"You know who's going to buy the escalator? I think it's going to be bought by a lot of racing drivers who cover their own vehicles. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I could see that. Because if you're rolling into the paddock and you need something to scale and size to tell you about your power boat or your race car or something and you're doing it yourself, and a lot of people just enjoy doing it themselves. Yeah. Then this would be a cool thing to turn up in the paddock in. Yeah, it would be. And you know it'd be beautiful inside and comfortable and it'd be great. So I can see that. What's going on? What's going on in your world? Another thing that excited me over the weekend that I just never catches on in the U.S. but I was watching the Monte Carlo rally and there's a guy called Sebastian Loeb, which hopefully people listening to this will know. I went on the acropolis for rally when I was like 22 and starting out in this world. And the EU is about three years older than I am. And he was this really young French king Carlos Sainz and Colin McRae were driving for Sichuan in the world rally championship. And they were both unlike multi-million dollar contracts and superheroes in this little French guy who barely spoke any English at that time, turned up and was just mighty. And they couldn't get over how fast this kid was. And here we are like 2020 something years on. He's 40, 8, next month. He just finished second in the Dakar. He could fly straight from the duck car to a test of a brand new rally car, which was a puma, which is Ford's little SUV in Europe. It's a puma hybrid. He turns up in the north of England to test this thing. Tens have been Monte Carlo. Takes on Sebastian ogier. I think he's an 8 time world champion. Loves a 9 time world champion, and at 48 years old beats him. I did get the two of them who've got 8 and 9 world championships each. Then they were taken on all the young guns and were just in a different league and it was just it was a bit like the Verstappen Hamilton in Formula One, the two of them just kind of took each other to another level. And it was just an incredible story. And what made it even better is that sebs now won 79 world rallies. He also finished second at Le Mans for Persia in a prototype. All sorts of stuff is extremely all sorts of things. He turns up, it a normal co driver isn't co drive for anymore. So he turned it with a 50 year old lady who had been he had done some testing with him over the years. She's a part time math teacher. Yeah, I was gonna say she's a teacher. Yeah, this is a teacher. She's 50 years old. He's 47, nearly 48. They get in the car. They dust everybody. They win the Monte Carlo rally, and it's just such an amazing story. And if you look the so much onboard footage from, you know, if you go across Twitter or any social media. And I know rallying doesn't really do it over here in the same way. I know Ken block came over and made a bit of a bit of buzz around it, but it's just extraordinary to see. And this guy must be right up there when you talk about the best ride drivers actually the best drivers. I mean, he was mighty at Le Mans. He's been mighty in everything he's done. Finished second on the dark car, flight the UK when the flight to France win the Monte Carlo rally go home. It's just fantastic. Yeah, it was an exciting weekend. I saw all the news and the buzz around. It certainly through Ford and the brands in the sponsors that were pushing it. But yeah, I saw some of the in car footage and always just blows my mind when you see some of that in car rally stuff. And you see this guy just haul an ass sawing out the wheel and someone's just sitting there reading a book next I'm going, yeah, you're gonna turn here, you're gonna turn there. They never even look up and see what's going on. I stare at my phone when someone's driving a car for a few minutes and I start to get sick looking at my phone. I can't imagine drive it like bad out of hell. It just read to map the whole time and talk it to somebody on my head to go and yeah you're gonna turn up here and you're gonna turn it up there and then some of the clips some of the carnage you see that there were showing just someone goes, they make it, they're flying through the air. They hit the turf. They go straight. Somebody just misses and they lawn dart off the side. Then they always cut to the in car footage. Here, they got going, oh shit. You're like, my gosh. There was a mighty crush with one of the pumas over the weekend. I think that's also on social way. He literally just powered off down a ravine. I've been on those Monte Carlo rally Rhodes. It's like, you know, it's like going at the canyons near LA, a lot of time there are no barriers or even if there are Barry as you go over the top. And then they send cartwheel down the cliff and yeah, and then the next thing you see is catalyst guy going out backside first and you're either okay or you're not right. I did I did a rally many years ago and there's a British co driver in the fortune got killed a couple a few rallies later and the treat where you hit a tree and you know it's still it's amazing what they walk away from, but it's still a dangerous sport, but yeah, I mean extraordinary skill, incredible stuff. Yeah, it's the whole thing is kind of nuts, but it was kind of exciting to see and congratulations to them for winning. There's a lady to go back to teaching at this point or she gets some kind of bonus maybe. I heard that maybe AC back in the classroom on Monday. And what I like about lobby actually both, but certainly about Sebastian is he looks 48. You know you get, you know you get these like Bill, obviously who don't look. And the guy looks 48. Look at the pictures of him, you know, he's got these kind of like weather beaten face, he looks, he looks a bit, but he was like a championship gymnastic gymnast at his teams. It is teens, so his signature is doing a back flip like a standing back on the podium. He was still able to do that at 48 as well. So he's like, it's like, I don't really like hero worship people, but he's pretty much up there in terms of yeah, you know, just in terms of skill sets, amazing. Yeah, by the way, I like that shirt you got on there, Bill. I knew you were gonna say. Big man's wearing his Provo sure. Make sure we get some screenshots of that at some point. Is this an alcoholic beverage that you might have something to do with? Yeah, it might be. Tell us a little bit. I guess we got to get into the EV part of the discussion at some point, so why don't we just touch on that for a minute? Tell us a little bit about the Hyundai. Because you guys got your hands on, is the ionic. The ionic 5? Yeah, the ionic 5, which is looks like something out of the 80s. It's also it's a cool looking car, sister car to the Kia EV 6. Yeah, we've been really impressed with it. It starts to cut the car we had was like a fully loaded dual motor all wheel drive thing, which was like 56 grand, but actually that's not really, I think where the sweet spot is, the sweet spot.

