"To interception ratio during that span. So swagger a great run for the Jaguars and included an unbelievable. Literally historic comeback in the playoffs over the Chargers, but how could they go from what they did at the end of last season to an even better team this year? Every time I see Trevor Lawrence numbers from last year and I see the improvement that he made, I just think competency. That's what comes to mind, but obviously that's the time and another place to have a conversation. Doug fetus did a phenomenal job with a young team, getting them to understand how important it is to not only one take care of the football, obviously we saw that against the charges go downhill. And then was able to come out in the second half without blinking. I think you compound on that. You continue to build trouble Lawrence up and have him believe that he's a top 5 guy in this league because at times those flashes show. And then the guy that we showed coming off. Calvin Ridley, I don't know if people remember where he was trending before the obvious suspension by the NFL, but he was training as a number one wide receiver. And Atlanta was ready to make him the guy. That was going to lead them as far as the wide receiver position. You couple that with Christian Kirk and what they did in the run game with Travis Etienne and Doug Peterson's not only his experience, but his way to galvanize. This team was down 30. And came back to win a playoff game. So I think you're just Bill know some of those things and obviously create the ad nuance to this offense, but I think the Jacksonville Jaguars are going to be a handful this year for everybody that they play. Yeah. And it must be opposite day because yet again, Marcus is going to talk about the offense. I'm going to bring up the defense, but this time, instead of talking about them as a unit, I expect to make a leap like Carolina. I'm going to express some concerns because the Jaguars essentially just ran it back both in terms of the players and the coaching staff and this is the past defense that was very inconsistent last year. So for them to truly compete at the top of the AFC, which should be the goal for this team based on what they did last season, what we know that the offense is capable of, you're going to need improvement from players already on the roster. Tyson Campbell, at times, looked like a real number one cornerback. Can he be that guy over the course of an entire season? Darius Williams, once they moved him outside last year, played really good ball. Can he build on that? And then perhaps most importantly, the number one overall pick, trevon walker. He has to play like the number one overall pick. He has to make an impact because of getting to the quarterback, like the number one overall pick because otherwise I don't see how this defense improves. Yeah, Amina, I know that we often go ahead. Excuse me. Baby face I gave him a year. Yes. I gave him a year. I was not hard on him. Being a brought it up, but I'm gonna need to see a lot from that DMV this year because that number one overall pick put some pressure on you. And I just gave him a year to get acclimated because my man Aiden Hutchinson in Detroit show why he was a topic at the defensive end position. I'm a need to see something out of Trayvon walker this year. And I try not to over inflate the final game or games of a season, but let's not forget that when Patrick Mahomes was playing on basically one leg in the AFC divisional round. The Jaguars got no pressure on him. It didn't matter that he couldn't barely walk. He was able to just stay in the pocket and throw the ball because of a lack of pressure from that Jaguar's defense. Let's go to The Spring League meetings. They're taking place in Minnesota today. Another opportunity for the owners to convene and discuss a wide variety of matters. We've got boots on the ground coverage from our own Jeremy Fowler and Jeremy hello. This is the first time the owners are gathering since the news broke about the agreement being reached on the sale of the Washington commanders, but more can you tell us there? Well, field down the hall behind me owners will be briefed on that looming commander's sale. They will not take a formal vote on the matter that should come later potentially around July or August this summer. And so it's a matter that will be resolved eventually, but it's in the hands of the finance committee. We spoke with colts owner Jim irsay just a little while ago, and he said, look, he's hopeful that this sale goes through, but they have to be compliant, just like past bidders. It has to work through the formal process. And so speaking of the commanders and colts field, the NFL's inquiry into that Andrew Luck matter whether the commanders were actually tampering with the quarterback once upon a time that has been resolved to the cold satisfaction. According to our Stephen holder, so that matter should be put to bed. Okay, and no discipline there as well. Let's go to another big talking point, which is going to be the potential to flex some Thursday Night Football games. I know how Twitter feels about this, but what specifically is being discussed, Jeremy. Well, feel later this afternoon, they are going to discuss and vote upon the right to flex games between weeks 13 and 17 of this coming season. It would be a one year experiment. So the league's treading carefully here. They know there's been some pushback from some owners, namely giants owner John Mara about this concept, but the possibility would really be about two flex games max on this given year, similar to what you see with Sunday Night football. So that would be sort of the average and there is a little bit of momentum there. So we'll find out here in a few hours how that shakes out. All right, I just took a poll within NFL live in our staff. And we vote no on this just for the record. But following last year's NFC championship game, there were rumors that the league may start allowing teams to carry a third quarterback on their roster without burning an active roster spot. What more can you tell about that? Yeah, so that got approved today field. They will have that emergency quarterback that doesn't count against the active game day roster. So if you have three quarterbacks, you have the benefit of keeping them off the game day active roster. You have to be active during the week though. So a team like Tennessee, where they drafted Malik Willis a year ago and he's sort of the odd man out in the quarterback rotation. This could benefit him where you have a third guy who's ready to play in case the first two players that are on the roster can't play for injury reasons or suspension reasons. It would have to be something hard and fast beyond just performance. But this was sort of considered a no brainer among the teams I've talked to after what happened to San Francisco in that NFC championship game. We'll call it the Brock purdy rule. Plenty more from Jeremy Fowler in Minnesota coming up just a little bit later on NFL live. But new one NFL live, our own game is in Hensley tweeted the following ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was absent from the first day of OTAs, but he's expected to participate in OTAs this week, a reminder for anybody asking, these are mandatory. You can show up, you can not show up, it's totally your prerogative. Just getting started here on NFL live and Justin Simmons, the all pro safe you had some glowing comments for his new coach Sean Payton, but how can he help Denver and Russell Wilson bounce back after a rough year? Marcus says it starts with a play calling. Plus, FBI says the chiefs of the best team in the league and will have the best record. But next, both Marcus and Mina will poke holes in the reigning champs case to go back to back. Slide down at the one very smart inbounds. 