Masks on Kids: Science or Abuse?
"Have to ask ourselves. The question is the chinese corona virus. The chief virus a serious threat to children. That's the first question. And so dr maccari wrote a story wrote a piece. I should say for the wall street journal where he studied. Tens of thousands of over forty thousand children with the virus was not able to find one child that died from the virus that did not have underlying health conditions and didn't have Some sort of immuno-compromised condition. And so you look even more broadly than that. This is from the new york times. I just wanna read this. Which has annual deaths among children in the united states. now this is per one hundred thousand people so children five fourteen years old. Have a two point one per one hundred thousand chance of dying from cancer. A one point nine per one hundred thousand chance of dying from vehicle accidents one point five per one hundred thousand die from suicide. We'll get back to that in the second point. Seven from homicide point six from cardiovascular disease point five from drowning point three from flu and point to from cova no that's not percentage that's per one hundred thousand so the question is if children are at greater risk of writing a clark school than while the sudden we now mandate the mass for children's. I think we're talking about two different things. And i think we'll have a fun time. Going back and forth at the unscripted part of this is do. Schools have the ability in the authority. And is it a good idea. I'm gonna start with whether it's a good idea that we can get into the other one. It's an awful idea. it's bad for interaction. it's bad for childhood development. We already see the increase in mental health issues that i will go through some numbers associated with that but everyone is kind of experienced that in their own way and saying to a child who is not at considerable risk of dying from a certain virus. That you must change the way you interact. I think it's child

The Silent Majority of America Will Not Be Denied
"Watching biden try to change the subject away from afghanistan is quite a thing to behold president biden has done a miserable job with afghanistan. Everybody knows it now. There are reports of as expected the taliban hunting people down. You've got americans who are literally held hostage and americans you know there's an old phrase the silent majority. I'm old enough to remember that back. In the day there was a silent majority of americans who would not be denied. And we're starting to see it. I think we're seeing silent. The american people normal americans the normal. The people who are not driven by an agenda who don't accept lives who don't accept immediate narrative. I mean the media is in our face day in and day out and they got to be going crazy over the way. And it's almost like the joke is pan-demic what pandemic but it's a reflection of the american people saying i've had enough.

would like to visit with you about the other big live tonight which one additionally there were a couple dozen democratic candidates for president Joe Biden was not among them because he doesn't want to be president until April twenty first and that was the day that you crane had an election and a former corrupt president that Joe Biden could snap his fingers that was unseated and replaced with an anti corruption president of Donald Trump could snap his fingers that Zelinsky three three days later Joe Biden said I want to be president not to be president but to change his status from former but the I think a as I've said before and I'll say it again in October the forces of evil do not want four more years of trump and they know the main reason he will be reelected as a burgeoning strong economy it wouldn't take a lot of the communist red Chinese or the Russians or the Iranians or others to make sure to do something to ruin the American economy on the eve of the election so trump does not win and one of the killer bees get in that they can manipulate you can't I cannot conceive of Bernie booted judge sitting opposite the prime minister of the leader of North Korea communist red those states back integrator Mexico actually they just they stole it from the Spaniards stole it from the north American native tribes it never was Mexico is a big lie but I would like to visit with you about the other big live tonight which one additionally there were a couple dozen democratic candidates for president Joe Biden was not among them because he doesn't want to be president until April twenty first and that was the day that Ukraine had an election and a former corrupt president that Joe Biden could snap his fingers that was unseated and replaced with an anti corruption president Donald Trump could snap his fingers that Zelinsky three three days later Joe Biden said I want to be president not to be president but to change his status from former corrupt official worthy of their investigation to political candidate jumps opponents so that his