Rep. MTG Became a Politician to Fight the Democrats' Communist Agenda
"So what the heck you doing in. The swamp is a politician. What what happened andrei. Yeah right well. I'm also a mom of three incredible human beings that i adore more than anyone on this planet and i am gravely concerned for their future and the direction that our country is going in the i you know. I started calling them socialists. When i was running for congress. I've blown past that. I now call them the communist party of america the democrats or the communist and it's not just the progressive wing. It's the hallway her party. You said something in the break that seeing the rest of the should just you know they've come out of the closet anyway by. What they're saying is pushing. They should just start wearing the communist stash. Of course to be proud be proud. See they could sell those t shirts. And those voters those seventy dollars sweatshirts and see spell sans about tax. The rich fan ilhan omar with all of hers. You know what they say but yeah they could sell merchandise. I mean they could bring in a whole lot of campaign donations and contributions for just identifying themselves as. Communists capitalists rise. They're spreading the communists message. Capitalism only works in controlled environments in a in a communist country. And that's why we see big tech functions so well and gets along with democrats and you know so. Some other certain corporations that are so woke. They've to push these democrat communist policies through their companies on their employees and directly onto their customers. Because that's the communist way
What's Wrong With Cuba's Economy With Trish Regan
"Let's talk about the events. Just eighty miles off the shore of miami and the administration's reaction the fact that it took a week a week for the white house to admit that this isn't about vaccines this isn't about cove. It and there may be something wrong with the economic system in cuba trash. Just something you know. I don't know this. Little thing called communism maybe communism doesn't work you notice. Afc and black lives matter. They've taken a very different standards. Saying oh it's because of all those trade issues and embargoes and sanctions. That's why cues in a bad spot. Nothing to do with communism. Nothing to see here folks. I mean think about that. it's appalling. It's appalling that it took the by administration this long to come out and say yet. Communism doesn't really work. They're so scared of alienating the extremists in their party and they are extremists. Afc bernie sanders where she needed to leave. Ilhan omar all these people that somehow think communism. Isn't the the issue here when in fact it is. They were so scared of them that they didn't come out and do the proper thing from the beginning. And i still in very doubtful as to whether or not we're gonna see much support for cuba don't forget cubans know. Communism is like right so when they moved to the united states of america. They're not voting for the communist like style principles and policies. That the binding twice said. Don't you dead come here now. You tell me sub. I mean look. How is it that we're willing to to roll out the red carpet for migrants and by the way he used the term migrants when referring to those coming from cuba. You notice they never call people coming over the border from mexico migrants. They always refer to them as immigrants. Well let me just say that. The illegal migrants coming over the border. They're not escaping. What people in cuba are escaping. The cubans are legitimate refugees from a regime. That will kill them. They're found out. I mean these are real refugees and so when we talk about being hospitable to refugees. Shouldn't we at least be looking at the cubans and and you know they're not and i find that peculiar but incredibly sad because i suspect that the real reason here is all
Bongino Welcomes Liberals to Confront Their Ideology; We All Should
"Liberals on even though it can be annoying at times, because I think it exposes the failure, their ideology and They won't do that to us because they're uncomfortable with their own ideas. I mean, Ilhan Omar is running away from critical race theory, claiming We're not teaching it. We don't run away from our ideas. But I was really spinning during that segment because I knew what he was saying was false. You doubt me? Look, here's a Fox news story for by Fred Fleitz who knows a lot about the Intel community May 2017 Talking about the so called 17 agencies that said Russia had feared on behalf of Donald Trump. In his May a testimony. The Senate Committee Judiciary Committee Jim Clapper, folks, Jim Clapper, confirmed what flight said in January that the assessment so far he was talking about reflected the views of only three intelligence agencies. The CIA, the NSA and FBI, Not all 17 again. It's just they just don't tell the truth about stuff. And I wonder sometimes what if there's any value in this? I mean it like I know, maybe it's for Baden and talk about this stuff or whatever. But the show is for you and I wanted to be informative, and I wasn't going to let that go and it it's weird because I only had like three minutes with him and he just wouldn't give it up. It's not true. It wasn't 17 agencies that concurred. There was three It's or a clapper already admitted it that there were select handful of insiders that set all this junk. But I don't know what you get out of it so Email us. You can go to our website
Ilhan Omar Leads the Latest Scam on Critical Race Theory
"Before the break where he's like, Listen, we're not teaching critical race theory. No, I thought you were proud of it. Number one, I guess not. You're running from it, but he There's the stunt. You want to see the stunt get ready. Although they may not be assigning the Derrick Bell Delgado tax, said the critical theory texts from decades ago. They're teaching all the principles hidden. Here's the trick. And I'm gonna tell you how to beat it. Let me give you an analogy because stories sometimes work better and are easy to understand. It's like saying say, your real hand, Omar. Oh, my gosh. You guys are such y you know, brother marry er you're such whiners. We're not teaching a course in bank robbery, and then you go and you look at the curriculum and it says Here is how you purchase the firearm to get money from the bank. Here is how you write the note to the teller indicating you have the firearm here is how you get the note back and don't leave fingerprints. Here is how you ask for the money. Here is how you get rid of the dye pack. Here is how you position the getaway car. Here's how long it takes for the police to respond once the emergency button is hit. Here's how to launder the money afterwards and then going we're not teaching bank robbery. It's a cash withdrawal class. And you're like, Oh, okay. We're not teaching wanted to rob a bank. Really? Did you read the course. So their latest scam is again a word dance euphemisms wordplay again. We're not teaching critical race theory. You crazy parents out there roll overreacting yet you look at the curriculum White impression. The white male patriarchy. Knowledge is a construct of power. All things that strangely appear. Where Where do they appear? Jim? Where did they appear again? Oh, that's my critical race theory. Thank you. Thank you. I needed I forgot for a second. This is
