"The weather who won given sports game into the blockchain's that it can do what it needs to do with the smart contracts. Pay the right people. Right and i'll take turned into nazi. Pot is bad data right. We were like. I think it was microsoft or who was actually released. Tae it was. It was a machine learning algorithm an artificial intelligence. Those put out on twitter and you can interact with the changed behavior based on how it got interacted with in like based on the things that people were sending till it in having conversations with it it immediately turned into like a white supremacist. So is this the persona was like a fourteen year old girl but it win or braces real quick because it just got unvetted bad data. You can't do that with smart contracts visit dealing with people's money and so like we've seen this this like a we made this work and it works so good but we found this other problem that we didn't realize ahead of time and it has interesting consequences to how the whole system works in one of those consequences is how you get real world data to a blockchain which is the whole concept of chain link is trying to solve like making sure that the sources or incentivized the give the right thing and penalized if not and there's a bunch of different sources that are coming together to feed a single type of data into the smart contracts so it's you have strong confidence that if the way it's supposed to be and that's a really important thing just the idea of oracle's the center of itself some mean i hate that i referenced this almost every week but as you seen the matrix did you see the whole character called the oracle and what she did what she met in out barrels was like ended out scuttle thank you but i mean is it's obvious looking back on her that oracle's are needed but when in the time during the whole crazy living out it's not too obvious and very interesting to me to see all these like if you think about how far computer has come all these bits and pieces of the functionality of computer hard drives base not hard as storage random access memory That new kind of juicy s sexy memory that. What's that new lysol state memory. You like plug directly into the motherboard clip out the way owing conch about is So that is the connection type. Right it's investigate a works to connection. There's what it uses. A technical uses the pti bus set of The state of the state of bus in order to communicate with russ the computer. So it's much much much faster way to access a solid state hard drive. They're saying little tiny little things just looks like a little bit smaller than it's actually smaller than the ram terms of late night. Shift getting really big to alter fast in that like just that same process. That's going to take place but virtually in on a on a global virtual machine is kinda cool to be a part of humanity figuring this out figuring out. I talk about it but let's let's talk about one. More thing in there will probably just wrap it up because johnny walker gained lonely over. There shot john to alley for making twelve east on her on her enough sale. There is a myriad of services like yours that is Doing more of a hand holding translating the technical to away approachable to a larger group of people That's hard actually based in my experience on the documentation of all these things and the software that you use to run the networks isn't necessarily straightforward or up to know quality code standards a lot of ways. And you have to make that approachable. Yes in a low end something. I'm not gonna stop name calling different networks but yeah like some of that is is problematic in some ways. It's difficult to make hardened production ready one of the things. We've challenging specially when running lie blockchain services on speed while listed on twitter right. "Time But i mean that's a pretty big win throw all oh. Iota of crypto is not. We're at Numbers here fifty. Four eight five percent of the miners have signaled sapard already. Which is i'm looking at the website. Which isn't that ahead of schedule. Right is not attested over ninety percent afford anything happens so it's still quite a bit to go and since the pools bitcoin a relatively large getting ninety percent is basically unanimous decision. The so we'll see how long that takes. It's exciting that it's actually happening. You can watch it and it's up to this already. The islands actually hearing. Maybe a tweet that i saw Edward snowden was talking about a couple of things on about tap road saying that. It's actually. It's worst privacy than having temporary is worse. Privacy than not have tapper and i don't understand why he would think that someone has to go back and listen to the podcast he did. We discusses this. Because i i don't think that's true. Not true. will it depends. It depends on scripts and temporal. Get what bush so now he was saying tappers bed battle. Adopting i'm gonna. I'm gonna go into that. That's another podcast. But i'm happy that it's going through because i like the types of things. Tapper enables Excited to see that type of stuff gets built. It's it's become quite a great endeavor. Just fucking around with quitters collided. Know what i was doing. But i did it and now it's here and it's just like you know. Bitcoin smart which i do believe badger does but is just like all my bitcoin does digital dust. Acro- i'll have it grows in value. That's that's not tangential but directly related that direct grows in value that's related to the us d. Yeah but what does it do. As far as group does concern muscle cars in fire. Related to the other crypto. She does it. Hasn't been because the dominance is decreasing back up. Probably why do you think it does but like the amount of stuff happening outside of bitcoin continues to grow. There's how like ten percent of. Bitcoin is on syria. Locked up him. More stuff equals more risk in all it takes is a sequence of shitty events for that risk to be actual. Here's the thing and then all of the sudden all this money is is is spa potatoes. In comparison to what real finance money is dominance. If that if that big money that we keep saying is gonna come is coming and has been has been flowing into the crypto networks continues. It goes at a higher scale. If it's not going into bitcoin defiant really on bitcoin the met dominance has gotta get her art with that being said let's Good the cut to the. A Face-Punching Legal Battle

"The ufc has an overwhelmingly dominant position as the biggest promotional organization that runs fights in mixed martial arts. It likely made close to a billion dollars in revenues last year. And that's estimated to be as much as ninety percent of all the revenues in mixed martial arts and it achieved that dominant position both by successfully managing and promoting the sport but also by buying out all of its biggest rivals in getting all of those top fighters from its rivals to fight for it. So you have. These numbers are not public but these estimates come from nash analyzes the business and finances of mixed martial arts for the website. The bloody elbow. He's our guide to this world and is the lawsuit filed by the former fighters against the ufc has unveiled all these documents. That show what the fighters get paid. We had an inkling. We had an idea but now we have like concrete numbers. Okay so here. Are some of the points made by the fighters and here are some of the. Us's agreements i the fighters argue that they simply get paid a much smaller share of the ufc's revenues than athletes and other major sports leagues. And this is true. Those new documents from the court hearing revealed that fighters get paid roughly twenty percent or less of ufc revenues in a given year for the major basketball baseball hockey and football leagues athletes. Get paid close