"Few years back put on by the public theater in central park. It roiled the political writing. Conservative protesters disrupted controversial performance of julius caesar in new york. Are you sad progressive. Who dreams about president from knifed to death while you're in luck a new production julius caesar in europe let you live out your fantasy. Caesar was dressed like trump had certain of his mannerisms plus a wife kalpana who sported a slavic accent. And of course he's murdered in cold blood. Can you blame the right for being upset. I don't blame the ripe for being upset. Any more than i would blame the left for being upset with a year or so earlier rob melrose production of julius. Caesar that had an obama look alike assassinated on. Stay the tradition of julius caesar in this country change permanently when orson welles staged this play. Nineteen thirty seven at the mercury theatre. If there'd be any and this assembly any dear friend of seizes through him. I say the brutus. There's love to caesar with no less than his. If then that friends emend. Why brutus rose against caesar. This is my answer. Not i love. Caesar less loved rome more. Caesar was just like mussolini and he completely politicized how this play was done. The became a template for how we did. Caesar after that oscar used this the artistic director of public theater. He wanted to show that saving democracy by undemocratic means like killing trump. Like caesar was greater disaster than anything else i think he wanted to create a sense of whiplash in that liberal audience at the delacour theater and one of the ways he did. That was to have fifty actors hidden throughout the audience. So that when brutus in the conspirators. Kill the trump like caesar. They're screaming yelling that castigating him for doing that. They call them out. The problem was when real protesters followed a fake protesters audience members didn't know where the protests were coming from or who was protesting. Want so that invasion if you will The delacour by protesters were paid to disrupt. The show. Ruined the possibility of conversation and dialogue. Or maybe we're just not ready yet for conversation and dialogue in this country but shakespeare does seem to be used like the bible in the sense that anyone can find a defense for whatever they believe in his text. Do you think his message his intentions. His morals were more explicit in elizabethan times. On the times they were written. I don't think so. And i think that's.

"I they have a chance. If they don't score I think they probably have major issues agreed last one. I'll let you run. Houston shot at at at Arrowhead Seattle. I'm I'm assuming you do. Give them a shot at Green Bay. Yeah I I give whatever team Wilson's playing for in any game ever until the end of time a chance I think he's the best quarterback in the NFL. If I only have one one for the next ten years it's Russell Wilson the guys unbelievable As for the Texans not really I know. They played them well earlier in the year. Sure but this chiefs defense is playing so much better than they were. Then maybe that gives the Texans a little bit of confidence but I. I don't have a whole lot a lot of faith in the Texans it. They're basically the Shawn Watson and a bunch of guys. I think that she's probably hammered them at Ross Tucker. NFL NFL Listened to all of his podcasts. They're all available in the same way. "The thing that was no fluky. They beat their butts and they beat their butts up front both sides of the ball which I couldn't believe you get hunter are and Everson Griffen playing that. Well that probably ends up being the difference in the game at San Francisco is it Bosa and Buckner and Armstead or is it did he L. Hunter and Everson Griffen that dominate upfront. We all loved the skill guys a fantasy football. And I'm not saying it's just because I was alignment. But you know most most of these games like everybody's talking about Derrick Henry you only time derrick. Henry was able to run for five yards before he was touched. I mean we talk about the titans beating the Patriots Retreats Brains in the game is not as complicated people make it and it's rare when the team that wins the battle. The treasures does not win the game. Yeah I mean that's an interesting way to look at that game Saturday and I think it's the right way to look at it because danneal hunters a star. You're a lot of people don't don't know he's a game record and he's been that way at times This year and then you've got what they have in boasts in that speed. beat up front. It's like whichever quarterback is harassed in two third-down misses or worse third-down mistakes. You know they probably lose game both teams. You're going to want to run the ball. In ironically. In the same way right you know the Shanahan system against Kuby Acts Shanahan system and run scheme in Minnesota. They'll be mirrors of each other correct and it says a lot for that system you know at least one of them's GonNa get into the conference championship game too. You and I'm not sure. They're both like overly talented. Although I thought it was weird that everybody thought the saints are going to blow out the Vikings I mean they got a top ten quarterback. They're back they've got a top five receiver duo. They got top five running back. They got a top five defensive end do oh they got a top five linebacker do oh they got out. I five safety to. Oh I mean he's got a lot of good players do like I like to think that they're going to get blown out and get a lot of playoff experienced. No and they didn't apply love the vikings getting the eight points. I thought that was crazy. Yeah and they're going to get six and a half less than a touchdown. It looks like they're begging the public Tibet San Francisco and lay less than a touchdown which usually works poorly for the for the public. All right the other two games real quickly. So you mentioned Derrick Henry. I thought he was the best player I watched this weekend. Canned and to me what they can do. Running the football gives them a chance against Baltimore. Agree or disagree agreed agreed What I don't like about it for the titans is they're the only team in the playoffs in the AFC? That hasn't played the Ravens yet. And I like in the Ravens to playing like army or navy or Air Force in college football. The scheme is so different and so unique that the first time you actually go up against it it is a real awakening. Your scout teams is not able to do a very good job with it and then you get to it and even if they do a decent job the speed of it is just so different so what happens then. Is the Ravens get a lead..