"hyundai " Discussed on Tesla Daily: Tesla News & Analysis
"Sometimes not always, but definitely seems to have some sort of access to information. Anyway, this account posted on Twitter today, quote, such a big surprise, see you Friday. End quote. Now remember this account only ever posts about China domestic sales, so I would assume they're excited about a big number specifically for that and for context we have to look back at what domestic sales have been in previous months rather than looking at total production. And the peak for domestic sales for any one month was back in September at the end of Q three at right around 52,000 vehicles. So I would assume this implies a better number than that for December. Still, though, because this is the last month of the quarter, the export number might be small, even though Tesla says that they're trying to unwind the delivery wave. Old habits die hard, so I wouldn't expect a huge export number in December. So even a really strong domestic delivery number might not be quite as encouraging as it might seem at first. Me personally, I would be very happy with any number above 60,000. That's sort of in the ballpark of what I expect for production for Giga Shanghai for December. The other news that we have for China is that it is being reported that four 2022, China will lift the foreign investment restrictions, which require for an automakers to operate under joint ventures in China. That will be lifted, and now they can own 100% of their Chinese operations. Now, of course, for Tesla, that doesn't change anything because Tesla was granted an exception to that and does already have 100% ownership of their operations in China, but still, that will level the playing field for others to now do the same. All right, last item for today is on Hyundai the Korea economic daily is reporting that Hyundai is closing the engine development division at their R and D center in South Korea to instead focus on development of electric powertrains and an email they acquired from the R and D chief, reads quote, now it is inevitable to convert into electrification, our own engine development is a great achievement, but we must change the system to create future innovation based on the great asset from the past. So I think definitely encouraging to see that smart move by Hyundai in my opinion and this continues to put the writing on the wall, which I think we have all seen for a long time, but again, kind of like we talked about in that interview with Alex botter the more decisions like this that are made, the clear the message is to supply chains and other stakeholders as well. On where things are heading and how quickly. So that is it for today then, as always, thank you for listening. Make sure you subscribe and sign up for notifications. You can also find me on Twitter at Tesla podcast. And we'll see you tomorrow for the Wednesday December 29th episode of Tesla daily. Thank you..

"I've only ever owned one car. She was my first grownup purchase. After graduation it became quickly evident. That the scooter. I'd used zip around campus. Wasn't going to cut it on the streets of seattle. My dad helped me find her on e. bay. She was a used. Two thousand two hyundai santa fe with skin peppered and dense. She'd previously been involved in a rollover situation but her guts were unharmed while her previous owner wasn't thrilled at the thought of hanging onto an imperfect vehicle. I was poor and open to the idea. She costs seven thousand dollars. It was a fortune. Then let's be honest also now but she seemed worth it as she was sturdy. Safe and even trendy. If you squinted your eyes and allowed for creative liberties. I was bigger than still swollen with the possibilities of the lives. I might lead a wealthy novelist a stylish professor or quirky artist a journalist and actor or maybe a movie director but most of all a dancer. Fuck i wanted to be a dancer so badly in made my stomach hurt if i reflected on it too long as i couldn't possibly want something that much and not get it. I was certain everything would work out. I drove the santa fe. Too many exotic locations my retail jobs. My performing jobs might teaching jobs. My dance students thought she was cool. And everyone knows high-schoolers get to decide these things. I started a dance company. I piled costumes props and dancers into the santa fe and drove them to every show. I could book. my friends. were beginning to quit dance. Giving up the old dream for husbands and office jobs. I decided to be better than that. I was going to dance forever. I was probably going to drive the santa fe forever because there was no way i'd ever afford another car on what i was making foreshadowing. I hold onto

"The BBC is heard fresh reports of ethnic cleansing integrate T grain forces are continuing to extend their control of the region, prompting the Ethiopian government to abandon a unilateral ceasefire. More fighting is now expected in the west of Tigre, an area close to the water with Sudan from where our Africa correspondent Andrew Harding reports. They gave us two days to leave home to to get out of former because we are immigrants. I definitely recommend for actors putting on a song that gives you confidence that makes you feel like you've got this definitely worked for me defined that when you go on dishes or and you don't really care that much that you do a better job You know there's an expression I think of. I think mentioned it before. Maybe not but Being committed but not attached. And so i'm i'm committed but i'm not like hang on my fingernails. I need so it's like i'm committed. I'm gonna go do my best. I'm gonna bring everything. It's everything that is in. My control will be at level ten in desperate place. Like if this doesn't happen. I'm going to give up a and right. Yep that's hard because the minute. That good audition comes in like i remember. I auditioned for details. And i wanted it so bad but they kept telling me you're a little too old. They say you're a little tool. They were like you too old for these parts talking about. I got such a baby face. I can little too old. I think it was like thirty at the time. And they were kids in the kids and they were like we have a role but we still your little tool. But we're going to let you own dishes for guess who beat me out for the part to method man motherfucker garden state and freaking funny for like. They said i was too old looking out. Same jackson but Yeah man like. I remember wanting it so bad and studying so harden working with my wife on it and you know her. Giving me critiques. On how i should do it in everything and me like you're absolutely right and you know going in there. And just not even close to crossing crushing the audition. Like i blew it completely right. But i was so attached to it. But i had animosity to derive towards the director. I was like man. Fuck you for not hiring me. You know like all of these things do like i four minute. I was so pissed off at george lucas. You know what. I mean like everything because i really wanted that role and i was so attached to getting that role and It's hard not to do that. It's hard you just have to. There's only so much there's only so much in your control and you can't control. Did you really put in the work and work on digital really get memorized and really we know it. Backwards and forwards. You really work on it in in multiple ways did you really prepare. When i look back at it. I definitely did. Not when i look back at it. I sneeze off here We can get off a cold water or off. good. I look back. I smoke so much weed before. I would study. I smoked weed before the audition. And i might have been trying the night before to try like you know trying to get into mode and creative and shit like that and you feel good for a couple of takes but then. That's a wrap after that bro. You know what i mean like. You're often allowing no pun intended. You're not really swimming. Riverside's you're not really in it to win it but that's just for exactly what i'm saying is that you look at be really critical of of of. Did you truly truly true. Bring your egging. did you drink the night before. Did you smoke weed that week before this all just acting but applied to your own life in any way you can you know did you. Is there anything you could have done to to have made for performance in the moment better and and then if you've done that you walk away and go okay. It's out of my hands now. I did everything i could and i can tell you from being on the other side of the table when you're director it's just you might come in blow me away with your acting but you look too much like the other guy already casks or you blow me with your acting and you know where you're going to be the brother of the woman i've already cast. There's reasons that are just so out of your control age or whatever. Yeah you know. I didn't get my looking back at it now. I know. I didn't get myself a chance to win but i was so caught up in the fact that it was it was something that i wanted and because i wanted it i should get it. You know what i mean like. There's that feeling of entitled felton title that comes with Being in the game for so long you know. That's the thing about hollywood. I always tell young people. Nobody owes you any anything. Nobody else you anything every every every step of the way you have to prove yourself like careful this woman history with a dog with no sean. It's very like. I dare them to give me an audition for star wars. Now you know what i mean by idea dog triple dog dare but that has a sense of entitlement to it. In what way. You're saying like i know that i'll be very prepared for that. I misunderstood instead of instead of being like instead of being like. Oh they're going to give getting emotional slow down so we were pulling up to over here dolly. Oh my goodness so. This is a weird. I because this is not what it was anymore but this is the john apartment building. Who would that used to be the hospital. If you ever come here. It's at the corner of riverside and whitsett across the street from mikado across the street from kado japanese sushi bar which i never went to. They would bring it to set some time. And there's a famous Industry and makeup supply namings. Don what do you feel. We spent nine years of our life on this block. I never thought they tear the hospital down. They always threatened every year there. We're gonna tear down the first. We're going a senior home. I think it is a senior. No it's not isn't no that was that was like one of the plans and it doesn't seem like a great place to live like a lot of these apartments like who lives there. Skinny that is. We're mad at being a new buildings for criticizing care. Although i have to say it is it is. It is like the stereo typic- Developer threw up apartment. I don't know why the all look like this. I'm this shit on it. Because they took our spot. I wish it was still an abandoned house. Thing your housing so many people. I know but this this this this. There's no more cartoonish example of some developer putting up an la apartment building than this. This is what they all look like. Yeah i remember so many. Like i feel like my dressing room was like right around there. You know there's so many shots like basically we're this little drive in right there is. This was the front lobby of all those scenes where you know what's what's crazy. I remember because i lived in the valley when we were making this i lived deepen the valley northridge. But when you drive by this place on the one oh one. I literally point at my dressing room addressing. That's my dressing room. And then i knew where zacks was. I knew where sarah's was anywhere janis was and you know it was a man such great memories of you know they gave us direct. Tv once with like unlimited little things. Direct tv gave us direct tv.

