"A lot about him knowing that he is survived countless coaching regime. Changes as there are in the nfl throughout the course of fifteen years. He's one off. He was presiding over that cowboys dynasty over their special teams In the in the nineties on me someone who i think. Arthur smith kind of Coaxed him into coming to atlanta. You know. I don't know exactly if you're retired or not. But he hasn't coached in twenty seventeen and he was on that Titan staff as a special teams coordinator along with arthur smith who was with tennessee in two thousand sixteen in two thousand seventeen. He's he was actually a tendency specialty assistant special teams coordinator from thirteen at twenty sixteen so he and arthur smith probably know each other very well and you know he comes in as a probably like more of a consulting role to help all williams out because marcus williams conversely while his special teams unit has been a good the past two years. He doesn't have much experience Only goes back to twenty sixteen so i absolutely loved the idea of giving him. You know giving him someone. Like steve hoffman. To come in in to help him out of someone who i could. I would say probably like thought of as a legendary special teams coach. It's i. I really like this move. And you know. I think it says a lot about arthur smith and gm terrified know that they had the wherewithal to bring someone in as Excuse me to not leave any stone unturned when it comes to the coaching unit. I know some staffs some coaches will be like right. We brought in the special teams coach. Doesn't matter that he does have much experience You know let's move on with it. But i have Have a lot of hope for the valentine's special teams unit which has just disappointed us your offer year on past few years. Yup this is something that i really enjoyed seeing. Yeah i think you hit on the the amount of experienced there bringing in At least on the defensive and special team side i think is very encouraging obviously the offensive side. There's a little bit younger overall. But i still like lot of the hires there as well. The only thing to point out we've gone through the coaches that have been confirmed at this point We have not heard about running backs coach. Obviously charles london has some experience with that with. Imagine in a pinch. If they don't find somebody that he could slide over in a help running backs as well and they don't have a defensive backs coach yet that we've seen at least confirmed So we'll we'll keep an eye out for any additions to the staff in those two areas. Otherwise i think this staff for the most part is fleshed out. This is who we're going to see taking this team. Into the new era under arthur smith so with that said od non. Why don't you tell our listeners where they can find you what you have going on. I can find me at say which way on twitter and as forward i have going on off season coverage For the falcons Alcoholic is an absolute one-stop shop. For you. know any falcons fan. We have as much content.

"So i mean that tells you just how much he's i he's been through it a. Coaching coaching on the defensive side of the ball. I will never criticize bringing someone in as a defensive or offensive assistant who has not much experience. Yeah is because it's different if it's like say a dirk koetter You bring him in as the offense coordinator and you know. He's not very good. He's experienced but he's if he has nobody above him which he did not offense he can be a detriment to the offense whereas you know someone like a friend bush. He's going to answer to dean pees who has even more experience. He's done a good job throughout his career had if he hadn't then he wouldn't have remained. You know in a position coach for as long as he has no. I'm very happy he was a four is a former defensive coordinator to with the with the texans coaching. The linebackers now end gonna have some real good linebackers to work with next year and moving forward and i'm excited to see what he can do with dion jones in with mike walker. No possibly even if we go for a guy like michael parsons in the draft is held. The linebackers are going to be leading this team possibly moving forward at least next year. And you know i can see what a what coach butch does does with them. Yeah he is. Fifty eight years old from athens georgia. So he's returning home. Went to athens clarke central high school. He is a former linebacker himself. So i think he is going to be coaching a position. He is intimately familiar with as you mentioned a non just extensive coaching experience. Going back to nineteen ninety-three Some more than two decades worth In the nfl. Which is again. I think you nailed it. I think when we're talking about you know this supporting staff the these assistance underneath. Ps i love the fact that these two guys are coming in Defensive line in linebackers coach. They're both coming in with just a ton of experience and a ton of experience at the positions that are being asked to to take lead up. So as you mentioned i think Especially with what we've seen under dean pees with what he does with the inside linebacker. I think we could see. Maybe another leap in performance hopefully For dion jones michael walker. lucon kuhn so really really interested to see how this experienced staff can transform the balcony. Defense right last name on the list. I think this is the name. I think people are gonna pay attention to for better for worse. Is a defensive assistant matt. Ps yes he is. The son of the defensive coordinator dean pees in twenty twenty. He was the finley high school head coach. You heard me correctly. He was in high school. He has high school head coach. Two thousand eighteen through two thousand nineteen he was the titans defensive quality control assistant and from two thousand sixteen through two thousand seventeen. He was the green mountain high school. Head coach. not a. This is the one position i think. Now we're we're we're hitting a clearly Not nearly as much experience from this defensive assistant that said he's not being put over A specific position group. I do wonder if this bit of nepotism was what convinced dean pees to come out of retirement and to come to atlanta so odd on all of that said whether your thoughts on matty's yeah absolutely was going to say this was probably one of those private conversations off the record where you know maybe arthur smith was like you know we have a steep assistant position open. If you come out of retirement you can bring your son with you. And you know wouldn't be