"You want it you need it. It's what everyone's talking about the Kevin Sheehan show. Now here's Kevin hurting wording gold from the takes the snap looks right they left. And and it is Short San Francisco and New Orleans Saints and Dan with that Kirk cousins had engineered his fourteenth fourth quarter or overtime game winning drive. And some of you thought. It was the first this time he had done it. Aaron sear. I'm here Ross. Tucker is GONNA join us here very shortly to go over all for an F. L. playoff games and they were great this week in all four four of them coming down to the final two minutes she had to overtime games including the Minnesota win in New Orleans to knock out drew brees and the saints. You know those lazy easy incorrect narratives that some of you don't even know are in corrected by the way that's what makes them lazy have been have been following kirk cousins career career since the day he took over in Twenty fifteen is a starter in Washington. You've been annoying in this conversation that we've had over the last several years because because you've been incorrect so often and yes I'll admit up front. I've been a little annoying as well in this conversation. I've never taken it personally. I hope you haven't either But I am going to gloat a little bit today because that was despite all of the other fourth quarter game winning drives he's had and and again yesterday was his fourteenth not his first yesterday was the moment. Even I can admit that it came in the biggest of stakes games on the road against an opponent that was an eight point favorite the biggest favourite of the weekend were the saints In a place. It's very difficult to win against a team. That's been very very good this year. Thirteen win team with a hall of fame quarterback and Kirk cousins played. Well he did play. Well you know I. I heard a lot of conversation During the game You know on twitter and with various friends who were texting me. That said Kirk looks tight. He's not playing well and I'm like what are talking about. The man converted eight third down throws in the game for for for conversions. That that move the sticks was he spectacular spectacular. No did the defense lead Minnesota. That win absolutely was Dalvin. Cook Sensational in the first half. He was twelve carries ten yards words in the second half. They did not have a running game in the second half Did Mike Zimmer a call exceptional game defensively he did did he get way too conservative late. I think he did and I thought we were headed towards a loss. And then I'd have to come in here with my. You know Aaron what I do when Kirk Loses. It's my list of excuses after all of the reasons why he lost and I will tell you this if they had lost that game in regulation or in overtime like if New Orleans had won the coin toss and had gone down there and scored I and Minnesota never touch the ball. In overtime. I would have blamed Mike Zimmer more than anybody else. He got way too conservative assertive in the fourth quarter with a twenty two ten lead and at twenty two seventeen lead and if you want to say that he didn't trust cousins and he was afraid cousins might make a tragic mistake. That's fine and I sort of sensed that. Maybe that's the way he was feeling. I think Mike Zimmer is just a conservative coach by nature. He relies on his defense. The defense that's been very sporadic all year long but yesterday was outstanding without pass rush especially considering that they had to secondary guys out and and then Xavier Rhodes got hurt during the game It was their defense. It was Dalvin Cook. But Kirk cousins had a hell of a game and that was even before the Overtime drama where he delivered on that drive four of five including the big one to feeling that set up the game winner to Rudolph which I will now address right now that was offensive. Pass interference. It was it should have been called. It doesn't always get called almost never gets called. No that sort of extension of the arm gets called a lot. I I don't know if it's I don't know what the percentages are. I would say that that extension of the arm the way he extended the armed create. The space probably gets called fifty eighty percent of the time forty percent of the time. I'll give you worse case. It's a subjective thing. I think it if if it flagged it I would never had said even though I. I was rooting for the Vikings that that was an awful call what I am glad about. However is that when it went to New York into L.? Riverine they did not overturn that call because because they haven't all year long that was offensive. Pass interference in my opinion. We see a GIG called. Sometimes we get a get a ignored Nord A lot of the time as well. I don't know fifty fifty sixty forty whatever you think it was. If it had been flagged no one would have been shocked. The fact that it wasn't flagged lagged no one was shocked it goes to New York we've seen all year. They haven't overturned calls like that and they didn't yesterday in New Orleans of all places the irony of all of that. How about this? In the last two weeks the rule that was created to appease the whining New Orleans franchise franchise and their fan base. A rule that we knew back in August was problematic and was going to be an issue for the League to administer and manage all year long and it's been a disaster disaster in the way this has been implemented It how ironic is that. Last week they failed to review review a clear defensive pass interference