Xbox Series X Preview Round-Up

"Xbox series x hands on previews are up as of this morning. As you all know xbox, they stand out a bunch of xbox series exodus to media professionals They've gotten their hands on they've been playing over the weekend in the last week and they're previews are finally available. So I've assembled basically the avengers of video games writers for this guy got folks from. got. Folks from Gamespot from venture be and I'm going to go through some of the right people have to say some of the things you had to say about xbox series I'm going to start off with Ryan McCaffrey at is and who writes this First, a word on the console itself it is hefty but in a good way when you hold, it feels like premium five, hundred dollar thing for whatever. That's worth when you turn it on the box, the same startup chime the xbox one family of consoles do in a I'm a bit disappointed in that. Honestly I. Get the consistency. It's a sound though it is a nice sound but you want that new you know. You want the news I Will Ryan McCaffrey saying here I get the consistency but I liked new sound while I'm speaking subjectively I think the series x also looks very nice in its article orientation. It looks bold in assertive indoor entertainment centre with the concave green-tinted vent perforations on the top adding a really nice visual appeal. I can't say the same when it's laying on its side, it looks more like a fireplace log. More importantly, this thing is quiet it's almost inaudible when it when it's idol and read debt-reduction to, for instance, is still pretty quiet much more. So than the xbox one X, which gets noticeably louder under full load. Thank God targets me. So soaked that gets me so to especially because this last weekend I've been, I still Greg Miller playstation four pro from the office along with the TV office so I can get that. You Four K. Experience and that thing is loud dude everything sounds like a lawnmower I didn't realize that you my base ps four got loud I. Didn't know that ps four pros got that loud. It's Wild Man I. The thing that I'm most excited about with these new causes coming up is hoping that there's a chance that they're quieter and I love that at least so far it is a good thing to hear. In clear though with The p the PS four pro that he's using the studio he's using that one at the studio because he got loud and he switched it out for one that he had. Okay. So that one is louder than some PS force can be. Four on right now. Yeah. It's my. Rose K. to us oh, is running right now. I love you call your vacuum Uso, your Roomba. That's a really good name for it and actually while we're on this topic like how it looks with Ryan McAfee's right up here folks. No I'm roommates with Michael Higham from gamespot Michael Higham one of the folks who had an xbox series x so I can give the scoop that looks great like vertically it is hefty it does feel it is pretty heavy like it is like a hefty piece of technology mom but anytime I've gone into the living room that thing that has been virtually silent and like yeah, the thing looks like the top with the green accents there looks really nice. I can't imagine that thing on its side because like. Ryan McCaffrey references here. Right. Like on the side. It would look really awkward like that's kind of my take on it. I don't know why anyone would have to have that on the side of Saif Mike space right like I get. In a in a situation where it's like the only have so much room. Height for mine yeah. which is the thing that sucks but it's also this. Thing like I. I'm struggling to think about where I'm going to put mine because I also it's GonNa. Look ridiculous donal but article I just think it's going to stand out and just be weird. So we'll see. Yeah, I'm scared with both this in the PS five I how they look if for people who are GonNa get both because the PS five and all the different. Comparisons. And mockup scene of that thing seems huge. Like seems abnormally big. Like stylish and sleek, and like has a cool feature. Is thing going for it but it seems big and so like trying to figure out how that is going to fit in your entertainment center next to a series x right at least in the same entertainment centre as a series I think it's it's going to be a challenge for some people because those two things are very different designs, very different boxes. Good Luck on that folks,

Another Shortage (MM #3477)

"The Maisonette with Kevin Nation. No, I wouldn't say I'm obsessed with covid-19. But I do pay a lot of attention to things like shortages during covid-19. Now some of them makes sense the cleaning supplies products that had Factory closures during the early part of covid-19 is a new shortage another shortage that I'll be honest with you makes a ton of sense to me and it's relatively new because the kids are going back to school and people are finding out that they're going to be working from home possibly permanently. And that's a shortage of affordable desks desks for school kids and he for people who work from home now, they're a lot of expensive desk fill out there. But who wants to spend six seven eight hundred dollars during a pandemic for a desk, especially for a child, especially if you're not sure if you're going to be working from home forever or not. A lot of kids are having the same problems and they don't necessarily have a lot of space. So people are getting creative because you can't find an inexpensive or even cheap desk online right now. Ikea doesn't have them Walmart doesn't have them. They're just hard to find and getting harder by the day somehow sadly. This doesn't surprise.

Review: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2

Review: Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2

"The Galaxy Z. or Fold to. The Galaxy said full to phone. So you may remember I had last week I had the Microsoft duo which was a dual screen phone. That on Hanjin, the middle unfolded. And, I thought this just the software didn't really use it very well. I loved the idea was beautiful harbour, very thin and light and. And everything but it just it was Kinda Janke I could make it fulltime phone. So I sent it back and I took the money. And then some and apply because this is a two thousand dollar phone this galaxy fold, which means you don't have to worry about it 'cause that's ridiculous. Ridiculous. Four Times more than you need to spend for phone. If you need a new phone, you want Andrew get get the Pixel for a or you know that'd be fine. The Google phone but I'm you know me I'm interested in technology and and what we're technologies going. So I thought well, I should try this. I can always return it. If you know what I don't think I'm returning it's pretty cool. So it is thicker and heavier than a regular phone because it you know it's got it folds. It's like a sandwich, a sandwich with nothing in between. But on the other hand, the F- The unlike the Microsoft phone Microsoft not a they don't want you to think of as one. It has screen when it's folded. So you can see notifications, you can actually use it. It's a little it's thinner than a regular phone would be. So it's kind of you know it's not a it's kind of an odd ball screens, really thin and tall compared to any phone that you might use but still. Totally usable can and you don't look like a silly person making a call. It's just it's Kinda. It's Kinda thin. Kind of kind of kind of a weird aspect ratio, but then it has a fingerprint reader face reader, which is good for these days of masks. But then. Let's say you you. You launch a program or something on the front face when you open up the phone, it goes to the open when it's so big. So big nice and spacious. Now. It's like a little tablet and yeah, it was a little concerned about the folding screening indefinitely see that where the fold is doesn't doesn't disappear completely. But it kind of disappears from your awareness. And I have to say. It seems very well made. I wasn't going to get this because I thought. Oh. This Janki. is going to be silly this can be really Janke. You know it's really fun taking a picture with this big screen is huge. Like a bigger with an IPAD which I've always mocked people for. Taking a picture with an IPAD. So this isn't quite so big boy. It's kind of Nice, because you can really see what's going on. You know the pictures it's really like it's like holding. Like holding a big print in your hand. So you can see what it's GonNa look like when it's printed. And of course, Samsung always made the best screens. These are really gorgeous screens and it has a lot of features that duo left out. It's the fastest. Processor out there for for for android the QUALCOMM snapdragon it's It's got wireless charging. It's not waterproof for does proof as definitely not break proof which should make you nervous because if you drop this two thousand, it's like holding a Faberge egg in your hand. If you drop it, you bought it. You know you know. I I went out and took pictures of the other day and I thought. I better, not drop this. This if this falls out of my hand, that's That's a lot of money. So I I I have to say I'm not going to recommend anybody by this crazy expensive two thousand dollars for a phone. But. And, it's not a much better phone than the four hundred or five hundred dollar phone. It's just that. I was curious about folding screens and now I have to report. I'm pleasantly surprised. Unpleasantly surprised it actually It actually is pretty surprisingly functional and it doesn't feel I thought that folding screens gotTA. Be Weird rights feel plastic ear something. Once you open it up you kind of forget it that it you know that it's a plastic or anything it's just a big screen. It's Kinda Nice to have such a big screen in your pocket. So I'm I'm I'm actually very pleased I might even keep it. I know I know I know. A lot of money and then Someday. Did iphone. Event Invitations. Go Out. No, no nobody. Got Him. Okay I. Often don't get him so I don't know. I can't tell but I don't think they went out which means. Well, it's not going to be this week for the IPHONE twelve events like probably probably not gonna be could be next week. Everybody kind of agrees is going to be in October. So it could be maybe October. What is that six? Week from Tuesday yeah. Or October thirteen week from Tuesday they'll nuts new iphones. What do you think they'll be two thousand no but I bet you be able to get him up there. Close. Yet You know you get the. iphone twelve pro Max. With All the available storage they're offering whatever that is five twelve or to fifty six. I think I think you might get it up to fifteen hundred bucks crazy. But people and these things these phones are not. You know their fragile. Which means you got to buy insurance. So add that to the cost of the really not meant to be used for more than a couple years. So. So I'm thinking. maybe we should just you know think of our phone is a phone stick with that. I'll do the. Do the crazy. Spend for weird stuff just to let you know. I don't think this folding phones going to be cheap ever because I think it's an expensive part I. think that's really the problem.