the first time he was a on the titans defense stop technically under his dad and two thousand eighteen in two thousand nineteen You know it's it's something where i don't really have an issue over. It's not like he's being given The keys to like a coach linebacker Or the defensive line is just saw a general defensive assistant there to help out with whatever needs to be done a. He has head coaching experience in high school. But it's one of those things where i don't want specifically compared to kyle shanahan but know you can't help but look back at some of these coaches who were the sons of famous law coaches before like kyle and mike shannon. It's not the same as someone who wasn't the the son of prominent coordinator or coach. Could map keys. Was probably there with dean pees you know as a child of maybe you know in of those meeting. Rooms may be He was brought along with. He's been around the game of football his entire life. And you know possibly like I know there are some stories. About how kyle shanahan was brought in with mike and you know. He sat in in some of those like hopkins of meetings before as a child of so you know maybe map he does. Have you know a prominent future in the. Nfl learned a probably as much as he could from season. He's probably you know learning more and more from his dad moving forward especially being around an nfl. The way he was with the titans the way he will be with the falcons. And you know maybe he'll have Maybe offer dean pees retires map. Ps will be given like a shot not to be the defensive coordinator but to be know position. Coach Continue working his way out louder all on the defensive side of the ball. Yeah i think that's the thing will will pay attention to the next couple of years is to see what happens with this. Coaching staff. Ps comes in with the least amount of experience on the coaching staff. But again this is something to keep an eye on a again. I'm not a fan of nepotism in general. But if this got dean pees the door it may have been a move that was worth it just remains to be seen how he gets used in the impact. He has on the team as well. So i don't want to completely write it off. But i think some people were like little little bit uncomfortable with the move but it is what it is all right. Couple of special teams coaches brought in. First of all the the the falcons did hire as their new special teams coordinator marquees williams from two thousand eighteen to two thousand twenty. He was the assistant special teams coach with alliance in two thousand eighteen. He was the chargers defensive assistant and from two thousand sixteen two thousand seventeen. He was the chargers assistant special teams coach and then they bring in senior assistant. Steve hoffman. who is with the titans from two thousand sixteen to two thousand seventeen as our special teams coordinator two thousand thirteen through two thousand fifteen as their assistant special teams coordinator and was with the raiders in two thousand twelve as their special teams coach. What are your thoughts on these last two names as we round out the new coaching staff. While it can't be any worse than what our special teams has been like the past sard area very low you know. His unit can fall on an onside kick. Then i'll consider that a massive success. It'll be out with a marcus williams. He was aligned. Special teams coach past two years lines have been tenth in devi away on special teams. Devi away in two thousand nineteen and two thousand twenty. Which you know spoiler alert. Well ahead of the atlanta falcons who were in the bottom ten In devi away in twenty one thousand nine hundred twenty two well in twenty twenty. We were slightly better than in the bottom ten but still delights have been much better than us. I actually really liked the move to bring in. Steve hoffman As innocent because steve hoffman has been a special teams coach or an assistant special teams coach in some form or fashion since one thousand nine hundred eighty five in it says another one of those where bringing in a guy with a welfare wealth of.

"That's a that we're reliving two thousand sixteen to two thousand seven ache. It's a hot tag. But i'm pretty sure. What the falcons if you could go back in time i'm pretty sure arthur blank would rather have made the move to retain kyle shanahan. But yeah. That's neither here nor there That's that's tennessee's problem. That's just my personal opinion. On like i will say this about please. I think the means more than likely that he is coming and potentially grim somebody. We're gonna talk about some of the other coaches you know he brought in it. Seems like peas may be a guy that you know. He's his clock is gonna say two maybe three years as defensive coordinator and then he's going to hand the reins off to somebody. At least that's what it feels like. I could be wrong. This guy could coach until he's eighty fro and if he's coaching until he's eighty and we have them here. That's probably good news. Remember arthur smith in an interview. When asked about a couple of weeks ago. When he became the coach he said no football coach ever really retires. Well and i'll say this because we'll talk about that tees in just a few minutes. I do think his son coming in is a factor here. I think there's probably some inclinations that over long his son can be developed into a future events coordinator. And i don't necessarily. I'm not a big fan of nepotism and we'll again. We'll talk about this in the second. But i think that certainly factor here and as you mentioned you know these guys never truly retire so i suspect that if he hands the reins off to somebody down the road for the falcons that that person will still have his ear Whether it's unofficially. Or if peace moves into consult role or some form or fashion. It's clear peas loves to coach. He's coming back out of retirement as you mentioned a second time. So it's clear. Know this guy in his seventies still feels like he has to offer. And i love it. I love it. I love this higher. I think this is a great start. To what arthur smith is trying to put together and we talked about this. When arthur smith hired that who brings in as You know to fell. His staff is going to be a big factor in his success. And i think what he just did with bringing in dean pees could be a critical factor here so very excited about this move all right next guy down. Defensive line coach gary emmanuel From two thousand eighteen through two thousand nineteen. He was the giants defensive line coach from two thousand twelve to two thousand