Nifc as it's known, which is the federal Command Center for Wildfire Response. It is in Boise. It's big center where They not only command wildfires, but they make a lot of the policy of how wildfires will be fought and where resources are going to be going to. "Relatively speaking I remember being really disappointed by looking forward because that was like the first CS NY record since deja-vu. Neil young had a great nineties and I think I was expecting it to sound more like a Neil young record from the nineties but like that's another one where. It just sounds kind of weak and a little to sort of adult contemporary why they came in late in the game and basically said, oh. Yeah. I've got these two or three acoustic songs. You can just sorta like stick on it and and so it was really like cs n plus why album I feel like I don't think there was a lot of of collaboration going on there at all. It seems like you know one of the big splits that. Proved to be decisive in the span was they were GonNa do a covers record with Rick Rubin I. Think that was like in two thousand. Ten I think they'd worked on it for a while and like they couldn't get it together mainly because like David Crosby didn't like Rick Rubin Yeah I. Guess He Thought Rick Rubin was like too much of an autocrat to really work with just thought he completely owned every element of the creative process some felt stifled. Was I, know I don't think any of the have you heard any os tracks I don't think any of those tracks ever? No I haven't snuck out. You know like in one respect you're like, oh, a covers record. Okay. I mean that that kind of speaks to artistic bankruptcy right there but it's also like crowds like, Rick Rubin whatever you WanNa say about the guy he has been involved in some. Pretty High Profile comebacks you know and you would think that a Rick Rubin CSM record, it's GonNa get a lot more attention and like live it up or after the storm. Did you know I think that would have given them a pretty good bump but just couldn't get together. But I feel like that's just a precursor to like the big incidents that involved David, crosby that ended up really sort. Of self destructing this band and it just boils down to David crosby talking like interviews right I mean like at least with the Neil Young Daryl Hannah story. It's maybe the pettiest example of the fighting throughout this entire story and the fact that it seems to be like responsible for the longest lasting schism between the mall is blows my mind, right? It's just it David Crosby was giving an interview it was. After Neil divorce, his wife Peggy wife of twenty nine years and he started dating actress, Daryl Hannah and David Crosby September twenty fourteen is giving an interview with the Idaho Statesman and apparently these quotes were supposed to be off the record that's what I later heard..

They also violate the laws of logic and reasonableness in the rest of it. but we can give you the details of that. At some point, we need to get into the fact. That China is is is walking around bar. Jabeen people in the chest and squeezing people's girlfriends butts. China is looking. For a fight. How? Good summary there serve when we thank you. We need to get to that also, and this may be a related story. The US just tested a really cool new weapon. Here's a hint laser beam. I'm listening. So Idaho and there are many fags in Idaho many friends of Armstrong and getty. In shout out to y'all. I'll be back amongst you. SIP and Beers and downtown Boise era. Eagle or any of the fine cities in Idaho my earliest convenience, but anyway They made a mistake in Idaho of not putting up roadblocks to keep Californians out. It's been discussed but they too long and somehow a far-left Democrat got elected mayor of Boise. And this this Gal, Lauren Mcclain told reporters she selected eighteen committee members to come up with a report for recommendations for her first term and the Boise Guardian. Shared the list which is entitled a more equitable city for everyone all right? Yeah I know. It's coming when I hear that I know. Yeah, it's been called Socialist. Wish list by conservatives, which is the vast majority of the people in the state. And it's being pushed. Even as as she tries to exercise good strong stay at home orders, of course as the left is super fond of doing, but the report covers a wide range of issues including free contraception as defined by the CDC. Free Abortion reproductive healthcare. PROVIDING SEX EDUCATION AT PRE K.. Through twelfth grade in the Boise School district, which you know will also include gender education to let those kindergartners know that you think you're a boy, but you're probably girl and your parents might not be teaching you at home, and that is a horror. Right in your your. Your teacher is the person you should listen to, and not your silly silly parents like that Harvard. Professor said we can't have kids only learning from their parents. That would be awful, right? The report also promotes policies that would effectively make boise a sanctuary city, including ending cooperation with US immigrations and Customs Enforcement According to the Idaho Statesman. Dustin hearst of the Idaho Freedom. Foundation said the report would fundamentally transform. Boise was socialist enclave by making the city looked like something like Portland Seattle or San Francisco Berkeley founding sort of way to go. Let me hit you with a couple more. The recommendations also include interrupting quote White Supremacist Culture. Closing juvenile detention centers providing citywide free Internet you know I don't hate that one because the Internet's practically utility these days, and there might be public private. Partnerships we could discuss, but increased by thirty percent, the