We can show actually the entrance and look at those mouses. How many mouses are all. I think it's i think it's like no mice meister up. There are no good in the right lane as this is providence high school. My brother coached basketball here. That's where i entered trying to tell you a story. Where can we pull in providence. High school careful tucson told us it was. I wanna override. What it thinks is your attention level and tell them you're not full coffee. Let's take a break. We'll be right back after these fine words. Hey guys and donald year to ask some of life's biggest questions. Yeah like who first discovered the powerful combination of popcorn and the movies. Is it possible to project an entire film as a hologram. We'll just like hyundai. We're questioning everything. When hyundai built the all new tucson they wanted to know how much innovation an suv could handle so they added tons of tech inside and out like a digital key. Lets you use your phone to open the car and an led daytime running light hidden within the grill. You know my favorite part of the tucson is that this is sensing how attentive you are and it brings up a little icon. Judging how attentive. You're being to the road. And when donald was driving he had a coffee cup. That was good. I like how stylish it is. Did you know the center. Council designed was inspired by an elegant waterfall. Cascading down a regal mountain now. I thought it was beautiful. But i wouldn't have said elegant waterfall cascading down a regal mountain. Okay all right well. There's an infotainment screen the size of a giant tablet. It's amazing it's beautiful. we ain't line. You can learn more about the best tucson ever at hyundai. Usa dot com. Yes so what. Can i tell you i i had a regiment that i follow when i started getting call backs for scrubs i was i would wear the same outfit blue button down shirt still how had a little bit of facial scruff which i kept and then i went to the gym and run on the treadmill for thirty minutes and i had these songs so i pulled into that parking lot on disney lot and i we've had a series of songs i would play to get me myself. Amped up and one of them was the radiohead song called. Stop whispering and the lyrics were essentially. Stop whispering start shouting. And i interpreted as like for myself. Stop being small. Stop playing tiny like go big. You know when. I i had one of those. I had two songs that were like that. And they were both by eminem won his first p and it was rock bottom and it was i. Just don't give a fuck and i used to play. I just don't give a fuck after every audition whether i blew it or i got it right. you know. it was one of those things where it was like. You know like that album for some reason really touched on before scrubs like i said before i was i had once again i was broken. I spent all of this money on his house. And you know. I wasn't managing my money. Well or anything and i I i everything just never seem to go the right way. You know what i mean. It just seemed like no matter what i did. I couldn't get there. I whether i trained really hard or you know. Or whether. I studied the night before i didn't a room and i literally blackout and be like Should i line was my personal. I live with my line and it kept happening. And when scrubs came around thank goodness it didn't happen and thank goodness for bill to be honest with you man. 'cause i don't know i don't without him being such a great cheerleader. I would've. There's no way. I would have gotten this part like i say that to say that to a lot of people. I'm one of the worst auditioners you'll ever meet but you give me the role and give me some time to work with you. Deliver what you're looking for. Well it's a good lesson to for for people filmmakers and creators out there like someone you love you know chokes the addition like. Don't give up on them because they it's there's so much pressure you know here we are. It's just like athletes. I'm sure you're you're in the locker room so to speak. Although i'm my nissan to forty six and i'm trying to get myself psyched up to not mess this up. Everything's on the line right now. It doesn't matter how many times i did it right before. All that matters when i go in this room. I'm going to do it right now. And so i would listen to that song. Stop whispering to be like you know you've been you've been being small you've been you you you haven't been bringing your best you haven't been bringing your game you're gonna go in there and start shouting and another song live listen to was blind melon's song no change You just afraid change that song songs. Well it's not necessarily the commute you listen to you know. We are not ready and listen to rap only now but at that point in time anyway Change was about like being afraid of change and not and and being intimidated by by. I dunno i entered is being intimidated by starting a new chapter. Where you're living your fault your fullest in your being your best in your fully celtics. you know. That's that's scariest for a lot of people. That's you know what i mean. Like fear of success is real care who you are you. Fear the unknown. And if you've been if you haven't been successful your whole life and it come and and you see it on the horizon. That's the easiest way to talk yourself out of stuff in here for so long you. I'm not gonna to. So what if it doesn't happen right now for me like you find ways to talk yourself out of it. Yeah that's pretty cool and like you. I'll thirty four anyway. I find that very Refreshing that you know. You can join blinking yellow. But there's cars now it's red. Don't fuck off. This is chewy for fucking drive. Carefully and goodness tucson by these safety features. Look at all these safety features easy chewy nope but that's refreshing to know that you're not the only one that feels that way so you know to hear stories like that. That's great. I definitely think It's a good idea you know. Obviously we all see athletes on tv listening to music and their self psyched up. But i think you for whatever you're doing if you wanna job interview if you're if you're Whatever you whatever task is making you nervous. Anxious put on a sars time having sex with someone tough wasn't going to say that the shore word you're like in the bathroom.

