"After the discovery of malware in the file, any computer installed with or running the package called UA, parser, JS, must be assumed to have been compromised. Not only does that package have to be updated to the latest version, developers need to reset their passwords and rotate the security tokens from systems if the library was used as part of the development process. The reason is an attack or modified the library so they could install a password stealer and cryptocurrency minor on computers and servers. Note that even updating the library may not guarantee all malicious software that has been installed will be removed. NPM has a free registry of JavaScript libraries used by some of the biggest names in tech, including Facebook, Microsoft, Amazon, and Google. It also makes a popular JavaScript package manager. The discovery of this hack is the fourth malicious NPM package found in the last 7 days. I told you about one of them in Friday's podcast. A report by the Reuters news agency that the U.S. was behind last week's crippling of the R evil ransomware gangs, payment site, has prompted a lengthy and bitter posting by the Conti ransomware gang. It urges Americans to expel the fat degraded bankers in power in the U.S. so that America again becomes the great free nation that we remember and love. At the same time the groove gang urged crooks called affiliates who work with ransomware gangs to stop competing against each other, instead affiliates should unite to, in its words, destroy the state sector of the United States. Canadian based threat analyst Brett callow of empath told me that this looks like ransomware gangs or feeling the heat from law enforcement agencies, he noted that this year has seen actions against the dark side, networker, Klopp, and now our evil ransomware gangs, some have closed, others have lost their decryption keys. Speaking of ransomware, IT staff, whose companies use the bill quick web suite, a time and billing service should sweep their environments for suspicious activity, this comes after researchers at huntress labs discovered a critical vulnerability that allowed an attacker to hit a U.S. engineering company with ransomware. For software developers listening, the problem was an old one, and SQL injection attack. That's where an attacker can type in and SQL command in the username or password field of a login to enter a database without authorization. This type of exploit shouldn't be happening anymore, but huntress lab says many well established software companies are still not making sure that their code is secure. The U.S. will soon restrict the export of hacking tools that could be used by foreign companies or countries for malicious cyber activities. The commerce department last week released a rule that could come into effect in 90 days mandating sellers of certain products to get a licensed to export cybersecurity items. Approval could be denied to countries for national security reasons. It could also be denied if the product could affect the confidentiality, integrity or availability of data without the permission of the data owner. One of the goals the U.S. said is to help ensure that American companies are not fueling authoritarian practices. A spokesperson for the government of Canada noted that these products have needed an export license to be sold from this country since December 2014. At least 13 communications companies across the world have been compromised by a threat actor since at least 2019 says a cybersecurity company, CrowdStrike calls this group light basin, although other researchers call it UNC one 9 four 5 the UNC prefixes short for uncategorized. This group's specialty is hacking into solaris and Linux servers, which are favored by telcos. In one case that crowd strike investigated, the attackers compromised and external DNS server of one cellular server to get into the wireless GPRS servers that are used by carriers for customer roaming. One of the gang's initial tools for getting into a DNS server is password spraying, which is firing a list of common or stolen passwords.

"Rose a PC Like young. So where you see me acting strangely, don't be surprised. I'm just a man who needs someone and someone to hide. Good afternoon. I'm Pat Thurston. We are talking about this massive ransomware attack that took place recently. These things seem to be getting larger and they seem to be happening more frequently. John Hammond is my guest. He's with Huntress Labs. He's a senior security researcher there. Um, John, I've got questions. But I've got a listener who has a question. So let me bring him on because he probably knows more than I do. This has met in Santa Rosa. Matt, you're on with John Hammond. Go ahead. Hey, Dad. How you doing? Fine. Thank you. Had a quick solution for John. He mentioned that there is no cyber security that 1000% effective. There is one I can think of, and that is, you know, get get all of us and all of our companies to start backing things up on physical hard drive. The idea of the cloud is inherently insecure. And you know if you like. These companies are pushing us onto the clouds for a long time so they can make more profits rather than looking at security. And of course, we look at Donald Trump and the recent elections we can see if we bring if we get computers out of our lives more and more and off the Internet. We get the cure systems like you know, Trump and all of his supporters were saying forever. Now that oh, the There is voter inaccuracies. But the computers and the software and and the boats being hidden. Well, if everything was pump board and not done with computers, and we learned that from Al Gore losing the election to been stolen from George Bush If everything was on paper and away from computers being a lot better, So my solution is to slowly work our way