Zuhdi Jasser Suggests Rep. Ilhan Omar Has an Un-American Worldview
"To know about. Muslims. Who are Very comfortable with with the Western enlightenment and in the United States and who can practice their faith freely and, uh Who support our country and yet Judy Dresser. We watch Omar and tallied and others. These are Radical individuals. Will you tell us? What What did you How do you make this out? Well, you know, I have to tell you as much as every tweet that she does revealed her ideology. It's not just about the one tweet. It's her worldview. It's incompatible with Americanism. She is at her core anti American. So now we're seeing all of the uproar appropriately about this tweet, where she equated are American troops in Israel with the Taliban, Hamas and these other terror groups. And a few years ago, she equated our service in Somalia. She basically chastised Senator Franken for reminding Minnesotans about The terror committed against American troops were 19 died in 73 were injured in 1993. And yet, she said, no the real terrorists at the time where Americans who killed thousands of Somali And this is when she was barely 10 years old. So I would ask Americans, you know, she has no business serving on the Foreign Affairs Committee. Not just because of a few comments here or there, her worldview. Is that America is evil is that Israel is evil. The West is evil, and that the the the righteous ones are the Islamists who believe in an Islamic state. Her resume on foreign policy is the support of BDs, where she
11 House Democrats Object to Ilhan Omar's Comments on Hamas and Israel
"Democrats are going after one of their own representative ilhan omar after she asked a perfectly legitimate question to anthony blinken. Who is the secretary of state. Now the question how to do with the investigations pertaining to war crimes that have been committed by various organizations or various governments and so the critical statement There was a critical statement following the hold on. Let's take that down. There was a critical statement by her colleagues following the exchange that you're about to watch right now with representative omar anthony blinken take a look. I know you oppose the investigation in both palestinian and enact ghanistan. I haven't seen any evidence. In either cases that mystic boards can both can and will prosecute alleged warcrimes and times against humanity and i would emphasize that in israel and palestine. This includes crimes committed by both israel security forces them hamas in afghanistan and includes crimes committed by the afghan national government and the taliban so in both of these cases if domestic points can't or won't pursue justice and me opposed the sec. Where do we think the victims of this oppose it. Crimes can goal for justice so that was an important question to ask because the international criminal court which wants to probe the israeli government for possible war crimes against the palestinian people in gaza that the united states government the biden administration specifically does not support. So she's trying to ask well if you don't agree with the international criminal court investigating this and we can't rely on domestic governments to investigate their own warcrimes. Then how do you propose we do. These
White House Offers $916 Billion Stimulus Proposal, Cutting Jobless Benefits
"Show. That price tag is pretty close to the framework that bipartisan group of lawmakers have been trying to hash out over the past week but there is one crucial difference. The white house plan includes another round of direct checks. Were six hundred dollars per cent whereas it pays for that by getting rid of the three hundred dollars a week boosted unemployment benefits. That's in that bipartisan framework. A senior white house aide tells me that the checks are a high priority for the president. Democratic leadership called the trade acceptable but the politics of this do not breakdown cleanly along party lines there are democrats like senator bernie sanders and congresswoman ilhan omar who were trying to rally support around direct payments and there are republicans. Like senator josh hawley. Who are calling for direct payments. That are double the size that are in the white house plant now. Lawmakers have given themselves until december eighteenth to try to reach some sort of agreement. And if they don't senate majority leader mitch. Mcconnell has suggested a fallback plan and that is to get rid of the things that they don't agree on including liability protections in state and local aid. And just pass the things that they do agree on guys. It's interesting that the right kind of bipartisanship would you say alon. We'll take any well. The question here is. Is there enough support around the direct checks at the expense of something else. I think the democrats would be happy to added another round of direct checks at six hundred dollars a person but they're not willing to do that at the expense of something else. And if you add that in there the price tag steadily starts to creep up there and maybe you're at a trillion dollars or so or maybe even a little bit more that becomes an uncomfortable place for republicans so once again. You're back at that jigsaw puzzle and trying to figure out what is the right mix of policies that can pass and at the end of the day. Mcconnell's suggestion may be the one that carries the most water. You know just go for a barebones super skinny package if you will And go home for the holidays and then let this fight be taken back up again once. There is a new president sitting in the white house and a new dynamic perhaps on capitol hill But right now. Negotiations are incredibly muddy. And it's unclear which of these ideas if any of them is going to win out alon just trying to think through the numbers on this. I mean even if we're talking about a skinny bill that mcconnell is now sounding like he's endorsing if you get rid of the liabilities which didn't have any funding behind it. I think if you get rid of the state and local government. I think the last i saw that number was around one hundred sixty billion dollars. You're still talking

"I'm jonathan kaye part in this cape congresswoman. Ilhan omar minnesota is part of the self-described squad. The courts head of progressive congressmen elected to the house. Why omar says the disagreements within the caucus aren't as big as we think they are right now. good.

