Podcast on celebrating the second anniversary for those who don't know about this. Podcast tech. Started this to help die professionals with various topics and techniques. But it's not just for dive professionals. I remember listening to the first episode. Way back in two thousand nineteen just before dima that year i've come to look forward to each weekly episode tech plans to keep the show going and has teed up a lot of great new content for the year year ahead. So i'd encourage you to check out the dive locker podcast. There's a lot of great information and perspective on things that hopefully will give you something to think about. Scuba shack is a proud patron of the dive locker. By the way tech also hosts a podcast titled the league of extraordinary divers. Where you can listen to some of the giants of our industry. Great job tech. Keep it coming now. I don't know what it is. But i seem to be a sucker for a message in a bottle story. So here's another one this time. The story involves a bottle that was washed up on the shores of the big island of hawaii. The bottle started his journey thirty seven years ago from japan and it was put in the water by school children. As part of an experiment in monitoring ocean currents the number of bottles were cast into the ocean in nineteen eighty-four from choshi highschool hawaii's about six thousand kilometers or four thousand three hundred miles from the launch point now. The bottle was found by abbie graham while her family was visiting a beach near hilo. It is estimated that about seven hundred and fifty of these bottles were tossed into the ocean between nineteen eighty four and nineteen eighty five. The last time one was found was in two thousand and two on kake. Jima island overall. The bottles have been found in seventeen. Different locations including okinawa the philippines china and even the west coast of the united states. I just get fascinated by these stories and often wonder just how many messages in bottles are out there in the ocean now. Last week we got an email from the clearly clearly came in resorts and it wasn't good. News clearly came in resorts include cobalt coast on grand cayman. Little came beach resort and cayman. Brac beach resort. The news informed us that the cayman borders will remain closed until two thousand twenty two. Now that's tough at a recent press conference to premier indicated that phase. Three of the original plan will start sometime. In february given the rise in cove in nineteen cases the resorts are now planning on opening on february. Fifth two thousand twenty two. Now this has been a really tough situation. If you remember way back in april i reported that the plan was to open in late april or early may two thousand and twenty one. It's been a long and difficult road for a lot of places. Surely the caymans are feeling abroad. We hope it gets resolved before october. Twenty twenty two trip yet. That on certain there's been a great deal of communication coming from tom. Ingram the president and ceo of dima the dive equipment marketing association regarding the two thousand twenty one show in las vegas. Tom unequivocal be states. That the show has absolutely no plans. Of cancelling now they did indicate that accordance with the local health mandates. Everyone will be required to wear a mask on the exhibit floor. There are several large past exhibitors. Who are forgoing the show this year causing some to question whether it should even take place. I know we've been getting a lot of surveys from our vendors as to whether we plan to go or not right now matt and i will be there. Tom indicated that it would be extremely difficult to cancel at this late date. Given the contracts that are in place and that if it were cancelled it would seriously impact demon's ability to put on these shows in the future. So we're looking forward to a successful show this year out in las vegas and finally today. I wanna talk about a piece of underwater camera gear that you might just want to consider. There was an article from sport diver magazine by john widow titled great camera accessories for underwater photography. It was a scuba lab review of the products that the staff took diving at alexander springs in central florida. First on the list was a sea life. Sport diver smartphone housing. Now that's pretty cool. I can remember my first. Underwater camera was sealife. Reef master with a whopping three mega pixels now. This housing will fit a number of iphones and android smartphones. The housing is bluetooth enabled and his rate it to one hundred and thirty feet. The sea life sport diver smartphone. Housing comes with a vacuum seal and duly alarms when you purchase the housing. You'll get a free app that will give you access to most of your phones. Usual camera functions also included is a red filter. And if that's not enough to housing allows you to put in those sealife life color changing moisture. Munchers he i remember those now. The housing isn't cheap. It retails for two hundred ninety nine dollars and ninety five cents. Us but if you wanna travel light and still get some great underwater shots of your adventures check out the c. Life sport diver smartphone housing at sea. Life fash cameras dot com. Well that's it for this edition of wet notes here on scuba shack radio.

