So that's where i find all those. You know strange links. That i i'm always sending you the wee hours but Was really of them. Yes i was reading one Weeks ago and it just the stuff they were saying was just making me mad because it was like three brewers who got together and said all we heard all of the stuff about me alone being really bitter and there's a difference between hike co he'll alone and loko huby on hops blah blah blah and. So they put together this quote experiment. You can't see my air quotes. "Okay let's have appearance. Let's talk about huby halloween. Which we love starring o. My god everybody. Adam sandler julie bowen really oda kevin james. Whatever june squibb. steve sheni. Tim meadows and maya balkan rudolph. This movie is definitely for the audience of adam. Sandler's from the ninety s. I think. But i love it. The plot is good natured but eccentric community volunteer huby. Doi- finds himself at the center of a real murder case on halloween night despite his devotion to his hometown of salem massachusetts and its legendary halloween tradition. Huby is a figure of mockery for kids and adults a lake. But it's up to huby to save halloween so a little bit of trivia this movie which you should pay attention to all of the t shirts that all the ladies are wearing their amazing but one of the t shirts that hugues mother wears has muffs diving school written on it and apparently there is actually a small coastal town in county. Donegal ireland donegal. Thank you. I did it right this time in ireland that is called math and there is indeed a diving school there. So that is hilarious. It's kind of like in colorado. Before i have and i'm like well in so he and i both have never really pointed fingers like we we will take more ownership of i mean it was hurtful and there were definitely things that led to it. But we've we've always pointed the finger at ourselves almost just naturally. We've never we've never had to make any sort of packed that that's what we were going to do. We just we just because we've always been friends. We we both genuinely like each other and that makes such a difference in you know. I wanted to make that really clear to people when they 'cause i share my story very openly and i wrote a memoir about it and i actually had to ask my call. My husband stole from someone else because he was my husband and another good name. So i asked. I told him. I was writing my memoir. New Adam Sandler Halloween Movie on Netflix
"I, guess sort of mixed reactions in mixed recommendations from me but Brad let's move to you. What have you been watching? I watched another hitchcock remake Huby. Halloween. How many I saw the original but this one is a steep departure. From that. No. This is the new Adam Sandler movie that's on Netflix's Halloween themed obviously, and I went out of my way to watch it because some people including an article that we published on slash home dot com. I don't remember who who wrote it and forcing them. Sir Jacob can tell me here in a second, but they actually said that this movie was funny. And I just WANNA say? No, it's not. I I will say I did laugh a few times during this movie. There are some some funny recurring bits and just a few things that I was surprised just funny jokes that suddenly caught me off guard. But this is just another weird movie were Adam. Sandler puts on a goofy voice and this is one of the voices where you can barely understand what he's saying to because he's mumbling all the time. And it's just has such a weird story and it has these tangents that don't ask anything that don't make any sense like. Shaquille O'Neal's part in particular. Felt like it was super shoehorned. into the proceedings and then. You know you have Julie Garner's character who is yet another woman who is inexplicably infatuated with one sandler's dimwitted goofball characters and I just I don't know how or like. Adam. Sandler his point and like why he's been stuck here for so long 'cause I had also recently rewatch the wedding singer went to talked about in the quarantine stream and recently big daddy because I found out that my parents had never seen and I love both of those movies and they are genuinely hilarious not even just funny by. Adam Sandler movie standards. They're very good comedies and just movies like Cuba Halloween in Sandy Wexler which Steven Brill also directed there. So far, and away you know the kind of comedy that Adam Sandler used to be able to make used to have like characters that were fleshed out and felt real while also being funny and like not just these goofy characters and that's not to say that you can't have comedies that have outlandish characters in them. But whatever Adam Sandler is doing with these kinds
Boston News Anchor Says Appearing in Adam Sandler’s ‘Hubie Halloween’ Got Her Fired
