North bound on three 95 near the ram for Pentagon city and the anthem would take you to army navy drive, the left lane is blocked by one broken down in the roadway. 66 eastbound, there's a work zone in all this after 28 centerville, two left lanes getting by, no fuss getting through this one though, not tonight. This morning anyway. Capital bellway. The lingering crash activity on the outer loop in the through lanes on the Wilson bridge and that will be a right lane to get by and then we go to Maryland on the inner loop. We had crash activity near old Georgetown road with caution from a maybe in the roadway, haven't gotten any lineage on this one yet. 70 westbound status quo I'm afraid the lanes are all stopped after Braddock heights near mile marker 46 for the crash involving a double tractor trailer on 95 a.m. now on the Baltimore Washington Parkway between the beltways we run with that delay, 29 southbound colesville road trying to make your way from the beltway towards downtown Silver Spring. Everyone at last report was diverting at Franklin avenue, and that's problematic as you try to get to downtown silver string because we also have a water main break at Wayne avenue and cycle creek Parkway. So that intersection is blocked so you can not use Franklin avenue to flower avenue and then Wayne avenue to get into downtown Silver Spring. But the workarounds here are very difficult because of a water main break at the corner of saigo creek Parkway and Wayne avenue in lanes blocking all directions at that interchange So it's going to be a long work around to get from the beltway into downtown Silver Spring. Bear that in mind. On the bay bridge, we still have wind restrictions in effect for House trailers and empty box trailers until the wind dies down. You can't go. But one in Montgomery county won a prince George's county as you make your way from the legion bridge with caution after the two 70 spurs. You make the corner and start to climb the hill toward old Georgetown road, crash activity being reported along the right side. And then as you make the transition from the inner loop to go north on I 95 toward Baltimore at exit 38, the right lane of two should be getting by on that ramp as you make the transition onto northbound 95, now seeing a new issue that's apparently cropped up on 29, which I think at this point would be, I think it might still be colesville road. It's going to be southbound near Franklin avenue, just south of the bellway heading toward beautiful downtown Silver Spring. We're part of a crash with caution CDC flashing light in the camera and it looks like they may be holding a lane or two as they get that cleaned up. The issue outstanding in Virginia is going to be on three 95 northbound. It's going to be near king street exit 7 for exit 5 I should say for route 7 and it looks like they've got that mostly contained to the left side, staying right to get by with caution. But again, approaching it at speed is not a good idea given the weather and given the conditions ahead. Back that speed off and again with caution as you make your way past and I think you're squeezing over to the right to get past the ongoing crash three 95 northbound near king street. The southbound Baltimore Washington Parkway with caution for what may be lurking in the darkness and the mist beyond that you are good 95 is a drama free alternative between the two beltways, 50 across the bay bridge limited wind restrictions are in effect, empty house, empty box trailers, house trailers, other vehicles that can't safely navigate with the wind, going to be held off the bridge until the wind dies down. All right, well, some good news is the radar has lessened quite a bit just a couple of spotty showers out there, the heaviest rain is just east of Baltimore, heading over the Chesapeake Bay right now, but we still have, I guess, part three of the system, which is the actual center of circulation over Blacksburg, Virginia, that it's going to move north and east and bring widespread rain, some heavy at times, and perhaps a gusty thunderstorm or two later this evening, the timing after about 9 or 9 30 p.m.. Now we still have the tornado watch in the fact and that is the play doh, Charles county, saint Mary's county, but I think they're gonna let that expire before 6 o'clock because there's really no indication of any development of any stronger storms in that particular area of Maryland, but later this evening is when we get round two, warm tomorrow, but then the bottom falls out with temperatures later this weekend. Alexandria is pushing for residents to take flood proofing measures and to take other steps that help with stormwater runoff, starting next month, residents can apply for more credits to offset the city's stormwater utility fee. "You're going to notice a big shift during the late afternoon on Saturday as a cold front moves through turning colder Saturday night and then Sunday, high temperatures only in the upper 40s for most of us windchills in the 30s. So some really chilly air, making its way in for Sunday and cool air sticks around for most of next week. Tell us what kind of drenching we can expect from what was left of Nicole and then if you want, transition down to Florida and the other southern states, what have they gone through recently? Yeah, you know, we're going to see a pretty good amount of rain. I'm thinking one to potentially three inches in parts of the area. That's really on the high side though. This is not going to be a big rainmaker for us, although it's going to be a very wet day. And we are calling whether alert day because of the chance for heavy rain, but I'm not anticipating much in the way of flooding around our area or a lot of severe weather, so that's good. Now, down towards Florida completely different story, we had hurricane EM that made its way on shore and parts of southwest Florida. But even then, eastern Florida east, the east coast around Daytona up towards Jacksonville saw massive storm surge and still saw a lot of problems with erosion. And now with hurricane Nicole that came on shore, now a tropical storm, but hurricane when it came as short was a hurricane, bringing with it an incredible beach erosion. There are now dozens of houses, dozens of condominium and hotel complexes that are going to have to be torn down as a result because beach erosion has been a major factor as a result of these two hurricanes that made their way in towards parts of Florida, really amazing too. I mean, here we are in the month of November. This is only the third hurricane ever that has made landfall in the month of November on Florida, so kind of incredible what's going on and now that storm, of course, moving our way. Most of Florida is under either a hurricane warning or tropical storm watch, evacuations have been ordered in multiple counties.