number of city government leadership positions held by women and people from communities affected by marginalization. So I'm telling you. Boise should put up walls, Makoto walls and make San Francisco. Pay For them to keep out the Kelly Unicorn had signed that said no dogs or Californians. Right exactly. Yup, but you're waited too long, and now you're infected, so the reason I was wearing women's clothes last night. Again, you don't have to explain I. Don't know he's do not use gender. Yes, very controversial you wearing anything underneath that I said no I'm not. The washing machine has been constantly used for several days. Oh I Washington drying and I hadn't been able to do any longer. Now was just out of the completely out. Everything was dirty and so I grabbed one of her sweatshirts Avoi-. an hooded sweatshirt. I didn't want to wear t shirt. One of her t shirt so as at the grocery store yesterday and I said I'll watch. You're wondering why I'm wearing a hooded sweatshirt and she looked at me. Why is this man talking to me I said. Talk to me. I said it's because I'm completely at a laundry. She said I've done that, too. I said I've she said the other day I was down to my backup backup laundry that I was wearing the stuff. You really don't want to have to wear white socks with holes in them or so out of style or way too small or whatever? Hooded sweatshirt is honest to God, one hundred and five degrees outside, but anyway my wife this is ridiculous were out by the The kids were swimming pool thing we got and everything and she said that you're GonNa die, so she got me one of her t shirt. And so then I was wearing one of her and I didn't realize how different a woman's shirt fits own just. Completely different I didn't know that Jack when a girl reaches a certain, her body changes. T, maybe Boise does. Sakes they not realize they were. They fit that differently. Anyway I looked ridiculous to get. It was funnier heck so. Then she. She wanted me to wear to work because she wanted to see. If you guys would say anything and. The minimum I walked through the door. One hundred percent what? Would it look like? Obviously would would be ridiculous. Was it? I mean like a flower butterfly on it, or who see your belly button now? It was one of her. "After over thirty years. The Matthews knew that that finding Janelle wasn't going to be finding her alive but this is more than they thought they would ever get. They finally had their daughter back and good properly lay her to rest now. Canals remains had been found purely by luck or fate. Or whatever you WANNA call it. In July of two thousand nineteen workers attempting to dig and oil pipeline. Flying were the ones to actually find her remains and her remains were not too far deep. It's like in the middle of this field in the middle of nowhere now. They're partially covered in deteriorating clothing. That matched what Geno had been wearing at that Christmas concert the night that she disappeared. Where was this that she was found so it was like this big open fields and it was about eighteen miles south of Greeley according to the Colorado Sun? Oh so pretty close to her home right right so oh finding her was obviously incredible leap forward in this investigation and by September of two thousand nineteen just two months after finding her police would go from from having an absolutely ice cold case to naming publicly a person of interest in September. They named a Mayon that the Matthews family says. They'd never heard of Steve Pinky. Who is this guy? Where did he come from will what we learned from police is is that Steve Panky had put himself right in polices sites but not just after her body was found he had inserted himself into the investigation and within weeks of Geno going missing and according to an article from Fox Denver? Police say that through the years Panky made multiple multiple efforts to recontact police. What was his angle like? Why was he contacting the police at all? So this is where things kind of bonkers. Are you ready for this. So police make take this announcement about Steve being person of interest. And so Steve Does like a fresh tour and gives a couple of videotaped interviews and interviews for imprint as well where he explains why police are looking at him and his connection to the case and they are weird now keep in mind. Police have announced him as a person an interest but he tells the Idaho Statesman that police consider him a suspect so he's only when naming himself suspect now. I think the most informative interview you he did was with Keva. TB It's this fifty one minute long video and we're going to link to that video on our website if you WanNa Watch the whole thing and usually like I give you all the highlights and it's not one hundred percent necessary but I'm going to need you all to go wash this and tell me what you think because there is so much to unpack here. So here is what Steve tells them about how he first made contact with police and why he's on their radar. He says that he never met the Matthews family in his whole life never knew them never knew journal even though they live just minutes away from one another on the night geno went missing. Steve says that he was at home with his then wife consign now again he lived a couple miles away from her so from his front door to her open garage door. It would only have been like a four minute drive or maybe like a a twenty to thirty minute. Walk maybe faster if you're walking fast. So he's he's at his home and without being asked anything about his car. He makes a point to talk talk about how his car is parked in the driveway. And it's just like packed to the brim with stuff. Because they're planning on leaving the next morning to go visit his parents for Christmas. I