"A Boston news anchor named Joe Pinto was fired by the station she works for W.. H.. T. H. T. V. for making a cameo Adam sandlers horror comedy Huby Halloween. Halloween haven't seen it. I don't really know. Yes. So looks terrible. So she lost her job. Says because she mistakenly violated her contract by saying Oh. Yeah. I'll be the news anchor for a small part in this movie. Welcome back you're watching her parents in the movie and it's October thirty first, which is a special day across the country. But most especially in Salem America's on official Halloween capital and it's going to be was dressed up as Harley Quinn wake up. "So I don't know if you've seen on Netflix Adam sandlers. Huby. Everyone says it is. So supposedly it is but it's not one of those things that you got to see. So huby thinks the killer is in his house and it's got kidnap and kill his mom. So he goes running home riding his bike superfast home and he into the house and his mom is there and he scared and he goes into. The backyard and what what happens in the backyard you can talk about that seeing. That became suddenly like sadistic because you know the whole thing had a bit of. An amusement to the whole time despite you know certain other things happening. But as soon as you walk in first of all, as soon as he was like mom mom and. Like. Oh my God mom and then. There is one moment we're split like right before he got in where I was like it's the mom. And it out and then she says to him, you know I always told you that you should stand up for yourself but clearly you aren't. So it's my turn and Yuko and it's like all these makeshift makeshift like crosses and you know obviously they used to burn which is in Salem right and I think they said that they're great. Great. Great. Great. "Stunned shook. This could be a turning point in the twenty thousand nine hundred finals. Kevin Durant a perfect three for three from three point land eleven points. And he comes up lame with nine forty six to go in the second quarter by Lyle. Custody and Huby Brown on ESPN radio with the call eleven points and twelve minutes, an aggressive, Katie out there setting the tone, all of the things we expected in the Disney storybook ending. And then that happened making a simple drive cuts cuts aggressively, and you can see on the replay the moment that the calf essentially just seizes up and in the process of seizing up the fear from the team the expectation from the Golden State Warriors, is that he's injured his achilles. So Golden State gets the win. Golden State gets the opportunity to force another game. But now everybody is looking into saying, oh my God. The best player in the world a player that, frankly, everybody's wanted to speak for a player that everybody is wanted to sort of talk about what, what is motivations. How many people have sat there and said, oh, you know what Katy sitting back doesn't want? He's just want to take any risk. He's not going to do anything. That's been the conversation, a player that we've just presumed was sitting out, not we as in me. But some many people have have presumed he was just sitting on the sideline waiting for the perfect opportunity to come back for. What's best for his legacy? People have questions, toughness people have questioned his motivation. People have questioned everything about this warriors run, and I'll go back from the tiniest injury happened, not just because I sit next to him every day. But Mike Golic seniors been one of the smartest people on this mice had the injury in the past, and his his point over and over again has been when you have this sort of a calf injury. Your body will tell you when you're ready to play. And until you're ready to play you can't do anything about it. That's the consensus from people that actually have experienced the injury. So he goes into last night's game. We wanna make it a story book Kennedy. He goes into last night's game. And he's playing so dominant that we're all looking at saying, wow. Yes. Kevin Durant, this whole series is going to take another another turn. What do you do when then all of a sudden in one moment? Everybody starts questioning everything everything. And I'm telling you, it's not just me. You NBA fans everywhere that are shook. The entire warriors organization is Bob Myers. Warrior, GM was emotional in the press conference afterwards when he fell on the sword for all of this. I don't believe there's anybody to blame. But I understand this world. And if you have to you can blame me I run our basketball operations department. Listen to the emotion in his voice. And the funny thing is people have ridiculed that over the last few hours that he's up their emotional and crying. And if that's your take on it, go listen to somebody else. I need you here at this is a player that has given everything he has in his body to come. Give everything that he can for for a team did needed him. This is an incredibly real moment where an organization obviously as a medical staff they trust. That medical staff that medical staff looks at and says, hey, he's good to go. And the player says, I'm good to go. And then the worst possible thing happens. The injury gets worse. Rachel Nichols, host of the jump talked about afterwards even Steve Kerr and what he continued to say it speaks to this, I walked out of the building with Steve Kerr and Scott. I mean he just kept saying to me, he's like the doctors told us that he couldn't get more hurt by coming back, but he cleared that hurdle and.

