"howard rosen" Discussed on Chad Ford's NBA Big Board

"Know of those three teams. I mean portland. Obviously has the most pressure. Because damian lillard is you know could could ask for trade at any moment. And i think right now. I'm not sure there a playoff team. And if they are. They're a bubble playoff team. Where do you see that. The biggest dissonance between expectations of where this team needs to go in the reality of sort of what happened. This summer will a portland now is under. The clock is ticking and damian lillard of late he got married. He went to the olympics. He's put out another album so if he's been focused on other things and his contentment has kind of been pushed to the side for the moment. But as soon as this team gets together. And the media's deal with them every day this is going to be a daily topic. People are going to be trying to take his temperature on a daily basis and things start bad with a first year coach in chauncey billups. It could get you know very uncomfortable in portland. A huge larry nance fan. And when you talk to people around the league they will tell you what a highly rated and versatile defensive player. He is so he does have the chance to help portland more than it appears. Because that's that really didn't wasn't classified as a blockbuster. But i do think that was a very good move after a summer of absolutely nothing until they made the nance move so so so to me. All eyes are kind of important. Dallas has bought itself sometime it. You'll luca danni Just signed a five-year contract extension. That's worth more than two hundred million so that clock will start ticking far sooner than five years but in the short term you know. The mass have a whole new front office in a whole new coaching staff. With jason kidd coming in. So i think there will be at least some sort of honeymoon. I don't know exactly. How long is all these new key. Figures get used to each other. But you're you're absolutely right. I mean dallas had big ambitions in free agency. They wanted to get kyle lowry. They thought lowry would be an ideal fit next deluca given his defense leadership being an old head the way and still shoot it lowry. They thought was ideal. Lowery went to miami forced his way there in a sign and trade and dallas's moves have also been just of the around the edges variety bringing in reggie bullock. I reported this week that they're close to signing frank ntilikina. That should happen but the mavs have not been able to make the splashy move and really. They're splashing move is going to have to be. Can they get kristaps porzingis. Back to the level he was playing at in the walt disneyworld bubble before he he sustained the second major knee injury of his career and then new orleans. You know i'm with you. I mean they had an absolutely baffling summer than the idea that zion now entering year three and it would be a surprise if the pelicans made the playoffs mean to think that zion's gonna go three years likely without tasting the playoffs I don't know that they're you know outside of portland in philly. I don't think there's a front office in this league. You know under the microscope. Like the pelicans office all right. Let's recap marks eleven through twenty s. Got the knicks at eleven. The warriors at twelve mavericks at thirteen celtics at fourteen chicago bulls at fifteen. We should probably talk about that. Grizzlies at sixteen indiana pacers at seventeen blazers eighteen at charlotte hornets at one thousand. Nine hundred raptors at twenty. I did not. I think the the bulls are one of the teams that i have a hard time with. I ended up having them at twenty. You have them at fifteen talked to me about this this bull's team i i'm. I'm skeptical that they're going to mesh all this stuff together love the lonzo ball signing that probably was where i'd like them the best but i i i absolutely i had the pacers ahead of them and and the hornets ahead of them. as teams in the east. I think you have below below the chicago bulls if for those who have actually read my rankings. I am openly in the piece. Poking fun at myself or my inconsistencies I give the bowl. Like i'm i have as many fit questions about the bulls as you as i have about the lakers but to me i gave the bulls bonus points In all our years together how many times do we chase bowls trade chatter. That went nowhere. I'm in this team. Has for years and years and years been known for an action indecisiveness and this summer they went all in and we can certainly question. Did they go all in on the right. Guys howard rosen. Levin gonna play. Well together i mean. I think caruso was a good addition. Like you said lonzo ball. He's a point guard but not a high usage guys you would think he n levin mesh but how does derozen work there. They've spent all that you know. They made the trade march. They've spent all this money. They're locked into these guys but my kind of again being committee of one. I can do irrational things that i don't really have to defend and this is kind of one of them. I put the bulls at fifteen purely. Because i thought it was great that they finally started doing doing some aggressive stuff. Now if it if the fit issues manifest themselves we got plenty of time to second guess them and drop them into the