Only 2 Ways to Solve Debt Crisis: National Bankruptcy or Productivity
"I see only two ways out of this National bankruptcy or productivity And that's it The idea of a national bankruptcy may seem bizarre because we can't go bankrupt like a chapter 11 because we can print money but folks I ask you this money's in exchange of value right We don't trade refrigerators for chickens right We don't barter You know you may laugh but the hard reality is throughout human history that's how we exchange value through barter You'd exchange your blacksmith services for some farmers eggs or whatever it may be The idea of money Yeah it's been around a while I mean we tobacco leaves her money but the idea of a central currency controlled by a behemoth we know is the Federal Reserve now This is the first time in human history This has been tried on this scale Money's just an article of faith now You ever thought about that I mean it's only paper It doesn't do anything If there was a zombie apocalypse tomorrow and someone said hey I'll give you a $100 for that Last Big Mac on Planet Earth You'd be like what the hell am I going to use a $100 Is that even more It's a piece of paper I use it for fire Pretender We are going bankrupt Our money if we keep going down this trajectory has the potential and the strong potential to be worthless Worthless in the sense that it won't acquire you the decent middle class lifestyle you used to You know again I'll say it like I said in the opening of the show folks if you look and study human history the course of human history has been marked with pillage plunder and poverty It just has We are one of the first countries in the history this rock we live on calling earth called earth That is enabled a middle class lifestyle that resembles that of the filthy rich even a hundred years ago The ways you can communicate the foods you can eat these are things that weren't available to civilizations before the United States set the standard through capitalism and freedom of prosperity matched nowhere else on Planet Earth

As Pride Month prepares to enter its second full week, some advocates say the LGBT community faces an increasingly hostile climate nationwide. Como Steve McCarron takes a look at the numbers and shows some alarming trends. You have likely noticed a lot more rainbow flags flying in communities across the region, with those colorful symbols adorning storefronts and flag poles to celebrate Pride Month. What does Pride Month mean to you? Living out loud, truly my living essence as as I am author sharing Green at Assam, a proud member of the LGBTQ community, tells me the month comes as a big divide builds across the country. National companies like Target and Bud Light facing backlash over the recent pride campaigns. We've seen efforts to ban books and schools and libraries around LGBTQ issues. And just this week, the Human Rights Campaign declared a national state of emergency for LGBTQ people in the U .S., citing more than 75 laws in over a dozen states that target the community. The divisiveness that we see has to do with othering, the right? You're either left or right. You're either LGBTQIA or straight. You're either white or within the minorities, and then that gets clumped in together. That divisiveness and backlash has helped lead to an increase in discrimination against LGBTQ people. This year, GLAAD's annual Accelerating Acceptance Study found a whopping 91 % of non -LGBTQ Americans think LGBTQ people should have the freedom to live their life and not be discriminated against. But LGBTQ Americans reported an 11 % increase in unjust treatment in 2022 compared to the year before, and up 24 % from 2020. Edesom says has become a big problem too. There are many, many factors that play into that. I think that for our community in particular, I think that there's a need and an opportunity to really reframe how the greater global community looks at us. That, she says, can start with important and sometimes difficult conversations. It's truly being able to sit down, meet with someone and find that common ground, that humanness. And hopefully a deeper understanding too. For Edesom, as these flags fly, Pride Month can be a great time to reach it. It's truly love and pride lived out loud. Let's do it. Come on in. "Quinn at national review, put out the first summary of the war game that was played on Wednesday night. The House select committee on the Chinese Communist Party simulated a time on invasion scenario during a two and a half hour war game behind closed doors last night. This week, the SEC sued both Binance and Coinbase. What are your main takeaways about both of these actions? Well, I think that there are a couple of things. One is this is not the end of crypto in the United States. These cases are going to take a very long time to play out in the courts, and so there's a lot of water under those bridges to cover before we get to the result. The second thing is this highlights the importance to engage on the legislative side. There are proposals in Congress and a lot of congressional activity that we are not talking about because we're talking about these two cases. It's important to remember that courts are part of the question of clarifying regulation of crypto in the United States, but they are not the only piece.

Is the Idea Pathogen Infecting Our Society Growing Stronger?
"Do you agree that I was saying, do you think this idea pathogen has infected to such a great state? For example, have they gotten stronger or weaker since you wrote the book diversity delusion? Well, they've gotten much stronger than the George Floyd moment. That was not George Floyd. Hysteria did not come out of nowhere, Charlie. It's growing, and it's been growing for decades, but George Floyd was really a watershed when you had this universal chorus of elite institutions all declaring themselves racist. All promising these preposterous quotas that investment banks were going to be 50 or 30% black by 2025, which is just impossible with any shred of meritocracy when you look at the actual distribution of scores on the business school admissions test or on the GREs or on the SATs. And you had science magazines, the leading journals of scientific research like jama or lancet publishing front page, full spread issues on racism of medicine and science. So it's gotten a lot worse and the pressure has gotten a lot worse to destroy meritocratic standards in favor of diversity.

"Racial Etiquette" and the Fall of Civilization With Heather Mac Donald
"On something you mentioned here, which I think is really smart. Angela codovilla to his great credit, really I think line laid this out in political terms better than almost anybody else back in 2010, 2011. He wrote the book, the ruling class. And he talked about how there's a country class in a ruling class, and this is not going to end well. And so Heather, can you at least give your best hypothesis or your best explanation as to the psychology that is driving the self hatred of our elites? What is their psychological profile? What is their why? I get asked this question all the time. And I can't answer it well. I know. And we're always asked, do they really believe it? All the time. You know, and in a sense, it doesn't matter whether they believe it or not, because what matters is their public pronouncements and the policies that follow on those pronouncements. But I understand the instinct to want to know what's going on in their head because we look around the world and we see some obvious truths that there's males in that there are females that there's criminals and that there's victims. There's innocence and there's guilt. And they don't see that. And so one does wonder are these human beings? What do we have in common? But I think what drives this Charlie overwhelmingly is the issue of race in the United States and the fact that we still have these very large racial disparities when it comes to academic achievement, representation and meritocratic institutions, that's under representing a blacks. And then on the other hand, in the prison population, you have the over representation of blacks. And this country understandably has a lot of guilt about that and there's a lot of discomfort at any explanation for those disparities that is not racism. The elites are unable to look hard on at the pathologies of the inner city culture that give rise to these disparities and bizarrely they would rather blame themselves for phantom racism.