Lack of a better could be kind of a pain because like some people they just want you to play in street all the time. So when they hear like songs they they don't they don't know how to take it. You know they're ready for that shredding solo in stuff so you just gotta you know sometimes in other have substance you've got to focus on the song writing in actual arrangements and stuff like the song christou king fish ingram my guest here on the world cafe up next performance of long distance woman disregarded at ground zero and in clarksdale mississippi. Grubhub Accused of Overcharging Restaurants Amid COVID Pandemic in New Lawsuits
"Ingram hub in new york city a lot of restaurants. We're finding that they were getting charged for phone calls. Now you think about that. And you're like that's kind of weird. How could grub charge a restaurant for a phone call. The way they do that is when you go to the grub up pitch for your favorite restaurant they generate a number that route routes through grub hub. I so you're actually calling the restaurant but not before grab the mafia daughter for you right. But like this is why they feel like it's mafia. They opened the door for you. They're not providing any service besides discovery. Personally i've done this. I i wanna call the restaurant directly order from them and reduced that mission costs so i go and they don't like maybe have a website or maybe grow is the first thing that shows up so i clicked on crop up. Call that phone number now. I know they are not getting a benefit from that. They're still being charged. And what's weird about it is. They can't determine the order that you've done so they do like an average so like they between like for this restaurant the hampel noodle the ex-pat in in harlem charging like five to eight dollars five to seven dollars about like approximately per order so like if i'm ordering like an eleven dollar noodles myself and now they're being charged five to seven dollars for that like that's a crazy amount of money. In a lot of cases it's an algorithm that was determining how charge because there's nobody on the phone listening. Actually i listening to the calls so the algorithm says this call last thirty seconds. It's an order but sometimes it wasn't an order. The person was like hey like do you have this dish like and they were like no and i actually hung up and drop hub was actually chart charging for that. Oh this is. there's a lawsuit actually a couple of lawsuits. That have happened outside of new york city or people have sued for group. Says like you're right. We should only charge for orders on the phone that resulted order so they still believe that like it should be able to get money also phone call orders but they basically saying there are a lot of fraudulent charge. There are some fraudulent charges that
Lou Dobbs Shares His Thoughts on Biden's Afghanistan Address
"I was wondering what you thought as you sat like the rest of us did when he finally showed up late as always yesterday What you thought about the president's address i'm afghantistan. Well i have to tell you. I don't think much of what this president has done In an almost eight months today was a capstone to what has been a dismal and deeply disturbing administration. It's almost inconceivable that anyone could screw up so many things so quickly and you have to think back to two dates the former defense secretary over a number of administrations said that in forty years. Joe biden has not been right on a single foreign policy issue. he's a man who does not get lucky when he tries to think he's a man who could screw up a vacant lot and To have him with a lovers of power Leading this nation. Is i think most americans now know a tragic tragic circumstance. Newt gingrich said on laura ingram show or being led by somebody who looks like a scared bunny rabbit in danger of falling asleep. Y'all would would accept that description except it's not quite lethal own up. We lose for ten marines because this man his defense secretary secretary austin and general milley. These are buffoons inadequate to the to the job. It's disrespectful of the united states military. 2021 Running Back Rankings
"Back here ready to record our consensus running back. Rankings fellas. how are you doing. It's been a while two weeks away from two weeks and a day away. From that first thursday night football game then really jones in on some preseason football but ready for the real deal yeah same here. I'm glad to be back recording. It was a bummer miss last week. Especially with the running back episode coming up one of my favorite episodes record but like you said it was better to be safe than sorry so we took the same approach. And i'm looking forward to finally talking about the running backs and yeah like you said two weeks ago you guys. I'm excited. Preseason is great. But i'm ready for the real deal here. Yeah absolutely you know. Speaking of the preseason and running backs is there any preseason hype campos. That's kinda got you guys changing changing your opinions on any anyone player coming out of the draft. I was probably a little bit higher on michael carter than most but seen him in action and seeing the jets team definitely falling down down my rankings. There yeah. I definitely agree with you when it comes to. Michael carter was high on him. Just because of how good of a receiving back is but he's been working like as the third and fourth running back in preseason so even though we looked pretty good it worries me that you're not getting in until the end of the games right now so it's up to monitor c. H. is injury is also something that's kind of concerns me. He sprained his ankle. In the preseason game i loved the usage that they were showing and using with early in that game. But you don't want an ankle injury this close to the season. Fortunately it sounds like it wasn't a high ankle sprain so he dodged a little bit of a bullet but you don't want an injury that's close to the season so she h. Was someone who is higher up for me and he's gonna move down just slightly as we go into drafts here. Yeah one for tonight was David johnson you know the the usage there is really strange throat. This preseason. i don't know if he's been cut candidate or if he's going to make the team be and being a starting running back but that's just kind of a a lower. That was surprising. How how he's being used with. Ingram and lindsey as well so that was another another guy that i have. I lowered my ranking well. Yeah i'm super surprise there. Ingram and lindsey over david johnson. Would he has moved up in. Grammar lindsey at all then with only two backs there rather than three. Yeah i just two of them. Windy for sure. We'll take the jump. Be the one. I'd be the most excited to have. Yeah i don't think either one of them are going to move up much for me Bill lindsay would be the one that moves up slightly. But i have very little desire to get any piece of the houston texan offense. We have no desire for david johnson. So i don't think it's going to move him up much. But if it does come down to david johnson getting cut. Yeah would that would bump up a little bit for
How Will the U.S. Vet Incoming Refugees From Afghanistan?
