"The World Health Organization declares Africa polio-free. By Jeffrey Kluger. Nobody will ever know the identity of the thousands of African children who were not killed or paralyzed by polio this year, they would have been hard to keep track of no matter what because in ordinary times they would've followed thousands last year and thousands the year before and on back in a generations long trail of suffering and death instead, no African children were claimed by polio. This year or last year or the year before it was in two thousand sixteen that the last case of wild circulating polio was reported in Nigeria the final country on the fifty four nation African continent where the disease was endemic and with the required multi year waiting period. But there's no denying the scope of the whol announcement today's victory over the wild poliovirus in the. African region is a testament to what can happen when partners from a variety of sectors join forces to accomplish a major global health goal says John Hueco, general, secretary, and CEO of Rotary International. It is something the world can and should aspire to during these turbulent times. It was Rotary and International Nonprofit Service Organization that kicked off the polio endgame in Nineteen Eighty eight with the launch of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative the GPA. Looking at the kind of amount of effort a love that has got into making this kind of feel as. Much like the core of Queen Anna's. It could is is kind of stock to me. We'll be talking about natural light and eighteenth century things light from with Barry Lyndon, of course, under have any final comments on this. Give scores say is much enjoyed the film in the moment is one. Left me with a source light sense of shrugging. What was about basically as much as you know, there are a lot of performances and things you can take away from this. I I really the last shot Michelle won't give away. But I just felt like as a lot of his films the idea of them. And actually like in retrospect, the idea of them is still more to me than than the overarching like statement or ideal theme of them, like I'm not really sure he's of says a lot with this foam is a really fascinating and funny character study. But yeah, I did leave me a little bit cold. And maybe that's the point. I mean, is is I guess about a film about not happening. And so Hanna you said that you've been with your costs for some time. This is your begins. You say could this be your favorite? No has now not no my favors either. I case I think Dr is probably still my favorite, and then probably the lobster. If this does make it through doesn't it we shall see. But first, let's put our scores on this film. So this is expectation enjoyments in retrospect Hannah Hueco, I as far as the course the ball to me is. I mean, he's one of those directors now where whatever he announces his new project, I'm excited, so. Yeah. Four and four and four, and I've I went to yesterday kind of to refresh in my mind store. Yeah. This is this is really good. Not as we like killing of sacred secretary. But his record is pretty good up to now in this cost was very very tantalizing. "Exactly. The orgy. Yeah. Sweating and that's the worst advertisement for an orgy. I've ever that half. With the governor of California was at a bad dream. Anyway, Republicans make traditional marriage one of the cornerstones of its official platform. And I just think it's the way a lot of Republicans swing nothing makes us want to try something like being told you can't do it. That's why taboos no matter what they are often become turn on's, and that same instinct may also help to explain something if you buy this logic, or this argument may explain part the appeal of the Democrats within the Democratic Party much, what drives political agendas the view that inequality is the source of wide range of social problems regularly seeing the party platform recently made multiple mentions of the need to level the playing field. They all they want to alter the rules to yield equal outcomes. Which is something I find important, but it's not a stretch them to suggest that playing with power differentials, especially in the DSM sitting were men and women might not appear to be on equal footing. And where the lines of sexual consent might not always be explicit is taboo in many democratic circles. The idea of getting tied up and being powerless. Is would very very naughty. For a democrat. I guess. Comes from the longstanding principle of psychology known as reactions which stipulates that when our freedom is threatened. And we're told we can't do something we want to do it even more as every parent on earth. So that's you know, I think there's probably there's probably a lot of truth to that. Plus, I tell you what. I'll leave me out of this. I will just say that if you have a particular interest in something and it's a fantasy sexually. And then you end up with somebody who's like. Yeah. Cool. And you do it twice a week. It's not a fantasy anymore. It's like doing a radio show being a fantasy for me. There's no point. So sure, it's the forbidden fruit. Semi obvious, right? Got you tied up. What am I supposed to do? Now. That's what I would say. Incidentally, I I don't get this. Now, what do I do? Go bowling with my friends, incidentally, about one in ten Republicans in one in ten Democrats report having fantasized about a politician. Wow. It's worth noting that these fantasies sometimes involve reaching across the aisle. When presented with a list of twenty five politicians seventeen percent of Republicans reported fantasizing about a democrat while twenty seven percent of Democrats reported fantasizing about Republicans NATs shows, you something doesn't it? I don't know it doesn't the single most commonly fantasized about politician among both parties was the same. Can you name that politician, male or female female living living female? Yes. Nancy Pelosi Lord, Sarah Palin. Oh, well, come on. Now. Republicans all you did was named the hottest person much quick figured it out. Why don't you tell people who have fantasies about Republicans were much more likely to have Palin fantasies the Democrats following Palin? The most frequently mentioned politicians in Republicans fantasies were John F. Kennedy also attractive and young Bill Clinton. Well, he's willing. You know that now we're back, and he doesn't mind using you know, toys, Nikki Haley Hueco after Palin who was Democrats first choice. Democrats fantasize about Barack Obama show. You can have my number baby. Well, then Michael Bill Clinton, and and Hillary Clinton call me anytime, I find that hard great, Scott and Angela.

