Black Lives Matter Suspends Online Fundraising

"Questions have also been raised up what's going on at the top of BLM G and F and nobody knows there's no one in charge. It's a slush fund. It's a shell. It's a mystery. The organization is not appear to have a chief executive officer for over a year. According to the Washington examiner, which did great work on this, former CEO Patrice color stepped down in May of 2021, following criticisms of her personal finances she went on a shopping spree. She bought homes across the planet. Literally, Canada everywhere. This appears, they gave all these different excuses, but then this one gets even more interesting. BLM gnf has now off the suspend its online fundraising operations, tens of millions of dollars were also certainly raised during a period when the organization had no leadership team. And then of course, were the houses, spike dot com writes. Again, this is a terrific piece. One of the main reasons caller stepped down was due to the controversy over her real estate buying binge, which she purchased four homes valued at $3.2 million. Colors signed off on the deeds for a house in Inglewood, California worth half a $1 million, a custom ranch property located in rural Georgia, which was equipped with an airplane runway. And at $1.4 million mansion in ritzy topanga, canyon, a short drive from Malibu. You think all of this would make people want to know what happened to the billions pledged to BLM or the millions given to BLM G and F, but nope, the media doesn't care at all. Why would they be bothered by such things?

"inglewood" Discussed on The Times: Daily news from the L.A. Times

"I'm starving. You're listening to the times, daily news from the LA times. It's Friday, February 11th, 2022. Angel describe Inglewood in one sentence. We're going to have a little fun here Gustavo. How about it's always up to no good? No. No, really, as a city, it's more like a grittier little brother to hip Los Angeles that is coming into its own. That's LA times assistant managing editor angel Jennings who did many great stories from Inglewood when she was a reporter. And angel, for you, what makes this area one of the most unique cities in the United States? I would say the resiliency of the city and the people. You know, over the decades, really, you know, just the city has fallen on some really hard times. It's on the rebound again, but through it all, there was like this pride that exuded from the natives and from residents. When people said they were from Inglewood. They knew the world looked at them in one way as a place where gangs and violence, you know, what was on pop culture and in television. But they knew the real Inglewood. What tree line streets in a place where black people could get a piece of the American pie. And so they took pride in that black ownership and having the city be their own. And englewood, if it's no nationally, it's for its cultural impact, sports to the very idea of a black suburb, but also especially music. Oh yeah, we just can't forget about the cultural impact of Inglewood. Think about the fashion from the 90s in the early 2000s. Who could forget the dickies? The black snapback, the raider caps, the button up. And that came out of Inglewood. It came out of south LA came out of this rich black culture in Southern California. Then there were the movies that kind of exemplified the black experience. The wood dope and many of John's singleton directed films like boys in the hood poetic justice. They were all influenced by Inglewood because he was a native son of Inglewood. And even though Dre is not from Inglewood he's from Compton. It even has so much of an impact on him that he had to shout it out in California love and say like, Inglewood is always up to no good. Yeah, what's incredible about the Inglewood story was that it wasn't always this black enclave. It was the complete opposite actually. It was originally an overwhelmingly white middle class neighborhood. Southern California and Inglewood in particular was a hotbed of the Ku Klux klans up into the early want to say 1940s and 50s. When black people moved here from the Jim Crow south, like black people came from Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, they're those strong roots that go back to the southern states. And they chose these places because they were near what black folks called good jobs, good paying jobs with good benefits and they were secure. And they wanted a defense industry and this was like right after World War II. So they had jobs that allowed them to have money and raise families and own homes. They came to a place that Jim Crow was not on their front porch every day, but it was there in the background. It just wasn't as overt. So they were running away from something, but Jim Crow followed. There were signs that said Caucasian only some cities in Southern California were sundown cities. That means you can not be a black person and be in those cities when the sun go down because that means you might not make it out alive. Yeah, and you had a black middle class growing, good paying jobs, but by the 1980s, the city started to see economic decline. What happened? This is what we see in so many other cities where black people move into. There's this huge white flight, then disinvestment. So how did englewood bounce back from that decline to be the city that we now know? It kind of rebounded in a way by being a host to having the Lakers there. The Lakers used to play at the forum. And so that kept them going for so many years. They became the city of champions because this was like during the time where they were just winning back to back to back gains. And what some might call the marquee matchup of the year, the Lakers and game number two for Magic Johnson will host Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls who are riding a 17 game winning streak. Magic versus Michael tonight at the forum. Jeff figgs, Inglewood, California. Growing up in Southern California in the 90s, everyone thought Inglewood was cool, you know? But we also see the city hit its rough patch in the late 90s and early 2000s. How did a city that was this thriving black suburb? Why did it start to languish? So the Lakers and the kings moved to downtown LA in 1999. And at that time, that really impacted Inglewood's downtown, which is called Marcus street and that just started slowly crumble in a sense. And then also Hollywood park, which was like this huge horse track. People would come from all over to witness the sport and that left in 2013. They closed it up. All these economic tax generators were gone. So what do you have to keep the city going? It made it tougher for them to be able to take care of the basic things like paving the roads and trimming the trees. All that stuff impacts a community in a city and a people. But there are still people who stayed and lived there and whether that storm and that's why I say it's a city of resilience. So how did SoFi Stadium the most expensive stadium ever built? End up in Inglewood. I mean, LA went from having no football teams to having two, then all of a sudden you get SoFi Stadium construction in 2016, finished by 2020 and now is home to both the LA rams and LA chargers. Maybe there's just something magnetic about Inglewood and Ellie sports teams. The vote was 30 to two for what amounts to a hybrid solution to the three teams that wanted to move to LA. Oh my gosh, I was a cub reporter when that news broke that the brands were leaving St. Louis and they were looking to create and build a stadium and make a home in Inglewood. Ram's owner stand cranky plans to build a $1.8 billion complex that will house his team in Inglewood. The Chargers have joined the Raiders in the plan to build a new stadium in Carson, California, neither of those plans got the need to 24 votes from the owners, but they did approve cranky's deal, giving the Chargers the option of sharing the facility. Yeah, when it was announced that the rams might end up in Inglewood, there was a lot of excitement, but straight up skepticism, too. I mean, people are still angry about how LA lost the Raiders back in the 90s. And of course, Inglewood suffered the loss of the Lakers in 99 to downtown LA. So describe what their reaction was to just the idea of Inglewood, bringing in the rams and the Chargers to one place. You know, over the years so many teams that flirted with coming to LA and would use that to leverage and get bigger stadiums in their home city. And so at the time we were like, illegally getting played. This proposal doesn't ask for nor will ever be offered any public funds. But at the center of this, it was this mayor who was at the helmet. He was so sure, know the rams are coming to Inglewood and Inglewood will host a Super Bowl. He said that from the very beginning, almost like manifesting it. The reality is what's going on is that you have a developer Stan Kroenke who is invested in Inglewood and regardless. It became more and more real. Every time you drove past that area, you're like, that's not going to happen. You know, it takes forever for things to be built. And this happened in a miraculous sweat 5 years. It's just like even through a pandemic. I mean, they forged.

