The Giants advanced to the divisional rounds of the NFC playoffs by beating the Vikings 31 24. Quarterback Daniel Jones sparked the Giants offense, throwing for 301 yards and two touchdown passes while running for another 78 yards to lead New York toward its first postseason triumph since Super Bowl 46. I think it's a big win for us, obviously big playoff game. I thought we played well. All three phases and did enough to win the game. Saquon Barkley's second touchdown run of the game, midway through the fourth quarter, provided the margin of victory snapping at 24 24 time. The New York defense held legally to Justin Jefferson to just 47 yards receiving. Kirk Cousins is now one in three in the playoffs. With that lone win being the miracle in Minneapolis three years ago. Extremely disappointing to not win the night, didn't see the season end in the way it did. And it hurts, so we didn't make enough place to win. Every play matters so much, and there were many that we'd love to have back. Craig heist was at a classic AFC north battle. Sam humbert's 98 yard touchdown return of a Tyler Huntley fumbled with 1139 to go in the fourth quarter snapped to 17 all tie as the Bengals hung on to beat the ravens 24 to 17. Credit to Logan Wilson punching it out and just being the right place right time. Got a few blocks along the way and I was just worried about getting tracked down and I'm glad I made it to the end zone. Joe burrow threw for a touchdown and ran for another while Raven quarterback Tyler Huntley threw for two scores, but he was also intercepted. His last second pass on fourth down with no time left fell incomplete. The wild card round concludes with the Buccaneers hosting the cowboys. Dallas earned four more wins during the regular season, but Tampa Bay gained home field by winning its division at 8 and 9. Bucks quarterback Tom Brady is seeking an 8th Super Bowl title and knows what it'll take to win on Monday. You're gonna have to make the plays at the end. And it's tough because there's good teams and there's little margin of air. And all these teams are well coached. I got good offenses, good defenses. They got a lot of good playmakers. Those are the best teams that are playing right now and you've got to play good if you want to if you want to advance. Brady is 7 or all time versus the cowboys. Cowboys quarterback dak Prescott is still chasing his first Super Bowl title and has lost three of his four playoff starts. So there's a sense of urgency. We've got to win, obviously every playoff game you go into it, thinking you've got to win, but having the past experiences I've had in the playoffs just understanding the team that we have, what we're capable of doing, being on the road, just know that we got to go in. JJ and James Nitties Reminisce About Playing Slow Golf With Tony Romo
"We get there, and I can't remember who was first to hit. I think mitts hit it first, and it was way right. And I hit it infinity right. And Romo hits it. At least as far left as we hit it right to start this thing. And so now we got guys like all over the place. Well, they call each of us to the two to the T, whatever. We do our bullshit, practice swing hit, whatever we do. Flare went out there. They call him, and he's still like, he's on the cart path when they call him to hit. Like, usually all three guys are standing on the T when you're like ready to roll, right? He's on the car path, and he's got, I don't know, it was probably the tightest, the tightest band, whatever it, whatever the tightest band was, the black level. I know there are different colors, but the one where you can barely move your legs apart and he's doing like these hard freaking squats slash kegels slash, I don't know what you call them, but he's going up and down the cart path in a line before he even starts. So no practice doing any rips it off. You know how those things are a pain in the ass to get off anyway, like imagine wearing a golf shoes, like rips it off, then he gets to the first tee and hits it 50 miles left. Well, it was one of those holes, ninny, did you ever think we were going to finish that hole? And now we're waiting for him to hit up up and bloody hit it a hundred yards short of the green, then we tip up, we're like this is crazy. So then we chip up, he finally hits it on the green, and now we're all on the grade, probably whatever. I think that teton was 8 24. It's probably like 9 a.m. by now. And then we'll somehow I made my part in JJ made his for a good bogey on the tent and yeah, so that was he too part of it and that was fun.