"72 in Seattle. Northwest News Times 635. The number of justifiable homicides in Florida has tripled in the five years since that state introduced its stand your ground law. One recent killing has brought new scrutiny to the measure, though. ABC's Brad Milkey spoke with a Florida attorney ABC News legal contributor Shauna Lloyd. So essentially what happened is we have two neighbors, Ms. Owens and Ms. Lawrence. Ms. Owens' children were playing in a field that was adjacent to Ms. Lawrence's house. As the kids playing, were Ms. Lawrence allegedly took a roller skate through it. One of the minor children hit them in the foot. The children went home and told their mother, who is Ms. Owens. Ms. Owens then went to Ms. Owens' house, knocked on the door to speak with her. Subsequently, she was shot through the closed door by Ms. Lawrence and later died from her injuries. Wait, shot through the closed door, so this was not something they were in the middle of a fight and a gun gets drawn. Not at all, the door had never been opened. Ms. Lawrence shot through the closed door. these two women as neighbors have had an extensive history. We know that this has basically been a Good feud over time. I've got reports that they've called one side or the other. the Either mother, Ms. Owens is called or a shooter is called. Seems to spam back two and a half years of neighbor to neighbor issues. Officers have been called to the site between these two individuals previously. So then Donna, why did it take so long to arrest this person? I mean, we're talking days and days before this person was arrested. What happened? So what happened is the Florida Stand Your Ground law is now a little different. In 2017, they changed So it. the burden is not on the person claiming the defense, it's actually on the prosecutors. The prosecutors and the police actually have to rule out self defense before they can actually subsequently charge the person with the actual crime. Cameras were the final nail to say that it did not show anything or any action that Ms. Owens did that would give the shooter the idea that her life was being threatened. So here the police had to do a lot of legwork. They actually had to make the determination that none of these altercations could have actually felt like she was in danger. Can we talk about race here, Shauna? Because the woman who was killed is black, the woman the who trigger pulled is white. Like you said, there had been confrontations between them before. Does that play a factor in these sorts of and investigations sort of in how this law is often applied? Race always plays factor a because we have to remember that regardless of how you feel personally, everyone sees everyone else through lens a of their eyes, which is going to give a racial impact. So whether it was that this particular neighbor felt more because endangered she was a black woman, that is definitely something that is going to be into looked by law enforcement. If she had had the same situation with a person of Caucasian descent, would she have felt the same way? Now, the law doesn't account for that. And that's part of why sensitivity training, that's why diversity and inclusion is so important because the law can't account for that portion what's of happening in her brain. ABC News legal contributor Shauna Lloyd speaking there with Brad Milkey in Texas, section a of a beach walkway deck collapsed today at a surfside beach south of Houston. More from ABC's Michelle Franzen. In Texas, the collapse of an elevated wooden walkway happened at Stallman Park and Surfside Thursday afternoon as a large summer camp group was gathering at the event center. You guys can actually buy your copy and you should, and there's so much to discuss. Heather, welcome back to the program. Thank you so much for having me, Charlie. I appreciate it. So Heather, the introduction caught my attention. A cultural revolution. Boy, does that feel like something of Maoist variety? What do you mean by a cultural revolution? Have we lived through a slow motion revolution to changing of norms and customs? We certainly are. We are, we are tearing down all our norms and customs that support law abiding, a high achieving effort, self control, in favor of a lie, which is that America is systemically racist. We are jeopardizing scientific progress by saying that the race of science, scientists and a research lab matter more than their scientific competence. We are we are impugning the extraordinary traditions of western art, whether it's classical music or painting or theater because the performers in the past or the composers were white because they were European, get over it. We are also tearing down our public safety. We are deciding not to enforce the law because doing so inevitably has a disparate impact on black criminals. And so our prosecutors are police chiefs, our judges and our democratic politicians have all decided that they would rather not enforce the law and allow our streets to descend into anarchy than to enforce the law in a neutral color blind fashion and have a disparate impact on blacks.

I want everyone to Google my pronoun is legion and share it because it is vitally important. Talk us through this article so that people can begin to understand what you're getting at. It is so important, folks. Listen up. Okay, transgenderism is on one level, a mental illness. You don't think your body matches your soul. That's really messed up. That's terrible. If that's really true. People who feel that way need help. They don't need help carving up their bodies to match what's going on in their heads. I thought of this better for yesterday. If you had a Macintosh computer, but your software was all for a PC. Would you take a screwdriver and a soldering gun and try to change your Mac into a PC so that it matched the software. Or might you decide that it was the software that needed some work? Well, that's the perfect metaphor for transgenderism. The software, what's going on in your head doesn't match the hardware, what's going on in your pants? Which is easier to change, which is less expensive, less damaging, less destructive. Well, it would be to change your thoughts. But in fact, it's illegal to do that. In California, you can lose your medical license for counseling someone who's transgender that they shouldn't have the operation.

Larry Elder Shares His Takeaways From the Recent Education Numbers
"When you look at the numbers that we recently got on the education front, and we learned that American students fell so significantly behind during those lockdowns and shutdowns and schools, there weren't in action. What we also learned was that so many students in very poor areas, minority areas, areas that were run by Democrats, they fared much worse than the rest of the country. Is there a takeaway there that people should remember? Absolutely. And again, you look at a place like Baltimore, a Baltimore is where Freddie gray died in police custody a few years ago. The number one and number two people running the police department were black. The people who are in charge of both the county and the city public schools were black. The mayor black, 6 of the officers, three of the 6 officers who were charged were black. The state attorney who blocked the charges against the officers was black. A judge before whom two of the officers tried their cases with black, by the way, he found them not guilty. City council all democratic majority black. The U.S. attorney at the time, Loretta lynch was black. The president at the time with black Barack Obama. And we're talking about systemic racism. I'm reminded of the joke that Wanda Sykes once said, how are you going to complain about the man when you are the man? And you're finding this over and over again and in Baltimore, 13, I'm not making this up, Trish, 13 public high schools involved in the inner city, 0% of the kids are math proficient. And another half a dozen were only 1% of the kids are Mac proficient. That's almost half of all the public high schools in Baltimore were either 0% of the kids or math proficient or only 1% bar. This is absolutely horrific.

Are All Banks Safe? Citizen Kane Weighs In
"About the bailouts a little bit because there's some weird stuff going on. Janet Yellen was in the Senate yesterday and she flatly refused to say that every bank in America is protected in the way that Silicon Valley bank is, meaning that deposits above 250,000 would be covered. Now, here's a little caveat, and I made sure to put this headline on CFP earlier in the week. In our history, since the FDIC was created, every single bank that has failed, depositors got a hundred cents on the dollar for uninsured deposits in every single case except for indie Mac. Any Mac failed in 2009, I think, along with Washington mutual and several of the others, and any so my point is, it's been a standard thing that we handle uninsured deposits. But SV bank is an outlier because 97% of their deposits were uninsured, right? And so banks generally are not that way. So, and I'll tell you one other thing that gave me some pause on this is, I feel like, look, if they don't bail out, if they don't generally take care of uninsured depositors, two things are going to happen. One when the maga bank fails, we know they're not going to take care of them, right? And number two, that it causes at a cause is all wealthy individuals in all corporations to leave regional banks, right? If you put a $1 million in a regional bank and it's essentially an unsecured loan to that bank above the two 50 limit, why would you do that? That's going to be second tier. If you can go into any of the two big to fail banks when you're in a deposit is absolutely safe. So it sort of creates this moral hazard. And I think that's what we've been, you know, I've had CNBC on all week and I'm a former trader and investment banker and I love this stuff and that's what the street is trying to figure out is are all banks safe, you

Mac McClung soars to slam dunk title at All-Star Saturday
"Mac mcclung was in the G league at the start of the week, jumped all the way up to become the NBA slam dunk champion as part of the annual skills competition in Salt Lake City. Mcclung signed to a two way contract by the 76ers on Tuesday, scored a perfect 50 on three of its four dunks, including the two in the final against the pelicans trade Murphy the third. It's really a blur to be honest with you. I think probably a lot of stuff's happening on the Internet and everything I haven't checked, but really just grateful. I had a lot of help. A much more established player, the blazers Damian Lillard won the three point shooting competition over a pair of pacers, buddy healed in tyrese Halliburton. I'm Tom mariam.

