"I have no problem with the official review they're going to get this thing right let's get it right but this defense for Wisconsin when they need to step up after a huge pass play that they gave up her sword company further review the ruling on the field this confirm the runner was well you see Erik Morales got his helmet off his lip is bloody big smile on his face that's the type of game this is we've got blood coming out your mouth for these defenders here for Wisconsin so they don't get the two point conversion Wisconsin linking to only twenty four D. two three twelve to go both teams two timeouts remaining yeah what is turned into a whale of a game and now the question your defense is not been able to stop the war John Taylor got a hundred ninety eight yards on the ground which two timeouts left you pick it deep forty try the onside kick the bad news is they get onside kick they got ten fifteen yards with the ball I think you have to onside kick with the whole game Wisconsin the control the clock control the ground game it is for the ground we get a terrific the Syriac approaches he put this one in the air to kick the deep end over end yeah that goes into the end zone bounces through and so was consul bring it out to the twenty five yard line with three twelve to go up by too quickly back to New York just as our case about five and a half minutes left in Alabama Ellis use lead is thirty nine thirty for the Crimson Tide just into the end zone like the law hi John so that one is not done even though it looks like it was before the jury duty touchdown reception there to get them within five this one at the start of the fourth.
NFL Week 8 Monday Night Football Betting Picks: Miami Dolphins at Pittsburgh Steelers
"Welcome in to the the board podcast powered by Fox bet week eight Monday night football edition dolphins steelers y'all are pretty excited for which would be a barn burner of a football game I'm your host firm joined by my colleague coast the one the only pain insider lots of enthusiasm I'm trying pain I'm not a premature whistle blower like we saw in Nashville but I still haven't positive mindsets get this thing going believe it you can achieve it and it wasn't the results were looking for either the college or professional football rain six but we persevere we continue to plow ahead and no we have a long season left in front of us so as we do every Monday we'll start the good the bad and the ugly we of course Dr Chow waiting in the wings to break down what the JJ watt injury means for the Houston Texans and he'll update us and some of our favorite quarterbacks the pain. Let's go glass half full what did you see this weekend that had you excited and brimming with optimism where do we start so much Scott the forty niners because I always leave things are more impressive when prior to the game it's not supposed to look that way so we a significant professional money come in on Carolina so it makes the win even more impressive to me personally because I just feel like they exceeded expectation and I managed and I think we both did here right to avoid this game now we dead value is certainly on Carolina like numbers wise right when you look at the number got six six and a half earlier in the week like Mason Rudolph was catching that same number in his first start ever on the road so value is I get it but I think we talked Thursday which is like a horrific matchup right Carolina doesn't have left tackle Bosa continues to like full-blown just eat out there I think he's got the highest pressure rate he's on pace to set the highest pressure rate for any rookie in NFL history right now kyle kind of talked about this the one above it average pass defense he played he struggled against earlier in the season which was Jacksonville the forty niners would obviously be even tougher than that he was the most inaccurate quarterback in terms of completion percentage expectation of sixteen percent below expectations the worst so far this week and we saw that at there wasn't very good can't stop the run we talked about that Cohen Short once he went out for the season and there was a big check mark there offensively from what I'm what I'm seeing from the forty niners is is Kyle Shanahan is just ahead of his time with what he's doing even though it's very basic right it's I think he's in this concerts jokingly kind of the real inventor of the exotic smashmouth right the ball is just like spread around there's all these interchangeable parts wide receivers are getting handoffs but like at its core it's very simple offense and I think the scary part here todd is like you look or seven and no right now in the NFC but they're without their left tackle there without the right tackle there without their versatile full-back call us check and I think I could wrong about this and it's probably not worth the money was paid but I feel like Jimmy G. has another gear that we haven't seen yet either which makes this forty-nine seem really scary well and I think some of that's got to be by design if you're Kyle Shanahan why reveal all your cards when you don't have to right now and then there's no doubt that Jimmy G. High profile passing attack is somewhere there I imagine as they can can you to build chemistry with Emmanuel Sanders able to get into the end zone and his forty niners debut it makes his team even scarier and I know pain we don't talk a lot about futures here because guys don't have access turn prices and you Never WanNa do hyperbole but right now when you look at the NFC or