Why a dedicated Zoom device makes sense

"You'll recall that earlier this week I had a lot of fun with that new Microsoft Eighty, five inch dedicated device for teams meetings. It's only twenty two thousand dollars little much for my budget I. Don't know about you but it's been a week for dedicated video meeting devices after that Microsoft announcement though I gotTa love, Amazon's answer which came later in the week, a dedicated ten inch unit for two hundred, fifty dollars the echo show ten, which lets you go through Alexa to connect to zoom skype or Alexa to Alexa direct calls two hundred and fifty dollars. Twenty two, thousand dollars I think I'll take the cheaper one Alex, thank you. I think these dedicated devices when they're priced, right make a lot of sense i. mean think of the kids were stuck at home taking school on their laptops. Now, they could have one more unit just displaying the teacher and lessons which would give their hands free for schoolwork and no taking on the laptop make sense for those of you who are taking meetings all day. The same issue applies isn't it hard to take notes when your laptop screen is filled with Speaker video windows. Plus this way you wouldn't have to worry Webcam placement after all his best to be at eye level which most people ignore and not have the Webcam looking up your Chin that requires putting the laptop atop of a bunch of books which gives you a better look, but it makes it really hard to type. So the savvy speaker or student would have to constantly move the books around that dedicated service on the desk would solve the issue living atop the. Books that could just stay there and not have to be moved around. So Amazon has the echo show ten, which will be out later this year it'll let you connect the Webcam to the TV via the hundred and twenty dollar fired TB Cube device. So so maybe it won't be watching eighty five inches how about fifty or sixty sounds pretty good p particularly when you consider that you can buy a good fifty inch these days for about three hundred dollars. Now, the Amazon solutions won't be available until later this year. But if you have a facebook portal video chat device, you can use the dedicated unit now to connect to zoom because the update started rolling out today. The portal started one, hundred, twenty, nine dollars, and they're available in three sizes at eight, inch, ten inch or fifteen point, six inch. The addition that connects the TV which is called. Portal. TV is not yet supported for the zoom calls meanwhile, that's not all folks next week on Wednesday Google holds its annual fall hardware product event where it's expected to unveil a new top of the line smartphone and updated streaming device and a new take on the nest home hub video display unit last year's nest. Didn't work with zoom or initially even with Google's meat though it does now but not zoom zooms coming later, and I know I can pretty much rest assured that the new Google video display unit we'll be working with zoom and hopefully working well

Amazon update: An indoor security drone! Round Echos!

"The show. Hey, it's Graham. You're listening to talking tech I, WanNa, fill you in on all those new products that Amazon introduced today, and unlike some of the other companies that come out with some new stuff and you say, like, how's it different? I don't understand. Well Gosh. Some of the stuff is pretty radical. Let's start with the ECHO speaker, which is now all-round. It looks totally different. There's a three new ones and they're all in the shape of the ball. You all know the ring video doorbell. Now there's GonNa be a ring security camera in your car. It's going to cost two hundred dollars. It will send you alerts via the ring APP. It senses a tempted break-ins drivers can get alive you and check in on the vehicle and surrounding areas. There's also a cheaper version without a camera selling for sixty dollars that will monitor for impacts, break INS, toes, and more but the ring product that I'm really intrigued about is called the always home cam it's an indoor drone. It flies all over the house to see what's going on. Okay Great I've flown a drone inside the house in it ain't easy. This drones GONNA fly automatically without. Presumably a controller it's going to sell for two hundred, fifty dollars. I can't wait to see how this one works. I am extremely sceptical, but if they pull it off great. All. The new ring products coming in twenty twenty one. Okay. Keeping with the radical there's a new echo show echo show of course, is the ECHO unit with a video display. This year is the ECHO show ten. You will come out later this year and it rotates it's on a rotating base as you use it for video calls, it will rotate with you as you move around the room that sounds kind of fun or it