"Between the raptors and warriors tonight, right here on ESPN one thousand Atta mean sitting in for carbon the Falco Carmody urkel on ESPN one thousand marquess kind enough to join us this afternoon from Oakland from San are you are you at the western in San Francisco right now is still preparing to get going over to Oakland right now. I do all my trade secrets we are in beautiful San Francisco. John berry took us out to seven hills. We always Choi bills, Kevin winner. Our, our studio host, and Mike Suzy, our producer, your these are all names at Adam knows they have never been to seven hills. Those guys never had a meal like that last night, I mean, the food just kept coming one great dish after another. We rolled down the hill all the way back to the western Saint Francis. I'm gonna tell you some right now. They're the one thing, the one great thing. And there are several good things at one maybe best thing about the NBA is the restaurant circuit may be one of the best restaurants in the country. Seven hills in San Francisco aren't give you a sense, but you got a chance to talk to both coaches yesterday on the day, I once the health issue, what's the update and whereas Golden State right now in terms of its health and personnel. We always get the couple minutes to record an interview with Steve Kerr in that I let Huby Brown after them for the remaining eight minutes that we get. And all we talked to was injuries, obviously Klay Thompson, you know, Kerr couldn't take a chance in game three because we don't know what we're getting with Kevin Durant if he's going to come back in the series. They're hoping they're hoping that Klay Thompson can be Klay Thompson tonight because, you know not just all the off ball movement on offense, but defensively and I'm not sure he's going to put him on Kawhi Leonard at the start. It's it's a big ask for a guy with a hamstring. We don't know how close to one hundred percent but he's got the extra two days, he probably could've played the other day they were just being cautious as for Durant. I think maybe a miscommunication from Steve Kerr in the training staff when he talked about having, you know, three on three on Thursday on the off day, and you know they were. Hopeful many that you didn't say they were hopeful that he'd go for game four. I think we all read into it that he would be hopeful to go into game four and then yesterday, kind of kind of took the wind out of the sales when they announced it right off the top thirty hours tip threat Durant's out available, but I've been told by many people. It's not a setback. Just not ready yet game five is a distinct possibility and I guess I'll also loop in their DeMarcus cousins, he didn't really give us a firm answer. When I asked what he went out with late in a game, number three, but they are hopeful, and then here's a wild card for you guys. Would you got Kvant loony, who is obviously, the collarbone I am far from a web, MD master. So I could not tell you what the Kostel cartilages, but I can say that, if he can't hurt it any worse, and if he can get through the pain, and if they fit him with some kind of flack jacket he's. Is not officially out tonight as listed as question Ray. So just keep that in the back of your mind that maybe maybe in a very desperate situation, Kvant looney, perhaps could be available Toronto on the other hand. Everybody's good. Everybody's fine. Paschal science, m looks like an all star. It looks fantastic. Most improved player. They've got no issues as they move forward. You know, they don't their biggest issue is just making shots. Even in game two. When they had the stretch when Golden State went twenty two zero and then late in the fourth quarter when the offense struggled as well you know, they were getting shots and I thought the warriors played better defense in game two than they had. But, but overall the warriors and the three games overall has not been great. And when you look at the numbers and UBS, great laying it out for us. You Brown at our production meeting, not too many times where they're playing seven or eight guys. And they all shot over fifty percent. He said it was pretty close to a perfect game. You know, it was a fifty forty ninety across the board. If Kyle Lowry is gonna shoot like that if data greens gonna shoot like that, and if they get any kind of production from Serge Ibaka with six blocked shots as he had and Kawhi Leonard really hasn't even had a dominant Kawai litter game yet, maybe outside of the third quarter in game three so you're right there. Quietly confident that they've got enough veterans where I don't think they're looking ahead like two games away from championship, but they knew they had to win game three based on the health of Golden State, and I think they, I think they know what the waiting them tonight, because the warriors have been here before they've had some desperate times over the last few years in tonight's one of those desperate games anybody's capable, even if they lose tonight if I would trust anybody to come back from three one it would be Golden State. Mark casters joining us on ESPN one thousand he get set for the call the game four of warriors and raptors in the finals tonight, Adam Amine in for Carmen on Carmen in your go cast, you, you were there. You saw the, the scuffle, the brouhaha the shove by Mark Stevens putting his hands on Kyle Lowry. What did you see from