"More about Blake's cheesy adventure. My wife's comment was, why don't you make this more often? That counts as a win. Yes. Yeah, we'll take that. Now, interestingly, both of these recipes call for elbow macaroni. And I have to say, I don't like album macaroni. And here's my beef with elbow macaroni. It never has the ridges. If they could just create elbow macaroni that has the dam bridges on it, I'd be at least paying attention. But you have these little wet squiggles of textureless goo. And there's like, there's nothing going on. There's no surface detail. Yeah, I think next time I'd probably try to use a good cavatappi that has the ridges. Yeah. Tell me, what about other aspects of Mac and cheese making? Did you feel a little bit more empowered were you skeptical about the mustard powder? Definitely was not skeptical of the mustard powder. I thought that was a very good idea and a good addition. I like some fresh ground pepper on my Mac and cheese, so I added that again, but I thought the seasoning was spot on and it definitely had a sharpness. I think it was probably the fontina. Just gave it a really, really sharp cheesy taste to it. You know, it's interesting. And I'm curious for your take on this Maggie because you interact with recipes all the time and have to kind of parse out what the ingredients truly mean. What's interesting about these cheeses is we've got medium Cheddar. We've got muenster cheese and then we've got a very modest amount of fontina relative to the others. And both fontina and Cheddar are two cheeses that have superlative examples of. So you can have a Cheddar that's like all over the road in terms of the level of quality. Same thing with fontina, like there's very kind of soft sort of waxy fontina. And then there's kind of like really proper, more like Alpine style fontina. Muenster, I feel like it's just Munster. Is that fair, Maggie? Have you ever seen like an artisanal Munster cheese? Does such a thing exist? I don't think so, though. I mean, I'd love to hear about it if there is. But you know, it's that milky sort of sweet flavor that you need to tie those other cheeses together. Yeah, it's like a texture thing, you know, that's the one that just wants to melt and it's just there to party too. And Maggie, right now, at this moment, do you have mustard powder in your spice cabinet? I actually have two different kinds of mustard powders. What do you have? Coleman's and what else? I have Coleman's and I have ten brand. They're a small mustard company, and I thought I was buying like a liquid mustard mustard, but they make a dry mustard blend as well. And so I ended up with that somehow. I love having it around just to add a pinch somewhere where you don't want more liquid in something. You know, it's just like such a punch of flavor without adjusting the liquid of whatever your sauce or your rub or whatever. Yeah, like in a dry rub, mustard powder is incredible. Because it adds like a different form of almost heat, like almost depth, almost umami. It does some funny things. And Blake, you mentioned black pepper over your Mac and cheese. I mean, you know, as like a visual touch, it makes perfect sense. Thanks to Bon Appetit. I have a unicorn pepper grinder and stop. 'cause the system works. I learned that they're the best and I hope it lasts the rest of my life 'cause I will never use another one. It's the best thing ever. I mean, that thing basically sprays it out. I mean, there's nothing comparable. I've never used a pepper grinder that's even close to the same as that. Final thoughts on Mac and cheese, life, cooking in general. I'm excited to make Maggie's recipe. I really enjoyed making this one, and I'm definitely gonna make it again, potentially even start adding things adding some protein to it or maybe even see if I could add breadcrumbs to the top of this, and I don't know. Just playing around. That's what I was going for was just getting a good base Mac and cheese, and I'm thankful that you guys provided that for me. Oh, that's great. Well, I do hope you try the other recipe. When you do just really be mindful of cooking out that bechamel, really pay attention to that seasoning. Because you've seen how much cheese you were able to put in with a pound of pasta and a decent amount of liquid and stuff. So that kind of at least gives you a bit of a barometer for gauging Mac and cheese recipes and kind of knowing, oh, well, if a recipe is 85% bechamel and there's only a modicum of cheese in there. Chances are you've sacrificed some flavor there. And if it's under seasoned, it's going to give you some more of that just like indeterminate cardboard kind of flavor. So I just want to say Blake, it's been a total joy to have you on. I wish you all the best on your Mac and cheese journey. And ultimately for you to make it yours. Yeah, thank you. Thanks, Blake. So Maggie and I helped empower Blake to make a delicious Mac and cheese in his own kitchen. But if you thought

"Great things about Mac and cheese and brings them all together in one. I mean, I think this is the one wrote a balloons are favorite Mac and cheese really does it for me. And I think it's a really good place to start even if you're looking to then start riffing a little bit. It has a very flavorful sauce because you start by toasting breadcrumbs which are going to be at the top and there's some Parmesan in those. Then the sauce itself isn't just creamy milky flour, bechamel. You add in your milk and then you also add a little bit of salt and mustard powder, which is something that even if you can't find it near you, you can mail order. It's shelf stable. It's all the flavor of mustard in a drive format. And that mustard, that's what you need for the cheese to sort of pop. So that's really the key. And then she also adds white pepper. And I think the white pepper in part was just so you didn't have like lots of black flecks in your white sauce. But white pepper also has a ton of flavor, especially if you buy one like from burlap and barrel. Those are really flavorful of peppercorns. And so you have a lot of bang for your buck there. And I have one tip I think is really crucial for whatever Mac and cheese you're making is that you don't want your timing of the bechamel to be dependent on the pasta. So you're gonna make your bechamel just until it's done. You want your pasta to be already cooked so that you don't keep cooking down your bachelor until it's thicker and thicker until it's like sludgy. You really want as soon as the bechamel is ready and it coats the back of the spoon. You add in your pasta. Amazing. Now Blake, stay with me here. So when you were going deep on Mac and cheese, we lost you for a few minutes to this ASMR kind of like fantasy world of talking about the sound that the pasta makes once it's been introduced to the sauce as it kind of slaps and slurps its way around the pot that gooey sound. That to me tells you the texture's right. I loved that. I will talk about that to the end of my days, but I'm going to share my recipe. And this is from Rick Martinez. This is called stove top Mac and cheese. The reason why I wanted to do this recipe and not a baked style of Mac and cheese because I had a feeling Maggie was going to go baked, just had a sneaky suspicion. And when I thought about the sound that this Mac and cheese was going to create, I was like, if there's one person in the world who's going to understand this recipe because of the way it sounds, it's Blake. And part of the reason for that is this recipe does not use bechamel. This recipe uses milk and cream. It uses mustard powder and Cayenne powder, interestingly, it uses a combination of a corn starch slurry to thicken the sauce and it uses cream cheese. And we're not talking about fancy deli cream cheese. We're talking about good old fashioned 8 ounce bar of Philadelphia. That has a lot of stabilizers in it, which is going to add quite a bit of stability thickness and richness and a little bit of brightness to the Mac and cheese. And it's at least going to take you out of the bechamel paradigm in terms of how to create great Mac and cheese. Also, seasoning is key. This uses a combination of medium sharp Cheddar with Munster, which is kind of like an easy melting cheese. Anyway, two recipes two very different approaches. Ultimately two really good Mac and cheeses from two really good chefs for sure. I love the mustard powder. I never would have thought of that, I guess, to put mustard powder in there to bring out that flavor. It's probably a matter of yeah, I am probably under seasoning my cheese sauce. Any other words of wisdom Maggie, what did you learn and revisiting Mac and cheese this past week? You know, it's a great dish and it's flexible. And so I think also with either of these, whichever you choose, I think you can make them following the recipe the first time, taste them as you go. And then you can stir in your barbecue. You can add your Frank's red hot. It's a great backdrop for so many foods. I think you can't go wrong. Love it. Well, listen, I think your main goal here is to have it not taste like cardboard. So the bar is kind of low on this one, which frankly helps us a lot. But if it tastes amazing, how much better would that be? I'm