towards getting away for such dependency on on cyber technology. And as we know, from the Pentagon hacks and other act, there are no securities high enough to keep, uh, keep Google drive from getting hacked. Eventually it will happen. To the best, which you can all have have our own hard drives at home, which is frightening. And I think that's kind of what you were talking about, Wasn't it? John? When you were talking about backing things up you I don't think you were talking about backing them into the cloud. Were you No, I certainly agree. Having the physical, absolutely redundant and necessary. Backup solution is still a valid, you know, potential option and I think that should certainly be done. Back in the days we would use tape archives, and we'd have maybe because whatever cassette case as we needed lying around, but that would work. Yeah. Yeah, you know, And that's why I agree with you. Sometimes You have to go backwards in order to protect yourself or to move forward. Um, let me ask you we have limited time here, and I do want to ask you what you know if people can call you if they find themselves that they're a victim of ransomware attacks. But I do want you to tell us this. Um, how often are the perpetrators of these kind of attacks found out and prosecuted? So we are making progress on this. I think as an industry as a nation, we've seen incredible strides between the cloth arrests the recent Imo to take down A lot of things in the news, especially with the colonial pipeline incident, and then so we had some. We had some intervention, and we were able to step in and retrieve potentially some of the Bitcoin the money that was paid to the thread actors. Yeah, of course there in Russia, and that makes it a little bit harder. Alright, Look, we've got about a minute and 15 seconds. So, um, tell us about your company Huntress labs and can people here in California can they use your services to help them with their own cybersecurity? Absolutely I I certainly don't mean to turn this into a sales pitch or commercial, right. But, hey, if you are affected, if you know organizations are affected or just want to join the hunt can certainly reach out to us support at huntress dot com. We are a software as a service Manage Threat detection company that works in cybersecurity to better protect organizations and make Packers really earn their access or perhaps regret it. I'm still going to work on trying to get somebody in Silicon Valley to develop that boomerang system because I think that's ultimately the answer. Even if right now it's completely out there in space. So John has been delightful to talk with you. I thank you so much for joining us. Now. I've got you in my role Adex, and we're going to call again.

"In speculation quarter on that one. It is, I'd have to say possible but but very difficult to potentially do, Uh, State. I would have to think Google although some of those cloud providers are really taking it, taking it seriously and making sure this is the most secure system they can offer the world. I imagine they have, like military level security there. Yes. What we're seeing kind of with this incident specifically with the Cafe of E s A, uh, is that the attack chain here what we actually happened and how the hackers could have got in. Looking through our logs and the analysis that we've done, Okay, We're seeing threat. Actors reached some files and accessing some Some utility of some portion of the program. That has vulnerabilities that has flaws that has security and software weaknesses. Uh, so I think what stems from this now is really wanting to hold each other accountable. Our vendors are self included. Right over Huntress. We we need to be held accountable and make sure make sure that we're going through auditing our code verifying the software and that we produce is The most secure that it can be whether that's through, uh, an internal red team, right? We do quality assurance on products, but we need to do the exact same sort of thorough test. For software. Alright, My Here's the thing This is, but it seems like this is becoming worse. This isn't getting better. So is there a way this is This is my dream scenario that you or somebody who's really knows this kind of stuff. I mean, we're here in the heart of Silicon Valley that one of these amazing programmers develop some sort of an algorithm. I don't even know what that is, but develop. Some means that you can put into these various system so that if some The attempts ransomware attack on your system that immediately it boomerangs back at them and blows up all of their computers is that you know a possible um A possible thing to do not only to prevent it from happening, but to punish the perpetrators. Could that be done? Or am I just dreaming? Mm. Dreaming I I don't know if I could touch the hot stove and say, you know, they could maybe bounced back and hit the perpetrators. Um On your point of prevention, though. Uh, that is certainly an important piece of the conversation. Uh, preventing this. I have to say our perspective prevention is hard. We have automated security solutions, right? We have our firewall. We have our antivirus. We have whatever blinking box we might go out and buy. Uh And that's necessary. That is absolutely needed. Automation is divine, but we really believe. Hey, we We can't let people out of this equation, uh, security researchers, security practitioners, experts. Well, the reason we could maybe put together the puzzle pieces and follow the breadcrumbs of attacks like this is because we could look at that software and we could see. Hey, this. This looks vulnerable. This looks potentially dangerous. Uh, In some cases, you know, maybe that automated artificial intelligence or machine learning, maybe it's gonna be sleeping on the job, and it might miss something