your perspective, and kind of give us a sense of what you've what you've thought in the aftermath? Well it it's, it's good for me to look after the game. Because with the with Canadian television being a part of this series for the first time, it's historic. Adam, we don't have our floor seats bigger. I figured by final time ever at the oracle because we're moving to the beautiful new chase center here in San Francisco. Next year I was looking forward all year. The warriors made the finals the last time, we'll be sitting on the floor because, as you know, and all the all the media is going to be off the floor in the new building, except for national television. So Canadian television won the toss. And we are up at the top of the bowl. So that's a long way of saying. I didn't really get a good look at it as real time. I'm Joe Devlin for such things. Then, then we'll make sure. They get. And you know what's ironic is a light structure fell and nearly. No doubt Leo route. So I told you be I said, you know what maybe was good. We were at the top of section one twenty four and I might have. Nobody nobody was hurt. But I just from seeing it on video. I think you know what the NBA is one of those leagues that's out in front of everything. And I give credit, not just to the league with to the warriors. I think they had an inkling obviously, they knew that they had an investor that was part of this. They got out in front of it yesterday morning. Put out a press release condemning it Lee came out by year long suspension players from both sides backed Lowery. And of course, you know Kyle Lowry like I know him. He's one of the best guys in the NBA imported himself perfectly. So I think everything was handled. Well, joining us, he's got the call of warriors and raptors tonight from oracle arena in Oakland. Cassie give Huby and the crew my best show as always we appreciate the time, have a great call. I will chat with you guys. Take care Castaing's, Cassidy marquesses for joining us sub again. I, I I'm, I'm baffled. At times with how this series is played on now. I'm not shocked by it, but I'm just show. It's a head scratcher every single time you see this, this health, it's got a lot to do with health and not being a hundred percent still trying to play. And the people that don't look like, hey. They, he doesn't normally look like what he looks while that's because he's trying to overcome something, and it's difficult to go ahead. And then try to handicapped at the interesting said he's in the upper baller. He's up on top at one twenty four wants to worst place you've ever done a game from in the NBA. You think? NBA college. What you I've been on rooftops of college stadiums before doing the national radio broadcast. I remember I was on the photo deck. I did the iron bowl six years ago when it was the kick six game. I was sitting on the photo deck in front of the Auburn broadcast booth. There's no, there's no barrier there. We a strong gust comes our way or somebody accidentally bumped me from behind. I'm pitched out into the crowd right now. I'm just hoping that the fans aren't inebriated enough to that point where they can reach up their hands and just save me. That's all I did. I did during the football league telecasts Russian for TNN. And yeah. So when we're TNN now is treat us while Nashville network. I correct. Yes. TNN. Yes. Presented it was great. You lie gold Jill Errington and myself. He lies the voice of the Alabama crimson tide on the radio. Was it a good good good friend of mine, and we all know Jill jobs out right now in Los Angeles. But when we were doing the rate of stuff time door night, we're up in San Jose. In the cat. The saver catwalk. Yeah. We're walking through the catwalk trying to get to an eight foot table that kids play beer pong on. And, and we couldn't see jerseys. You couldn't see numbers up as you go. We would we call touchdowns we didn't know necessarily, but we're having fun. But sometimes that's what happens. In other turn starting to treat the press a little worse worse worse. They're starting to put you in place, ler word stadiums, where they really don't care about every NBA stadium. Every new NBA arenas, basically shoving everybody on the media away from press row. Which, again listen, if money's hits, visit businessman that'd be doing the same thing. You're gonna clear, a lot of money on those seats. So I get it. "Brown. ESPN radio analyst Basketball Hall of Famer on the Yuma guest line Huby. Brian Murphy, Paul McCaffrey out here in San Francisco, obviously focused on the Golden State Warriors, and you were in the building last night. First of all, good morning to you and second of all, I'd love to just kind of open it up and say, Huby what was your your headline takeaway from game one? Well, first of all, thanks for having me on the show. Oh, yeah. As I was at the Oprah city. Oh in the army for a couple of years. Wow. Huby huby. I got married there at the old chapel. Yeah, yeah. And then we had our reception at the officers club. Yeah. It's a great spot. Why not? Yeah. To me the most important start. The coaching has got a look at your starting forwards IGA dollar green and the center position bell looney. And causes, you gotta look at this now and say the frontline, Leonard Siachen Gusau outscored us seventy five to eighteen how I've been doing this a long time eighteen finals and thirty one years ago that I've