friends in the house could repeat the mantra like a broken record investigated and for personal gain it's all of Phil's they lie to the beginning of the lies however how much is the idea that Obama puts him in charge of Ukraine in communist red China and within a few days after each visit by Biden and by Obama what happens is his son gets one point five billion out of Beijing then he gets three million dollars out of the Ukraine and the media quickly announces there's no there there is some sort of conspiracy theory it's been taught thoroughly investigated and nothing was found investigated by who the answer is nobody nobody that's the problem who did it nobody well when he changed his status agent to the final word when Democrats do the same thing Republicans do they get a job at CNN the Republican goes to jail yeah it it's their systems of justice in this country plied one for Republicans and one for Democrats yes that share but what we have seen the face of terror in a up close may I make a brief comment about mayor Pete you have one minute because we're gonna take a break hatch enough I believe that although he seems pretty smart he's not smart enough to understand that if he were to become president some other extended consequences would come to visit this country and a horrible way the the people in the Middle East the radical extremist consider us infidels what what they do in attacking this country FOR leader was a kind of people they throw off of buildings and stoned to death I thank you for your call say this that every religious text says in a religious context that homosexuality is wrong within a civil context I believe separation of church and state as I've said before I'll say it again bill Cunningham the great American would vote for a gay conservative and a heart beat over a liberal family man I would do it like a John Kerry but the I think it as I've said before and I'll say it again in October the forces of evil do not want four more years of trump and they know the main reason he will be reelected as a burgeoning strong economy it would take a lot of the communist red Chinese or the Russians or the Irani or others to make sure to do something to row in the American economy on the eve of the election so trump does not win and one of the killer bees get in that they can manipulate you can't I cannot conceive of Bernie booted judge sitting opposite the prime minister of the leader of North Korea communist red China Vladimir Putin imagine potent "Because you remind me of. We're waiting on Brad. Garret from ABC news. Wow. Leland Conway, wait on anybody. Actually. So we're rolling on NewsRadio. Eight forty W H A SIM, Leland Conway, by the way. I was going to talk about this Adam eveland story yesterday where he wants to ban smoking statewide indoors, which I think is a frivolous and silly law because most businesses already banned smoking indoors. And I don't understand why with all the problems that we have in Kentucky. I like I like Adamy lending. He's a good, dude. But why are you gotta attack smokers? I mean, they're getting less and less nobody. Everybody knows smoking's bad for you causes cancer. It's a nasty habit. It stinks smelly. But the vast majority of local municipalities already have smoking bans. And I don't know very many businesses that allowed there are some. And if they do fine their it's their choice. But I don't know a lot of businesses that allow people to smoke inside the business. So we'll get into that a little bit later. Brad's actually joining us. Now Brad Garret ABC news. He's a former FBI agent and now a criteria analysts for ABC. I'm not sure we'll agree on everything here. But I think we will agree on this. You know when people are killed in violent acts. We need to address that. And it is happening. Quite a bit in our country, and the Democrats like to call it gun violence. I call it violence. It's perpetrated with guns and baseball, bats knives and all sorts of things, but Brad believes that we can address this issue, and maybe not give up our second amendment rights. So I wanna hear him out. Hey, brad. How are you? Okay. Thanks. So you have got some price tags that have been associated with violence in our country of recent and they're pretty big. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, if you think, you know, let me say current depends on what you wanna live with as far as leaving things as is versus trying to maybe reduce these numbers forty thousand people die a year. Guns now, a bigger chunk of that is from suicide then it is homicide. Over a hundred thousand people are killed slash injured through nineteen different ways accidents fill in the blank. So, you know, and you get into these numbers we wanted about would it costs, you know, two hundred and twenty some odd billion dollars a year. We lose Konami billions of dollars it costs running emergency room successful because of gunshot wounds. Now, you know, the reality is, obviously the people you'll matter what laws or background