"Of that announcement. I want to get to the markets in Asia now with David ingles. He joins us from our Hong Kong studio for an update. David? Yeah. I'll make this very simple because it's really there's an earnings element to it, but underlying tone and current is certainly just a backdrop of what the global economy looks like ahead. We're coming up low as in Asia, we're looking at yields pushing lower in the region and China is a very good example. China does not usually move this much, by the way. And this consistently, that's down for an 8th day now and we're back a lot 2.8. We talked about, of course, what's been happening in Singapore on them introducing higher property taxes. So that's a way on that specific sector. But to my point earlier on, the very busy earnings day literally, hundreds yesterday, hundreds more today, just to give you a sense and flavor what's come out today, Samsung was out early today. This was out yes, it is some earnings reaction here. But then again, you take a day too, for example, and you basically see the opposite of the moves we're seeing, which I guess in some ways tells you that it's really just macro backdrop that's dominating proceedings right now. That said, I'll leave you with this. I know it's very busy. Earnings wise, some names to look out for on MSCI China and these next few hours or so. So we'll get a better sense really of corporate guidance that sort of thing when it comes to this revisions have been falling as well and MSCI China has been down a 7th day Yusuf in the last 8. And speaking of crude, by the way, just to mention that crude prices in China are playing catch up to what we're seeing. In the west, for example, we're down 4% on the contract there. In Shanghai, Yusuf. David, thank you very much for that feeds actually straight into our next segment. Thank you for that. That said, David ingles with the updates from Hong Kong. I want to flesh out the U.S. crude store because it's down to now another 5% or around 5% over the last three sessions as concerns about slowing demand continue to hang over the market. WTI has now given up all of the gains put on after OPEC plus blindsided markets with that surprise pledge to cut out put at the start of this month. For more in our joined by our energy team leader Paul Wallace, it's remarkable how quickly we're back at the very moment where a good chunk of observers criticized OPEC plus for a move that they thought was going to send oil prices higher. Exactly. I mean, when oil when OPEC plus made these cuts at the beginning or announced these cuts at the beginning of the month, we were just below $80 a barrel for Brent. We went up to about 87 in a few days after that and we're back below 80 again. So I think on the one hand, you could say yes, OPEC plus looks like it got this right. It said this was a preemptive move in case in case demon weakened. So you could say, well, that clearly has been the case. However, it's also a problem for OPEC plus. This was not the result they wanted. They didn't want to announce more than a million barrels a day of cuts only to see oil end up back. Back in the same place after less than a month. As you've followed OPEC plus over the last few years, would you say that the institution has become more nimble to react to the global macro story? I mean, could we see more additions more subtractions, months on months of just more of a quarterly thing now? I think it's always possible we could see that. Yes, I do think it's become more nimble since the since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. And throughout most of last year, it was actually doing monthly meetings. It's not doing that anymore. And it's next formal meeting is not until June. However, the Saudis and others have said they can make decisions to cut or raise output in between meetings and the decision at the beginning of this month to cut output was an example of that. So it's not out of the question. We're not hearing anything yet, but it's not out of the question that OPEC plus or some members could decide to lower production even further. Paul, good to see you, buddy. Thank you for making it to the studio that's Paul Wallace from the Bloomberg news team on the energy story. I want to stay with that seam actually almost one in 5 cars sold worldwide this year. What to be an electric vehicle. That's according to a new report from the international energy agency. The executive director of Fatah B roll spoke to Bloomberg about the study and the implications for oil markets. 2019, only four years ago, two person of all the cars sold in the world was electric car. So 2% in 2019. And this year, but 20%, every 5th car would be an electric car sold in the world. And more impressive, I believe, 2030, which is tomorrow. In U.S., China, Europe, three largest car markets in the world, 60% of all the cars sold will be an electric car, 60%, three largest car markets. What implications does this have for OPEC for U.S. energy producers for shale producers? I mean, everyone you included has been calling on energy oil producers to boost supply, do they really need it if we're going to be all buying electric vehicles? So oil is not only consumed

And China's Mexico group has signed an agreement with Pfizer to import and distribute paxil on the mainland. It isn't widely known how quickly packs lived will be widely available. And The White House has announced it will reopen a program allowing people in the U.S. to order batches of home COVID tests at no cost as officials prepare for an increase in cases through the winter in the U.S.. China has removed 6 counselor officials from the UK, it involves a spat between the UK and China after an attack on a Hong Kong man staging a peaceful protest outside the Chinese consulate in Manchester. UK foreign minister James cleverly says they ask China to have the officials testify what they saw to police. I a so so move forward to i met a guy and a guy was a cool guy and i don't really like to talk about my private life with my girlfriends. I'm like talk about it with anybody that matter but yes it is good.

