"All right. So now we are also in nineteen ninety-three. This is the second and last Choirboys, Aka London choir boys album before before they break up and they go away and credit to them as well. They come back and they make a lot of records I mean. They come back and are very, very prolific but. I hated this ban when I came out because they were. So they were you know basically, if you liked heavy metal or hair metal this was the band and it's fitting that they You know I'm picking it as number five because this is the band that said, let's just put almost all of that aside and literally just be the Blues e, the Blues e Band I mean not even blues a hair metal but bluesy also but still coming from this manufactured sort of hair metal world I don't know it's hard to explain I I just rubbed me the wrong way. Right? Right. You know right from the start with seven o'clock time to party or would've called right. and. That album a little bit of what you fan I hated that title to was just very annoying to me. I. I did not want to hear an even blues year version of Cinderella or a blues, your version of of poison and speaking of Cinderella I mean spike on vocals sounds pretty much exactly like Tom for that same inhuman raggedy, very raggedy sort of voice you know Janice. Joplin, you might say as as a predecessor to this whole thing as well. But But yeah. So where this band comes from and their UK band, which is very different I mean there were very few UK bands of any sort of hair metal ilk that ever made it remember what were they called Angels Lit- Little Angel. Wild angels something like that I can't I. I'm forgetting but and there was a print princess taking I think was from there and then even back to the new wave of British heavy metal days you know people started try to hair metal like wrath child in shy and those kinds of bands and Jaguar went light and savage went light but basically hair metal and the UK did not get along but this ban was so sob- Losey and a major label thing and they had a lot of push behind him. Rumor Nigel MOGG was in the ban bass and vocals and he's I think he's a cousin of Phil Mogg. But so where does this band come from This band comes very very directly as you can hear in this song from the Rolling Stones, Matt the, hoople funniest talking to. Pete Pardo. I've been going on a sea of tranquility show a fair bit and we talked about Scott to be few bands where you just try and try and try and you just don't like you're supposed to like Martha. Hoople is kind of one of those I love later Ian Hunter, but Martha hoople not so much So this is coming from a place of actual rolling. Stones. Motte. The hoople faces you know certainly seventy s versions of bases even Rod Stewart's Solo and. Even also in a way this kind of you know, I wanNA throw something later in here because there's a manufactured since to it. So so the the blues easiest most stripper blues that kind of Motley crue ever gets Bon Jovi this records produced by Bob Rock so that that kind doesn't make sense in all this, but it does make sense to the manufactured quote unquote feel of it But yeah, there's there's barrel hosts, piano second track. White. Trash. Blues Right. So. Yeah. This is this is almost like when when you almost take this whole thing too far you end up with choirboys, right? Okay. So that's it. That's it. For this episode I think we covered it pretty pretty well, I wanted to mention a few other examples of bands that are somewhat in here somewhat not kings of the Sun. Little, Caesar Rock city angels remember those guys with the album and a half thing that they put out sea hag faster. PUSSYCAT. XYZ Now some of this like I say there's the crossover. With with the dirty hair metal. But that's it. So So hope you like this one like I. Say it goes with that other episode and it might even go again where maybe when I do the next thing we're gonNA have four that kind of goes with his blues slash metal sort of thing. There you go. I mean if you like this show and want to.

"Okay but yeah. That is the one question that I'm looking forward to. Seeing is whether they do what they do with congeals off season. Because I think if he's on the trading block there's a tiny teams that are interested in for sure. Just kind of wrapping up here looking at this roster. What three positions? Where would you say needs to be addressed during free agency Genesis? This year is starting pitching one. Two and three probably One Yeah for sure. Starting pitching number one I think just because there are so many stars on the market. I mean there aren't a ton of elite starting pitchers but there's guys who you know number three number four so that you could easily Easley signed to two deals. That don't aren't inexcessive thirty or forty million dollars secondarily I think first base is probably Somewhere the Blue Jays could probably shop Talked about him before a brave new themes potentially justice re-signing Justin smoak. I think but those would all be Ideal improvements over letting someone like ready to allies start every day and then Bringing in fielder the Corey dickerson is someone who I mentioned earlier. that would be an ideal fit. There's tons of guys out on the market but I don't think as many that would make an impact as someone like Corey Dickerson so The top three from you. It'd be starting pitching first base and then field corner outfield either left or right field. That was your debut. off-season Preview Lousy Eh. One hundred of the daily have Toronto and bourges nation. Thank you so much again for joining US giving issue version you know how many wins. Do you think the Blue Jays get in the twenty twenty season next up. We're going to be swimming with the fishes Friday we have the marlins episode with with. This drips own. Amateur Astronomers Gather For 'Star Parties'