against Seattle in the end zone that would have created a first and goal and probably lead to a Seattle win which would have made New Orleans a top two seed and they wouldn't have been playing yesterday and then in the playoff game in the same place where it happened last year and offensive pass. Interference did get get reviewed. There was some talk that it hadn't been reviewed. Of course they did review it but Al Reverend essentially saying this was the kind of subjective. Call that we do not overturn. That's not what the rule was intended to do on a play like that. Excellent game excellent win major career moment for Kirk cousins Even even though the narrative about him not performing in the Clutch Clutch has gotten incredibly Twisted and has been very incorrect and lazy over the ears but yesterday was obviously in a playoff game his first playoff win against the thirteen and three team on the road against that particular team and playing the way he did. And especially Ashley in overtime engineering. That last drive to win the game was a career moment. Kennedy keep it going Yes he can there only a six and a half point underdog at San Francisco. It's kyle against Kirk Boy If you're a redskin fan and you hated Bruce. Allin Dan Snyder and what they've done to this organization understand. Stand this even. If you're not a cousins fan or a Shanahan fan what they are going to have to to live through next Saturday afternoon. That game is gut rich wrenching to them. They they want those people to fail. They tried to they. Did they. Bad mouth them on the way out of town they bad mouth them while they were here. It's the petty Low rent way in which this operation has been run over the years and if you dislike the people that are running this organization and one of the people that just got fired from this organization. Trust me they were not rooting for her cousin. Yesterday they want him to fail. They went kyle title Shanahan to fail. The two of them will face off next week. What about all of the other games? Let's bring in Ross Tucker Ross. Of course you know played in Washington for for a period of time knows the redskins and of course knows the NFL really well and we've had him on the podcast before and always enjoy his visit. And you have you got a million podcast yourself. I mean you're the king of PODCASTS. Give us the the two or three. Everybody should be listening to right now. Well well I mean I haven't daily won the Ross Tucker football podcast. So if you want an ex-redskin NFL player in about thirty minutes. Let you know what's going on the NFL. Every every day you can listen to that one and then probably Catholic everything else the fantasy podcast fantasy feast with Joe. Dolan is very popular as is is the even money sports betting podcasts with St Fezzet. The only two time winner of the super contest out there at the West Gate in Vegas so okay and honestly I'm into those two like every year I get further removed from my playing days the more fantasy and betting interest me when I'm watching the Games. I mean every game I watch. I am always entertained by football but there is no question dude. It makes it more interesting when you have something I've been on the game and welcome to the club because I've been a degenerate for about forty years and been involved in all of this stuff forever and it's always been a big a big part of my podcast gambling. Talk as well at one point. Ross this year and Aaron will tell you Erin my producer. Who's WHO's on right now as well I was twenty six above five hundred? I'm now a couple of games below five hundred. which by the way is the definition of gambling? It's not for everybody and more times than not. You're not GonNa win if you understand that in much better shape I- and it's true it's true but the first of all I'm up. Twenty four units for the year. That's amazing Yeah for for the for the season I I got up to his high as thirty and then the last two weeks You know I lost both you know wild card weekend I push. I had two units on the bills. Getting two and a half two units on the titans getting five one unit on the Vikings Getting Eight and one one year on the eagles getting one and a half so I pushed for the weekend But that's the beauty of it right. I mean even if you you push your your lose a little bit. It made every game very very entertaining. I'm just still a very angry at the buffalo bills for blowing that they were thoroughly dominating the Texans for forty minutes. I cannot believe that data that didn't cash and then for the Eagles I guess I mad at today beyond beyond cloudy because I kind of feel like if Carson Wentz doesn't get hurt the eagles win that game so it's funny you're always justify it that way right care like in my mind I. It was for an outright. I don't I don't I don't count the positive thing that happened for me. In the other Games that I actually won and someone who's been in in the wagering inside and also the other side through the course of my life. I never remember the good ones I always remember. The worst of the beets mm-hmm and like as example I was actually on Houston linked two and a half. I won't remember that as much as I'll remember the fact that I had the the eagles at a pick on the game actually got to Erin. I don't know if you saw this Philadelphia got to minus one at some point I the eagles at a pick in Carson wentz gets knocked out of the game. So let's start. Yeah because I think that's where you were right. You're in.

