Huang's Law, the New Moore's Law?

"It got all lost in the scramble of other news but remember invidia bought arm and that's a pretty big deal. So to pieces about that, I let me introduce you to. Some, people see as the new Moore's law and it might explain why Invidia is doing what it's doing quoting Chris Mims in the Wall Street Journal who I believe has actually coined the term quote as chipmakers have reached the limits of atomic scale circuitry and the physics of electrons Moore's law has slowed and some say it's over but a different law potentially, no less consequential computing's next half century has arisen. I call it wings law after INVIDIA Chief Executive and Co founder Jensen Wang it describes how the silicon chips that power artificial intelligence more than double in performance. Every two years while the increase can be attributed to both hardware and software it. Steady progress makes it a unique enabler of everything from autonomous cars, trucks, and ships to the face voice and recognition in our personal gadgets between November twenty twelve and may performance of nvidia chips increased three hundred and seventeen times for an important class of a calculation says Bill Daley chief scientists and Senior Vice President of research at Nvidia on average in other words, the performance of these chips more than doubled every year a rate of progress that makes Moore's law pale in comparison and quote. And then also from the Journal, a portrait of Jensen Wang and his founding and stewardship of Invidia as the company has. Just exploded in all sorts of ways. In videos market value has soared to three hundred and nineteen point, eight billion dollars surpassing Intel's valuation of two hundred and fourteen point five, billion dollars even though INVIDIA had ten point nine, two, billion in annual sales in its latest fiscal year compared with seventy one, point nine, seven, billion for Intel. Videos bet on some of the hottest fields, INTECH video gaming and artificial intelligence have fueled investor enthusiasm. While Intel has stumbled with some of its most advanced chips, it's all a long way from nineteen ninety-three when Mr Huang. Dreamed up in video on his thirtieth birthday at a Denny's in San Jose California with two like minded engineers they bet on a future where consumers demanded better computer graphics, which would require specialized high performance hardware that wasn't available at the time and

"She's currently thirty five weeks pregnant expecting her first kid welcome to the show Tori. Thanks Brittany hello from Denver. Sorry. What is your developed origin story? Well I. started actually as a mechanical engineer I aggregated from Purdue University Indiana back in twenty twelve. My mom however is a software engineering professor. So really what I was trying to do is find my own path. I wanted to be in a stem field while still doing my own thing. So I chose mechanical engineering. And I loved it in school. But I tried mechanical engineering as a career for two years after school and the real world is very different. From academia it was not as technical as I had hoped all the really cool technical jobs require at least a master's degree or a decade of experience, and I also encountered a lot of discrimination sexual harassment. It's an older heavily male dominated industry. So coming right out of college. As a woman into my career was a little bit difficult. You stick out like a sore thumb. So ultimately I quit my job in mechanical. As a career entirely and moved to Illinois where my fiance lived. I spent a year or two trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. Well, my fiance and eventually husband supported the two of us and actually started. Dog Running Company. So I had this idea that I wanted to build an APP kind of like wack. Have you heard of wag the dog walking out I have I have a chocolate lab named George? So yes, very familiar. Oh, awesome. Okay. So this was before wag was a big thing. I wanted to build this dog running up and connect people with active dogs to runners that lived in their neighborhood. Is kind of a goofy idea and actually started the company I had about five people running for a dog at one point, and when I really started digging into creating this APP, I realized that I loved everything about it. I love trying to understand how the database should be modeled pick which technologies use, and I should also add I didn't know anything about starting a business or building software. So I was kind of just goofing around and as I was working on this dog jog APP I realized that this is what I should actually be doing. I should learn how to be a software engineer which I should have done from the beginning shouldn't have tried to go path just embrace that I was going to do my mom Barney did So I went to one of those coding schools. Called Dev bootcamp in Chicago they're shut down now. But at the time, it was an eighteen week program. I learned how to Code it was a ruby on rails coding school so as coating and Ruby. And after I finish the program I, worked for two different startups. About two or three years until I found Gusto and really I found my passion in Software Engineering I. Absolutely love everything about it. I love working with startups and I'm really glad I took all of those risks I did to kind of find my way to becoming a software developer. I love that it's a great origin story and I'm especially a big Fan of the roundabout stories because I have one as well and I.