twenties and and you put them under the microscope. But i got. I got swept up in the moment. Well i i really liked your reaction. When i said the bulls were twenty. I think you'll like almost like spit out. Water There for a minute look. I think that's a very reasonable. Take on the bulls that they were very aggressive Really since the trade deadline right at the trade deadline and through the summer they've been very aggressive. Remaking this team. I look at it and think that they remade the team into a perennial eight the tenth seed a team in the in the derozen contract to me i think is also souring so much of this like it was one of the most. Massive overpays That that i can think of. He had no market to get anywhere close to that from what he got from the bull. So it's truly. That is puzzling. No quite an and look if you're right and An and if my bulls optimism is quickly washed away. I mean it's not going to be easy to make fixes. Because they've got some contracts that are not going to be easy to move. The and that's i think and then some of its betting that. The zach levine. That we saw last year is going to consistent. Be the b. That zach levine. He's going to mess with all these people. I just have so many questions about this bull's team but that was the thing i mean going. All in on the rosen. I get it if you're the brooklyn nets. And he's the final piece that you think is gonna put you over the top for a championship in you overpay because hey we're going to be a championship contender but to do that. And lock yourself into a printable. Eight to ten seed or seven the tenth seed in the eastern conference it that that just makes it all the worse for me and so some of that i also think is sort of my bias against up. Gets the long term future the bowls. And maybe maybe. I should say the bulls are going to be better than the hornets. Or maybe they're going to be better than the pacers and next season..

damian lillard portland bulls larry nance luca danni lowry reggie bullock frank ntilikina zion thirteen celtics chauncey billups dallas kyle lowry jason kidd deluca Lowery olympics howard rosen charlotte hornets mavs

"He the way he said it the way he sort of then framed. It was that like not his decision to make whether he keeps his job or not. But i think the the actual first part of that answer where he said. I'm not worried about my job. Was really the the reality of the situation. And actually is what he meant when he answered that he kind of changed his answer mid-course but clearly as you mentioned like he is not going anywhere anytime soon no matter how poorly he continues to perform maybe has an ownership equity stake already knows. That's the nightmare. I mean he might as well in terms of like functionally like i think. You're absolutely right dan. And actually only give. Howard rosen credit for something. He's done a very good job of like building this relation. yeah making himself invulnerable irks. Credit is a very. it's a. it's a big time skill for him for sure it is an and i think you know how he is not useless. Use mood when it comes to this kind of stuff. So and i think that's manifested itself in the past in terms of really good trades. He's made in things like so now. Not trying to totally demonize. How here a very strange course of action for me. 'cause i usually do but Yeah i think though to go back to the negative. It's so hard for me to almost even care about this eagles coaching search. Because it's just i feel like this franchise is ultimately spinning wheel. Cyclical as money one way. I think it's to say it's really just like what level of competence are. You gonna have that howie. Roseman is going to be first of all be attract the right guy. Because that's been an issue in the past ben mcadoo. They couldn't even higher and had to settle for doug. And it's like who are they going to hire now. Are they really going to be able to attract here and then also what level of confidence do you have that that guy's the last and it's not going to be the same thing in years down the road where there's another power struggle every time. The harassment has been involved here as general manager. There's always been a power struggle. Basically it's like. Larry chose a how over. Andy chose hourly over chip. Ultimately larry toes how he overdubbed. Like how do you come in the next head coach and feel good about that like i just think it's such a dangerous dynamic in that sense i think it's i don't think it's good to have a gm who is just the extension of the owner like just have a yes. Man really I don't think that's good. For the health of the franchise all right. So what else can we get to here before we go to break from the press go new new talking point the final four teams in the two thousand seventeen playoffs are all bad now and by those four teams we're talking about any also included atlanta in that too would super bowl the year before but the final four teams the role of course eagles vikings the patriots in jaguars. They're all bad now. So it's points crack afford with theater are certainly bad now. But like that's not a reason for you know your franchise does not. It's not an excuse for your franchise to be quite trump. Won another super bowl after that right. I'll say chair yes Jaguars are