seventeen. He was the colts. Defensive line coach and in two thousand eleven. He was at purdue as their defensive coordinator and they're defensive line coach us. Let me get your thoughts on on on geary manuals. The falcons new defensive line coach only has a a wealth of experience. And you know that's something that's always a big big check in the positive box when it comes to evaluating these guys. I think personally with peas all running the show at least for this next year. It's not these some of these assistance In their experience it's not as important as on the offensive side of the ball. Just because you know. You have arthur smith as the head guy on offense. And he's such a young man while Thirty eight years old. I don't really have the right. Be calling anyone at personally but Yeah it's Gary manual has has that experience. He's been coaching the defensive line and he was the defense coordinator of purdue for the past decade He's been coaching the defensive line. And you know this is someone. Who if dean pees does End up retiring the next year or two gary manual could be one of the first guys looked to possibly take over as As a defensive coordinator if they don't look externally yeah he has sixty two and even though i just listed his experience it goes even further back mostly in college but his essentially been a defensive assistant coach whether it's defensive line. Linebackers defensive tackles defensive. Ends primarily defensive lines. He has a ton of defensive line. Coaching experience since nineteen eighty five. Which i was ten in nineteen ninety-five that gives you my age. And i know you were not even close to being born yet of not not in the next decade man. Feel old So if he does come with a talk of coaching experience. Ton of experience overall. So you know. I think it depends on how important you think these roles are. I think the move makes sense simply because again. Another veteran with a ton of experience is gonna join this coaching staff. And i don't have a problem with all next on which list linebackers coach frank british two thousand and nineteen through two thousand twenty. He was the jets assistant head coach and slash inside linebackers coach in also the interim defensive coordinator in twenty twenty Win that entire. Coaching staff was decimated from two thousand seventeen through two thousand eighteen. He was the dolphins assistant head coach and linebackers coach and from two thousand thirteen through two thousand sixteen. He was the rams linebackers coach. So any thoughts on frank bush. He offers another guy who offers just another wealth of experience and to give you an of how much experience he has as linebackers coach. He was the linebackers coach. For the houston. Oilers wave today and the oilers you know. They're now the texans. He started his career coaching linebackers. Nineteen ninety three..

"Two thousand nineteen through two thousand twenty. He has been louisville's offensive coordinator and their offensive line coach from two thousand sixteen. Two thousand eighteen. He was the north carolina state of line coach and from two thousand and thirteen through two thousand fifteen. He was the appalachian state co offense coordinator and of course offensive line coach. This guy did play in the nfl. He was a center. Never really got a ton of playing time soon. Not not a great player but he does have experience at the position again. Relatively young forty four years old odd. Not whether your thoughts on Dwayne lead for the. I'm with you. I didn't really know who. All leopard was regarding his Coaching career and you know even his playing career who's pretty obscure player back in the day. He's coached mostly in college You know he has coached the for the past few years at nc state louisville. This is one where you know. I'm questioning it a little bit. Just because we know just how important the office of line is and you know obviously someone who can run what. Arthur smith likes to run But you know some positives about it. He helped develop mci becton at louisville. Who's one of the best. Young offensive tackles in the nfl right now out on his rookie year with the jets who is fantastic offensive line coach at nc state. He's been doing for the past few years no. Nfl experience the coaching level. What is interesting is while he was a player on Offseason or practice squad his coaching career so he was on the browns practice squad. O-5 on the saints in os six or on their off-season team as well While starting simultaneously starting his coaching career Unc as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at north carolina and then he went to nfl europe at all the way in germany to Continue his coaching career after his official retirement. So you know that's so a fun fact. I guess but yeah. It's this one remains to be seen. Yeah i will say you know the one thing that i read about him. That gives me a little bit of encouragement. And you know. Take this for what it's worth. There was an article that essentially said louisville football watford departure crushing loss So it sounds like this. Guy was incredibly respected at louisville both by the players and the other coaches and it sounds like they're they're going to miss him a lot. Hopefully that is a strong indication of what he brings as a coach. Obviously there's a lot that remains to be seen and he has not coached at the nfl level. And you know that can be a completely different beast. Going from college. Student fell the fact that he does have some experience in the nfl player. Think will help. But this one i think is is a little bit of a card. What we're gonna see how this one plays out finally offensive assistant danny brier. He was with the falcons this year as an offensive assistant and two thousand seventeen through two thousand eighteen as a buccaneer defensive assistant he has been retained. We won't say too much about him So of course this. Coaching staff is going to depend a lot on what arthur smith does since is quote unquote his side of the ball. So a lot of interesting guys love interesting. Hires here some question marks. We'll see how this plays out going into the season but we do want to talk about this defense and who was brought in. I think there's some excitement here and for good reason but before we do that we're gonna take a quick break. We'll be right back. You're different and that's a good thing. You understand the importance of blazing your own trail. Even if that means insisting that those crocs are acceptable everyday shoes. What's tricky though..