What does South East Asia want from the US and China?

"Bland is director of South, East Asian program at the low institute and Longley to. She's a senior analyst at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute walk into your by. Ben How is the increasingly assertive use and indeed Australian position on China. How is that being interpreted in South East Asia. We have this is a very broad region of ten countries of different size from giants like Indonesia to minnows, like Brunei to have been diverse reactions, but broadly speaking I think there's a lot of frustration with the trump administration the way it's being on the one hand increasingly unilateral and unpredictable. But on the other hand, there's this fear of US abandonment if you like in a long-term leaving the region to. Gemini so I think we have to understand. It's a complex picture, right? So the US has to treaty allies in southeast, Asia Thailand, and the Philippines and they've been amongst the countries that are most China friendly and most frustrated with the US government in recent years be while we see a former. FO- like Vietnam there's being one of the most receptive of the US approach to. Try and run the loss years. So it's quite complicated I. Think the real risk here is that the US government and to a lesser extent that I'm camera believes that it's more assertive stance on China is appreciated in the region and I think that's really not necessarily the case because at the end of the day like Australia. But most South East Asian countries China is that biggest. Partner, as well as being geographic neighbor is that you're reading to Huang given the Vietnam of course has been just mentioned is a Cold War Foe of united, states but in in the face of verizon charts getting closer to Washington. Southeast Asian nations have gone through a different phases of. Living next to China, they've known China. Through historical engagements of this is not a new thing for them. The anxiety about China's and China's might end as you mentioned, they've gone through A. Competition to window call when they have still vivid memories of that. So in overall I think they they do have anxiety. There is a pronounced anxiety about the intensifying great-power competition that might. Lead to similar way of asking them to choose sides like was in the Cold War but I think all of them want to keep both China and us in the region a engaged. Also not too. Aggressive or not to assertive, and they also want to involve other. Powers not only the be the two big ones but also Japan Australia's are career and the European countries. A little bit of competition is good for them but took much competition can be nervous. Let's bring it to Indonesia Ben. There's your name subject at the end of last year Indonesia and China had a face off over the ownership of the Natuna islands which are in the southernmost part of the area of the South China Sea claimed by China. Where does Jakarta stand on China? Now it's an, it's an interesting question building a wall who was just talking about because we look at Indonesia's president. Jerko with widow known as Jacoby, I've just written the first English biography of him the plug in that. He he is an economy I president. He is someone who is above all interested in creating more jobs, getting more investment into Indonesia, and especially during a time of covid nineteen when the economy's really collapsed and Jacoby is a transactional leaders that he wants those who are bringing the most money with fewer conditions and right now that is China Chinese state-owned companies. Chinese. Private companies like qualify as well. On, the other hand of course, Jacoby has to be seen to be defending Indonesia's sovereignty and we have had these clashes over fishing rights. I have access to certain waters that you mentioned. So I think when those of come to head, Jacoby has made a symbolic stance. He's gone out to the tune of see visited the islands gone onto ability ship a symbolic declaration. He's going to defend Indonesia's sovereignty but by in laws you trying to stay away from these. Geopolitical issues to play down the tensions with China said of the economic relationship can keep developing. So it's a really difficult balance and I think there's also a shift that's potentially happening in Indonesia. So the old guard if you like in the Foreign Ministry and the government in the military, they really view above all other things strategic autonomy on non-alignment as being the key for Indonesia. So don't get into any alliances don't get too close to any one power but. There isn't new of God if you like coming through increasing, you think Indonesia needs to be a bit more active about engaging with potentially the US Australia, the Europeans Japanese to try and balance out the region. But for now are really think with Jacoby in the hot seat it's the economy I put the geopolitics aside at the end of the day that's a positive for China, but it's not an open and shut case because the had been long been tensions. Between Indonesia and China. So Jacoby like a lot of other leaders in the region, we'll have to find this delicate