Hanks being walt disney quick tidbit would lot was la. La land come door. that's a good question. I guess would be warner brothers very very well gone. So when you're an actor in hollywood and you're going on dishes you have to drive around often to castro's offices but very often if it's television shows To the actual backlots. And there's no let's say five or six major ones and they're all spaced over town so back. In the old school way of doing pilots season you could have five or six auditions a day. And you'd have one over here and then the next one would be forty five minutes away and then the one after that back over here. And when i first moved here i think i've told you this i didn't we didn't have ups. So i had no idea what was going. Who was the name of that book that you had to get the thomson thomas and it was this elaborate map. That was like three inches thick book. I got a present for my sixteen. Th birthday my mom was like your initiated right. Abc all the number of the letters. And then all the numbers to coincide. So he's miserable was perfect for leg because it's just so crucial but that's how studios would get you to the audition. It'd be like age such and such and such and such an thomas guide and you'd be like okay to get to here. I have to do this. And then you'd have to trace it back to where you are in the thomas guide. I would connect on avenue. I told you. I think my brother would draw me these elaborate hand-drawn maps He'd be like this wild he'd be like this is from europe from our place to audition one from two different page from addition three to four this. He resumes is very sweet and he was an artist so they were like beautiful. I wish i still had that. Sounds like a game show in itself. Giving some like millennials or gen z. Kids thomas being like okay. Get here the other thing. That sucks about living on detroit. Street to get over here was always. Traffic has only traffic in this area. Whether it's going this way or this way at some point in the day right so if you worked over here to get back it would take at least an hour just to get through. This whole bar has had. His farm passes tough now over. Here is the okay. They don't call the anymore. Yeah but it's a temporary housing. Where a lot of actors who'd come into town for a little while they would stay there so expensive and children are very often. There was a documentary. That was amazing to well. Can you look for me. It's a documentary about Child actors and the oakwood apartments and because their families would come into town for pilot season. And they live in these in these houses and It was something like two thousand three hundred four thousand dollars a month or some crap and it was. If you didn't get the furnished one like it was this was. It was a pain in the butt now as hollywood complex. That's what it's called if you wanna watch documentary about. It's called the hollywood complex. And i think they've they've finally branded because it has such a negative connotation seriously so now it's called the eva what we're not happy. Place insert back. Like i had a fitting over here for josie and the pussycats and then over here is the one brother lots of our our just pulling them to the one and runners lot. I love the wherever so pretty very pretty before the fire. What was that two years ago now. That ancient western set where like everyone was shot. All no. That wasn't here. That was that was actually. That's a different law. The western lot was an actual lot. That was the film on another. Ny northville academy seasons time. Here's donald coasters. You're still in this one up right now. You need to be young sheldon did you. Addition for young show you could have been young auditions for show. You could have an old sheldon all american. Look at taye diggs. Like taye diggs baby. Taye diggs made the way. He's all american like the. Cw number one show dude. It's like a modern friday night lights. Oh yeah has a really big part in all american. It's about football yes. They're spin off his about h. s. b. c. Let's say that right z. your hvac. i don't know why i think. Hsp's colleges and universities. I was like waiting. This billboard has always been so keen to me and this one here. We're in the hydros and that's such an iconic spot because everyone who comes to into this part of the valley where all the lots are sees that billboards everything. I wanna make going in style for warner brothers who controls that billboard and was like i have one request kinda me at least the on that billboard and they said yes so we had like a month up. Let's go that's the best thing is just such a pivotal horse billboard in in in the valley everyone sees it. Yeah everyone sees it all right. This is usually the gate right up here this next gate around this corner and everything. That's joe addition down there but the bring the actors in the back door. We don't want you messing up the front or close. No gene on lives their bills bills offices in one of those. That's all right. So we're getting close plays phobos particular and the perfect mother are really just like about a whole foods like no. I think i'm turning full on. Oversight were pat also passing. The iheart studios is where two years ago. He showed up for the podcast. I think this is where jay leno used to be the tonight. She all of overwatch league homer. Watch your house over. Watches video games guys. Who don't talk about that. For a second. Sorry distorted kim. One of the last places in town still develops film. Wow blessed really giving a good tour of. "Because you were famous I had i had competition there. Were three there. Were two dudes whom. I knew very well and Partied with and and they both auditioned for scrubs at the studio with me and i still blue. The auditioned man wanted him almost. Got that job. If it wasn't for bill coming out and be like dude. Come on get it together right but it's a lot of pressure because you start auditioning in smaller locations that all of a sudden but this all this all goes full circle because where we're going with. This is the route. I would take to take that girlfriend. I told you about to her job would drop her off on this very same lot so my life came the nookie to bar him on his way. You know there's a side street also that you can turn onto. Took the one on one okay. Yeah it's it's it's boulevard. Actually but he's gonna go to coin. I know there's an sue. The sidestreet over here is coined also next to the freeway and then turns into highland wild. Oh i knew you were talking about you. Know what goes on the side of the freeway left and then you cross over media totally also ballot. The past as my favorite burger in la right now. Wednesday through sunday. On the corner. Of sycamore or sycamore and sunset. Pablo called chris and eddie's they're about to have their first brick and mortar at western and sunset. And they do a smash slider and it's my favorite burger right now side. Note that i will cut out at the episode. Very shout out all of these great breast telling people who don't live in la when they come to la where to go eat out. Here was the spaghetti factory so there are no immediate was. I never been there. What is i've heard. It was like it was literally what it's called the spaghetti factory. Who's the worst tasting spaghetti franchise. So it's all over the place right across from the san diego convention center every year one of the groups of fifty to me. Let's just go to spaghetti factory. Who i'll just get a drink. it's fine anyway. Everything kind of came full circle. Because now i was on the verge of getting a really life changing job and it just happened to be on the very same backlot. Always be in place where you have all of these bad memories and then come back better stronger. Well it's really interesting. There's cert there's some places where i'm like. I don't think i've ever done a movie or project for this for this studio like i've done a paramount job since clueless i think if i if i'm correct and you know warner brothers. I remember i couldn't break. I couldn't get into a one of brothers anything for the longest and the last few things that i've done have been warner brothers but i remember being like driving by 'cause you know how they put the pictures up on the on the sides of the studios. I don't think i've ever been. Maybe i've been in sony thing. Yeah i did a breakdown of it. Was that sony. But you know you drive by and you see all these pictures and you like one day. That's going to be my picture. That's yet to happen until scrubs when we did scrubs and it went into syndication. I remember us being on every fucking bus in new york city. Oo and all my friends being like you're everywhere right now. That was old. Hollywood athletic club right. That is the best place to have a fancy dinner dinner but like event in play pool and everything. But i remember being like. This is the best while. I've made it when the bus drove by. I i remember going to new york and it not dawning on me that i was on the bus until somebody was like. I was sitting in the car with my dad. He looked over and he was like get the he was like. Look at this. And i looked over and it was uh scrubbing in whatever the post three of us where was it. It was in new york like on some street and he and just my dad being like. Wow my son is on a bus. But i was oblivious to it reunited me like i looked over i was. I hate when people do that. Gee sorry reminding us solo. Aren't you a music. This was our our last green. John freaking her last great beautiful movie tutor before pandemic happen. Here's here's a question. Who buys the arc light. Or who buys the ramadan tino does. He's got enough money to do it. Yourself the hollywood landmark so it's protected. They can't get older. They're not saying you down. But i just think it'll be netflix. Show that's that'd be cool. That'd be really cool actually out here. I'm gonna check your okay so check this out. Let me check your total level. It's still high on check. This out does see this right here. Joseph's with is yeah. My first manager ever in the history of being managed was tracey edmonds and this was edmonds entertainment right here where we are and this prompted one night zach and i got to go to the playboy mansion tracey edmonds and we went to kenny. Babyface edmonds was. That thing was like did this was. This was his thing and right here. This used to be a convenience store. That wasn't really a convenience store weeds. Mine for pop up or some a long list. Any none of them got on masks. I know nassar done. I guess look at these people not even six weeks apart. It looks like Oh my god that's seems like responsible and we just passed the hotel cafe which is where a lot of our friends Play music and a great place to see live music. If you come to los angeles this right here. Do you remember this. Joseph's right josette clervoy her. I remember seeing yucca. Spend the rest of my life living on. That's vince. Vaughn in the masterpiece. Made i still say this man to this day. Vince vaughn and Royal family to do another one me too. Because i don't know if enough people saw me i don't know if enough people saw swingers swears i don't know man. Everyone sauce old now. Is it still relevant. Feel the same. Know if you're listening to this and you haven't seen swingers to see swingers and then you need to follow it with me. You stole my van. I don't like you for means. Mike redeem man. So we're on our way to disney law which you can not give tours of the disney law. Not anymore they used to. It's a cool place though. Fun fact about the disney lot built it He was planning to disneyland right next to it but the city was like you're going to make us look like a carney town get out And so that's when they went to Anaheim but as he was building up the lot he region older buildings were earthquake. So being built in the early fifties. You'll if you look at it. All the bricks are made as they shift the kind of like shipping. Hold back into one another wild and won't fall down. Its.

