"Weekend, get out and do whatever you want to do. Enjoy yourself. Hopefully the weather will be cooperating that said, We're going to be talking about gardening today. As a twist. I thought maybe we talk horticulture changing it up a little bit, right. I like where you're going with this. And, uh, of course, encouraging those on Facebook live to post your Questions or comments. And we also welcome those on this talk radio listening to this pre recorded broadcast from last week that said, We're up and running, Tiger. Yeah. Happy weekend. Happy week. Absolutely No, it was really nice this morning waking up to because it was misty. Always nice walking outside in the morning and feeling a little bit of missed as you exit the house just because you just know it's at least it's not starting off dry and hot, right? And it's nice to be in the morning a gentle easy Into the day. What about the extended forecast for the weekend? John? I was just thinking about if if you ever add to your prayers, Tiger Clay, Misty for me to play Misty for me, Tiger. You saw the movie, right, Tiger? Yes. Hey, Um uh, well, you just mentioned that I was back in West Virginia, Kentucky area and Tri State area. Ohio is in there, too. And, uh, it was interesting because I've never been there in a Was, you know, I'm originally from Michigan. So this time of year, Michigan's all green trees leafing out West Virginia was ahead of them, probably by two or three weeks. The the dogwoods were already bloomed out, but the Chinese dogwoods were blooming. There. Later, blooming hydrangeas were starting to bloom. But, um, I was going to going to make a point in Michigan. It's all green. But in West Virginia, it's all green. But Hilli, Michigan. Yeah, sure. Yeah. So you had the hills of West Virginia really looked awesome. That's fine. It was. Yeah, Everywhere, you electric green, Hilly, And it was kind of tropical, You know, little humid And you wouldn't think tropical in that part of the country, but definitely human, right? Yeah, it was the first few days of two days were nice. The next day. Got a little steamy. We said we need to go home. I mentioned you guys the airports were work. Crazy. There was just said, Yeah, that was like pre covid time Self. Some people are getting getting back to where they once belonged. Yeah. I mean, everybody's getting out of town this weekend. So, Yeah, it's the first chance to move out and about and you can imagine the Pacific Beach area in this city getting into PB from the five, which runs north and south. Obviously, for those who live in San Diego, it's just backed up. It's terrible. Stay away anywhere near the coastline, traffic and I used to live there. I didn't have that. Problem. But now I just like now you know what Carla from Huntington Beach? Says she loves your daily, Is there? Yeah, I'm going to be talking about names. Yeah, these are the ones that I'm growing. I'm excited about them as well. Because this is the first time I've grown like mail ordered values in my garden, and it worked. You know, the first time I ever just grew them and so let me see altogether beautiful. Zoom in on that pic real quick. You know what those are bigger than your face? Well, that's the cool thing right? Like these large ones are called. Interplay dahlias. So this one here is bohemian Spartacus. So that's kind of a knee strike colored one. This one. That's a great name for that one. I was thinking the same thing. Bohemian Spartak. This one's black narcissus with a deep deep red there. This is a bronze. Um, pom Pom one. Uh huh. That's pretty big for a pump pump, too. You know, with apologies to those listening to talk radio all the more reason to watch our show. Live on Facebook. If you're listening to this talk, you can go to Facebook and look up the last show and see what Tiger was. John is correct, Right? Absolutely junk. When it doesn't have a name I ordered. I ordered a grab bag and mixed bag of them. And that was the one that came out of that. So I can't tell you the specific name on that. But I will say that Adam as they grew, this pink one was the very first and biggest plant. Uh and and then it was black Narcissus, Spartacus, and then I think the bronze ones were actually kind. Right there in the middle as well. Just kind of forgot about how long from the time you planted them to fruition. As we see today, months. I feel okay. Yeah, all right. It's been a few months back in mortgage plan back in March. Yep. I think that's when I got him at the house. So, Yeah, so it's you know, but these are all the first flowers off of them. And there's buds coming still coming up, because that's the thing is the Dahlia is also, um, you know, they have multiple stems coming off of them, So it's not just one flower and then that's it. Off of that same you've got two or three other stems coming off, and then they are all blooming at different times. So I'm and those are not early, which I'm excited about. I'm just going to get more and more as he grows Kathy up in. Ellen says that hers won't bloom until July, July. Really? Yeah, well, the ones kind of up in the mountains going to say it's colder than right, causing the delay it a little more heat gets warm. I think she might even be waiting for the snow to melt. Oh, jeez. Now I'm kidding about that. From what? Dalia company. Did you order those from? Um Eden Brothers? Eden Brothers? Yeah, He didn't brothers, So I was excited to get them and they look great. And I have some alliums coming from them as well. But I'm gonna try out. See how those go Williams don't grow here. I know, but but he's with the rebel in us. Like right there, John. Challenging exactly Why Alright, We're going to try to grow them. Exactly. So I mean there. Some types of volumes and alliums are in the the onion family, Right garlic, So garlic and onions grow here. Maybe there's some type of Valium and that's justices. I will find some alliums, and then I'll be the guy that grows alliums and Southern California. Did you remember? Um I can't remember the names now. They were really unusual names. But when we were at when we were in England, Yeah. Do you remember that allium display? Yes. And they had him in Rome. Right. And you They went from tallest to smallest and largest head size to smaller head side. And they were all perfectly in line and like that is so cool. And there were some really twisted strange ones. This was at the Hampton Court Flower show. Yeah, and I didn't take down any names. I did take some pictures. So maybe are you saying you didn't take any names? Oh, funny. Use that expression because I Have a Rome, however, arose arose at home and the name is, uh, hurts us. Oh is a German name and and and I was thinking, you know, English translation could be kicked spot. Yeah, but here to ask Means, um, I think it means you're on the beeper there. That's never not funny Whenever he says it nice things. It means, uh, every five years old red ace, Okay, ready? I think I've come up with better rose names than that. Gosh, I'm still trying, John. I'm not going to give up not going to give up. So we are back. Thank you for setting the stage here for our show..