the forty niners the team to beat the more complete package outside of experience levels than the New Orleans saints tough to you obviously love with the saints are doing especially defensively that front seven has really taken another step I do feel like whoever gets home field advantage because the saints home field advantage so massive you'd give the you'd leaned that way with ever team had home field advantage certainly the games get a little bit tougher here in the next few weeks off for the forty niners so we'll see what they're made of but man ah X. still kind of leaned saints especially if they were the team that got home field advantage going to be interesting NFC playoff picture definitely a number of teams on their best day more than capable of putting up crooked numbers and more importantly getting stops on the defensive side but aside from the forty niners pain or are there any other teams and our individual performances that really stood out to you Daniel Jones right if you're a giants fan you have to pretty encouraged in whether you could've met seventeen or six I mean that's it's kind of a relevant at this point you know and I liked I saw accuracy wise again delivered a completion percentage five and a half percent greater than expectations four touchdowns no picks and I think that that last part there with the no picks is really impressive when you look at how aggressive he was six most aggressive quarterback in week eight so far obviously two games tonight but of all the quarterbacks that have played so far six most aggressive and the other thing is when you look at how he's doing it right now in general young quarterback he's been pressured a shit ton right forty six percent of its drawbacks pressured on the season most in the NFL among qualifying quarterbacks and he's this young young he hasn't flinched yet so I I really like I think you have to be happy for your giants fan of what the future could be with Daniel Jones so fantastic performance although in a loss did did get back door there so I know a lot of giants backers were happy that was the sharp side again closed five and a half some places so Daniel Jones got the pros money and look good again that he did one ill advised throw cost him dearly early in the game came back up the fumble yeah it was the fumble that probably could have gone I mean you it's a turnover no matter how you slice it but interception fumble just not sure he's doing it to throw but for anybody to watch that game was interesting there was a bad penalty at the tail end of the first half where the giants allegedly rough the ultimate leads the three for the lions and changed the dynamic a little bit in that context wonder if the giants would have actually had a chance to win that game outright if things had played differently but for alliance do nothing but bad luck I guess they wrote a break or two in that extra appointments made things a little wonky to some of the decision making it the nail to me how to chase a two and it's one of those things where you just start chasing points and you open that Pandora's box and if you don't convert things continue to create that downward spiral but a good performance from Daniel Jones you mentioned his second career game over three hundred yards four touchdowns then a nice job against a depleted lions secondary with the good I want to add one other into it of course it was in a losing effort Mike Evans yet again puts up Gargantuan numbers eleven catches hundred ninety eight yards and two touchdowns but one of those things that I'm not quite sure why the bucks don't look for Evans and crunch time when he was the stat stuffer all game long and the titans apparently had no answer in their secondary starting to get doubled a little bit dried movement of the slot to get them open and got doubled again so you know he had forty four percent of the buccaneers area are gesture die but obviously not enough however no you want to praise him and you probably didn't turn on the game quick enough but he did have the bad drop on the opening drive in the end zone the bucks were forced to settle for three instead of seven I did I did see that drop bring it up I do want to ask you about that when you throw through a little bit of congestion I know Matt Melons in your hands catch the ball all right so I wanted to find out so you your opinion is now well documented around Mike Evans if you're going to be elite God damn elite all right so that that's where I'm going with it was just really annoying game not going to complain right side wrong result and you go into halftime with the two hundred fifteen yards seventy one yard edge you trail that's a problem and then I thought we were gold right you fight your way back you blow you get up six late in the third quarter and then you know you hope officials can do their job good for Devon white by the way rookie did a fantastic job there sniff out fake laid to feel them out it was like a WWF and I believe they're wwe now but I'm old so wwf like a clothesline he just sent the snapper into orbit there in the all clearly comes out its return for a touchdown of course they blow their whistle so you can't you can't review it and it was a turnover on downs anyways because it was fourth down so said of a seven air when bucks up three with under Ford ago we were still down four in the problem is that you know you're not gonna your situation where it's four down territory or not kicking field goal to cover the spread for the good guys chase kicked to feel go forty eight