the competition pushing below them to kind of lead them out of the Mexican national team. These are very high quality players, but there's no reason why. Rafa Marcus should be 39 years old and playing in his 5th World Cup for Mexico, especially at a position, a defensive position that requires a lot of finesse, a lot of speed and not just that mental agility that laugh I still had in spades by that point in time. For a goalkeeper, I think Mexico has been blessed with a lot of great talent over the last 20, 30 years. I mean, when we think about Mexican goalkeepers and we're not talking about Joel, we're talking about Jorge campos, right? But at this point in time, at this point in time, there's a little bit of a gap in talent when it comes to ranking memo choa and the other two three guys like Carlos acevedo at Santos and maybe at least malagon at America who might be nipping at his heels. So for Mexico to be looking at another World Cup where a guy is going to be out breaking a longevity record, I mean, it's a great story for us journalists who are trying to look at things to pick apart and talk about memo's going to be 41 rather by the time that next World Cup rolls around. So you wouldn't maybe expect him to start, but I think the troubling thing is, you're allowed to take three goalkeepers to any World Cup. I don't see three guys who are besting him at this point in time. And memo is 37. So there are two with this. So the first one is like what memo is thinking. Like, I'm not going anywhere. You want this job, take it from me. It's that simple. It's a competition and I see that, but there's also the other train of thought. And it's what the U.S. men's national team did. They told the likes of Tim Howard, Josie altidore, Clint Dempsey, Michael Bradley, the Jeff camerons of the world. Like, hey, thanks for coming. But this is a new generation. And they played with the new generation, Tyler Adams, Weston McKinney, the Zach stephans of the world, the Antony robinsons, the desk when they were coming up. And they took their lumps. They really took their lumps, but they allowed these kids to have that experience. And they were the second youngest team in the last World Cup, only because Tim remade the roster, if not they would have been the youngest team. Tim rim who was like 37 years old right now.

"You want to be a part of the program doesn't look as bad as I thought it would originally be. But just a quick update on what is been going on. We got this storm lashing. The Caribbean in Florida Keys and National Weather Service, saying that hurricane also is packing winds as high as 75 MPH headed toward Florida's north northern Gulf coast and then up the east coast of the country. Category one storm for you That's like a walk in the park. I mean, you're one of these crazy storm chasers, the official meteorologist for the Sean Hannity Show. Joe Bast rd. Whether bell dot com Hey, I'll tell you what. Last year I was on the beach and Ocean city, New Jersey for Ethiopia's and, uh, that thing almost blew me over. I'm not who I used to be as far as that stuff goes. Let me let me explain what's going on with this storm made landfall. The problem here is we have a situation where it is likely to be stronger from Virginia northward into southeast New England, and it was in Florida. Now. It made landfalls of 55 60 mile an hour storm. And I'm going to give you these times because they know Shawn's got a lot to talk about today. So I'm going to get through this real quick and plus or minus three hours. When I call out your town, plus or minus three hours, you're going to get the maximum wind gust. Okay? And you know, with the rain and all that stuff coming through, So it's a 3 to 6 Hour Storm or Augusta, Augusta, Georgia. Okay, so That looks to be like to be four or five a.m. in the morning and the highest wind gusts there, I think will be 50 Miles an hour. You get into Columbia, South Carolina and down towards Charleston. It looks to me like between, uh eight A.m. and 10 A.m. tomorrow morning. That's when you see wind gusts 40 to 50 Miles an hour. There's a threat of tornadoes to now you're saying Okay, Well, we can handle that. The interesting thing about this Sean and focus on a south and southeast wind. The trees. If you ever look at your trees, they lean toward the sun, where the sun is in the southern part of the sky. And a lot of times the trees cannot take a South and Southeast win the way they can. The Northwest wind so and this is what we saw with the ESA es last year. So we continue North East Would we get into Raleigh tomorrow afternoon between three and six. P.m.. Wind gusts 50 60 miles an hour and that includes Wilmington and down toward the coast. So you can hear where this track is going right? And all the strong wind is to the southeast of the center. All the heavy rain is within northwest of center and now Things start getting a little bit more dicey as it approaches the Chesapeake Bay between midnight and two a.m. Friday morning wind gusts near Hurricane force If possible, over the southern part, the Chesapeake Bay, I'd say 60 miles an hour in Norfolk. Perhaps 60 Miles an hour enrichment. It continues northeastward. And once you get the center over Dover, Delaware, remember what happened with ista? Yes last year. That's when you may start seeing Hurricane force wind gusts on the coast. Currently, I think the center moves from Atlantic City in the morning on Friday to about Providence at three o'clock in the afternoon. If you live north and west of that track, folks, you're going to get a lot of heavy rain and wind gusts. Probably 30 40 50 miles an hour, But if you live on the Jersey Shore This is going to bisect Long Island. So we're talking about the Hamptons and places like that. You could have Hurricane force gusts. When you're looking at the I 95 quarters southeast New England those big cities of Providence in Boston again from those cities southeastward toward the cape in Nantucket. You could have wind gusts to Hurricane force here. And what happens with that on the south to Southeast wind again. Those trees it's raining out..