Market Update with Alex Saunders, Nuggets News

"We just recently had bitcoin cross twelve, thousand dollars it ran up you know to to grand over the course of a weekend pretty much. While big money was asleep in, you know out on their yachts. And then it came crashing back fourteen hundred dollars in five minutes who's responsible for these kinds of moves behind the scenes you've been around forever. Can you give us any kind of insight into why bitcoin can be you know more exciting than ever pay pals on board US banks have been cleared to get on board why would there be a fourteen hundred dollar price crash in five minutes? So. As you say up in which the charts like daily, since two, thousand, twelve and. Becomes always been volatile because it it's hard to like get specific value and it's always despite some sentiment narratives. But now we've got these hundred x leverage which dominates trading in markets in volume and a lot of other things are getting their prospect. David from from mix in the lock. So I really try to particularly begin did not even look at that price m a lot of people always say that and not to worry about it but honestly that number on the screen now that we're getting from these hundred exchanges is just not relative. So if you arrive with negotiating OTC you, as you say, we'd probably be negotiating around eleven thousand dollars somewhere in the middle, but we're not wired about the day-to-day process if I'm going to buy million dollars of becoming a few on the weekend and it feels funny. Way Not rookie out Monday in on paying twenty percent less negotiating on seven I average price or something like that and that's why people really need to think about it because these big wild and try it is that you know the K levels that everybody's watching they know everyone stops even some of the exchanges that had against their own customers or whatever. So they can push the crossed this level of volume in liquidities inner on weekends where we've seen a lot of this stuff. You low time it gets pushed up on the weekend, and then he gets sort of smashed back down by Monday morning and it's just these guys. They can push markets around. So Tokyo don't worry about it too much. Yeah outlets, good advice and I think these derivatives exchanges is probably the biggest difference between this bull run and the last one. In fact, the very end of the two thousand seventeen bull run is when bitcoin was launched on Sami futures and bit. Mex- came to live like the literally the day of that was the top of the market. So with these with the huge money being able to make profit in both directions and manipulate things almost in three. D.. As opposed to two D now is holding dead or is that still going to be a profitable strategy for people that are just trying to get into crypto? Absolutely holding is still the most profitable strategy in Atto Ole as I really think you should just be dollar cost averaging into to join the May I'm a huge belaboring Theorem as well, but I guess that's up to you whatever ye locked. But over time these markets growing to an enormous market cap and when you zoom out, it's almost slightly SOCK on as low shots that we look at because of the exponential growth and people just. Tied down in the Diet a diet. All should aboard here or crippled he. Never, GonNa beat the bottom never gonna peak the top and you're getting get shaken outy few wiles. Enjoy the ride, use it to your advantage. You know set some low beads exchange, review the computer. When we have these thousand crash, you know just by a little bit extra from adult cost averaging stack because over time the wires cannot manipulate the process. It's it's going up into the rot as long as we continue to grow, which is going to grow into the trillions of dollars among cap for Bitcoin for these other leading particles. So use that. To your advantage Derby August football, even nowadays fustrating. one-sided caught a thought that we've got to leverage bitcoin people. I'm going to speculate outside D two, thousand, seventeen. That's something that was seeking is GonNa play out but then we saw excited like FDA at high leverage on these outs. So it was like a guy will allow people to. Try to outs on one hundred times leverage will I guess of course, the gravy and you might afford you in Allah and that sort of Chinese and now it's like twenty seventeen on steroids I think he's really going on honestly think that we're about to say all the robinhood tried his diabetes detritus. Most. Countries than we sold, the nasdaq-listed Company mockery strategy put money to bitcoin notes. It's to be I and now wants to be lost. We've seen that now with legendary invest poultry to giants I think we're GONNA say we'd State actors like governments or Central Bank somebody's going to be first and then that he's GonNa, stop the peaceful run lost

NPR Poll: Black, Latino Households Struggle To Pay Rent, Mortgages

"Some new data from an NPR poll suggests just how badly Americans are suffering economically during the pandemic. Here's NPR's Chris Arnold Gina Lost Her job as a school bus driver in Chicago during the pandemic she was managing. Okay with unemployment money. But then about two weeks ago, she got a desperate call from her adult son his job had laid him off. He wasn't able to pay rate. There was an eviction moratorium in Chicago, but Jean says the landlord wanted her son out anyway a warning what happened next is disturbing and violent. She says the landlord got someone to threaten her son and shoot his dog a German shepherd mix that he'd had for years Economi. His mom they kill my dog. And the GATT told me that he should kill me to. MSA. Said market you come over here. I went over there. I said, okay star packing you gather go. and. Never went back. Gene only wants to use her first name for fear retribution. She says, she was afraid to report what happened to the police, her son and his two kids if now moved in with her. Gene was one of more than three thousand people who took part in a poll from NPR the Robert Wood, Johnson? Foundation. And the Harvard T H Chan School of Public Health. Her. Story is a sad and dramatic example. But the poll found many people reported problems with housing healthcare, unsafe workplaces, and a very high percentage of Americans. Forty six percent said they're having serious financial problems are surprises how large the? Numbers are Robert Blend in is a Harvard public health professor. He says, the poll was done in July after Congress approved an extra six hundred dollars a week in federal and apply benefits, and that was still supposed to be flowing to people and yet. So many people said, they were struggling one in six households even reported missing or delaying major bills just so that they could buy food blending says it's. Like the government sent a hundred FEMA trucks into a disaster zone but a lot of people never saw them or got any help it just like interviewing people in a hurricane area and the people are telling you, there's no relief it should be there could be some people are having trouble accessing the HAL blend says the government should quickly try to discover where the biggest problems are and there could be. Another factor. My name is Linda Neuron who and I was an accounting manager dorato lives in Phoenix Arizona and lost her accounting job at a tow truck company in the pandemic. Once that stay home order was issued if our driving, they're not getting a car accidents if they're not getting in car accidents, we don't have much of a business Dorato said in the poll that she was having serious financial problems when. She was getting that extra six hundred dollars a week and so she was doing. Okay. But she knew that that was about to expire and that she wasn't going to be able to support her four kids on the state benefits alone which for her just two hundred, forty dollars a week in Arizona and she was right. She's now burned through almost all of her savings and she won't able to pay reds after next month it's extremely difficult. To sleep at night I wake up at two or three in the morning and I just have my mind's just racing just constantly racing, and then I'm having to get up in the morning and sit with my two younger children but I'm so focused on you know bills and money and jobs Dorato who's Latina says she's been looking for work with no luck. She says she has no family she can go live with or borrow money from. And Black and Latino households were two times more likely than white families to say that they've fallen behind on their rent or mortgage. It is striking. It's not surprising. David Williams is a Harvard professor who studies race and sociology. He says blacks and Latinos make money than whites and have less savings. So they're more vulnerable Andy says they're less likely to have family members who can afford to loan the money for. Rent or other bills for every dollar of wealth white households have African American households have ten pennies and Latino households have twelfth pennies. So it's really not surprising that they are really been hurt badly in the context of the pandemic

What's the best mic for podcasting?