"If we do go with A young quarterback in the draft this year and he takes over from matt ryan in two three years. I would hope that we'd have a more experienced quarterbacks coach because that that's who it matters more foreign you know maybe trolled london is like a secret quarterback whisper who is gonna develop amazing quarterbacks. You know the jury is still out but you know this is also one where the pause but again if we're going gets hired Moving forward in london would be a candidate to possibly be the next offensive coordinator. So maybe they're looking at as maybe an offense coordinator in training in case we're going Ends up leaving the team via promotion or for whatever reason in the coming years yeah. That's that's a fantastic point. And i think that has to be kept in mind and as you mentioned i think for twenty twenty one the fact that matt ryan is more than likely going to be here barring a jaw-dropping trade or cut. They don't need a true quarterbacks coach series. They're not gonna help lot. We'll say in watching. Arthur smith's offense a week He uses the bootleg a lot like he had ryan tannehill running bootlegs as if there was no tomorrow and i think you could make a case that the running backs coach may have an easier time teaching the footwork and the outside the pocket to quarterback that may be stretching it but Otherwise yeah i'm with you. This feels like a move where initially saw him. I'm not entirely sure what's going gone here. But i think if they haven't i towards the the ideas you mentioned that we're going could quickly be out the door if the especially if the falcons have a ton of success it may be that they foresee london as a guy who can immediately take over as the. Oc in a like a like the idea. That arthur smith has a this ambition. That he's gonna make a bunch of future head coaches. I love the fact that they may be thinking that way so signed me up for that all right next in line. Why receivers. Coach dave brock. He's actually a carryover. Which you know is a little bit surprising. Not entirely surprising. Some guys do get carried over as arthur smith was with the titans multiple times. He two thousand nineteen Into the president he was the falcons wide receivers coach. So same position. He'll retain that Two thousand nineteen. He was also the running backs coach before. Some changes were made in from two thousand seventeen two thousand eighteen. He was insistent wide receivers coach sue. Brock obviously has a good experience. He has familiarity with Julio jones calvin ridley russell gauge what are your thoughts on the falcons retaining him onto this new staff. I like it. I mean. wide receiver has been one of atlanta's dominant positions in years past. We've seen Calvin ridley developments over the past couple of years. We saw russell gauge developed from a sixth round pick to a bona fide slot wide receiver. And i've been on record. I thought that A good slot receiver would have been. Russell gauges ceiling like years down the line and he reached that ceiling that you know i put in my head for him a lot quicker than i thought he would so he really did He's been fantastic. And i'm incredibly proud of his development over the past few years maybe more so than anyone else on the team you know he's putting that work and you just know he has With david brock. Like he's been with the falcons. He's paid dues as an assistant. Wide receivers coach the wide receivers are familiar with them He's done a good job. And i'm happy that he's continuing along for the ride. Yeah i think your point about russell gauges going out with add in some additional players that lists such as long days before he got injured christian blake was a contributor this year so i think they were probably pleased with the overall work. He did getting these guys prepared to actually contribute on sundays. And i think that's you know you look at calvin ridley and his Quick emergence in the league That happened under dave rock in some form or fashion. So i like as you mentioned. I think this move makes a lot of sense and again continuing the having that continuity With a guy who's gonna be familiar with some of the key members of this offense on the field is gonna be extremely helpful. So i i like the fact that they're keeping him next on the list. This name is going to ring some bells coming back to atlanta in a different form. The new tight ends coach justin peele who from two thousand fifteen. The two thousand and twenty was the eagles tight ends coach and was the assistant tight ends coach for the eagles from two thousand thirteen through two thousand fourteen. So odd nine. When i first saw his name was like. I didn't know he was still playing. Why are we bring him back to play tight end and then they're like no. He's a coach was love it. How what you think about justin peel. It caught matt ryan first ever playoff. Pass away game. You know there are some good moments. I was I was just like a child. I not two thousand eight season. Am i remember i. It's a lot of dalcin. Seeing dustin feels name You know he was a serviceable tight end for us and you know he's paid his do who's He died ends coach or in some form or fashion. He's worked with tight ends for the past seven years in the eagles. They developed doc earth's they developed dallas daughter. You know that's not became one of the most lethal tight end. Duos in the nfl in you know he's been a very. He's done a very good job with the eagles in the past five six years and continuing his career on on welcome back to atlanta. I like the move. Yeah and i'll tell you this One thing we're going to see with arthur smith and if he does something similar in atlanta that he did with titans. Arthur smith loves tight. End sets the you know. Obviously the titans had jonnu smith as their number one receiver. But they're they're Fourth highest number of targets went to their second tight end and you know so essentially it was number two wide receiver number one and number two wide receiver. Their number one tight end and the number two tight end that like their third wide. Receiver had fewer targets. The second tight end so it makes you wonder if the falcons are looking at jaden graham and thinking. Hey this could be an opportunity for us to finally get something more out of jane. Graham because they clearly have loved his potential since training camp and we saw his potential in training camp before the pandemic A lot of people thought that jaden graham could be someone that would really contribute in the passing game And of course you know dirk cutter is where all careers go to die. But my hope is that you know people can come in And coach these guys and that the team may finally get more out of Hayden hearse than they got this year. Amd potentially more out of Jane graham really as you mentioned this guy's pay dues. He played the position so he knows what he's doing. I really like this higher. I think this one is a understated in may actually have a big impact on this team. All right offensive line coach dwayne lead furred had no. I'll be honest. I had no idea this guy was had the look him up..