Larry and Roland Martin Debate Hillary Clinton's Character

"Many of you have talked about the debate that I had in 2016 before the election with a left wing host named Roland Martin who used to work at for CNN as a pundit. And now he's on YouTube with his show. I think it's a daily show. And so he came out to Inglewood, black church, full audience. I would say 95% of them were hostile to the great elderly, but I didn't care that I was on hostile grounds. And I went to the debate, and we had a very lengthy debate, for crying out loud, rolling. We have a binary choice, a choice between Hillary Clinton and a choice between Donald Trump. And don't get me started on Hillary's character. This is a woman who maligned all of her husband's accusers. A woman named juanita Broderick claimed she was raped by Bill Clinton and two weeks after the alleged said that Hillary verbally intimidated her. There are at least two well regarded books, one called hell to pay and one called no one left to lie to that describe Hillary hiring private detectives and getting lawyers to dig up dirt on her husband's accusers knowing full well that she and he had a deal that he could do whatever he wanted. All to malign the accusers so that the Democratic Party were able to get votes. And don't get me started on Bill Clinton. That's today. He is still a serial cheater. Colin Powell said he still blanking bimbos. And when Bill Clinton entered the room, he gets a standing ovation. You are full of hypocrisy. You love Bill Clinton? But Donald Trump is too immoral to be

Kurt Schlichter: From the Gulf War to the LA Riots

"And way back with colonel Kurtz later. Okay, so you're back from the Gulf War. You've just started law school a little bit more mature than the people around you and give us how things proceed from that point cut. Well, it was interesting. I was in kind of a strange place. I would party harder than anybody else in law school. Because an army guy, you could, 'cause you knew how to and you could do it, you could survive it. I could and, you know, I mean, I'm back from the goal. I'm not with any other military people. I think there were a total four out of 404 veterans out 400 in my client. One guy had 20 years ago been in the air force. There was another guy who'd been a seal. And it was strange. And I didn't, I didn't really stop until about 6 months later when I joined the California National Guard. And I don't know why I did. I just, I guess I just wanted to be back with, you know, at least once a year, once a month, a few days a month, be with guys who kind of knew what I did. And I found myself in the last angel's riot. Which you said, what you said was scarier than being deployed to the Balkans, right? Oh, God. Much, much more so. The LA riots, I was living in Pasadena. I look at this thing and we weren't expecting to get deployed. When I had actually joined up, I'm standing in the operations room at the Inglewood armor in Burbank, and I said, so what happens if we get mobilized and the full-time guys just left? 20 some years later as commander in that armory, I would deploy a company standing in that same place. I gave the order to set up a go. But at that time, I call into the United States, look, I'm watching people get the help now of them in TV. Are we getting deployed? Nah, they're not going to call us off. I go, oh, okay. And having enough experience in the army, I immediately packed my stock.