11 seconds left to kick is good. Then chase kingdom will raise a banner a phone to National Football League again. ESPN analytics released their football power index for the 2023 season earlier today, the eagles and chiefs are the favorites to face off in the Super Bowl again. That happens would be the first time same two teams met in the Super Bowl in consecutive seasons since the cowboys and bills in 1993 and 1994. All right, not to be the Debbie downer here, Mina, but one of the potential biggest pitfalls that eagles have to avoid this year in order to get back to the Super Bowl. Well, this is really challenging because I personally believe they have the most complete roster in the NFL. It's very hard to find holes. But if there is a hole and I would say it's more of a question mark, it's linebacker, TG Edwards left and free agency. Nicobi dean, who they drafted last year out of Georgia was an excellent college player. We just haven't seen him play. Now, I would also add that this is the concern because of the competition that the eagles play in the NFC, particularly San Francisco, where we know the linebacker position takes on more important defending them than it does other teams. So to me, nicobi dean is a player who could be more important than it might seem and potentially a pitfall for an otherwise stacked roster. Absolutely. Okay, I'm going to stay on that same side of the ball and go defensive line. And I'm going to talk about youth. And people like you, what the hell do you mean? Fletcher Cox is back. Brandon Graham is there. Josh sweat is back. Like, what do you mean? I mean the interior of this defensive line when it comes to Jalen Carter. Look, I know it's been hyped and Jordan Davis was drafted last year about how good these are. I think the thing that gets lost about what the Philadelphia Eagles were and what their superpower was, was depth at the defensive line, but all of those guys played at a very high level. And they all were experienced when they brought in and done the consumer as well. So I just look at these positions when you start talking about defensive tackle and MK and everybody knows how important I think that position has become in today's game when you start talking about impacting big gains. It's just the youth of these guys, not going over and above trying to be Superman instead of playing gaps and making the right plays and understanding how to rush in critical moments because they'll be in high leverage situations. Those are the things that concern me when you get young defensive linemen, but we'll see how it goes. My biggest takeaway from both of your remarks is that the eagles are probably going to be just fine. If these are their problems, it's a very, very small problem in the grand scheme. That looks to become the first team to repeat a Super Bowl champion since the Patriots back in 2003 and 2004, the current streak of 18 consecutive seasons without a repeat Super Bowl champ is the longest in NFL history. So I feel like it's the exact same story in the AFC Mark Marcus, but what are the chiefs need to do? And what are the pitfalls that they could possibly run into this season? It's the reshuffling of this offensive line. And I know they signed the one teller from the Jaguars and look, I know some of the games that I watched, I just want to tell there's a big physical, a powerful offensive lineman. Some games I was concerned about his protection. Let's not get it wrong. And then Donovan Smith. Listen, man, I hate to do it. Donovan Smith holds more than I would. And I've never played offensive plans. That was his issue in Tampa. So many holding penalties. And those are the things that derail great offenses. Patrick Mahomes and we expect him to be fine and obviously Andy Reid and how he calls plays and we've seen the success of this offense. The one thing you can do to shoot yourself when you start talking about playing as a high powered offense is these penalties and negative plays and not being able to stay on schedule when you start talking about games and playoffs in the expectations for the Kansas City Chiefs. So those are the two positions that are most important when you start talking about protecting your quarterback and we got new offensive linemen, especially at critical positions and the one down of a smith one concerns me, MK, because those holdings were a big conservative for me as I watched him play in Tampa last year. Yeah, the only thing that can stop Patrick Mahomes is first and 20. And sometimes that doesn't even stop him, but it's a really good answer for that reason. Or him being on his back, which we saw, of course, in a Super Bowl, against the bucks. The other answer I'll give for Kansas City would be the young secondary. And similar to how I said linebacker is of utmost important in the NFC, your secondary is going to be really important. The AFC given the high powered passing attacks, you're facing and Cincinnati, buffalo, Miami, Jacksonville. Now this young chief secondary, I thought played really well at the end of last season. Jalen Watson, Brian cook, you got young players Trent mcduffie, Joshua Williams, moving into bigger roles. Now, with one thornhill gone, they're going to need to continue playing at a high level. What we saw was promising, but if we're looking for potential pitfalls, it is a very, very young group that's going to be facing some very, very good quarterbacks. Yeah, I guess the biggest thing for Kansas City. It's just a conference, right? It just feels so different playing in the AFC as opposed to the NFC because the eagles seemingly have a much clearer path. Let's use those FP FBI wind totals from around the league for a little game of over under swag do we start with you and your cowboys, 9.4 wins, very specific number. Your thoughts there. I think it's closed, but I got them over at ten. I think I had them winning ten games when we did it in the studio a couple of weeks ago. I think the addition of Stefan Gilmore is not being taught about enough that defense is still going to be the calling card. They created a lot of opportunities for dac and that offense last year. I think they do the same this year. And oh, Michael Parsons still plays for the cowboys as well. Yes, he sure does. Mino, let's go to Denver, the Broncos are an 8.4 your thoughts. I'm gonna go under a little nervous about it because I think Sean Payton can make an offense out of anything. We're gonna talk about that. But I do think the loss of material ever who called the defense last year is something that might be overlooked. And I'm gonna have to see it from Russell Wilson before I believe in. All right, swag you back to you how about the packers at 7.4? Yeah, I don't know what the hell .4 is. They may win a half game more. I don't know what the hell that may not got them under. But I got them at 7. So don't get mad at me packers fans. Listen, it's a lot of newness. Obviously Jordan love taking over a young roster, by the way. I don't think people talking about that in Green Bay enough. I still believe this team is very good with a lot of talent. I think 7 wins is good for them. They make it 7.4, whatever the hell that means. We'll have to ask me if she's the person who's got the highest IQ on the show. Let's go to the jets don't mean to finish this up at 9.3. So tough division, but I'm still going to go over for a couple of reasons. This defense, which was playing like a top 5 unit at the end of last year. I think they'll be just as good. They weren't dependent on turnovers. They were young. They're so deep up front. And then of course you're replacing Zach Wilson slash Mike white with Aaron Rodgers. You're going to win more games. All right, coming up on NFL live. Mina's gonna walk through various functions on the TI 84 calculator