"You know the left thinks it's the third rail to talk about taking in afghan refugees. Got let them let them let them attack us. We we know what they're what people like cliff. Do we understand the the sleazy attacks of the left. They'll do anything to try to stop a common sense reaction. There's a common sense reaction if thousands and thousands of people from afghanistan are going to be placed in texas in wisconsin. Are they being vetted are we. Are we even beginning to vet them. Laura ingram ash that last night on fox news channel while we can all agree that some of those afghans deserve special admission into the us for helping our troops. No doubt about it. We're being kept in the dark about how any of these people will be vetted for starters. How many are there. What criteria is being used to determine who gets in and more importantly with family members be allowed to join them. You just heard family. Members mentioned is cousins second cousins who qualifies as vulnerable person by looking at the news and the websites. Tonight pretty much. Everyone in afghanistan is vulnerable so there are about thirty eight million people in afghanistan. So how many do they really propose. we take. President trump speaking to fox news appeared with sean hannity last night on fox news and you're dealing with thousands and thousands of americans and others that are stranded and very dangerously really stranded in afghanistan. So it's it's something that you you can't even believe that a thing like this kid. I looked at that big monster cargo plane yesterday with people grabbing the side and trying to get flown out of afghanistan because of their fear their incredible fear and they're blowing off the plane from two thousand feet up in the air. It's nobody's ever seen anything like that. That blows the helicopters in vietnam away. That's not even a contest. This has been the most humiliating period of time i've ever

The Power of Attention
"The daily sales tips. Podcast and i'm your host scott ingram. It's saturday so here's jeff pejic with today's tip now if you're listening to this you're a top performer. Or you wanna be a top performer. So you're not the kind of person who's going to show up and throw up all over your prospects right. That's not how it works. You know better well. There are a lot of people out there who don't know how it works and don't realize that they could be better. So what i wanna do is just breakdown. Why that show up and throw up. Approach is just no good. And i think that it's missing two vital components and after i go through those vital components. I want to challenge you to do something at the end. That may put you a little bit off. Balance may make you a little bit uneasy. But i think that's exactly how you know that you're going to be challenged in the right way so the first thing that your show up and throw up pitch first mentality is missing is attention and look. I did this earlier in my career. I'd have prospects as i sold from office to office in orthopedics. They would come right to the front desk. They'd see me they'd be willing to talk to me. And i thought that was golden. And i thought it was just a perfect opportunity. Promise my prospect was never giving me their actual attention rose in the middle of something else and that lack of full attention really prevented me from delivering the message that i needed to deliver. It also forced me to rush a little bit in when i started consciously making the decision to not meet with anybody on an impromptu basis but instead work on scheduling time for a later day. Yeah i'll trade you two minutes right. Now keep your two minutes. I just want ten next week at my results went through the roof and not only that i have the right attention from them so they could actually hear and interpret what i was talking about. I knew that you know we could have a clearer conversation. We had better mutual action plans. We understood what next steps were in. The sales process came much more easily. It flowed much better. So if you're not already doing this. And hey i'm not talking to you i'm talking to someone you might know. Think about what. The power of attention is and think about how much

"Who certainly know the defense who can play rebound oga. Ford does not have the high. Upside of melvin ingram. But he's a solid with. You could do worse than having alex. Okafor's a guy who comes in and plays you know half your snaps so i do think that she's got to cover themselves. And this part on this kind of editorializing on maybe that she's looked at it and say we'd really like getting them and if we can open up the cash face to do so comfortably we will. If we can't we know we've got okafor on the back burner. i still more peeve. Frankly the i. I think losing shot was insane. The amount of money that he was going to call us and ended up costing minnesota. I don't get that like to me. He's the kind of guy considering their positional need value. I would have just said look. I don't care. We need to get that gun. Take care of business. Those two sides had a good relationship after he signed minnesota flat out said. I thought i was going to kansas city so it wasn't like it wasn't like jason have interest in did they just didn't bring him back and i i think with the edge we jones kicking outside. You bring back oakland for. I like my dan a lot more. Maybe than some others. I think he's a pretty good rotational kid and he got taco charlton. Frank clark. of course. I think the chiefs will be okay there if jones stays outside now. He doesn't then. I think there is a significant hole. There but i think that was kind of the plan and they shine gironde read. We're going to give jones a of snaps at there. I'm more worried about corner. I love snead. And i really liked ward is a solid to like live with various award You're one injury away from major issues there. A you better if you ask me other than like injury mahomes or kelsey your health. What is the biggest way you see. This season getting derailed. That's out.