balance, but it's getting harder and harder and Huong Vietnam your nation. Let's talk about that. It's been pushing back against Chinese expansion in the South China Sea, which threatens Vietnam oil drilling and fisheries, and of course, it's had an ongoing dispute about water flows in me congresses where China has built dams stream at tell us more about Vietnam position on China. Is Getting nece position on on current China is also a frustrated I. Think at Phnom has gone grew proably among all in countries have had the longest history of interaction with China and most cases where it was trying to defend its own national sovereignty and resist China's expansionist tendencies. So it's been ingrained in Vietnamese National Psyche I would say current us of China Sea conflict to end disputes are only. One of the examples of that, but it is similarly with others opposition countries, which is it's harder and harder to seek more peaceful avenues of dispute because it is a strategy in the South China Sea is among others was to include the direct dialogue with China but that is not really much come to help these days with Chinese expansion expansionist tendencies. Now, you mentioned also on which is very important. Aspect in the relationship. Phnom is at any of the lower mccown and China, is a deal a top of the upper and it's projects of a building dams and not only in China, but a call goes invest in dance in now Cambodia Yaman and Thailand that blocks blocks the water flow blocks were flow of the river, which is very important for agricultural conditions in. Asia and it is called the bowl of rice for the region and the countries. Of course, they export rise agricultural produce and also Crohn's fish and stuff like that. So we've China's interference into ecological nature of the river that can potentially add cost a lot of income for the countries, but also with a backup climate change that can pose a certain at time. Security threat to the food safety and food security of the region. So it is quite a leverage that China can have on the lower countries including at Phnom follow question to Ben Bland. Given what you said earlier about the relatively nuanced in measured response of south. East. Asia towards the United. States if you like trying to ride two horses simultaneously. What happens if China's rise continues on, abide it and seeks to dominate the region and America as the acting regional hegemony on goes to great lengths to stop China from dominating is where do you think? Will be of Southeast Asia then it's it's really hard to say how things go election coming up in the US very soon, I think that could have a big impact on how how things go in the. Trump and pretty anti-china. There's really a difference in degree rather than just shooting Washington goes to great lengths to stop China what they. In, that scenario. All I think I think we're probably not GONNA get to a situation where South East Asian countries have to choose one side of such. But what they will have to do is face an increasing number of difficult small choices about what technology they use in their mobile networks about what military exercises that willing to do about what investment projects say yes or no To so life will get tougher and tougher for the region, but I don't think at the end of the day. Any of the countries will be willing to join an alliance either with the US or with China. So they're going to keep trying to find the space in the gaps in between to try and exploit competition for the best interest if you're looking at. The longer term picture I think there's ways the big affair of the US just turning back inwards and the ultimately that the trump presidency. The rise of trump is probably a symptom of the issues in the US which are gonNA lead to a turning inwards and maturing of the US as a power being less influential pretension in Asia and the rest of the world. So, it may not be a question of China in the US coming to a head but the US rhetoric increasing the US pretend you withdrawing from the region

Have you pictured what it's going to be like I know in my head. I know it won't play out this way, but I'm imagining like when a vaccine comes. It's going to be like the end of Independence Day and everyone's just going to be celebrating. The whole world is going to be running out in the streets and hugging each other and I know it's not gonna be like that, but in my head I'm thinking about what's that moment? GonNa be when we're all released back into the world It was like that man she in our friend's daughter. Who are you two months apart? They're like hugging. They were just like holding hands. These two had had traditionally actually been like pretty standoffish with one another. They had not really engaged to fully as buddies, but like man they were literally hugging, and just like I don't know they must have just been craving human context. It was crazy I. think it's going to bring you a lot of joy to see it when he goes in there with another kid and just so cute. It's just so sweet and. Man. I miss the world. I was watching have you? "You wish for me to dry up the rain that long has produced. The