certainly been horrible. Since biking's last year certainly in better shape than right now so that point was a little bit ridiculous and then you have a lesser. Gripe here but he said caps base. Actually this is a very condescending. Cap room is a one year phenomena in this league. Anyone who really understands the cap knows that you can transition away from difficult cap situation at about twelve months end quote. Here's what i'm studying right. Like twenty twenty two they have. I think there's only one team that has more money committed to that cap than the eagles and and they're going to have more because there was the for where Alshon jeffery and me jackson had their contracts restructured in a way. That's going to allow them to june. I cut them And a lot of money from that cut is gonna get dumped into twenty twenty two. They're they're gonna have the lowest amount of cap space in that year once that happens. And then you have the contract and so on and so forth as we mentioned earlier. They're gonna have to restructure guys like brandon. Graham may be darius slay. Maybe a couple of others that money's gonna get dumped in twenty twenty to see the idea that they're capitals are going to be over after twenty twenty one own sets and then i'll you guys get this one but my favorite quote of the press conference was the nate sud failed on what he throws. The best deep on the roster is what he said he literally said yes. Nineteen of twenty three four record on that was it. Consecutive completions or something least percentage for the first time starting quarterback yes. I almost had an aneurysm listening to that easy. I mean you know. He came in prepared with that. A you asked about and they lost that game six. Nothing matter literally didn't matter and he was. I think my only during image of that is him throwing like a really bad pick or something. I don't know if he did. Maybe he didn't. But i don't even know if i watched that game. But like he was he was he wasn't bad in that game he didn't matter himself in any way. But there's certainly nothing. Zero wins for one hundred thirty one hundred thirty seven hundred forty. Something yards is definitely under one fifty on those twenty three baths attempts by unstoppable. And i think he is. Susie said unstoppable. I think like you can made a face like a thousand dollars. All right and then finally.

"And I think he's GonNa get mad and go somewhere else a we did we ever mentioned Rick Miller by the way also one of the cuts. Also, you know sort of the a mistake by by the front office using a fourth round pick in the two thousand, nineteen draft for him. Invisible in the last two camps in that invisible of course, during the regular season as well. So. What do you think I? Think he's sticks in practice water he goes somewhere else. I mean maybe Joe Douglas really likes him new the jets take about or Andrew Berry. No these guys in theory. I could see that and the other thing with Miller as I brought up before like how he said that year was loaded at defensive line and it was yeah yeah. Got It and you got a guy who didn't play a single defensive snap for you and this is two years after you got to opry in a class that was loaded at running back self proclaimed by Howard Rosen and even play a snap in the NFL ever at so like now how he's tell his credit, he did say this year he didn't want they wide receiver class star and the receivers are looking good so far maybe he's learned is less but Not The vessel for him cut down day. No Jones Douglas these guys getting like the not the not the best optics there. Didn't he say the now I think he did say the wide receiver class had the potential to be historic kidney. I. Thought he cautioned against that. Probably I don't want to say that 'cause he knows how. I am. That's why any final thoughts. Yeah. Let's go sharieff Miller. Leftover Girardi. Maybe, he gets cut on comes back to squad. And Let's go. Marcus APPs he's not getting cut but yeah, I've come in second place in stupid thing like already three times and I'm pretty sure it's going to happen for a fourth time. So unlike like the buffalo bills of the fifty three man. Eagles beat competition. The nineteen ninety s buffalo bills that is not the more recent buffalo bills. The one I'd want the the ones that lost in the super bowl every year this has been bgn radio. So forty five more coverage to you I don't know what a look like but obviously, no practice squad being formed again I'm Sunday September six. Listening to this. "Talk radio Howard Rosen is an author attorney and expert an offshore asset protection planning he's an eighty V. related attorney and CPA we'll find out what that means he was an adjunct professor and lecturer at a loss for twenty years at the university of Miami school of law and is frequently a guest speaker and programs like ours plus the Bar Association and professional organizations on the topic of asset protection planning which is a complete mystery to me so I'm just like my audience today I know nothing about this Howard welcome to the program. can you hear me. I can hear you now welcome to the program thank you very much. and I should mention your book is entitled asset protection a guide for professionals so what if you're if you start at the very top