to half of what they're leaks make and in boxing the other major combat sport. It's even higher close to sixty percent of boxing. Revenues goes to boxers. And one of the reasons john says is it. There are several major. Boxing promoters trying to sign fighters it's just a more competitive market so for the fcc. The fighter has to pitch to the of c. To hire him to give them a fight because he needs to be in the afc to make money were in. Boxing promoter has to find a fighter and convince him to let him promote them. Because he's the person drawing the money in response to the fighters. Ufc's arguing that even though it's fighters getting smaller share of its revenues. Those fighters are still getting paid more money over time because the ufc is making more in revenues over time so the overall level of the fighters pay is still going up and john says if the us seaward some other kind of company that response might be enough to win the case if the fighters are just like other workers and their pays going up. Why would it matter. If the fighters are getting a smaller share of the sports revenues than the athletes in other sports. What makes this case different honest with the plaintiffs argue is that the fighters aren't workers like a typical worker on a factory line. The fighters are the product and as the product. That's being sold. They deserve a share of the sales. Dmc has also argued that nick martial arts is still a young and growing sport should not be compared against established. Sports leagues plus. Dear makes the case that a big reason it makes so much. Money is not because of how great it's fighters are because of how good the you have c. is at putting on big lucrative fight nights that effectively. Ufc has a special ingredient that it adds to its fight cards john. Nash is a little skeptical of this one. But what is the special sauce is a little confusing. When of would claim it's their production. It's the way they things but then can you be more specific because you know. Boxing does the same thing they they promote fighters they put on events they they make packages that you know all that stuff that seems to be part of the special sauce is done by other other promotions plus john says if the ufc does have a special sauce and the specific fighters don't matter too much. Then why did the ufc go to such lengths to buy out its rivals and get their fighters and why does the ufc put restrictions in the fighters contracts that prevent them from fighting for other promotional companies. Look there's lots of other complexities in this lawsuit. For example the ufc also makes its fighters except the sponsorship deal with reebok and keeps a lot of the money from that deal the fighters say they could get their own sponsors which they used to be able to they would get paid more but really we're just scratching the surface here on this lawsuit and it probably has a long way to go anyways. But what is clear is that the lawsuit is a fight. About worker power the former fighters say they lost power to negotiate their pay because a ufc made the market for their talent less competitive the ufc disagrees and has argued that it should not be punished for being a successful company by the way we emailed a spokesperson for the ufc about the lawsuit. They have not yet responded. What's also clear right now. Is that the financial life of a lot of you. Have fighters is really hard fighters who are not highly ranked will sometimes get as little as ten thousand dollars for a fight and finders will have at most a few fights a year and they pay a big share of their earnings to their fight camps. The places that run their training and provide coaching things like that and so these former fighters are basically suing the ufc for what they believe they are owed what they argue they would have made if the ufc had allowed a competitive market for their services. Nate quarry one of these x. fighters says they're also hoping that the ufc has to change. Its approach to paying fighters going forward. We deserve our seat at the table. Whether it's talking about sponsorships whether it's negotiating our purses whether it's being able to fight for someone else free agency that's what we truly need in the sport where the fighters will have the ability to really test out the free market and see what our values this episode of the indicator was produced by jamila huxtable. In fact check by sean sal donya indicators paddy hirsch and is a production of npr.

Thank you so much for joining us again today Dr Legs. Thank you for having back I. Love it here. We, are always happy to have you back. I really use you slide into my deals like, Hey, you know we talk about this. You created the perfect platform. So, tell me likes what was your initial reaction to the visuals as well as audio. In my chest, my reactions were. Still. Got It. That's what I thought initially like I could drop down get back up and I didn't out nor did I di- I was really proud of myself. Out of that. And it was so free nervous. The nineties Misao Josiah, I, grew up in Atlanta I grew up in college park. So here in Franks key on the radio was normal and regular everyone was like look at this homage homage and that was unexpected and then all the commentary and it's all based on this over sexualization of women and I was like, okay let's see the skull but everybody only defaulted to the over sexualization of the black woman based on this. Stereotype. The stereotype is the idea that. Lack, women typically our class figured lighter skin and with some tape of nine kinky hair, the the the Mulatto type woman is sexually overt and think a Karma Jones right. So Carmen in that movie would be the idea of a jazz about but people forget the conversation where. Black women and their relation also centralized as mammy. So fat dark skinned black women who have kinky hair who are considered not necessarily sexual, right? Because they're not the Jacksonville and yet they reproduce and take care of children. They are the form other four People Gov as the Welfare Queen, they're having tax they're producing but certainly seen as very sexual, and then there's also the Sapphire and the Sapphire is comes from and Andy rate in it's considered that kind of ball buster type woman who is like all well, you can't handle me and. Attitudinal and maybe like a clair huxtable, I will tell you when we will be together in this way and then there's the superwoman. So the Black Superwoman, this idea that women can make a dollar out of fifteen cents, take your communities in their children and their partners and their job and every. Old In an amazing and they're never exhausted or tired always pleasant attitude and the considered asexual right because there are so strong and they don't even need sex and nobody's willing to really them because they don't need have this. Physical pleasure or satisfaction lives. All of these other stereotypes? The only one that people went to focus on was the jets as I pigeonholing. So what do you think that is do you think that people aren't even aware of all these other stereotypes? Be Aware but I don't think that their sexuality is as amped up and I think that a black woman in charge of her own sexual pleasure is scary for some folks. We have a lot of shame I was personally told as a child to call maybe China pocketbook Zionist, governor. Yeah You keep your pocketbook close and you keep it off the floor. Right those are the two things you learned and I was like. That's interesting. Why would it ever be on the floor but the idea that if you had his own sexual pleasure, your type of Ho, your some type of one time and. over-centralised homequote not wifey material right and so I don't think the other ones get as much play because they are somewhat more acceptable.

How Healthy is Your Family?