checks people are still going to shoot each other for different reasons again. But can we help those numbers without you know, impinging on the second. And then then I think the answer is. Yes. So how so how would you go about that? Again, this is where we can find where we can find common ground is. Nobody likes people getting shot. I think everybody. I mean, let's let's start in your house in mind. If you've got young kids, and you've got guns. That's great. But, you know, should they be under the mattress in your bedroom or in the dress dressing beside you bet the answer is, of course, not because you know, I I'm so sick of reading these stories every day have small kids are killing themselves or shooting the neighbor's kid. Yeah, they get their hands on a gun. So I don't know how anybody could argue with that you, and I've always been I've always been in favour to first of all I don't think we need a litany of laws mandating how one stores they're gone, but I have always been in favour of prosecuting people. If I leave my if you if you leave your gun out on the nightstand. And it's loaded and it's out on the nightstand. And your four year old wonders in and kills himself. I think you're liable. You know? I mean, you you left that gun loaded and ready and that kid came in there, and you didn't have it stored in the safe place. I was always taught never first of all never never leave it loaded unless you know, it's particularly for self defense. But there's needs to be a special place for that in a special way of getting a hold of it. Right. Right. So you know, that's one component that could potentially reduce some injuries and deaths. You know, the other thorny issue. And there's more than one is background checks that are required. If you or I go to a gun dealer and Kentucky or any place else. He or she is required. They contact the state police to make sure we're not convicted felons were not illegal immigrants that were not been adjudicated by a cord is being mentally ill. And you know, that's all well and good, but you can get around that obviously with private sales, or it depends on the state, I suppose gun shows. So the question is is it reasonable, quote unquote to ask people to check that block in exchanging selling guns other than to a gun dealer. My understanding is that if I know somebody like my suit, my producer, super, Dave. This is my understanding if if I know super Dave, and I know that he's a upstanding guy. And you know, he he doesn't have malice in his heart that that exchange that doesn't necessarily need to be regulated by the government. But if I say, hey, guys, I've got a I've got a an old twenty two for sale anybody want it and somebody comes up. I don't know them. My understanding is that's already a legal. I can't just go out there and say, hey, I have this gun for sale. Anybody want to buy it? Okay. So how would that affect your bills because sell or give again the super game? If in fact, he had to make one check a computerized check to see because you don't know everything about two days just to meet your that block is check. That's that's all I'm suggesting that you think that's too much of an intrusion is that. Yeah. If I if I know the person if it's my if it's my dear friend, or if it's my wife, take my wife down to a gun store to get a background check on her. I know her background fan. Mean I find that here. Here's what I would say about that. I would be inclined. I would be less inclined to throw up the firewall over that. Then I would be some of the other, quote, unquote, commonsense gun regulations that have been put out there. But yeah, I I do think it's a step too far. If I know the person because it's already a crime. If now if I know the person, I know that super Dave is going to buy that gun because he wants to off you know, his neighbor because his neighbor's dog keeps pooping in his yard. Well, then I've committed a crime because I've facilitated him a weapon in order to do that. You would just leave it to the person to decide whether the other person should have a right because I'm a law abiding citizen who has been background checked. And and so I as a law-abiding citizen, I trust law abiding citizens in America, I trust that a law-abiding citizen isn't gonna violate the law and go out and try to sell guns to gangsters. What the you bump that up into gun shows, you have the same logic there. Then it should be up at gun shows are already covered you can't you can't sell a gun at a gun show without a without being right? Licensed firearm dealer, and they conduct background checks on on site. ATF patrols and undercover at gun shows all the time to make sure that's exactly what's happening now out of out of the if I opened the trunk in the parking lot. And I've got an AR fifteen back there. And I'm like, hey, buddy. I'm committed a crime. That's why the ATF is they're they're already looking for that. And they should be. And I agree with that. The other area to potentially look at their number of