chiel has used against you with the Earl of the wins. I would not ask if it were not important. My Kingdom is that stake. And why should I care about your kingdom a kingdom? You have not allowed me to visit. I am not wanted here on earth. You've made that clear enough daughter. I have been blinded by my power and rule this battle. This failure has caused me to look at my choices. An understand my weaknesses. I thought I could do this alone. That I would be victorious because of my allies and my powers but my failure has forced me to see the things I could not before I should never have sent you away. You have spurned me your daughter. I am so very sorry please. If you helped me win this war you may come down to Earth as often as you please. Lady Bar considered her father for a moment she longed to make him suffer after all that he had done to her but one d asking her for help was more than just a chance to spend time on earth and around others. It was a chance to make her father proud and that was all she had ever wanted. She nodded to her father. Her face breaking into a smile back on the battlefield. Chiyo watched with relish as the storm whipped Wong Dis rain dragon around the sky. The earl of the winds at the perimeter conducting the chaos around him. He was flanked on either side by a thunder beast. An Immense Ogre. Like monster with reverberating roars. That shook the ground in long caught in the wind current was continuing to dump rain onto Fong Army below. They had lost their way completely and could not see a thing. The battlefield had become a lake. Soldiers fought to keep their heads above the water. Gasping for air as waves crashed over them carrying them far from the battlefield. Chiyo smile at the scene before him. Victory was near. His father would be avenged soon. Chiyo looked up squinting to see through the rainstorm. His eyes widen as he noticed. Sparks of lightning jumping about amidst the rain. A small figure descended through the storm seemingly immune to the violent wins her eyes crackled with blinding blue energy. Lightning bolts shot out from her hands. Hot and violent lady Baugh had arrived. The moment lady Baas feet touched the surface of the lake. The water began to disappear. Her very feet appeared to dry it up. The lightning shot toward the sky and into his body jumped with `electricity and he jerked in the air. It was then that the rain stopped falling lady. Boss smiled and raised her arms. As the winds became hot as she took a step forward the battlefield became brittle and cracked devoid of moisture. The few soldiers that had not been swept away by the waves rose to their feet. She Yo stared in shock just moments ago. He'd faced certain victory and now his last trick had been thwarted watched as Lady Bah finally collapsed spent behind her Wong de appeared. His face was cold as he stared at Chiyo. A shiver ran up chiyo spine and then everything changed from the sky. Ing Long swooped down. Perhaps rain had not worked on Cheerios IOS army but he was still a dragon and is sharp talons and intimidating. Teeth were lethal enough that he could see his victims. He showed no mercy. He sunk his teeth into cheerios. Brothers used his tail to whip their heads from their necks. She'll urged his army forward. Kwong de watched them advance. In Long's return was an asset. But he would need to rally his troops if he was to have any chance against this onslaught he scans the battlefield. Singling out one of the Earl of wins thunder beasts. He drew his sword and sprinted up to the beast running it through in an instant the beasts roar was the last thing it uttered as it died quickly. Huangdi used his sword to skin the beast then he stretched the skin taught and pulled it over to large rocks placing the monster's head and throat beneath it. He had made a drum. Hong D beat the drum fervently as ing long kept the army back as best he could the sound echoed into the sky. Reverberating across the land then. He grinned as one of his faces. Saw Glimmer of hope in the distance his army had returned Wong. These army appeared over the hills flooding in from all directions. Though they'd been lost their fervor had not been dulled. They roared with passion as they crashed with cheerios army. For the last time she yo was frozen he looked at his brother's many massacred and in pieces from eating longs then. He looked at his God's wiped out by Lady Bar then he looked down at himself and knew he was no match for long. Di Chiyo slowly back to way from the battle and ran. He ran through the woods away from the screams of his men but in long had seen him go and he was already flying. Far Above waiting for a glimpse of the evil rebel. A gap in the trees reveal cheerios. Running form and in long swooped down grabbing the bull beast in his talons in long carried. Chiyo back to the battlefield. Hong de stood there before his army. The field lay strewn with bodies and Cheerios. Remaining brothers and soldiers knelt in defeat swords pointed at their necks as Chiyo saw seem. He began to panic before they had quite reached the ground. He began to plead with long. Let me go beast but please. Dragon