But of course, this brings up the conversation of Should we be playing the national anthem before? Supporting event. And I just I have no problem. With the national anthem Every time it plays me and my kids stand up. Put hands over hearts. I am not Anti national anthem, but I can understand the conversation or the points against it or why we shouldn't do it. It is a little bit dated. Is a little bit of a dated tradition. There's something's behind it that you kind of read and you're like wall is that Doesn't make sense to do it now. And, of course, with all the controversy that has come in years past about what players air doing during national anthems, isn't it? Doesn't it make sense to just Not do it and the best argument that I've seen When it comes to this. Is. Look, it's America versus America. When the Mavericks are playing The Denver Nuggets. It is a game taking place in America between two American teams. We need the anthem. I think that the national anthem Is Great in the Olympics, right? "You know it's also been rough though this year which that's counterstrike I. Feel like the year twenty twenty, really the entire calendar year has been a rough go for our baby boy counterstrike I feel like we have had very little positive stories to talk about with counterstrike so I figured. Normally. We do this. You know two or three times a year the state of CIS where we kind of let everyone know, hey, this is what's been going on. This is an update for everything I didn't feel like that was really the proper way. Do I feel like we need to do a wellness check? Right now like CS needs to go see a doctor and get a checkup because it's been rough. Yeah I mean it obviously Kovic been rough on everybody but see s one of the most appealing factors is the the rivalries between. Countries and you Brazil like that's Kind of create a story line within itself like it's it's just so big. It's not like League of legends where the leagues are really a hundred percent split up and then they only meet each other at these really big events throughout the year for counterstrike they're consistent rivalries. You can have a you rivalries on the rag like it happen every event for the most part in. So from that standpoint, it's affected it more than other games, but then you just have the consistent storyline at their storyline at the storyline that will get into that really just hurt like emotionally feeling it you. Know like I'm feeling emotional about this game because there's so much going on in, you want counterstrike to remain at the top. If you've been a fan for counterstrike as long as we have in, you see little in the armor right that we hadn't really seen before there really hasn't been much competition not only within the genre, but in east sports as a whole, very few games can stand up to that bar in in your starting to feel that slip a little bit. The fact that valve has known about it hasn't made a ruling like that. I'm like all right. Well, then apart from an organization responsibility to be like, Hey, you did cheat. It's like I'm torn right like cheating is never okay but at the same time. Cheating you're not trying and it's just like I I'm almost like. Split down the middle backwards again whatever you go. I'm almost torn straight down the mid on how to feel about this I know valve made a statement. Did they mention anything about knowing this? Yeah they did they knowledge that they said you know it's it's unfortunate in frustrating that we did not respond to this bugs sooner. Now again, we think that responding offer at least two years later. The only reason they're responding now is because. Their hands have been forced. There was a but with that statement in it says, but bugs or the reality of software in until their resolved, we need to be able to trust the players coaches I have a huge problem with that because yeah although bugs are. Public health expert: 50 percent effective coronavirus vaccine would be 'better than what we have now'
"We hit five million US cases yesterday for some perspective. The first nineteen case in the United States is believed to have occurred on February six. We hit one million cases on April Twenty, eight, eighty, two days later. It then took just forty three days to hit the two million mark on June tenth. We hit the three million mark on July seven that was twenty seven days later then just sixteen days later we rich four million US cases and July twenty third and again it took us just sixteen days to hit this five million reported case number right here in the United States joining me now is Dr Tom ingles beans, the director of the Center for Security of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Dr Ingles. Be Welcome back to meet the press. WanNa get a little big picture here. You know last week you were you put out a lengthy list of ten recommendations. You guys didn't call it a reset, but sort of like how do we get control of this virus? Now another one of your sort of colleagues in the larger sense Michael Star home is an op Ed. He's basically calling for a reset of some sort New York Times today editorial page calling this. It feels though as public health officials are all calling for some sort of reset. Partial. lockdowns things like this and yet we are not having that conversation at all on the political side of things. Are, are we doomed to sort of live with this virus now if we're not GONNA at all look at your recommendations I DON'T THINK WE'RE DOOMED To this fate I? Think we we know what to do. Other countries have done it. I think the purpose of these resetting reports these for a kind of a reestablishment of the basics. Is that we know that another country's universal masking fiscal, distancing, avoiding large gatherings. Those kinds of things have worked. If we look at countries like Italy and Spain and France, they have a total of about seven or eight deaths today and we have