"Basically the gaslight is on for the giants. You guys need to get gas. And you keep driving. Now, we get a little bit for before we get gas. Okay. We get a little bit closer. Okay. Then you almost house. Well, we can just get gas in the morning. Okay. But in the morning, you're still going to need to get gas. They gotta get gas in the draft cause y'all still need gay. But we got these new tires got these new tires cycle Barclays here. And he's gonna make you go all the it's like, no, we still be asked to go as far as take us, and that's the curse of getting saquon Barkley. It's not. Worst case scenario is not that maybe he's going to be mediocre. It's going to be that. He's so good that he helps keep that job and drop their draft pick. Yes. This team needs to take. No one in the NFL. By the way, turns out is good and tanking. What I'm learning? Anybody Oto Beckham about this? But he heard the quarterbacks go be are you serious about those twenty yard lesions though that get some gas man we's last quote, today's gay strike Babe Ruth out every top. Fridge really of Adam out of out of two forty-three a last year one hundred twelve batters seventy seven innings while pitcher for the Rockies public. Could you be right? I mean, I have an issue with how we do the time travel hypothetical because this guy is basically implying that he could go back in time like mardi MC flying back to the future. Riba view of Johnny be good before Chuck Berry ever did then zip back out. And that's not how this works. He can't just back in time and strike out Babe Ruth the question is if you guys both contemporaneous lived in the same era, and you both had access to Trish and conditioning in technology and the wisdom of Babe Ruth going forward. How would you do? And that's where we are disrespecting the bam beat. Okay. We all agree that modern players have all these advantages that they didn't have back in the day in that. There are more good players in baseball now than there have ever been. Yeah. And there's more guys stolen buckle one to all of that. However. No would in American professional sports has been better than his peers than that do was than his like, I get it. I understand it. I fully get the idea that there's Babe Ruth. You know, oh Bank of the day down at all this now man, he's still be out here killing it right now. And he he was an amazing hitter. He was an amazing pitcher he was Shohei Ohtani before that the best argument against Babe Ruth is that he didn't face the competition. That was a ethnically racially diverse or be as strong as you said that is the thing is they segregated when Babe Ruth played baseball. And they were not like people playing baseball when Babe Ruth played baseball. Yeah. No black people might be one possible. Yeah. There might be one. Never know. Yeah. I would ask him. "It's an outlier. I mean, their wives Nick them Sealy and Nettie from the color purple the emotionally inseparable sisters have you seen? I have because I had to research. The story that I wrote about this. But I take you back to the summer of twenty fourteen bulb the brawn James Dwayne Wade are talking about what's going to happen next season. They're both up. Dwayne Wade says I'm going to sacrifice eleven million dollars to make the Miami Heat salary cap situation. More palatable we could afford LeBron James they go on this private plane from Las Vegas to Miami. We see them on the tarmac hugging. Lebron James, leaps he leaves. And so when I asked Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle union his wife about this. What's staggering that they are genuinely unbothered LeBron cost eleven million dollars, and he left and the friendship survived to the point where after this miss three. They're going to embrace in hog in front of all of America. Can you imagine to other people in any industry doing what is different about? This to me is this is the only relationship that I can really think about in sports that is based on friendship, then the defining thing like their relationship has helped to. Find the last ten years of basketball, their relationship changed the order of what the would because what LeBron they're generally we think of two players as good as these guys work in currently as being rivals. But there was no point in their careers that ever overlap in such a way that actually created robbery. Look there was facing time for that to be the case teams just weren't good at the same time. But also we as media LeBron was the guy with all the flash coming out of that drought. Dwayne Wade won the championship. I won finals MVP, and we still never put those guys side by side. It's fascinating. How it all went? Yeah. And now we have guys like Jaanus who are of the Koby Mamba mentality. Talk about how they don't wanna work out with anybody. But that is that is in defiance of the culture that you just talked about the culture that they shave because friendship across enemy lines is still too many people subversive see the thing with Janas to me is he did not come up in this AAU culture that we have here. Like one thing. That's different is these guys have known. Each other overall, not these two specific ones, but they note he's ten eleven twelve years old. They're building friendships all the way along the way, it is not necessarily going chain wasn't flips up when we get there. Like, I don't even know if guys more savage or were more savage as much as Janas did not grow up with these dudes in the same way, probably going to have to these guys make themselves better by working out in this way. We got I can't work out with you who the hell are you? Go work out with go make you better. Right. And meanwhile, we have these guys talking after the game about something that made people like me incredibly incredibly angry, please roll that tape..