to come up with 7.4 wins somehow. No, I'm kidding. We're not about the Chargers because they lost a lot of close games last year. With the new offensive Courtney here in town though, could things turn with Kellen Moore at the control center of that office? Yeah, don't make no mistake. Jeremy, there are some notable names that did not show up to the first day of voluntary OTAs, but more can you tell us about a handful of guys started with Lamar Jackson. Yeah, I feel the mar Jackson away from the team right now should be back later this week according to our jamison Hensley, and so the ravens are eager to get Jackson integrated into Todd monken's new offense. They believe they can help him evolve as a passer with all the weapons that they've added any more past happy offensive attack. And so this was planned by Jackson. He had promised he would be there later in OTAs, but never had a hard and fast rule of Winnie would show up. So there are no issues here. He's just taking his time before he reconvenes with the team. Now Deandre Hopkins is a little bit of a different situation. He's training away from the team, but he's been embroiled in these trade possibilities really for the last few months. And multiple teams I've talked to believe that a Hopkins deal with Arizona and another team is stagnant in part because of money. He's due $19 million in base salary, teams don't want to pay that, and the Odell Beckham deal him getting 15 to 18 million per year on a one year deal from the ravens is probably prohibitive to Hopkins because he probably can't take less given his stature in the game. Teams just simply don't want to pay that right now. So we'll see. Austin ekeler, he's staying away and this is not actually uncommon despite his trade request. He has stayed away from OTAs in the past while he works out on his own, but this situation clearly a little different as he believes he's underpaid making around $6 million this year. The Chargers have made clear to him that they love him as a player. They believe they make beautiful football together with echo having 38 touchdowns the last two years. So they are hopeful that he shows up sooner than later. All righty, good stuff there from Jeremy out in Minnesota more from Jeremy coming up. Mina, I know, we always talk about the replaceability of running backs and yet Austin Eckler has been so good over the past two seasons, especially. How concerned are you for the Chargers offense if for some reason Eckler is not a part of this team moving forward? It's concerning. Feel for a couple of reasons. They didn't add to their depths that running back. So you're looking at the same room with Joshua Kelly and Isaiah spiller. I don't think they found successor to Eckler. And then the other thing is this charger is often really struggled to run the ball in key moments. We talked to about the Jags making that comeback. Well, on the other side of that, one part of the reason why LA wasn't able or they blew it, frankly, was that they couldn't run the ball in early downs to preserve the lead. I remember that the average less than two yards per carry on first down in that game, which was a problem all season long. I've been getting rashawn slater back at left tackle will help the run game a great deal, but Kellen Moore's got his work cut out for him in terms of finding ways to use the pass game to create easier opportunities, lighter boxes for Austin Eckler on the ground. Maybe using Quentin Johnston as a misdirection weapon to manipulate the leverage of second level defenders because by and large, you know, it is the same room and other than slater the same offensive line. So let's go back to you here. And the last time that we saw this chargers team was when they blew that 27 point lead to the Jaguars and that wild card round sorry to chargers fans that are watching right now, what are your expectations for them as they try to bounce back from that? First of all, I would be pissed if I'm Austin Eckler. These people give me the ball a thousand times a game. I'm asking for a little bit more money. And we having a fight. He was the offense, therefore, a period of time with the receivers being in and out of line up. I think the most important thing for the charges is finishing and playing well in critical times in games.

"Average 80 per ADP. I'd rather have chase Edmonds than Elijah Mitchell or yeah, he's got that pass catching floor, right? That's safe. Safety net that Elijah Mitchell doesn't really have. I agree. Sticking with running backs, Sony Michelle. He was cut and then signed with the Chargers. He's going back to LA. First the rams, now the Chargers, any fantasy value there, handcuffed behind Eckler, anything that interests you there. Yeah, I think so. They've been kind of vocal about even Eckler himself has been vocal about wanting less caries. And I would think who this hurts is probably Isaiah spiller, there must have been something that they just weren't impressed with. And maybe they think he needs a year to kind of red shirt and figure things out. So they bring in Sony Michelle to be the guy to take some of the load off of Austin Eckler. Michelle's a guy who's done it before. He's never been great, but he's been solid. And he's a guy who can handle the carries, so yeah, I think he could have a pretty good sized role this year for them. That dude's got some serious luck. He goes from California to Miami to California. He wasn't New England. Oh yeah, that's right. It was a new year. He was there for like four years, yeah. But he was a first round pick. Like Bill Belichick made him a first round pick, made him rich, and then just had to sit there for a little while and not do all that much. And then he got to go to California, Miami and California again. So did he win a Super Bowl with the Patriots? He must have won. He was stuck here, right? I think. When every Super Bowl from like 2003 to 2008, 17. Well, I think he probably came in the league in 2018, 2017 or 2018, so. I think he won his rookie year. I think he was, I think, when they beat the falcons, he was a rookie. That game. Oh my God. And then Jalen

"The mildest take ever. I think he might get drafted. Isaiah spiller, I like him a lot. I think he was the most fun guy to watch. He looks like he should be, you know, just a violent sort of run you over type of guy. But he runs with a lot of creativity and I don't know. I could see some team sort of saying seeing that as a negative and being like, okay, let's just, let's just be decisive and go here, but I don't know. I think he's going to come up with a couple of plays that are really interesting. And then we'll probably infuriate you by leaving a couple places on the field. By virtue of his number. So here's two things that are interesting about Isaiah spiller. The first is that when I started watching him, I was like, oh, this guy's tiny. And then I was like, and then you look up the roster and it's like, oh, he's 6. Like one and a half, like, two 20. He's big. And he wears number 28. And so I think that in your brain somewhere that Adrian Peterson, like automatically kind of tricks itself in its way in there. But I do think there's some validity there, like the movement style, right? He's not gonna burn you. He's not gonna run away from you, but he's going to turn three yards into 5 yards more often than he's not going to. And I think in some of these offenses that are just so bad, I think he ends up being a guy that can just give you a little bit more than what you currently have. I thought you were going to say, Isaiah spiller reminds you of CJ's. Now, I wasn't going to go there. And thanks to Google. There is actually a post. On Google is Isaiah spiller related to CJ spiller. And the answer is no. But Isaiah spiller's dad, Fred spiller played college football..