DNC Announces Convention Speakers, Speculation On Biden's VP Pick Intensifies
"Of scheduled speakers at next week's Democratic National Convention is out, and it's being parsed for clues as to who's still in the running to be Joe Biden's running mate. He's expected to make that announcement any day now. Meanwhile, President Trump is floating the idea of accepting the Republican nomination later this month on Sacred ground. The Gettysburg Battlefield. NPR national political correspondent Mara Liasson is watching it all. And Mara. You know, some names in the running to be Biden's running mate are scheduled to speak, but not in the VP slot, you know, and I'm just wondering if that's a fool's errand to try to make that meaningful, You know? What do you think about that? And who do you think at this point is thumb Where are may be the most likely candidates. I think the most likely candidates are still that same handful of women, you know, Joe Biden said. He's going to take a woman whether it's Kamala Harris, Susan Rice, Gretchen Whitmer, Karen Bass. Those are the people who have been on the list for quite some time. And and, of course, Gretchen Whitmer is the only white female on that short list. But I think the list has remained the same. Sounds like he's about to make his decision because the vetting committee has pretty much disbanded on DH. It could be as early as today that we find out So what do you think for everybody who's sitting home, you know, got all the names and the lists on whiteboards and, you know, trying to, you know, look at those tea leaves. And should we be looking at the List of speakers. Oh, I think that that that is actually fool's errand, but it's fun and it's going to be over very soon. It could be over today, so go ahead. But I still think you know that of all my conversations with Democrats all signs Seemed to point to Kamala Harris. But with the caveat that Joe Biden hasn't decided, and he often takes his time deciding well, 100 prominent black men signed a letter. Hoping they could make him decide that it would be a black woman because they said to him, you will lose the election. If you don't choose a black woman as a running mate, and this was entertainers, pastors, business leaders, athletes. I'm wondering more. If you think that Biden really needed that public pressure, it would seem in this moment in time. That's the choice. He'd want. Make one of these in class. That's what I think. I think that letter was really aimed. And Gretchen Whitmer. She's the only white person on that list. Everyone else is a person of color or black woman. So I don't think he needed that kind of public pressure. But it does show you that of all the people on the list. There is a backlash brewing to at least one of them in that's Gretchen Whitmer. You haven't seen the same kind of opposition public opposition to Kamala Harris, for instance. Oh, by the way, you're saying Elizabeth Warren is not in the running and I don't think so. Yeah, No, I don't think so, although she's a thought leader in the party, and she certainly has influenced a tremendous amount of his agenda. Of the Democratic National Convention will be all online this year. Wouldn't does that mean for the post convention bounce that the candidates look for Hillary Clinton got well, first of all, who knows Because nobody's ever run a presidential campaign in a pandemic. But most people I talked to assume that the post convention bounce will be very small thiss year for both candidates because they're not having the kind of big Excitement filled crowded conventions like we have in the past that being said the Democrats have had a lot longer time to plan for a virtual convention than the Republicans because they've been scaling. There's back for months. And the big question is, are they about to produce the best four night television show ever seen in history? Or will it kind of be ho hum? Well, and they will be competing in that arena with a president who is obviously trying to make the best television show. What do you make of that tweet that he may accept the Republican Nomination for president from the Gettysburg Battlefield or the White House. Both locations likely to violate ethics rules or just some people's moral sense of what's right to politicize. But you know, this is a president that gave an interview to Fox News inside the Lincoln Memorial, gave an interview at Normandy. What do you think happens here? Will certainly Trump isn't worried about offending people sense of what's right or wrong or any kind of norm. Now there are legal questions. Ethical questions about what kind of federal property you can make a convention nominating speech, your acceptance speech on and I'm sure the White House lawyers will be figuring that out. Is there some part of Gettysburg that he could be on? Without violating ethics rules. It's certainly a lot easier for the president to set this up at the White House, but he's clearly looking for the kind of dramatic backdrop not unlike Mount Rushmore that would give his campaign a boost. Quick thought from you, Mara on the fact that it's been primary season. It's primary day today for six states. The focuses on Minnesota, where the Denver Democrat, the representative Ilhan Omar, Is facing a tough challenge. Other progressive candidates have done very well this primary season. What will you be looking for here, right. She's the only member of the squad left with the primary. The four young progressive women of color and she has a really stiff challenge from an attorney named Anton Melton, Mo. He's getting a lot of money. There's been a certain amount of unhappiness with her. They've been attacks on her first for allegedly making anti Semitic statements. We know that the other members of the squad have not had primary challenges. Rashida to leave beat hers back very handily. So that's what we're watching today for the Democrats. Well, how does he do? Right and very briefly. The unemployed have now gone over a week. Without that additional money from the federal government. The president signed those actions and directives to address this. White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow says the money will go out in two weeks. But he doesn't have The power of the purse. Congress does and they're gone. They're out of session. I think everyone's taking a big political risk here for the president to sign these executive orders and then have people not get a bigger unemployment check or still face eviction. I think that that he will be responsible for that and then members of Congress, including the Democrats, they are allowing people to go without thes unemployment checks, which, by the way, have kept the economy going in large part On Then they have stopped negotiating. Good. Not good. Not good. Yeah. NPR national political correspond. Mara Liasson. Thank you. Thank you.