never seen this out like that, right? He'd Cosworth talking about the second and third best teams in the league. No give the defense, a ton of credit because once this Sorrento defense in Milwaukee series, they took a team that average a hundred eighteen during the year number one and held them twenty four points that they're scoring now last night, you say, well, you know, we got one hundred nine I, I admit you got one hundred nine but your frontline got out work the traps were there. The rotations were they? There. But you got to look at the rotations. Now, did you underestimate once the ball came on the second pass out of the traps to the individual? Did you underestimate the guy talent? And a lot of times last night. It was CRM and Gosol. And they hurt you by shooting an incredible percentage. Now that to me, was the most important thing. Well, that's great. I mean this is why we we love talking to you. We love talking basketball here and I gotta ask you Huby after the game Steve Kerr and a number of warriors said, and they and they went to great pains to say it's not an excuse, but they were weren't that familiar with what Toronto was offering them on the basketball court. And I wonder if that kind of goes hand in hand with what you just said that Steve Kerr and Mike Brown and Ron Adams and all them sit down today and say, this is what these guys are bringing at us. And therefore, there is plenty of room for a warrior defensive adjustment. Well, you have to give them credit because whenever it down, oh to against Milwaukee we cherish, they changed their defense completely. I gotta give Nick nurse a ton of credit for doing this. They started trapping starting trapping out beyond the three point line. And then on the wing, and then their rotations were so good. They did not care. They would leave your center alone and use this center either because all our Baca as his own guy in the painted area to pick up any guy that would come off the dribble. So he did that. And it was very successful, because they had three of the best shooters of Milwaukee shoot twenty and nineteen percent. Now did you see that last night? No. Because Thomson and curry had great production in three point ball. But then, again, what about the rest of the people see to me? Coming out of Portland curry average. No Durant now. Hurry, javard fifteen three point attempts and Thomson eight so it's twenty three. Well, they held him down last night, the fifteen so you say, what's the big deal? Well, when you give them eight extra threes between them, they are going to shoot a high percentage. And that's the difference in the game. So give them credit that their defense once again did a good job eliminating on three point area, and then picking up off the dribble. So that's a major plus for their defense now at the offensive an Toronto in the entire Milwaukee series never shot fifty percent from the field now. They made fourteen threes. The game. They made thirteen against you last night. They shot fairly distant on the foul line. They were twenty seven thirty two eighty four give them credit for that. But then the big one, you're negative was your. Frontline, frontline production. You're seventeen turnovers. They only turn the ball over ten times against all of that trapping. You took their two of their top three scores out of the game by Leonard and then also Lowry's. Now they usually get more shots. They struggled last night. They were seven for twenty three between them. But the big thing was, you cut them down in shot at temps. But then they were able to find the free people to hurt you from the foul line down and got to give them credit that twenty-five assists themselves, which they did not do throughout the entire series against Milwaukee. It was a great performance by the Toronto Raptors where you're talking to Basketball Hall of Famer Huby Brown, you can hear them on the ESPN radio. Broadcast, two time NBA coach of the year. And we are breaking down the raptors one eighteen to one zero nine win over the warriors game to Sunday night at five o'clock. He'll be we would love to get your opinion of the individual performance of PASCAL Ceac. I mean the story is one thing didn't wanna play until he was fifteen Cameroon zone and it, and there was a comparisons being made last night, around social media of James worthy sort of like a James worthy, nineteen Eighty-eight NBA finals, and the stats bore out Huby that it was one of the great shooting performances in scoring performances in. Recent NBA finals history. I'd love your, your opinion of that of that young man's performance, who Draymond green said last night became a guy and that was his high praise for Ceac. I think they underestimated his talents. I remember one, but then give him a bonus. He never came out of college with the reputation of James worthy, or the production of James worthy right off the bat. He came out of college, and it was playing in the G league for Toronto won. They won the G league championship with Benfleet. He was the MVP but give him credit because he's worked very, very hard on his three point shooting in the corners, because that's where he opens up. And then there's one on one game off the dribble now last night, the trapping of Golden State was excellent. I pass nobody. They're no shot, the second pass out of detract. I you're sometimes late or you gave them the one on one. Now when