'When Race Trumps Merit' With Heather Mac Donald
"The rules are really hard to follow. So if 5 white people kill a white person, is that also racism then, basically, are they using racism as a filler term for just being awful? Is that basically now the new filler term? No, it has to be against the black victim, but if we now learn that blacks could be according to van Jones and other activists, if something bad happens to a black person, that's racism will then maybe we can also say that the black on black violence is racist. Maybe that will get the attention of the Black Lives Matter activists because this parallel narrative, of course, that was not dislodged for one second by this incident, which is that the police are the greatest threats to blacks. We heard Biden echoing this both before and after the videos of the Memphis feeding were released that this just shows the trauma that blacks and grief and harm and sorrow and pain and suffering they put up with every day, Biden would be right in saying that if he was referring to black on black killings, there's several dozen blacks who were killed in homicides. Every single day, that's more than all white and Hispanic homicide victims combined, even though blacks are only 13% of the population and they're being killed not by the police, not by whites, but by other blacks. So, you know, that's the problem, police are not the problem. Police are the solution. Yes. But this is not going to change that narrative either. And we have, as we're already seeing this massive overcorrection of Memphis disbanding the anti crime unit, the scorpion unit that these officers were from, rather than looking at training rather than looking at hiring standards, were once again saying, oh, it's something systemic about policing that's to blame and, of course, the real systemic issue for most people on the left, including Biden is race.

"Well what the ravens you like. Most of the time lamar is gonna keep that himself like. They don't need the most times. I don't really have that ball off all that often but with the forty niners. Were he most like you got some were four three speed who might not need blockers in front of him to go. Get ten routine yard gain. Which makes it so hard on the defense. Because it will. If i commit to trae lance while i got someone with legitimate olympic speed running out the open by committed to where he most. I'll know here's trae. Lance with a trent williams and alex mack running in front of him and now my linebackers again pummeled by just three behemoths. One of which has a ball hand. So you know this is stuff. That's like even different. From what kyle shanahan have it robert griffin. Because we're rubber griffin back in the best. Not something you want. Running between the tackles but physically trae someone that can handle bat. So you're playing a lot of stress on the defense not just like schematically but physically like what those players can do. It's just such a hard thing to do and then we'll see. Rpo game evolve upon them. They already have the devastating play action series stuff. So i mean once trained really gets up to speed with how the nfl game is played like that offense. Even if it's not always most officiant passing offense as he learns that the run game is going to be on believably fun to watch us again going unless you're a nfl linebacker. In which case it is going to be your waking nightmare at all hours Trae let's a huge. I feel like it was used. It's been useful to to see him with like around actual. Nfl players as opposed to. I don't know the south dakota state jackrabbits whoever because he looked gigantic against them but he looks gigantic with you. Know in the preseason and watching him charles and thinking about that run game. I was thinking about cam. Newton using other quarterback who you could have running power and i kind of tossing around the idea. Well how many like. How much do you want. Trade to be. Subject to the sort of hit set cam took running some of those concepts. But i think it's fine because frankly of kyle shanahan. And and what how many elements there are two in addition to trae lance like you talked about moster who this was his first time. Back in the preseason. He wasn't in weeks one and two. And i wonder if that also well now that's probably did the run stuff. Justed mindful at my my defensive coordinator honestly like that quarter added an hour of work to every defensive coaches workload and Yes so like the creativity of the run. The run game. That was already devastating with jira. Garoppolo i don't think people understand that like i. Just it's a nightmare. It's a nightmare. So i think maybe the starts off is like an eighty twenty split between jimmy. And i think maybe by like week four assuming lance is not making bad decisions even if the accuracy is still coming along down basis. I feel like the ratio begins to flip. Yeah and i. You know our buddy steven release. He rosalie issue today. Like could this even mirror. What happened with alex. Smith and colin kaepernick. Back in the day. Where you know. It's not a bad team but maybe as neela most more diaz on offense. I'm not gonna. You predict injury. Virginia or anything. But i you know we know that dynamic that trae has that jimmy dozen and i just want to see how long kyle is going to be able to help himself from putting down the field full time just a wrap this up like i've already seen the like is kyle discount regret taking trae over mac already take and no but also god damn. It's week three preseason like what are we going people. What are we doing. And i just might. It could totally you know if mack jones is the next. Tom brady and trays agar's he never improves. Maybe but i'm i'm i am opting out of that discussion. All right one less recall ronco before we get to dink's because decent ducks. I wanna talk about all the really really big pieces of nfl news. Actually i didn't ask you about this. I i'm just as straight up. Did the broncos make the right call in going with teddy bridgewater. Yeah i think they did but like i. I also have kind of like a i. Guess a nihilistic point of view on this. I'll say that i think that vic fangio deftly made the best decision for himself based on things that he said he said about drew lock in the past not always most flattering guy. He'll he'll tell like you see it. And i think vic fangio made the best move for him because of that defense is loaded Like they have so much talent ashley in the secondary Von miller looks great. Bali shabas back. So they're going to be able to stop some people the one thing that they don't want turnovers and i guess like know turns them all over himself like a little bit. But it's not it doesn't just it just doesn't seem like as crazy as ways electoral apple turnover or you know putting the ball and dangerous much as drew rockwell because jerusalem trusses arm. Then i he's throw the ball downfield which is going to open up more of opportunities for turnovers but teddy's gonna take a little bit more conservative proton and to be fair to teddy like at thought. He had a really really strong. Preseason is in seattle was great fishing football throwing the bottom of basically everything you wanna see. So i guess i'll go with right. Move for taking teddy over drew but like you still got mahomes twice a year. You still got justin herbert twice. That's i think where this gets a little tricky. Because it's it's interesting. Charles will look at these decisions through the lens of the coaches. I think bill belichick did what's best for the organization in the long term. And i think potentially to win now i think many did what's best for knowing i think I think shanahan did what he thought was best to win as we have discussed and i think did too but i'm not sure it's what's best for the organization long-term because there is an want to hear me say because i think i think teddy gives you a better chance of winning games. I think is a really really good football team. I teddy played really well in the preseason and get to that a second but you know withdrew lock. You have the high variance option where it's like. Hey maybe this guy makes graphic josh allen taif leap and suddenly we can actually compete with the chiefs in the chargers of the world or maybe he sucks in batang can get quarterback were and it's like there is a case to be made for that. I think that is a pretty remote possibility though that drew lock makes that leap a. So i respect not like play rolling the dice there. Even if teddy has the lower hypothetical ceiling.