like this. So I just went through cyber training this morning here at our company. And we go through this periodically and one of the things that they train us. Just as you know, Low level employees. Uh, because we don't really do much that you know, we do emails and stuff, but they train us on identifying attempts to get information from us. And they say that it's a really vulnerable point for companies the people who work within these systems and that they are very sophisticated actors in in tricking you into sharing information, um, that is sufficient for them to get control of systems and then ultimately to do incredible damage. I don't know if that means stealing information. Probably. I don't know if it means stealing money. Really? Probably. And I don't know if it means ransom. Where which, at a media organization, the size of ours may actually be a goal. Are we the first front line of protection for, um, you know to to keep these people out of our system. Yes. In the short answer. Yes, Absolutely. That's the role that we all play. Uh, some outage that we've said is a security isn't something that we Can solve, like cyber security isn't something that we could We could just check the box and we'll be done with it. I think cyber security is something that we have to earn every day and that takes everyone being vigilant. Everyone doing our due diligence. Uh, With that said, We have the understanding like Things are gonna happen. Security incidents like this. They're going to happen. No matter how many times we scream and shout at people they don't click that phishing link. Don't don't click that link in your email, right? It still happens. Uh, so it's not a matter of if it's a matter of when and we need to assume compromise and change our mentality. Okay. When this happens, how can we best respond? How can we best recover and best repair? Yeah, Okay, So I want to go back to when I asked, Should you not pay and you were saying that if you have backups in place that you know that's good, and presumably, then you would not pay the ransom. But you also said that in some circumstances, your backups may also have been encrypted. Our people is the solution to that problem that you back up onto a system that is separated from the regular system that you're using for day to day operations. Ideally, Yeah, whatever you can have for redundancies. Uh, oftentimes we throw around, you know, buzzwords like air Gap functionality. Um, and zero trust buzzwords like that, right? Which is greatly whatever you can do to prepare is the best that you can do as long as you prepare as long as this is all done. Fire in advance of, you know when, when it hits the fan. Okay, So if these guys and then you have to like you said, you don't know if these guys are even going to release your information to send you the key. Even if you pay the ransom, there's no assurance that that's going to happen. So you're kind of between Iraq and a hard place. You don't know if they've already taken all of your data, and they're using it. They put it somewhere on the dark Web or they're using it in order to, uh, perpetrate other nefarious Acts against you. You don't know if any of that has happened. So it's really a crapshoot. When you decide that you're going to pay them. Um do you ever recommend to your clients that they should pay the ransom? Oh, so this is an extremely complex and and complicated discussion point, right? I think it's easy to say, I think it's very easy to maybe from a distance. Say, Oh, hey, you should never pay the threat actors. You should never pay the hackers. It's only emboldening the crime even more so they go run on more ransomware rampant streets and do more damage like this. Oh caviar that, though, because If you're in those shoes if it's your business, and we draw this analogy, Hey, if you're a parent and someone kidnapped your child and demand you to pay a ransom, Are you going to pay the ransom? I think it totally changes our perspective when it's When it's you in the heart feet. Can't say I don't have a 100% 1000% guaranteed solution. Uh, But it has to be up to the business of what's best for them control and it's not easy. It's it's hard. It's a really hard decision. Hey, listen, I got to take a break. Can you stay for a few more minutes? I've got a couple more questions. Okay. Great. Thank you so much. John Hammond is our guest. And, um, we're talking about this massive ran somewhere attack that took place recently. John is the senior security researcher at Huntress Labs, and we'll be right back. You're listening to K G L. "100 inland. And they're going to hover around those temperatures throughout the weekend, little cooler on Monday and then cooler still on Tuesday. This is the first in show on kgo a 10. You can now listen at home by simply saying Google play kgo a 10 Now Here's Pat Thurston, you love Good afternoon. I'm Pat Thurston. So, uh, there was a massive ran somewhere attack that took place over this past weekend. You know, the holiday weekend, It was huge. These ransomware attacks seem to be happening with more frequency. I mean, I think they've been happening for quite some time. But it seems as if they're getting bigger. They're becoming more notorious, were becoming more aware of these attacks when they take place. And so I admit that there's not all that much I know about it, but I think all of us need to know more. So a senior security researcher at Huntress Labs John Hammond is joining us right now, John. Thank you so much for being with us this afternoon. Hey, there. Thank you so much for having me happy to chat. I'm so glad you're here and keep in mind that our audience includes people who are really, really smart and tech savvy, and it also includes a lot of us who are not, but you know, and in some cases, we may be part of the problem