Here again, to give you a little interesting factoid, one third of all the Japanese that died on that island of 20,000 men were incinerated, were burned alive. So that was the key weapon that you had to use in order to take over the island. And what he was one of the men that carried it into battle. Wow, that I didn't know, and that is fascinating. Now, what was one of the standout stories besides that one, obviously, when you were doing your research and conducting your interviews that really jumped off the page? Well, you know, it was the fanaticism of the Japanese. We deal with fanatic warriors all the time in modern day. When we're in Afghanistan with the Taliban, are the ISIS when we're in Iraq. And we have a lot of these religious nut jobs that are blowing themselves up and thinking they can go to 72 versions and so on. Well, you had just as much fanaticism in the Japanese military and religious nut jobs thinking they were going to go to the Yakuza shrine and become gods and the Shinto religion and so on. But they were backed up and trained by a modern military, they were well organized and they were very motivated to die for their emperor. And in modern warfare, Japan is the only nation that really lived up to that creed when a lot of people go into battle that they're going to bite to the debt. They literally thought to 98% fatality rate and that's been added to them. I knew the Japanese were very fanatic and very motivated. But knowing just how motivated they were to fight to the very end was something that I was not expecting. And quite often, our boys, when we sent them in the combat and World War II, with Japan, they knew that Japan, Japanese soldiers were very dedicated, but still until they experienced it, it shocked and to no end. And so I write about how it was very hard for our men to deal with that and also just describe why the Japanese were so motivated as such. So that's

"You played in how many U.S. opens? You played in two or three U.S. opens. Two, two. So like Marion is super short, like I played whatever the USM there. And it's like the longest 6600 yard course ever, but like it's really short, but I would say that's quirky as hell. Marion is, right? They had a really bad logistics problem that year. I mean, it's such a small property that people were on top of each other. We were actually teeing off on the 14th hole, no, sorry, hold on. 18, 17, 16, 15. So 15 for y'all, it was probably like, what, three 50? It was super short. But they teed us off in the U.S. open off of the practice funny green, which was another hundred yards back. So it made it a dumb hole. It made it a really dumb hole because the out of bounds, if it's right by the fairway. They're on the left. So if you hit the left side of the fairway, you got a bad kick, it went out of bounce. And it wasn't a fence. It wasn't a fence. It was like one pole here and then another 15 foot. There's another pole there. That other pole. So it would just go right through out of bounds every time. It was kind of dumb. I didn't think that Marion U.S. open set up was that great. I retired once and I'm working again for the last 6 years just because I can't set home and do nothing. Sure. I happen to work in an auto dealership. I'm in and out of people's cars, different people, every day, all the time, I can not I can not believe that some of these so called intelligent people, I guess. They still, they still masks for some reason or other. You see a man walking through a wound walking down the road with nobody within a hundred yards of him wearing their mask. I've never seen any more fearful people in my entire life. Now, but let me respond, but allow me to respond to that for just a moment. We got to remember something. You and I are on the same page. We obviously agree completely. But here's what I think you need to remember. If somebody wants to wear a mask, let them let them, you know? I mean, we don't know what's going on in their life. They might have stage four cancer, Howard. They might have, you know what I mean? And I know that people are afraid. You and I are fed up and most people aren't anymore, but I do think we have to have a modicum of understanding for people who might want to wear a mask for their own particular reason. Stop right now shoots the guy speed on the woman the woman pulls out a gun and shoots the good guy that's really going on. I'm not saying. I would never help anybody out. But very cautious because of stuff. I've read of things like that. Were not necessarily the woman pulls it out but she you shoot the guy that's beating earnings threatening to kill her and you court and she's saying it wasn't this way now you're in a bad way and you got to spend more money in time to try to get out of this when you were trying to be the good guy doubt about it happens you know i talked to. Police officer was shot by a woman in domestic violence call. They went in and pull this guy out who was beaten on his wife and then the wife gets kicked off. End up shooting officer. So it's just one of those deals and and this is somebody with you know pretty trainings. Who has you know police background and everything else. I think about this stuff and make a commitment to go get training for people who teach this. It's very involved. It's a lot more than you used to thinking about.