thousand, but it's not magic what they did. We know what they did. So I think if we act together in national unison, we can get there and that's what the purpose of these many of these reports are I want to bring up the issue of masks there've been some people that said if we had ninety five percent compliance unmask wearing, we could get rid of we could sort of get this fires under control. Is that unrealistic and we do need to do more than just mandating masks Do. Not, alone. Not by themselves or alone the solution, but they are a critical part of it. We know that physical distancing makes a big difference. We know that large gatherings are places where super spreading events occur and people have the opportunity or the virus has the opportunity to get around quickly and for. Many people at once. So we have to do a number of things together in terms of you know simple things like diagnostic testing results coming back much more quickly. It's it's unacceptable for the country to have to have testing comeback a week or even two weeks later it's not useful at that point there's no point even doing the test. So a number of that we have to do, but they're not they're not complicated they may be hard, but we have to do them kind of in unison. And all of those, they're not hard except when you when the word politics gets involved, it makes everything a little bit harder and I wanNa keep you out of the political space here. Let me ask you a question about that scenes and to sort of set expectations doctor Fauci implied that the first vaccine that we get, he hopes it's seventy five percent effective. The FDA has said they will approve any vaccine that's at least fifty percent effective. Can you explain to the public what that means what it means and what it doesn't mean and what our expectations should be for the first vaccine Well, we know that many of the vaccines that we use are not perfect. They don't prevent every case of disease but if they prevent a substantial portion of disease than that can help us get to a point where most of us are protected, the disease can spread quickly between people anymore a concept that is called her immunity. Herd immunity doesn't mean we will won't disease anymore. It means it's not gonNA efficiently as efficiently spread in an epidemic form. and. Is there a percentage figure in your mind that you think will sort of give us a huge? Huge step in the right direction is at a vaccine that is at seventy five percent or does fifty percent do you fear that could be a false sense of hope. I think we would take fifty percent because it's fifty percent is a lot better than what we have. Now we've we've no tools to no no vaccine tools or medicine tools that we can use to slow this down. So fifty percent would be would be far better than what we have. Now of course I think we all want something that is seventy, five, eighty, five. Ninety percent effective. But we'll have to see what we get and I think for the amount of time has passed since the beginning of this pandemic to have a vaccine that's even fifty percent effective in in the coming months or the beginning of twenty twenty, one would be phenomenal. But again, we hope it's better but fifty percent would be better than what we have now. "The House my wife and I bought last. Fall is an unusual cape in that it has a fairly deep overhangs on the front and back the shake citing the front and back under the overhangs is in very good shape but the shake siding on the gable ends where overhangs is in terrible condition and needs to be replaced. My wife and I would like overhangs on the gable ends before replacing the siding to give the new siding the same protection as the front and back so our question is twofold. You know I'm still struggling with this. Because the functionality of the overhangs is undeniable in fact just before he said this the day before I had sent a message to Matt saying I think over the solution to everything. We need big fat overhangs. It's true. Yeah it's not in keeping with the Cape style but at the same time. He's got pretty significant overhangs on the rest of his house. I don't know I'm struggling. I would be really tempted to take this on yourself and because frankly for the amount of money you have. I don't think you're GonNa get all this work done right and you know as far as getting a contractor to put installation on your house. It's not very big but people tend to charge a lot of money for that and I don't know exactly why it's not all that complicated but it's just something people don't do a lot of and finding a contractor. Who's willing to do that kind of work we've talked about is is challenging. Right Rahm. Yeah I mean it's you know it's becoming more and more common. People are becoming more educated about it but as I would still think a majority of people are of the the average local contractor man. I can't really speak for the country but it certainly is in no every house ever especially insulation retrofits as a couple of things one. It's hard to justify the the investment especially on a complicated exterior where you have a lot of strange Seems in and flashing details. This house is not that though. This is a very simple form- at you know. It lends itself well to well with all of this with overhangs and the dorms and stuff. It could get pretty complicated. But but the point is it's it's it's hard to justify the amount of work Especially if you're on a tight budget to do all that stuff I mean I. I'm the first person to say that that adding overhangs I would never build a house without a reasonable overhang and As much as I like modern aesthetics I think the the benefit of protecting the siding is worth it but in a situation where you're you're siding is in reasonably good shape focus more on things like I noticed that his siding roofing on doors is too close to the shingles and they they recommend to inch gaps there which a lot