"Welcome back everybody. Today we're talking about What's wrong with asking the question? Are you clean? and. I said earlier sometimes people ask it. They're trying to be nice. They're trying to be polite. They're trying to skirt around the edges I. think it'd be really useful though for us to spend some time talking about what should we be asking in? How can we practice ask or model or practice some of those conversations And you know the real question that people actually want to know. Is. Have, you been tested recently because have you been tested recently than you actually know your status you actually know if you have any infections or diseases and otherwise you don't actually know that. So asking someone you know their opinion of whether they have any STD's is not actually valid but asking them, you know, hey, when was the last time you are tested? That's a concrete question that you can get some real. To just asking him why clean if someone hasn't been tested a huge number of sexually transmitted diseases, STD's don't have symptoms for people even things like gonorrhea incl- media for many people no symptoms whatsoever. "Noticed like a regular cinnamon in the feeling doesn't go all the way through. It's only by the eyes and mouth. Spine. It doesn't need to be all the way through. It doesn't need that extra I'm going to say it's not feeling. It's just on Tom Eisenmann author. I don't like that. Surprisingly I think I would like it even more without the CARAMEL. Caramel are the what is it Pumpkin? Filling? The just eight it's an away. is a weird tasting cookie. It's the weird like two soft cookie. It's like big Newton Shell if it were soft in that filled, it's chemically soft. I do like it. I thought it was like a caramel with pumpkin flavoring Okay. It's the texture of Karnal. That was a Pumpkin. Paste. Solid. I'm okay with being seasonal going away soon but for now. Yeah. What's next Brian? You enjoy this let's go with the cupcakes. ICED Pumpkin. cupcakes. So. Yeah. These have the typical hostess curl, but they have white frosting. The top of the curl is orange. And what appears to maybe be a PUMPKIN CAKE BASE And also, they are a smaller than normal cupcake. I think that this is the sounds of all the hostess ones. Early, this looks tiny to me by the two-pack. This is smaller than those. If you buy them in the big box, they seem to be about the size. Fair. Viner cupcakes lately. I always eat open up the middle see what it looks like. That really smells. Can. Spicy this is surprisingly good. I don't love like Pumpkin bread for this is uh, this is almost like a carrot cake pumpkin cake. The only thing I don't like about it is that. It's making my trust issues come up where keep expecting to have a bite full of reasons. Reasons. Wonder why they haven't done a carrot cake one. Because that would sell year round. When it though? Would I mean? Especially, if they could do a thicker cream cheese filling. I think this lighter cream in it with that top. This works surprisingly well especially after.

"I mean I will say it. It still could just be them buying into the publicity because they didn't actually say say sad but they posted a screen shot of it on twitter. and. They changed their name to salty races on twitter and people are assuming that that's a confirmation salty. Okay. Salty races. I guess we'll find out. you guys have any experiences worth sharing I mean I've eaten this week. There's nothing share. I have I have. To really quick ones here. When something could happen to me This week. I was taken. One of my nice healthy walks you know to get donuts. And? Realize that the gas station I like to go to that's about a Mile Russo away from me after four o'clock they're half price better than that are fifty cents. Nice. Yeah. So good time to go. Before they sell out. and. I went and as you do because, you're walking a couple of miles you earned your read I got four doughnuts. And only two dollars, right. And I get up there to pay the person up. There's like you know what don't worry about I got you. With thirty seconds of putting those in the trash. So you just take him you know no actually it was pretty close after four, and if you go later like seven, they're almost sold out so. I A lot of people do that I think but that was a nice thing I am. I like once in my life was a mall at closing time and the Auntie Anne's pretzels was as trying to get rid of everything. And they were like. Everything, we got a dollar each just like whatever money you got 'cause. We want to go home and ever since that if I'm at a mall late I, go by anti and to see if that lightning will strike me again. And it never has. Sad To have those expectations built like that. Right like I know this is the thing that can happen. Yeah. Now my experience is actually also practical related, and this is before I knew that we were going to be doing candy coated pretzels like holiday ones today. So? I'm just going to confess some things. Okay. Emerging we'll try not to judge will probably fail, but we'll try it I'm I'm confident you will. So. Bulk food. Bins in grocery stores, right do you ever take a sample like walking by you want to check the freshness of the gummy bears or whatever? No I have in the past but not recently I mean only if I'm going to buy them and I'm like wait this looks sketch. Right also. So sometimes you're like I don't want like. A pound or even like a half, a pound of the the peanut butter pretzels dislike. What if I just checked the the freshness of one? And NFL, they're good I would act like maybe I would buy back You know what if I just eat one on my? I don't like that one. Then I can have like one peanut Butter Pretzel And Its. Surrounding error for them, right right. So so is this your logic if you are going to buy less than a half a pound as long as it rounds down to less than I'm saying that like in the greater scheme of things they're not GonNa Miss, one Pretzel..