"So all that say four million was definitely doable. Especially for a position at the chiefs really need more players that just more bodies. It doesn't even matter if it's if you're getting a guy that can play all three downs at this point. You kind of really just need another body that can that can give you good apps and i think ingram definitely fits that although he did only play seven games last year no sacks as jared sap. Our our new era had pride contributor. Our new team has pointed out on twitter no sacks and so there is a little hesitation that but what i think the the the non signing the chiefs not signing him says is that they either a confident in defensive end position or they don't think is worth the four million dollars and so i think we gotta we gotta take it as confidence that they they have guys there because i think ingram's taken that deal in kansas city if it's offered him i think you're if you're ingram you're playing in a division that you already know you know these offensive tackles. You're planning extra former team which you know. There may not be bad blood but hey you know t some players are motivated by that and you're also just planning on a better team and so it makes me think that the chiefs didn't offer this if you didn't if signed elsewhere for this kind of money i would argue that. They probably didn't offer him a contract at all. Because if you're offering veteran pass rusher you're gonna it's gonna be competitive with that number or higher. I'm not even sure they that he would take a visit. If the team wasn't going to offer you know something over veteran minimum right there. I'm sure they have that conversation before he even came to town. I think that they just made a decision that they either weren't that interested in him. They were concerned about his medicals. Or or maybe there was something in in the workout that there was a red flag for them. I think this was one of those things where the chiefs kicked the tires and decided that now this this is not Not a big need for us. It certainly does point to their confidence. In what's on the roster and probably their comfort level with the free clark situation. Yeah because i think that's another interesting point is that they brought him into visit. What like may or april. Maybe it was way back when and we actually there's been no official reports that they've had any sort of talks since then. I think it's it's just been all chiefs twitter and us speculating. Hey melvin ingram still out there. We visited or talked with him at one time. So they're still interest you think..

"Make a move so you don't have to sacrifice your great player where he is to move him on the outside. I think what you're saying is totally fair. The place where. I think i would just disagree. Is that like. I think what you have in. The interior is more than fine. And i made the mistake of saying the word find. That's on me. I no issues with them going out. And signing by the way bringing in. Melvin ingram or olivier vernon. Those guys can help you like whether chris jones on the interior on the outside wherever he ends up being. You still need help right now. A defense event. And i think that's totally fair to say that I think what they're doing is more about the run than a pass. I think the chiefs have noticed that their run defense flat out has stunk for the last like three four five years. Now in if you're going to get better there at the best way to do. That is by moving chris jones to the outside having jarran reed and derek nadi playing in the interior on running downs. Like first and ten second three those sorts of downs. You're gonna see chris jones. that's when he's going to be playing outside. That's also when you're going to be seeing anthony. Hitchens and mick bolton on the field. I think they're just going bigger. They wanna get more bulk out there to be able to prevent teams from running all over them. Which has been a huge huge issue for many years now and i think that's the biggest thing i think on passing downs third and seven Second fifteen those sorts of situations. I think you're gonna see chris. Jones bump back inside because they know that's where he's at his best when it comes to his pass rush presence. I don't expect to see him out there a whole lot on those situations. I think it's going to be very specific in the way that they utilize them. And i think they're gonna utilize them as a weapon similar to what you see them. Offensively utilizing mccoll hardman. Wear a one time. He's going to be in the slot. Maybe he lines up in the backfield and then ends up. Kinda motioning out. Does that that orbit motion like you're going to see him all over the place. I think that's gonna be what they do with chris jones on the defensive line and i think it's perfectly valid to be concerned about. Christians are moving outside. I have questions about whether or not. He is truly athletic. Enough to like ben the edge and go up against some of those best tackles in the nfl. But adding melvin. Ingram doesn't change the situation in any way. You're you're still expecting frank clark to likely be suspended in some way so even if it's for the first four games of the season or whatever you're probably going to see him bounce outside a little bit and i just kind of to see what happens. It's early in the years. So i want to experiment. I want them to play round because their pass rush was a problem last year. It was an issue. So they're run. Defense has been issued for several years. But let's not act. Like last year with chris jones on the interior he went for like twenty sacks or something like that they had issues getting pressure. And that wasn't chris jones fault. That was frank clark's fault and they still haven't addressed that. They're still banking on frank clark being productive and hopefully they do bring in veteran guy but i wanna see how that all fits together at maybe it's taco charlton. I don't know but they still have plenty of question. Marks there no. I'm not