of people don't like look of but if you want the shingles to last you gotta keep them up off of the you're talking to side while shingles if you want deciding to last. You have to keep it up off the roof because it's waking up water yes and an. You should definitely prime the ends of those and they all need to be cut right because they have to be caught on an angle. So when you're done cutting gotta make sure those are primed and as rob suggests if you keep it up two inches that's best keeping it up. Any amount is better than none. Yes so I think you know I deal with this so much with my old houses that you gotta have to kind of pick your battles sometimes because there's an ideal scenario if money was no object but there's also reasonable compromises to get a comfortable house that you can afford to live in. I would like to add that. Adam was worried about doing this work. Because it's up high on you know let I was very very fearful of heights when I started out as a carpenter and the secret for me is having good staging having good equipment to work off can trust things you know. And that's the big question right when you are that company or where when you are that entrepreneur that individual that people think when they have a need. Guess what that means. So you don't have to pay facebook or Google. Any money to try to generate leads exposure. People start talking about you to other people so when someone's inside a facebook facebook group in this a ham looking for somebody to help this they say oh you gotta go to person. Why even if that they've never worked with person Y and your person why that's awesome marketing marketing for you? So what ends up happening as all these opportunities start falling in your lap. You're asked to speak on stages you're asked to be on podcasts. Your Business model grows is and you can take it to the next level. That is the promise that comes from being really well. No and this is something that you've actually done on multiple levels meeting you. Have you know a conference conference social media marketing world where you bring an industry experts. You highlight them on stages you also highlight them on your multiple shows within youtube and just the the overall social media examiner show that you live on a weekly basis so let me kind of talk about some specific examples that you've seen where people have come in. They've become known I'm known for what they're doing. As a result as you mentioned the become more successful as a result. Oh my gosh. Every person you can think of that's probably on the stage David. Social Media Marketing. World has done this right. You think about somebody like Jay Bearer Mari Smith right so Mari Smith is somebody who is out there all the time talking about what's new in the world facebook as a result. She's the one people think of when they look at when they're looking for our facebook expert. She's the one that Businesses partner with and want to hire Jay Baer. He keeps writing books and he keeps doing podcasts and he keeps getting Keno Gigs and he keeps getting opportunities to moderate. You know big stages and stuff like that and he gets opportunities to build this consulting pipeline without having to build. You know without having to pay anybody to do that. Those are just is two examples that come off the top of my mind. But you're another example. John I mean. Look when you've been able to achieve over the seven years since you started entrepreneur on fire because of what you did right I mean you are a relatively unknown. You're the guy that came out of the military right and Had A prior career that not a lot of people knew about and you just burst onto the scene and as a result of you building those relationships in developing that content even though most of your content was focusing on. What's in the minds of other people? A lot of that rubbed off on you John. And as a result you're able to launch all sorts of products and services that accelerated your growth. And now you're living the dream and I would not say relatively unknown I would say completely unknown I mean I had no footprint no fingerprint. Not even a finger nail in any kind the online entrepreneurial Social Media Marketing Space Zero Zip Zilch. So that's just a perfect example fire nation of how when you're able to establish a name in a specific niche than as micro sandwich. I love you know you start getting these organic lease people start talking about you become your evangelist. You're not having to pay hand Over fist for the instagram for the FACEBOOK ACA CETERA. You should go check it out and I have so many people because we have an intake former paradise where I'd say. Hey how did you. First Harry about paradise you know. Of course all the options are ads and my journal and this and that but they say a friend told me about your free course or a friend told me to just google you and like that is such a massive way that I'm getting more leads and I'm getting more audience. And I'm getting being more revenue through courses through enroll lease unlike podcasts paradise etc so fire nation this why while michaels talking about is so super key he but where would somebody even startling if they want to become well known and they're just like how even start in the space right now. That seems so loud so so crowded. What would you tell them? First thing I would tell everyone no matter how crowded spaces there's room for you for example. Let's take the food industry. Definitely the biggest industry the world because everyone and there is a youtube channel called cooking with dog and it's literally an Asian woman with a dog and she's got one point four nine million alien subscribers and it's just her cooking with her dog and that's her unique ingle. There's an there's a podcast. There's a blog called love and lemons. And all they do is talk about food food with limits. There's a podcast focused on tastes