"There's always a light at the end of the tunnel for me. It was for me. it was clueless for you. It was your friend that worked at was a manager at a restaurant this woman. I'll never forget. She saved me and she she put me on. And if y'all remember the opening scene of garden state or the opening sequence where. I'm working in a french. Vietnamese restaurant was based on this real life. Experience did put it in a movie. Yeah but it was very hard time. Because i i never i was dealing with the we even tax. It's it's like you're like. Is this going to be a part of my life. Like how do i get this under control. And i really had to start seeing therapists to start tackling it because basically my anxiety kind. It's kind of like the dam breaks in your anxiety reaches a point for some people. I'm one of them where it's like. The dam broke like pack. Attack are a possibility now if if his daddy dipping to read that's all you need. Is that little bit of a little. Bit of panic. Like one panic attack and then you'll have for the rest of your life. That's why we go. Well no you just of all you know how to prevent it from happening how to handle it when it does happen. You gain a whole tool chest that you didn't have right but it's like if you think about a car needle going into red all of a sudden it's like you breakthrough and realize that. That is a possibility that that can happen to you. And so you need to manage it just like your car manages changing gears right. You have some experience with this. I i was very broke and i very similarly like came out here also with five thousand dollars which is strange for those of you listening. Don't try to move to la with five grand now. This is two thousand twenty fourteen. How it was done in like six lasted six months. I didn't last that long. It was very very chaotic. In horrible and i was broke but fortunate enough to work in an industry that was constantly shifting the around the world to cover different events but it was like my first time out on my own and it was a lot of things but also when i landed. I didn't have any money so i was like. Where are you feeding. The journalists like we under eagles. Here i will eat four bagels. That won't be like breakfast and lunch and then we'll figure out dinner later. And so yeah when i was at a tiff. Toronto international film festival. I've been having small panic attacks where it's like okay. I just really breath and work on it and get through it. But i- overbooked myself. And i was doing red carpets for the second time in my life. Those are very stressful. As a journalist. And i had a pack tax so bad i had to like i. I didn't know where it wasn't or housing. It back to my place didn't have any money. I was like couldn't inhale and luckily my friend was like well. My hotels like two blocks away. Can you make it. And i was like just gimme. They're more know what happens on. The floor curled them into the field position and luckily she has some things or something and in knocked me out they are. I wouldn't panic attacks on my worst enemy. They come out of nowhere and they're so debilitating but once you get your toolkit in order and you know like okay. It's happening and how to work through it. You also die. Wants once you gringos. No you won't die from this like calm down but the first time it happened and i remember a theater and i was sitting next to. This is crazy. I was sitting next to my acting. Professor doctor david downs. And i take taking him to see a play that i've seen in new york i really liked and i wanted to show it to him. Because it was a production out here. Production on here was a totally different cast and was not nearly as good and sitting the audience. And i just. I felt embarrassed. I want you impress him. That i found play. He was like my my mentor that he that he would really like. And he's one of those guys. My dad was the same way like something. They wanna let you know. So there's a lot of like my dad would do the same thing movie theater. He wanted everyone around him that he did not like in the movie. It was so it's such an annoying trait like felt. But i remember my teacher was was sort of non vibing and was doing some sighing. And i and i. And i felt embarrassed and i knew the play wasn't as good as what i'd seen in new york and i of course the ingredients were there. I was already in anxious state. And i remember my lungs tightened up and i could breathe. It was like someone was standing on my chest. And then your brain does. What is your brain. Do you start playing it out. You ain't gonna have to come. The i'm going to stretch your filtering out this theater seeing me on a stretcher what is professor gonna think and just start snow box now. Both snowballing. that's called spiraling. How'd you get out of that one. A now i'll tell you how it got. It was miraculously. I was able to do it. But i had taken a few yoga. Classes start newly into getting in yoga and a big part of yoga is quieting your mind and doing long quiet breaths and while watching this playbook quote quote unquote washing next to this dude and went into a yoga breath session where i was just slowing down my breath and i fully. I didn't know what it was. I didn't know was a panic attack. But i i talked myself out where when i was a kid. They used to take us to my parents and my aunts and uncles. And everything like that. Take all of the kids to the and in new york and you know there was this dude Moved nanda and his When he passed away his protege Cool ramaya took over. And i remember seeing people like lisa bonet like a bunch of actors and stuff there and what you do literally you would just go there and you would work as you know labor on at the ashram or you would meditate and i remember that you know that are remember when i first it was literally sitting there..