"And you had when the worst games your career didn't crack three digits so on the pass yardage Joan all three digits, but hey, man, the winter you do the post game interview. Yes, they call them not to there was Russell Wilson power posing as he always just confident as he always is. But his list of prepares fief is is there one for that the situation. I feel like yes. Repaired speeches for every situation ever even that he's ready. He's ready to take credit even if he was just a little bit shakey. But speaking of shaky our first named Kirk cousins your boy after Minnesota crawled it's way to all of seven points. Seven against shut out the Vikings today fired first year office coordinator, John D Filipo. So Bo who felt like the bigger problem to you last night. Was it Mr. cousins or was it the offensive coordinator? First of all, welcome to the NFL people talk about giving a deep Lippo, dude. A head coaching. John got fired from his assistant coaching job. I mean, I don't know skiing wise, whether the what was the problem. I know he wanted to run the ball less. Mike Zimmer the Mike Zimmer wanted to run the ball more. They ran the ball a lot more before. But man, they thought they were a quarterback away. And so they pay twenty seven million dollars a year to get this dude right here, yet guess what they look like they're a quarterback away. They also looked like their offense of line away to be fair to him and diva Lippo, but what was that the ball dead baggage as we know the broadcast gave him credit for presence of mind that is the opposite of presence of body. Got what have you? Thank God, really tabby as Mary catching that. Because if you didn't we would probably be laughing at this even more than we are right now. But you're right. They were running the ball. Second most often in the league last year thirty first underneath Lippo and indefens- of Kirk cousins. He in the first seven games, he looked fine Pila good at times. But but now, it's like what do you do when this is the guy who invested all that money? And because I don't think he is the long term solution to jump off the treadmill of mediocrity that this team has found itself off thing with me and cousins, even if the numbers looked better early. He looks about the same the circumstances changed around him, and in Washington breath was if everything was right around him than things could be right with him is a lot to ask any football team to have everything right around it. But that one has a lot going right ally goal, right? Probably the best pair starting wide receivers. In the league. They've got a decent running game there. Again, the offense of live becomes its own issue. But he is that he. Game changer, and he's being paid like and the stat of the day is that he is four and twenty four against teams with winning records. He's Owen five this year against teams that are winning. And we have this play in the game that he did wanna throw to both here. We have a special teams play it as a field goal. It has Bobby Wagner. Leaping over beeping over zone colleagues there, which is a problem. That's not allowed. You can't yoursel. Right. I agree. You cannot volt yourself. It does it look like he bolted himself. It looks like he put his hands on those. But he'd involved himself spirited law baby spirit. I want to get rid of the letter of the law as well though. I would love it. If you could just like cheerleader thrill guys into the air to block field goals. I want more of what you then do is affected -ly Aratu. Kate the field goal from football. There is the reason that room is there because otherwise there would not be a single field goal that ever through. But I thought he got over disable the tap little doubt la- tech. The trade off between no field goals and acrobatic field. Glint lock. They wouldn't be activated field goal blocks. Try there wouldn't be field goals. Sorry aid to be that guy. Dry solutions oriented, I. Yeah. Man, go next name broad and way last night. Lebron Dwayne Wade played last time the emotions were flow it public. Just how rare is this friendship. It's extreme..