"How are your children being affected by the disintegration of the American family in a recent news week poll, half of the people ask said that their families are in worse shape now than they were ten years ago and no wonder, the divorce rate has doubled since nineteen, sixty five and experts say that one third of all children born in the eighties will live in A. A stepfamily before they grow up on top of that one of every four children lives with a single parent and twenty two percent of today's children were born to a teenage parent, and when it comes to who is watching our children. Two thirds of all mothers work outside the home. If you feel that your family is going a little helter skelter, everybody doing their own. Own Thing and the family unit is falling apart, or if the people you call your family, don't fit the traditional description like the cleavers or the huxtables. We want you all to join family unity workshop. We asked to our studio audience to take several tests so that we could find out how healthy their families are, and now we want you to test your family's health. Health, too, so get a pencil and paper and take this first test. It's called the family rituals test, and the test is taken from a fascinating book written by one of our favorite guests on the Oprah Winfrey show Dr Paul Pearsall renowned family psychologist, and it's called the power of the Family Paul. Glad to have you here. Thank you glad to have you once again. Well. I know the audience is already taken. The test and I went over the test. And what does this ritual tell us know it's a strange thing. Many of the couples we interviewed families didn't have time to take the test because we're too busy to look at one of the family had rituals or not, and one mother looked at me and said we have the Dooby Doo Bee. Doo Syndrome in our family. I said what's this dooby? Dooby Doo Bee Doo, she said we spend too much time doing and not enough time being so the rich test is a measure of whether or not you really give dignity and celebration that the simple daily acts of family life, or you just run right past them and have separate breakfast separate dinner, separate bed times and live alone, even though you're in a group, dignity and celebration I like those choice of words what it sounds kind. Kind of Corny to say that, but we found families that would eat in quiet or fight during dinner. They'd take a bite and say well school Goin- what you're telling me shut up. Don't pick on your brother I've had it with you. This is enough to. Did you enjoy dinner eight? That's really what's happening and it's not that the family is failing. We are failing our families, and if we don't make enough time at least a. A Saddam most families didn't even sit down for dinner. That's what the ritual test. Let's see. I think children are in crisis in this country, but children are in crisis only because families are in crisis. That's where it starts. That's what we think that these children just didn't refer to their families much anymore. Children are aware of rituals. They'll pointed out to you. Sometimes. They'll say mom we. We always used to do it that way. We shouldn't do this even the simple act of saying grace I. Don't mean to get too pushy about those type of things, but we saw people. Sam So fast. You couldn't tell her saying grace. Somebody be grabbing, food. What happened to the idea of just sitting down a moment, you know the old idea we used to say. Sit Down and shut up. Okay I. Tell You what we wanted to do. Now. Let's go through the test. Can we do that? The test of the family rituals and our audience is already answered these questions, and perhaps maybe if you watching it home with answer these questions, you'd get a clear idea about where your family is right now I. Question. Does your family move is one unit when it walks a group or does someone dragged behind? I found that very interesting because I said. If you're walking down the street, everybody can't walk at the same time. Honesty families go to shopping centers and you'll see these somebody's lagging behind. The fodders looks discussed. It I'll go sit there. You go shop. I'll meet you in the lot. If you'RE GONNA. Do it. do it together. Okay now. Who who answered that question? No, now why why Antonio Yep? Because whenever I'm walking with my husband, he's either always pushing the child or walking the dog, or whatever so he's far ahead or five behind and there we go as a separate unit else walks is a separate unit. I know. Some people lied on the test to see that. Some people lied on the tests. They want us to think they're to huxtables, not only lie, but some people don't pay enough attention to. My husband is sixty five. He always walks a few steps ahead of I'm always behind standard. Intentional! I tell stem this all the time, too, because his legs are so long that when he takes a step, I have to take one and a half for every step that he takes so we're in the airport and I'm looking like we're from foreign country. Walk Twelve paces behind. A lot I sometimes have to turn around and wonder why she's like a blockbuster. Because your legs are so much longer. Yeah, okay. What does that really isn't the walking style you? Yes, it's certainly cause I'm kind of Tom Lanky to my family alive behind, but this issue the attitude while you're doing this. Is there some attempt interesting family say come on, catch up. Let's all go look at this rather than I'm going to the store you go to. The dresses will lose the kids if we can and will meet in the lot, it's really the attitude is not just the distance. Doesn't that mean in some way that that person feels separate from you? Well, that's the tragedy. Tragedy sounds a little corny, but it's just like we're not really doing this together. We're going to get hurt close. He's gotTa get three pairs of slacks. I'm sick of the shopping any way faster. We get it done. The better somebody's disgusted. That's not doing it together. That's not a ritual. It's a routine routine is just getting done. Ritual is a celebration of the doing

"It's all generally like you know and so it's a very it was a very sudden shift Gone but then it kind of dinovite involved and it kind of became. I think it's sort of like like I was talking to my sister the other day and she was like I feel at Corona is one of these like era defining things where it's just like it's the site will it be able like what will corona say in the same way that it reveals underlying things about society and also reveals underlying things about ourselves in relationships at ended up being like an ended up being so evolving into something so cute. Now it's like I you know I was like there was a while. Okay well this is Like what the hell fame dropped gates and it ended up just like totally blossoming into something like. It's almost like an evolution where it's like. Oh Wow I really if I fox you under you. Now you're at keeper. I'm I'm like totally neurotic all over the place. You know what I mean and like if like I can fuck with you and you can fuck with me in like the world is crazy where crazy. Everything is imploding bonkers. Yummy with you know and and it ended up being matt you know in one form or another obviously were still you know that's not to make some final proclamation but it's it's ended up being because now it's like it's an opportunity to dislike spend time with someone also like once you get past the initial freak out. It's like you know yes about money universally you know what I mean. So there's no reason for me to isolate my own financial precarity and bug out over that like that's one way of processing. And if I choose if I was to do that I would still just being permanent panicked. But it's if you can like get yourself to the porn of seeing past that also an opportunity just to spend time with someone in a basically you know a new arena. It's very popular Buehler's off like with time and sociology and how you relate to a city you know what I