what's the thing that most people clients readers of your book that don't understand about asset protection planning you know at large so to speak. well a lot of people think that it may not be legal to to asset protection planning and and and nothing could be further from the truth if and I underscore and italicized if if it's done properly by an experienced professional. when we talk about offshore asset protection you're exactly right what comes to mind is hiding assets. "We're back covering the most forte job interview of all time. Live twenty nineteen NFL scouting combine. Let's see who Florio lakes. Nick foles is going to waltz, right? Into free agency the Philadelphia Eagles. Here's what happened. We had Howard Rosen on the program yesterday. We played some of it are in the shop. They tried to trade him. They tried to set up the tag and trae they knew it wasn't gonna work. So now, they're they're doing the right thing making it known to the world, they're not going to tag. And if they thought they could've traded him. They would have tagged traded. And also, they don't want a lot the money to the franchise tag or anything like that. Right. Because they are one of the teams that are in kind of dire straits salary cap. If you know, you're not gonna be able to trade him and the franchise tag, he signs it back up. Exactly, right. Okay. So what we're gonna do? Yes, falls is now in the pool, and there are other. These are the best quarterbacks for twenty nine nine who are available free only twenty nine to future. Right, right. So we're gonna we're not flipping a corn. We're gonna rock paper, rock scissors. Rock paper, scissors. Are you going to be able to scissors paper rock? I choose everybody here. It's rock paper scissors listened rock head. Okay, one. We'll get Ron Davis is shoot. I got the first choice for one year. I gotta go. Nick foles we've seen what Nick foles can do we've seen how he can capture. Magic lightning in a bottle. And we've also seen what happens when he was with the Rams I'm willing to take that chance though, because I think we've seen enough of what you need to do to coach Nick foles offense you need. You can't jam him into a tough spot. And look was the Rams it was all due respect. I love Jeff Fisher but Jared Goff. They. Defensively challenge. Rams with Jeff Fisher. Case keenum was a quarterback of the Rams with Jeff Fisher. I'll I'll call that the fluke and I'll say that eagles 2013 eagles 2017 eagles twenty eighteen. I'll find a way to get that out of Nick foles. Give me if it's one year, Nick foles. No brain. Yeah. I get that. That's probably would have been my first pick. Well, I can't believe you went with scissors their damn it. I'm really disappointed. But either way he is he's a proven commodity, and he's been in a lot of big time situations and pay off football in the Super Bowl. I mean, come on outduel the Tom Brady late in the fourth quarter Super Bowl fifty two. So that I mean, that's a pretty good health on the horse as they would say, I just realized why you want with paper because we were talking about rocks. And I thought you were going to do it. Now. I never okay going with Murray. That's going to be the my my pick. I don't care. I don't give a damn that. He's a rookie quarterback. I always had crap. Ways to but Cuyler Murray Murray. Yes for me is the number one quarterback in the draft. And now is not going to change. There is he's electric. He is, you know, I know only a one year starter at Oklahoma. And that's certainly going to be used against me or against him even coming out in the draft process. But I think he's a natural thrower the football. He's a phenomenal like a generational type athlete at the quarterback position. Did I mean really checks every box as far as mechanics in the pocket vision down the field proper decisions going through reads. So it's a new day and age I'm not as scared for these rookie quarterback's anymore. They've gotten so many rats with the camps in seven on seven and high school football. They're throwing it forty five times a game all of that. That's why I'm gonna go caller Murray. And yeah, I'm a big believer in drafting a gone wrong. And right in the Browns should have done it last sheriff Baker Mayfield. I am a firm believer. The way to go. And look I obviously if it was more than one year calories the guy for one year and one year only Eileen falls, you agree, but I have gone with. You Murray would have been my second choice. All right. My next one. This is difficult. It's difficult. Yeah. I'm a case keenum. Gotcha. I think if you put case keenum in the right situation you understand what he can do. Well, understand what he doesn't do. Well, you can get a lot out of a case keenum, and I still remember we'd break down the highlights of of him getting out of the pocket. He'd reset looked down the field. He instinctively knew when the pressure was coming this the year in Minnesota run. Again, find a guy wide open. He really helped fuel that team to go thirteen and three is no small feat. And he had a lot to do with that last year in Denver had his moments. You know, I think the the coaching staff and the different, and they they they have their system, and they try to jam the guy into the system. I'm a firm believer in taking what the