"Her cousins or case keenum because what he paid you're getting case keenum branca's are gonna sign him tomorrow rumored reportedly to be between eight million eighteen million excuse me and twenty million per so how does that move for this team well the broncos felt like the cousins because of the financial concerns wasn't a good fit keenum is a much better fit is going to be less than half the money two years instead of three years so they can get out of it sooner and they seem a lot further away from the super bowl three years paid manning and they have had but trash quarterbacks let's be honest about it it's paid manning retired what do you think about paxton lynch intern house number one draft choice trevor siemian look like a seventh round draft choice brock osweiler came back and didn't do anything at all they had to have a quarterback now they get that extra ten million dollars a year to surround him with a better all fensive line a tied in a third wide receiver ofensive ly they got the defense basically in place i think this is a grand move for them in terms of not getting cousins because keenum actually had a better year than kirk cousins and i think his numbers will reflect well when he gets to denver and he's worked with kubiak who is always number two man here they must like him because of kubiak was the one guy that saved him off the scrap heap when nobody drafted him out of university of houston when he said every college record known to man gabe i think we could sense where you're going here but would you rather have keenum or cousins going into next season.

"Quarterback tony but one thing we know about him is that his production depends on the talents around them we saw him in washington in the final year when there are a lot of injuries as kyar dropped sixteen points now in minnesota he will be surrounded by talent it's a great situation however in twenty one thousand nine hundred twenty twenty some of that talent is going to go away because of how much they're paying him and his performance could drop so i like this now is win move or like this win now move but beyond that i'm not so sure oh i like it for the three years that you know who's your quarterback going forward that they are going to reference that by getting rid of bridgewater bradford and keenum so it's really not as much of a cost factor as people might believe and i think when you do surround him with great ofensive talent like what he had washington that i think that he is going to at least keep them on a level plain that they have a chance at the super bowl once again as they did this year and really i think it's a great win win for him to go there play indoors he's a mid western guy and it's going to be a good win for the vikings because i get a guy that's a quality quarterback in the top ten at are you vite that okay i get it but you said not as much a cost factor we're talking about twenty eight million per which is the highest yearly salary bonus included and we're talking about lee guarantee for the life of the eighty four million dollars and you don't think that's a cost factor k b how about you it is.

"And then you don't have to charge them any vat tax and if you're selling certain things like um i think maybe education or nonprofit they have a discounted vat rate so there's all kinds of rules but how that simple omitted and spark a sorry to go on alone tainjy here but how that implemented and spark his we do gathered the two forms of location but then all you have to do is implement the tax percentage method on your user model which is already a cashier method for years i mean that's been around for a long time and that basically will set the tax percentage on strike for how much stripe is going to charge them additional tax and so within that method you can use whatever means you want to get your tax rates so there's all kinds of ways you can get your vat tax rates some people call like a third party api that keeps their tax rates current or whatever and you this past them the country that you need the tax rates for some people use a package that has the tax rates cut of hard coded which has a larry bell package that has that but basically that's up to you in the nice thing about that is it doesn't just limited to european vat because like canada has taxes they have to charge on digital goods and if the us ever had attacked system like that which has come up in congress before but stalled out where you have to charge tax based on whatever state the person's in or whatever whatever county then that would make it work for any country essentially and then even further there's in sparked there's a billing address updated event where any time the customer updates they're building address spark will automatically recall that tax presidents method to get an updated tax percentage an update the striped subscription automatically with the new tax percentage so it kind of keeps all that in sink and really all you have to worry about a long story short is making sure attacked percentage method.

"You actually have to have two forms of proof um for why you're charging them the tax rate that you're charging them and so one of them can be the declared you know just billing address of the customer but when you're using stripe we can actually conveniently pulled the banks origin country on your credit cards that gives us a second proof of where you are and if those two don't match spark will you know have a validation error that your card origin country doesn't match your declared billing country so using stripe makes that really easy and then we can store that annan the invoices table we store that as well because just because they have to uh are just because they were in say denmark at the time of one purchase doesn't mean they didn't move to great britain a year later so we store the country on every invoice i'm so that we know you know we can prove why we charge than the tax that we charge them it's awful people actually have to worry about writing that stuff not only that but you're supposed to store all that for ten years to keep records for ten years and your invoices like i said have to be certain ways like the regulations are on invoices where they have to be sequentially numbered you know the tax has to be listed and then there's a layer on top of it where if you're a business say i'm i'm reading forge in denmark and a business in great britain wants to buy forge you don't have to charge them tax but they have to give you a valid vat identifier number that proves that they are a actual business.