you're one on one the Siachen the majority of times he had green on them. They all five straight years in all defense team all off the dribble. He was outstanding. Now, I admit he made four shots in the paint that he could never make in his backyard, or in his driveway on his whole what anybody playing them. You pay planned night. Little baby hawks. Yeah. Awkwardly incredible angles. And then a tap. So that was eight points. That miraculously the ball went in the basket. But give the kid a ton of credit. He's only been a starter. You know part time last year. And now this year you gotta give them credit because most improve the has to be right up there. If he doesn't win the award. I don't know who they're going to give that award to. I know there are good people out there. But this kid is, as insatiable year on the break, he runs the like James worthy. That's where he reminds me James worthy when that ball would go up and out with magic pushing you Scott on one side, yet, worthy on the other now last night, you could see it, it didn't matter, who was in the middle that siato was out on the wing. He has a knack of getting out and he was like a greyhound. Just like worthy cover this space, so quickly. Yeah. Totally Huby Brown. I see it in my mind. I watched some of the cut ups and his his strides down the floor, which is gorgeous. And that's how he beat the warriors in transition. Now Huby that's a hall of Famer Huby Brown on the guest line with us here on the Murph and MAC show Huby. You said you did the Toronto walkie series. So I'm curious to get your answer to this question. The warriors played without Kevin Durant, and use you didn't get to see them in Portland in person without Durant. One of the writers in San Francisco said the warriors appeared incomplete with for the first time since the Durant injury. And I wondered your opinion because I think that might be an accurate description of their offense it appeared incomplete without Durant last night. I'd love your your your vision. Your your eyewitness account of the warriors without Durant. Well, well, first of all. Yeah. When you say Durant, you say thirty four points and what nobody's talking about, is the over fifty over forty entries over ninety all know guys have only done that since the three point line went in forty years ago. So we know missing him his major now, you might not have all of that back screening and picking up picking and then staggering across the top with two screens. That's maybe the ball stops a little bit with the rent. Okay. But let's say let's face the production the production is what you're missing because he bills you out what the shock lockdown nobody can block his shot because of the size and the fake and the release. So he has missed tremendously. But, you know, playoff time people outside is separate Cisco careless. Okay. But people in San Francisco, it's like when your children, you know, around around the table, you know, they're the only ones who care about that poor did the team just lost. Same kind of feel it. I just wanna say. You're coming out of embarrassing Portland. You took their two best scores and reduce their scoring supporting cast could not score. So you have full security coming out of that series that what you're doing and working is going to work. So you put in your first phase of trapping hard to take out the opportunities of Leonard, and Larry which he did. They were seven Twenty-three before, but what you did was you force them to become passers, and they had a great night in assists with Lowery. What nine and Leonard with five and only five turnovers? Don't underestimate that with all of that hard trapping, and that it's difficult to execute and find free people because the energy was there from golden say trapping was good. But then give Toronto credit. Like I told you, they have never in that Milwaukee series, they never shot over fifty and make that many foul shots. Give them credit for going to the line under pressure, and shooting a high percentage he performed an extremely high level. And they got the win in Huby will steal you for a couple more minutes here. We very much appreciate you taking time out of your morning and Toronto getting ready for game to Sunday. And I wonder 'cause you are one of the great Xs and os, talkers you love to talk about the game of basketball itself. And I wonder if external factors ever enter into your question, for example, it was armed pression that there was an enormous amount of emotion and energy in the building in the city, and it almost felt like it became a factor in the game Huby do you buy into that at all? Well, what you have to understand. There's so much pride here in this franchise. If they win this thing, it will be the first time naturally outside United States that a franchise has won the championship. So does somber one but getting to the finals as almost as good as winning now. I know almost you know what quotes but I, I know they want to win this thing badly. But then, again, go back and look at it this way basketball was a hotbed Toronto area. They led the league now for three straight years in a row for a country outside the United States that twelve players in like between ten and twelve over the last three years from this area in the NBA, they go now when France was doing that with Tony Parker knows guys and Argentina was doing that, that was a big deal. I don't know..