quantity is no ruler. You serve a week master. You are a fool if you think he will listen to you and you are a fool if you think. I'm the only one that will stand against you and your rain. You are a pompous leader. This battle has taught me much. She Oh never again. Will I underestimate my enemy and always will I punish those? Who Flout the law. I have no more patience for insurrection. Blondie nodded two of his soldiers who fastened shackles to GEOS wrists. Then they pushed him down to kneel before Long D. Do you will hear my last before. Chiyo could say another thing. One D let. His sword fly. He watched as his enemies. Headless body body slumped back the blood running down his arms and onto the shackles. That bound him it was done. Wong de ordered cheerios body to be burned and his shackles. Thrown into the Wilderness. As they returned to his castle years later the place where the shackles had landed became a maple forest but not just any maple grove for its leaves were bright red forever stained with. Chey yots blood. As for Hong D he returned to his palace and was congratulated by his godly allies. Lady Baugh returned to the palace with him for drying the rain had depleted her of her powers and so she could not return to the heavens. She remained on earth roaming the north as she pleased. Well long stayed in the south. This is why the north is far more prone to drought Huangdi ruled for many years. Cheerios followers pledged their support to Hong de creating a land that was truly united for the first time in its existence though. He continued to levy severe punishments against wrongdoers. He devoted his life to growing Chinese culture. Because of his power and thoughtfulness China became a land of inventions from music to silk ships and carts writing and ingenious eating utensils. Juan de originated Chinese civilization. As we know it today could not only harness elemental powers. He imbued the people under his tutelage with a breadth of knowledge that has sustained to civilization for centuries. It's why he's celebrated as a pivotal figure in Chinese mythology. Though Chiyo is usually considered the story's villain he still worshiped throughout China as God of war for while he was defeated his anger and boldness reflects the spirit of those who find the bravery to question authority Wong. Dis victory is a demonstration of monarchy prevailing over rebellion painting Wong D. as a leader who must use force to restore order it serves as a reminder of the strength of the rule of the law and a warning to those who would seek to challenge it for while. Chiyo was emboldened by anger. Hong D learned from every mistake and came back stronger..

"When he came to. He was surprised to see his army standing. In the gloom around the tree they too had followed the goddesses light through the murky air only defined their leader asleep at the trees base. They looked at him grimly. This was not the same all seeing leader that they knew. He seemed vulnerable in his uncertainty. As Long Di stood he noticed that the golden cloth the goddess had shown him was now clasped in his hand. He smoothed out his lips turning upward in a smile when he saw what it contained. It was a drawing of a battle formation. The sketch showed troops assembled an octagon with an Arrow that pointed south. That was the way they had to go. But looking around in the dense fog Huangdi realized that he had no idea which way south was. A dozen soldiers suddenly emerged from the missed. Pushing a cart wouldn't figure stood at its centre with an arm raised as if pointing ahead as the cart moved the arm. Rotated DIS smiled. It was a compass sent by the goddess. He pushed it forward keeping an eye on the wooden compass figure as he moved south his troops followed in an octagon formation at his back as they moved forward. The fog began to dissipate soon. It cleared entirely and Wong de emerged onto the battlefields perimeter. Where she yo was celebrating with his brothers they had assumed victory when long. Di went into the fog and they were not prepared for his army to come roaring out of it. Wong de wasted. No time the element of surprise was a precious gift and he was not going to waste it. Wong de watched ready for his magic to take effect but where one fire was. Put out another brother. His hands full of flames took its place. He didn't WanNa have to do this but it was time long. Come to your master. As soon as he uttered the words a shadow fell across the battlefield. The fighting men paused to look up their faces full of awe as they beheld. What flew above them. It was a great flying serpent enormous and lean. This was eating you long. The Rain Dragon as he roared again. The reigns became more powerful. It drenched the fighters below turning the battlefield to mud. Gaze upon the power of the heavens unleashed has arrived while on. Dis faces smiled and she ios direction but the smiles faded a moment later when he saw she IOS amusement. I am pleased to see. You invited your little dragon to a war. These men pushing them back in long's rain which was aimed at she owes. Troops was pushed violently. The other way the rain pelted Wong and his men. This he realized was the work of the Earl of wins so some of the gods had joined she ios. 