yarder right through the UPRIGHTS two minutes to go get outta dodge with a one point loss single text bruce and eh lepers no team bet the board it's all about covering the number not winning games outraged good guy might have done it now if the good come the bad and this one is tough for me to kind of put down pain because I think they were very good for three quarters but it's the kind of game that you have to win on the road you're at the tail end of it's been a mammoth road trip the Oakland raiders finishing the game against Houston Texans were nearly two yards per play better as far as net is concerned and you look they did give up some penalty yards and everything else they had the football a lot less but they had an excellent chance to win the game on the road they outscored in the fourth quarter and to Shawn Watts and make some let real place to get the Texans the outright victory Deshaun Watson in Hopkins it's like the Russell Wilson Lockwood combination those two geysers like carrying goddamn franchise right now because Bill Brian is just continues to be a mess anyways I hate being singular play guy but you're one and you have a chance to kind of I don't WanNa say ice the game with your offense but certainly go up eight or if you decided to be a savage go for the to to put it up nine and there is a plan like second and six from the Houston twenty four in Gruden calls a run play and you'll lose a yard and now you're backed up to third wall and then you Veasley incomplete there and and you settle for a field goal only go for I love Josh Jacobs but the Texans Defense is superior against the run than it is pass in the Texans secondary isn't link absolute shambles with injuries right and they were down another starter who got injured in the game and as an offense you got tyrone Williams back and Jones who you trade four finally like kind of got into the fold now that he understands the offense after you were healthy as you've been at receiver like virtually all season attack the weakness man put it in the air instead then do that in that one specific drive could've put him up potentially two scores if they'd went for two and you rely on your defense against Watson and you got burn so to me there is some some mismanagement there was some playcalling late in that game as you kind of alluded to but they did blow sure well you mentioned mismanagement pain and it's funny you use such a word choice where do we want to go to Chicago bears and how they handled their performance against the chargers so I didn't watch the game because I couldn't dedicate enough time to it I'm GonNa go back and actually watch today it's one of those games that was really intriguing to me because guys that uh yeah I work with love the charger so much and they with the chargers plus four and a half and plus four I didn't see it so when there's games that's where my guys like adamant that this is the side and I don't see it myself on my I gotTa really pay close attention to this and because I have add I can't do that with like watching games so two one on and watch today but as I'm like tracking the play by play and now that I'm like looking at the data we just download it charges were not decide and we had this debate all week long and you may see something different but the charges were not decide but I'll let you share what you saw from the data I mean I'm just looking at just like two hundred and thirty one total yards of offense in the year two thousand nineteen on the road and you're only getting what would have been like three point two closing number I don it doesn't look like just by all the data that that was the right side

"You look at the. Saxon the turnovers in what they're how they're setting up short field for their offense and I couldn't wait to watch the film because it's like man these guys must be flying around playing good football and they all work in most areas with the run defense is a liability right now they got pushed around the last couple weeks a hundred ninety eight yards on the ground the Vikings had been won the game the Broncos always had one fifty and it was a big gaping holes easy runs but they're getting the turnovers and so they're stopping and they're playing good red zone defense set them but don't break type of attitude please come in yeah Philadelphia with that big often to whine if they will just figure out who the running back's going to be caused by committee right now and they haven't got it all but if they do I think there's opportunities on the ground against the Packers defense it's rated high in most categories except for the run deep no doubt Philadelphia they're still trying to figure things out on the offense of some of the ball coming off a twenty seven twenty four loss to Detroit therefore road games in five weeks they also of course and wins who is doing everything in his power to try to will this team to the finish line yes we got a whole lot of help necessarily yeah he put the team on his back right now he's trying to do a lot he's making plays fight these and some things are so that is causing some mistakes I am but I think he's playing good football he needs some help from the outside to get a house on Jeffrey back tonight that should help we've got much more still to come from Lambeau field we approach kick off between the eagles and the Packers but when we come back Scott Scott Graham joins us from our progressive insurance studios progressive makes it easy to bundle your home and car insurance you're listening to Thursday night.