"The sports of the news. But you know what? He wants to hear about. I'm having a bit because I miss my father or my daughter is making me crazy today or my wife just stormy out against the 15th. I mean, all these things that everybody relates to, and that's why people like Howard Stern and don I'm is That's where they made millions and millions of dollars. It wasn't that they sat there and broke down politics and news and sports. It was the satire. It was the self deprecation it was. This is my life, and when I get all the time is all the time love sitting burning and and she said, I lovely talk about your family. No one comes and goes what he said about Trump. That was quick. Anybody could say that. Newsmax says that Fox News says it I pride myself in our show on the fact that anybody at any time can say that guy that show sitting Bernie they're relatable. That's what makes us special. Yeah, and that's what makes you number one in America, you know, And you probably know this. I'm getting out of the shower in the morning. And that's quite a visual job. I'm sorry about that. But you may say something, and I reached for my phone and what do I do? I text you because actually, because that's what you do to people you connect with people. And, you know, I think that's an intangible. I really do. I'm glad you have arguments with people with Tom and Radio. My program. Doctor. Tell me what he wants. I go. It doesn't matter what you want. In fact, I think I made birdie nervous. One day when I said I'm here. I don't even care What the listener once I don't care because here's what I know if you're a really good talk show host really good. They will care whether they kill in. In other words, I don't care about the rodeo. I hate the rodeo. I can't stand it. I wouldn't watch in a million years. But because I missed talked about it in such loving passion with his son, Wyatt, all of a sudden, much in the rodeo. So that is always been my my. My philosophy is I don't care what the listener wants. Don't tell. My boss wants Care about what I want, because if I'm a good talk show host and I'm enthusiastic and funny about what I'm talking about the listener is automatically going to appreciate it, whether he cares about the contents or not. That's the difference. And that's that's the magic of radio. Probably more than anything. Sit. I mean, really, when you can come across the radio without a visual And connect. I mean, that's that's that's more difficult than TV. And then I found in doing the show in the last six months. You know what you really have to relate to the people you're talking to, and it's just It's just your It's your unique talent and and you're just amazing. And I know I'm your number one, uh, fan and your fan club, but But I also I love this part about you that you became a fashion ista in the very best sense you really did. And I honestly believe that great clothes change your life. And I mean we've had so I mean to have fashion discussions with you is really something that I should document. Listen, I think when you say that, I don't think you realize how true that is. I mean, Here. I came back to New York and Florida for 11 years only what was suppose Enberg t shirts and shorts When I came back to New York, I was kind of finding my way, you know, trying to get back into New York radio when I started to wear your clothing, and I mean this all of a sudden now I've got a T V show on, Green said. I've got this acting opportunity in a movie. We're making their own New Jersey about the stock market question 1963 I've hosted chose on Newsmax, ESPN. All that came about when I started to wear your clothing, so I know your kind of joke about it. Laugh about it, But the truth is, the truth is is that it gave me a tremendous amount of confidence. I've never looked better. I've never felt better. And to be honest, I can give you tangible results of opportunities that I never got before that have gotten cinch of warn your clothing. So when you say it matters, and I say this all the time, Joe There's a lot of times I'll go out. Somebody say, what are you gonna just like that? Voice said, because Joseph Abboud said to me You can never be over twice. You remember that on the interest? Absolutely. Ember that you remember that? I always still believe that you know, I will meet you at the Greek diner with a tuxedo. And you know what? Everybody will look at you and go. Who is that is that you know is that a movie star but which is a perfect segue because I really want you to. I'm fascinated and probably a little jealous that you're now a movie star. And by the way, I have you in my phone as I told you as movie star, Sid. That's how when, when the phone rings, That's what comes up, but that's cute. I love it, But I want to tell me Can you tell me a little bit about How that all came about and tell me about the movie and what's happening there? Well, it's a TV series is well, The movie started me You're still in movies while it is, I mean, it's on Amazon Prime and China self, the Netflix, too, and it's basically It's a mob show. You know what it's about Eighties Brooklyn, which is who I am, and still, you know, if you listen to my radio show in the morning, the music I played, and some of the movie clips I play, it goes back to the eighties. That's my favorite Europe. Um, no divorce rates are there, but I happen to love it, but that's the show, So it's it's The five big crime families in the eighties when they were alive and well, which I've got you wanting the show and the music and the fashion all dates back to that. And this guy, William de Mayo gave me the opportunity to be in this show by playing Andrew, Dice Clay's best friend. I was nervous as hell, Joe. I never get nervous. I I know you don't I was going to ask you. Were you