We seemed to have an accumulation of personal property. And really an accumulation of refuse. City Councilman Mike Posey says written notices will be posted, and after 24 hours, the stuff will be collected and stored. Anything that could be contaminated with bodily fluids or human waste would be disposed of, He says. Storage is available for those who check into the city's new shelter. "Forty I. Heart radio station KFI. AM six forty Conway Some kind of. Odor happening in Huntington, beach Then people are pissed about I don't know, if. That's it or not man But people, don't like it but before we get into that we got some dangerous rip currents here and we, always lose a couple of people in these things and everyone knows or, if you're born and raised here in southern California you know that if you are caught in one of. These currents you you swim parallel to the coast it's very difficult to remember because you're panicking at the time because the, ocean is dragging you what seems like to Hawaii but, it's not if you swim parallel. To the coast that's how you beat these things we are here in Huntington beach where they are warning folks about the rip. Currents that are going to be out there today and tomorrow the national weather service actually has a beach hazard statement out about this warning. Folks that the rip current going to be strong they're expecting waves of about four, to eight feet during the next couple of, days but that's not what, they're so concerned, about whether they're so concerned about like I said is the rip current. Talk to Lieutenant Claude Pontus of the Huntington, beach Lifeguards out here a little bit ago here's how he described the situation probably the biggest, hazard on our beaches something that accounts for over ninety percent of a, rescues is a rip current what a rip current is it's like a curtain of water that will pull. You from where it's shallow out to where it's deep as the waves wash up on the beach the water eventually washes, back down and tries to seek it's own level and, it does it by going through. Holes obstructions it creates a current that pulls from inside to the outside.

"Mike in huntington beach california hello mike hi leo thanks for taking my call my pleasure thanks for calling i don't know if you're assistant informed years to what my calls about but i'm a real estate agent in huntington beach broker nice i want to get one of those houses on the ocean those really expensive down there dad i'm living on the water right now that's where i wanna be and then you have this great great farmers market there i love huntington beach we have the best climate in the world yeah yeah all right anyway we'll be right there or houses we try to create a mood sure have nice music do you bake bread and have cookies and you've got you maybe a little apples later yeah yeah you know the evening would you wine we don't very smart make it a great experience is smart music is part of it and unfortunately i've been carrying around one of the old boombox a little cd player with a detachable speakers and i want to step up into technology and be able to use the wireless speakers like in place in different rooms in the house including the backyard and i tried to research those myself i totally confused as to what they can and can't do so yeah let me what you wanna do and why you've got it's technically a little difficult so if you were to say get a bunch of bluetooth speakers and put them in every room and then control it with your iphone i mean there is the basic issue of having the iphone control multiple speakers but let's put that aside the big issue the bigger issue would be they wouldn't be in sync and even if they're all playing the same music one might be half second behind the other end it would make basically an echo chamber would sound horrible home so this is where a comes that's just doing their ipo right now just up the way from you santa barbara sonos was the first to do this right they have what you're looking for is multi room sound and if money were no object you could put in fact i bet you a lot of your buyers and putting sonos in their house they're completely wireless they do have to have internet access and you could put one in each room and they have this they were the first to do this is amazing party mode where they can all be playing the same beautiful music in perfect synchronization so as you move from room to room it feels like the whole house has music and there's no discernible difference from one room to the other which is i know exactly what we're looking for yeah but it's way too expensive and there's other issues is really designed for kind of a more permanent you want something you could just bring to the house and set up so there there there are a number of ways to do multi room audio the good news is this has been solved sonos did it and for a long time was the only company that did it but now there are many other companies that do it and they're even and i think this is the solution you want their even portable bluetooth speakers that will do it so because that's what you really want you want to go in there you have the music on your phone i presume right correct and you want to just you know as you you you getting the house ready for the open house put a little speaker in each room and then on your phone you go boom boom and let's play a little bells cannon d and you got it going through the whole house and that is now doable thank goodness because this technology has been figured out the one i'd probably recommend is one i use is from a company you probably have heard of called banging olafsson they're very well known for high end audio brand yeah but they make something called the beal link to have one i happen to have one right here beal can you spell that oh link and their little blue they have a variety of sizes but they're little bluetooth speakers and what happens is you have the b o link app on your phone and that controls them and they support multi room and.