"The late game and then Thursdays are great schedule and you guys are part of that Friday pretty good schedule on Saturday I should be up there at USC in Fresno state but a great schedule that's actually last game on that Saturday so get to watch all these other ones but I'm sold chomping at the bit for college football right circle stadium is a bucket list thing for me tell people what they're missing if they have not taken in a football game a rice cycles one of the best atmospheres in in in the west for sure in college football I think the stadium in Austin stadium and rise Seckel stadium or the three best venues in the west to watch a college football game meaning the combination of setting and the atmosphere in the in the quality of football you get in there no offense to your your Trojans there can but it's a terrible venue to watch football USC fan bases fair weather yeah it's such a big van you it's it's it's not a great spot the Rose Bowl is a great spot but it's only good when do you plan on new year's day that when UCLA is playing so I I I would tell you get if you get a chance to make that five and a half hour drive up from Las Vegas and find the game maybe when you're Trojans are up here next year maybe when UCLA is here but it's a great venue for football it's intimate it seems about forty six forty seven thousand they're going to do an expansion an ad for five thousand seats and some nice luxury seating in the end zone not going super big but just adding a little bit more in two thousand twenty but it it's a really great venue and they won't play until the second week against northern Illinois and then they play Idaho state their first really big game will be a guest was due in late September yeah I can't wait for that game and there are certain venues now on my wife hails from Wisconsin so I've gone to camp Randall and on up to Lambeau field the following day we do a Saturday Sunday deal couple times and so there are certain venues that I will go to and if I am not a fan of that team I do not want to go to see my team play there on the road because I want to enjoy the environment so I'm going to go up to you to a game but I'm going to make sure that I'm wearing the red and I'm rooting for the Utes there I want to take it in and be part of the home crowd not part of the crowd that the minority there that has no chance to give rise cycles because I've seen that venue and I mean even the huntsman center you call basketball there I love those places I mean they're just great because the fan base is so passionate fish vein is with me no fish is a big UCLA guy on the S. C. guys so you crushed as both but you may great valid points is that yes with all that's to do in southern California that unless it's a night game it as CNSE's right there chomping at the bit inside the top five maybe the Pete Carroll years of late that's about it when you're gonna find ninety two thousand and probably ninety thousand Trojan fans strong but now they have pro football back so S. sees not the only pro team as most people say in LA anymore well I mean UCLA that the disadvantage to I mean at least the Coliseum's right on campus I mean the UCLA fan I mean if you're a student would you go sit in traffic for an hour and forty five Westwood up to Pasadena and at that the disadvantage to when UCLA have been very good in recent years it's a beautiful setting in venue it really isn't yeah I think we probably probably the most I've seen in there for UCLA Utah game has been maybe sixty or sixty five thousand might have been in the new highs aware when they were okay but that that that's that's I mean that's the tough part of it is especially if you want to attract the students there from UCLA to get him up to get up to Pasadena there you go I remember Terry Donahue had some great years fish thing yeah yeah that's what that would cover the Hades football with the late seventies early to mid eighties sustained bill Reilly and that's when I actually became the UCI families right there late seventies early eighties so it was good for me at the time that most these rivalry games name ones like Bedlam and need the eight ball in the iron bowl their play to the end of the season does the fact that the holy war this here's the beginning the season is at a benefit or a detriment to Utah what I mean for I think it's a benefit because like a year for B. Y. you don't really matter they're not a conference state that their plan a breed the killers the top front end and schedule but they played at the end of the year last year most of those rivalry games you talked about the lower conference games in the view of Bedlam series and all those are conference games there's very few you might get like at the Notre Dame maybe for the Florida state that are non conference but most of those rivalry games that are played at the end of the year Ohio state Michigan and those are all conference games you don't be what you want in the same conference anymore no one's in the pac twelve one to depend it a year ago they played at the end of the season they hadn't done that since you tell women pac twelve it was good in theory but not in practice yet both teams are kind of beat up you thought had the pac twelve championship game the next week they were kind of looking ahead the first half of that game be what you took some advantage I like the idea of playing in the first week of the year because you've got the entire offseason the focus on it you get that game it's a big game both fan bases are