"At out of pocket and We'll talk to the ladies who will be hosting tonight andrea annalisa and thanks so much for being right before we get out of pocket. I want to start with you andrea you. We talked to you. Friday or on the field for the game and there were some there. Were some challenges there for hanes king and his first start. How did you see the game from the sideline. Well you know you said challenges and hanes king. I was impressed by his composure. He threw a couple of interceptions came to the sidelines. His are fist bumping am. I mean they still had a lot of confidence in him and he never looked flustered. I mean i was right. You know walking right behind him and He never looked flustered. And so i really thought that was huge Also when he made some of those big plays his teammates were so excited he scrambled one time out of the pocket and was running and everybody on the sidelines. Was like that's our guy that's our guy so the excitement about hanes king and the composer that he showed also paul. He's got a lot of skill guys around him. Isaiah spillers devante chain. Had that big run. They've got some. They've got some talent. And i think they all really really support hanes came in. Obviously you saw the. We'll let us show on the sidelines in lexington. We're about to talk to coach stoops. what was the. What was it like being there. And what are your impressions of kentucky. Yeah paul it was sort of an out of body experience at times because we're standing on the sidelines and were keeping up with the amount of passing yardage kentucky's adding and adding and adding a we're in the three hundred and then we're in the four hundreds and i'm looking down like I'm in lexington ray. Like i'm in lexington kentucky and they're throwing for over four hundred yards so it was very exciting for fans. I will say what. I'm more looking forward to coming up this weekend. Having seen kentucky week one they're taking on missouri this coming weekend and liam cohen went into this game telling us that they really only had eighty eighty five percent of the offense installed so we didn't even really see most of what kentucky's going to show throughout the season this year. We got a little taste of it and that little taste went really well against you obviously in similar to what you said about am. You've got one del robinson. You've got josh ali. You've got a stable of running backs in kentucky that really makes them an offensive threatens gonna give them the opportunity to potentially pose a threat to the sec east here in just a couple of dates. Exactly let me Before you guys get ready for your show. What is What's on deck tonight in an hour and thirteen minutes with kentucky. I spent some time with kentucky. I know laying spend a lot of time with them as well. But i spent some time with chris rodriquez and the running backs there and had a lot of fun kentucky. So we talk that we got some hyper. Nah hyper naza big thing. I don't know if you've seen it. We'll yeah some hot takes. Paul will have to join us also. Shane beamers going to join the show. So we're gonna find out some things about shane. And of course give our picks for week two. It's going to be a good time. Paul we will all be watching. Thank you so much and we will talk to you very soon. Probably friday Great to have you on baseball. Can't wait dray said about hanes. King is interesting. I think sometimes we look at the stat line and draw conclusions but she had a different perspective. Let's get back to the calls here at eight five five two four two seven. Two eight five in. Brian is up next. Hey how's it going. Brian thank you. Hey you know earlier today. Heard people bring up auburn an awful lot for claiming that they really don't aren't worried about him Seems like there's a couple of people have an auburn complex. I think auburn is a mystery right now and i think the mystery. Oh we'll have a few more clues not this week but the week after I'm really eager to see that. Penn state game and accounts what they did A week ago was really good. Well you know i. I don't have anything to gauge it on yet. But this just seems really familiar to me. Gene chizik first year and then Nobody gave him a chance. even recalled. Somebody saying that album was going to be alabama's little sister. Gus was hired and everybody was trashing auburn in in They turn around and everybody in the mouth and I just think that the georgia fans in alabama fans need to realize come into our house this year and it may not be well I'll make sure coach saving and gets that message. Thank you for the call will is in colorado springs. You're on the air. Hello will time listener. First-time caller wonderful. If i wanna make one statement. And then i want your opinion on something else So a couple of weeks ago you other caller call in and basically i agree with the gentleman. He said that this coalition or conglomeration. Or whatever you wanna call this pac twelve. Acc big ten thing was kind of a half hearted effort to do something in response to oklahoma and texas. Going to sec sec as a football entity only getting much stronger. I agree with him in that regard. But i would ask someone. What else could could these conferences do. And comes the punch line and i'm gonna make enemies but you know. Those conferences maintain some degree of academic standards. And the fcc is not known for its academics. Let's be honest here T to validate my point. Acertain certain extent. Or at least to show that i don't get much of an argument traveled around the country a lot. I have quite a few. Sec for the lsu auburn fans alabama fans. And when i bring that up academic wise that aspect. I'll get well. Hey we're talking football or we're talking the playing field in the classroom. So in that regard. I don't see much more that those conferences can do. I agree was half hearted effort and no one really knows what their intentions. I think they kinda jumped into it. And it's like the government figure it out later..

"Dell Diamond this afternoon. Enjoy the Round Rock Express. J. Dick, who's taken golf to heart is in Montana. Remember a few months ago when we watched the match between Bryson Day Shambo and Phil Jason told me that day I'd like to play that golf course. Well, low and behold, Jason and his golf group have traveled to Montana and they're playing that golf course that was on TV. So good for Jason. To get some time off and good for better to be with our great friends from the round Rock Express just got a message from our buddy Brian Davis. He's in a staff meeting at the Statesman. He's going to be with us at 5 15 instead of 4 15, which is which is swell with me. I love to hear from our friend Brian Davis to talk about. The scrimmage from last Saturday. Before we get into some comments from coach Sarkeesian ESPN had a story today that was released today. College football's top 100 players for 2021 Well, Longhorn fans buckle your seat belt, according to ESPN, the number one player In college football is Spencer Rattler of Boomer sooner? That's right, Uh, Spencer rattler, uh, he threw for 3000 and 31 Yards. 28 touchdowns 27 interceptions last year, and he is ESPN. ESPN's top player in the country. Number two Is Devon Stingley, a quarterback from L S U Going down the list. Mack Browns quarterback is the fifth best college football player. Sam How the quarterback for North Carolina. Good for Mac Chris Away from Ohio State is at Number six. Number nine. Excuse me, Number eight. As the best player in college football. Another bit of heartburn for Longhorn fans. Marvin Memes of Oklahoma, the sophomore. Uh, he is awfully good. He's also a punt returner he's considered, according to ESPN. The eighth Best player in college football at number nine. Greece Hall, the running back that Longhorn fans know from Iowa State. He led the nation and carries last year to 79 rushing yards and 1500 yards after contact last season with 820. This guy is really, really good. And Iowa State is that sneaky, good team, but you've got to watch out for many people have Iowa state is there, darling? And a lot of polls this year. A lot of preseason post I think they're going to be really good, but I'm not sure if they can compete against Oklahoma. And I think the long horse would be just as good as Isaiah, Iowa State. All right, Aggie fans. You'll love this the 13th best college football player this year, according to ESPN before the season starts. You're running back Isaiah Spiller, and this guy is great. Isaiah Spiller is great. The guy has so much speed and he is really, really good Aggie fans. He's number 13, the 14th best player in college football. This is a little low for me. I think he should be higher. It's be John Robinson, the Texas Longhorns. Outstanding wide receiver. In the last four games of his freshman year, Robinson had 47 rushers for 522 yards and four touchdowns, eight catches for 129 yards and two more scores. Eugene Robinson is the real deal. If he stays healthy, he's going to make some noise in the high spin. He is considered the 14th best 14th best player. In college football. Aggies. Here's another one of your players. The Marvin Leo is the junior defensive end He's considered the 15th best player. Aggie is have the 17th best player in Kenyan Green, the junior guard who is a big, big block and guard, so the Aggies are well represented. Going down this list. JT Daniels 24th best player. The Georgia quarterback. Longhorn fans saw him when the Longhorns handled USC a few years ago. So the Longhorns have one player. One player in the top 30 At number 29 is Brock Party, the quarterback for Iowa State. He had a great year two years ago. Not so great last year, but he is a confident, confident Competent quarterback, uh for the Oklahoma Sooners. So That's it. Looking down the list more and looking down the list more no more. No more Longhorns in the top 50 in Iowa State's big tight in Charlie Koller is number 51. Okay. Steve Sarkeesian met with the media after After the Scrimmage on Saturday. I was part of the zoom call, and he said it was nice to see you really reversal of the negative things he saw from the quarterback's a week ago to what he saw on Saturday, little bit of revert role reversal from last scrimmage Other the offense played pretty well today. I thought they did a good job controlling the line of scrimmage. We ran the football well, which in turn of the quarterbacks had had a nice day that they're efficient with the ball took advantage of opportunities down the field when they were there, and in the end, I thought they kind of controlled the town. Poll that the defense got better as the day went on getting some three and outs getting off the field. So all in all, I love the improvement from the offense again, the ability to run the ball, the ability to control the ball, move the football down the field. Conversely, when one side does goodness scrimmage, it kind of tells you the other side and we need to step that up that part of our game and that's half of its winning on first down on defense and then getting off the field on third down again. We needed 100 place scrimmage or so we needed to feel the stress of it of playing to have the football. And for the most part, I like the resiliency of the guys. Obviously, there's individuals along the way that are gonna need to step up more so than others. But in the end was a good scrimmage force. Here's more on that battle for the quarterback and how he viewed the quarterbacks for the Texas Longhorns thought they had a really good week. You know, we challenge them after that first scrimmage, and I thought they had a really good first three days coming off the scrimmage Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Thursday, maybe a little spotty, Not quite where I wanted it came back and had a really good, crisp clean. Practice yesterday, and then they both went out and performed pretty well from the naked eye today, but they took care of the ball. Our tempo was better offensively, which is a lot on them of controlling that tempo. Whether we're using shifts, emotions whether we were trying to go fast, Whatever that is, they control it on the field, and I thought they got completions. Half of the key to the drill in our system is getting completions, right? We have to be able to get the ball to our players in space. Allow them to make plays..