"About sports. Well one of the things. I said in in bethel tate was that it wasn't coming from the classroom. It was coming from all their extracurricular activities right so that was the ones that were fact. We've had a couple of football teams shutdown. I mean one of the lebanon moms last night. Who did speak in favor of the mass mandate you know started talking about how seniors you know a year and a half ago lost everything. Sport joss prom lost graduation and her argument. Was you know why risk that happening again. Why don't you just the prove the mass mandate in this way we can have all those activities like we did in this year. Yeah with proper precautions. What are the kids saying to bobbers that i've talked with. They're like yeah let's mascot we not partaking all of these things and it's the parents who are taking over by my my kids don't care what my kids are different. Rather be fragment if you're a senior and you know you can have all the senior activities you know that kids have to wear masks school. I was running there. Okay with i was watching the What's inside edition. And they showed this girl that is my youngest age in the hospital. She couldn't breathe. She had a mask on and this vest on her. That was shaking her so it would keep things lucid or he couldn't even breathe and they were showing that last night. And my for god's sake because it starts hitting your. Do you have kids. Who aren't sitting your kids. You're like okay. Just put the mask on. For god's sake and the you can sit there and throw all the links in the stats at me. Whatever but see one kid like yeah. That's it just put the mask now. The people who argue against the vassal against the vaccine mandates will tell you right now that the numbers they have seen cornell. There are three kids in this area in the hospital. With covert right now right only three. Well i'm not gonna roll the dice right on my kids. Being one of the lucky chosen ones again. They aren't just now starting to even pretty much. Donovan told kentucky hospitals have more covert patients right now than they've ever had yup. Yesterday we had the the occasion for a while where you see medical center. They were telling Ems as departments around the area not to bring patients to their emergency room right unless they were like a trauma. One case burn victim or stroke victim. Anybody else take them somewhere else. Another hospital because they were so jammed and and part of that issue is is the staffing. They don't have the staffing. They need to care for all the people who are coming in right. Gosh hospitals any of those elective surgeries right. Few needed a hip replacement or something like that. That's not happening. Very other failures. Meets lucky he got in for his right now. They say that they are still doing those things. But you have to wonder how much longer all like i said we talked about. Kentucky governor basically declared an emergency went to fema the federal government some extra staffing in to help some of these hospitals and right so jammed right now. Yeah and eventually. He's going to have to make a tough decision. That's going to stir everybody. Well i mean in in kentucky. It's not up to the governor anymore. Oh yeah the legislature is taken that out of his control so if anything comes down in terms of you know anymore mandates or whatever it's going to have to come from the legislature and that's not the bay passed the bill that said that The you know any issue. "You can rearrange things where maybe you don't ever use tags like i don't use tags and so i have the edit tags button Gone from there. You can rearrange what goes where and it's it's pretty handy And i think it's something that you should spend some time and even if you turn on these other things like the path bar Will you can add a little path. Drop down there if you want it. Because apple is hiding the proxy icons and big sur. See you have some flexibility with what goes there at the top And you can like in male. Say i want icons and text or just icons. Some of the icons are a little confusing. Like some of the grouping icons aren't some it's not super clear so maybe start out with icon attacks. If you really change things up and then go back to just icons once you feel comfortable with where everything is. Let's just put a pin in proxy on because once they release monterey. I have more to say. But i don't wanna get too excited until it's out of beta okay. But i have thoughts. I have thoughts on those proxy icons anyway one that i think you need to think about is they turned on by default. All of the cloud sync settings and I know a lot of people that are not that comfortable with cloud. Don't trust it Stephen uses dropbox for most of his big in sinking for instance and I think that you should have on your mobile viable mac list. You know checking with cloud and decide what you want to sink like. Do you really want it to sink your desktop files or how far down that rabbit hole you wanna go on that is managed in the cloud Icon of the system preferences and some of those are surfaced in setup assistant so we were talking earlier about migrating to a new mac for how long like the sink of my desktop. a documents. thi- cloud that has been checked by default. And i definitely don't want that the way that he's my computers and so the spent some time in there. I think one thing that's a little bit. Tricky about the cloud system preference pane in particular. Is that You don't necessarily kind of pay attention to it. But there's an options button next to high cloud drive next to fund my mac and in there you can really fine tune what you allow sync with cloud drive and that's where the desktop and documents setting is if you enable that and you put a folder on your desktop on your i'm ac. It'll show up on the desktop of your mac pro if you have this turned on both places and some people want people who use it. It's not for me personally but You do have some flexibility on whether that's on or off. Yeah so and everybody. That podcast. That i've ever listened. Said says don't do that. That's crazy you're asking for trouble. Two years ago. I turned it on and i've been running it for two years. I have. i had any problem. You were telling me that what happened was that you'll be together and then and then the the show would be over and then you would talk but it wouldn't be much talking during the actual show. Yeah there's usually a preamble and post so inference. So so what's funny about that. Is you could face time before and after sure you but i guess there is a thing of just wanting to know the person's at the exact same point you can take breaks together feel connected her popcorn or you talk about your outfits with the dressing up. We didn't get up to that point. all right. the next the next feature wanna talk about that was that they showed off at. Www there's actually the last one for things that they that were talked about the event universal control. This thing is kind of magic. There's a point in my life where this would have been just like so useful to me. Made me a little bit less so now but This is the ability to move across a variety of devices and screens. To essentially move your cursor. There used to be a name for this. There was a thing called sidecar and but that was exclusive to ipad. Anyway the point being is. I could be starting a project on an ipad. No station and then. I bring the ipad where mac book is and just drag components. Like first of all have might cursor populate the device the ipad my cursor from the macbook jump over onto the ipad and then drag elements from the ipad from the project onto the macbook seamlessly without any menu system. Prompt like just boom So they're they're calling it universal control and it doesn't stop there. It's even between max so in the demonstration net federica did he then also pulled components to Into final cut pro. Which was running on the i mac from the mac book. "And then when things opened up insured and moved them and then we look down again. So my i mac pro is still at home and staying there for the facetious future. In case i can't make it to the studio. So when i'm talking to you on now is my intel mac mini when the m one. Max came out. I bought a mac book pro to replace my previous mac pro. The i'd had for like five years or something. I have the twenty sixteen the very first butterfly keyboard macbook pro. Ou okay mic. Because i didn't use it very much. I use it like a handful of times a year. But when i had no choice but to have a mac with me because i was on the road and recording a lot of right so the moment my kind of up is is peculiar so i have a lap. My is my main working machine. It's where i'm doing everything. Other than recording and editing shows so all of my other work of which there is a lot like running two businesses now basically I'm doing all of that on my macbook pro all my preparation for shows and that kind of stuff that mac pro typically will be Plugged into a darkened monnet or that kind of stuff. And i went to studio and i bring home with me in case there's any work i want to do at home but honestly in the lost three or four weeks. It hasn't happened but again. I'm a little skittish of away. Like for example we have a thing like in a like next week My wife has to have a medical thing. It's a super small things like this. Nothing but she has to isolate for four days before she goes to off so now we both have to isolate right so this is the whole thing of like. I have to have these machines now in multiple places would have sold one of them. But i can't. I need to have these computers around your very strange scenario that i found myself in so at the moment really. I am doing the jar if my work my will macbook pro is funny at the moment as well. Because i'm i'm a working a really large edit for a project and the oh my own the only machine that can actually handle it is my m womack pro. "So i think of. Uc tries to focus on the higher end of. Okay how can we max accent. That joe was joking. The chatter that adapter pri- cost two hundred. Well you know at least. We're not buying the mac pro. 'cause the wheels for the bottom of the mac pro if you want the wheels for seven hundred bucks just for the wheels on that mac pro. So there's that there's like the best example of apple tax is the wheels on their mac probing seven hundred dollars. Well wasn't this. Wasn't there a seven thousand dollar monitor. That had thousand dollars. Stand or something a back in the day. Brian our newest patron a supporter brian. Thanks for doing that. Says i bought the odbc. Ram for my twenty twenty. I mak good products for good price. Unfortunately emlyn products don't have replaceable. Ram and there. There's a good reason because it's all integrated sat on the board. It's all it's all integrated. Could they do that mike. Could it be. Does it need to be soldered on the board for this. Or that's that's what they say right. Yeah well i mean. I don't know what the difference would be but okay so if i go if i'm doing this thing here's my thoughts gotta be sixteen like i would feel foolish if i'm gonna spend this kind of money. All jim windows. Jim with spend would buy the eight. Well i can probably get away with it. And then three years two years from now i'd be super pissed that look working. 'cause i think one of the guys said he doesn't think mac is that they're gonna move on pretty quickly to the next chipset. Whatever that is and this won't get this won't get all the attention it needs. I don't know we'll find out about that. But i i think there's going to be a flurry of upgrades updates software stuff that come to make some of these things work right. So i'm i'm gonna hold you accountable. If they don't figure i'm just gonna man. This is a lot of pressure. Let's not do this out of. I'm up for that. It's just your last chance to talk me in john out of this. I'm not can you do it for sure. I think you're gonna like it so and then we look last. Week isn't a thirty day. Return policy you so if you really have that regret you all set and you're like no so okay. Speaking of more money. We're gonna spend the only other addition that i may and i think you wait until you get it in front of you. The using a mouse is not as the track pad that they sell is great on. Mac mac is all about the gestures and when you get really proficient with them you can definitely use a mouse nobile but i. I've plugged in a mouse to the laptop before mike wait. I can't even do the thing i want to do. Because i don't know how to do that with malice. No that expanding with five fingers swiping with three swiping to you. Start to get really used to that. So something you may want to consider if you if you end up trigger j. nathaniel says sixteen gig. This is what he's this is his. He's weighing in sixteen gig one terabyte. Ssd done plan on five years of use. What do you think interesting five years. Nothing up to the one terabyte man was the one tear by an extra four hundred dollars number two hundred bucks so they really see two hundred to get to fight and so two hundred. Four hundred and fifty gigs. Then only another two hundred eight an extra five hundred. I think For you jim you have so much home storage. That i don't think that's going to be that big of an issue especially with the moral data box that you have. I think a lot of can integrate so well and if this was a laptop i might agree. You know being able to have all that stuff with you if you were to go out on the road for a while. You're traveling more. When everything dies down. I think for your mac mini all your extra storage. You have. i think he'll be fine. Yeah i do track pad before. I spend money on an extra five hundred gigs on top of the five hundred. You're gonna get. I would get an approval. Like i would just get the actual apple keyboard and track bad the apple keyboard. I've always liked it now. I'm a big finish to have the apple keyboard chess. Still do you really is. It's you don't even though they know it's my best kept secret is that i've only had apple keyboards for the last ten years. Probably they're just show great and they're wired. I don't do anything wireless not getting. I'm not gonna buy this is. I'm not gonna buy their bluetooth keyboards. I'm just not. There's been some while they work. There's been some complaints from from the early testers. That the the mac shows it's not connected when it's connected but it works so.

