"Boy what a depressing loss. For Indianapolis here today and what a stunning victory. For the Jacksonville Jaguars, they finish off a horrible season. On his high note, as you can get. Last time we saw the Indianapolis Colts in a regular season game. They were blowing what was calculated as a 97% chance of making the playoffs. A loss that left a lot of people, including the team's owner Jim irsay in disbelief. You know, it was beyond bewilderment. I have experiences and losses in the last half century. You know, it's a really tough loss, but I've never been through anything like that. And since that hard to believe day back in January, the colts made some major changes. In particular, a quarterback. Some relationships aren't meant to last. The one between the colts and Carson Wentz is over after just one year. We have another quarterback all the booth. Ian Matt Ryan has been traded to the colts, everybody. Today, we're joined by Zach keefer from the athletic to look at how the cults have tried to put their devastating collapse behind them. Well, Zack, today we're taking a look at how the cults have responded to the massive disappointment of last season. So let's start this back in time. When the colts acquired Carson Wentz from the eagles in 2021, what did the franchise think they'd get from once at that time? Were the expectations? Yeah, so you got to go back to 2019 to really set the table and just to give you a quick summation. Andrew Luck retired three years ago and it left the team really scrambling that moved on to Jacoby Brissette. They said Philip Rivers, rivers unexpectedly retired, and they needed to fill the spot. And Frank Reich had pushed for the rivers trade. So he had a lot of sway in the building, and he had worked with Carson Wentz in Philadelphia, and this move doesn't get made without Frank Reich's blessing. You know, you move teams, you go through what Carson has gone through and an opportunity like this presents itself. You use it for what it is. It's time to hit the reset button, go back to the basics, the fundamentals, starting at the very beginning. And the thinking was they could get a franchise quarterback who had 5 or 6 years in him. At his peak still. Carson is still relatively young. And that was the swing. It was a swing note out because they gave up a first round pick in the third round pick to Philadelphia. The thinking being that Frank Reich could rehabilitate Carson Wentz, who was already showing signs of some serious regression in Philadelphia. Lesions snatches it out of the air. This just the court draw by Wentz. And they took a chance and they felt like they had a good roster to put around them. They had Jonathan Taylor, Michael Pittman. They had a defense that took the ball away a lot, but it was never a sure thing. And the way Carson Wentz plays football sort of let itself to this unknown entering last season. So with once at quarterback, this team got off to a rough start at one in four last season, but they eventually did get hot and had a 9 7 record heading into their final game on January 9th. Can you remind us of the stakes of their game against the Jaguars and what happened that day on the field in Jacksonville? It's really hard to put it into words if you're not a fan of the Indianapolis colds. If you haven't followed this team. For one, they haven't won in Jacksonville. And Jacksonville is easily the worst franchise in the league over the last 7 or 8 years. They haven't won in Jacksonville since 2014. Wow. You've got the good old boys that are firmly in charge of these places and then like it when a guy with a camera and especially his friends show up to you know just record the legal processes that these guys are supposed to go through when you do something like file a records request it gets them all aflutter an angry and in this case threatening. We haven't even gotten to that part yet. Well i guess there was the part where press h now was attacked by a town selectmen openly on video on. I haven't watched this yet. But i pulled up your channel over on odyssey and youtube and it's just i've got a lot to do during the break so i haven't had a chance to actually vote the video lot. It's but yeah you've you've been through a lot in the last few days and that's what you're talking about here. It's ian matt. And joe from breaking the flaw. That your youtube channel. Joa thank you and also an odyssey. But you said there's been some technical issues with odyssey's some of these videos may not have made it over there yet. A little more time to transfer over. They don't have any money And that's that's the truth. They're struggling. I think this is like they're desperate. And this is probably why the town's acting out in some ways. Well i suspect they would have done the same. And i was recording and My livestream dropped on the first one and then I went outside because people were asking what we were there for. I went outside. I didn't want to disrupt the meeting. And i explained everybody what we're doing there. And then that troll showed up. So i went down and fall the troll and i seen him try to put his chair and sit right in front of Flaws dream and whatever. We just paid it. No mind for the most part. You know what i mean childish. Opposition a tactic. Oh i'm just going to stand in front of the guy with a video camera generally can let boys on that too. And i didn't let him get to me okay. Yeah he's like sticking his camera or phone right in flaws face shaking picture up their picture after picture for like an hour right so whatever. The meeting ended and Obviously i went out there and The the The reporter kmao. It was asking me if i was there for mark and where it was mark. This press has that press. And then now these counties they're starting to get this outside at this point where the townies confront you. You're outside of the meeting. No we're into sites retail. Let's go outside. let's take this outside. Yeah let's take this outside like so many people are we talking about here are involved. Does people inside so you guys are outnumbered then it was just like what have you decide to the bunch of people outside once we got out to because they were aware that we were in town livestream but like the three different