'Guilt by Accusation': Alan Dershowitz on His 'MeToo' Experience
"People will consider you a very prominent liberal were accused of these things to the point where you wrote a book about it and tell us what happened to you if you would. Well, I was totally false accusation. It wasn't one of these gray areas. As well, they had sex was consensual. It wasn't it. I never met the woman never heard of her. It was a completely made up story. And I said that from day one, I said from day one that wouldn't be any photographs that wouldn't be any witnesses. This is not a gray area case. In the end, I said right from the beginning, I would be totally exonerated and everybody would understand this never, ever, ever happened. Now I want to move on to helping other people who have been accused. And I think this is a pandemic in the United States now. I know a lawyer in Los Angeles, who says she writes a hundred thousand dollar check once a week on behalf of prominent Los Angeles people. People just walk into the office and say, well, I'm going to accuse this guy unless you pay me a hundred grand and of course it never happened, but paying a hundred grand is a lot better than suffering a $1 million worth of publicity. So it's called extortion. I'm not a lawyer, but this seems to me, we know it's wrong, but it isn't it criminal. It isn't it extraordinary. It won't stop until the false accusers go to prison and there are lawyers who facilitated them, go to jail. You know, it was Eric Hoff, for the great street philosopher who once said, they started harness causes. They then become movements, then businesses, and then rackets. And the me too movement is all those phases. And the real victims of false accusations are the real victims of sexual abuse, because when people start making up stories, then the credibility of the whole movement comes into effect. So I think I'm a strong supporter of the real me too movement, but I think there ought to be another me too movement. Me too. I've been wrongly accused along with so many other people, and we have to fight back. The reason

Raheem joins us Raheem kassam remi, welcome to the Charlie Kirk show. Thank you for having me. Yeah, you bet. Thank you. So you wanna talk about this Liz Cheney story in The New York Times. And it's in the ways that countless Cheney won your thoughts on this. I have a lot of thoughts on this Charlie. So it originally I thought to myself on our talking about Liz Cheney. Liz Cheney wants us talking about Liz Cheney. So my instinct in that is to say, no, actually, I don't really want to talk about Liz Cheney, but then I was sitting around last night in bringing to spin this one, so I started to look at the returns in from Wyoming themselves. Look at the commentary around her and of course we've got this amazing, amazing. I mean, bro I've had in months and months and months on article in The New York Times today by Frank Bruni, which said Liz Cheney won in the way that Liz Cheney won. Well, let me consoling themselves right now, having lost all of their impeachment managers, having lost all of the people at all. Every single one almost of them are gone out of Congress already. And the controlling themselves is that they accused us of our side of back in 2020. But there were two one in Wyoming and by two ways, I mean two counties. Now there was one county orbiting county reported an oddball in Wyoming. But the more interesting story is what I think of the entire battle going on in America right now. And that's teton county. Wyoming. County in America is the only county that Liz Cheney carried with any reasonable margin that she can say I absolutely won that one. The average income is three hundred thousand dollars.

You bought your house at one hundred thousand your houses now worth five hundred thousand five hundred thousand might as hundred thousand. Your gain has been four hundred thousand dollars now. You still live in the house. You haven't sold the house you don't have the four hundred thousand dollars. Congressional democrats however have decided they're going to tax you on that four hundred thousand dollars you don't have to forge those you would have to sell your house to get the four hundred thousand dollars in the debris progressively that that's okay. You sell your house we want. We want the game. We wanna tax the gain the money that you don't have the money that doesn't exist imaginary money now for now. They're not doing it to your house. But i also don't make money a like a waiter waiting tables. I looked at my tax returns last night. I was curious. The last full year that i lived in new york as a fulltime new york resident city state federal taxes forty eight point five percent. I gave almost half of my income back to the government. Because of the pandemic almost forty percent taxes came to thirty eight percent. Is that my fair share. How much is my fair share. How much is the fair share of a somebody who owns a farm and makes four five six eight hundred thousand dollars a year. Somebody who owns a restaurant. Somebody has an insurance agency. Somebody has a small business. Somebody who's a lawyer doctor. A pilot into whatever you do for a living. What is the fair. Share biden keeps repeating it like rainman waiting for judge. House Democrats Propose New Tax Hikes to Pay for Their $3.5 Trillion Bill
"In congress are moving ahead with president biden spending plan. It includes up to three point. Five trillion dollars for new programs mostly aimed at helping lower income americans. They plan to finish work today on a long list of new tax increases to make that spending possible. Npr congressional correspondent kelsey. Snell has been looking into this story. Good morning kelsey. good morning. What are democrats proposing re taxes. So democrats say they can raise at least two trillion dollars in as much as three trillion dollars with this plan. You know the big ticket items are increases to the top corporate and individual rates. You know basically they're trying to roll back. The tax cuts republicans passed under president trump. In two thousand seventeen okay. Let's parse those two out. What would this mean for taxes on individuals on the individual side. Democrats promised voters that they'd undo taxes for the wealthy and this is really their moment to do that. They want to return the top tax rate to thirty nine point six for individuals. Earning over four hundred thousand dollars. They also want to increase the rate high income. People pay for selling things like stocks and other assets. It's called the capital gains rate. And they wanna make the top rate for that twenty five percent which is a pretty big hike and what would it mean for businesses. Their plan would increase the top corporate tax rate from twenty one percent to twenty six and a half percent. Now that is not a full reversal of the tax cuts. Republicans passed and it's lower than what biden proposed they also plan to include changes to the rules for pass through businesses. Now sometimes that includes doctors and lawyers but it basically means that someone reports business income on their individual taxes and they wanna make it harder for companies to avoid the new higher taxes. How are republicans responding to these proposals while republicans say that the bill will actually have some pretty harmful effects on the economy. Mostly by making the us an unattractive place to run a company and they say it would penalize companies. That would normally use the money. They'd have to pay in new taxes to reinvest in their

Geez that's fucked up. Thanks so that's the internet's reaction was like you were like near you. Were almost thirty. And you're fucking in eighteen year olds and then light. Groom them like had a baby. And then i took his money and like if the tables returned it would be a whole mess faulk then and then. She went on the internet and was like the two hundred thousand dollars. A month thing is not true. I can't believe you guys think groomed him like you guys believe too much on the internet. He had gone on twitter. Tweeted like so you were faking it. The whole time just sub three. But he said that. So that's whenever it was like. Oh my god look at the poor. Pj washington got fucked over and but then he tweeted later. Like don't believe everything you read on the internet too. So like they kind of and they they. They both liked each other posts. So hopefully that means on some level. They're like co-parenting and like on the same page somewhat but it does seem like there was some grimy shit going on and like yeah that's fucked again with like the the the gender reversals. It's like if if that happened to a check. It'd be like what the fuck just because it's a ball player. Who's do well for himself doesn't mean that it's not entirely fucked up and the poor kid too i mean the whole thing is jacked up but But yeah the internet was believing that it was two hundred thousand dollars a month. And i was like bro. Pj washington makes four million dollars a year. There's no way it's two hundred thousand dollars. Yeah i mean. I couldn't afford dr drey. Pays his wife. And jesus billion. So now i don't think so all right one more voicemail we've got. Kfc fights the gang. I gotta hypothetical here for you Thought about this a couple times thing is kind of interesting..