nervous? And did you remember your lines? Remember all my lines and I even, uh, one as far as making some stuff up, and I thought it was brilliant to be honest, But I was nervous about tights because I had talked to dice on my show a bunch of times in the past, and he has the ability to be a real jerky. What he does plenty guy successful guy and shown up as soon as I meet him on the beach. He's a jerk. He apologizes to me five minutes later said, Listen, It's covid Don't shake people's hands by seem standoffish. And I swear, look at my goal, guys. No problem. Just just understand. We got the next seven hours together, and the next seven hours was a blessed. We sat looking continental three hours and talk for one scene that it was marvellous. So the four since I shot Miami were great, except to shoot again late August in Brooklyn, and I go back to Miami. It looks like Sometime in October and November, and hopefully by the end of 2021 or early 2022 so well beyond the air and I play a crime soldier. Indeed, Bosco and it's fun. It's a lot of fun. Look, I'm a radio guy. Will never, ever be anything more than that. But all these little gigs and movie a TV show these types of things making it give you more exposure. Golden Wendy Williams show, for example. Maybe I'll be a Real Housewives of New Jersey coming up this year because they're doing that celebrity store point game August 12th Memories Park at me against the laws. All those things are very, very cool. But at the end of the day, I'm still that radio guys. I'm Sid from Brooklyn. I got a lot to say. So put on that radio is the next 3.5 hours. Shut up and listen. I love it, you know? Well, you know, tell me about if you have a few more minutes. Tell me about the book Your new book. This is a more excited about this..

Just saying Back to your suggestions cover songs that might be better than the originals. From Felix. There's original songs are usually better, but one cover he thinks is better is go now by the moody Blues. I thought that was an original. So did I. I don't recall that. Margo. You recall that song being done by somebody before the moody blues? I don't I'm learning something today. No. Well, I'm uh, for the time being, I guess we have to believe Phoenix. Our Felix. "Are created. It's been almost 60 years since Dr King made that famous speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, seen by throngs. The National Mall. This Wednesday. At the other end of that mall on the steps of the U. S. Capitol, Joe Biden and Kamila Harris will be sworn in as president and vice president. Normally, there would be huge crowds to celebrate that great occasion. And the peaceful transition of power. But the covert 19 pandemic has made large, dense crowds. Too dangerous and the transition? Yeah, hasn't been very peaceful. After the attack on the Capitol two weeks ago and threats of violence from Trump supporters across the country. The mall is now surrounded by layers of 8, ft metal fencing and thousands of National Guard troops in every level of law enforcement from secret service. The local police officers there to stop domestic terrorists from trying to attack and overthrow the government. There is a strong racist theme throughout many of those groups. So it seemed like a good day to ask. How far has America come in the quest to realize Dr King's dream? Erin Aubry Kaplan is a journalist and the author of Black Talk Blue Thoughts and Walking the Color Line dispatches from a black journal Ista. Aaron, Welcome to you. Thank you, Steve. Good to be here. Happy King Day, and Isaac Bryan heads up the black policy project over U C l a Isaac welcome. It's going to be with you, Steve Aaron. I'm going to start with you because this past summer, obviously there was a lot of to malt as well. With the Black lives matter. Protests over police killings of black Americans So many people of all colors came out to support those protests here in Los Angeles and across the country for that matter around the world. Now this attack on the capital by Trump loyalists and even among them, white supremacists and other groups with racist ideologies. What do you make of what's going on? Nothing. Good. Um it's really frightening. You know, I try to look back and say much progress has been made. You know, Jim Crow laws fell. Certain things change, but the racial animus the white supremacy that's always sort of that's you know, really. The foundation of the country is really asserting itself or reasserting itself in a really obvious mainstream kind of way that I've never seen. What really, really makes me very uneasy is it's not that this is new stuff, but It's mainstream, and we have this kind of energy. This animus in The ranks of our elected officials of the paralysis of the Rooty Opie. And I just don't have any idea how you work with that. So you know if they all left, we'd have basically half of Congress and you know it. Zoom drawing a blank when I think of what to do next, but Have to hold on to the fact that there were those protests last year. As you pointed out, there was a true kind of anti racist awakening that's still in its early stages. But then goodness we have that, but it's very, very much a hot front meeting of Cold front and There is already clash that we're seeing between the sort of people who assert that America really is about white supremacy. And there's actually truth to that. And then the other side that says no, we have. We're better than that. We are a country that can become something else and it's an age old fight, but it feels very, very Critical right now this moment. Somebody was flying the Confederate flag in the middle of the U. S. Capitol that that didn't even happen during the civil war in the United States. Yes. Um, You know, I look at those images and the