riled up and they you can kind of push that game aside if you use on focus on your pac twelve season and if you be why you you get on with your business as well everybody's healthy there's no excuses I like the idea of now they haven't done it before but I do like the idea this year there's been a lot of buzz and hype in the offseason about it here in in Salt Lake City so I'm looking forward to the first name is bill Riley the voice of Utah sports bill at a special teams I talked about it something that coach waiting and prices team on a freshman kicker I believe and an Aussie poner which is par for the course for you to tell us about the new kicking game well they don't have a kicker yet it's a competition still they've they've got it UCLA transfer they've got a a walk preferred walked on freshman and a G. C. kit three guys kicking so we don't know yet how waiting hammer said they've all been good in practice but we you know practice practice games game the bonding will be fine band led into former Aussie rules professional football player heat the next in line he had Tommy Hackett may switch now ski this kid can really kicking the good rugby style kicker you toss planning will be fine place kicking is a question mark right now they're just not you know you could kick it well somebody could hit all of his kicks from practice and then they can go shank city in the game they're really not going to know until they get a few kicks under their belts in the regular season return game will be good to Britain club you'll probably return punts what she's back in the a kick return game is so different these days guys just because of the new kick off rules and the touch back out to the twenty five to very few teams trying to return we have got away with the cow waiting aims we can run the numbers and he said I'd rather take it first intended to twenty five and start with good field position but the punt return game with Britain Cup you'll be solid all right so let's go back to the defense because you do lose your top four tacklers to backers into secondary players we know the defense of line back intact but tell us who were going to be looking at that are gonna be instrumental as far as the linebackers in the secondary let's not bury the lead here can it's the best defensive line in college football I disagree with that start right there all right deal on a number of others that have that the best defensive line there eleven deep like he followed through and Bradley and I are both projected on some big boards right now is first round draft choices they roll of deep they roll the big their role of athletic so that defensive line is as getting caught wedding ham who's not a guide for a prone to hyperbole told me in the spring I asked Mrs is the best defense wind group ever had a look at me goes yeah I think it is so he's saying that that says something they're really good now all of your question the backers the chase a it's been pretty Barker both in the NFL right now Francis Bernard to transfer from B. Y. U. he was the third back or a year ago big playmaker he'll leave that core they had many bowing to transfer from Penn state and then the night before camp again many just decided he wanted to retire did not play anymore he was a fifth year guy and so he was done so they'll bump up a kid named Devin Lloyd mark that name guys Devin Lloyd gonna be the next great linebacker if you toss six three two forty out of southern California red shirt sophomore this is kind of his time now they're not real deep it back those are the two guys and a BKC transfer from Ventura college they're really only three deep the secondaries great Keelan Johnson first team all pac twelve one of the best quarters in college football Julian black when he was two time second team all PAC twelve moved from cornerback to safety and then you get javelin gave three was rated by pro football focus the best slot corner in in the pac twelve last year so they'll be good on the back end again as well but if you're gonna look for a question mark on the defense is probably just a little bit of the experience of linebacker there you go bill Riley the voice of the youth so Britain Covey will he be ready for the opener and I know Jaylen Dixon is back as well in late everybody who the other go to guys will be for Tyler Huntley when he's put the ball in the air well brit Britain is in the process he these kind of on a pitch count right now they're not gonna rushing back he's targeting B. Y. U. he's going for practice and everything but the just limiting as wraps come up that knee injury but he's targeting the it's a big game for him he grew up in Provo a mile from the stadium family members play the beat that the game he wants to play in but it's a long season as I mentioned earlier Utah's got some debt you mention Dalin diction he was the best deep red a year ago he had thirty two catches for five hundred ninety eight yards a couple of downs he's really good on the outside you got Curtis geniuses son Solomon Enos who was a four star wide receiver had a good freshman year he'll be back this year on the outside you've got Brian Thompson he only had one catch you you're good Katie was hurt all year long but this is a guy who the coaches of said a year ago and this year is the most physically gifted wide receiver they had at Utah on a long time so keep an eye on him as well stamps in the coup a very good player the Mari Simpkins high school teammate of Pilar Huntley anzac moss also very good football player.