'cause things were worse than de had expected he squinted through the pelting rain searching the sky for his dragon. Long Stop You rain upon your own. But in long couldn't hear him he continued to pour rain from his mouth and hindquarters against his allies. The wind picked up. Even more and one dean is men found themselves trapped in a storms swirling vortex suddenly Wong deep-felt the wind lifting his body from the ground without warning he was thrown violently through the air coming up Huangdi struggles to regain his confidence after another earth shattering failure now back to the story. Emperor Hong D. was feeling hopeless. He was a powerful demi-god Emperor with thunderstorms and rain at his command. But he was being bested by a half bull demon named Chiyo and his rebel army after a D. Had called His Rain Dragon England. He thought victory was certain. Joe had another trick up his sleeve. He'd made an alliance with the Earl of the winds who had transformed in long's rain into a destructive storm was trapped in a vortex and whisked away to the very edges of his kingdom. Wong de landed on the ground with a sickening thud. He gasped for air as he staggered to his feet looking around. He discovered that there was not a single soldier or celestial comrade incite. He was alone. The Sky above him was clear but dark storm. Clouds were visible in the far off distance. He had traveled far from. The battlefield stared at the clouds full of self pity. He had used everything at his disposal. His magic his God allies his reign. Dragons and Still Chiyo. Yo had been one step ahead of him. Juan de was out of ideas or was he the Yellow. Emperor's is widened. There was one thing left in his arsenal. He realized one weapon. He had forgotton his daughter. Lady Baugh her daughter. Lady boss sat in the clouds lonely and gloomy watching all that went on below. She'd seen her father's repeated failures and each time waited for his call but each time she had been disappointed until finally she heard the distant echo of his voice daughter. Please I need your help lady. Baas heartbeat quickened. After all this time her father was calling for her. It would serve him right if she were to ignore him now but her curiosity soon got the best of her lady. Baden descended from the clouds landing in front of her father. Her arms were crossed and her eyes were narrowed in suspicion daughter. It has been a long time. What do you want you sit up there in the heavens looking down? You rarely leave your post. "Despite this formidable image Hong Dis legend has been the source of some debate while some view him as a mythical figure and the earthly form of the Supreme Deity. Shandy others believed that long. Di was a man a sage king with historical significance who established Chinese civilization through wisdom and ideals over his hundred year reign but most agree that his enlightened way of ruling became a pillar of Chinese culture in addition to uniting the previously warring tribes of ancient China. He's credited with creating the country's earliest writing systems and systems of governance. The Legend of his birth certainly imbues him with more fantastical origins. It said that he was born from a young woman named Fu Bao one day. She was struck by lightning and became pregnant. The young Fubo grew Yang di in her belly for twenty five months before bringing him into the world part. Human and part lightning God Wong only sees all but commands thunder and the Rain Dragon Ing Long. The Huangdi was engaged in many battles. He's depicted as fighting only to prevent disorder. His wars are seen as righteous a necessary evil to defeating those who would lead China back into a state of chaos one. Such adversary was Chiyo described as a man with the head of a bull. Chiyo possesses a lethal combination of desires. A lust for revenge matched only by a craving for disorder. Sweat beaded Cheerios IOS wide. Brow as he stared into the glowing forge years had passed since his father's execution at the hands of Hong D. With his anger still burned as bright as the fire. Raging before him around him. His eighty brothers were hard at work in the makeshift forge. They thrust sheets of metal into the red hot coals and hammered them into long wicked blades but the weapons. Pale next to those who made it for Cheerios. Many brothers were no mere men. They stood over seven feet. Tall with four is six arms and heads plated with steel they were monstrous and their hearts carried embers of the same rage that blazed within their leader together with Chiyo. They'd spent years crafting weapons in the night. On the fringes of Emperor Hong Kingdom. They built an army from the ghosts and spirits of the mountain and forests. All the creatures of chaos had agreed to follow the bull headed Chiyo in rebellion against Hong D. One of brothers handed him a finished. Sword Gio took it gingerly admiring it's sharp blade and unusual copper glow. He closed his eyes remembering when he was a small boy and his father had given him his very first sword. Did you know even