channels. You don't mean when we were outside the words we're going back and forth right and like we're they know they know that we know what we're talking about because we're bringing up all these different things about our rights and stuff and they're just like their jaw dropping and then not realizing. Oh yeah we kinda messed with the wrong people And we started getting some towns on our side at this point. Oh okay yeah. Townies actually ended up shaking hands and thanking us and So there was. I would say it was fifty fifty as far as the support amendment that heaters and there was You know all these townies that are like mad at us because we're exercising our rights and we're trying to hold the government accountable and they're acting like boot-lickers and then the chief's son shows up and he calls burst press and then the rest of us out back behind the building. Adding that catanzaro was doing a patent disservice to as members every single day by encouraging resistance against the vaccines she said quote if you're not vaccinated you're playing with your life the life of your family the life of your colleagues and members of the public. She said according to the story here chicago like many other. Large cities is required that city employees get vaccinated against corona virus emphasizing that for public facing employees in particular like police officers and firefighters. Vaccinations protect not only the employees. But people from the community law enforcement officers across the country from san francisco to l. a. to denver have resisted vaccine mandates. And even here in keene at a mandate here in keene. But i had a keen police officer stop a few weeks ago. Bonnie and i were having dinner out on. We're outside because it was a nice day out actually was really nice today too but we were just sitting outside having dinner. At one of the tables on The yasuo jamaican place downtown. Keene comes Jason short the very same officer who was mindless automaton drone threatening people outside of our house wearing a trenchcoat during the raid. Can't you as somebody on. The outside cannot request through core links to get access to a prisoner. The prisoner has to access to ask corey links to reach out to you. So i figured that meant that he had tried to reach out to me and got denied and they just see see see. See me on the denial but it was weird. Because i just happened to have sent him some books literally just a few days before that so it made me think that maybe they rejected. The books turns out. They didn't reject the books he did. Get them and the reason. I know that is because he called me and actually we've got him on the line. I can't attend because they won't my federal handler won't let me out at night. Apparently but you've got your extra dangerous at night. Yeah you guys have been going on the same place. Same time. Friday nights at midnight basically turning into saturday morning and people hang out and do a little drink and maybe and hang out and maybe he's just protecting you because current viruses. We're not going to ask for your permission anymore. And i don't care about your state licensing. Your state permission slips. We're gonna provide medicine the very best way. We know how were highly trained people. We can do this. We can do it without your piece of paper and we're going to do it whether you like it or not. That would be amazingly ballsy if somebody were to do that. To actually stand up against the licensing system. I don't expect many people will take that possession. That's the trump card they're using against the forced into it. Then it would be interesting to see somebody actually make that on the other hand. It would be interesting to see. Maybe some of the liberty reps here in new hampshire put forward some legislation to eliminate medical licensing fantastic. They've done some deregulating of like hair braiding. And and that's good for the hair raiders out there. But you know new hampshire is known for being a place doesn't have as many license like government required licenses as some other states do. We're not new york. We're not massachusetts. Like i've heard i don't know if it's true but i've heard multiple times that if you are like a contractor you home kind of construction contract you don't have to have a license and later the the idea that governed just Prevents us from advancing because of all these restrictions we could be so advanced. We could have cures for everything now. Sure without them. We don't need roads we're going. We don't need roads right. That's right so maybe you know that'd be something I can't do it but if if like a healthcare professional. Maybe some of the people at this protest tomorrow night. Contact some liberty friendly state reps. We've got actual anarchists. Who are in office. Here in new hampshire free staters libertarians. If some of those people would get in touch with state reps the filing period is coming up in september. And then boom there would be no more licensing required for healthcare workers and that would make. That would be an incredible boom for the healthcare industry. You're talking about your experience. You say you've lived in both types of housing in new york city where there are of course privately. Owned buildings in there are also co op owned buildings. And you say that the co-op own buildings have all the same amenities that the privately owned buildings do but they don't have a profit motive in according to what you said and so therefore they're able to have lower rents by as much as a quarter so or fraction of the the ransom you would typically pay in similar privately owned structures that i recap what you said appropriately there. Yeah exactly and what's more i would say. You know how. Milton friedman and others say people vote with their feet. They wants to go So you can find that in these buildings. There's a waiting list for about five ten years sometimes to get in. Almost no one wants to get out and the landlord owned buildings. There's a vacancy rates. Typically in the us around eleven to thirteen percent so clearly There's demand to get in and people choose if they can and and if there were more coop on buildings then people would be happier and have less pay now.