"Moment of Bliss Alexa Nikki. Then like you're shown on saying moment of bliss. Don't like my what. Town of you sounded. You said moment of like moment of bliss the moment. We had moment of bliss I feel like whenever anyone says. Moment of blessed should be selling on lines of moment. Bless no, really the reason. I sounded excited because in my report here I'm trying to skip past like just quick little backstage, things or announcer segments, and I got a little lost and I was excited when I again. Koch so inconsequential on the show, so to speak I mean it was your typical of you know unless you're very ineffective over the scripted not at all believable way too cute, talking segment and look I mean this. This week's moment of bliss was far from the worst moment of bliss, but moment of bliss are consistently some of the worst segments on the show every week. The best part though is when Sasha was mean to the camera Guy Nikki just said. Don't you talk to him like that? You know the funny thing, too. Is that if you had like the same concept was just Alexa Nikki coming out there sort of an oddball grouping and sort of playing off each other and sort of like a funny way, and you just let them sort of doing an extemporaneous man I think they might be able to to pull it off I'm not sure because it is kind of outside their own of pro wrestling, because they aren't really geared towards building up matches so much, but like both of them are very good at their characters in a way that I think they might be able to do something with it, but you know like the the. The the screen just everything, and it's not just the fact that they're scripted all. It certainly doesn't help, but what they're scripted to do. Which is like? Have this like you know? Tepid Cute Banter that doesn't feel organic in any way doesn't feel like actual people talking and is more more designed to just sort of like highlight, the cuteness and the relevance of our brand of comedy than to accomplish any goal. Yes! Okay So then nicky crossing asking. It's Balian banks any thoughts on the actual match. Tag Match with does the same people wrestling over and over and over again. Though that is factually true. So Ms Morrison have little given Morrison, I guess a bit of a pep talk for his match with Braun. And then and then Bron Morrison go back to the fun house in a minute. Any, thoughts on on this two minute. Just, destruction of Morrison based I think it was last week you talked about. The use of Morrison. Yes, so the the the moment of bliss I was objecting to unlike the abstract because those things like always pretty bad in terms of what they're doing the Bron-. Morrison segment was just a really it was. It was a very bad segment. Relative to most segments that they do like I thought that the lines that they gave Braun were so bad. I thought bronze delivery was Bradford it was almost unintelligible, phony screaming I didn't buy. That guy was worked up in the slightest. I thought he was just awful in his presentation, and I thought Morrison acting so afraid of him just did a hell of a lot more hurt Morrison than to help brought, and I thought this was a segment that everybody in the segment came out of it worse than they wanna on. He speed talked and I I don't know if that was by design talk fast. That'll show that. You're really worked up. But you couldn't even understand what you're saying just like that to me. That's where we stop the taping in go. Let's try that again. Because, yeah, yeah, absolutely one thousand one they should have just I mean granted. They shouldn't have given him that material in the first place, but there's gotta be a way to deliver that material in the way. He did I thought he was just awful. Yeah Yeah. So there was the I guess we're kind of in between the initial Ms Morrison pep talk in match itself. In some of the stuff that Brian, they had the firefly funhouse where it got all the started. In kind of moved to the old, the old original bray, any any thoughts on that video patch. Okay. Glad I circle back to it. You never know Lacey. Lacey. Confirming, she's she'll now any thoughts on that. For some reason you mentioning that like imagine like a cartoon of you and me, we're like we're going through the woods and you're. GonNa lead you present something I imagined this cartoon form. You looking all happy. Clicking restaurant and walking on? Disgusted. Being very sad. Sarah Sarah Cooper's. The. Speaking over. Imitating Donald Trump speaking I don't know how to say. Ventriloquist Ventriloquist VENTRILOQUISTS DONALD TRUMP I don't know. There should be a cartoon version of the facts I just walk. Make my boys just like you described like an animated version and people decide go from super, happy and wide tooth very sad and my shoulders slumping. move onto the next thing. Somebody out there. Somebody other. Yes so. Question for that? Lacey Evans confirming Oh. Yeah I mean I. Did I did think the finish of this was clever. In terms of just being really underhanded way for he'll the pick up a win, so you're turning? If you're turning lacy, he'll again. I thought that was a a good way of of getting across that character switch. then. Jeff Hardy pro talking about this week's Is A smackdown match up your match. I can't confirm that now. You're. Are we sure it wasn't on paper view? I just forgot. All right so yeah. Lacey or wait, what am I talking about here? Jeff Hardy, so any thoughts on on the latest, already pro talking about James. T! I wasn't ready for the next thing I needed at six seconds to figure out what to do next. We'll just jump to the main about the look like anything else happened here. Just my riddle INTERCON Otemachi styles winds in eighteen minutes. And they turn that into a pivoted to a Corbin Riddle feudals like. Oh! This is a very good match. very good, main fat and I'm with you I'm cool with the finish there are people were really upset. That riddle lost on so quick into a smackdown tenure, and certainly as a general rule they beat people way too quickly on the main roster, but I thought the finish was laid out in a way so that you watch that and Aj did earned the