of the past. And all they do they talk about old fashioned traditional kinds of food food so those are just a few examples to show you that no matter what you can probably find a unique angle no matter how crowded the niches because there's the biggest niche in the world is food on undoubtedly okay so beyond that. Let's get to how we do it first of all you gotta ask yourself. What is your why I think this is is perhaps one of the most important questions to ask before you get started? Why do you want to be well now? Do you want to be well known because you WANNA be famous. Because I'm here to tell you that fame does not pay the bills. Can you confirm that. Confirm you've got to have a better y than that you know. You've got to have some sort of a bigger reason. Why for me? The reason why I wanted to be well known as I wanted to make a difference in the world. I knew that if I could give away the content that others were worse basically keeping pent up inside of them and charging people for as consultants. If I could give it away in my blog in my podcast an-and and our youtube channel. I know that draw an audience to us and I knew I would just need a tiny little fragment of that huge audience to be very successful and I knew that every person that would share that content would be basically increasing the footprint of the business and I knew that ninety nine percent of the world that I touch will never become a customer customer and I was completely okay with that because I had a bigger purpose. So figure out what your wise and it's okay to have a why that I'm GonNa make money It's okay that I want to buy that Dream House. Any of those kind of things. Just have a y but fame alone isn't good enough secondly once you know what your why is. I really think it's important to do a competitive analysis. Now John. I would love to hear your thoughts when you started your podcast. was there any kind of research that went into this. There was a bunch of research that went into it because I was a podcast listener and my the biggest question that I had was. Okay what do I love about the shows that I listen to you but even more importantly what do I feel like is missing with the actual show that I'm listening to on a consistent basis right so start looking at people that quote unquote might be competitors. But don't think of them as like the Evil Empire Empire that you're out to destroy instead look at them as like marketplace justification right. There's proof that there is somebody out here talking about this writing about this creating videos about this and I want to know what is it about them that I like and what is it about them. That I don't like how could I learn from them. And and then maybe you could start researching people in other spaces that are not competition and come up with someone who you really loved. The work that they're doing for me was a guy named Andrew Goodman who was really big in Seo Space and they still might be to this day. I just loved everything about his business model and I said I want to take that and I want to do that in the social for media marketing space so after you research competition then you try to figure out what your unique point of differentiation as John. Unique point of differentiation differentiation is. Tommy John. podcasts there you go yeah everyone else was doing it weekly or maybe twice a week and John decided to do it every single day because he knew there was an audience that was in their car working in real estate or commuting or whatever that was in that car or on that train every single day and he wanted to be in front of them because has he knew that he did not need a huge audience to be in front of if he was in front of them. Every day. I would feel now in my case. My unique differentiation is that I ask questions that others are thinking again on my podcast. So I won't let my guest go deep down the trail without like if they'll say something like an acronym that my audience doesn't know I'm going to say well hold on a second and I stopped. Stop them in the tracks and my audience tells me Oh my gosh you asked exact questions that were on my mind. So that's my unique thing. Is I try to put myself in the position of my listener and try. Yeah to make sure that I that they get something by listening to me. That's just one of my unique different traders. What's your unique differentiator? Maybe you're funny. Maybe your analytical maybe you have a unique view on the your industry that nobody else has maybe you come from a different world like maybe you're an attorney who's become a chef and maybe you can bring some parallels between the world of law and the cooking. Maybe there's laws of food that we haven't even even thought about so try to figure out what your unique differentiation is. And then the last thing is to start testing your message and this is really important. John I think in the beginning I mean when you create content at the core of everything we're talking about today is to be known requires the creation of something you need to either talk on a stage age or talk on a podcast create video or you need to right so when you create that message in the beginning you have to think of. Everything is a great experiment and just like a cookie and experiment. It might not be well received the very first time so start testing your message by creating the message and then analyzing analyzing the message which we're GONNA get into in a little bit here to try to ascertain what works and what does not because my guess is John in the beginning you. We're doing things differently than you're doing now. Am I right big time. What's changed? I mean a lot of things have changed so I I was just like trying to test my message by going out there and really having a structured interview interview and really be focused on. Hey I don't have skills as a podcast is an interviewer's a host. I don't know how to guide. I know how to dig deeper so I was just trying to stay to a very structure message and I did that for five. And a half years. That was two thousand episodes daily with essentially the same six questions. But I've continued to test my message a year and a half ago. I made a big break like I said. Hey I want to switch to an audio masterclass more than a podcast. I'm GONNA be having the top experts. And their specific niche industry. Come on and give a masterclass. It's like give this actual course on specific topics so I can go real deep and just talk in a much more fluid and just really intense manner and so that's just me kind kind of continuing to test getting feedback from audience can continue to try to say okay now that my strengths have grown in these areas. Eating More Whole Foods This Year