don't don't like that at all and it actually kind of brings me back to part of the story that we tell them our live show. Like why is the car important Are you telling us it was full because you're trying to put like it it our minds that it couldn't have been used for anything if you're going to spiral on everything he says. This is going to be a four hour episode episode. Like I'm telling you I'm telling you there's a lot of weird stuff in here so he says on that night the twentieth. He's home and the cars packed to the Brim in the driveway and he decides needs to look out of his window to see the snow fall coming down because he said that he was worried that he might not be able to get out if there's too much snow because they just had like this two wheel drive car so he's he's looking out his window and he says that a car which he assumes to be from like the sheriff's Office so I think in some places he says is unmarked. This is car pulls into his property with the lights on and he thinks to himself. Oh another arbitrary charges coming my way. I'm sorry what. Yeah it's so weird thing to think but he says multiple times throughout his interview that he had this like sordid past with Greeley police and all these local law enforcement the agency's for that matter when talking about his troubles with the police he says quote. I have a gay background which really doesn't make sense right away but if you watch the whole video like he talks way later about how he had this relative who was gay and killed in police custody back in the forty s or something so I think he's kind insinuating that police didn't at least like when he was growing up didn't take well to homosexuality and like there. Was this stigma. There was this prejudice. Okay but here's the thing like he didn't have problems with police because of his quote gay background like he puts it. He had assorted history with police because he kept having run INS with the law. So while working as a youth pastor at a local church he was accused of rape and this was back in the seventies and the charges did eventually ended up being dropped but he lost his position in the church over it now in this interview. He tried to explain away in his explanation. To me like doesn't help. It's almost more problematic. He says he was sleeping with this woman. She got pregnant. She went overseas to England had an abortion and then comes back and he says super pissed at her because she did that without asking his permission and he says that once you came back they had sex one more time and then after they had sex he threatens to like go. Tell all the church about her abortion. 'cause they're both very heavily involved in this church so in his mind. He says this is why she accuses me of rape wait a minute. I feel like there is so so much to unpack in just one paragraph no. I'm telling you this interview is crazy. I mean even in this one story. There's some very clear misogyny emotional extortion with like a a touch of hypocrisy but this is an also. In addition to this allegation there were other charges against him for harassment. And according to Steve There were like twenty separate separate incidents where he had run INS with the law and he says most were dropped. A couple went to jury trials and he says that he won every single case. Do you know anything else about the harassment. Charges like is there like a defined victim profile. No so I don't know anything at all I do know again. This is all from his interview. That one of the harassment Rasmus charges. That went to trial was brought by his aunt and she said that he was leaving her harassing phone. Calls and another harassment charge was from a man who Steve Describes as quote. Won't he was a friend of mine. I'll just put it that way so I don't know how to fully like read between the lines here but the point is he's not a squeaky clean do dude. He had some run INS with the law so in his mind when he's looking out this window to see the snowfall and this car that he thinks is like a sheriff's deputy pulls into his driveway. He thinks they're coming for him. Cam which listen background or no background with law enforcement. I think it's a weird thing to think. Like I don't know I haven't been the target of police. Scrutiny yet. Knock on would but like. It's almost Christmas carpools into your driveway and your first thought is that police are coming for you. Yeah like maybe your neighbors bringing cookies over something super innocent or Freeman or someone like took a wrong. Turn and it's like turning around in your driveway but whoever was in the car he says park for a little bit their lights are on the house then then they turn around and leave now when he's telling the story he makes a note again like when he's talking about this car coming in and out of the his property he makes again about how his car's there in his car is packed to the Max now. He says he didn't think any more of the car and went inside then him and his family got up the next morning super early at like three or four in the morning and and left town so he says they drive in silence. There's no radio on so he wouldn't have heard any reports of being missing that night. He says it wasn't until they all returned to Colorado on the twenty six that he first heard nells name on the radio and this when he first learned that she's missing but even then he said it didn't like ring ring any bells for him he just made note of it then the next day on the twenty seventh. He said his father-in-law came over a father-in-law that according to Steve. He is not on speaking terms with at the time. But this father-in-law comes to his house and he decided to speak to him on this day and of all the things he could say he tells him an off the wall story..