"To, kick off his answer to the Cuny Wednesday question. What is the best Mike for podcasting? WanNa start by saying that I've done a ton of research on this topic. I've done a incredible amount of experimentation We've recorded over sixteen hundred episodes of this podcast and every single time record an episode. We try so many different things to improve the quality of the audio of the sound of the edit to continually be professional and compete with professional podcasts. So I'm not going to geek out on giving you all these different types of microphones you can buy on. Ana, give you the summation of what I've learned over the years. Will you really need to know what I would tell somebody if they're getting started with a podcast? Actually going to start somewhere completely different somewhere. The whole thing to do with microphones because you can have a state of the art microphone that costs five hundred dollars plus but it will do you. No. Good. If you're space is awful if we're you record is not a good space as conducive to recording, it doesn't matter what you're going to use to record for example, very court my podcast with a great quality Mike but There's construction going on there's noises dog barking I'm in a room with high. Ceilings and no installation that record is going to sound straight trash. Okay. It doesn't matter that you have a great Mike because your environment is horrible. Good news is that you can easily manager environment and make sure that wherever you record, it's actually conducive to agree recording. So one of the things I highly recommend is your cord either in a walk in closet or closet, the has shelving the bare minimum have your mic on a shelf in a closet and you record into that shelving into the closet. Because your voice is being projected towards the mayank into the closet, and because the shelving is kind of. Confined like into a box, your voice is not going to be bouncing around a lot across the room. It's going to be confined to the closet. This is sort of creating a makeshift soundproofing or sound booth. This is going sound a whole lot better than you just having your Mike at your desk in a big room. The next level up is to actually record in a sound proofing box. This is an actual Foam box has soundproofing that you place your mic inside. And you place that box into a closet or a shelf, and this really makes everything sound like studio quality. It's incredible and your listeners just using a portable soundproof box that you can buy Amazon it's about two hundred dollars, but it's actually worth more than the actual Mike it's actually going to improve the quality of your audio more than the actual. Mike. Itself I actually. Just. Looked it up on Amazon and the one I was thinking of a travel on, which is two hundred dollars. There's actually an alternative one that is in portable, but it's only thirty six bucks. It's called the choice studio sound recording, vocal booth thirty, six dollars. It's basically a box me out of foam where you can place your mic inside and talk right into it. That is going to make a tremendous difference. Now, let's talk about Mike's There are whole much of mine because I can go through but I'm GonNa give you two mikes. One that I would say is absolutely amazing for the price and you can actually use for all your podcasting with that soundproofing for as long as you like, and the second one is going to be if you insist on buying something expensive, this is the one I recommend. So the first one is the Audio Technica eighteen or twenty, one, hundred, it retails for about one hundred bucks on Amazon it's a be an xl are Mike, which is great. That means if it's used. To your computer and record using your recording software right on your computer or they're using quicktime or Daswani, or garage band or whatever using record your audio. Now I mentioned ex- LAR-. It also does acceler excellent actual cable that needs to go into a sound or quarter like a Zumra quarter if you don't own talking about then this is kind of technical and you may want to Google that but if you're interested in recording on your Laptop than you have to get a Mike, this be compatible which is this one, the audio tape, a tr twenty, one, hundred. This is why I think is one of the best Mike's you can buy period for podcasting for a webinars for calls. It's fantastic. It's really really an amazing quality Mike. It's on intellectual mish means that when you speak into the mic picks up your voice and it does its best of not picking up. Anything that's around in the room. So even if somebody's shouting across the hallway, if you're in a different room, it won't pick up

Well, just like the used phone market, there's now a cottage industry for used watches. You can probably pick up about forty percent of the retail price. If you go to a bunch of sites, I'm here to tell you all about them today trade more in declutter offer about some of the best pricing that I've seen for instance. Last year's Apple Watch, which originally sold for four hundred dollars with a forty millimeter watch face or five hundred dollars or five hundred dollars. If you added the cellular connectivity, I see prices about two hundred dollars for the top of the line while trade more will give you even more like to fourteen. Now, a lot of people bought the series three watch because it's cheaper originally sold for forty dollars and as of last year got lower down to two hundred bucks. So you can you'll be lucky to get seventy five to a one hundred dollars for it. What about the Samsung? Watches while the new one sells for three, sixty, nine, the game watch three Samsung itself will give you one hundred sixteen dollars off as a trade in with a trait in of on galaxy phones tablet or a previous watch. You won't get as much for the watch on declutter only about fifty bucks. An apple will also give you a trade in they won't give you cash will you trade? They say they'll pay up to about two hundred, forty dollars for the series five or up to one hundred dollars for series three before shipping your watch off to one of these sites. Apple reminds you that you gotta take all the data off how do you do it? Well, there's two ways. One is to open up the watch APP on the phone. Go to the my watch tab tap all watches than the info next the watch and choose unpaid Apple Watch that will wipe it an easier way to do. It might be just do it on the watch itself by clicking settings general reset, erase all content and

Talking Apple's announcements with Phandroid, Nick Gray

"I get the irony of having the editor in chief of Android come on to talk about the apple event. Hey I watched it and let's do this. Okay. I'm not an apple fan boy I can still appreciate good products right? Same same. I used to work in android authority and every time every time I put out a even the slightest thing about an iphone thought that I was a traitor and I was like guys like. I'm allowed to carry more than one phone at any time. So here's the thing. First of all got to give the UPS to help apple. Granted, they have the backing of their partners like Pixar, for example, to make what is a very good looking presentation as far as the quarantine level. Kovin affected trade shows and events and tech shows are concerned I. You know you could. You could expect apple to put put on a good show. It was pretty good granted like with any apple event I kind of not really does off but obviously, like eventually they get into the weeds with their products and you just kind of like okay. Cool. You're you're updating all the IPADS. Dating. All of the Appalachians and whatnot but the whole fact that an iphone twelve was not part of this were you surprised I know people were people were not I was not surprised based off of they set in their last earnings call that the IPHONE would not be coming until. October. So I'll look I mean they they clearly said it wasn't coming and a lot of people seem to have missed that or forgot that Nah and they didn't even they even sent out a reminder once once the event was announced. That no he said the IPHONES. Not Coming till October. and so a lot of people kinda miss that and so that was the speculation of what are they going to announce for a lot of people because some people knew that they weren't announcing the new iphone. So when they sent out the invitation with that weird, it was the apple logo but. Yeah like circling and Tom Whatever I mean. We were speculating that a new apple watch was going to be coming and likely some IPAD information So yeah, I mean that's basically it will. We got the new IPADS and. The. New Apple Watch is because now we have what is the series six is the new one and then the Apple Watch s e. so just like the iphone se we have an apple watch se which is A. I don't WanNa say dumbed down version of the watch because. It's still an incredible piece of Gadgetry but it doesn't have some of the sensors that the main watch has making it useful for somebody who's wanting an apple watch for all of the health and fitness benefits that you can track with the device, but it's probably something more geared towards. A cheaper watch for you know your kids are family members who may not be into fitness tracking you know I would even argue like I agree with you there, but I would even add on top of that. When you put the letters s e on anything apple. I get interested. Like I'll just speak from personal experience because like. If I were to choose if I have no other like knowing that I have other things like my own cameras and my own gaming consoles and stuff like that. If my smartphone was not the center of my universe, then something like a pixel for a which literally I you and and or an iphone se those were the perfect choices for me like I'm actually into. dumbing not dumbing down, you said dumbing down but like slimming my smartphone experience for a better price and they're doing it with smart watches and your Indiapol- ecosystem. I'm actually kind of impressed. Yeah. It is a very, very impressive device and it comes with and Lt version as well which pairs with their new family, what they call it the family sink plan now. Now, you do not need to have it's not a one to one match between a a watch and a smartphone you can connect multiple watches to a single smartphone. So that, you can get on Apple Watch for your children. And also your aging parents so that you can have location tracking and communications with them and fall detection and accident detection. Features built in and pair that with a single device rather than having to have multiple iphones in order to pair that with which makes the Apple Watch. Probably, the first gadget that most parents are going to buy for their children that are not smartphone age ready yet. Yeah. Indeed, and because there's this huge marquette of children friendly watches that are connected that they can make phone calls that they came message their parents or a select small group of people and individuals, and most of those costs. One, hundred, ninety, nine to three, hundred dollars, and all of them have to be paired with a ten dollars a month service plan through your carrier. And just to be clear, the pairing of these devices must be paired with the L. T. E. or this the connected version not just the WIFI version. Yeah, Mindy. So you do have that little bit extra and you do have that monthly subscription that you're gonNA have to pony up for yeah,