"Had the five dollars foot. Long ralph's sold giant sub. Then you can have made. It would cost five bucks. I couldn't believe this. It was too good to be true. Because i knew for five bucks i can have lunch and dinner and And that's how we eat. Because i just i didn't have a job and just cold cuts all day long. Well yeah cold cuts for lunch coke for dinner Mood with the breakfast relationship. I skip breakfast goal. Streaky buddy and call go cowboy. Yeah you're right okay. So what happened. So i started relationship. Starting to get really stressful. Because i hold on the left here second. Oh my god. I really emotional. I've not been back here in in Since two thousand twenty one years welcome back and it's in the same city as you cannot go by. You guys broke up too though right so so yes well so so basically i. I couldn't operate you can't operate in la card this before uber. Obviously now you can. But it's very hard to operate was very hard to operate And so what i would do is. I would get up in the morning and i would drive to work. She worked on the disneyland. Which we're going to end with it. Because that's where you and i had some our final editions for scrubs So i would get up. Drive her to work right. And then i'd have the car to go addition or to. You know do a couple of things but with la traffic. I didn't have that much time before. I had to pick up a five. Yes i certainly couldn't be little three because she would scream me so i had to. I had to calculate the day right. Because if i was going to have to and then like shower and like you know do a handful meaning maybe work out i. I then head back to the valley to go to the couple more blocks. I think it's the next block. Also this a big orthodox jewish community over here because they a lot of the orthodox there because they can on the sabbath. When they don't drive they can walk to their synagogues. Yeah you're right uniform almost hancock park. It's a big difference between my first experience here and your first well again. Yeah yeah i but you sound like you had a smidgen. More than i did does sound like doing cpr. You were heartbroken so anyway. The release shift started getting really stressful. Because she was never pleased with me. And i didn't have any money and we would like drive by a billboard for something exciting and she'd be like oh i wanna go see that and i was just thinking like supposed to say here like i can't take you to that. I can't afford and start getting really insecure. Because you know she was. She was sort of increasing her resentment of me. Because i couldn't do things. I said the honest things like. If you wanna do that you can pay for us to do that. I i can't. And i'm so sorry i can't do that for you but i would just roll their eyes and it was really tricky and i started. This is what i started. Never really spoke about this. But i started getting panic attacks shit. Have you end up having attack man. Well you've had one. Yeah the ramp to be on the floor and just debriefing scariest thing like a falling on a roller coaster for me. Imagine your lungs. Tighten up and you can't get air new and then you're then so you're you're human self that you're adrenaline spikes because you think you're dying and then you start this lou. I can't breathe. My lungs aren't working. And then that makes you a long time and then it just circles and circles and you think you're dying and especially the first time it happens you it's never happening before you just can't get air into your lungs and you think you've got to call him. Let's dying what's happening. it's happening so frigging scary and that started happening because of my my anxiety of being in this relationship and i'm not putting on on the woman shoots all responsibility i was i was but you broke broken hollywood man and you came out here because of her Thinking that that that would save the relationship. Yeah and it didn't. Because when i got out of here the pressures were so strong and i remember i was homesick and i was calling Our jong back to jersey. After that. No so i was out here and i would call on the landline. I would call on her landline again. I sell yet and she had a cellar remember and it was sort of like it was a time when wisconsin fancy and and and she would give it to me during the day. But i didn't want to use it 'cause expensive but i would call my family and friends on her landline and i remember. She got her landline long distance. Bill and she was like what is this. And i think it was one hundred bucks or something and i was like. Oh i just bit homesick. Just check notable. She's like well. That's a lot of money you should. You should reimburse me for this. And i was like okay. Yeah you're right. i'm sorry. I so i remember. I was giving her the money or the landline usage. How are you paying for them when you had no mine. I turn tricks like what we talked about this. Charge the ralph's around the perfect sites. Five bucks a handy. So then what happened after the how so. We ended the relationship. Obviously it was just it was it was not healthy for us and And i moved in with michael weston. And i got it. I got a job at the movie together. Michael weston. i did the movie together. And then i. I called an old friend. Who was no. I didn't know you guys working coast together. Right newman acquaintance in college. But it wasn't until broken hearts club where the audition where we got reacquainted and we became friendly again but so what happened. The next place. We're going to go to is where i waited tables. I called an old friend. I'd never waited on a table in my life. But i knew there was hot. There was a very hot restaurant in town called colonial. It was a french vietnamese restaurant. And i happen to know a friend of my old friend of mine was the manager and i called her and i said look. I need your help. I have never win able. I know this is a very fancy restaurant. But i'm a bit destitute. I really need job. Please help me and she did. She brought me on. She said you're going to have to make it. I didn't know anything. I didn't know how to use the computers. Anything and she. This woman really saved me. And i got a job at the restaurant and and that's when things changed that's a good movie right there in itself to though you know what i mean like. That's like swingers kinda where everybody is very familiar to swing. That was what made them movie so amazing. But it's like you move out to hollywood to become something that you dream about and they don't tell you about the crazy stuff that goes on before that all happens they don't tell you about the umbro can living in your girlfriend's house with two dick heads who want to out. You know what i mean. They don't tell you about a landlord or fucking neighbor who Just wants to make your life a living. Hell they don't tell you about no dough and how it's really hard to eat out here when you don't have money and.

"With all right. Now we're gonna go to my the first place. Ice steve when i was in los angeles now you stayed now. What was your deal. You moved here. I remember you moving here with a girl. Let me tell you the story I went to sundance for the very first time. And i like fell madly in love with a woman that i met at sundance. And she was the woman i ever met an she at the time and she was just so cool and it was so exciting. What did she do for a living. She worked at on the disney lot for producer. And i didn't have a car. I didn't have a dime. So i was in a movie at my first Great part called gain. No you with michael. Weston and heather monterey also and we went to sundance which is a big deal. And while there i met this woman and she was just i was just like drop jawed and we really hit it off. But she was here and i was new york. We're gonna try and do the long distance thing and and so she lived in this house with two other guys. One was an actor and eventually became very successful agent. But they were like you know all roommates in this duplex and and it was really. I came out here with with. No money was stressful. Because it just didn't. I wanted to wanted to impress her and have her stay interested in me but i just had no money. I had didn't have a car. I didn't have a cell phone this like right at the beginning of cell phones. And i certainly couldn't afford one and so i and she was like living in the small back room. Like i think this one day was probably like the maid's quarters back in the day of the house. It was like. I swear you it was. She was in vincent's quarter. She was inventions quarters. I'm not exaggerating. Her bedroom was basically the size of a king size bed. She had like a double bed in their my god and we cram in there. I had nowhere to put my stuff. So i would like an idea. I was so worried that the the her fellow roommates would be mad. Because i was like there without without paying any and they certainly were not too into it At all been that position. But like i was trying to hide where my clothes were and i remember. One of the roommates came in. He's actually paying rent and he's like yeah That spot where. You're keeping your clothes. And i was a guy goes. Yeah my girlfriend's getting had that spot for her clothes boy and i was like. Oh okay so. I pulled all my clothes out of that one little spot found and then all of a sudden they all hurt closer. Look no took the nothing. Close them kind of a bitch dough for saying that shit. But i mean putting yourself in his position. He was paying the most random sure because he had the nicest room and here. I am this guy. I'm using his house. I'm using his kitchen space. And i'm not paying any rent. But neither was his girl. I know but he probably justified again. But i don't care. I'm paying rent. You're not i don't know anyway. He's a nice guy. But i'm sure he is a nice guy that that was a bitch move. I remember him telling me like one time. This is the kind of guy he was. He's lovely actually. But but i think tensions for having me in the house were growing and he opened the fridge and i was in the kitchen. He goes who is putting low traffic items in the high traffic spot of the refrigerator. Light and i was like what he's like there is no need for this mayonnaise to at the forefront in the middle shelf. That's the way it is not used often. It needs to go in the back like this. Do you