"And so I'm excited to see how the democratic primary shakes out this time, and I'm hopeful that we can have some candidates that we're all instead of having a twenty twenty conversation about the worst choice. And I know that that was unfair and I don't want to relitigate that here today. But instead of having that conversation, I would love it if we could say, hey, twenty twenty. We have some real. Options as Americans that will require us to think and use our brains to decide which one we is. I think that would be exciting. Well, before we get to twenty twenty, we're going to talk about twenty eighteen in our main segment of the show and how to feel prepared as a voter walking into the voting booth. But before we do that, we like to end every sorry end before we do that, we like to have a small moment on every Tuesday show to share a moment of gratitude because we think that's an important exercise as Americans because we spend so much time taking in the news and talking about politics and generally being cynical and skeptical about our current politics and government, and definitely the other side. And so we like to take a small moment to express gratitude for something happening in our world and our country and our planet with our party or the other party. I'll go first because best is very sweet and more in depth than month per shell. I'm just grateful for the royals. Y'all. I just love the Royal family. We had a wedding this weekend, which was beautiful. Did you look at the wedding at all breath? I mean, I looked at pictures of Eugenie. Okay, Jeannie is this Fergus daughter for game Prince, Andrew, who ongoing love story. I'm obsessed with the Royal family because they got divorced, but they've lived together for like the last twelve years and there's all this talk that they really want to get remarried, which I think is super sweet with Prince Philip estate in the way. Okay. So I read too much about this, but the point is their daughter got married and she where this beautiful dress. And then she had the back out says, you could still see her scoliosis car shield. This beautiful statements about scars can be beautiful. This show it. You survived. Also her TR was beautiful, led the whole thing. Love the wedding. The Royal wedding brings me a lot of joy. And then this morning we found out that Meghan Markle is pregnant and we're gonna get another Royal baby and up just so happy. So happy out in they have a girl than. Gordon. I'm sorry. I'm just so in it. I just think it's so fun. I'm not saying anybody else needs to care about it. I'm just saying that the Royal family and the weddings I'm invested and it brings me a lot of joy, and I'm very grateful that in our current news environment, the Royal family comes up over in Thomas like, hey, hey, everybody. It's been a tough week. Would you like to look at pretty dresses and think about rural babies? And I would like to respond? Yes, I do. And I'm grateful for you Royal family. Thank you. I am going to take this on the very. We're so complementary. So one of my media, he rose is Sheri Lynch Hueco host the Bob and Sheri show which I have listened to you since I.

"Scott avenue. My interview with founder and CEO of e sports team g to Carlos Rodriguez colonels is a retired mid later known for playing S K gaming coast. Thanks for joining us. Thanks very much. I I love being here. We've been doing this show for over a year. Now, I think you're you're the first east sports specific guests that we've had so for our audience who doesn't fully no Eastport, certainly not as well. As you g to is that the rail Madrid of European sports is that a fair comparison fuel actually sort of comparison to very often. Eastport which is video game competition, we've been here for a long time and people sort of understanding know who's behind DT's sports, and and you know, all the management the players all are known figures within our industry. So. Yeah. People sort of connect us throughout moderate very often, which I don't dislike because that'd be nice. Theory fan. Are you Ronaldo is actually more? Fan even just fan. How did you start? But when did you start playing a how does that happen? Yes. So it's not like from one day to another right? But you know, I was very young. I always competed in traditional sports, I competed in soccer, I played for everybody. Which I have a good story first day doing tests for Madrid which is like the rival of rattle Madrid from back in the days. And the first thing the coach says which nowadays would be impossible to the first thing. He says is who's Robert fan from here and a few Cates razor hand, they can't be smart kids who raised the got kicked taking the test. There you go. There. I realize that I would do everything for success. Not raise my hand the worst ever. I kept playing and I kept it a secret. And that's is a fun little story. You're smart. Yeah. No. That's how it goes. And I was eleven years of age approximately and my dad comes from work. And he's like, you know, I know this game I'm gonna play with my friends, and blah, blah. So it was called half life, which is essentially what corners strike, which is one of the largest sports today turn into and and he said, you know, with your friends we just France for for a few weeks and one day. He had to go to the restroom. I was always watching him play. And he would let me play for like, two minutes or three minutes when he went to the restroom industry minutes. Like, I did really well, apparently, he's friends he was communicated. Did they have any idea? It was you playing. Okay. I thought maybe you okay him. Hey, guys. It's my song. Take it easy. Well, you know, he return, and they say, why don't you go? Do the homework of your son. That was from years ago is like, you know, in my kid neat now he's thirteen and my kid would you be on the video game? And I'm like all right now, you got to do your homework, and then as it progressed how much money can be made in east sports. And I see that. He's pretty good at fort nine like Hueco, it there you go ahead and play buddy. I mean it. It's so nice to see you know, when I was trying to convince my parents do is a good idea. It was a noble. It was just a there's no way was going to be a good idea for them. So you know, it was really slow right right now. It's very easy to in hindsight. Look back and say, yeah, it was a good idea that we let him do that. But he was really tough. You know, you're not used to see video game competition bringing any money to anybody. All you see these people that have travels and problems or whatever we just not the truth really is like MC. And so I think my parents for having kind of that forward thinking attitude, and let me do you know, what my dream ended up becoming an but today. Yeah, you look right now dangerously and just see so much money involved in so much opportunity..