I'm somebody who understands that regardless of what our differences are right as long as we're able to have a conversation, right, we will connect at some level, and so to not have the ability to connect with my classmates, and with the people in my school. Was was quite quite frustrating. And once I was able to do that. Really I, I fell at peace with myself and was able to create a home for myself here and now you're in field where communication is key unnecessary. The girl field of politics which in my research? I read that your father and grandfather were instrumental in introducing new to politics in getting you interested there. How do they do that? Yeah, I mean they were excited about one unique. Of America that was more often talked about. In our way here, and as as we adjusted to life here, and that was the ability to vote and the ability to participate in in this democracy. It's one that they'd worked really hard To have in their lives and one that was denied to them, and so they when it to make sure that they could do that as soon as possible and I was you know one of the children. Who? Kind of glued. Themselves to to that aspect of their aspirations of being an American will. You should stick to it i. tell you that you are now. The first Somali American to be elected into the US House of Representatives and one of the first Muslim women to be elected into the house as well. I grew up. In a pretty white place in most of the people that most of my friends of color also know what it's like to be the only black person in a room with only brown person in a room, it a great honor, but also very stressful it must be what's the most stressful part about that for you, you know. I A. Presley the congresswoman from Massachusetts. said something to me and to Rasheeda and Alex We were having dinner and one of the things she said was encoding I suppose a poet, or you know someone fabulous she always does. that. The greatest agony is being misunderstood. And I think. I am virtually. Taken out of context and misunderstood, everybody wants to put their their own ideas envision for me onto me and to be something for Somalis for the ones that are progressive and the ones that are not for immigrants for refugees for African Diaspora. Who now get the half right? There are also I member of Congress because I'm also the the first person in Congress. who have ever been born in Africa to be visibly. Muslim comes. Comes with a lot of ideas of who you're supposed to be and what you are and what you can do, and so all of that I think sets up a really atrocious environment where you're constantly trying to say like hello, this is who I am. My introduce myself, but never really get the opportunity to because regardless of how you've started a sentence and how you finish, people will hear it their own interpretations for it. And have assumptions about how you came up with whatever sentence you just added. Put assumptions on your thought process make decisions for you because of what you look like, and where you might have been born and all of that, because when you are dealing with someone that is a complete Unicorn, rightly there are, there is no There's no way to say like you know who. This person served the before Maybe this makes sense may be doesn't and so people are constantly trying to say I. Am this and I'm that and and I really don't have the patience. To to try to constantly defend my identity as I defend my policy. This actually blends perfectly my next question with which is basically. How are you like? How do you head? You deal with those frustrations? How do you deal with not having the patience for it? How do you remember who you are when people are trying to get you to be this person and that person like? Are you taking care of yourself at the end of the day? Take care of yourself at the end of the day. Yeah, I mean I think there is something peaceful about existing in a space where you completely know who you are, and what is driving you because they think if you are deprived of.

It happened before it'll Han. Her Dad's covid nineteen, a lot of stuff can happen in a couple of months, but when I sat down with the Ohio, and we talked about a very specific moment, and this moment was when she realized that the America that she dreamed of and the one that she got were very different. So when you're going through the process immigrating to the United States, it's a very long process. There's a lot involved. There's tests lots of days to remember. Lots of facts memorize. And then they showed her a tape of what looked to be an American family having Thanksgiving dinner. You know a table full of food with a beautiful. Check, in or a Turkey happy family around kids who are. Beautifully dressed getting on a brand new school bus. Beautiful homes picket fences the American dream. But when Ilana? America they are roasted Turkeys. We landed in New York City And one of the first things I saw as our car was driving from the airport to the hotel, was people sitting on the side of the streets and little trash everywhere to have that be your first image is is one that's jarring, and it shows a complete contrast to everything. You believe you would witness when you first came. The fact that there were two different Americas is something that she never got over? But is also what planted the seed in her to organize to get involved in politics and do what she could to bridge those two different Americas together. And that friends and family is what Ilhan talked about in that office on Capitol Hill this. Is going through it. I can't imagine. How confusing it must have been to have gotten year and been like this is. They sent me to the like a different planet. I mean I literally said that to my father. This does not look like the American. You'd promised that loss. The. Said, House Child will get. We will get America. And I'm still working on getting to to that America that was on video. What is your earliest memory? My earliest memory it's. It's odd because I don't. I don't really have memories that are colonel logical. And I as I suppose it's because they moved a lot and went through a lot of trauma, but of like my childhood happy memories are around like eating and listening to radio the show. BBC or NPR here and we would listen to it as a family around lunchtime, and at the end right after they did like their programming, they would play songs, and our family was lover of music, and so they would make the males and females often do a lot of the duet songs. Somalis reknowned for a lot of their duets. There's always like a lot of duets are playing on the radio, and so my aunties and uncles and my brothers and My sisters would sort of do that and so that was always fun. To know who could carry tune who couldn't? who had the ability lake Singalong and who? Could and and and. You know we make fun of one another and it was always a very joyous, and then like the neighbors. With symptoms which would come around? We also lived by the by the Marquette. And! There's always a lot of people just stopping bikes. The door was always open. Yeah and the career. What did you know about immigrating to America which he did at the age of twelve, yes. You understand about the move and why you had to leave. So. We were living in a refugee camp, and so what I knew was going to be an opportunity for us to have normalized life. For me in particular was an opportunity to go to school to get an education and It was going to be an opportunity for us to to be safe. And to reorient our future and have path to prosperity. What was the Camp Lang, just like most of the of the refugee camps? I was in a camp in in Mombasa Kenya. So the the one thing that was unique was that in in most camps that US see pictures of now. They're in the desert like setting and ours wasn't really that way was a coastal Mombasa's a coastal city and so there was there was some lush trees at times and and there was like a like a dirty river or something like that that was a pond that was nearby answers, a lot of mosquitoes. People were dying of malaria. And food, related illnesses, and so I. I just I have memories of seen more death in the camp..