"I just. it's software is not a big deal. In fact i can run mac out or i can run iphone. Apps on this thing can i can. I can't i need so now. Yeah yeah well like. I love the coin based up on the iphone. How convenient will it be to have it just on my computer instead of it being like instead of having to go to coin base and all the other things right i haven't i haven't been through that experience. I don't know how it worked but whether radar works great on my phone it'd be great flights flight. Twenty f- flight tracker twenty four is another app. It's okay in the browser but it's really good on the. It's the the the. The iphone app is really good. I think one of the things. I heard throughout the week is a lot of that stuff still not all of it is one hundred percent ready right right. That came up a whole bunch of these. Like hey i'm still running this on rosetta. Right which i guess is the emulator for for the old apps. Is that right so it. Nothing that i think probably alarm me. A big apps are gonna get ported over right. They're going being native. After after. Not too long and i think really for you know. There weren't many options as far as configuration. Just the the alternative of buying a windows based system and what would have thousand dollars get you in window. So it's easy to compare because my machine i built was a thousand dollars right so for me. It was sixteen gigs of ram yup same arise and five thirty six hundred which you could probably get the new rising series now for the same price. I got it for a year ago. A sixteen sixty super graphics card the motherboard. The case and things like that. But i think for the nice small form factor the m one ship which i really i i have him one. Mvp to I think at that price. I mean i know. It's not tested fully yet. But i think just having access to that chip if all else is the same. I think it's a great choice. You really start to look at that. I mean i. Everyone says the apple tax. Not get it right like. It's not user acceptable. I don't have a massive case to put stuff in But some people consider that a benefit right a nice system. Even those things are tiny. The hardware goes. There's not. I mean there is an apple tax. But it's not as astronomical to be. It didn't feel that way to me. I know you've heard me complain about the two hundred and the two hundred that is those are those are apple tax for sure. Definitely in their madison. Who's coming back here in february when we interviewed him. Oh the summer. He has at super clean desk in. I started thinking like started looking around my desk like You know like sleek. Mac gotta make everything else nice. i'd like. I need a whole new desk. But the the i started kind of thinking like okay is my desk and then right behind me as a rack and i've got three p. c.'s. On that rack that back right up to the desk. And while i've done everything to minimize the fan noise they're still right. There are like you know. I could just run the mac here. I've got a dell mini that. I could run the. I could pow to power the other monitors on the desk I could move everything to the rack. That's on the other side of the wall and for the pc's that i need which really like unrated my media server box All the other things are all remote access anyway. So i'm assuming i can. I can do windows remote access right on the thing and it works. Great from microsoft Tony is getting under the desk now. Listen i'm gonna look at this thing. Like i want to see it. I just wanted to. I wanted to be clean on the by. I mean it's a great way to do that. A. tony underneath there but I i like to see those things as well but yeah get everything moved like it over and take that rack. That's in front of the desk. Repurpose it somewhere else and really kind of clean up this area down here to be really sleek and simple magnet cables frigging everywhere down here. I mean it looks decently clean up top and then down below. I've just. I don't care ngo every day i look at it like i would love the nice clean. Look and then. I remember two things one in my basement. It's never gonna look super cool down here and to. I'm just so utilitarian about everything. Like my workbenches organized yet. Still clutter dry like because i. I know everything that i have access to it. The cables right. I have charging cables laid out on the desk. Don't look good. But hey when i need to plug in my phone. It's right there. So i don't know i i go back and forth on whether i want the clean. Look or i want utilitarian. Like it's so useful. I it might not look pretty couple Couple comments from the chat rooms daniels saying he is running his twenty seven inch apple. Thunderbolt needs the mac adapter. I'm assuming that the monitor in then the actual apple made monitor for it. I think that's i think that's what he's well response. I was just. I was just wondering why they may. There's an union adapter their own monitor. They should fix that. would you think. Well hey listen this m one this this m one thing is. It's thrown a few curveballs to them. Right as i'm as i've been watching these videos. He says army configuration choices and to be honest. Yeah there there's two that's a sign ram that's really all your configuring. A tony says with the fix it. I the i fix a tear down. Could it could even be smaller and it really envy like. It's what seven and seven by seven and they could probably do a little puck. That's five by five because there's a lot of space around the sides where they fit some things in so Lots of i watched a couple. Tear down Couple tear down. He says apple thunderbolt display Joe said the doctors probably two hundred bucks the adapter. I needs thirty. So it's not it's not going to be too bad for me to get in there. I could mike. It did cause me to take a look at Different docs to while we were talking about it is it. Oh w c is nbc. Other world computing. Yeah they are. All the mac. The hardcore mac families suggest owed of uc. But they're they're not cheap. I mean i think their their bottom is one forty nine. Yeah those are going to go up to two ninety nine so so hard because you got like we've gotten into space now where the form factor of the plug doesn't tell you what it is. A usb form factor. It's thunderbolt though so now when you get a hub. You don't know what kind of capabilities you're going to get it plugs. Yes it plugs into the right port but like what speeds are we going at. What am i getting out of this thing..