"The command spark whatever the commend ms nightly or whatever and as soon as a really is super fast and super easy and it makes the charge you know obviously really quick to load because there's no they don't have to do any calculations at all of it is pulls the data strict directly from the database and throws in the charts so it's actually really really fast schedulers so good you we forget like how so good goods like a nightmare back in the day i for whatever reason i could never remember the sequence for a for the krahn jobs united's ridiculous i should know it but i always ended up reserves could remember that and then you'd had a ones where it was like to slash ten and you're like what had to divided by ten what was that again i'd always have to get a refresher because you don't write the krahn jobs enough you know usually have just a handful per project and then you never touch him again so yes schedulers so good yes absurd those are really cool feature that came about in a really roundabout way with all that tax mess which tax in europe is it's really a mess and i hope it never becomes that way the us do you think you've cracked it though yeah so basically in europe you have what's called this value added tax or vat tax wear starting january first or 2015 so last year there was a new regulations that you have to charge tax based on wear the customer is where the customers purchasing or stuff not where you live and that was based the idea behind that was basically to create this level playing field because businesses could incorporate in a country that had very forgiving tax rates and you know get a big break but with the new regulation since you have the charge where the customer is is sort of levels all that out were you can't really you know be and a tax haven so to speak with your european business and so the tricky part is there's uh you know you have to know where the user is and you have to prove you have to prove that that's accurate so what are user first size of your out.

"It also new registrations you know new users time and then of course you also have not and graf orbited text form you'd have how many users are subscribed each plan how many users are trialing each plan so you can get an idea for which which of your plans is the most popular and which maybe isn't as popular school because there are dedicated like tools that you can pay for on a monthly subscription that only provide that feature so if this is just something you're tacking on that that's pretty awesome so how exactly does this work so the it's kind of an interesting story behind this whole feature because you have to have like a performer at way to get these numbers obviously without hitting the striped api and pulling down every transaction that's ever happened in your system so basically how it all started was it cut ties into the whole tax system where it's going to sound really roundabout but i promise us all relates but in europe there's actually a regulation that your invoices have to be sequentially numbered like you know let's just say one two three four five six seven eight nine ten and if they're not then tax authorities seemed to look at it like are hiding revenue so to speak they want to see every invoice sequentially and so i built that into spark where you could have sequential invoice numbers but in order to do that i had to capture the incoming charges from stripe on the web hook controller and then store every charged in an invoices table said i could no sequentially when they occurred.

"Another thing is this trying to clean up the dependencies a bit elixirs a really tough one because you need a good number of dependencies to make it just perfect out of the box rights mud the more dependencies you have the longer it takes to install so it's always kind of awkward line you have to walk where it's like like somebody said on twitter the other day um you should have basically no dependencies at all other them sas and it's like leah you could do that but the reality is most people are doing way more than sas if i tell them installed these seven different things for new project to kind of defeats the purpose of how useful a lecture actually is so you that is a tough line because everything you take out of the dependency tree is it makes it faster to install but then it's more work as well all right so on that line i'm taking out a coffee script supports a lot more people used it a year ago or so when we launched it but i'm just getting the feeling that it's more difficult to justify it uh as a default at this point so that's gonna leave that gets rid of a dependency cuffy script will move to an extension so if you do use coffee script your good you have to pull in one extension is thirty seconds and you're back to how you're before another cool thing coming as i figured out a way to lacey load punched the dependencies so that means when you when you run gulf it's going to be like three times as fast as it was before actually can i ask about the is is that lazy loading a like a pre establish thing or two you're using or is that kind of some custom code your own if it's it's stupid basic it's calling a function so this is really my fault i should have thought of this but basically the way it works is when you set up your cult file it basically loads all of the tasks in every task declares its dependencies so even if you're not using a browser or fi it actually will do require browser or fai.