"When he had his best best games, you could see the flashes, but that consistency in that impact wasn't there and After the Cowboys needed the always needed a corner that could come in and play right away for them. You saw how close they were to really making a run at this division last year, And even though it wasn't at the tippy top, this could have been there division to have I just It's hard to look at the Cowboys draft class and think. Yep, I got a lot of confidence that was back. Press start coming back with more help along the offensive line that the additions that they made are going to put them over the top in the division. Some of the names you could like you could see flashes, but I really think the Cowboys panicked in the first round when past Mr Tanner JT Horn went off the board, right, perform a number 10 and I felt like that cascaded into an avalanche of really questionable picks throughout the entire draft. After that, that's interesting. Traversa Kima Sick of my joins us this morning here on this show, you could watch him and listen to miss part of the draft network senior NFL reporter there and the locked on NFL draft podcast. So while the Cowboys primarily went defense, the Jets primarily went offenses support Zach Wilson, and that was one of the grades. You like. Best you gave the Jets and a Would you like about what New York did? I love it absolutely loved what the New York Jets did. Of course you got number two. Overall, You got a new regime coming in ahead at head coach and offensive coordinator and on defense is well and They went into this draft moved on from San Donald knew it had to be all about the new guy in what did everybody say about the Jets over the last couple of years with Arnold? They failed him right. Whether it was the coaches the offensive line, the offense of weapons. Whatever it was, they just have a jet did not do what they needed to do. To allow Donald to improve to grow to get the most out of his Hurt overall selection there, and this is something that I say all the time, you know, number one overall picks his top five picks in general, They're worth a lot. They come with a lot of value individually. But when you draft a quarterback high when you draft a quarterback in the top five Alone here at number two. Overall, It doesn't just end there that that is the beginning of you Just signing your your name on the dotted line that you will be responsible for adding more and more value as the picks and the years go on, And that's exactly what I thought The New York Jets there did after the Zach Wilson selection. I look Removed to go up to get Elijah Berry fucker. I know. People say trends. They gave up a first round taking two third round. Thanks to go get a guard. What do they do? And you guards anywhere you guards any here? I don't care. Life. Very fucker is a damn good one. He's a fantastic offensive lineman. And you know what? Yes, I hear the argument about valuation that you can get guards commonly throughout the draft, sometimes even those third round every single year, but Where the draft is about navigating valuation and getting the most out of each individual pick. Sometimes it really is about going up to get your guy every now and then there comes a situation. We're going up, moving up going a little bit over expectation to go get a player that you know will help. Your football team is what the NFL draft is all about. And I think that then moving up from 23 to 14 to go get Elijah, very Tucker, putting him next to my cottage back then having the versatility and throw him right tackle if they really need to. That's exactly what the Jets needed to start building that offensive line. Get that best five out there for Zach Wilson. Then, of course, getting alive, You moron and Michael Carter. After that, God help him in the back field. The guy was a lot of great vision at running back and then a player who knows how to be a focal point of an offense with Elijah Maura. Fantastic. Sought receiver got to be a quarterback's best friend. All that to say they also got one of my biggest deals in the draft. And Thompson this hero being the safety at a Florida state you play, Marcus made a free safety role that he played so well and you get home to the place. More that strong safety rathole defender that covered one kind of a guy where he can move down towards the line of scrimmage and off a sudden that's safety. Do that. I really, really like And so yes, as you could tell Big fan of this Jets draft here the draft weekend. There's a lot of conversation over the weekend that this draft is going to pale in comparison to next year's draft because we'll have a normal full fall college football season. And we won't have as many opt out out out as last year due to Cove it. Do you agree that next year's draft is gonna be far better than this one was. Well, I think the grass is always greener, right? We say that every single year no matter what draft it is, we're all always looking ahead. I mean, shoot. I'm guilty of it. I already put out my 2022 mock draft that I had go up on the draft network. The day that 2021 NFL draft ended just because people love to look at what's coming down the pipe. Look at what's coming down in the future and see some guys who we could be talking about all fall long, But, yeah, I mean, there's Of course, there's some names to know about Latin. Next year's draft. Evan Neil Cave on Thibodeau, Derek Stingley Sensor Rattler, Sam. How Isaiah Spiller. Um, you know, there's plenty of guys that you look to when you say, man. This could be a very fun and interesting class. But I guess we kind of say that every year we look at the bright side with these classes until we really put them under the draft microscope and It was the same thing with Trevor Laurence..