"They compared the two there was only one case and that comes in video rendering is really better than the eight. Mike kind of leaning back towards eight because it's just more economical. It's two hundred extra bucks for the sixteen right. You're the one who you convince me. The ops away last week so i would have yes. I was the original one. Saying i don't think you need sixteen so i would be leaning more towards going eight but then you're talking last week and what you convinced me with his future proofing right like for you when you buy this computer. You're going to be thinking about well. This is you know. Yuki considered for so long. A lot of stu. Ride thing can be a workhorse. So why not future proof it and again we talked about how. It's not user accessible and not user upgradeable ram anymore so once you make the decision. That's the decision you gotta stick with. So i think you're thinking on sixteen gig is is right. I don't think you would regret it if you went that way. Yeah tough not to regret the decision when you have it but you know. Drop an extra two hundred bucks for it and he. I think i'll man the two hundred that's when when you you know price per gig for that by the way it's not very like that's not good pricing like it's pretty expensive to do. The are definitely paying apple tax. It for good to go from eight to sixteen. It's a tough one to swallow. I i gotta admit. I'm a little stomach. If there was probably one thought i had that. I struggled the most with this week as i was thinking about. Eight versus sixteen nathaniel says in a chat room. He got his matt has someone yesterday. Mac will set up fast only using one monitor. That's great it's a big gigantic monitor. Daniel i and i actually to be honest. She a good consideration. I didn't think about that. You go through widen. yeah. I have an ultra wide that sits here that i could plug it into it. Make it were idea all options give test in there so okay so that the i spent a lot of time thinking sixteen eight go back and forth. I'm speaking to eight it system bar now. I'm going to do sixty couple videos. That i watched were more favorable towards sixteen. Even if like you said even if your it the performance for most people you won't notice any difference because the because this memory is so integrated in with the ship and it's so much more efficient the sixteen gig of ram that. I have on my windows core i. Seven box is not the same sixteen gig. Ram that right is in the mac mini right struggle. Because there's that other idea to like. I've been thinking for the last. I don't know year. I need to take everything to sixty four gig in the house like just i need to get more ram especially when you try to frigging run. Chrome like open up chrome it takes like eight eight gig right there right just opening the thing up so okay so i struggle with that. The other struggle is honestly hard drive space. I asked you the question to fifty-six versus five twelve. I actually the question last week. How much do you think the takes takes about fifty like it. That's not exact. But that's pretty close in the work that i did see about two hundred left and i'm kind of thinking mike to hundreds pretty good like that's a pretty good right. I mean do. I really need an additional three hundred on on top of that or be another two fifty on top of that. What do you think the hard drive. I would say because it's another two hundred. Yeah i mean he run out two hundred dollar bill that that is the hard part. If if i were ordering this mac i would've gone five twelve or even higher if i could and stuck with a gig of memory so i would if it was me. That's the way i would be doing it as the five twelve hard-drive only eight gigs. I would use my two hundred. They're only. Because i have a as i think i have a in this machine. I'm wishing i had gone higher for certain reasons. I didn't think i would need a lot of stores actually have three hard drives in this computer. But i wish my envious might because i have a five hundred gig. I wish it was bigger because that speed on that india me is so fast. I love it for like video editing using his scratch disk for when your video editing in vietnamese media just so high that i wish i had gone higher there so i could have more utilization of that. Mvm speed. because everything else. I attach the status as the or the spinner is just not as fast. That's the only reason. I think i think upgrading to five. Twelve would be worth it. Carry those. there's really not that much more to consider like we. We've kind of been through apps. Okay the app said. I need to run. I can use i- movie. I'm that's the i'm using windows movie maker right now which is right. Two thousand twelve software. So you can use garage band for the audio if i wanted if i wanna do or identity. Or that's that's what. I currently use to get it done. Nothing else changes. When i'm done with the file it goes to a phonic. That's a web service right. So as well i st- when i store it. They went the video files that we make for this. Besides youtube they go to media fire. So it's just it's just a web service. Ninety percent of what i do now is on the web..