because a lot of us work in offices where there's very sensitive information. We have access, secure access to, you know, computer systems, and so we may be part of the problem, but let's start with what happened. This past weekend. This massive ransomware attack. What can you tell us about what happened and who was victimized? Absolutely. I can tell you a bit of the story here. So on Friday, the second of July but around noon Eastern time I'm over in Washington, D C myself. We were getting reports from some of our managed service providers or MSP partners, and that they were suddenly hit with ransomware, Uh and read to where folks aren't familiar again, Speaking to the audience here, that sort of that big black maybe sometimes read texts and letters that might pop up on your computer screen telling you Hey, all of your files all your data. All your information has been encrypted. And you'll need to reach out to Assad within a certain amount of time. They try to put a deadline on you and demanding. Hey, maybe hundreds thousands of dollars, maybe millions of dollars and you'll have to pay us to get your data back. And so how many people were affected by this most recent one. When we originally had this report. First, we were hearing that from two organizations, and that number soon became eight number soon became 20 and 30. And, uh, the commonality that we had found it was that each of these organizations, these managed service providers and businesses was using the Casilla de ESA software. And it seems that that VSO software had been compromised and now was using being used to deploy ransomware on that managed service provider. Additionally all of their customers and the small and medium businesses that they provide it solutions for and they had managed So wait a minute number. So help me understand? Cassia does what now? Yeah, to say A is a vendor in that managed service provider channel that provides software that Works for remote monitoring and management. Okay, it's a it's a program or utility that can be used to Kind of keep managing and push updates and work on all of a service providers and and downstream customers and businesses that they might support. So does it seem as if the breach took place there and then gave them access to all of the entities that were utilizing their services. That's correct, OK? Alright. I interrupted you Go on. Oh, no, no, no! Oh, through that via software trickling down to the men and service providers and then further downstream to those Ending resulting businesses while we could say Okay, we see maybe 50 60 70. Men and service providers compromise that stands out and means. All of those businesses that could be effective are now in the range of 1500 or 2000, or more ransom, the organization businesses sticking it. It's truly a supply chain attack, not in the technicality of it, but Through one top branch of the tree down to the next down to the neck. Right? Right. Okay, So, um, who did this? So our understanding is the ransomware that was deployed at all these machines. Uh, route is from our evil or rival, depending on how folks like to pronounce it. That is known Russian ransom, whereas the service gang ransomware threat actor, uh and they have gone publicly stated now on their own spooky, scary, dark Web website. They stated on Friday. We affected over a million endpoints with ransomware. Uh, they they've actually said Hey, if you would like to buy a a universal descriptor, something that could save and rescue and decrypt all of the victims. Here are terms. Here's our our asking price of $70 million Holy cow, You know, I kinda get the concept here. I kind of get what they're able to do. But when people pay them and I know Colonial pipeline when they you know, when they had the ransomware attack. I know they ended up paying them. Is this sort of like, though, that we don't make deals with terrorists? I mean, is this the kind of thing where you just shouldn't pay it? Where you need to have you need to find another way to gain your data back. And if you don't pay it, will they destroy your data? Will there be a way for you to regain control of it to de encrypted? If that's even a word. Oh, there is a lot to unpack there. Absolutely. Where should we start? Well, what do you do? Ransomware attack hits you. What do you do if you're a big corporation first, if you're if you are worth or our utility, you know somebody where people rely on your service, whatever it maybe, and you rely on your computer system in order to provide it. Absolutely the the hope if you ever unfortunately fall victim to ransomware, the hope is that you would have backups in place you would have. Okay. Here's some redundant system. You could recover and restore your data. Ideally, the best you could Okay again that don't have a dependency. Well, what if your backups are encrypted, and they're also hit with ransomware? Uh, If you play the game, right? If you were to go pay those threat actors and pay the ransom, you have to keep in mind. It's still a dice roll a bit of a gamble as to whether or not They will give you that equipment key or have they already? Maybe gone out and publicly shared all of your information her download out on the dark Web or are they auctioning it off to the highest bidder? Are they selling your data? Out there. John, this is Paul in the newsroom. You know, I years ago, gave my life over to Google and pretty much all my documents I save on the Google drive in the cloud, and, you know, while I'm just, you know this sort of one. Nobody. Yeah, There's a lot of people who have a tremendous amount of stuff stored on the Google drive Apple drives in the club. The nightmare scenario is that somebody's going to hack the Google drives all of them and want to ransom from Google is that possible? It's so truthfully, I'd have to.

