And Russia has claimed control today over the last Ukrainian stronghold in an eastern province that is key to achieving a major goal of its invasion, but Ukraine's president says the fight for the city of lichens is ongoing. Stay with WTO for more. On these stories, in just minutes, 9 48. Traffic and weather on the 8s. Let's go to Joe Fox in the WTO traffic center. So the primary story is still interstate two 95 in the district, they have closed I two 95 north of Malcolm X avenue, your last chance to bail is at Malcolm X avenue, as you head northbound once you bail from it, you can take either south capital street on one side of two 95 or Martin Luther King Jr. avenue on the other to get you where you're going to either the Douglas 11th street bridges or to continue your journey on two 95, but there is a crash involving a motorcycle and for the last 15 minutes or so, they have closed all lanes of northbound I two 95 until further notice. So that is not the ideal route to go if you're headed into the district, suitland Parkway makes good alternate or if you want to cross over and take the George Washington Parkway out of Alexandria that might be another way to get into the district from the national harbor or point south. Elsewhere in Maryland on eastbound two 14 central avenue under the capitol beltway. It's the right side of the roadway in the interchange in that Cloverleaf interchange blocked, so a used caution, especially if you're merging on and off of the beltway through there. We have a couple of crashes on three 55 in Montgomery county, the first one is northbound at tuckerman lane. The second one is also northbound right in front of Lake Forest mall, and that would involve a pedestrian. And so use extreme caution as you're headed northbound follow police direction around both of those. Over in Virginia, we still have the earlier vehicle fires on the shoulder on 66 westbound as you're headed past throughout the Marshall exit exit 28. And on Berkeley and Parkway looks like they might be blocking the eastbound direction now as you head past the Burke center shopping center. Follow police direction either way, they will more than likely route you through the shopping center itself, just east of one 23, but either way, it's the crash investigation has been ongoing and will continue to for some time. Maryland Prosecutors Seek 35-Year Sentence for Gang Member

"In Maryland want a 35 year prison sentence for a gang member who admits taking part in the brutal murder of a 16 year old boy. A judge is scheduled to sentence Kevin Alexis Rodriguez Flores in two weeks. In a court filing, prosecutors say Rodriguez admits being a member of M s 13 and playing a role in the 2019 killing over the mistaken belief that the boy, a fellow member, was working with police. Prosecutors say the boy was beaten, stabbed or cut roughly 150 times at a home in Hyattsville, his body then taken to Stafford County, where it was set on fire.

Well, plenty of sunshine, but wind chills. They're gonna be in the teens. And twenties. As we continue through the day the wind will settle down after about 6 P.m. Tonight Clear skies overnight labs and sunshine Tomorrow Lighter winds. Temperatures right around 40 degrees tomorrow. Then on Monday Monday, likely weather alert. We're gonna have some rain in some snow that moves into the area, along with little sleet and freezing rain Possible. Looks like the time you push back a little bit on this. We're looking more for the second half of Monday, even possibly in the Monday night, So it does look like Monday morning, maybe drawing now. That was quite a change from yesterday when this did move in Monday morning, But now it looks like to move into the second part of Monday could start a snow and then transition to that wintry mix North and West, a little rain down to the South and East. We will continue to see some rain showers Monday night and then through the day on Tuesday before tapering off by Tuesday afternoon temperatures on Tuesday or back into the forties were dry on Wednesday and then watching another system for Thursday that could bring us some snow 27 right now in Washington, Annapolis and 25.