"Thing but It it listen a super pretty experience like you got. That came in fat axe. Pull it out. Beautiful card So great experience. I think the questions. Why now like wh. Why would i need to do this. Correct now in. Typically i am a way behind the power curve. Canada mike and i you know i'm buying the things after they've been here and been out in the prices of dropped or definitely not in that situation right now and that doesn't happen with apple very often right so if you wait on this even if the only thing you could wait on is getting wait until they hit the refurbish store because apple does have a reform stores if you wanted to get a refurbish unit But otherwise you know like there's just no. It just doesn't happen that often with apple products. Well a little m one envy can ask kind of what i said last week. That up cow. Like oh man this thing like in its new. I've never been first-day kinda guy although you now have influenced me to kind of you know to day one purchase. Essentially you preordered the iphone right. Oh yeah i did. I was still prouder was right on. It was right that weekend so not but pretty close. You had yours a day or so before me so you know. That's an unusual experience for me. It was such a great deal. So i got a little m one. End the How do i plan to use this so really. A lot of people asked me as we kind of like well. What's your used taste. It's video and audio editing. This box which is struggling a little bit at this point. Four or five years old forty seven. Seventy I seven forty seven. Seventy sixteen gig ram. That senate spent a good box got. Ssd drive. it's been okay when i've been kind of thinking like okay at some point. You know i'm gonna probably need to replace it. Why not now so audio and video processing this livestreaming. So when we do the podcasting mike last week at my camera was flickering a little bit. And i'm wondering how much of that is the pc or is it the camera okay. That's a question like right. And maybe maybe it's getting long in the tooth on the pc side and then of course just just general browsing At thank you by the way sarah. It's not even valentine's day look liquid. She brought back here. Some candy hearts. What a sweetheart will sweet little sweetheart. She knows our sweet tooth. So so general browsing. But i listen. I spent a lot of time on youtube a lot of time watching stuff. I spend a lot of time doing that. I think the thing you talked me into last week was of course the integration. Ed mentioned this as well when i was on the phone with him. The integration between my phone am ipc message words. pictures right all those kinds of things. When you think of use case mike anything. I might be missing in there as far as other things to take advantage of. Maybe i haven't even thought about no actually kind of the opposite. I you know so. I've obviously made the switch to windows right but we still run a mac laptop in the house. It just has become hannah's. My wife's laptops uses for teaching teacher. Now so she uses more than i do. But jim i think when i see now is unless you are a gamer right. Because that's the sole reason i switched to windows is because i switched to pc gaming from console and gaming. I would just write gaming off. On a mac i will. I'll just say like if you're trying to gain just skip the mac. There are some games you can do. But i just. I wouldn't try and do it Besides gaming i think that they have become so similar. And i think jim it has a lot to do with a lot of the things we do now are in a web browser that it doesn't matter what system you're on it works in the web browser and if you need to do a little audio editing or need to do a little video editing you know you're gonna have apps on both sides that do it. You may need to learn a different workflow depending on the video app audio apps. You use our on mac right. I think all this stuff is a very natural. You can use either system. So i think for you. They're the biggest change. I think he's just going to be getting used to the. Ui writing playing around. You know getting used to kind of how it works. But i don't think it's going to disrupt your workflow as far as applications or anything like that. I think you're going to have a pretty solid experienced there As long as you can kind of get used to the ecosystem it gets knocked for just the limited number of ports that are on there all the videos that i watched. I must have watched fifty hours videos. This week Just on the many Or talking about these. This m one offering right in china. I narrowed it down. I think early in the week we kind of moved away from the the the laptop and move more toward the mini. Sorry kind of focused on that so it's lack of ports to uspa's as okay. Well i've got a three. I have a really nice three. Oh doc that things like my keyboard and mouse anything else i wanna play into. It can go right that kind of stuff. Put the camera in the second one. I don't attach storage in now. Why would i attach it to. Uspa anyways it would. It would need to go thunderbolt if it was gonna go any way storage dry. I have tons of network storage. So that's really the way. I'm doing things a lot of the videos. I watched a lot of these guys. Ladies attach st really fast as storage to it. It's gotten knocked. This version of the m one has got knocked for some slow transfer speeds Especially st. they should be faster. That's probably something magical fix not an issue for me. I'm not gonna put an external hard drive on it. it's it's not can exist right At least in my mice. Now could i do it. Yeah could they fix it. Sure it will get there right. We talked about the monitor support. It's their networking. It's fine like i can't. I'm having a hard time. Then i watched some of the And went and watched some of the performance videos on it. Let's talk the difference between eight and sixteen like eight. Eight hundred eight gig. Sixteen gig haram. Not a huge difference. All videos watches..

"A gym. I urge you talk about the m one. Max and i just thought that was interesting My brother was telling me about those over christmas break in for about three minutes. I thought about buying them for my teachers probably won't work out because we're all windows and everything but Yeah i just wanted to throw out there. I think that they have a limitation on the number of external displays. You can use with them. So if you're looking at docket and connected bunch of monitors might have to double check on that but they seem pretty impressive well and cow. Thank you can. You can leave. Leave us a voicemail. Leave it on anything. Make funny whatever home gadget. Geeks dot com little button in the right. Hand corner lieber message kyle. Thanks for leaving that As well well mike. That's the sticking point is i had a to monitor requirement and this is kind of the conversation that went on via twitter and a little bit and discord is that the macbook just didn't have the distinct. It's really just supporting monitor now. So watched all these videos. There are peripherals that you could buy that will extend it three so even though it says one i could get away with three on the mac many. It's really too is what they support out of the box. You can get one of those thunderbolt ports and the hd two will give me too. That's the minimum requirement for me. So i don't really have a problem I'm gonna need to buy an adapter for the for the thunderbolt to already actually have the adapter for the for the hd my For these these monitors by the way they're old enough they don't have hdmi annum. They're great monitors. And i really love him. I wanna use them. I'm not so. It's i'm not gonna take at least initially only be able to take full advantage of all the four k. Goodness right that is there but who knows. I knows what's next on that kind of thing. Right my during the show so monitors not necessarily an issue. That was a deal. Breaker for me. Had have multi monitor support to have at least two down here in the command center to be able to do that during the show just as say no during the show. You talked me into getting onto the apple card. And man that super impressive they send you a fedex like i think i applied right after the show or maybe even on the show i think on this show you apply for the credit card and i thought maybe we were going to buy it at night. We ended up doing. Because i was kinda glad. 'cause i wanted to make the decision after we talked about it in the chat room had some time to weigh whatever so little fedex envelope and then i didn't even touch the thing yet but it comes. We'll see if we can. I mean it comes in. It's nice pretty garden. I'll be honest. i don't know if i'm gonna take it out. I'm going to take it out. Think i'm just gonna leave it on my mounted somewhere. Some i've turned. Does it sound like. I'm turning into a mac fan boy is that maybe i you. The next the next little piece is if you were to use apple pay out and about in. Its charging that card. I think you will like the and how it does it in the app and and how it just kind of shows in the wall. I enjoy that yeah. I don't know my current card. And i never use it so we do the same.