More people return to offices. Charlie Pellets, Bloomberg Radio Global News 24 Hours a day on air and on Bloomberg. Quick take powered by more than 2700, journalists and analysts in more than 120 countries. I'm Susanna Palmer, This is Bloomberg. This is Bloomberg Intelligence with Alex Steel and Paul Sweeney on Bloomberg Radio. We're going to be here each and every week at this time tapping into our Bloomberg intelligence analysts covering some 2000 companies and 130 Industries World Wide Everybody's heard of Tesla. Everybody probably wants a Tesla. Even those in China want and love a Tesla. However, there are a ton of other electric vehicle companies within China that are also gearing up to take on musk's superstar that one of them is neo and potentially, they might have a faster path to profitability than we thought. Right for more. We're pleased to welcome Joel Levington, director of credit research for Bloomberg. Intelligence. First. Just give us the primer on what Neo is last time. I took down the company a couple years ago. They had a good idea, and they were seriously bleeding money. Yeah. No, Alex, let's break it down. Neo is a company that still bleeding money, Although it looks like it will turn profitable in 2022, Really? The similarities are many with Tesla, but with a few differences. Both are manufacturers both compete in very large markets for Tesla, mainly North America, although it's also in China and has established itself in Europe. Neo is really a Chinese player right now, although it's also exposed to add Norway job and both make cars that are luxury premium branded That's where the the differences stop with with Tesla. It is a very vertically integrated business, so they do everything from the manufacturing of the car too many of its components, including the batteries. And they also do the dealership. So he kind of run the whole business and that has some pros and cons. It's much more capital intensive, but you're grabbing all of the margin out of all those areas. Kneel, on the other hand, is not vertically integrated. They have a joint venture for manufacturing with with a Chinese company called Jacks. And they also outsource the battery with a partner called C A. P L and between those two it makes it makes the new business a less fixed capital intensive business, which enables it to generate catch low quicker. And so to me neo of tomorrow meeting 2022 looks very similar from a From a business standpoint of Tesla in 2016, but with a wider product line and arguably arguably in a higher growth market than Tessa was. How do you do with the volatility? If you're a credit guy? Yeah. No, That's a great question because there are no credit ratings on neo It was tricky. Yeah, it's definitely tricky. Luckily, we were able to re engineer Moody's methodology. The Bloomberg terminal has great functions like the RSK, which tell you about default risk. We also have my background has nine years of experience that s and P and using all three methodologies we came out with with with neo having risk about a mid to high single B, which Amazing isn't is a weak credit, but it's certainly not one that is going to be on a deathbed anytime soon. Where Tesla really was three years ago when it was trying to scratch out profits and, you know, issued its first unsecured bonds. Do you think that the market wants a neo car or do they want a Tesla car? Or is there room for both? I think the answer is there's there's room for both. The Chinese market is over 20 million cars a year and it's just 10% easy right now, but rapidly growing, and there are a lot of great players in that in that in that market, including neo ID. Volkswagen and Daimler are going to be strong competitors in the coming years. But that is a market that is destined to become a market much quicker. And so there's certainly room for multiple players, just like there has been in the United States for ice engines. And so I think they'll all be able to get a good market share and do quite well in terms of profitability as their businesses scale up in in the platform. In terms of the government. How does China feel about neo? I think all countries tend to feel like autos are in an extremely important component of their economy, and you can see that whether it's the U. S. That has helped helped out GM. And then they didn't need to do that with Ford. But you can see that with all country then China certainly supported neo. You know, a year or so ago when it was struggling, and he supported the business, and I would assume that it will continue to support its own domestic manufacturers. Because there are so many jobs that are based around autos, and it's not just the auto itself. But it's the the engineering and software and the suppliers. The dealers that go around cars. It's the insurance. Create so many jobs off of autos that it becomes critically important to most governments to maintain a healthy market for the for the manufacturers. Yeah, It's really interesting. I mean, you just so you know, Boeing and Airbus and ending their You know, decade almost long dispute, and you wonder how the subsidy thing will play into in factor into E V s, um, for different countries. All right. Thanks so much Jill. Really interesting stuff to say that develops Joel Levington, director of credit research for Bloomberg Intelligence. All right, Coming up on the program. You got Rocca's Tech like valuation may be out of media acquires reach. So what happens more on that next? You're listening to Bloomberg Intelligence on Bloomberg Radio, providing in depth research and data on 2000 companies. 130.