can fix that yourself. The energy also. I didn't wear to poop. Because i didn't want proven her bathroom right. Because then you're embarrassed that you stunk it up right something. When those guys weren't i would go poop in their mouth but they didn't have toilet brushes leave a few streaks alabama remembered for homing. Someone girlfriend called me sick. Hey was talking about something like never want to hear that. She's like some of the guys are saying that you're streaking up. There barris own anxiety. I ever since then. I always make sure that there's ready in case we're about to do any and nights when drunk out of my mind before i got home pinks. Oh my god. I wonder who's who's lining up for pink made. That was delicious. They do a number on your stomach to comic bookstore. I used to go there so this is a very popular. Tourist location was closed for covid. But they're open. Open pinks hotdogs lineup. This line is like very long to hot. Dogs were huffy so one times. Pinks hotdogs did a thing on scrubs and they let me have a bunch of like if something like more than i could possibly use before they would perish. And i. I remember being like dude. I got pigs dogs for days. Because i used to love this place and the people that came to set remembered me see over texas out vehicle is driving away tells the off in case you weren't paying they goma and also it. Lets you know. Calculates your attention level and it's just telling donald that his attention level is high and it has little icons coffee. That's so funny what it looks the road idea yet to experience that one. Because i'm very good driver. Zach braff also. This is also cool. The tucson tells you when your last break from driving was that's why so don. We've stopped for outside his apartment so it says it's been six minutes last break. That's why that's really. That's wow lot of attention to save. Left plane yes off. The camera comes up. You guys see us told us whole told us. It's been six minutes since you last group to your own icon of like a sad face that comes haven't rubbed you friends all right. So so i come out here and She lives fortunately next to ralph's that we're gonna pass if you're not from an l. La ralphs supermarket and way before subway.

"Dj for a little bit in. I'll take the mail. Tomorrow reminds me your wedding when we had in my house. I don't know if i told the story. But i went around the all close neighbors. That's the story. And i gave him gift baskets and this lady put in my mailbox staple on the other side of the sweet note i'd written. She flipped it over and written in block handwriting. I will be calling the police. The second i'm disturbed. And then she stapled the local noise ordinance rules so he's a paper back my mailbox. She can't suspend you're comfortable this for like and then by the way this woman they came to set up a tent for donald sweating. She called the police on them hitting the fucking stakes into the ground. Tend not your personal security force like home. Desa cycle waste of waste of taxpayers. Come out to to up to a complaint about hammering a stake in the ground. I miss this placement and we used to have it was another. That lived here. The Power of Audio with Audioburst founder and CEO Amir Hirsh
"Historically it's becoming more and more accessible but how can audio be more accessible so when we started audio your we analyzed. How come we as a personal fans of podcasts in your content and radio content as well thought that there's always all the answer that you want and all the content exists out there. How come he doesn't pick up on the internet. The hukou doesn't pick up on the new digital world and age the same as text and video n. there were several challenges that we've analyze and found them that what we've built around in order to solve his that audio in many aspects is not very easily discoverable. So you can't search audio. You can't came on your. You can't share argue a lot of the times. The audio content was one hour or forty. Five minute long of podcasts or radio show now is very accessible. You can't search for it. You can't look for specific clip or area that you'd like to listen instead of listening fully immersed into the whole show and you couldn't share any of it so what we've done in audio versus that we've built an ai engine that listens to vast amount of audio content. Have it be podcasts. Radio online videos that pretty much became slide with the audio content behind it and in an essence does three actions wanted analyzed it and cut it into short clips so we were able to take a long form show and cut it into the individual items that conversations the topics the questions that happened within it allowing users to get into specific point than sample what they're looking for the second is that we've index each clip that the we call burst we've added as much as possible transcriptions keywords entities source time a mood analytics number of speakers. There's plenty of dimensions that we've added to each clip like that so we'll be able to find it afterwards when the user can't and then we've added that delivery mechanism. Api layer and then on top of it as decay an imitable player for the web and libraries for and android to allow the different products and the different places where users are today to add an embiid audio layer to their products the main essence and misses that we wanted to do an auburn while making acceptable is making it extremely easy for products to add an audio layer and our dimension to what they're offering to their clients and to their users instead of asking the uses to come look for audio summer to come download an app or look for it online. We said no. I want the to be able to listen to their podcasts. Within the running up on the websites to be able to add the audio interview of the person mentioned within the article in the article itself and available that way. We're working on integration with podcasts. Search and audio playlist to be added to automotive to oem's and tier one. So when we drive. I want the or your car to greet you. Good morning. Allen here's the Traffic report and here's what happened in the news. And by the way. I know that you asked about tesla stock last night. Now i'm sorry a couple of days ago here is a couple of Analyst talking about it. That i've found over the night while you were sleeping. That kind of mechanism makes audio is easy and accessible to users wherever they are whenever they are just a touch away or command away or click away and that's the mission that we've done in august and it's quite the future picture. Frankly it's happening today. Alan i gotta tell you so. No no i know. I know it's it's amazing to me. I know you've you've been spending a ton of time building the tech in the meta data structures to make that possible and you talked about a few of the potential customers or ecosystem that you operate in like the news aggregate or the even the automotive industry. Can you go a little deeper for me. Like tell me a little bit more about like where audio burst operates today and like what are some additional use cases where you see your technology fitting in happy to one you remember. We started this conversation with you calling me crazy so i still need to convince you whether you know or futuristic or it's happening today. We were lucky enough happy enough to have multiple great partners invest in our company and work with us hand in hand to build this future. Earth with juristic thing. So you'll see among our investors for example samsung and hyundai and denso giants from the mobile and consumer electronics through the automotive and media world. That have joined with us in this effort to make this happen and that was an incredible. That is an incredible journey for us to do. Other birds today is live and via our player in. Api's and as decays in our have added all your to mobile apps such as flipboard the news break to websites of variety sizes of styles of and topics verticals with our impeccable player. And i think on the automotive that you said sounds of fridge ristic we have a few not live yet but few sees that we're working with leading oem's fortunately i'm not allowed to disclose on unique playlists to be added to their infotainment system to search engine behind voice activation. So you'll say hey name your Favorite car what's the latest on president by then or what's going on with the dallas cowboys or howled the markets of behaving today and you know the for time-to-time some of the existing voice activation will give you a robotic answer. A some clipper what auburn is offering them to dan. The what we're doing with them is the will provide you with the latest clip from professionally produced provider of the content from experts in the media world from the analysts from the best radio stations. Or podcast that will really give you an answer that you'll enjoy listening to that. You can stay focused on that you can listen for you know a few minutes of enrichment content while you dr. So and companies that were working with that are adding the sinking ability into smart earbuds. So you can do it in your car when you jog on when you run either from your app from earbud itself. These are exciting times. I can tell you. In the beginning. It took companies and customers of our some time to adapt and understand the message that we've done but twenty twenty really opened their eyes and saw how much the uses are dying to get talk content and podcasts and user errors. The case every brandon every company out there all of a sudden can become an audio media world and audio media provider. Because they don't need to be worrying about that layer they just add this became we handle everything for them and delight their users. It's pretty. I mean it's amazing. What the infrastructure that you've built behind the scenes if you will of these different applications at frankly proliferation i guess of where it could show up. I mean some amazing amazing platform that you're building from online news sites to encourage experiences to while on the go to your point. I mean i think that is the power of audio is that it can pretty much follow you throughout your day without interrupting. Whatever it is that you need to be doing at that moment in time or where you need to be going. that's amazing.