win. Got You know he got the win? It wasn't a garbage finish, but you're left. At least I was thinking watching this matching over token definitely. Definitely beat Asia. Aj just barely got by the sky and age as one of their one of their top talents. Now obviously, the follow up is key, and it's you know it's not wise to expect optimal. Follow up from other be but I. "The shooting today, we are going to go to that. So we can get the latest update on what they know. And what they're willing to tell us about the resolution of that incident. But in the meantime, we're talking about this morning. This is a big deal when President Donald Trump took to the rose garden. We knew that there was that it was going to happen. We knew that he was going to make a statement and a lot of people anticipated that he would be signing this emergency order, but let me just tell you that there are huge issues with the emergency order. I mean, they're first of all house. Democrats have already stated that they're launching a probe now of his emergency declaration after he admitted the sound that we played for you. When he said, I didn't need to do this to fund the wall. Well, if you didn't need to do it, how do you possibly rationalize that this is an emergency. So there. That. And I think they should I think they should do that. But again, he can avoid it all by taking back the emergency declaration and just using these forfeited funds that nobody will be able to interfere with another thing that he's doing though is an end run around the congress. That's not what emergency powers are supposed to be used for. It is in the constitution. The constitution states the responsibilities of the various branches of government. There are three and they are co equal branches we have a tripartite government. And so one of the most important functions of congress is to control the national purse. They're the ones who allocate funds and for Donald Trump not to get his way with congress. And so to use this emergency declaration as a way to defeat the congress could be and I think it is. But the arguments going to be made that it is unconstitutional that means that they're going to be a lot of court actions incl-, and there will be lawsuits as well. And that could tie this thing up for years. And years and years, it could be well beyond the time that Donald Trump continues to sit in office and one other thing, and this is one of the things that Republicans care about this sets precedent for future presidents, and they will use it. Make no mistake about it. I know Nancy Pelosi made the statement that what if a democratic president takes power there's another school shooting, and they just had it and she did say this. I'm elaborated. But but then that president says I'm gonna make an emergency declaration gun violence is a national emergency in the United States of America. And I'm going to use that to do whatever they did they decide to do confiscate your guns. I don't know repeal the second amendment. I don't know. But if that if the power is that broad that you can do it without the congress participating you do it around the congress. What else might it be used for in the future? It shouldn't be used for this not by this president, and it shouldn't be used by future. President you cannot simply usurp the power of the. Congress eight hundred eighty eight ten is the telephone number eight oh eight oh, eight ten. Let's go to the phones we're going to talk with John John. You're calling from dunnigan. It's on the I five oh you blink. Yeah. If you blink twice. She'll pass it. I see I know those kinds of studies. Well, welcome to G O, John. Go ahead. Okay. We are pretty much convinced. There is no crisis on the border. We're pretty much convinced that we're not being invaded unless those kids have blocks in their diapers. Which no one has found yet. No one is found yet. The bottom line here is if I were to call nine one one and state that I have an emergency, right? And I do it multiple times. I'm going to get a one-way ticket to the gray bar hotel with a matching set of bracelets to go with it. Yes. You are. I am also going to get a large Bill for filing a false report. Right. We have already dispatched the army for the crisis that doesn't exist. We have already taken money from federal employees and contractors on tetris won't get paid back. Right. Well, unless somebody passes a Bill and says that they do and Donald Trump would have to sign that. And he is averse to paying those contractors the money. They lost. G M not paying contractors mansion that I know. So do you think, you know, on on your earlier point where you would be wearing the matching bracelets? Do you think that Donald Trump declaring this national emergency broke the law? I think he absolutely has. And while I'm not a big fan of impeachment because I would prefer him to get his head handed to him in a election or have him be married or have him be defeated in such a way that it is absolutely humiliating. So that there is absolutely no chance that the right wing can find any sympathy with him. At this point right now, I think he is not only broken the law. He's rubbing our nose in the fact that he is broken bow law. I I I'm not I'm not sure you're right that he has broken the law what he has done by issuing this emergency declaration, many people think is he has issued a declaration that is a violation of the separation of powers, and that it is unconstitutional declaration. But I don't believe that any president's going to go to jail for trying to do something that's unconstitutional. It simply will be revoked. Of the matter is if you declare an emergency. And there is none there, right? I could understand it. I mean, if there's a fire someplace, and you want to declare a state of emergency, great, if you wanna make it clear state of emergency over the fact that we have measles outbreaks because people don't want to vaccinate their kids. I understand that. There is no rationale to say there is an emergency on the southern border of this country. The fact is not not only do I agree with you. But President Trump agrees with you. And