"The saints. Chicago is the best team in football. Chicago is the best team in football, certainly in the NFC if you just look at well how about an offense. How about a defense how about being right? Were they you know on on on the upswing. They they have it all going for him. Now inexperienced. Sure you've got a team. That's in the playoffs at the prior four seasons finished last place in their division and a rookie head coach. You can you can look at all that from one side. But I'm telling you what soda healthy has no chance in this game. Chicago is going to handle them. Chicago has the best point differential of of any team in the in the playoffs this week of in the wildcard round with a with a plus hundred thirty eight point differential and the best defense. They've actually allowed fewer points in Baltimore and everybody talks about Baltimore's defense being so special, and it is it's only allowed two hundred eighty seven points. But Chicago has allowed only two hundred and eighty three they also have their eight home games during the regular season. We're seven and one and six and hours favorite their only loss was that new. New England game when they were an underdog. So this is really a good spot for Chicago because they're not over confident they're playing the defending Super Bowl champions. And they're gonna M C. I was looking at the whole thing. Jordan Howard, obviously the starting running back, but the Tariq Cohen versus Darren sproles. It's like whoever gets loose of those two that was the team. I was going to go with who has the better opportunity to stop one of those guys is the bears on sproles. Or is it the eagles on Cohen? It's interesting the big on Philadelphia through the first three quarters of the season. And they were saying this within the organization is our biggest problem is we're just not tackling and and that was their problem. Well, you're right. Chicago is going to get loose on them there. He's got the better spot to get away from. Nice. So I I know where you are on this. But I'm just gonna ask you one more on the on this whole thing throw out. The fact that Phillies the Super Bowl champs route the fact that Nick foles last year had all that magic that was last year this year. And so you love the bears. Yeah. Yeah. Of course, I'm on record saying I would've traded Nick foles last year before their victory parade because I thought his is stock could not have been any higher then being the MVP of the of the Super Bowl. And now he's done it again this year, you know, they they hung onto him in. And they wouldn't be in the playoffs. If Nick didn't play as well as he did down the stretch of the season. After Carson Wentz went out with the injury, so credit Nick foles. He's played real. Well, I love Chicago in this. Let's go with the Sunday games. Then we'll go over to the Saturday games chargers at the ravens. And as you said we're talking to Brent about this as well. I I know the teams always catch up to a running quarterback. I don't know if it's going to be this year with Lamar Jackson. They got a great defense as well. The day already beat the chargers on the road, minus three and a forty one and a half over under. What do you think? Well, first of all it's not so much that you just say, well, the ravens beat the charges. Somme must be the better team. You have to look at what the factors were coming into that game a couple of Saturdays ago when the ravens did beat the chargers so charges at one ten of the prior eleven games, and they were coming off the win over the Kansas City. Chiefs in Kansas City. It was a very tough spot. Baltimore at the time was challenged by Pittsburgh for the division title and had to have the game. And they got it. They got it when they should have got twenty two to ten as a road underdog. It was a perfect spot for Baltimore and that Saturday night game. Now, we turn it around. And the chargers are the better the two teams they they won two more games during the regular season. Then did the ravens, and the only reason the ravens are hosting this game is because they were playing in the AFC north what you didn't have any team, you know, run away with anything. So you you've got the chargers chase the chiefs all year and ended up with a. With what is their season record is a thirteen and three. And and on the other side, you've got the I'm looking down to make sure I didn't give you wrong information. They were twelve and four there were twelve and four where where the chargers on the season. Well, well Baltimore playing in a weaker division. You know what I'm doing? I'm looking at that point spread records instead of straight up records. So I don't want to give the wrong information there. Yeah. Twelve and four of the regular