mean. There's no social spaces. There's no clubs and so it's become a very interesting and really beautiful way to further. Get to know you know someone. I'm really in love with. That's amazing because I feel like it also brings up like you know because some partners are still have their jobs like are like artists like were disappeared. And it's also brings up like class issues in all these like underlying kind of you know all the stuff that you don't really talk about but it there you know. I'm really thankful that because I've I've I've had to deal with that before but I'm really thankful that I don't that there's no like I'm you know it's it's I feel like we've we've really been able to help each other and a lot of ways. There were times because I've been there have been several times. I really gone through it. You know yeah you know I even had you know it's it's it's you know. There's been a lot of trials that I've that I've gone through and it's been nice to see how my boo really like. Be there and see this as an opportunity to expand instead of as a panic over what? It's not like you know so same. That's nice see each other in different lights and you love each other more after all this crazy shit. Now keep your test or something. I don't know but it. Oh Yeah I mean. It's a major test. Shed one hundred. I liked when I hit like you said I totally panicked to we. Were both like this is over. I can't believe don't know what this ship is like. What does it even mean to be together? If we'RE NOT GONNA be together during this I don't know just like we're done and then we were like wait. We're just freaking out. This is a bad time to make decisions. Let's just see how this goes and let's not make any at in any signs decisions but yeah just like you said it also evolved into this thing where I'm like. Oh my God how can I love you like I see how you are so supportive in this time with all sub stripped away because there's always a dynamic with friends and family and like our jobs and now it's all gone and we see each other for who we are without all this shit around us? I wanted to ask you a question. We always ask the doll this question. 'cause we had this one episode about disclosure where it's like when you're dating like how do you disclose your like identity to like people that you meet maybe club or the party or even online or whatever like how have you dealt with? Lake spilling your TV. Today I lived so sometimes. I'm sometimes I'm you know if you're in a social context in which you it's you now you're with friends or you know it's like a more intimate social setting it. That's kind of Nice 'cause like I don't really have to say because everyone already knows that it's just like whatever you know what I mean. Everyone knows about it. Yeah and so. And I'm and so those circumstances are cute because you don't really have to stress over in those kinds of situations a lot and I think I do. I think I also benefit like. There's a lot of downsides to people being like any you know being like public and the social media whatever like that can be annoying in a lot of ways but in other ways it's not. There's a lot that I don't have to say that people just kind of know right you like Google. I'm very powerful. You know. It ain't being an eye on. It's not like I'm hiding out at all so I think I benefited from that in a lot of ways but anytime. I've been in situations where that's not the case. I always just. I'm very open. I'm very. It's not like off the bat when someone starts talking to me or something you know. It's usually like if there is if like and Timothy or something then becomes a question you know I am. I have no PROB- always to say that you always just people you know and I have my little ways of saying whatever it. It's right away Mr Good. Wow you get to it right away. You know some growth. They Lake they had paid. I don't like dealing with like like I'm the type of person where you know not that I don't have things that I won't say. Our secrets are things like that. But it's like I'm the type of person where it's like if something needs to be said it will be at it. We'll just eat away at me until I was like. I have not healthy for you out. You know it will come out and so it just cuter for me to be and I also like to me. It's like tweeting at us. Something that I need to like. Save our boy or whatever would would also be to say that like I'm and my like and like my beauty and power and sex appeal is something that I need to like. Weirdly like timid. Not Saying so funny at select. I'm come out with it. It's just like I'm not. I know I'm cute so if you're Yeah that's what you here's fully personal problem. Yeah yeah the way you handle that. I think says more about you yourself than it does about lake outward experience of it all. I remember I have got into sometimes though we're late because I'm like Oh my God I'm public. Speak about it all the time like everyone knows and I assume some guys narrow and then again then I'd like get into this whole shit and they're like had no clue and I'm like oh I thought you like friends with my friend and they all make our moments. I'm like Oh fuck a little. I mean that's fine with me because that's happened. I well I find like I don't feel that responsibility. Sometimes when it's like like I've had like when when someone really Me and it's like I'm not been times like I'm just going out just to have a good time with you're in Migra like you know what I'm in on ability to like. I'm not beholden to reveal anything to you. Know what I mean. You're and so in those situations I don't feel you know like whatever I don't care God it's I'm right towards the end of our show. Have some rapid fire questions. Are you ready rapid? Okay okay girl. I wouldn't put on this little extra.

"They're obsessed they're taking photos and you have no money and now she's like she thinks she's GonNa she might have to like you know worked for Amazon or something and so in a lot of ways like oh this really dark in the sense that a lot of people are pushed to even more precarious than GIG economy. Only got resigned signed up to like deliver groceries for instance card instead city bike and go give groceries coins girl name. I missed when like strip on the Internet like was like one of those cyber girl and I'm like now it's kind of coming back. I did that I love. I made cute corn. Can you so much you money for those times? So I'll say you do our homegirl. Yeah I know I know how perfect well I noticed. A lot of museums have started doing these. Like virtual tours of their galleries. Yeah and I'm wondering how this is going to affect the art world like that's something I am solely not lay that in tune with so I'm wondering how they are. If the same thing's happening like you know how things are getting exposed and how's that affecting your work as an artist in that realm. It's sort of. I mean I feel I had already sort of like planned a little bit more distance from the art world this year. 