would be what they call red flag law, which basically allow the police with a court order from a judge to temporarily seize your gun if you were deemed too, violent unstable to have them requires a hearing, you get back once it's team that you're stable again know, the whole wide, I suppose behind that is the biggest logically is to try to reduce gun Souissa. Right. So I don't you know. I again, I don't think that's unreasonable. Clearly, there are people to do. Well. Well, my response to that would be that. We don't lock people up. We don't take away their rights until they've been proven guilty. Why would we do that? You know what I mean? I mean, I understand the case. I don't know. I'm kind of on the fence on that one. Because I do know that there are people that show signs that it's like dude that guy should not have a gun. But I I also concerned about how that let me put it this way. Brad. I would be concerned about how that piece of legislation was structured because some of the states that are doing it like New York are doing it as an excuse to take guns away from people who are not mentally ill, and some places have have used like like, for instance, there was that push on the Knicks fix originally. And I don't know if they actually changed this or not. But the idea was that if if you couldn't manage your own finances, you couldn't have a gun. Well, a lot of a lot of veterans would Mark when they go to the veterans office. You know, they'd Mark. Well, my wife handles financing. Okay. Well, then we're gonna take your guns away that was actually happening. I have a problem with that. So I guess it would be about how that's worded. Right. I would wanna make sure due process is a hundred percent available and I want to make sure it's under very tight circumstances. Does that make sense? It does make sense because you know, at some point if in fact, we care enough to try to to to get down the eighteen thousand people who basically to their head. Do we wanna live with that number? Do we wanna try to reduce that number? I think you realize if they don't have a gun in their hand, they'll jump off a bridge. That's true. But it's not that that takes more planning. The problem. Leland was suicide is most of it is impulsive and impulsive means you've got to get on the nightstand. During the next room or whatever, and you shoot yourself, and there's no like second chance. Now, you you're done. Yeah. But you can you can do that impulsively. You can run out in front of the train. You can run out in front of a car or bus. But I can tell you is states with. Statistically, less firearms and tighter gun laws have fewer gun suicides. So, you know. So I again, I it. But do they have fewer suicides overall? What do they the answer is? Yes, they do have suicides because such a big chunk of suicides are committed with-. Okay. So so anyway, I think neither one of us who disagree trying to get the number of people themselves. Right. Would be good. But you know, there is another issue. And I would I would sum it up this way. Because I think you said something at the outset that I think is is pretty profound. You said what are we willing to accept? And this is probably this is gonna come off as crass, but I am not the boss of other people's lives. And I am willing to accept that tragedy. Occurs. And that crime exists. And that there's no way I will ever get the guns out of the hands of people who are insistent on committing a crime. So I will live in a world that I understand may potentially be slightly less safe. Then no totalitarian state in which I have to give up my rights. So my point is I'm willing to accept quite a lot knowing that I can at least have a sporting chance to defend myself and my family, which is why I come down to the right of the NRA on gun. So, you know, I I agree with congressman Thomas Massie was on with earlier and said if the police can have it in order to respond and protect me than I should have until they get there. So that's where I come down on it. No. But I I respect the differences of opinion. And I think it's good for us to have these conversations because there's people that don't come as far as me on this. There's a lot of people that listen, this conversation said Brad Garret is absolutely right. And he's a hundred percent on spot. So. Right. Right. And and another one hundred per se, he's not on spot at all. And I get all that. And that's why I like Harry conversation because of leash gets people thinking, you know, do you want to I mean, billions of dollars every year just to take care of the people get shot? These are really really big numbers that in effect. We you and I fill in the blank pay for through Medicare and other government subsidies because wanted people don't have insurance. So again, none of these things we're talking about is a fix, right? They're all just potential ideas that may probably would willing to do those reduce certain types of gun violence. Right. Well, I tell you this Brad when I saw the headline..