I thought for sure you'd say you didn't like I do love it here. I love it because it's so family oriented Middletown. Great place to raise family if I wanted to get eat at good restaurants. I'd back. Oh, you don't think we have any good restaurants around here. Not really. Million. We have really good Italian, buddy. You gotta have to suggest places for me to go. What kind of food? Do you like Betty? Well, you know, what I I feel like the the Asian selections are not as great out here. Yeah. I can solve it agreement unless you go to Chinatown in Manhattan there on the west coast. Yeah. Okay. Benny, thanks for your call. Yeah. I would say that that seafood while we have seafood Asian food Chinese food sushi plus a much richer Asian history. Right. And I I mean, I is it just because it's technically closer to that part of the world immigrants came to California. The the Chinatown in San Francisco is it's so authentic. The architecture is as it seems accurate to me the foods amazing. And you also get like amazing portions for not a lot of money to their fireworks. I didn't see fireworks that. I'm sure fireworks. I works. I know are helping Joe plan his west coast trip. Well, not entirely west coast. Pacific northwest. Yeah. Let's say that that's our I San Francisco call, but we own we know all about Boise. It's got a pinball. Arcade. Seems like Portland's the one big mystery. You know, we haven't had anybody say anything about port, and that's a pretty big city. I'm mean NBA team. They do. Yeah. Robin, pennsylvania. You're on New Jersey one. Oh, one point five. Hi, I just wanted to say if you're in San Francisco, you should definitely do Alcatraz and get a reservation for the last trip of the day. Was that record starting? It's starting to get dusky, and it just gives a whole nother meaning to go Alcatraz. So you're trying to scare me get creepy. Could be it was fun. But you also have that that. I don't know feeling as it gets darker. Somebody's gonna. No, you have if you have that opportunity. Reserve and get the last day. I agree with everyone all the national parks that were mentioned are fabulous. If you can go to the national parks that. All right. All right, Robin. Thanks for your call. "I had lost that I wasn't able to do anymore. Right. When you were doing a college basketball. I was doing college basketball is doing four for the first two years. And I didn't do it after that. And it was like a conversation. I had with somebody who didn't hire me who is a little bit lower down the food chain that I would have cared for like thirty minutes before I went over to do another basketball game which like a two and a half hours before I didn't us well game. So there's never a good time. Like, I actually put that was that's on tightly and fired. Like, I didn't know what you. I know what you're saying the most painful cut I ever had well ever cut was when I I was in the CBA. So I get done playing Oklahoma state ams supposed to play overseas, and it's supposed to have a Israeli passport. I don't get the passport. I come back. And I'm playing the CBA, and I'm going Rory white was my coach and. And Brian gates had coached me in the a league called the US PL. Really nets even been played in that. Yeah. So an USB L when I played had a bunch of NBA players or former NBA players or board line MBA players. So Brian gates have been my coach he was the assistant coach there. And he's like, dude, we need a point guard in Idaho. So I go to Idaho to to sign with the stampede. Do they pay you money or potatoes? They didn't pay me at all. Because I didn't make it through I made through camp. But never to a I got caught. So we had thirteen guys thirteen point guards. When I first got there. And by the end, I was one of the last two standing and we used to every day we go from the hotel to the gym to practice, and we get the Idaho statesman, and we'd opened up we turn the transaction page and there'd be the guys that got cut in the NBA for their respective teams. Like, oh, he's gonna go overseas. Oh, he's going to go the CBA take somebody's job. He's gonna go overseas. And I remember reading a name in their Randy Livingston a new several. Andy Livingston's gonna take somebody's job that I said he'd secure job. Wade. So so so now there's two point guards left, and there's got him Aubrey recent Murray state who is injured so me Dermot mcclinton where the two point guards vying for the starting point guard position, we have an open scrimmage. I play great. I'm playing really good basketball. I I've adjusted well the pro game. And we go to take the team picture. This is two days with today's for the first game. And the assistant goes pulls me oh beside by gates. He's like, hey, my girlfriend's coming from Oklahoma. I had been married. I got married out of college at the time that we've married for a couple months. Hey, do you guys want to share you home with us? I'm like sure I'll call my bet. I'll call my my my wife, and we'll figure it out. And so we take the team picture, and then we're messing around. We're doing interviews. And I looked down at the end of the voluntary the voluntary even basketball for people don't know is the tunnel that leads you to the locker room, and I see a bald headed six three six four, dude. And I was like that's rainy Livingston. Oh, man home. Did you know that right? Then when you saw him did you say like, oh, yeah. I thought I was like seeing a ghost, right? Like, I thought I was like maybe I'm just seeing ghosts. And then all of a sudden he disappeared. And so that night we go and play college of southern Idaho. It's a really good year college program, and he sat in my former head coach actually started. So we go and play them in a scrimmage, and I go from like, I'm I thought it was fighting for a starting point guard spot to I don't take off my sweats. I'm the only guy that doesn't play and I'm like Dale and getting cut right? And they didn't cut me until the next day. Like, he calls me. I did. But I would I do wish I did not go to that game because I felt like your warming up. And then you're the only guy that doesn't play you like man anyway. So I guess I understand these seven AM meetings..