"For many of us, especially those who live in the eastern half of the United States. Light pollution has taken away much of the night sky. But there are still a few spots far from the city lights and each year, amateur, astronomers gathered there with their telescopes for what they affectionately, call star parties NPR's, Scott Neuman visited one of those parties in northern Pennsylvania, should be dead center. You see it, it's just after midnight. Fred hunter, and Bob kava are looking for 'em. Eleven and open star cluster in the constellation scudo. They're using a method called star hopping. No fancy electronics just estimating angles and distances from known bright stars to find what they're looking for right there. There is concede already there's a Cassiopeia your from the cities and suburbs light pollution has all but washed out, these faint deep sky, objects and amateur. Astronomers fiercely defend the darkness here, white lights are strictly forbidden red headlamps are everywhere. Hunter is a retired school custodian from West Virginia who builds his own scopes. I come to see the different scopes to get ideas to talk to people and then the dark skies is just desert. This is the desert, this is sprinkles on your ice cream here, it is kava is a first timer from Princeton, New Jersey, I'm a chemistry professor, Ian Hunter met by chance at this year's star party after they just happened to set up their telescopes next to each other. The two ended up observing together until the small hours. This is my hobby of doing it for thirty years, or something like that. And I thought I was an extreme amateur strong. I came here, and then I saw all incredible stuff that some of these people show. With I thought I'm not crazy yet chip template is president of the astronaut society of Harrisburg that puts on the annual star party. Yeah. Where we may get one hundred good nights of observing in a year say Arezzo has three hundred good nights. So you have that to deal with, but a good night here is good night as you're gonna find one member of the Harrisburg club. Brock San Cayman is among the most serious amateur astronomers you're likely to find with her fourteen inch reflector she enjoys looking for galaxies and nebulae that most others considered just too difficult. I've always been a science geek, ever since I was a little kid came in also belongs to a citizen science organization called iota, the international tation timing association, they pool observations of the dimming of light that occurs, when an asteroid passes in front of a distant star by measuring that dip in the light, which we do with video, recorders and cameras. You measure that dip and you can actually tell the size of the asteroid recently, she. He and fellow amateurs made similar observations of Pluto, that will help scientists learn more about that planets wispy atmosphere, but most of all at least on this outing to cherry springs came in his just content to be inspired by these rare skies. And you look at 'em fifty one new sue the spirals of the arms of the galaxy. And you'd think wow, you know, our Milky Way galaxies is like that. You know, we're just this little little

"On the internet. This is coast to coast AM with Ian Hunter. So actually. You could easily say that John Greenwell junior has been tangled up in blue project blue book since he first started to try to get government documents back when he was a kid starting at fourteen filling out foia requests, God bless it's it led to a great website the black vault. If you haven't seen it yet. Go see the primary docs, that's what I really love about this research. You see the primary material that you don't you're not just getting a derivative material you can go read the memos at the same time as you're reading his new book, which won't be out until April. The book is called inside the black vault, and he talks a little bit about his relationship with these searches for foyer material, but also goes in and using the very same documents, which the government claims proves its case that there is nothing to these investigations in Roz. As well. The project blue book yada, yada, that you can go look at the very same documents, which the government presents to say see nothing here to look at. And he uses them right back at them to say, see what you're missing that book won't be out until April as I mentioned, but we get a sneak peek at it, and it's only appropriate with this hot new show on history channel project blue book. We'll talk about it next with the author on coast to coast AM, this is he and pundit..

"But board you walk in the empty house it's a different ballgame so uh it was bitter tweet the i'm really glad i know i'm glad you know the between vanson kevin and ian hunter uh you know it all got taking care of and they've been so good source you don't know to my ass and it's uh in a uh negligent homicide case with my uh this minor kid makes it even more complicated and steve moore said that to ran over japan and i'm i got uninvolved in that there's a lawsuit pending an there's all kinds of things to go through sam hope you never ever your lifetime have to experience my friend yeah uh and assist you can't i can't even i can't even verbalize how it is shocking nightmare wise i i didn't even know how to verbalize it's you when i saw you that weekend isn't sure most people didn't quite know the words to say but especially you have legal you know stuff dinner causing it to just keep going and going and not not allow that sorta closure to click in because there's there's this more stuff surrounding you know the worst thing that's ever happened to you it's gotta be difficult did you either something i was wondering you know on a personal level because i get where you are dealing especially that weekend which is just distancing yourself from it and completely investing yourself in your other love and and avoiding that dg take time after the show when you've got home to kind of grieve in real life because i think it a you know it's important as awful as it is to have that experience too.