"Service with me Julie America coming up a little later are babies born since the start of the Covid pandemic, less confident Because they're not used to seeing uncovered human faces. Babies learn from studying faces. Lockdowns have meant fewer new faces around and many of those were half covered. It is too early in the pandemic to say what the effect of this has been on Children's early development. But already psychologists noticing changes. The babys we are seeing now are much higher than the babys we were seeing before the pandemic. We'll hear more of that one mother's personal take on that issue a little bit later. I have two guests with me throughout the program. Adobe Tricia Nubani is Nigerian novelist and journalist based in the capital Abuja. And Roger Garside is a British author, former diplomat and capital markets adviser based here in the UK or him, or from both of them in a moment, But first to that ransomware story. Cybersecurity firm Huntress Labs said about 200 businesses in the country have been affected by a hack targeted at a Miami based IT company called Cassia. This attack, then spread through corporate networks using that firms software. Casillas said it was investigating a potential attack on a tool called V S a And urged customers using it to shut down their service Hunters. Labs said it believed the Russia linked revel Ransomware gang was behind the attack. Well, Joseph Men is a writer and reporter for the Reuters news agency based in San Francisco and specializing in cyber security issues. He's been covering this developing story and is on the line now, Joseph Welcome. Good morning. Good evening. Good evening from you indeed. Ransomware attacks. What are we actually talking about in practice here? Well, um, you know, this has been a growing scourge for for years, where typically various gangs working by themselves or with affiliates Frank into a company. Encrypt files, frequently steal information and demand money for decryption or to not publish what they found. Um, usually it's It's not very sophisticated. Usually they're looking for, uh Companies that have in points that are protected only by a password. That could be guest, um or stolen and they don't have two factor authentication or there's some other, you know they they failed to patch known vulnerability, that sort of thing. What's scary about this particular attack? Is that it? It was called the supply chain attack. They have attacked a company, a a known and trusted quantity that is used by many, many customers. In this case, some 40,000 customers. And they break into that they corrupt that. Um and there's this way almost no way to defend against right. It's spread quite widely. Hence the 200 businesses that are being quoted Right 200 that we know of right And that's going to say it may have spread further and the impact on those companies while this is playing out, I mean, can they not function? Um, it depends. So they're all of them. The 200 have had some files encrypted. Um there's been lateral movement within their environment, so they've equipped at the end point is, I don't think that they've been able to, um, exfiltrate data in this case, so it's more a matter of Corrupting the data that they have on site and they don't have to worry about customer data leaking as far as we know yet Um But, yeah, it's a tremendous handicap. Even if just to if they got the warning in time and have disabled the NSA servers that still might have impacted how they do business. Uh And have sums of money being demanded by those who have done this. Right, so there's a variety of events where demands Pardon me, ranging from a few $1000 on the low end to $5 million. It is likely that the $5 million demands are of when service providers that we're using the essay to manage multiple clients. So, yeah, that's why they might be willing to pay. It's not clear that the the payments are actually going through if they're being made yet there's some complications about it. People that are Exploring like how to pay if they want to, or running into roadblocks. It doesn't appear to be like a not pet your situation where it's just, you know, the money isn't the point. It's just about disruption and destruction. But that's so possibility. At this point, I mentioned that hundreds labs said it believed the Russian linked revel. Ransomware gang was behind the attack. Is that a credible allegation? Who are these people? Hundreds is is reputable firm. Um and and yes. Others have also said that it shares code with the revel software. Rebel was one of the major France workings out there. The Russian speaking at least some of them are in Russia, and there they were in the headlines relatively recently for their attack on a the one of the world's largest meat packers. Um In the U. S. The largest one in the U. S actually, based in in Brazil. There are known dangerous entity and they they do what's called big game hunting. Often where they look for I highly prized targets like the meat that could GPS, um because they'll pay more, all of which is all of which is bound to raise further questions about us. Russian Relations in the context of cybersecurity. Well, that that's right. I mean, it is the beginning of the July four weekend. Apparently, some of the payment demands say that there be as they do often, they say that the payment will double if they're not paid within. Two days. Uh, sense of long weekend. It's the July 4th national holiday in the US and Putin and Biden just met..