saying. They don't have question marks. But i mean if you bring in a guy. A veteran like me melvin. Ingram is the one that has been talked about the most cheap circles. I think it definitely changes it. I mean you. You have a veteran. I think a guy out there that you trust that can play that role out there right. Now you're sitting here with taco charlton and mike dana. Like i mean right now like there is no. You can't feel great about that. And i feel like a bit of that makes you feel forced to kick him outside. I think that was a really nice point that you may be k. About this is about the run but this ninety four anymore. So what they're gonna do. They see those off those four linemen out there and they see oh derek. Nadi in june read and chris jones on the outside. But they're gonna throw they're gonna to teams are going to throw mega. They're going to change the way as you said. I believe you all said that that. That kid is the top three quarterback and all of the league doesn't herbert heston herbert for the chargers whenever they play him talking about. Because you referenced. Top three quarterback. That's not on the chiefs atop two quarterback in the league. You guys believe is better than aaron rodgers right now flow herbert justin herbert justin herbert. He gets it games and he sees that front. They're going to throw justin gobert. Yeah they're gonna throw. And i don't believe that they believe that. I do not believe that they just want to say that before. People get confused. Show that just in herbert's atop to quarterback. I don't believe that. But he said he was better have been mahomes but they're but they're but they're gonna throw teams are going to to throw against those fronts. And so like i don't think i don't think the chiefs are going to be able to dictate like all right. Yeah these and unless they really get them in obvious third down situations i think teams are going to throw whenever they see that front against against the chiefs and i just i thought about it and i understand the thought of all right. Let's let's play around with it may chris. Jones is really into what he wants to do it and he wants to play on the outside. Put now that dude is great right there. That dude is great on the inside. And i know he didn't have twenty six last year. But but that's that's where he can be dominant. I just i i don't want to. I don't wanna just hurt two spots. And i think there is a real potential would do in that with chris jones and moving them on the outside you might i just. I continue to think that. Mike my kind of final assessment of the situation as we are here on july ninth. I don't think it hurts anything to try it for a few weeks in the regular season if it fails if you get into mid october and you're seeing what you're talking about right now we're on and teams are throwing on you on those running downs and you're not able to dictate anything and you're losing out on pass rush because you don't have chris jones out there honestly right around the time when frank clark..
Invest in the Stack With Justin Michael
"Though cyberspace. Scott ingram asked me to come on this show and talk about tech stocks. What are the myths really most sales leaders. Sierras i speak to. They're trying to cut their tech stack. But it's actually a paradox. You should be investing in higher quality. People do the open. Then you need to invest in tech stacks and only fifteen percent of high growth. Companies are even using a sequencer. Then you need to invest in training on the tech stacks then. You need to invest in strategic sales training. So you're looking at me and thinking. Wow all right daddy warbucks. Are you going to fund this thing. Let's think about it if you could take a team of five and give them the output of one hundred. Would you do that. Is it sensible to write single emails in twenty twenty one. Is it sensible to dial the phone one. At a time. I was doing an exhibition of a parallel system. Dialer knows able to call two hundred numbers in a couple of hours. Connect live twenty times. Get six referrals three points. I was able to do the work of to our days in two hours. Well after twenty consecutive hours. I was able to bring in one point. Two million dollars pipeline. So do the math. I'm willing to prove it out with the tech folks. It's a lot like the navy seals. You have to invest in the drain and invest in the armor. That's what i can tell you about. Rev ops and tech stocks your tech stack avoidance. You have to become you know. High technology quotient released his term. It's from psychology today. It could be a cue adaptability caution. Not huge acknowledged quotient. It's your ability to fuse. Human and machine and the first step is just curiosity right. If you're using outreach or sales lofter's zandt go look at the university. Go online and learn a bit. Like excel in you. Use about five percent but imagine a few used fifteen percents.

Jim pays john two bitcoins and sarah pays jim ten bitcoins and so on and so on then on the next page You have the same again. Set of transactions being written down on it and the knicks page and then expansion so on so if if you imagine each page is a block and all the pages of bound by the ring bind up being the chain. You actually have a a blockchain there right. So that's what blockchain is except for the fact that in a public blockchain this ledger or this record. Write this chain of pages. Chain of blocks is digital and is distributed to everyone publicly equally publicly with no central custodian. Why you want to use a blockchain. There are two major reasons. Why you want us a blockchain right first and foremost this when you wanna keep record of an entire sequence of transactions especially if you want to go all the way to genesis the beginning and secondly you won that record to be transparent that is you want the decentralize it by distributing copies of the same sequence records to everyone equally with no central custodian
Who Will Pick Kyle Pitts in Thursday's NFL Draft?