Hand Omar came to the US illegally and is now calling to overthrow the current system well. Isn't that just Dandy? You have somebody like that. Somebody in Congress that used our own system, and because there is a large Muslim population in that area Minnesota that she managed to get elected from and set to the House of Representatives in, Washington DC. She thinks she can do whatever the heck she wants. There's there's a again. Her being a part of the squad, each and every member of the squad has an entitlement mentality. Do what I say not what I do. In. Just. Take it. Shut up and take it and that type of environment and and different things like that the they don't want to hear anybody question them. They just want you to shut up and do what they say, not what they do and just go ahead and take whatever crap that they just shout. Don't say a word. Don't try to fight no question. Don't do this or do that and that's not again. That's not the way reality is and Ilhan. Ilhan, Omar is illegal as we all know, and she did marry her brother, which is a violation of the immigration law marrying your own brother. You're not supposed to do that. You know not here. You can do that if you're in a Muslim country or something like that. The laws don't apply, but in the United. States baby, let me tell you you marry your own brother. You marry your own sister and you're related like that brother, sister and sister the brother. Immigration especially. If you're trying to get into this country, immigration is gonNa get you. "Omar calls for dismantling of the US economy and political system. So, I don't know how much you guys know. Ill. Hand over our Democrat from Minnesota She's A. Radical Democrat. She's Muslim radical Democrat. This crazy Marxist lawmaker called for capitalism to be destroyed in the name of social justice well. Isn't that special? Okay, and she goes on to say here in the Article via the Gateway Pundit. As long as our economy and political systems prioritize profit without considering who is profiting, who is being shut out, we will perpetrate this inequality, so we cannot stop at the criminal justice system Il il Han Omar said we must begin to work in dismantling the whole entire system of oppression. Wherever, we find it. then she goes on to say. According to documents and sources previously reported by Investigative Journalists David Steinberg Congressman Omar married her own brother in order to defraud the US immigration, service and factors evidence mounting that Ilhan. Omar isn't even her real name, so she has problems. Folks, it's it's obvious democrat. Elected to the House of Representatives of course, Democrat Ilhan Omar of Minnesota has all kinds of problems and issues. She has a lot of baggage and she likes to point the finger at everyone else in Congress likes to go on a tirade like Ao see alexandrio Casio Cortes Ilhan. Omar is just on the opposite side there in Minnesota and she likes to go to the house when she's in the House chambers and always start on the war path anytime. She's asked a question. Or, she asked a question or somebody asked her a question anytime. She can get to do grandstanding. She does, and that's what she's good at. She has a big mouth, but a very useless useless congresswoman. That has a big mouth. She's doing nothing for the good people of Minnesota. And in my humble personal opinion, she's embarrassing the Muslim establishment by run her mouth, not knowing what she's talking about incompetent and incapable, and hopefully they'll get her out of office. Vote her out of office this November along with Ao. See and the rest of the members of the squad, but let's continue the article here in finish up real quick. L. Han Omar refuses to answer questions about her fraudulent marriage to a brother, and accuses anyone asking her bigotry and Islam Phobia. That's a typical democratic move by the way. your your big at your homosexual. Your your Islamic of Islamaphobia. On and on and on the name calling starts. We can't have a debate about anything worthwhile without. Somebody on the other side of the aisle. The left side of the aisle always complain complaining. You're a big at your homophobe. You're this. You're that you're Islam Phobia. On and on and on. This is how this is part of the problem. They don't want to communicate. They want to be heard, but never be questioned as to their intentions, and so that's where the problem lies. They think that it's like do what I say. "ilhan omar" Discussed on What A Day
"Senator Bernie Sanders formally endorsed presumptive Democratic presidential nominee former vice president Joe Biden on Monday a split screen livestream and joked about the possibility of a chesapeake down. It's a really important endorsement. And the two candidates pledged to work together to craft policy that would help convince Sanders supporters toback by in November yet. And there's still a lot of work to be done on that front in a New York Times interview published earlier in the day congresswoman Alexandria Qazi Cortez possibly sanders most prominent supporter in Congress said that a recent proposal from Biden to lower the Medicare H. Two sixty was quote almost insulting citing the fact that Hillary Clinton was talking about lowering to fifty two thousand sixteen. She said she's looking for more meaningful concessions to really get behind Biden. Though she'd of course support him over trump yesterday. I spoke with Congresswoman Ilhan Omar another sanders backer and progressive in the house. About what more Biden needs to do to earn her support when it comes to our nominee. I of course will support. I also know that it is going to be important for Vice President Biden to really understand that poll after poll people wanted Medicare for all as a policy platform implemented. In in this country. There was a society that they envisioned and that society includes one. That is doing everything that it can. In fighting the climate crisis that is before us in fighting for student that cancellation dream forty five million Americans from the shackles of student debt. And so what I am looking for is a gesture from vice president that he understands that these are the issues that are important to people Although they voted for him every single exhibit full said. These were the issues that were important to that overwhelmingly and if people had the opportunity to relieve really vote on those policies. That is what they would choose so. I think there is an opportunity for him as I say. Every setback is an opportunity for rest and we look forward to the kind of progress that he provides in the shaping of his platform in being inclusive of so many Americans who want a positive change in in their lives. Bomar also mentioned that picking a progressive running mate would be a step in the right direction and no we have lots at stake in this election cycle. And it's going to be really important for there to be an honest conversation on what it will take to energize people across this country so that they