that is proven by his own words when he said, I do not need to do this. I can get it done. But it'll take some time. And I wanted done faster. He has essentially admitted that is not an emergency. So making an emergency declaration seems like it is. I don't think it'll be acceptable. I think it's wrong. And I, but the congress look at the makeup of the congress right now, it's going to happen in the Senate the senate's going to override the the emergency declaration. I'm sorry. The house is going to override the emergency declaration. But what about the Senate the Senate is still controlled by Republicans? And while there are some Republicans who have stood up and said, no, this is a really bad idea. People. Like Marco Rubio. There are too many of them, like Lindsey Graham and McConnell, the turtle man who have said that they support the president in his emergency declaration. So whether they're going to be able to do that. I don't know it's going to be an enormous Gavin Newsom has also filed a lawsuit regarding this emergency declaration and the president. You know, you were talking about troops. He's also ordered the national guard to the border and Gavin Newsom brought the guard back because the guard is under the control of the of the governor eight hundred eighty eight ten is the telephone number eight oh eight oh, eight ten what about the idea that he can avoid all of this. By just taking the money in drug cases that has been forfeited. It'll be enough money for him to start construction. Eight hundred eighty eight ten the telephone number eight oh eight oh, eight ten we go to Karen, Karen's in San Jose. Karen, welcome to k- geo. Hypothetically, could you hear you? Thank you for taking my call. You bet. I take a different angle on this. I think he's delivered late pushing the envelope and pushing but under see what he could actually get away with and not a lake. The border step. It's been going on. But a lot of things in in our government. I think Steve Bannon and Steve Miller is kitchen cabinet advisers telling him, and and other people are to get see what you can get away with just Jewish because he's not one to ask permission first. He'll maybe he'll apologize for it later. But I doubt it doubt. Yeah. I I do it. You ever heard him apologize for any? Oh, hell, no. No. But what I think is. I think he's doing this deliberately I don't think it's you know, he could have like you said Dr money from other places are not good not brought up this whole emergency stuff that he's doing creating drama, right? But drama seems to be what he loves he and you and Karen, listen, I got an Email from another care in this one in Sevastopol who says I hope Trump pursues his emergency proclamation because it'll get bogged down in court and hopefully disappear. She said he may figure this is a good distraction from the apparently soon to arrive Muller investigation court. That's true. That's true. Yeah. So that because he is the master of distraction. I mean, that's one thing we have to give the guy. Eighty eighty eight ten is the telephone number eight hundred eight eight ten we'll be back with more of your telephone calls after this. "Now that I agree with anything that he said, but question you feel like for athletes if they are going to protest. That there is something else that they could be doing other than taking a knee before their game is not convenient. What do you mean command is easy is an easy way to hear that you're in support of things changing, but it's not really so people. So is that a lot of these athletes in the off season actually did do certain things Malcolm Jenkins is the most vocal. Martinez Bennett is the is the second most local do things. The reality is in two thousand eighteen. I've actually gotten to the point where I say that we shan't overcome. And the reason I say that is because we're too lazy. We like feel-good activism. We like incl- activism. Move inclusion that makes me feel like they did something when reality they didn't sacrifice a thing. Now, let's be honest though when you've seen the biggest strongest and most vocal of the slaves killed. Then it is brave to continue on doing what you're doing. We're going to boo, you call you ause what's niggers and combs, and in jiggle, booze and porch monkeys and and moon crickets, and all sorts of other shit and talk bad about you and treat you like crap and the leader of the free world can't even govern this country because he'd be talking shit about you. I think that is brave. Is it convenient? Yes. But we've gotten to the point where everything for in this country needs to be convenient. Even our protests are convenient. That's why I'll be like, don't tell me to change my profile picture or something. Don't bring me to know, candlelight, vigil. I'm not coming. I'm not. I'm not p- reposting the status. I'm not doing all that dumb as armchair activism. I'm sorry, we make we mistake activity for progress and think it's a good thing because. We can go home and feel about ourselves. I think the players themselves are fairly brave for doing this, but if there's no action taken in addition to, I think it's a fruitless effort. Sometimes the bravery is all you need the and I won't deny that I wanted to not them that. Yeah, that that's kind of where I'm at with that. So outlay keep kneeling. I'm not going to be watching. I've seen all of the excuses. People. I will wattle job work college football. Such a dumb ass up. I, I'm watching because I want to support the players. I, I don't support the NFL, but I support the players just say, you wanna watch football or just say, you want to watch football. But my thing is at this point I'm literally looking at people that are watching football and I'm like, okay, just so you wanna watch like, you don't have to give me an excuse. I'm not washing. I'm taking. I'm taking my Sundays and being more productive with them. If you wanna watch football, just say you wanna watch football, but don't give me no excuse as to why unite down for the calls we giddy like, okay, like not everybody participating civil rights movement, where there was a more organized.
