"With that. Oh, man, I love the guy we talked about Who was that Bryan Cranston on Friday from breaking bad he had Verona. Turns out He's got Deanna bodies now, and he's donating his plans Plasma to help people out. Same thing with Tom Hanks and his wife, one of the To think they were like the big high profile. They were the first the high profile celebrities to get the road and they were down in Australia. Had to stay down there for a couple of weeks ended up coming back home and donating plasma looking at the numbers that came in today for Indiana from the state Department of Health again broken record. You guys already know this by now, but The numbers you get on Monday. You're basing this off The weekend numbers in the weekend numbers are always trash. Long Story short. These numbers are going to change as the week goes on, probably Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday. That's going to give you a better feel of what's really happening around the state. But that being said the infection rate the cumulus infection rate did go down. It was 8.9% last week. That's an 8.8% now. Ah 582 new positive cases reported yesterday. 6470 new test as a low amount of tests. That's the lowest in a few days. So yesterday yesterday was the lowest one day positive positivity rate in four weeks with Mohr than 12,000 tests being posted on that Corona virus dashboard in Indy. But today the tests are half that. So yes, you're gonna have a AH large one day positivity rate, half the test reformed and 582 of those came back positive. We'll get a better feel Some more numbers tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday. It's a big night. Let me ask you this and these Corona virus times where people are losing their jobs, or maybe they're furloughed and they're having to take unpaid time off. Do you think the state of Indiana could use an extra $61 million a month? Are you kidding me? Yeah, let's do it because that's what Illinois got in. Recreational marijuana sales in July. In July alone, the state of Illinois brought in $61 million recreational marijuana sales. All those students at Indiana state driving across the border to Danville, coming back I'm joking, but I'm serious at the same time. Like if you're a politician over at the Indiana statehouse, just around the corner from us over there on Washington Street. Why wouldn't you at least have this conversation? $61 million. Think about what the state of Indiana could do with just a portion of that, right? So if you're a lawmaker, and you're tired of hearing the teachers, unions, bitch and cry and complain and mon, you could give them a big chunk of that and say Here is this enough for you to go to work? Is this enough for you to shut the hell up Now? How about this? Here's 10 $15 million for your salaries. We're not even getting the superintendent's involved. We're gonna hook you up here. I'm telling you, I'm giving you the weed money for About locally forget about statewide. This isjust should be another part of Trump's October surprise free vaccines for everybody and roll back federal marijuana laws. Boom Now that Amy there's in October supposed that's a recipe for re election. They're so much could be done. Especially right now, when cos they're slow to open bars, restaurants, teachers, frontline workers. We've already got legal sports betting going on, so don't tell me it's about a virtue conversation, the moral conversation, right? It can't be about moral stuff. We've expanded our alcohol. We've gone all in on sports betting. Why not make weed recreational? And before you tweet at us, saying it's a gateway drug rabble rabble Listen, Gambling's the same way. Right. Gambling's very addictive But let adults of make their own decisions. Right. Let adults be adults let the responsible people handle this because 61 million bucks is a lot of cash to the Hammer and Nigel Show. We're coming right back. "It is eight fifty one k l I f we told you it was it last week. I think it was within the last week or two or the week before we told you about an Indiana school superintendent who. Was arrested after using her insurance to get medical treatment and medicine for six student. Yeah, she she did something wrong. I'm sure she knew it at the time. Yeah. Basically, she used her son's insurance to say this kid was her son to cover the Bill for the doctor's visit and the anti-biotics right which was two hundred and thirty three dollars. Now, I still have not an we've had this story. Couple times. We're doing the update here, but still can't figure out why this boy fifteen year old boy needed the superintendent to step in and take care of him. When he has parents, apparently is parents wouldn't take him to be treated for strep throat, and she was concerned about him. So she took him, right? And she was charged with insurance fraud and identity deception. She apologized the school board backed her right said, well, you know, she made a mistake. But she did it for a good reason. And that's that in itself is not is not doesn't it depending on the circumstances. It doesn't necessarily get you a pass. But I think in this case it should and Casey smitherman said, yeah, I did it she's placed into a diversion program. Meaning she doesn't have to plead guilty and she won't have a record. If there are no further charges against her. She's not arrested again over the next year. But she resigned she did resign because she said it was just fueling way too much negative attention. And she decided that she was very embarrassed. And she resigned, she should