'cause I I I to focus on music and hence so this is just kind of even amplified that even more where it's like. I think the art world was already kind of spiraling and a lot of ways. You know what I mean in terms of the It's an economy run entirely by disliked plutocrats who just decide that they deemed worthy of investment. And it's one of those industries that from the outset There's a lot of people like like younger. People are art school that see s successful artists. I'm dislike in this in. Institutionally yes in the sense that like I show a lot of museums at doesn't translate to financial success in the end in the art context. It it doesn't and sometimes those things even like a total disconnect where it's like you know like if if wealthy people decide that they don't want you in their you know Italian beachside villa home depot out of check now and politics. I think this is. Yeah and so it's always it's always a little bit absurd And I have functioned in it. So that's not to say that I'd like totally see myself as outside of it but I think that the cove it has made all of that absurdity an precarity Amplified to the point where I kind of feel I don't even know I just kind of feel outside that for you know because I have no financial like there's no I have no that there's not going to help me so you know both as a part of my own planning and even more now it's like people aren't really buying our and I was gonNA. I was in a fundraising auction. Donated a lease to an auction In New York. And I'd like this. I was in New York Right like maybe a few weeks before Kobe ahead. I was in New York and they had a it was to support my friends organization and you know people had like they had on the artwork and then ask. Ovid hit literally. People were just like no one came to. People just didn't even pay none of the cockpit for the word will indicative of what's going to happen. You know so. An art can kind of like a lot of people like a lot of collectors. It's essentially it's like real estate. It's like asset. It's like it's like kind of you know your appraising these things as assets that will increase in value over a lifetime. And so that's you know. And so that mega artists are fine. If you're already deemed kind of your work will continue to grow your fine but for young and like a lot of young contemporary artists. Basically that we're all just stuck in this weird kind of video game rich people video game world where everyone is assessing opd a should. I buy this thing now and see if I can get a discount because this person has a lot of write ups and I think in ten years it might pay off so if I like by this type of young artists like this number of them over this period of time generally in the law on run a certain number of them are bound to be successful and so it's kind of like real estate really is like real estate. How the financial ask financial side of things work. And so you know and there's this kind of there's the there's the this kind of fantasy which is to say that that doesn't exist like it's the extreme minority of the like benevolent collector. You know who loves to see smart and you know artists who really care about I I just. It's so disgusting that that is so exhausting. And that's why that's why I've always liked music and I've always appreciated having counterbalance to rate my are basically. I've been able to make art because I like making our and because I wanted. I hope that I hope that what I'm saying is illuminating or interesting. Are Finding our give something to someone and but now I don't have. I don't have those other safety nets 'cause I had always been like. Oh I can make my money doing music and public speaking and all this other stuff and so you know if people want to buy art cool if they don't. I'm making this because I wanna make this especially like visual are it has to be real because it's not like music. Music gets like people paid for tickets. You know and I mean it's much more like you know Crowd sourced kind of like populist way of generating income. So I don't I don't it's not rich people. It's like if people fuck with my music. They fuck with it. They're willing to pay door. Cover OUR FEE. Show up there and then you have your fans. It's like they're all all over the place all over the spectrum of culture and stuff like that too and now that's that's all like off now to just so strange. I heard it's just I feel like it's just becoming this like you know for. That's why I personally. I feel like I get paralyzed because I don't. I don't know what the fuck is going to happen. Like I just don't know I just e comes to this point where like I wanna do all this stuff but I also feel like you know am I gonNa have to change careers. You're talking about your sister like am I gonNa what happens now. Creatively like life wise eating and shit. I don't you know I don't know. Fuck I think especially in industries where sometimes we have already felt undervalued. You know like a hundred percent. Okay now. What's the point like? I was already feeling like they're respecting my art. For what thank you. I believe I'm worth at now. There's not even seem like whatever I thought you were doing digital residency in London. Yeah so that the residency that was gonna be are kind of recording studio. We worked out so we're one month digital residency with them now. Adam just yeah so you know they wanted to find a way where I could still where it could still happen in some farm and so we said we'll do one month digital maybe later on I could end up still going to London Awesome signed dark in the digital realm. Like what is the debt consist of I think best the question mark that all of the streaming stuff is operating on? I'm sorry Kaimoku feeding ingredient. I'm making some you know the music like a kind of I'm going to do a music stream thing that that they all on their platforms. They'll stream next week But it's all it's all negotiation the digital and I think it's. It's it's kind of ironic because I'm such a you know. I think I'm such an Internet baby and people seen as like you're the tumbled. You're there you're online but I'm also I realize I'm very much so about you. Know what I mean reels like I like to play music to audiences and I like to be out in spaces and I'd like to speak and be you know ink at engage at the sense of how far you know. I really love all of that. And so it's been kind of difficult for me to answer those questions myself like okay. Well how do I translate this now in this digital streaming economy because like like the streaming clubs? Don't do it for me ask you about that. Like everyone. D- saying on live and his party. This is so weird. Like I can't is hitting it's hitting joking with a friend earlier like I'm not going to my bathroom. Do Coke Weird. Yeah all right. Well I want to shift the conversation to something a little more personal if you don't mind so we're all we've been talking a lot about how like relationships under quarantine lake are functioning and like how like we functioning relationships to keep maintain them and keep them healthy under this pressure. And I are you. You're pointing with your boo. I am ed working out so well we have. We have different. We have different apartments. Oh so it's not like we're not in the same in the same apartment but I spend most of most of our time together the overwhelming amount of our time together I would say it's kind of so initially because I travel all the time and so I'm so used to being gone for the weekend and so any relationship that I man usually has kind of built into it by default a lot of just like space. Yep At time away from each other and I've I've not that I've like like Fetish. Is that necessarily explicitly sought that out. But that's just kind of been the name of the nature of things based on you know my work and in all of that and so it was interesting when the corn team first half end you know it was. I think it was like like. Oh like what's going like. How is this going to affect at the beginning? The beginning of corn ten I think was like and like a lot of people is really intense because basically both of us all of our plans. You know all of our pan together and individually just kind of seemed to come to a sudden halt And like we were going to go. We were going to go visit his family like he becoming visit my family. We're going to visit his family and And like that trip didn't end up happening and so in the beginning of a really difficult. Just because it's like you on the one hand like you have a lot to do with on your own like I had so much and I didn't have a place to stay so I had no sense of home so I was already budget. Same thing it Robert Bike without factoring anyone. I was already bugging and so it was. It was like you know kind of intense for for a period of time. Ras A SEC okay. Well what do we do because this is everything suddenly becomes like a question mark and the surveys that you normally have to process now it suddenly..