Staying Confident In The Airplane

"And what I want to address this podcast and I'm hearing a lot of things like Jason I, got my private a year ago I flew pretty regularly for a few months but you know life. And just not flying as much as I wanted to, and I'm starting to lose that confidence I. Don't feel like I wanNA, take my kids up or my wife because I don't feel confident if something happens up there that I can deal with it or at least deal with it is sharply as I did the day after my check reading. So I've gotten a few versions of that story and I WANNA talk to you about how you can do this how you can stay proficient and you can stay confident and you don't have to spend a fortune to do it and I think there are three main points that I wanna make in small tweaks you might have to make to your flying. But the first one is in, you know how close this is to my how hard the standardization the idea that you can ritualized you're flying. And then remember like rehearse remember and perform the ritual of flying and so all you really have to remember is that ritual and what the ritual is designed to do is to weed out the possibility of thousands of other smaller mistakes from happening I'm great example there is the final walk around on a preflight, right. If you just remember to do the final walk around on a preflight, you might catch tomorrow on the nose wheel cinderblocks blocks on the tail Pito Tube cover. Fuel caps left off seatbelts hanging out of the door baggage compartment opened I mean I, you go on and on and on with the things that you might catch. Simply. By remembering to walk around the airplane after the preflight. Okay and that goes deep. If you want a very detailed version of all of the soap's the standard operating procedures that I teach, those are all in my book setting the standard. But that is one concept that will add huge beer flying. This is an I didn't make this operate. This is the way the professional pilots do it because they've got money in the game they've got a business, they have to take care of one of their pilots crashes. It can't be game over right not only that as you've heard me say the company's survived the accident typically. So the company has a chance to evolve develop a procedure that will prevent the. Pie The from any other pilots for making the same mistakes and they can force compliance with that procedure. That's huge. That's the whole process, and if you can get yourself to do that, you are miles ahead of the game. All right. That's one thing we'd like to ritualized the flying, and the second thing is getting rid of this idea that you go back every two years for what they used to call a biennial flight review or a flight review that is not. Enough that is not regularly. You're not going to regularly enough if you're going back every two years and the pros know this to right how often do the pros go back? I heard you say it every six months, right. So if you're a professional pilot, every six months, you go back with your instructor. Back to the training environment and you go through the ringer right you practice all of the emergency procedures, all of those things that you might need if someday. You're you're in a situation where you have an incident? You've got your family on board right and all of this training inspires confidence. So this is the feeling of confidence in the airplane comes from doing it regularly and feeling confident that you can handle the edge cases if they come up. I'm so what most people do just to kind of get US summarized here three point two when most people do is they get their pilot certificate they here. Okay. I have to get a flare view maybe they go get a new club checkout and then that's it right and then they're out flying with their friends and their kids and their wife and two years ago by nothing boy I better go get a flight review that is not a way to inspire confidence. That is not a way to feel good about what you're doing. In the pros know that. and. So the last thing I'd like to say is this is the part where we get into. This is the third point where we get into the budget. Is that there's been a lot of evidence to suggest that if you just keep your head in the game right back in the day they see if you read flying magazine or you re Flight Training magazine those are still great ideas by the way. But in today's world you've got youtube and you've got APPS late ground school and you've got you know ah so many different ways to stay engaged with aviation. And I always tell students when they come in to train. The typical question is how much is this gonNa cost me I don't. Generally answer that question as a complete daughter a mount I won't say, well, this certificate certificate is GonNa cost you fifteen thousand dollars or twenty thousand dollars. If you really pin me down on it, I will say it will cost you anywhere from fifteen to twenty five, thousand dollars. There's a ten thousand dollar. Window there depending on how prepared you are when you show up for lessons how regularly fly how busy you are all that sort of stuff. But that's not even the important part. The important part is that you really think about flying more like a monthly expense more like a habit. So when a student comes in and says or perspective, Stephen Comes in and says, I'm thinking about flying how much is this gonNa cost me I will usually say how much can you afford each month? Right? Is this something you can. Afford. To put fifteen hundred dollars a month into or is it something you can only afford to five hundred dollars a month into is something you can put an unlimited amount of money anti right I mean I just have no idea where you're coming from but the important part is you're starting to think about it like a habit that you're taking on and you're never gonNA stop. So you have this monthly expense for flying. Now, let's take A. Relatively for flying a relatively modest budget. Let's see we have seven hundred dollars or eight hundred dollars a month that we feel as though we can spend on flying right it doesn't sound like a lot when you consider your CFI's probably one hundred dollars an hour on the airplane while it's running. Over one hundred dollars an hour. So you're out there spending on, let's say, let's just pick numbers. Let's say the airplanes one hundred and fifty dollars an hour and you go out for one point five keep it keep it. You know easy math that's two hundred, twenty, five dollars right? One, fifty plus seventy, five, two, hundred, and twenty, five dollars plus your CFI you're together with your. Maybe. Instead of one point five year together for two hours it's another two hundred dollars. So we're looking at four hundred and seventy five dollars we're looking at. If you do one lesson a month after your certificate, you're spending four hundred and seventy-five bucks. You've left yourself with a budget of about three hundred, fifty dollars maybe a short two hour flight somewhere with your family. But you've flown twice in the month right and that's the way you need to think about the finance part of it think about it as as a monthly expense and try to allocate how much you're spending each month a little bit toward training and