have been embarrassed. She learned from it. This is the thing we're not allowed to learn from our mistakes anymore. She says society, we gotta get away with anything. You can't have done something thirty years ago. And the and and explain that was me then and that was a different that was a different world. Then I'm not trying to make excuses. I'm trying to say since then I've become a better person, I know better than that. But that kind of stuff doesn't fly anymore. Why didn't she just pay the for the two hundred and thirty three dollars, and then she wouldn't have been charged with insurance fraud. She still could've been charged with identity deception if she said that the sun the kid was hers. But she also could've gone into said, look this gets parents won't get him the help he needs. Brought him to the doctor would guess that. The parents probably have grounds for some sort of lawsuit. I think it was the parents who complained. Yeah. Complaint. You would be thankful is a parent that someone actually took an interesting your kid because they're embarrassed ashamed. And and if not those things then they just feel like, hey. It's my kid. He's okay. It doesn't need medical attention. It's none of your business. And I'm not sure that I disagree. Maybe they follow a religion where they don't that's possible to have medical intervention. I mean, there are religions that don't believe. I just I just think that people who you know. Decent people who do good things. And then make a mistake. Need to be given the opportunity to learn from their mistakes and go on she says, I sincerely hope this single lapse in judgment does not tarnish all the good work. I've done for students over the span of my career, and you can't blame her. Now, we have social media. This kind of thing gets caught up and goes viral. You would never have heard of this kind of thing before four social media. But what happened to second chances, right? Oil boy, and you try to look what happened at least in her case, she was guilty. And she admits there are people who are cute things that have never been proven. They've lost their jobs their careers. Their reputations now and now the school districts getting pressure. They're going to the board is going to take a vote whereas going to take a vote on Friday. But now, she's resigned. So I don't have to do that anymore. We're all bunch busybodies hate fifty five. Let's see how busy traffic.

"Antibiotic. Dash use. Well, I stand corrected on something. I said a few minutes ago, I mentioned a schoolteacher who went to visit the home of a student who hadn't been in school. But in fact, it was the school superintendent this happened in Elwood Indiana school superintendent goes to find out why the child hasn't been in school gets their realizes the kid probably has strep throat. So she takes him to the clinic tells the clinic that this is her son. So that he could be covered by her insurance gets him a prescription for amoxicillin while now that school superintendent faces several charges after police say she basically committed fraud because it was in her son. I don't know. What do you think about that? We got a few minutes. So you can weigh in on at eight six six three nine one ten twenty the other story that I want to hear you weigh in on involves commerce secretary will barrages, and he just doesn't understand why these furloughed federal workers are going to food banks. Let's take a listen to what he had to say earlier there reports that there are some federal workers who are going to homeless shelters to get food. I know they are really quite understand why. Because as I mentioned before. The allegations that they would undertake so you're borrowing from the Bank or credit union or in effect federally guarantee. So the thirty days of pay that some people will be out. There's no real reason why they shouldn't be able to get a loan against it. Get alone against it. Now, I understand this is from a man whose estimated worth is seven hundred million dollars. So I'm guessing that he's not going to see the world from the same lens as those furloughed workers, Victor and Wilkins Berg, welcome. Thank you learn how you doing. Well, how are you? I'm fine. Thank you. I think all these stories tied together because it seems that those who make all the rules and all the judgments have health insurance have the money have all the benefits, but those that really need the benefits and can't get them. Then they're charged to the highest degree because obviously the point timely. Didn't have what they need it. Right. Superintendent benefits that she has. I mean. You're technically she was wrong. You know, everybody's being held. So legally that humanity has lost all reasoning in America anymore. Well, I think you're right. And I think that sometimes you have to make the right decisions. Even though there could be wrong consequences. Now, I'm not saying break the law. You know, I'm not saying go out here, and rob a Bank or anything like that. But I do think sometimes you have to make tough decisions. Yeah. Yeah. But, but but it was carrying decision compassion. It used to be on law was broken based off of the motive. And it's like no motive is even taken under consideration here. Indeed. Indeed. You're right. Victor, thanks so much for your call today. We appreciate you. Thank you, Anna in new Brighton. How are you? Well, thank you for asking. Good. So what do you think about this thing? Well, while I certainly think it's admirable that the superintendent did take the time to go to see this child.