"He's loose midfield. 40 30 25 2010 54 the way for a touchdown. Eggy scoring US 76 Yard rumbled by Giovanni Change. Game was tied 27 27. All of a sudden, It was all all Jimbo Fisher and the Texas and Maggie's Big fourth quarter there to win the Orange Bowl. And this, then picking getting picked fifth in the college football playoff was the best thing to happen to Jimbo Fisher. They're going to go back and look at this season as an absolute unbelievable success. And maybe more importantly, they're going to be able to talk to you. Just one of those players, Katie And say, Man. What if I need to come back next year. We could do something special, something that Nick savings done. And that's why he's had a lot of success in Tuscaloosa, is recruiting his players back for one more year. That probably does not happen. Had they've been selected fourth because they probably would've been the sacrificial lamb to Alabama slaughtering and the first round of the college football playoff, probably so and I don't know who they have behind Kellen Monde. He obviously has an extra year of eligibility. If he chooses to use it, we can come back. But when you look at the production off Jim Bo's offense All of it comes from freshman and sophomore than you and I talked prior to this game. I was so excited to see Isaiah Spiller up close on the field just to see how he performs and attacks the game and unfortunately, he went out with an ankle injury. Oh, my gosh, Given a chain was phenomenal last night. That's why he was the Orange Bowl in BP and rightfully so, like they just have so many guys that can step in. Which reminds you, you know of a top tier team like an Alabama the SEC. But I thought that this was really interesting. After the game wrapped up eight years ago and one day Jimbo Fisher led Florida State in his third season to a 2013 Orange Bowl victory. A year later, the Seminoles won their first national title since 1999. Jimbo, in his third season at A and M just led his team to the 2020 Capital, One Orange Bowl Victor, which I think is pretty cool. We'll see what happens next year's for them. But if they have all these guys return and take Ellen Mon Some of those offensive linemen say, Hey, we're gonna come back to the user. Actually, your village really? I mean, what would their preseason ranking be because they're going to turn so much production. They will be up there. Probably I don't think there's a doubt probably top four Top five. And I think Oklahoma was Spencer rattler in the amount of young talent that they have in Lincoln Riley squad, I think, and that defense sort of like a touch better. They'll experience. I think that they will be a top three team coming up having Alabama I can't imagine them them losing a whole hell of a lot of firepower because you're gonna have Bryce Young. Take it over for Mack Jones when he leaves, And so, Yeah, I think all of those and it's interesting. You said it in the third year is when these teams take off the thing that Texas A and M the question is, do they win? That certain likes like crazy way. Right like that, like, are they as explosive to me like they remind me of a golfer. Who shoots, you know, 71 great round, but they didn't do it with a ton of birdies, right? They did it with they're like, Oh, yeah. You know, I hit 16 greens. And you know what? Yeah, very methodical style of success. And can that style of football win championships in 2020? Frankly, I'm not sure. I think you can have a good season. I'm not sure. In fact, every time I look at a and M It reminds me of Notre Dame. To be honest with you. It reminds me of they play really solid football. But do you have that different level and we've seen it at Alabama? We saw that Ohio State. I just don't think we still would see it takes a in him. You know me? I'm a big sec fan. Okay, leaving right? Breaking news. What crazy? Nobody knew that. Speaking of Notre Dame, I know where a day removed. And so we're late to the semi final party. But do you think Clinton did Notre Dame a favor in the way that they lost that that became the story and you know, the Notre Dame lost Alabama kind of just fell. In the rear view mirror. Yeah, I think I think there was as long as I mean, Listen, it looked ugly for Notre Dame early, right, And there's semi final like that. The first two drives you're thinking, Oh, my goodness. This could be like a Cumberland Gap. Georgia Tech 222 to nothing type score and Notre Dame played solid football. I will say this is it's time to start looking at Clemson being a team that they listen is living up to which It's brand or not living up to his brand. The last two college football playoff games from Clemson. They gave up 630 yards ls you and lost almost by 20, and they ended up giving what 638 yards over to Ohio State, and they just got flat out embarrassed. I mean that that's that's one of the most ill prepared. I've seen a team on a major Um, what a major platform in a long time, like even going back to Florida, Oklahoma. I knew Oklahoma's gonna win that game because Florida just didn't have any juice left in it. But to me to see what Ohio State did to Clemson was nothing short of fantastic. That was his old school bully ball. We're going to take your girlfriend. You're not gonna have anything to say about it, okay? Which I didn't expect or foresee somebody being able to manhandle Clemson quite like that. I thought there was a couple of discrepancies from watching that game number one was speed. I thought Ohio State had a lot more speed out on the field. I thought to the defense of play, of course, because travel. Lawrence was on the run. He was pressured the entire night and then the coaching adjustments I thought Ohio State Ryan Day, and his staff did an extremely good job of making in game adjustments where we didn't necessarily see that from the guy like Brent Venables, who is always touted for being able to do so that did not show up. In that game, and I think that's why you saw the result that you did. So I thought that Ohio State was pretty much flawless and clearly made a statement. After reset on this show, many people have sat on this show. With six games going to be enough. It was clearly enough. Well. It was also Latinos extremely fresh in a team that had a chip on their shoulder for a bevy, different reasons, and they acted like that. And that's why it's going to be a fascinating national championship game coming up here in a couple of days between Alabama in Ohio State And now, of course, the big news is that Steve Sarkeesian, the offensive coordinator for Alabama, taking the Texas job, We'll talk about some of the butterfly effect of that. And also why this weekend in the NFL Week 17 and the 35 different potential wildcard matchups is every even more reason why the college football playoff needs to expand. I'll tell you why. Next Peter Burns, Katie George Best week ever on ESPN.