Apple and Hyundai-Kia pushing toward deal on Apple Car
"Apple close to finalizing a deal with the honda kia to manufacture an apple branded self driving electric car. Wanna get straight to the man who has the news With exclusive details the lebow fill great reporter andrew it yes it would be an understatement to say that this would be huge early for the auto industry but also for apple when you look at what is possible here the multiple sources who tell me that they are working towards a deal all make it clear that these are talks that have been going on for some time and that they are moving towards a deal now whether or not it gets finalized that remains to be seen. They're keying in on production at the key plant in west point georgia. That's about ninety miles. Southwest of atlanta. It would be autonomous electric vehicle scheduled for release in twenty twenty four. But the people i talk with say look that could get pushed back to twenty twenty five twenty twenty four. They're going to have to start making steps fairly quickly if they're gonna meet that timeline and here's the most important part. It would have apple hardware and software in other words. This would be an apple car. This would not be apple software underneath a key a model. This would be an apple car. They're keenly focused on making sure that the user experience by the way it fits in with the apple ecosystem. That's a big part of this. The georgia plant by the way. It does have capacity available. And there is the key escape. Skateboard hyundai kia has an ev skateboard. But basically think about that as the platform underneath the vehicle it can be adapted depending on what the top hat of the vehicle would be that could be utilized by apple as they're working on this apple car. We reached out to apple yesterday. It declined to comment on this report or the questions we had for them. We also reached out to hyundai kia hyundai kia. Spokesperson declined to comment on the questions that we put to them regarding finalizing deal with apple one other stock or a couple of others. I wanna focus on here general motors. Why take a look at general motors. Well clearly if apple does develop an apple car and gets into this ecosystem with let's say a vehicle that is for robo taxis or for package delivery firms. Eventually it would also be a vehicle that perhaps or their vehicles that perhaps people would buy as part of their own personal buying vehicle. I'm going to buy an apple car. What are the implications for general motors. And all of the automaker's. We talked to mary barra about three weeks ago when some of these i reports were first bubbling up and we asked her this specific question. What does it mean if apple gets into this game. Here's what she had to say. I'm probably not the right person to ask what apple's plans are. We consider them to be a formidable competitor. So that's why we're working with all the capability. We have with our technology to go as fast as we can to To really satisfy in delight the customer in our vehicles and create that relationship and just incredible overall ownership experience. And guys i. I'm sure there will be some questions during the analyst called for ceo. Jim farley about the landscape in terms of competition maybe not a specific question on apple getting into the auto business as an automaker but clearly This is a space that is developing quickly and again we have talked with multiple sources who say that apple and hyundai kia. They are moving down the path towards finalizing a deal for production of an apple car in georgia.
Apple and Hyundai-Kia pushing toward deal on Apple Car to be built outside of Atlanta
"There are reports that Apple is close to finalizing a deal with Hyundai Kia to bring out an apple branded electric car. According to CNBC. The self driving electric vehicle would be built Kia's assembly plant in West Point, Georgia. That's about 80 miles southeast of Atlanta. The Apple car is being developed by a team of Apple scientists and is tentatively scheduled to go into production in 2024.
Super Bowl advertising will look different this year
"The Super Bowl during a pandemic will look different on the field, and so will the ads because of the pandemic. Some big brand names will not be advertising during the Super Bowl. Pepsi COKE Hyundai Kia, They decided to sit out this year and it's need room for a whole bunch of newcomers. Judean Poggi with at age says the ads will reflect the changes in our lives because of the pandemic. Scots, for example, let's keep this backyard thing going. That's why Scots and Miracle Gro want to give you a chance to win the lawn and garden. Your dreams. You even have diapers advertising in the Super Bowl for the first time with Huggies too. Potently goes for telling a story. What if this could change the world? A burrito? Yeah, You're so weird This year. You actually seem more people really engaging with the ads and spending time watching the adds more so than in the past. I'm Ed
Apple and Hyundai-Kia pushing toward deal on Apple Car
"Have confirmed from multiple sources. That apple is in discussions with hyundai kia to build an apple car. If you will it'll be a car that would be designed and developed by apple it will be built potentially at the kia plant in west point georgia that's about ninety miles southwest of atlanta. They have some available capacity there and according to our sources apple and hyundai kia are close to finalizing an agreement. That would have that car built by hyundai kia here. In north america we have reached out to spokespersons for both apple as well as hyundai kia. Both of them declined to comment on this report. But we have it from multiple authorities that this is going down the track. Melissa that apple will be building an apple cart tentatively scheduled for production to start in two thousand twenty four. But all of the sources that we've talked to have said look. This could get pushed back to twenty. Twenty-five nothing is written in stone in terms of. It's actually going to be rolling out at that time but it will be an autonomous electric vehicle. The focus on that last mile which is so critical. Whether it's for roy taxis or package delivery firms in at least initially. That's going to be the focus of this vehicle. Melissa back to you remind me is hyundai. Kia the initial company that was and then the deal was allegedly scrapped. Because they had gone to the press about it and it's okay. Yes but i should also point out busa almost everybody that i've talked with this. Who is familiar with these. Discussions has said. Don't be surprised if apple is also in talks or has had talks with other automakers here an exclusive in terms of hey. This is the only company that we're going to work with and also says the same thing is we've seen this repr- reporting in the past with with apple and then nothing happens so at this point nothing has been finalized but our sources indicate that they do plan on building an apple car here in the us and that they are targeting that kia plant in west point georgia