"Had been like a few years like you said at me. Basically traveling everywhere in New York was like my home base and I still. I still have my i. You know I haven't even settled in my room in New York like it's it's it's sort of my life now all my friends from out of town when they're in town they stay in my room. It's Kinda cute. It's turned until I you know But I was just traveling a lot and I think New York is generally like my. That's my like I love. You know and it's like there's no other place that's like. New York and so if I enjoy traveling but I never really went anywhere else that I was like. I really WANNA live here. I thought places were interesting. You know maybe I could be here for a month or two and so I remember. I quit my job when I quit my day job. So many people have been telling me this was in two thousand thirteen hundred. Quit Meyer him my job so many people have been like you need to go to Berlin. You need to go to lamb. And so I just cashed in all my vacation. Days went for six weeks. I was obsessed. I was obsessed. I didn't WanNa live there. I didn't WanNa live there then But I just after touring so much. I just ended up here law. Because it's it's like all most of my gigs are in Europe for music and art and stuff and so I just ended up in Berlin more and more and more. And it's one of those things where I would like everyone in New York for a while. Everyone in New York that I lived in Berlin and everyone in Berlin that I lived in New York so it was always liked surprise when I was there which was such like New York. I I like couldn't say I wasn't living in New York. I was just like your offer dragon. I'm here for a period of time. You know I decided. I decided I was going to stay for a winter. I was like I'm GonNa live in Berlin for the winter and it's like if I fuck with it during the winter that I really like with the an hour for their anti tests. Yeah Yeah and I just Kinda arbitrarily made that decision. I have been like I did that with. La I went to La for a little bit shop to La. Not a place face off happy. I'm happy free. Yeah and then I also have. I like fellow here and so that made it easier to also they fell in love and I have a lot of friends here. So it's it's it's been like. I just kind of wanted to try something new and I had never I hadn't I had never lived outside of New York so yeah I think that's important especially artists to have a different living experience. The different parts of the world you get into different culture you get into different t eat meat like I mean so much shit happens when you lake. It's different travel. And just like touch your floor on on on the ground for like two days and then are as opposed to living there and meeting local being a part of the community. It's totally different. How would you describe your the work that you do like you know people were saying? You're like an artist performer. Dj Writer how would you sum up your I mean generally I feel like I'm whatever I'm doing I'm doing me and I guess. Artists is probably the easiest thing because it kind of encompasses all of it. It's like if I start making a list. I think it gets a bit more complicated but like you know I do writing poetry. I do visual art performance art music and so I think artists is probably the easiest thing stems everything with with some little side dishes. All right last slash slash. I I mean I'm such a fan of your poetry. I bought your book. Glenn is what's the title of the Mucus Mucus? Neil on my God so good I love it all caps everything on day every day. So how is this? How is this whole pandemic affecting your work now has? Has there been a shift in the way you work and like what you're working on the industry that you're in well it's it's like there's so many like somebody. Variables have are converging at the same time because I mean this year so my plan this year was to focus on music like I was like you know I've done a lot of I did. I've done a few solo shows of visual art and I really was and so I saw i. Dj and that's one of it. But then I also have a like a band that I travel with. Have kind of like live. Show that we do together and it sort of evolved from performance art and so it's all about the live show and we're like I. We love each other so much. And it's like that is like it's it's a total on world. I knew nothing about reporting music. I don't know like like being in a music studio at I produce music and I started doing that but the I'd Citing the light what we do live to a studio setting was SORTA and so. That's kind of what I plan to do this year. And we had this residency in London and then everything obviously you know obviously with China said and and I think for me. I'm so used to traveling all the time like I had. I had a show last summer so I was back in New York for like two MOMS. I was in and then we'll do a tour than I was in. You Know Martin like Spring. Last year was any stage You know I'm so used to this. Constant movement is a part of is kind of a part of how my practice is sort of like an essential part of that. And then you know I will say is set. I will settle somewhere to make work. Usually go back to New York because it still is kind of for me. It has been the the place riot creatively. You know. My studio is there. That's where my friends are. That's where and so and so it's been interesting this whole period. Because it's like you know now I'm not with my bandmates because we were going to be together in May so now. That's not happening instead. It's like this thing where I'm just in. And I also before London I was going to go to Beirut with my got child every and so and I had also agreed to move out of my apartment for land so I've everything has cancelled and I have. I have don't have anything any big things for visual art. This year was about music. Music was the first thing to be chopped. Yup like fully from the staff and I was like I had no apartment so the beginning I was totally bugging out. I would have been like I was having a miniature crisis at the beginning And I was trying to find a place to live and but it sort of evolved. It's gone through like phases. It's been interesting I've I've come to now. I sort of like it because it's like when else will we get to experience something my store? Such a thing to be able to expect like the suspension of labor work is kind of in some ways. I can I fuck with it because it's cool And so I've kind of been in these waves where it's like. There was a period where I got really into reading and writing just obsessively like you know and I started writing a blog. I was writing all this poetry and you know then that kind of stops then. I just didn't nothing. Yeah Yeah I didn't do a Damn Fang and was just like feeling you would think like artists. Everyone's like Oh you must be so inspired your rioting doing stuff all. I'm actually not inspired back. No it's weird a coma thing that you kind of have sending the Energy Olsen. It started and then all of a sudden it's like. Oh my God I can't move. I can't move. I can't yeah. Could you not inputting the as much as you do? Not There's just not as much and I'm the type of person I'm already kind of like I like being an artist because I I go with what I feel like. Generally I go with what I feel like with my intuition. And so it's sort of bad and I'm coming back into like I'm coming back into productivity but I'm not quite fully there yet on a lot of writing a lot of writing and then working out right that's like I can't yeah. I have turned into a crazy. Like I. Abso- I've had I have an aversion to gyms generally speaking generally. I like to do Yoga I have. I'm a home person. Love infomercials I love like Beach Body Dot Com and get up. But it's just like oh I wanna get I WANNA get fit. You know like I'll work out but now that I have the time I've become like I'm like oh like how can I like get a bigger by you? Know what I look like. I'm not that girl that go off to the people that are like that's what they're doing but it's really. I actually and I think after this is done I might be a gym person. Ooh That's for that that's a good thing to add on the list. Yeah we were talking to Amanda. She's she does. The Carmen Electra House chipper workout. On like well we all. We hear what we've been talking a lot about. Hollick pandemics really expose underlying issues in society. Like everything's sort of like coming to the surface right now. I saw you. You were a part of this Free the people campaign that aimed to slow the spread of coveted in New York City prisons. Because it's like this high density there and that was to help raise money. Money for prisoners could afford it and that was obviously an underlying issue. That has been there forever. He's been talking about how this is overcrowding brags that hosts. This is before everything really. Yeah like do you think this is going to have an effect on like these social economic issues like moving forward if we can use moments sort of make a shift. I think I think no matter what happens. There will be. I feel like there will be such radical changes. Just because I mean it's impossible that it wouldn't be you now to to even if it's not the way that we think it is like and like you know. I think early on this throughout the process a lot of speculation and says some people are like this is the end of the stage of the late stage of capitalism. That were in. It's all imploding. And it's like maybe question mark. I don't know if that's necessarily tea but I feel like there will be radical shifts. Because it's it's I think it will be difficult for a lot of people to go from not having to have such a frantic hectic relationship to labor and then going back into that whatever happens after even in the sense that I think a lot of people will be pushed to more marginal more marginal positions you know and so I I don't know I don't know what it will look like. I already kind of feel that for myself like I didn't I haven't been for years like since I. I quit my job and was just like you know selling molly you know and night clubs and doing dominatrix work like I haven't really been have no money. This is no you know I have these like. I'M APPLYING FOR GRANTS. I've gotten you know I got I got my stimulus tag. They're saying I'M GONNA be unemployment anger but it's it's it's it's an interesting time but I'm I'm just rolling with it for now but it's also I think what scares me is like like like I think about my family. Emily a Lotta Times. It makes me really nervous. Like my sister's a chef you know she went to CIA. She was working at Michigan Star restaurants. But you know if it's kind of like the music industry or something is totally for cares. You can be working at the most Buji restaurant you know what? I'm saying like people are writing about in the New York Times Michelin Star Weird Europeans showing up..