"All right. Let's have fun here with. Kyle pits blank will select kyle pits right. I think it's the falcons. I mean friscos. Been talking about this for some time. He doesn't think that the falcons are gonna take a quarterback he thinks arthur blank is all in on on matt ryan for another year to have a new coach and the new general manager. And here's the thing like if you trade down four. And i suspect it'll be teams interested in trading up to four to get whether it's trae lance macaroni justin fields. If you're the falcons if you move down if you move down you're not getting cockpits. That's just the end the conversation because either the bengals. The dolphins entertainment five or six and presumably. You're not trading with those teams already have quarterbacks. So that's the math you're doing and if you're not getting likely to march as we saw a report on monday for peter king that maybe julio jones could be moved with which seems crazy what they need a cap space Could you turn down for. Cornerback if the falcons you could but again what gives you more value in terms of making that football team better. I think it's how pet. So if i'm the falcons and i'm not taking justin feels matteo's trae lands i'm sampling. Taking cup pits. Janssen the blank blank. We'll take pets. I think it's it's atlanta. But i also be surprised if the team traded up with the falcons maybe even take pits like ryan saying you know the train up to the quarterback but you know teams fall in love your dallas. You know thousand the four but you know if a team really loves him that much and it's hard not to love that much than you could see. Maybe a team being overly aggressive. I think it was on On the nfl network this morning on good morning football there was a segment that they do with the giants traded up. You know. I don't know who is doing the job. Esau just a screen grab of it on twitter but the giants gave their first or second ebony ingram and something else to move up to four to get pits and it was you know something that on paper make some sense but you know. Obviously something is not likely to happen but still i would say it's four is where he goes. But the falcons do make some sense especially they decided we want from me jonesing. Another playmaker

Was This Marcus Smart's Worst Game for the Celtics?
"Not worried about -fornia he didn't look too involved and then again the ball time it was smart smart was absolutely horrific is bad as you can be is one of his worst games ever and you saw after he pulled the half court heave. The team just imploded. I mean everybody was like what was that. And then all of a sudden there watching zion. five them ingram's into the free throw line twelve times well and their defense just reached a new Wasn't great start the game but after that it just completely opened up because i think the whole team was which has happened and then they were down by thirteen. I swear to be contrarian. Bobby because i was i thought smart was brutal law game however that comeback in large part had to do with putting him on zion And that made a big difference because nobody else was able to keep cy on in front of him. Whatever they tried and then smart got that you know got the offensive. Foul got a couple of things rolling and made it harder for him. We had the work that matchup that that that paid off so he he definitely tone for it a little bit late. But you're right. it was someone else. Tweeted that to after that. Weird half court heave. It was just you know it was a weird mark. Your shrimp

Kyle Rudolph signs with Giants
"How. 'bout kyle rudolph chris. I mean i thought that was a terrific signing but now it's not a say no some saying it's sort of similar to this although the giants have not did not get caught yet signing player that now might need surgery as they did some some looking to medical. Know how you know how it is when they were. They doing it to hurt. Don't go actually. I actually saw it as as a quality. Signing what do you think happens there with. Kyle rudolph and the giants depends on. How comfortable rodney barnes and the rest of the giants. Medical staff is with his foot and if they get to a place where the player in the team can be on the same page moving forward then. I think it makes sense. I love the idea of karl. Rudolf part of that offense and having tight end set because that allows ingram to do more of the things to them being detached from the formation being more of a slot receiver than an inline end. And karl rudolph can be that guy. That's in the middle of the field reliable target big body guy. He can also help you capture the edge in the run game. Those are things that joe judge is interested in that position. So i like the idea of car rudolf. But it's got to be healthy if he's not healthy than million dollars. A year is a lot for player of his era.

What Will Green Bay Do With Aaron Rodgers' Contract?
"Head of the green bay. Packers reportedly busy busy bees working on restructuring erasers contract free some face cricket so far in free agency for them. But you guys know. That's nothing new green bay brandon marshall. Air rodgers contract situation is blank. Well i got lazy. And i just went with vital. I went vital. Because you know this guy can free up a lotta money. Yeah i mean can free up a lot of money and then you can go out and get somebody you can go out and get you know maybe a casey hayward's maybe a melvin ingram. Somebody can go on and deep inside and help you out yes. One hundred percents started their green and it was it was nickel wasn't good. He got better as he went on. We used to crush them cock. But anyways i wanted to say vital naked. But what are they going to do with the money. What are they going to get a backup. Quarterback can't help you now. What are they going to do. Go get a third stream offense alignment they every offseason. Keep this whole deal in free agency. And then what they're going to do.