Interview with George Varanakis of The Portrait Masters

"Welcome back to another episode I am your host Frederick Ben Johnson today. Once again on the hot seat, I have my good friend. Mr George Very. You may have heard his name in the industry. He's he's got or had fingers in all corners of the photography industry that didn't come out right but. Just. Men involved with everything photography. If you don't know his name, you probably have been to an event that he's been. Behind. Trains on. All that stuff. So George here talk about. What are we talking about the Porch Masters Live? This is your last greatest you like you just like attempting really hard projects and. Hitting home runs apparently. So this one was obviously. Cova head and we had our original conference which was going to be in Phoenix Arizona September ninth through the twelfth we had to make a big decision and it was okay. Do we just not do anything this year or do we try to do our virtual conference if you will I don't really love the virtual name I was like call it digital conference that's just me but yeah. We made that decision and moved back our dates a little bit. So we are September first of the twenty third three days we've got so much content some amazing content. We're doing things a little bit differently than I think what a lot of lot of the. Virtual trade show conferences. You'll see out there in the photo industry or just overall We went out this a little bit differently in that we prerecorded everything and not like prerecord Webcam or zoom kinda thing we prerecorded like shootouts and we had people at our studio We had people at Peter Hurley Studio in New York shooting, and so we've got these amazing shootout through Canon Sony and pro photo. We've got keynote speakers like a tab of the coffee from her famous Bravo show. She is one of our keynotes and she's just incredible Her brother show was Tabitha takes over. We've got mark seller. WHO's one of the most amazing photographers on the planet. You he's done countless numbers of covers for Cube, fair the role I think he's got he's done over one hundred rolling stone cover so I'm really excited of our lineup and we're GONNA do this in a really fun way. It's GonNa be really fun over the three days that we're doing this. We've got kind of a trade show section. We've got a content section. We're GONNA be giving away a ton of stuff and that sue it Nikki closer will be live here in the studio Kinda just introducing a all the classes sue out was just decided a couple of minutes ago. WHO's GonNa do for closing keynote keynote live so we're so most of it is prerecorded, we will have live host, but the content that's come out of this is off the charts I'm really excited. In you when you say you're talking about sue brice. Right, yes? Yes right. These Subaru you should put it in front of her name. Yeah. you WANNA have you set the stage on just a portrait masters for the folks that may not have heard about the conference? What what so Thank you for inviting me to the last one I was I was there in Arizona. Last. Yeah. It was. It was that's the word. It was a blast. Folks that may not have heard of the conference described what what this sort of you know the the soul of the conference is intended to be win it's real versus now when. Virtual or digital doesn't it seem like that was ten years ago. Does right. It's I feel twenty years older I, know. Like as my hair. So the Portrait Masters Conference, it's really a boutique conference in that we have only we cap it at five hundred people We have only nine speakers, one stage, one room. There's no breakout classes we really tried to simplify it and we wanted to give people inexperienced that they never forget. So we added so many different things to this conference that you won't see at other places. For example, we put shooting days in the. Trade show. So some of which are sponsored can have a couple of shooting base Pro Photo will have a couple of shooting bays and basically, and we do a bunch of our own. So basically, it's a model backdrop lighting and you just go and shoot and people went absolutely crazy fort when we when we launched it at it, really we kind of created like a Disneyland photographers almost where you could go in. You could talk to the vendors you could shoot, you could touch. You could feel kind of the things that we love about trade shows. Right you have that opportunity to to touch feel products but also like you could read a camera camera body from any of the vendors, the camera houses and Kinda go around the show and and shoot the networking part of it, which this is one that suit came up with but a red ribbon for someone that hadn't been there to our conference. Before if you're wearing a red ribbon, it was to show everybody else. Hey, come say hi and their brand new they don't know anybody and it was. Just, it ended up being such an incredible experience for people because you go to a trade show, you thought the Portrait Masters amazing show that you wanted to go to it's it's an expensive ticket it's eighteen hundred dollars, but it includes all your your meals, and some other things that we we do. But for the Red Ribbon, it's just amazing 'cause I've I saw a dozen times people just may be sitting by themselves or walking by themselves and other attendants would go and say, hey, how are you come sit with me and and it was just that networking part that that really kind of came out of it, which is really cool.

PS5 Pre-Orders at Walmart Are Acting a Little Strange

"Biggest news of the week, of course. Everything that's Sony. announced. Yesterday, we finally have price released eight, and then a priori sort of clumsily with live last night and cause mass hysteria nationwide. Playstation five is out November twelfth two days after xbox series. The full version is five hundred dollars. Digital version is four hundred dollars I believe we all got our preorder secured I got a disk version from Amazon. Reason being because I have to play on my special edition Blu rays. Where did everyone else? I know Sam got one from like real need. You got one from Walmart. Target best buy and game stops. Yeah. We we have to kind of outsource extra steps because we capture a lot of game play at work and stuff like that, and so we just need extra systems around. So we we usually do a little bulk order like that, but it'd get a bunch of The digital ones are really hard to get and I think the will want them to. We ran a poll today that said about a thirty percent of people still haven't got the system they wanted to order and a, and a bunch of those people said that they wanted to digital one I thought that was pretty cool but we suspect there's very few out there just. Yeah, the. Data shows us that there's about one percent as many digital editions as there are. One, present. Crazy crazy. This is only based off. We can only see like people that clicked on it and deals links and then bought one, and so there's it's possible that none of our readers in particular with the digital edition. But I, don't think that's the case because because they also they also that in like twenty minutes. So it's this mad rush to appear to the consoles them and the dust had settled. We had sold one hundred times more disk consoles, and so I think that Sony is just making like beyond few of them and this is just my speculation. But like I bet the story is going to emerge as the weeks go on digital edition is like very scarce not very common. The only thing we officially know is that they mentioned or Jim Ryan mentioned in an interview that they were producing more for launch, the PS five, and then they did for the PS four I think that was in response to there was a rumor out there that there would be fewer than there were for the PS four or that there would be production issues. So I think they were trying to just kind of. Pr Their way out of that one. But even even before that Bloomberg report this week Sony itself you know launched its mysterious own direct Priori Program said that orders we're going to be very scarce. People are assuming it's going to be hard to find, and if people are following that, that's still the. Emails about that direct purchase from Sony still like we've Kinda grand through all the retailers that could even have prayers although Justin just got a scoop that targets is put up some more preorder issues now maybe. Somehow watching the show live. Yeah the priorities are such a mess and Sony Sony said like and pre orders open tomorrow, and then Walmart said, no, no preorder is open right now. After Walmart did that then the domino's started to fall a target came online and best buy came online and best buy site. Now, twenty four hours later is still wrecked still can't go to best buy DOT COM like Some of this is some of this is Sony's fault in my opinion for not being more organized and buttoned up on Mike. Here's the date and time for preorder is like everyone just relax. But some of this, also like interest in hype for the PS five is unprecedented like I never seen a console that like as had more prelaunch hype and interest than than the PS five. So I think somebody's retailer websites in downtime and stuff would have happened. No matter what. That's usually the way things go and I'm very curious. What is it for for the xbox series xbox series asked they're going up on September twenty second I believe in the daily gave a time eight am. Did they finally reveal the time Today let's get I. Don't know I. Don't know why at the end of their show yesterday couldn't have said you know good live tomorrow at ten. Right because everybody would have north them well, maybe. Maybe that maybe Walmart so pissed off that they're selling a digital console that they are not going to be able to sell more games for the navy. Editors there. So supply constrained like they're gonNA THEY'RE GONNA sell out in a few minutes. So why like what? What's the jockeying till? I go I like. We want people to ordering from us not our archrival target. It's not like you're going to sell every single PS five you get your hands on. So why make it this big fire drill?