"Of you know. Movie theaters. Nanda is opening up. We were just talking about in New York. They have like to go. The bars are open like to go. And they're like there's a whole locker room living where it's like. Four bars are open. People are all hanging outside with these big gangs. And I'm like what is going on here. "On where his t tie. This is tyra banks tieger. Oh this is I heard about this. He and I have a lot. Could stay so clips from America's next top model are beginning to resurface on the Internet. And they're actually from years ago girl go and also from her talk show which was fucking psycho look back at fashion talk show. It was no ricky lake. I'll tell you that girl it was lake. I saw I saw one clip of her talking embarrassed because some girl. And she's like she's like she put pictures of three guys and she's like which one do you think is more attractive. And she's like I think number one is my type and she's like okay. Number one is a serial killer whose murdered twenty five girls in the past. What's the point of this what we know the lake? Honestly even before. And now this is has resurfaced. Like her talk show was really cringe-worthy like I thought I was like the uncomfortable watching very thing I was like. Are You fucking kidding? Me Another video has resurfaced from America's next top model. And in the she's telling a model named Danny Evans in this episode all the models were sent to the dentist like a actually remember that episode. Go on all went to the dentist to get their teeth checks and the girl Danielle. They asked her what she wanted to do. And she said she just wanted a cleansing and whitening and so when she went in front of the judges panel at the end of the episode she tires began to wreak her. She was like so Danielle. You went to the dentist but refused to have the gap closed because she had been close up cutting. Ucl Like you. Don't she knew set? It's heath or some shit that's not a day's work I don't feel it. Sounds like a quick fix. I don't know maybe they just extend your teeth. I duNNo. I HAVE NO IDEA. That sounds like a censure. That's removing I don't know I don't know so she that she kept going and she was pointed. She's like do you really think you can have a contract with a gap in your mouth. This is our WIKI. Hello Lauren and like sorry. Learn how she's famous for fucking gap go on like this is people are going to see easy review for car girl. It's not marketable. Meanwhile and then the what's the the one that does voting and teaches way with him on this Jane. Ms Jake kept going and was like a while speaking of gap. There's going to be a gap in in the competition. 'cause it's GonNa stop you if you don't fix it. Basically bullying her into fixing her gap. She then got it. She agreed to say. I'll do it only a little bit of a compromise halfway alright. She wound up winning the call. The that the competition that season and now people are starting to lake attack tyrod on twitter. I mean honestly like the snowflakes needs to calm down. This was like how many years ago and honestly like at the time. Maybe like fashion is always fucking bullshit as far as like what they consider. Pretty at the edgy at the moment. Because obviously right now all I see runways gap in like you know You know Unique Beauty I don't understand I don't like even at the time. We already had edgy bitches so I don't understand why she would have done that. You Know Madonna Gorgeous. Like she has her got like. I don't understand. They wouldn't have hike in that. You know and maybe change your duty but then again. Was it two thousand five. This fucking thing aired and. Now we're like were so bored that we're backtracking in shaming people from like a over ten years ago now we have like twitter and so the videos come on twitter making means and it's like all the stuff that's coming being regretted whoever maybe not the Baleno who's who's the other generation that we're like giving sites who now anyway now they're seeing it for the first time and now they're gagging and there were like bitch. Well I mean I think I agree with people that are like hating on it because I. That's like the ball you need but yours to go shade. Yeah but she I think she she came out and she apologized for the insensitivity. She says you arrive but like but like why does she pick on one some girls for that but then other girls like Winnie who has like Vitiligo. She pushes all these other girls for their individuality. But then there's one girl. She was like attacked her. For some reason and it's I remember. I believe one season. She actually added a gap to somebody's tooth. No she did. Not I'M I don't. I'm pretty certain there was one season she gave this girl. She had this girl because they know they do this thing. Every T- thing every season and there one guy. They added a gap. If I'm not mistaken. Believe you I love the bitched. Just was crying. Hysterically should not wanNA cut her hair. They were so I mean she had the long. She had the whole long hair. So I remain recover here. This is legit like proper circle crying. She got eliminated that day. They're like you know what that really didn't work out actually easily go. Iro Is Insane Caridi. I need that are some. I mean I'm not sure which is worse than some of the top model lake clips or though the talk show. I think is worth the talk shows ridiculous when she brought out you know we can't but she's like we have no studio audience today because this is just you and I thought the one that I remember when tire associated. She didn't want Naomi Campbell to get applause so she deleted the audience exactly. Meanwhile I mean I mean you can't fuck me even now it can't. She's everything Larry thinks she's keeping it real and keeping a tight where her you know of living. We got some more. Are you ready all week? Well let's remind our guest. Today we're GONNA have Juliana huxtable on she'll be on in about fifteen minutes. Joining us live from Berlin artists that writer performer. Dj TJ DJ. Baby the Baby Daddy. While the other Mary now I married Cardi go on. Oh yeah they had. They got married. Yup Cardi B.'s. Yeah so allegedly. That was one of her claims to fame. And now she's claiming to have had an affair with snoop Dogg. Who's married WHO's married? She's saying he flew her outs and they had an affair and he was. He denied and his his wife supported him in his in his statement. But now she's saying that she has proof honestly but like in on if you're going to get the girl plane ticket that's how I'm getting it from this. Get her a plane ticket. Why I guess we're GONNA do this. Lengthy were well. I mean does she have a if she. Has the ticket receipt. 