scary is they are. I try to tell myself that he's there, You know, Fringe malcontents that we're just kind of watching this crazy reality show. We can change the channel, right? I think. The problem with 2020 is that we? I think it's the minds of many Americans were watching this horror show think that we can sort of re boot reset ourselves. We have that ability or that we have that sort of, you know, cultural technology. We can just go back or or just, you know, change course, quickly instantly. Uh, no. Um it's very clear that that can't happen. And again. I just worry about what I call the viral loads. You know, we we've always had white supremacy, racist ideology, which comes out in many, many different ways. We've had many, many warning signs over the years. What the viral load feels like. We've kept it below a certain level. More or less, and now it's over the limit. You know, it's over the point. Where where, you know it can infect us. It is completely infected us and how we uninfected ourselves. I don't know. It's just so interesting, too, that this coincides with the pandemic, of course. Because, of course, we have a physical pandemic and really political, really spiritually pandemic of white anger, which is really at the root of everything, And you know the difference between now and all the years I've lived so far. Is that many people embracing this openly. It is no longer moral issues. Dr. King, you know, at least made this a moral issue for the whole country. For many people, this is simply not a moral issue anymore. The moral issue for them is We need to restore America, too. You know the way it was before or we need to start our dominance. And that is their moral issue. It is not about bringing the country together. We're way past that. Well, I mean, I think the predominant thought Among the people who are pro testing the Trump loyalists, and certainly those of the far right are that it is Quite victimhood right that that the pendulum has swung so far to the left that they're being excluded now that they're the victims of racism. We've seen this even in in polls over the past couple of decades that that white people feel like There is racism against them. Isaac, What do you think about that? I mean, do you? Do you see Dr King's dream being realized, or is there This, You know, multi decade pushback. Yeah, No, that's that's a great question, And I don't think that it's it's realized. I think we get symbolic gestures of realization from time to time, but at the substance and at the root systemically, we're not seeing To change with the dream that Dr King marched and spoken, died for play out. We see our first black woman, a spice, president of the United States, which is an incredible Victory for representation. But there's not a black woman in the entire U. S senate now. Right, And we are seeing unarmed black people and black people murdered by law enforcement as we saw in the sixties as we saw during the black codes as we saw during the days of slave catching, and we still have the largest mass incarceration, infrastructure. In the entire world. And so Dr King's dream is definitely not been realized. In this white rage that we've seen this really and legally attack the U. S capitol and other places all around the country that we don't See on the news as visually Isa pushback that I think is still tied to the election of Barack Obama, which was still undermined by a Senate that refused to confirm any of his judge appointments Supreme Court nominations in other powers that he held Yet still clapped back like the entire country had moved against white folks instead of towards a shared vision for the future, and I don't fully understand that, but I'm hopeful that we can move move beyond it,.

I try to tell myself that these they're you know, fringe malcontents that we're just kind of watching this crazy reality show. We could change the channel, right? I think the problem with 2020 is that we? I think it's the minds of many Americans were watching this horror show. I think that we can sort of re boot reset ourselves. We have that ability or that we have that sort of, you know, cultural technology. We can just go back or or just, you know, change course. Quickly, instantly. Uh, no. Um it's very clear that that can't happen. And again. I just worry about what I call the viral loads. You know, we we've always had white supremacy, racist ideology, which comes out in many, many different ways. We've had many, many warning signs over the years. What the viral load feels like, You know, we've kept it below a certain level. You know the way it was before or we need to start our dominance and then is their moral issue. It is not about bringing the country together. We're way past that. Well, I mean, I think the predominant thought Among the people who are pro testing the Trump loyalists, and certainly those of the far right are that it is White victimhood right that that the pendulum has swung so far to the left that they're being excluded now that they're the victims of racism. We we see our first black woman, a spice president of the United States, which is an incredible Victory for representation. S capitol and other places all around the country that we don't See on the news as visually Isa pushback that I think is still tied to the election of Barack Obama, which was still undermined by a Senate that refused to confirm any of his judge appointments Supreme Court nominations in other powers that he held Yet still clapped back like the entire country had moved against white folks instead of towards a shared vision for the future, and I don't fully understand that, but I'm hopeful that we can move move beyond it, and I think it's bigger than just the GOP and the Democrats. I think it's more than right and left..