then father that it would fall to me to avenge you cheerios. Hand wrapped around the swords grip feeling. It's weight he was done lurking in the shadows. It was time for war in one these palace. The air was filled with tension. Long Di sat on his throne. His trusted general stood before him at the head of a group of elders. They were worried. Chiyo and his brothers had been raiding. The lands villages pillaging homes and destroying crops. Tales of the bullheaded. Man's ruthlessness had sent chills up their spines and now they stood in front of their emperor waiting for his plan of action. Quang did not seem to share their concern. He drank from Chalice as he considered their options. There is no need to be drawn into war so quickly. In truth we could crush this rebellion in moments. But that would be unkind. Let us I negotiate. Full of mercy. These days cries of protest filled. The air quality held up a hand to silence the elders enough. Do you think my is to the south. Have seen what she. Oh does. His petulant pillaging is hardly caused for a long. He is a spurned child. Crying out for attention if she oh demands war then I will give it to him but let us I try peace and avoid a certain massacre shall we not all of these faces turned towards his council pointedly. His eight is stared at the elders until one by one. They nodded their assent the very next day. Hong de called upon his allies the gods of the North South East and West. They flocked to him in waves eager to help their half brother in his battle but there was one invitation. He'd forgotten his daughter. Lady Baugh lived in the heavens above Hong these kingdom was bald and her face was often pinched in a bitter expression. She had power over lightning and could create dry landscapes and desert heat storms wherever she walked drought and hardship followed and so her father. Wong D. had forbidden her entry to Earth and now she watched as he called the other more useful. God's to his assistance they gathered into an immense army below preparing for war without her. She was not surprised. Her father had never found a use for her before and she doubted he ever would once. His army was assembled. Kwong de opened his four sets of eyes and skinned his kingdom. He saw Chiyo in the middle of a field in a place called Zorlu at his back. His lethal brothers loomed on the horizon along with a small army behind them long. Di Smiled at the army's pitiful size. This would be easy only hours later Wong D. And HIS ARMY ROTAS WILL LOU to meet. Chiyo fearlessly one de Strode into the field to greet his enemy as the two men met at the Field Center. Chiyo spoke I his voice dripping with anguish. I see you got my message. Emperor she yo let us not Belabor this what is it you want Land Coin War war you may as well have said death you understand your small army cannot possibly withstand my forces so you say you started this war when you killed my father The truth it is revenge you seek. You will find that anger and war. Make makeup poor leader. My boy do not call me boy. War is the old way knowledge art and learning. Have United these lands? If you could only look past your anger you and your brothers could find peace in this ordered world. I would welcome you with open arms. You have become sought since your last battle eager to return to your life of leisure. I intend to make you work before you die old man just as you forced my father to. I will break your ordered world before John. D. Could Respond Chee. Oh strode back to his army with his head held high Huangdi side. Frustrated by the bullheaded. Man's anger he hoped. This would not take long. Not a day later stood across a field facing IOS army. He smiled surprised that he'd forgotten how much he enjoyed the anticipation of battle. Now that there was much thrill in this he had gods of the North South East and west at his disposal as well as warriors from across China. Cheerios shabby army would give them little trouble. Both sides waited for a signal. Chiyo smiled at Wong. These hesitation he would show this emperor. What strength was with Cheerios cry? His rebel army rushed forward while the watched them come. He turned all of his foreheads toward the battle giving it his full attention and then he charged the two sides met in the middle with violent sent fervor cries of war and dying filled the air before long. It was clear that Wong D. had been right. Cheerios army was no match for the Gods and trained soldiers. That Wong D. had assembled as Wong d watched the struggling enemies with pride. He offered Chiyo a chance. She Oh pullback and I will spare your life and that of all your men who told you that this was all of my man. Hong Dis confident demeanor. Faded to confusion as Chiyo produced a red flag from his garments. He waved it high in the air. Before throwing it down to the Earth a dust storm exploded across the field blowing into these army. With incredible strength many of them knocked from their feet and sent tumbling head over. Heels backward. Wong stood his ground squinting through the sand. His four faces looked in all directions but all he could see was the silhouettes of his own men.