'cause you're gonNA need like a little while now. He didn't put her scrapbook. What she has is a tape a videotape. We're not new dogs. Dick are we well. Anyway she has Alexis allegedly of her with snoop and she also has a sex tape. She said with Takashi six nine and that bitch memberships too much me he just came out of jail think they should have put it right back in him out of the coronavirus virus grow meanwhile worked out for him. What's his name Takashi? Sex Tape I feel like you'd be interesting. Don I can pin it. I feel like he's like I thought he gets down down into the right. How many times have these them? If he's like he's mad young no lethal early to women and he's like gross. I mean I'm just going based on looks and if I take away the rainbow hair and the rainbow teeth. Maybe there's a cute then maybe the look back there you must have had his own soul in an jail because I would have He's very pretty and he has like so much money. "It's nineteen ninety one and Bill Cosby is one of the most famous and powerful actors and entertainers in the world in November. He's on Larry. King live show. Promoting a brand new autobiography called Childhood and sharing some of his favourite jokes. The old story was if you took it a little drop. It was on the head of a and put. It doesn't mega and the girl would drink in low American cosby's Ashby's doing this Spanish fly routine for Larry King one which he's performed onstage since the nineteen sixties in. It cosby jokes with audience about slipping an APHRODISIAC FOR DJ. Back into a woman's drink. A drug that renders her helpless. After a couple of SIPS. You know anything about Spanish fly no Dome Ema. While there's this girl crazy Mary it would some in her drink as you go to a party. She five girls standing alone. Spanish fly like that. I didn't know anything about the Spanish fly routine back then and the media didn't pay much attention to it either At this point in his career cosby had written bestselling books about parenthood and made the world laugh with family friendly comedy routines he was a humanitarian and philanthropist who donated millions to charities and colleges alike but it was his portrayal of Dr Cliff huxtable on the Cosby show that earned him the warm and Fuzzy Moniker of America's Dad. You're funny well thank you so you see the do of us. We have something in common cosby's long long seemingly happy marriage to Camille only added luster to a picture perfect image of a devoted husband and father. There was never a hint. Not even a whisper that he wasn't who he seemed to be. But that's banished fire routine. Was there hiding in plain sight all this time cosby talking about slipping drugs into women's strengths. If we'd only known back then it wasn't just a joke

"And even though that's not quite how it's going to play out in the movie, just based off what I've seen in the trailer. And I think his mom even says, don't pretend like this is about your dad. Oh yeah. Yeah, I will. Claire huxtable has put her foot down after Bill Cosby, right. I just think that it's going to be it's going to be exciting to see. And it's cool to see the the Drago character comeback. The original Drago see a clip of him. He looks rough as hell. He looked like he'd been through some flush. I mean, it's cool that they've got him coming back in that he's somewhat more or less in the corner of his son from what you could tell he's trainer and assume he's not the only one coming back Brigitte Nielsen's actually going to reprise her role as well as Ivan Drago's father, father. I'm still I'm still kind of cat tomorrow shit as. You have a penis as Ivan, dragged hose mother. Okay. Okay. I'm sorry. Victor, Victor dragons. I'm so confused now. Yeah, no goes wife. Yeah. Yeah, yes, that's. That's exciting too. I hadn't. I didn't even catch her in a tree. I didn't see her either most or she saw she was not in the trailer. No, but she was in the couch. Okay. Okay. It's going to be a nice dynamic to just because mind you. This is going to be a revenge plot somewhat or or him getting revenge for his father's death. But you also gotta take in the fact that is it really going to be as big given how rocky four was really about the tension between the USSR the US and the eighties and the Cold War. Like is there going to be any kind of cultural country? And he kind of speculation, any kind of hints and he kind of sprinkles of that or will appear Lee be like sun versus son because the traveler does not exactly flesh out how this fight comes to be sure which to be honest, we probably don't want it to because that would be a bit of a spoiled. Yeah, but I wonder whether they're going to take it when the film actually gets released. I okay, honestly, if okay, okay. So when when when I first heard that they were making this and it was going to be, you know, a donnas versus, you know, Ivan Drago son. I was like, oh my God, like this is almost chew on the nose just because of the. We're almost at like Cold War level tensions with Russia right now. So I was really surprised that every day we're doing this, I was like, oh, man. This is kind of like real like topical right now. So I like that angle. I can't imagine that they're not going to play into got a mention it. I mean, once now, look if they have a scene at the end when flights over and fucking Michael Jordan starts like talking to the crowd, he's like vodka changed. You say, we all I'm a walkout to fucking theory. Now that is according to part of that movie, I love that movie to death, but that ending part. I was like, okay, you don't need to try and have independence day speech at the end of this because they basically trying to make it seem like rocky ended the Cold War. I'm sad. My favorite part. No, that is pro USA. Yeah, that was like two levels I don't shares was fair. That's fair. But the my my thing is, you know, I. I like the fact that that they address in the movie because in the first creed, you know, Don is he, he doesn't want..

Selena Gomez reached out to Demi Lovato 'personally' after apparent overdose: 'I didn't do a public thing'

"Overdosed in July as you'll remember and has now made her way to rehab how good and when Demi Levato overdosed in July. Everybody wanted to know what Selena Gomez had to say about it because they've been friends for so long. I don't know. Exactly. Jason. How old is Selena Gomez think she's what twenty three now. Okay. They dislike Gomez Demi Lovato have been friends since they were seven. So everyone was wondering what exactly Selena Gomez thought about Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez told L magazine, all I'm saying is I reached out personally. I didn't do a public thing. I didn't want to I love her. I've known her since I was seven. So that's all I'll say, okay, basically saying that big old nothing. Off the record. Yes, that's good. That you know, she's there for in the tough times. Demi Lovato needs. By six twenty. So they've known each other for even longer than we thought would be nineteen years.

"She compared olivia pope analyst keating sa claire huxtable and said that you know thethe analysts in vr different than from claire huxtable i think they said that she was benign in okay i can't think of the other word but whatever it was totally not clear huxtable was in no way with i in mo banide reassuring they called they called claire huxtable in the terry benign in reassuring in which which further confirmed for me that alison stanley had absolutely never ever watched the show a day in her life because things but nine and reassuring with with you know not not one or two of those things claire houseful kept her foot on those next all eight see god we show i mean every last one of them from cockroach theo to cliff l let all of them had whiteman in the board like everybody i was just watching that episode the day the episode where she was on the television show with the three white man and they you know got upset you know they were they were bothered by her participating in the show and actually countering shoot i guess it was assumed that she was just going to sit there and agreed with them until it was time for them to talk about black people stuff and then she permitted to flicks so you know every like they're they're countless examples of the ways in which clear exempt clair huxtable with the dynamic in there there are people who didn't really care for her character and i think that's fair but at you cannot argue with.