are overwhelmingly terming out and turning their families of their friends and people who are associated with them in those key states because Michigan is going to be important. Abbas Alenia is going to be important. Florida is going to be important. These are states that have in overwhelming numbers of Muslim immigrant. Voters most of us are interested in in seeing what the policy agenda that speaks to us is when it comes to Vice President during our conversation we also talked about Next Steps in Congress to address the ongoing public health and economic crises. Omar has many proposals herself in a set to release when this week. That would cancel rent and some mortgage payments looking forward. She has a long list of priorities. In any economic relief package from ensuring that non-citizens G- economic assistance to hazard pay for workers to cancellation of student debt. In the last two weeks over ten million more people have filed for unemployment. Since the last relief bill passed in Congress. I asked Omar if this new reality is making her fellow lawmakers more aggressive about meeting the needs of the American people. Li there is still so much talk about the last package and I think that so many members of Congress are still getting the message out to their constituents about what was included in the last package and not enough people are really spending a lot of energy in talking about what the needs are going forward and so I really am aggressively pushing for the recognition that we still need to do more and building the consensus with my colleagues in an effort to make sure that the next package that we do really doesn't have as many loophole. The problem that we're running into its as you know we have control of the house. Republicans have control of the Senate and we want any kind of package that we put forth to have the consensus of both parties so that the president can sign it and the American people are able to get the belief that they need and that in itself is is very challenging. And so we're going to need is for the public To really call their members of Congress to make them understand the urgency moving a package that is inclusive package. That really speaks to the needs. That people have an a package. That doesn't leave anyone behind. And so I know that as people deal with utility shot off as as small businesses look at the possibility of their businesses collapsing. As so many young people look at their future passing them by. We WanNa make sure that as leaders as members of Congress as the federal government that we are doing everything that we can in sustaining people at the moment but also putting forth and agenda that will help bounce our country and there are a lot of priorities that we've discussed in just a short amount of time here but two other quick ones that are things that people are talking about as well. How does the conversation around the funding of the Postal Service and vote by mail? Fit into the frame of what you're thinking right now. And how you sort of wedge those things in as well in the context that we're talking about I mean it's it's quite dangerous an alarming to hear some of the rhetoric around support and funding for our postal offices when it comes to the administration the President and the Republicans privatizing and creating a for profit system with our postal office released dangerous for all of us. And as our nation really grapples with the reality we may not be safe enough to go to the polls come election day. It's important that we recognize how valuable it's going to be to have a federalized nonpartisan postal system that allows for the the mail in ballots to get into the hands of our citizens and for that process to be without disturbance so that people can have assurance in our democracy can believe in the integrity of our democratic process and really understand that there is going to be accountability and transparency. We've been sounding the alarm in Congress and my hope is that leadership understands the importance of putting the funding for our post offices as a priority and as an issue that needs to be addressed before we are able to negotiate any kind of a package fathers worked at the post office. I myself were the postal office at one point in my life and we lack the understanding truly of how valuable they are and how hard those people work day in and day out and I think it is the paramount that we do everything that we can in providing the resources that they need and furthermore creating the protections that they need to be able to continue to deliver our mail every single day without really putting themselves at risk off contracting and spreading this virus that was congresswoman Ilhan Omar. We talked about a lot of stuff so definitely check out the full interview at Youtube. Dot Com slash crooked media? Yeah and also on the topic vote by mail if we want to make sure election day is safe and accessible for every voter in every state. We need to do something now. One thing you can do is call Congress and tell them to include safe election money in the next Relief Bill. This will go towards vote by mail early voting and making imports in polling location. Safer for everyone to get more information on how to call and what to say checkout votes of America Dot Com Slash. Call and please if this is important to you make those calls. The future of our democracy could depend on.

Whatever taxi cab commission whatever it may be his complaint happened in two thousand sixteen and according to Ilhan Omar herself she got in a cab and some cabdriver accused are being with Isis so she lodged a formal complaint now in that formal complaint? She says her witness and a load of this the witness according to the D._C.. socialites recap of what Ilhan Omar told old told him he put this on his facebook page. The witness to this in the cab was Leyla elme who Ilhan Omar identifies to the socialite as her sister the same guy who identifies no war l. me as the father who is also the father of a motto me again the daily Daily Beast blog will ignore all of this. That's not evidence while promoting a debunked discredited conspiracy theory about collusion now what's fascinating is the Steinberg who authored the peace. They tried to get a hold of the complaint the formal complaint to the commission they sent it back and they redacted the name of the witness in the car folks. Do you believe this. Do you believe this garbage. What's going on right now? It there is a why is Ilhan Omar so desperate to one run away from this story why why not just the bunket why not let them talk to Ahmad Elme and just say the stories that the evidence is overwhelming. Why are they tried to suppress the story with their liberal blogger buddies at the daily beast and we'll simmers? Why are they trying to do that? Why are you so desperate to make this easy to disprove? The evidence is overwhelming whelming the trump team provided what millions of documents to the Muller team thousands of hours of testimony by.