"To shoot looks at the clock shoots. Triple. Looking for that the building everyone's up and the right police. There's a draw. Right. Pascal Siaca water game. What he's having everybody had a lot of love of PASCAL Siaka when you hear the call of the Marquette, assure and Huby Brown, the NBA on ESPN radio. Even Drake NC a lot on TV tonight. I think we all can benefit from that one from that standpoint. But he an old school. Dell Curry Serano, raptors jersey. And even Dell Curry got a kick out of that after the game was over as Golden State, who's leaving Drake being Drake yelling at Draymond green yelling. Steph curry saying you guys are trash you knew that, that was going to be talked about in the press conference, especially involving before aforementioned, Draymond green, PASCAL Siachen due to give you got so much trouble tonight. I think he played amazing game obviously. But you know, he got on transition transition was horrible. I let them get in a rhythm in the first half. First quarter really. So I got to do a better job of taking them away. And I will. But you know we had a great game but that's how me given that it was his first finals game that surprise you that he was so aggressive, no different people react differently in different situations. So I don't like I said, I got to do a better job of taking them out there. You know the league so well. And CR comes a guy who sort of came quickly from Africa hadn't played the game very long. What kind of improvement did he show tonight from other times that you've seen them in an NBA game? Well. Oh, I mean, really the only time I've ever really played on his last year I played on the second time we played them this year. Probably played sixteen minutes or something like that. I was just coming back from injury. You know you gotta take off tone regardless of this game. You still have to take your hat off to them even before this game of what he's been able to accomplish this year. You know he he's become a guy and so you know you got. He put a lot of work in and get there. And I respect that. But like I said, I gotta take him out of the series. And that's what me defensively guys were very aggressive with quiet littered, but they did open up some other things for the others on the raptors. What are some things that you feel that you guys can do better and gave defensively that cata shut down the others beyond? I think we gotta do a better job early on. Like we gave the couple wide open threes. We gave Ghazal without open threes. And like there was no rotation and so you guys those type of shots, they get comfortable, you know, and it's a different beast. So I think we did a good job on Koa. We gotta keep that up, but we have to do a better job on everybody else as well. So thou rotations, gotta be better. You know, we've got to fly around a little bit more than we gotta stop them from get out, in transition, what affect if any did it have that the series started on the road, and the, the atmosphere out there and wanting also, what is it about your team that? If it's the playoffs in or later, you guys take care of your business on the road. Think obviously a different field. And we've always started the finals at home. But we you know we relish as opportunity, the end of the day, you gotta come on the road win one. You know, so. You know that's still the mission. We gotta win one game on the road and. Like where we are. We didn't we didn't play very well tonight at all. And you know we still had a chance their entire game. Those great atmosphere. Not that, you know, this is a team a city a country that hasn't seen the final ever here. So respected to be a great atmosphere. And there was. But we still play better know we will obviously very impressive both ways. But did you feel like you guys might have not figured some things out? But work some things out as long as you feel better at the end than you did at the beginning. Yeah. Number one. We gotta learn conditioning back start to start a game. It was been rough after nine ten days off. But I think we just got a better fill for, like I said, this is the team that we really haven't played the first time we played them Steph or myself didn't play second time we play them collided and play like so this is essentially our first time plan team. Not are we gotta fill for them. We got to tape to watch, you know, we know what we can do better. I like where we're at especially like I said the way the game went tonight. We always had a chance and we didn't play very well at all. So, you know. You leaders game filling good as you possibly can feel knowing that. Yeah. We lost. But we you know, I think we figured some things out and we'll be better. Next trim on. You've often mentioned the past when things aren't going away as a team that, that Kevin can often be the ultimate Trump card. What things were difficult specifically without him tonight. Think number one, we turned over seventeen times seventeen points on those knows. No, one of the keys coming into the game was stopped him and transition turn of all over that many times they're going to get out in transition, so. Yeah. You usually do have Kevin at though, you know throw the ball to. But I don't necessarily think the problem was our offense outside of the turnovers. You know, we just got to be better all around the floor. And especially on defense of just wanted you to talk a little bit about that postgame scuffle between you and Drake question about basketball. It wasn't really a scuffle because I didn't hear him. And he didn't hit me. I didn't push him. He didn't push me we talk. We talked a little bit. But I wouldn't necessarily consider that a scuffle not really, what I personally will consider a scuffle. Okay. Draymond green address. I'm not the smartest person in the world. But I notice scuffle looks like that was nowhere near a scuffle between him and Drake, exchange of barbs. You know about it. His response to the scuffle was Esq. Yeah. I mean if you if if she raises the question maybe a little differently. I would take the word scuffle out of the question. But very vain dream on as you would expect Draymond to and the biggest takeaway from that is he sounded so calm. Like I we lost game one. Yeah but we were in the game right for up until ninety seconds to play. Right. So the better team won in that. That's what happened. And if you read between the lines of what he was saying the number one thing that they have to fix in. He sounds extremely calm and collected that they will get it fixed for game two transition defense transition defense and transition, defend believe me, they left a lot in the middle of the lane for the goals, they wars to get those two point shots. See you're going to see a lot more of that if that is going to be the defense that's around is going to play. They were really good defensively, and they still gave him a Bucko nine Golden State was not good defensively. As a matter of fact, they give by eighteen Golden State got what they deserve losing game on the night Toronto. Was clearly the better team. And Kawhi Leonard had to say about waiting for that shadow over this series. Keep it here on ESPN.