I don't know why we're saying God. And jesus. Swing. He has nothing to do with it. Please keep bowtie untainted. Although can I tell you something my? When I was in the seventh grade. My seventh grade biology teacher was like, hey, I just met Bill Nye at this at this teachers of it, and he asked me out for a beer, and we're like, oh, did you go and she's like, no at all. So now, I'm like, oh, no Bill nine. Oh, no, please. Don't have made anybody uncomfortable. Please be asking for a beer is totally fine. But my whole point is if you keep going. Exactly. And I think he did. But oh, gosh Ono, please, Noah, Bill Nye. I love you. So love you. So that'd be funny now, Mr. Rogers was a serial. Just do it Beyeler intermediate school serves fourth through sixth graders in the small town of filer near twin falls and central southern Idaho. Which it's so hard to try and describe that area because there is central Idaho. There's southern Idaho. I is it in the snake river plain when falls. Yeah. Yeah. So that's that's one way you can describe it. Yeah. We get it. We're from Idaho. We do we gots this, basically if you go straight north from the Utah Nevada line, you'll hit it. If you put two fingers up that looks like. And filer is down where the what is this called? The hand. Crack idaho. Nice of the hand of Idaho hand. But certainly on November twelfth or thirteenth strangely. The district. Superintendent wasn't sure which data it was when he talked to the Idaho statesman funny. Yeah. The gideon's decided to distribute bibles in the school cafeteria with district approval as they have every other year district approval. Yeah. Well, they're they their argument is that will it's after school. So school is not in session. Only kids who want to be there are there. So yeah, it's just like using the the building. But that's not quite as simple as it actually is right. So this time things were a little different than before. Parents and community members complained. Oh, good. We're talking a little town of twenty seven hundred people. About a twin falls, Idaho. Logic would suggest it's probably a bunch of Mormons and everybody else probably Evangelos because we're talking the snake river plain, and no parents were pissed about this good. They should be. It's all day announced it during school for one. Oh, did they power? So the kids give no to stay after school to get free bibles unless they announce it, listen, you just go to the motel eight you open up the drawer. Yes. In the bottom. There was a guy who said a tomato, people very deadly home alone, style traps in his house. He was being sued by his mom for for like elderly abuse, lost the case. So we had to sell his house. They let him out of jail for two weeks, prepare the home for sale in those two weeks. Instead, he just re rigged up in a variety of deathtraps in the house wheelchair that had a shotgun and actually shot a cop. He, he's he put a hot tub on inside that would supposed to roll down a hill, Indiana Jones styling first of all, no one died. But anyway, that was one of the largest lead that's ready for being here in full. So this one seems bad on surface. This one seems very bad but actually have to reading into it. I don't know. It's not as easy to to to to shit on his. It seems to begin with. So yes, I fish and game Commissioner resigns after bragging about killing a family of babboons, he went to Africa and emailed several photos of him in front of a family Boone's parents and children stacked up dead, and people were like, yo, you can't do that, especially if you're the game Commissioner. So he is. He is resigned. My God. Yeah, it seems it seems horrible. Why would you take this guy? Because he taught me about embassy Barbara, so. All right. He's big Asensio pep, maybe? No, no, no, no. I'm going somewhere with this for sure. So actually I read the Florida because the headline is just something you could just go on Twitter me like, fuck this guy, it was all legal that it entirely legally there is game in Africa, that that costs money to hunt dunes are not one of them like you can just drop them and you can do it legally. And that's what he did. He did. It was a beau as well. So when I was reading about this, essentially, the guy is like I didn't do anything wrong, should it seem like he did, but he actually kind of didn't. So they referred to something called ethical hunting in this article, and there's there's more references to it in this report from the Idaho statesman house, like ethical hunting. What the heck is that? Well, yeah, let's not sure that people don't wanna see that. So let me let me pull out some quotes here. So I'm sure what you did was legal. However, legal does not make it right fish and game Commissioner from two thousand seven to two thousand fifteen..