"Political opponents these ways. We're told you remarks than they were coming. Come on come on come on my report Lindsey Graham did there was he blamed the victim right so donald trump has made representative Ilhan Omar a target and if anything happens to her just remember that Senator Lindsey Graham blame the victim. It's her fault for disagreeing with the president in a democracy or an alleged democracy. It's disgusting then you have representative Mark Walker who said though it was brief I struggled he struggled. I struggled with the send her back chant tonight referencing representative Omar her history words and actions reveal her great disdain for both America and Israel that should be our focus not freezing. That's painful to to our friends in the minority communities. I got news for you. All your words are painful to minority communities. Don't pretend like you have friends in minority communities now to be fair to the representative that was actually one of the most outspoken spoken against Donald trump depressing and he's like don't get me wrong. I'm GonNa Smear Omar like he is. Even though you know what Donald Trump said about her is a billion times worse. I don't think you know so I think it will most of the owners have been mischaracterized anyway as they. She's as other now. Republicans are saying Oh. She's anti Semitic anyway so it's what so it's Okay No. She's not anti Semitic. She did not say things like of loyalty tests all that garbage okay and here they are anyway Liz blame the victim I but a maybe we shouldn't have been as bigoted as we were against her but just a tweak just a tweak so <hes>. I want to show you one more video. Hi this is Kevin McCarthy. I mean you can guess when he has to say. Why is it a problem when people chanted but not when the president tweets it the President President clarified very clearly that he did not tell somebody he talked about the love of this country I know we talked to? He clarified inside his tweet. If you want to read the clarification of his tweet you've talked about the love of this country and said if you don't love this country you can leave these lawmakers. Don't lock their country. I didn't say they didn't love their countries. They have all the rights right for the country the same point the president did not name the individually said if you do not like this country you can leave. I didn't get to see the rally but I saw a clip. The president didn't join any chance like that and I think it's really wrong that. You would even challenge president when you look at the first lady he's foreign born as well. The first lady is also super attractive model who he married and she's white like let's just keep it real. She's Christ. I think it's wrong that you challenge. The president is true Kevin McCarthy. When Obama was president right never challenge Sir never respect the office of the president and he said what do you need the affordable care act happy to do it Kevin McCarthy of course now the leader of the Republicans in the House who's number two at the time number three for a while and <hes> and of course every day outrageous these things about Obama every single day now with trump in off so you can't challenge the president like it's outrageous and then his excuses were hilarious? He didn't name the individuals yeah he did. He specifically reference the four war justice democratic congresswoman to leave Omar A._O.. See and Presley. He specifically talked about them well he didn't. He didn't say send them back. Did he said they should leave and he's go back to their <unk> own countries where these things are disastrous etc so he said all those things not look the thing is overwhelming majority of politicians have no courage so if you weren't beholden into trump or you aren't beholden to the donuts center does actually really easy to answer because remember I was Republican growing up. I was a liberal Republican and that actually existed back then it doesn't exist anymore but what that was was people who were not racist or not <hes> against escape people etc who didn't want to control your sex life. It's an or what you're GONNA do with your body but who had conservative economic principles and so it was easy..

"I hope that day comes when he is <hes> you know booted out of office by voters <hes> It'd be great if Pelosi did something about it but okay we have to wait until the election but more importantly if he does turn on them. I would love nothing more. I mean he's done that so many people close to him so many I guarantee you that he thinks mega-guys are losers of policy said that in private right he's he's publicly to he said it on a couple applications very close things that reported to that phraseology right and and if he loses he's got an out and there's GonNa be no outs and he because he thinks I am rich so even though his daddy everything so I am worthy these guys they're just suckers to be used. I've used every other sucker. They're a bunch of losers and he's too stupid and pathological not to say at some point when he gets especially bitter. What I think is so oh interesting though is look I get the questions about the chance but there's so much more emphasis on the chance as opposed to what he said during that rally they're just the brazen lies about these congresswoman especially representative Ilhan Omar so how come none of those reporters asked all right so you you lied about Ilhan Omar's alleged support for Saudi for al-Qaeda but it seems like you support Al Qaeda because you sell weapons to Saudi Arabia and those weapons end up in the hands ends of Al Qaeda? Do you have anything to say about that right. How come they don't ask him those questions? Because first of all the lies that he's telling about people and the fear mongering is what leads to the behavior we're seeing by the voters so instead of cleaning up the. The blood or trying to figure out what you can do about the blood. Let's do something about the gushing wound that is Donald Trump in this case I want to report is next to go do what trump asked him to go to North North Carolina and I don't know how you're GonNa find the people at that rally but s random Republicans. If you have to trump blamed you said it was your fault for chanting centreback and that he didn't encourage you and he tried to move on because he thought you were so wrong. How do you feel about that? You know what I was so wrong. He's right. He's right trump is right. I'm an idiot. You know what he can shoot shoot me on Fifth Avenue. I'd be okay with it is the probable answer so look I mentioned trump providing you know plausible. Deniability because members of Congress Republican members of Congress want to be able to continue supporting him and also argue that he's not really a racist and so one by one you have these despicable people lined up in defense of Donald Trump. I want to start off with Lindsey Graham to other naturalized American citizens that dominantly white crowds chanting fincher back. Here's what I think. The president is playing the nineteen sixty eight love it or leave it. I've said before that if you're Somali written gene wearing the Maga- hat he doesn't WanNa say gee back. You'd probably have dinner at the White House. What does that tell me about the criticism critic Oh okay so if you disagree with trump politically and you happen to be a naturalized citizen then he'd want to send you back now? Let's see if we could use that same logic with a different president if Obama said hey listen if you disagree with me I want to send you back so trump's. Mom is from Scotland. I'm sending him back. We'll gauge or floor jobs in las trump's wife yeah. Oh could you imagine if Obama was like I'm thinking of deporting Malania birtherism. You know why why not yeah sh she disagrees with the president and she didn't put on an Obama hat she didn't put out and Obama had so. I want to send her back. What do you think Lizzie Graham in the Republican reaction would have been oh my can you bomb us being addicted to Oriel? They want to control every lines and go after poor people that are white like the low.