"You're listening to the daily sales tips podcast. I'm your host. Scott Ingram. Today's tip comes from Joe Ingram the CEO of Ingram Interactive. I don't think we're related, but this is a pretty good idea. Give a listen in today's business, lead submissions, right or website visits that convert into a contact me or a I'm interested lead submission. Come in consistently so if you're advertising, the goal is what to get the prospect to engage with. With you one of the big things I. Always tell people is a confused mind will never click submit, so keep everything as simple as possible with that I'm trying to get one place with my prospect. I, need to be in one place now ideally I'd say ooh, that's face to face, but not all of us do actual brick and mortar businesses where we have to get in front of somebody where I want to get. Is Right here I need to get on their phone I need to get to them and ninety percent of all emails or read on the phone. Okay only seventeen percent of the people that an unknown number comes in will actually pick up the phone. Okay, but ninety three percent of all text messages are read within five minutes. Okay, so how do I get him on the phone? If I get a lead, submission form that comes into me and there's a phone number given I will pick up my phone and I will text that individual right away, Kate. Seventy eight percent of the sales go to the first responder. Now I'M GONNA. Go ahead and say I'M GONNA. Go text that person go. Hi, it's Joe over at Xyz. Company and I WANNA know if it's okay if we text today. So, I'm sending out a yes or no question very short very simple. Don't send the novel too many times, P. We're dumping in all of this. Information thinking. I only got one shot while they know. They submitted an actual request so again. Throw it out. There Hides Joel Road Xyz. Company and I just WANNA. Know if we can text today, and then I wait sixty seconds. A wait sixty seconds then I'll pick up the same phone I texted from, and I will dial their number the numbers already there when I dial at one of the best things that's helped us. Today is IOS from Apple. When you call somebody, so they have an iphone and you call them after you texted them. The system reads off to them. Instead of saying no number, it says maybe Joe. Now. They have to stop and think which Joe is this that I'm ignoring so you have a much better chance. So instead of seventeen percent answer rate I have companies almost up to fifty percent answer rate because the person's trying to figure out who they are. And why does their phone know them? And they don't? So they answer the phone and that gets you. The conversation gets you talking to your prospects, and then you do what you do. Hopefully I'll be back around explained better ways to convert once you get him on.

"PODCAST and I'm your host Scott Ingram. Yesterday my daughters went back to school. Those of you who know me well. No that I couldn't be More thrilled because selfishly. This means that I finally get to get my routine back on track that their summer vacation sends completely out of whack. But I wanted this year. A story from last week that I think is incredibly instructive. My youngest daughter is starting middle school so new school new schedule. The whole bit of course horseshoes feeling a bit anxious but what she decided to do. Last week was absolutely brilliant. She came to me Thursday night and asked me to wake her up at six thirty the next morning running. She wanted to walk through her morning routine and make sure she was going to be on time for the bus. Pickup at seven twenty. AM The result was pretty funny. 'cause she came home and told me that I could wake her up at six fifty and that would give her the time she needed and allow her to arrive at the bus. Stop at least two minutes before pickup. Now I know she felt a a lot better after that exercise because it took away a lot of the uncertainty and put her in a position to control the things that she can control. These dry runs are something that all of us can be doing when we get into new and complex situations. Especially if you've got a big sales meeting involving multiple individuals visuals on your own team going through a similar process to walk through a meeting and make sure everyone is clear on what their roles are. Who's going to answer? What questions Russians? And what you're going to do. Should things get off. Track is critically important. It'll help you conduct a much more effective meeting but perhaps more importantly it helps to reduce the level of anxiety. Now everyone knows what to expect and you can all be more present in the moment rather than having to think through do things that you should have already solved for in your dry run. So here's my question for you today. Windy you do dry runs. Do you find that they help. Are they worth join. The conversation at daily sales.