"Send it over to Shawn Kelley and Bear Jones who were on the call for the game. Thank you, Christine. Thriller at Miami Gardens for the Capital One Orange Bowl. It took us well into the fourth quarter to decide it. And then a next formation point put Texas A and M over the top. Other final count of 41 to 27 story was back and forth for most the whole ball game way knew that young players would have a big say in how this one goes. And Barrett Jones, none bigger than the statement made by Giovanni chain tonight and his performance. Well, there's no doubt and look at the final score, you might forget. The Aggie entered the fourth quarter down a field goal. But they exploded offensively only had 17 through three quarters but scored 24 points in that fourth quarter. And you're right, Devon, a chain the true freshman, not the biggest guy in stature shine away 5 £985. He came in for an injured Isaiah Spiller and he had an enormous fourth quarter 115 yards. Two touchdowns. He was the difference maker in that fourth quarter to put the game way for the AG. He's finished with a career high 140 yards. Otherwise, who should we point out tonight? Whether it be the Tar Heels or the AG ease in their season finish. Well, look, I thought, same. How Showed some incredible grip that I look. He was down so playmakers, a lot was on his shoulders, and he put his team in a position to win. He had a lot of young guys on the perimeter that he was relying on to make plays. Some of them may play. Some of them didn't have big situations. I thought he thought I had a lot of great tonight also kill him on Look, this guy's been a winner. This was killing bonds Best season. I was very impressed with the way kept his composure and make big plays on the stretch. It's just 31st career win. He scored a touchdown tonight. It's the 93rd of his career that ties him for combined rushing and passing touchdowns with Johnny Mann zealot 93 for their career. It's a great finish for Kelly Mahon, the senior from San Antonio, Texas. It's a great springboard for the Aggies moving forward into next season. The same goes for North Carolina who will finish 83 in the regular season falls tonight here, But when you look at the youth that they have and how than what you described That future is bright to the agonies will finish in the AP Top five for just the fourth time in program history, Way couldn't have asked for a better night of college football to wrap up the New Year, six final store again, Texas A and M 41, North Carolina, 27. "SportsCenter all night on ESPN Radio and on the ESPN. The day after the college football playoff semifinals in Alabama Coach gets a new gig at Texas I know he's knows how to produce and develop quarterbacks. We all believe Texas should be back. That's why I'm taking this job or bowl games on the day headlined by a thriller in the Orange Bowl. A way for a touchdown, A scoring a 76 year. I've trouble six years are the hottest team and the MBA been Simmons shows us. Why Hurry Loves effect. Cut Body slams A pal, you cab? Yeah, no James Harden. No problem in Houston Wall on heels. Shoots and gets it to roll in and upsets ruled the day in college hoops for the first time this year. Tennessee is gonna lose. This is SportsCenter all night. Now. Here's Christine Williams in This is SportsCenter all night on ESPN Radio and the ESPN app I perceived Williamson Happy New Year. Of course, As with every new year, it's a time of new beginnings for a lot of folks and with new beginnings. The hope is that things will get better. Right. Well. That's exactly what the people in good old Austin, Texas at the University of Texas are hoping after deciding to part ways with head football coach Tom Herman. After four seasons leading the Longhorns, there were plenty of rumors swirling this college football season. That the two parties may part ways. But just three weeks ago Texas administration said that Herman would remain the coach of the program. So our college football analyst Desmond Howard did not see this one coming. Surprised because, like you, I thought they were going to give him another year. Why did it take this long to make that decision so really surprised by it? Because I just thought it would happen earlier. If they didn't happen earlier than it was to go ahead and get in the 2020 21. Season the play out and then evaluate coach Herman. I guess they decided against that. Rumors coming out of Boston was that Herman was a guy as a head coach that didn't get along well with the players. The players didn't like his style of coaching. His approach was kind of like my way or the highway and with this generation That just doesn't work with them. That think that's why they didn't perform up to the standards that everyone expected a Texas Longhorn team the to perform up to, and I think that's why they struggled in so many games. Sarkeesian younger coach I think he gets along with this players a lot more a lot better based on what I've heard, if that's going to be the guy we know he's a brilliant play caller. We talked earlier off camera, but our top five play call of the college football. He was on all of our list. So he I think he had that person. I He could go out recruit. He can get guys Tonto, believing what he's selling, Just like we showed Indiana's coach, Those guys believing what he's selling. I think it's gonna be a great higher if it is Steve Sarkisian. As surprised, but he's not the only one who was surprised. This is surprising to a lot of people. Even though I did hear whispers about this before the Alamo Bowl last week, your Crystal Connie Raised that statement. Their athletic director kind of an interesting way in December, said, You know, he is our coach right now. I'm encouraged by the way the program is going, it kind of leaving the door's somewhat open for potential change. But this came as a shock to people on staff. People in the industry people very close to Tom Herman didn't know about this until literally 5 10 minutes before They put out their statement at Texas that he was out as the head coach, and so again, this is about opportunity. Do you don't make this change unless you know who you want and sources telling our own Chris Lowe and another reports. That Alabama offensive coordinator Steve Steve Sarkisian will be the target here, and they hope to finalize a deal with him. That is ESPN College football insider, Adam Rittenberg. Herman was 32 18 and his four seasons at Texas. He mentioned the fact that Sarkisian is coming in Texas has now announced that former Alabama offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian will replace Herman Sarkeesian is 46 35 as a head coach and five seasons at Washington and part of two seasons U. S C hour, Myron Metcalf says that the new coach has somewhat of a tough job ahead of him. If you're bringing in a coach and saying, You've got to get all the five star kids from Texas good luck with that It's not that easy because there isn't sort of this legacy that these kids have grown up watching, but that to me is why you have these unrealistic expectations. Just recruit Texas kids, and that's all you need to do to compete at the highest level. That hasn't been a reality in a long time for the Texas Longhorns, So if you really want Steve Turkeys would come in and make an impact. You have to start with reasonable expectations for this program going forward. Let's talk about something else. That's orange, but not of the burnt variety. Orange Bowl, and Oh, did we get a good one in Miami Number five Texas A and M versus number 13, North Carolina. Back looking to throw right side for the pylon wide open caught Josh towns who just checked into the ball game. Whether slut specialists hasn't and Carolina retakes the lead on a 10 yard touchdown reception by downs from Sam Howard. That was in the third quarter. You and C up 19 to 17. Pocket closing steps away. Rules. Left points down field comes in wide open, taught by downs at the 15 to the 10 to the five touchdown, North Carolina 75 yards. How called the shot and hits Townshend stride. He was opened by a mile you and see it's still with the lead and the fourth Howell 234 yards and three touchdowns for the Tar Heels you and C up 27 2 26 in the fourth. On hands it off. He changed when he left as a lead blockers on his feet by putting hand down double in sunlight. He's loose midfield 40 30 25 2010 5 away for a touchdown, any scoring a 76 ride rubble. Kind of on a chain. Ahh! Ah! Freshman, two touchdowns 140 yards for the Aggies Running back Isaiah Spiller would add two more Texas A and M pulls away from U. N C to take the game. 41 to 27. Let's send it over to Shawn Kelley and Bear Jones who were on the call for the game. Thank you, Christine. Thriller at Miami Gardens for the Capital One Orange Bowl. It took us well into the fourth quarter