season. That's it. So two more wins in the regular season. Does it do the chargers were there? The ravens I think they're the better team. And as I've said for most of the season, I think this is Philip rivers here. I just think that it all lines up for the chargers this season. And the fact that they're coming from a wild card is not such a detriment for teams anymore. There's been a number of teams that that has that have gone on and won the SuperBowl coming from the wildcard spot. I think the chargers handled the ravens in this spot. What about the forty one and a half twenty to ten? In you know, in LA in front of no one really because at twenty seven thousand seat stadium. They're going to be playing. They're having holding Philip rivers one hundred ninety eight yards on the on the game. Just doesn't seem like they could do a back to back games. Can you see this being over game? Well, we've got a couple of pretty good defenses Tabet the over. But it's a it's a playoff game. So they they usually kick up the score a little bit. I wouldn't wanna bet the under. I just put it that way. I like that. Yeah. As far as the the Saturday games go Indian Houston, which I guess just moved. It was minus wollen actually when we started the show, it's minus one and a half. Now, these teams of each one on each other's fields, as you know, how much that plays into it. As far as we get. We're getting into the playoffs. Couple of teams that started slow and have obviously been hot Indianapolis wins in the final night on the road to advance in the playoffs. What do you think? Well, this is interesting. These two teams opened the season with a combined one and eight record. Houston was Owen three and Indianapolis one in five and since then they've been twenty one and three. So these two teams really got it together. After bad starts the culture only the third team in NFL history to advance to the playoffs after winning only one game in the first six weeks. But those teams that did advance don't usually go very far after that. The Andrew luck is so tough to go against he's just so good. But I think this is a I think Houston has more postseason experience on their roster. I'm still trying to figure out how this colts defense got so good. Do you know how they got so good John or Kevin because I do I work and I'm thinking this defense over achieves every week because I just didn't think that as good as Andrew luck is I didn't. Think that he was going to be able to outscore what is defense was going to give up and the defense just turned it around that one in five start in great part was because defensive rather got forty two points in the at against the jets in New York before they they went on this role. So it's that defense that you have to look at it the colts it's played. So well, this is probably the toughest game of the week two separate, but I'm gonna take the whole team in Houston in the spot. Yeah. See I I would be on the same page on that one the one in five start you're going this defense sucks. And then the last one last ten games, you're going damn. They're really good. Darius Leonard the rookie is a stud and feel like they they set it as a challenge to go up. Like, hey, let's take all the press. Rob Andrew luck. Let's let them carry us. Let's take the pressure off him. And I feel like they just they answered the bell every week. They do and rookie head coach Frank Reich who now can say that he has one of the greatest season from comebacks by leading the colts to the. The playoffs after one in five starts and also has to his credit the greatest comeback in NFL history by leading the Buffalo Bills to that win over the Houston Oilers in nineteen ninety two when they were down thirty five to three and came back and won the game. So this is this is I have a lot of respect for Frank Reich. And if you remember he got hired as a head coach as a secondary thing. They'd already offered the job to to the kid from New England. And and so Frank, right. Was second choice. Not a bad second choice. He's been great. And finally Seattle at Dallas a two point lime to forty three and a half. Obviously Seattle be Dallas earlier this year. But that was in Seattle twenty four thirteen Seattle is a far different team. Both teams want to obviously run the football. What do you think? Yeah. This is this is I love this game. So here we've got to two games this week fall into categories where one of the teams have never wanted this spot and one is the eagles have never want. So I'm taking the bears. The other one is this one. And that is when a team wins a game on the last day of the regular season. That means nothing it empties their tank, for whatever reason if you remember in nineteen eighty seven Bill wall said the worst