"Let's grow. All right. Over the weekend. Donald Trump tweeted an edited video featuring Ilhan, Omar Representative Ilhan Omar and images or video from nine eleven now. This was all an effort to continue pushing this narrative that Representative Omar is minimizing what happened on nine eleven. Of course, this is nothing more than a political ploy an effort to defame her as a someone who hates America. Which of course is not the case. Now, I'm not gonna show the video I know that there are other programmes on this network that refused to show the video that Trump tweeted because I have no interest in amplifying, his disgusting and false message. But just to give you an idea on Friday. He shared an edited video superimposing. The remarks Ilhan Omar's remarks over images and clips of the two thousand one terrorist attacks that appeared to suggest Omar was dismissing what happened again, she's not dismiss. What happened? Now with that said Representative Omar had already been the target of violent attacks. In fact, one man was arrested because he had called into her office spoke to some staffers and made very specific threats of violence against them. Again, not person has been arrested. But following Trump's tweet, the death threats have increased in fact, she released a statement saying quote since the president's tweet Friday evening, I have experienced an increase in direct threats on my life, many directly referencing or replying to President Trump's videos or or the president's video. So before I go into some other parts of the story. I want you guys to jump in. What are your thoughts? Well, it's it's deliberate. They notion that you could just oppose these images from nine eleven which you know, represent so much and really galvanized people in so many ways, and that you could justaposed them. With this person who you're trying to suggest quite obviously, I would say clunky. But in another way of -ffective Lii is I think it's even worse than what he what? Well, I think it's even worse than suggesting that she didn't speak strongly enough for and I think I think the I think the worst part is he suggesting that people like her are responsible for it. Right. I mean, isn't that really what's going on here? He's trying to galvanize hate against the Muslim community, and she sort of the head of that parade as he sees it. So I think that's the and here's another thing. Just as an aside as a practical matter, you know, congressional people don't have a lot of security around them you. So what happened to Gabby giffords when she was up with her constituency just meeting people in other words, it we think of representatives on politicians on Capitol Hill is being surrounded by security. That's just not the case. And so here she is very recognizable. Right. She doesn't blend into that crowd. And he is singling her out and someone who again. Then I suggest video is making the point that people like her are responsible for nine eleven. They don't share the same pain that other Americans do over this awful terrorist act. Yeah. Yeah. I think. I guess his reasoning doesn't matter too much when what he's trying to do is get a, you know, a woman of color in elected office kill that's what he wants to do. That's the terrible thing figure out. Exactly why he's doing is is interesting. I guess I agree with you that it's not about what she said. I mean, as we'll get into he has said things that minimize nine eleven far worse than anything that. She said he has repeatedly joked about it. He thinks it's funny. Anyway, but they they see her, and they see everything that they don't want to happen to the US. I mean, the reality. There has been a very successful fearmongering campaign in regard to Muslims in America. And that campaign has gone on for far too long. And I think that would Donald Trump is doing here is tapping into that fear regarding Muslims. I mean, would she be treated the same way?.

"The. Minnesota congresswoman Ilhan Omar has become well known for a couple of things being the first woman to wear a hit job on the floor of congress and making off the cuff comments that questioned the US relationship with Israel the backlash over this tweet. And she tweeted, quote, it's all about the Benjamins baby. And it was her response weekend at a Washington DC bookstore. She was trying to defend what she said point out. How labeling her comments as antisemitic can be a distraction in the and nobody rotter? Rotter debate ways happening with politics. And then she slipped up again. In this country that says is okay to push for allegiance afford country. She says allegiance to a foreign country forwards just a couple of seconds of ten minute speech. If this event weren't being streamed on Facebook, we might have never heard these forwards again. Instead here we are. It's about congressman. It'll hunt Omar who has a panoply of Canard of anti semitic ideas to the Democrats a problem with any semitism. She supports enemies of America, and doesn't look herself in the mirror and say my God, if I'm accusing people of dual loyalty where my loyalties. When you saw what was happening with Omar. What did you wanna talk about money talk about the fact that her rhetoric wasn't great? She wasn't tirelessly wrong. Jordan. Weisman is writer here at slate..