"And you go in there is the number three pick. And it's like we're not trying to win that has to have on your mental ability. When you go out and play the and now, he's in a situation, you'll lanes I think a lot of people thought he may play mop minutes he's gotten an opportunity and he's really producing. Yeah. All right. What's the answer here? From the big guy, Trey Kerby, go with got from Chicago, you know, ongoing from out of the league. But number great story, anyways, somebody might call del death Lancer. But Brandon Ingram was balm. Last night going career, high thirty six and a loss of the seventy Sixers Ingram has the most cachet of the young Lakers. But someone with the pelicans think Lonzo ball star while. Who's the most point of three so guys what young Laker has the most star potential Ingram ball or Khouzina. That's sorta tough. I think I do picking grim and it's not just because he had a career high night last night. He's had a nice actually run here. Four or five games? He shown flashers you'd give me a little you. Don't think he's got a small feeling for me. I think who's really I think so I think who's got a lot more flair flash game where he's a modern day pal Ford where he's gonna shoot the three approve, of course. But in threes now from Ingram. He's been good. But I just don't really see a big leap from where he is right now. I think he can be a good solid player. But I don't think you can take a big leap than he's kouzmine for me. I think he is. I think he's he's a very versatile player. And I think he's more suited to the game right now. I think Ingram's got more of an old style. So the game. And he hasn't yet showing me that there's a whole Mona go with that the word potential here for me screams, Brandon Ingram because I think he can do it all if he could do it all. Probably put it on the floor a little bit better than Cocker's. I mean, that's the probably the only advantage, but he can do basically everything he can guard. Maybe few more positions shown it a little bit more. From what we've seen the two of them. I think who's my has. And I've said before I think the like is would keep coups murdering ring them if they have to make that Joyce, which maybe they do in the next week or so, but I mean Ingram's getting better. But I just don't think he's quite got all that much for the Ingram's funny. When you watch him, I think worldwide web tweeted last night, he goes from possession to possession looking like, he's either like the future MVP and China, right? Who the next Kevin Durant? It's really true. And if you can consistently put it together, maybe he's not gonna get to Durant level. But I think he screams to me down the line the most that will be an all star of these three guys. I think he will a big part of that would be he'd be the guy that will get you a lot of points. I know coups looking fill it up as well. But it's tough. You can put it on the floor. He's got him. And you literally has the ability to score anywhere on the floor from this point. Well, the problem I think with him though, he's not strong enough being up to be out of really buddy yours at the way. That'll come time as he's buddy feels out. But I just don't seem being really muscle guys at the moment. Last night showed some muscle there. Maybe skinny. All right. What's the answer? Here. I think it's Brandon Ingram as well tasks that he can do a little bit more with the ball in his hands. Plus the Lakers consider him their drip, God, which I think should count for. Let's hear from you guys. John Twitter, hashtag the starters, which young Laker has the most star potential. Hey, maybe it's Josh hurt. Maybe we go back Bill trae test into the crossfire to deliver their autism..

"That's what he was until he learned to shoot the ball and break in play defense. Maybe he can turn into two Trevor REEs, I think that ceiling or even. A little bit better could be there. I think it's a great one the thanking on any. Trevor REEs is not going to stick around there. But it's a win win for Trevor REEs as well. True reason wants to get paid next year. You're not showing off your skills playing on the worst team in like go to Washington if you can help that team a little bit you are the savior. And if not, hey, it's Washington, and no one can save them. I think it's a win win for for him as well. So it's a weird deal. Maybe there are no winners sometimes trade this one is the answer here. Is it the picked a winner? I'm with you guys. I think it's better. It's trying to raise the best player in the trade and the wizard seem happy about it. And they need some holidays here. Honestly cheer up guys anyways moving on Brandon Ingram with the number two pick just go with the soon to be a Lakers building block heading into the season. But according to Pinkas over a Bleacher report rival executive expect Ingram to be traded at some point even though that may be after the season guys. Tell me Brandon Ingram long-term Laker. Or is he a trade chip which got while? I think he's a trade ship right now. I don't think he's caught developed into the play though, hoping for he's sort of stuck a little bit between the three and. Full because he's not really a big bang. He's not down low. And he's game hasn't improved all that much from season two to season three. And I also think caught Kuzina has kind of leapfrogged him in his rotation. Even call it MS more traditional four, he's not a bang. He's out there shooting threes. He's the foster on he's a good defensive player. But Brandon Ingram hasn't quite become that player. And I think the like is probably sense that that might be something in return for a young team to take a flyer on him and give up maybe another asset that the lake is could use the next season or Dan the line. But I just don't think that Ingram has a long-term future right now with the is a part of that though because it's not like you said like coups Ma maybe heart. They fit better with a guy like Raja is this come back to like does Ingram work with LeBron beside him. Well that possible or does he need the ball in his hands? And you're not gonna have that if you're playing besides the can't. Yeah, it's good to bring up LeBron James in this conversation. Because a lot of guys have trouble their first year with LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, who's retiring right now just said our first year together, we couldn't figure it out. And then everything clicked so Brandon Ingram. A few months in here. Thirty games in. Yes. He's not playing while he's not playing up to calicoes, MS key capabilities at this point. But I think the Lakers know that and they know playing beside Bron is hard. So let's chill on this. Maybe he's going to be the the fulcrum of their second unit. And if they go into the postseason because you're right. He's got a ball stopper beside the Brian James who Josh heart. They move it. A little bit more Brennan Ingram's not playing to his potential quite yet. But a few months in maybe he's not just a treat. You maybe he is playing a bit more to escape ability. If look if Brandon Ingram can get the Lakers any sort of Anthony Davis, or you know, Bradley Beal, let's say like a big all star type player that they're going to do that..