How Arsha Jones Started An ECommerce Empire with Less Than $100

"Guys welcome back to the show. This is Michaela and I am so excited to introduce you to today's guest. Today's guest in the hot seat is our show Jones and our show. Hey, our show. Thanks for coming on the show you guys are. One of the people who I've learned the most from this year. Yes. I'm a part of your facebook group as you know. So is a serial entrepreneur and master of many trades. As we speak she's currently operating and managing capital CITCO keeping us all fly through the tease in the trap brand building Iowa's APPs for APPs by the pound all while running the designed blog and facebook group rant bill. So so on this episode, you'll learn how arshile created her first online business with less than a hundred dollars and is now an ECOMMERCE extraordinaire. The welcome to the show our show. Tell us. Tell us more about who you are and what you're currently working on. So. My name name, the journals like you said just. As hard to kind of Embrace that term entrepreneur. You know I put it in bio because it's the easiest. Thing that people can understand without you. Know me having to explain any further but I just you know part of me just doesn't feel like one I'm just a more of a creative. Think of these great ideas and I say how are bring this to light you know so I don't think of me. Oh. I want to create all these businesses I think while that'd be a great product that I could sell, and then it usually turns into something else So each thing that I've started historic off one thing and kind of morphed into something bigger you know. But definitely on my plane is just to be a creative lead who has the ability to see ideas before they're made and know that they be profitable and be fine. You know 'cause this for me it's like. The money is you know but I enjoy the process of it. It's fun to me. To see these things come to live come to life rather and so So that's GONNA. Margot here is you know entrepreneurship is kind of the side It's kind of the five part that happens along with being creative but I just a maker at heart maker. If, I didn't have this I probably be a crafter or. Someone at home like gluing things to get. Definitely have. Creative. Brain and five and like. You know you remind me of the quote unquote the phrase bias for action like you see that on a lot of people's by like. Like I love meeting people who really epitomized that because when you think of an idea, you're like Oh let me let me so I had this. Thought those product together. But before we get into the business as a little bit where are you from like how? Up Bridges Lewis's creative Well, Wa was born raised in Washington DC and I currently live in Maryland but it was partly because of my parents so. You know like most parents you know their idea of they were coming raised with the idea that she would come trade and I'm going to get a government job or something more steady. You know engineer doctor lawyer or something like that But my father kind of wanted us to go into a different direction in. So he kinda pushed us into the arts. Okay. So from a age I would say like eight or nine I always had eager to draw actively or play an instrument actively So. I played the cello. for about eight years amongst other instruments but kind of my heart was in art. So I kind of chose that as a thing I wanted to do. So I did art all through high school until school and then graduated went to these you in Richmond and gut graduated with a BFA. What I didn't realize was that I, didn't really have a plan for my life. And it wasn't like that in college I was like wait. So I'm supposed to like pain control like has wanNA. Make money. Like never even dawned on me that I'd like need a job I love. And so this is around the time that. kind of the DOT com boom had happened. So I learned fairly easily how to design websites and so that kind of kind of figuring out the creative side always had was able to keep a job based on the web design skills that I saw graduated with a BFA. Like I said. With his huge creative background but my but but my day job was web design So that kind of got me into building websites, understanding design understanding how the Web, works, understanding marketing. Social, media and and all that fun stuff and that led me into blogging. Okay. So then because I would get, I would feel questions about the blogging, hosting in how to set up a website and so I put blog. Okay. I'll put a blog. And I'll get all these affiliate links and click. Well. You know I figured out the system and I was making like a passive income about a thousand dollars a month and I was like, wow okay. If I had this thousand dollars a month bright IF I sell a product than I probably can like take another thousand dollars. and. So And for launched, I ended up launching capital. because. Capital city, we sell a wing sauce called capital city Mumbo sauce, and both of is in A. Wing sauce that we originally created is this assaults that you can get here in Washington, DC, metropolitan area