Huby you're gonna get plenty a basketball information almost more than you can handle quite honestly. And I even think the guys that they use on TNT. I don't feel like I'm learning a whole lot about basketball, you do not necessarily look, I think shack and Charles. They've still been telling me for three years that a jump shooting team. I think and then I think Kenny Smith gives you some pretty good basketball. Are you ready Stu gods? What is what do we need to know about your sports whisper who does it involve what is the scenario that we're looking at? So those sports whisper this time is Scott Boris. He's talking to his age Bryce Harper agent. And he's talking to talking to his client Bryce Harper because Bryce Harper. Dan plays baseball. I just signed a big deal. Very good thirteen years three hundred and thirty million dollars here. The sports Westberg for those of you do not know is what really is happening in the background. But here's what's interesting me as he was the quarterbacks coach for Frank Reich as a no see does that mean that Frank Reich already has an ornament for his coaching tree. It doesn't matter if it's about Nick foles because the whole point of the quarterbacks coach situation there was that they won the Super Bowl with him at his own never mind who they bring it. "Well, I think as I eavesdropped on the conversation that it's not only lacy, but how your legacy ca then create opportunities gifts that will reveal in the future. So when you mention Charles Barkley while he didn't win a championship, you know, his career. And obviously is personalities gifts is what set the table for career in broadcasting and Charles, you never know some day. He may be governor of state, you know, in this country or curve who want a lot of camping trips like Hori, and while that was special and unique to be able to to win champships Santa Tonio in Chicago. I was how those experiences informed future as a general manager broadcaster. And then of course, now a coach, but legacy isn't. Portent that's a footprint that you leave behind. And there's the championship Ray the, obviously, which is ideal. But also there's legacy in terms of how you treat people and your integrity and the way you drive and things along those lines. So I kind of look at legacy of number our at least through you know, at a different lens. Maybe a number of different ways to look at legacy. You know, one of the things that when I think of legacy is obviously, you know, one of the legacies that you left being a head coach over at UCLA. And now would you see that job is vacant right now? And you're trying to figure out what should you do where do they go? How do they get back to where Westwood was the was the place every college basketball player on the west coast wanted to be what's the first thing that UCLA must do when they look at themselves in terms of going for the next higher. Well, you wanna look at a great fit. And so often fit is determined by timing and Earl Watson who I had the honour of coaching for four years. Matter of fact, he never missed a start an iron man, I as a starter for us for four consecutive years. And the fact that stops along the way not just UCLA. Then thirteen years in the NBA. And while he was in the NBA playing for Nate McMillan Huby Brown, you know, influenced by coaches and NBA. You know executives like Jerry West y'all so played for Jerry Sloan I learned from Popovich and our Sione when he was coaching DV dream in Austin, Texas. He's drawn from grapes peering through. So, you know, I feel this point with Earl Watson background is UCLA basketball players thirteen years. The league is experiences. Learn from different coaches time with the Phoenix Suns the head coach are set him up as the ideal marriage or fit and naturally UCLA's. Gonna do a national search president gene block, and yet let director, Dan Guerrero. Bob Myers, another my former players head of the search committee of and I think when all the dust settles. There won't be a better fit in the country. Then our Watson in terms of where he ad where he is in terms of his aides. He'd have the opportunity to stay at UCLA for some decades. And we haven't had continuity UCLA. John wooden was there for twenty seven years, and I've been one of the challenges when you look throughout the country the schools women national titles on a regular basis. Other one by coaches that have been there for fifteen twenty twenty five thirty thirty five forty years, consecutively whether it was eight off ramp, but Kentucky Duke, ROY Williams and Bill self currently Kansas North Carolina, lute Olson twenty five years. Tom is over twenty years behind your cues close to forty years. Jim Calhoun, Connecticut, you know, twenty five years of these coaches, stay in place, they kingdoms less. John wooden dairy off up did and even. Have tough years. They get bumped down the first round occasional losing season. I like Dylan over chain. Right.