to decide it and then on exclamation point put Texas A and M over the top by the final count of 41 to 27. Story was back and forth for most the whole ball game way knew that young players would have a big say in how this one goes. And Barrett Jones, none bigger than the statement made by Giovanni Change tonight, and his performance Well, there's no doubt and look at the final score, you might forget. The Aggie entered the fourth quarter down a field goal, but they exploded offensively only had 17 through three quarters, but scored 24 points in that fourth quarter, and you're right, Devon, a chain the true freshman, not the biggest guy in stature shine away 5 £985. He came in for an injured as a A Spiller and he had an enormous fourth quarter 115 yards. Two touchdowns. He was the difference maker in that fourth quarter to put the game way for the AG. He's finished with a career high 140 yards. Otherwise, who should we point out tonight? What therapy, the Tar Heels or the agonies in their season finish? Well, look, I don't see how Showed some incredible grip that I look. He was down some playmakers. A lot was on his shoulders, and he put his team in a position to when he had a lot of young guys on the perimeter that he was relying on to make plays. Some of them may play. Some of them didn't in big situations. I thought he thought I had a lot of great tonight also kill him on Look, this guy's been a winner. This was Kellerman's best season. I was very impressed with the way kept his composure and make plays on the stretch. It's just 31st career win. He scored a touchdown tonight. It's the 93rd of his career that ties him for combined rushing and passing touchdowns with Johnny Man zealot 93 for their career. It's a great finish for Kelly Mahon, the senior from San Antonio, Texas. It's a great springboard for the Aggies. Moving forward into next season. The same goes for North Carolina who will finish 83 in the regular season falls tonight here, But when you look at the youth that they have and how than what you described that future is bright to the agonies will finish in the AP Top five for just the fourth time in program history, way, couldn't have asked for a better night. Of college football to wrap up the New Year. Six final store again. Texas A and M 41, North Carolina, 27 at the Capitol one Orange Bowl for Barrett Jones. I'm Sean Kelly. "Out to the left side for Dad's Newsome. He makes the catch and then tried to run to his left. He literally is dragged down by Andrea White. White has had an outstanding game here tonight. Only a sophomore. He's got more playing time than we've seen earlier in this season. The interception on Carolina's first drive of the game, and that was a great play that time by white. He read the tunnel screen all the way and avoid the block of the big left tackle a seam Richards and made that play. Was actually a good play call as the Aggies were blitzing North Carolina caught him in a blitz. It was just a great individual effort by Andre White, essentially forcing a punt. 24 tackles on the season five tonight for White. Hearing in two point here on fourth and nine from the 26 sent it down the left side and bounces at the A G. 34 then goes end over end out of bounds Sideline left. Oh, Somebody stop somebody here in the fourth, and that's the storyline in itself. I'm not gonna go that far. I'm going to say, Unfortunately, you never like to pin it on individual players. But Joffrey Brown stop that drive is that was That might be one that if for some reason, the Tar Heels wind up on the losing end of this one, they might look back on that play and think, what if, because that one hit him right in the hand. It was a perfect through from Sam. How 46 yard punt by Karenin. Sets up a and M of their own 28 yard line, and they'll come out again with a chain of the tailback. We will assume Isaiah Spiller unable to continue with as you mentioned some kind of an injury in the first half, That's really the only two running backs we've seen. Much of the season for ADM. Probably the only two guys they trust. So imagine the Von A chain will probably be in the game. The rest away in motion is lane right to left wing around the formation. Bond to throw here on first down, pull down as he throws and it's a wobbler incomplete out of bounds. He was trying to go after the tight and wider Mayer, but Hard to throwing Half your body is already being taken down. Well again. That was Raymond Fantastic, who has been wreaking havoc. In the middle of this defensive line. And again, he beat the center Ryan McCollum, and I just wonder if Brian McCollum still feeling the effects of the injury that he was on the ground for for several minutes because He has gotten beaten by the Hasek several times and here in key situations of this football game look like he's been battling an ankle injury. No fun out there trying to block guys with a bum ankle. I've been there. Too right to left, 2nd and 10 now From the 28 handed off.

"You look back on the game, and that's where the game is won and lost in those middle eight minutes. 17 13, Texas A and M I'll and the Carolina offense will come out here on a touchback, with the clock still holding at 20 seconds remaining in the first half. 171 yards for the Yankees, 150 for the Tar Heels. All is six of 12 in the first half for 66 yards. Kelly Mahon, now seven of 10 for 99 yards. Like those air first. Half of the first quarter numbers for some of the teams we've had recently to buy two set, how on the draw hands it off the British Brooks he has wrestled down fairly immediately. By Bobby Brown. And that most likely will take us to the end of the half. The clock is at nine seconds, and Carolina shows no once for lining up for one more. Interesting first two quarters between the angles and the Tar Heels partner. Yes, it was. They took both teams a little bit of time to find their footing. What credit tutorials are a lot of question marks as to how this offense with look, They put up big numbers all year, but they have four key playmakers out. They look pretty good here, and they had a nice touchdown drive. Capped off by a touchdown pass. The dads do some. They're on their last drive with a really their last full drive in the first half and then answer by Kelly Mahon in this offense, I think were to see a lot more yardage and fireworks in the second half was once both these offenses that really settled in all right, two touchdowns by Isaiah Spiller one score, freeing them their first off the turnover they stored in a short field. That is proven to be perhaps the difference so far story on that short field off the Sam Howl interception. So we're through three quarters.

The gang's all here at the carriage house studios in Madisonville 74 degrees and hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens and now 7 to 3, Texas A and M on top. Of North Carolina here in the first numbers don't blow you away by any means, other than the fact we've already had five penalty flags, three Fran and two for North Carolina. Total offense 35 for the agonies. They scored on a short field after the Sam Hall interception. 44 yards now total for North Carolina, so that number has actually got to be updated now because they just covered 63 on that drive, So our step monitor is not up today as well. Well, we'll keep this in mind. Sean. North Carolina has not played a football game since December, 12, so it's been a while. Eyes. Their last day of the season was canceled. And like many, many games we've seen this season so text me never has had a game at least one week. More recently, December the 19th So that could be factoring in a little bit. I know they're also missing some guys, but that could be an explanation for some of those false starts again. No, you have that kind of lay off when you're used to playing every week. Sometimes it just takes a little bit to get your footing back. Carolina is just simply happy to be at this point, and it is a mark. I mean, think about this. With regard to background. He has turn this program around from what two wins two years ago. So now in a new year's six, it's a matter of fact, the last time that North Carolina Played in a major bowl game was 1950. The number one song on the Billboard charts was Good Night. Irene by Gordon Jenkins in the Weavers. John Medani, Our producer, remembers it well, It's a classic. I do not remember that I've never heard of that song. Was today years old when I heard those those works, so it's embarrassing. No, I don't think so. I just thought it was the song because I just growing up. I heard my dad say that all the time. Good night, Irene. Helen. I've heard the phrase A lot of chicken left to right one to the back of the end zone. So the baggies back out with the lead at 73, Quel Monde and Isaiah Spiller and the center have.
