The jury rejected her lawyer's arguments that she was not guilty by reason of insanity. The 37 year old could face life behind bars. Virginia is one of the toughest states in the entire country for people with a felony on their record who are trying to get their voting rights back. It's got an even tougher we're told under governor Glenn youngkin's administration. The young administration has changed the policy for restoring voting rights for people who have been convicted of a felony. Each person must now file an application and it's going to be considered on a case by case basis, a shift from the previous policy which automatically restored voting rights to people convicted of certain nonviolent felonies. Frank Anderson got his voting rights back in 2010 after serving time for felony burglary and fairfax county, he's against this change. Once you've completed your sentence, you should start acting like a citizen again. Part of the Parkway was closed for more than an hour while police investigated. Walking on D.C. streets can be a deadly proposition last year, the city had its highest number of traffic deaths than 14 years, and new research finds many D.C. drivers are not slowing down when they're supposed to, especially in school zones. 20% of drivers in D.C. travel at least ten miles an hour above the 15 mph speed limit in school zones. That's what a new study from the traffic analytics firm in Rex is showing. It found that D.C. drivers often ignore signs, telling them to slow down around schools and that speed and crash rates in school zones are similar to what they are along other roadways in the district. "72° on the eastern shore in eastern Maryland at 73 and hyattsville 70 in Fredericksburg at two 41, a man is now in jail accused of killing his coworker and a Domino's in forest film, Maryland. 29 year old Aaron butler now faces first and second degree murder charges at around 5 45 p.m. on Thursday. Police were called for shooting outside a restaurant on Donald drive near Pennsylvania avenue. There, 43 year old Fred Graham had been shot and wounded, he was taken to the hospital where he died a short time later. After an investigation, police say butler and Graham worked together at the restaurant and got into a fight, but were pulled a gun and shot the victim and ran away. Butler was arrested by prince George's county police and temple hills Friday, his first court appearance is scheduled for next month. With Luger WTO P news. Former Alexandria mayor Carrie Donnelly died on Wednesday at the age of 66. WTO's Neil Augustine reports on some of the ways he affected his city. It's the right side of the roadway in the interchange in that Cloverleaf interchange blocked, so a used caution, especially if you're merging on and off of the beltway through there. The second one is also northbound right in front of Lake Forest mall, and that would involve a pedestrian. And so use extreme caution as you're headed northbound follow police direction around both of those. And on Berkeley and Parkway looks like they might be blocking the eastbound direction now as you head past the Burke center shopping center. Maryland Prosecutors Seek 35-Year Sentence for Gang Member
"In Maryland want a 35 year prison sentence for a gang member who admits taking part in the brutal murder of a 16 year old boy. A judge is scheduled to sentence Kevin Alexis Rodriguez Flores in two weeks. In a court filing, prosecutors say Rodriguez admits being a member of M s 13 and playing a role in the 2019 killing over the mistaken belief that the boy, a fellow member, was working with police. Prosecutors say the boy was beaten, stabbed or cut roughly 150 times at a home in Hyattsville, his body then taken to Stafford County, where it was set on fire.

20-year-old woman fatally shot in Southeast Washington, DC
"Is dead and a man is wounded after a shooting last night in Southeast D. C. Using, police say While investigating the sound of gunshots on 18th Street Southeast, they found 20 year old Jordan Simmons of Hyattsville shot. He later died at the hospital. Officers also found a man shot. He was hospitalized with non life threatening injuries. Police are asking for your help solving the case. A $25,000 reward is being offered.