"Going to keep it short little inbetween style episode this time and this time we're direct I answering a problem that Your wife Katie has right now is is resolution of this year for twenty twenty was to eat more eat more whole foods. Try to be more conscious about making sure that we're eating processed food and that's for her and for me and for her daughter so that's that's kind of the resolution and It sparked this kind of conversation between us or between Gideon I about where read we struggle the most like what. Where do we end up? Introducing processed foods most most frequently and then and then from there. You can kind of look at like won't be easy substitutes or easy ways to kind of make it more whole food. Yeah this is an interesting topic for this time and probably a relevant pertinent one. Because I was thinking about this topic and I I was just thinking about. Ah I duNno five seven years ago when I was kind of new at being Vegan but general. You're not I was thinking about that time and the posts that we had written back then about eating whole food news and it was kind of a different thing like when I was talking about eating whole foods that really meant not eating oil and not buying potato chips and stuff like that at the store button. Now there's have fewer wholefoods these days than I did then because I think it's so much easier to it's more tempting to not eat holes because now the Vegan decongestions are good now rarest before the Veggie Burgers from the store weren't nearly as appetizing as the ones you can make it home Same with the Vegan hotdogs and the and the you know vegan cheese just wasn't good before and now it actually is now. It's really good and you crave it and you want only that so it's different now so I think a lot of it is kind of a habit. It's not like it's we need new ways to make crazy recipes. That don't have the whole. We already have those from. They don't have the junk food we have them and they're from five or seven years ago. It just sort of more of a habit thing these days but We'll see as you get into situations where where you guys tend not to eat foods. We'll see if that is true. Yeah I think I think that that is kind of that is the problem. Right is like when we do just a regular grocery shop and we're kind of thinking about our staple meals which would be like doc stir fry and Pasta and maybe Burrito or something you know a a rice and beans both when we started thinking about those like there. Aren't there typically pretty clean typically pretty whole food and if we just go to ingles regular shop and that's no problem but but then you do things like The other day we went to trader Joe's and we we hardly ever go trader Joe's and they have all these different like begin like Cheese dip and yeah all different vegan cream cheeses. I guess ingles us to like your or or you go to whole foods and there's just a ton of new things and every time you see something like that it's hard not to buy right because you're excited about it and we know it's GonNa taste good and and so the ended up kind kind of buying it and we. We've found that we just every time we get out of our our routine which is every other week or every three weeks or something. You know. We'll do a shop at someplace new and every time we get out of that then we ended up just buying all kinds of junk food being food. Yeah right Degree that's used to be a novelty or you go to Veg fest or something you get to try vegan cheese and of course you because it's the first one such thing has been available available and you do it and it's delicious but then you go home and there's no more of it so you just stop eating it. It's so different now. I mean because there are multiple brands of vegan cheeses and the dip. So you just mentioned engined trader. Joe's of course there's the there's the frozen begin options Fil offals Veggie burgers and some of that isn't as as long as you okay with oil. which and that's what we're talking about or not? Some of that can be pretty close to whole foods still but but yeah I mean just just so many more options out. Yeah so I mean it's interesting like like more options as a problem right because it seems like it would just be better and we just keep choosing the healthy Atkins if that's what we want but it kind of goes back to like. I used a lot. That being Vegan was inconvenient and that was why it was so healthy because it just you couldn't do not have the option to eat really unhealthy so you had to kind of make your own things at home. Home and by default was healthy. And that's that's really not true anymore. Now you have to choose it to be that way. Yeah yeah that's absolutely true so I think we should start with oil oil. We don't have to go into big oil discussion but I think we should. We should start with it because that's an obvious one. Oil is processed food. And I know that you've gone through sense of being oil free. We have not although we have tried many times to reduce our oil consumption. What what do you think about oil as a process I have? I've researched quite a bit just for my own