"Stimulating talk Okay. If I am 6 40 it is the Conway film and I thought, Well, e think it's better to talk. Tonto Commander Allen Hamilton on the phone instead of my system or elevate the Internet went down. That's what happened. S so while the Internet is coming back We have Commander Allen Hamilton with us. Welcome back to the program, sir. Hey, Thanks a lot, Tim. It sounds like Everest of technical difficulties. Just a little bit. You know, a soon as we assumed that mentioned, you know, the new district attorney that my Internet that cut off, so I'm not blaming anybody. I'm a little No. Hey s so you know, I actually looked up in in Inglewood. I looked this up and I can't believe this but a house that's sold in 1999 $113,000. Now. $1.3 million. That's incredible. Yeah. So I think we missed the boat there, Jim, you and I both. Um, yeah. You know. Yeah. I have friends over there. You know, across the square some of the areas over in Inglewood and they're enjoying the renaissance as they should. Um, you know that. I'm hoping that area's really going Tol, um you know, really take advantage of the economy over there in the business that come into that area, and hopefully they can keep a lot of that, you know, in the city of Inglewood and surrounding area in that area will benefit you know, from the business that's being bought by the NFL and other people so fine. It looks beautiful. I mean, you know, the just the property value in that whole area is gone through the roof, and I'm looking at a house like three bedrooms, three baths, 2000 square feet. Going for $975,000. I mean, that's what you get in Tarzana. Now. I mean, it's it's surpassing, you know, some of them the more desirable cities in San Fernando Valley. Well, you know, um, so evil would have something. Tarzana doesn't have your 4.5 mile from the beach. They're here in the west side of evil, little against, you know, they always forget how close that is to the beach. Yeah, Now that that's just think about the meal. Maybe maybe the city of Los Angeles needs to take some notes here. Um, let's look at the business climate. Let's look at making it safe. Let's look at being business, you know, into the community that's going to supplement It's coming into so far, and now you've got a situation where you could really make some games really brings a business in and then increases both commercial and residential property values. That's a winning formula, and I And I think you're onto something there. You know when we got when the city of Los Angeles was, you know, when they announced that the Rams and the Chargers we're gonna move to Los Angeles Need Los Angeles got neither one of the team's angle would look at both of them. And now I'm about 99% sure that this deal is going to go through and the Char and the Clippers are going to move the Englewood as well so that the Los Angeles lost the Clippers. Lost the Rams and the Chargers and all of that revenue will be going to Inglewood instead of the city of L. A. And I'm sorry, Can we repeat and go back to what? The residential property increased value. It wasn't value there that you were mentioning a few minutes ago. It's unbelievable. 100,000 to 1.3 Million. Hey, you know, look, I think Inglewood is great. When the when the Kings used to play at the form and the Lakers played at the form, I thought that was, you know, it was a really cool place to go into hanging watch. What is the England Police Department, like they have their own right. They have their own. They've been on the hiring binge is a matter of fact they were contracting to put their officers through our academy because they were growing so fast. Really? They are also, Yeah, They're also hiring traffic officers, you know, and again, you know, Let's talk about how business works here, Tim. Um you leave with safety. You know, if you make this city safe, you're going to be able to bring all those other pieces in and James, but as a very smart person, former police chief of a couple of cities Uh, Mayor, um, a stewed businessman, Hey, knows what he has to do that to be successful in that city, and you're going to do what it takes. But he's gonna leave with safety because he knows that that's the key to making business success. Yeah, I think you're right. We could definitely learn from that's the way to go you know is to bring is to be very been business friendly and attract, you know, NFL teams and NBA teams. That's the way to go. Uh, Alan, a commander I really enjoy when you come on, and we'll have to have you on more often. I'm I apologize that my Internet went out. But maybe if I paid the bill, they would've kept it on. Are. Maybe if you didn't get on gas kind of kept it on. Track. I lay off that dude, I really appreciate you coming on to be safe out there have Ah, Merry Christmas. We'll talk after the first year. Okay, we'll talk to say Hey, can I give a quick shout out? Oh, yeah. For the toys, she let's come back and talk and do that you can you stay with us? That movie. Okay, I'm gonna come back and talk about the toys. I forgot to do that. That's a very important thing that the cops were doing when they do it every day. We're alive on K.