loss of his career was when he the forty Niners got upset by the Minnesota Vikings in the first playoff game of eighty seven. And that was a game. We actually ended up pulling Montana and putting in Steve Young which kind of double down on the icy relationship. They had an it because they were both sets great competitors. But why why did the forty Niners lose to the Vikings in that spot? I'll tell you why because they had nothing to play for on the final day of the regular season. And they beat the Los Angeles Rams four. Eighty eight to nothing and for whatever reason the Dallas Cowboys played their first string last year. The last week they they sat down Elliott the running back, but they played that if that Prescott would have been hurt in that game in the fourth quarter in a game that meant nothing. Jason Garrett could have been fired before he got his shower after that game. I have no idea what the Cowboys were thinking or why they played their their first string quarterback for that whole game. But I'll tell you what you don't win after you do that. And Seattle has a lot more playoff experience. Jason Garrett has never won a postseason game and a point spread on the same day. He did win one postseason game against Detroit and beat the spread that and lost the spread that day. And he's lost his last two postseason games, including two years ago to Green Bay when when they were the top seed in the NFC, this is this is Seattle. This is Russell Wilson. This is this Seattle. Oh team is surprised me all year. I did not think they were going to be this good. But they are and they're well coached and I'll take Russell Wilson in this spot. I like Seattle I come a lot. The officer out. I was like oh dang Zeke Elliott only had like forty eight touches in the last two weeks or three weeks. If you take the week off last week, they might give it to them fifty times. And that's that's where I'd be scared. If I was the the Seahawks that means that he's getting the ball. They're running down their throat. Well, we'll see if that happens. I'm on the Seahawks. Yeah. I'm with you. John. Thank you. Latin for you. I think this is I think this is really interesting because like you said both teams are going to try to run it Carson for Seattle and Elliott for for Dallas Seattle hasn't been great either on the road or against the run this year. But I tell you one like you said one thing is experienced to Bobby Wagner is in the middle of that defense. I can imagine that he's probably gonna step things up. And the thing was interesting about that Dallas game last week was when Cole Beasley made that catch through some kind of a scheduling glitch through the strength of schedule that Dallas win moved the forty Niners ahead of the jets in the in the draft order from three to two about that. You think that's what the Cowboys were? Yeah. They were trying to help the Niners out. I mean, even..

"Aggressive certainly state aggressive in the jets would wind up winning forty eight seventeen after that I passed which was a pick six percent darnold throw for one hundred ninety eight yards and a couple of scores successful NFL debut. Thanks for bringing that up. First question. It was you know, obviously, you know, licking my chops a little bit too much. I think on that play. And then right? When I it was one of those were right? When I let it go. I thought I had them and then out of the corner. You know, right. When I released it, I saw the defender and shoot. And then he took it back obviously for a pick six, but after that. It is what it is put behind you. And you know, play the game. So that's really what I did. And you know, I thought our whole team responded. Really? Well, so it was really cool whole team effort, really. Offensively run the ball the way we did defensively. The turnovers is awesome. And then, you know, special teams with Andrea getting all those returns and then. Being able to take them back to the house is pretty sweet. Yeah. Yeah. So on the interception. I was pretty nervous. I'm Michael how do you guys? But after that. You know, put it behind me. I think. You know that after the crowd got really loud after that pick. It was just you know, shoot. And then I'll be okay here we go. You can't get much worse than that. So it was really that that kind of thinking that was going on in my head. And then just play it and knew that we had a good team. We have a really really good team. So I knew that if I just did my job took with the defense gave me gave me that. I was I was going to be able to go out there and. And. You know, look back and have a successful game. Sam darnold pick six on his first career pass. Here's the third quarterback with a pick six on his first career pass in the past thirty years.