"Hundred thousand people crossing the border. Every year between San Diego and Brownsville illegally last year. It was five hundred thousand law enforcement ask any law enforcement, Brian that you meet over the next couple of days, and they will tell you. We get one out of five or one out of ten if you take the low number Bryant of one out of five we catch four hundred thousand a year that means a million and a half to two Baltic over that we don't catch. So if you go back with the starter number of ten billion in two thousand and four which was the consensus number, and you add a million and a half every year since then on average, you get to that number now when I put out that number Brian the mainstream media outside of Foxton believe it we'll guess what the habit in two thousand eighteen in September. You had MIT put out a report, and they said the same thing they had a low of seventeen billion to a high of thirty three million that are here illegally because you can't you don't know the exact number because you don't know you don't catch. So it's not eleven million bright it's somewhere between low twenty s and low thirties and increasing every year. Every year. Second thing last year, as I mentioned, we apprehended five hundred thousand people crossing the border between San Diego Brownsville about three hundred thousand of those came through Texas, and that's between mainly in the Rio Grande valley down the gallon of that area, Patillo Laredo. And that's where we need the wall. That's where we need the fencing. It works El Paso, while the safest city in the country. They've had fencing mcallen itself. Pre say they have fencing around it. But we have hundreds of miles. We don't need a fence. And the president has has said this. We don't need a fence over twelve hundred miles of Texas border. But we do need it in a, you know, probably about three hundred miles of it in key big city areas where most people cross it. So it's real issue criminals drugs. We apprehended a ninety four pounds our state police ninety four pounds of fat and all last year, you break that down Brian into twenty one million doses. So humanitarian crisis people shouldn't have to die to come to America. They have a tax. Consequently talks about one out of five kids in Texas. Now, he's not proficient in English in school. That's a million kids 'cause we have five million in Texas in schools. Healthcare system, welfare system food stamps, all that issue causing our country billion. So that's right. It's a it's a multi-faceted problem. And it is a problem, and it's not manufacturing side of the campaign promises to reality. And the reason why resonated because it's a real issue. So so far these are the numbers we got from a CB P they say over the last few months just in in February of nineteen to date. It looks like there's a dramatic increase in the number of large groups of a hundred illegal aliens or more being apprehended that southern border with him on the ones that don't. I'm talking about Paso, Rio Grande valley, Tucson and the Yuma sections. So so far smugglers, and traffickers have delivered fifty three large groups, totaling eight thousand seven hundred and ninety seven illegals. Have you just used normal math? You know, a percentage of them are criminals up to no good. Absolutely. And and we have the facts here from from.

"Six hundred thousand people still don't have insurance. Don't medicaid. Now, he doesn't tell us who these six hundred thousand people are I suspect many of them are illegal aliens that is people who are here. Aren't supposed to be here. How many American citizens or natural born American citizens in New York City? Don't have healthcare with Medicaid. I don't get this. I don't even get the argument. Go ahead. A fix that. For a very simple reason, we believe healthcare is a human right? This is very interesting healthcare is a human right. And I have to dress. This all the time. If is a human right, ladies and gentlemen. Let me ask you if he's series of questions. Then why is the Veterans Administration some of their hospitals, not all of them? Why are they so lousy the government runs them? How about these public hospitals subsidized by the taxpayers New York City? Where the mayor has some involvement. Can anybody just go in anytime and demand to see a doctor immediately? Can they demand? Whatever medicine they want can they demand whatever whatever medical products, they need whenever they want. I mean after all it's a right. Can I demand to see whatever doctor? They want to see. I mean, it's a right. And they demand that the nurse. Stay pastor. What does this mean? It's a human right. What does that mean? Does that mean that other human beings are indentured servants to the person who comes in the door for whom it's a human, right? It's a human right. Liberty is a human right. The right to acquire property is a human, right? The right to be unmolested by your government is a human right? The right to equal Justice is a human right? The right to material things is not a human, right? Period. Moreover. If a was a human, right? The worst way. To provide that human right is through government centralized government left wing run government. Look around the world. Go ahead. Now, we want people to get it. Right. All over the country. So we need to say, yes. To Medicare for all in Washington. We need to say, yes. To single payer in Albany. Medicare for all all you seniors on Medicare. That means you'll never see Medicare again. This is just semantics name they slap onto what they do. It's like the communists call themselves. Reformers, no, they're not the killers. So let me use the language of the left. But I don't think you can negotiate himself out of a paper bag. Now, we could sit here and blame we only deal with outcome here. And the outcome is eight hundred thousand people are not going to get the paycheck this weekend. And still nothing done. The president has announced they will as of right this second.