"One hundred dollars. To get to the war, the fuck! Do they think they are? It's. Like you know like it's hard, because like people just don't understand like tha, declan money means absolutely nothing like he doesn't care. The kid likes to eat sweets. It's like it's different for. Right now you're supposed to make your own. Incheon judges that hundred dollar tooth hundred. After after having quite a few conversations with people there, nobody judging me now. They all feel like assholes so I wanNA know who wants to. Any more. I'm just saying like the. moyle kids. Let's name them facebook all I. Know who is to shame the to shame. Shame missing one thing I think. I've learned with having kids with autism. Is that not everybody has grown up in this world knowing what it's like to have a kid. That's different. It's honestly like I just have to realize that and explain to them. What's going on because when I explain it, then they get it and I'm like I'm hoping them out in the future. Yes, you. Contact with somebody because. I didn't know any of this stuff and I thought you know. Those condos these types of things I want you to bring it to the show. For listeners and stuff, too, because we can educate through a show like this to in a good way and gives perspective. That's why we love hearing you talk about. Family Yeah. It's just like. Like I try really hard not to take offense to some things when people make little like like. kind of underhanded comments and stuff like but I found like evenly. My grandma got never. Part is like eighty three eighty four years old now. and she tried so hard to learn this stuff by by reading articles and things like. And then once I explained to her. She ends going all her girlfriends and trying to like we're them like you know. He does this in this in this, and it's so cute to hear her. Say This because a lot of people's generation. They don't know and you got. You GotTa, Know People's intentions. Unintentionally could say or do something, but they don't mean it. You know what I'm saying because if you don't have enough enough information on it, it's you know Oh and believe me when I get all the information I can see the people that are genuinely feel like such crasher. You know it's like they just didn't get it or understand, but and it should be pretty much everybody because you shouldn't be hanging out with assholes. What I'm saying I'm we? I'm? Like people hang out with people I come in contact with like if they see my kid like at the store, and he's in the Middle Aisle flapping his arms, because he's excited about something, and then he starts stemming off of the straight lines, and they don't get it, and they're like what's wrong with them. Sling nothing. He's excited about the fact that we have cookies in our carton now and now he's seeing all the straight lines from the cart. You know this and. He likes to look at it and he's calm, so lead me on. and. But. You, know it is what it is. You don't always have to find yourself either. No but I feel like when I do at least then another kid i. Feel the because I in hurts like yeah I. Mean it's not. It's not fun or easy. It's just different like I. See some people the. Driving those crazy is when I see people that are just. Like on TV and stuff, the most eft up parents, and like they did nothing right in their kids turn out speaking on time and hitting milestones on time, and everything is just going so great, and it's like here are trying so hard. Trying to do all the right things, and it's just a harder road for us, but I also think that the rewards of them reaching. Way Great. Change anything I'm a firm believer that you guys are their parents for a reason. You know what I'm saying so. Do a job education what you can do in learn perspective. There's also another perspective that's in my opinion, much more valuable, and it's it's a family. Yeah, it's so weird because growing up like you need can ask all. My friends experience I. Never thought I'd have kids. First of all because I, I was always very selfish, very impatient and now. Being in my situation when they see me. I can't believe the same person, but it changes you like you know you have to step up you always. Had, a big heart though you know what I'm saying like you've always been. You've always been a good person. Thanks Charlie you have I'm being here so. I don't be nice a lot. You think about other people in probably put other people ahead. Which is being apparent? That's that's one of the true statements of being a parent is putting them ahead of yourself heading putting them ahead here. Now we're like everything. It kind of other things go by the wayside like my thank God I have such understanding Burns I. I can't call them all time 'cause and then when they start not as you. It kills you inside. This might be the one podcast for doing need fuck and Mister Rogers. Right provide balance slow. We never beat them. We never need them. You just do it. Always we don't do. "Sixty fifty bucks. Go. On dollars product. I hope you hundred dollars. I don't think. So I think it'll be less. Here's the thing. It makes sense for them to make more space on the device. So people can buy more games. It's in Oculus best interest to give us a better deal on the memory. So that we can spend more money on games and less time digging around with store really a question, though, of whether that four hundred dollar price was really really. The thing that loss on how much margin. Yeah. How much margin if at all on that four dollars because this would be a way for they know for the people who want the higher capacity probably have money to spend on it. And we'll see we'll see then berry to it was showed there. It was announced by the way, we're in the quest window now. Could come out at anytime. Anytime any moment, it could be out by the spot guesses on then buried, of course, I party Oculus shooter game that was used to demo touch controllers. It is now that very you'll be out on rift s riff latte form and the mobile platform and this free movement. It's basically quake so having used real final quest. I've only tested like kits and stuff. How do you feel like you could roll around on the floor with that thing on our encouraged to roll on the floor on stuff in demos that we use OC five in the ten bear demo. Yeah. No rolling around what the fun until they roll around. If you could they just don't recommend it with their kits by gunfire games third party. But obviously straight. But it's. You know, what I don't know if the sequels developed by them or not I assume so it's the same Ryan from from a first party other first party exit Vokes exit it folks they worked on quake. So presumably this game will feel a little more like quick death. I played it. It's actually it's I mean when you watch the video you think yourself am I gonna be able to play this game because it's gonna make me sick. 'cause you're jumping off you're not actually jumping in the sense of your character goods higher, but you can run off platforms and fall down to the platform below. I mean, the moral game wouldn't even let you do that they did a fade to black. And like they brought you back up. Once you hit the floor. "Got this nine hundred dollar course, they're going to be like, no way. No, thanks. No how. But if you send it to. A warm traffic, your conversion rates would likely go up so warm traffic would be hey, maybe somebody that came to your site and surfed around a little bit. And they know a little bit about you. Now, you can put a pixel on your site Facebook pixel and that person you can go back and send them an ad. That says, hey, you know, maybe you're insen dog training. Check out this group course, obviously do better copywriting than that. You could also do something like you could look, and maybe you put a video on your Facebook page that was popular you can go and see everyone will you would be able to see it. But you could make a group of people who watched that video and send them an ad through Facebook and said, you know, because you know, that there's somewhat interested in what you're doing or or dog training or whatever. And so that's another sales channel that you can use those are typically the channels that we use. We don't put it on the website. We want this to be something. That captures people who didn't take the big big ticket and sell them a lower big ticket. And so use our Email list that's been segmented. We use ringlets voice or we don't like used ringlets voicemail for others. But you could use ringlets voicemail. You could use retargeting people that came to your site things like that. I would not do a whole lot of cold traffic when you're selling a big ticket item coal traffic is not the way to go cold traffic is the way to go. If you've got a free seminar coming up or twenty dollars attrition seminar or something like that that's better for cold traffic, but for big ticket item. You want people that they're in your universe? You know, they've come in contact with you. They've been to your website. They know who you are. Maybe even like, you maybe even considered you but didn't pull the trigger because he was too expensive or whatever the case might be. So anyways quick recap before I finish. If you were going to sell big ticket. There's five things that I believe you need. Maybe there's more. But there's five that I believe you need number one a signature program. Number two a way to create added value number three exclusivity number four positioning and number five sales channels that you control if you can do those things you can have big ticket. Hopefully that helps hope that makes sense please, go listen to the rest of my episodes. Because like, I.

Now, you can put a pixel on your site a Facebook pixel and that person you can go back and send them an ad. That says, hey, you know, maybe your dog training. Check out this group course, obviously do better copywriting than that. You also do something like you could look, and maybe you put a video on your Facebook page that was popular you can go and see everyone will you would be able to see it. But you could make a group of people who watch that video and send them in ads through Facebook and said, you know, because you know, that there's somewhat interested in what you're doing or or dog training or whatever. And so that's another sales channel that you can use those are typically the channels that we use. We don't put it on the website. We want this to be something that captures people who didn't take the big big ticket and sell them a lower big ticket. And so we use our Email lists. That's been segmented. We use ringlets voice or we don't like I said use ringlets voicemail for others. Stuff, but you could use ringlets voicemail. You could use re targeting people that came to your site things like that. I would not do a whole lot of cold traffic when you're selling a big ticket item coal traffic is not the way to go cold traffic is the way to go. If you've got a free seminar coming up or a twenty dollar nutrition seminar or something like that that's better for cold traffic, but for big ticket item you want people that they're in your universe. You know, they've come in contact with you. They've been to your website. They know who you are. Maybe even like, you maybe even considered you but didn't pull the trigger because it was too expensive or whatever the case might be. Because.

"Has you know five thousand dollars in twenty dollar bill and he wants to trade those in for you know hundred dollar bills well you know in that case they would need to fill out a suspicious activity report especially if that was out of his you know domo practices and if the teller or you know the person i worked there did not do that you know that would be money laundering they'd be convicted of assisting in money locker so changing from one nomination to another is suspicious activity that's interest actually can't also large especially from small to large i have to ask how is that like concealment of anything that's not concerned with anything but it's activity report and that's used as if these things are filled out that's used as evidence against a person obscene herbs obscene is not the right word insane it is but i oh it's also abstain police were watching this i watch them walk into the bank you know they they've been bank about the cameras they get the cameras of the teller deducting the transaction and no report was filled out and it was you know he was caught with drugs then that was yep absolutely absolutely especially if they could you know identify a relationship between them the problem with this is that you can have persons a and person be one is doing something illegal and other person's doing something that's not illegal and you wouldn't have any way to distinguish between the two there's also cash action reports as well where you know if somebody comes in with more than ten thousand dollars in cash they have to fill out a report on that so i imagine again if a teller and you might actually more of these reports that get filed then there are like a crime just like oh of course factor there factors about right it's a database and then the police access that when there's so it's not like you know it's not like.