Expelled Recording Academy CEO Says Grammy Voting Process Is Corrupt

"Just days before the Grammy awards are set to air up right here on CBS the recently suspended CEO of the recording academy is making some very explosive claims in a forty six page discrimination complaint Debra Dylan says she's being retaliated against for reporting misconduct including what she calls corrupt voting practices and a rape allegation very serious stuff Dugan started the job just six months ago Jamie you causes in Los Angeles with more on the story Jamie this is a big bombshell how's the economy responding it absolutely is scale in a statement the academy is going after their CEOs credibility calling it quote curious that miss do get never raise these grave allegations until a week after legal claims were made against her personally hi everyone I'm never do again two months after Dever Dugan help unveiled this year's Grammy nominations she's pulling back the curtain on what she calls a boys club that puts their financial interests above the academy's mission in the X. Huang is Rolling Stone senior music business editor says a lot basically that says the economy this represented itself to the public to its voting members and also to her when she came in some of Dugan's most damning claims involve former CEO Neil Portnow who was criticized for comments he made in twenty eighteen about the lack of female winners saying women who want a bigger role in the music industry need to do one thing to step up he later apologized in the complaint Dugan says she learned of foreign recording artist Hey cues Mr Portnow of raping her following a performance that you gave at Carnegie Hall this is the first time that anyone in the in the media has read or seen any allegations about this particular incident you can bet that that's going to cast a pretty big shadow over the recording academy for days if not weeks or months to come the complaint also includes an email do you consent to human resources and what she alleges she was sexually harassed by the academy's general counsel Joel Katz in a statement his attorney tells deadline Mr can't categorically and emphatically denies her version of that evening the academy also put out a statement saying Dugan's claims come only after a female employee alleged ms Dugan had created a toxic and intolerable work environment and engaged in abusive and bowling conduct it says it immediately launched investigations into both her allegations and her alleged misconduct and that she was placed on administrative leave only after offering to step down and demanding twenty two million dollars Dugan's lawyers refuted that claim Tuesday saying it was the academy that offer Dugan millions of dollars to drop her allegations and leave it seems pretty clear that the relationship between Deborah do again and the recording academy is fraying right now and there's no putting it back together in an easy way Dugan further alleges the Grammy voting process is white with corruption saying that the board uses secret committees to push forward artists with whom they have relationships she says this year thirty artists that were not selected by the twelve thousand voting members were added to the possible nomination list and if she's right about that then that's something I'll have resonance far beyond just this year's Grammys alone now for now has not returned a request for comment in its statement the academy says its loyalty belongs to its members and regrets that music's biggest night is being stolen from them by miss Dugan's actions they say they're working to resolve the matter as quickly as

Delivering TB vaccine intravenously dramatically improves potency, study shows