reason. My family history has lots lots of heart disease in my family. History and I've been really concerned about or my parents have always asked me about it. And they've gone back and forth. I'm at the point where I think. Generally heated oils especially multiple times heated it oils like with most deep fried foods. You buy in restaurants in the are you. That's bad you don't want that stuff olive oil. Especially when it's not heeded I think is pretty okay. I don't think you need tons of it. But you know there are some on jeopardy types out there who say you should aim to get. At least you know a tablespoon a day or something like that so there are there are people who do research and it is a good thing for longevity there may be certain conditions that make it not that way. I'm kind of. It's also that we've kind of relax a little bit like I. Just I use the oil free for maybe a year or so solid and it was fine. Didn't lose too much weight. Didn't feel sickly. It was all fine. I just didn't quite enjoy cooking the way I used. Even the taste of the food was fine now just the. I don't know being able to cook their recipes. You can't do without oil and I like going through phases where I really get into cooking and try new things so I don't know for me. It's easier to have it in in small amounts. I really don't ever eat any oil. That's not olive oil unless it's out at a restaurant or something I don't know I'm pretty happy with just just being mindful about it. I don't know the answer whether it's good or bad and I don't know if there is an answer I think like when I when you first talked about going free I was kind. Have I remember thinking like I will. How the heck does he cook like Saute stuff which you can do water? We do it but you know like what after your tips on that I mean yeah. That's that's the big one is add water instead of oil and I generally try to keep the amount of water to a minimum minimum. Sometimes you don't need it at all. Always keep it to a minimum is because once you add the water you Kinda start boiling or steaming your foods in on a small scale And that typically makes foods that aren't as interesting as some that. Are you know have more of a seared crispy outside to them so I just limit the water but but use it as needed if it was going to burning you. Put a little splash. Water in there Also airfare is wonderful for that I mean he really does a great job it comes with its own a health questionable health issues where times I've heard you hear talk negatively about. Don't think it's a miracle I think it makes really good food and really quickly and it's great you can. You can really just throw vegetables in there and they will come out more appetizing when you put them in but yeah I mean there are with heating foods at that high. I have a temperature where it's super convection to. They're constantly at that high of a temp it. Just it has it. has its own issues. So who knows but if you're just trying trying to get off of oil then you know maybe you're okay with that for now

You're not only putting your life in danger, but what about this first responders? Right. You know, even if it's just a matter of, okay, if something goes wrong and the members of the family art together, create a plan in a location where you're going to all congregate in SEM as possible, especially if you live in certain areas where you know floods hurricanes in tornado alley, then sure you wouldn't have even more you and have a bag of things. Where do you go? You want to have something, you know, credit cards and items in ziplock bag that, yes, some cash in the bag, clothing. Some parasol nonperishable foods, you know, simple things. It doesn't have to be a, you know, a huge duffle bag livings or something that can get you and your family through for two days. But it's so funny because we've had the set of experts on here before. We have, but you sit back and say, do you have a couple of cases of water, right at home, right. Just in case, right. I mean, not the water that you you. I worked with a youth group and we were discussing cyber movie. And I and I've gone through story before where I had. I told everyone to pull out their cell phones and most of the kids that were there and they range from, I would say about eight to eighteen eighteen nineteen. Okay. And most of most of the kids pull that cell phones, I don't know if they will all working or not, or I don't know, but they actually had a cell phone in their hand, and I said to them, have you ever said anything mean online to any of your friends? And they said, I said, I said, you know, no one's in trouble regime because it was. It was a session. I did just with the youth and most of them I would say two thirds of racer saying, hey, I said something, but it was funny, and I said, you know, hey, it's funny to you and people that's like the first step. So I think it's key in what you're doing is you're educating us and what does. Say what not to say. I mean, I'm most most of the times when someone says something disparaging, then yes, they understand that that's considered, you know cyberbullying. But if they think if they're being funny and or if you've been at a situation where someone will say something and then you start to pile on. You know, you're adding to that badges. We talked before about, you know, knows believe it. Zero tolerance bullying program. I will tell you this much. I like the fact that you starting to lay the groundwork and this is something where I will tell you take your time with it. Don't be discouraged, keep pressing through. You will get, you will get speaking engagements. And it doesn't have to be a warmer, five hundred people, right? Ten people, right. And as long as you reach out Ingles I think the songs you can connect with at least one or two people, the us nature Mark, you made your Mark and you take it from there and you continue to speak out about it.