guy is. And putting the best system around him. And I think I could make some hay with case keenum with the right system. Yes. A suit his strengths. Yes. Certainly, I I I don't I'm not against you there. I'm not sure if I would have gone, case keenum, totally with this. But yes, everything you said does make sense. I mean, yeah, he's not going to be a franchise superstar quarterback. But again, another guy who we've seen in some big situations. Two years ago with your Minnesota Vikings. He's bad. Tested. He seemed different offensive systems and schemes. So I understand that. It's not a horrible pick by you. Okay. So what's your next pick smart guy? I know my next pick. I'm not sure if I want to go with one of these rookies or another proven commodity, but you know, what I'm going to go with talent. I'm just gonna go with the talent. I'm going with drew lock. Okay. They quarterback from zuri. And I know that might sound crazy out there. But I this drew lock kid is impressive to me. When I watch him on film. He really is. He can really throw the ball. Here's a special arm is what I'm going to say. I mean, it's a Patrick Mahomes. Baker Mayfield ish titled arm. I'm not going to say Patrick Mahomes 'cause that's an another level. That's another stratosphere. That's like Aaron Rodgers John Elway, but still a special arm. What we're saying about homes. It's all accurate is after a year ago. We wouldn't have been saying, no, he gave us the visual evidence of the things we thought he could be now we've seen it and we go. Oh, yes. Okay. But drew lock big quarterbacks. Had a lot of experience playing in the SEC. I hear people talking about oh gosh. You know, they didn't win a lot of big games this year. Well, he was Missouri in the SEC. They're not the greatest coach football team. I've seen they were the lesser talented team on the football field more times than not. So that's why I'm going to go with him. Because I do think he's got enough reps. He's very good in the pocket. Another guy that hey, one knock on this lock guide. I know you, and I are going to talk about him a lot. He can take. He can make a dumb interception or a dumb decision. Maybe once a game. But I think those are things that can be coached out of a player. And when you're on a team like Missouri where you're the lesser team on the field more times than not. And you don't have the defense that's gonna stop and make it a low scoring game. When your offense isn't working you're forced to maybe force the issue at throwing the ball making some. Risky decisions at time. But I really liked you lock. Yeah. And we're going to hear a lot more about him as we get closer and closer to the draft who have his workout at the combine start to maybe wake up to him because it's all been Murray and Haskins suicide extent losses, right? And the the Broncos a team that I thought maybe that that's the direct sharing about going. And maybe they still can maybe it's Joe flacco for a year or two, and then locking lock is one of those out of those three or out of the big three that I'm going to call with Murray Haskins lock lock is the only one that's played more than one year. You know, that's the other thing that's going to be a knock on Haskins and Murray as well. You know, they've only got one year in college football. And I understand that argument. I certainly do reps matter, you know, just being back beneath or underneath the center behind the center and getting a feel for defenses and managing situations that is important. And that's where lock has a little bit of advantage over the other two guys. I got one that's going to blow your mind that you have any baby you've really whiffed because this should have been your second round pick. Yeah. Are you ready? Are you sitting down? Ryan fitzpatrick. Nick for one year one year and one year only gimme ripe, you I've had better know. Oh, yeah. One year. Oh, what he did last? All right. He got benched. Jameis Winston was back. Didn't know what to do with at that point fit for one year of the guy's available. Yes. I got Fitzpatrick. Okay. I almost made him the second round pick. But I played the odds there that you wouldn't take. Well, I yeah. I I wouldn't have picked Ryan Fitzpatrick. So don't worry. Brian Kitts patch? No, I didn't even write him down my short list here. So I yes, yes. I can understand your thought process with the Ryan Fitzpatrick he certainly going to be able to understand any offense. And he gives you some veteran leadership, and he's been in a lot of different situations. But the one thing I'll say about Ryan Ryan Fitzpatrick for being the veteran guy everything you want him to be. He's about as careless with the football is anybody we've seen too. I and I think that sometimes gets like a swiped under the rug because he went to Harvard and he's smart. So we're just not going to talk about the dumb interceptions. He throws all the time. So that's one thing. I would push back there. Okay. Ooh, it's really down to Ed Haskins or a tyrod Taylor to me here this it's one of those two and we forgotten about tyrod. Tyler was on my short list. I want Fitzpatrick over tyrod Taylor. But he was the week one start the Cleveland Browns. He he was the guy and he got injured. And now we just forgotten about I know and he can manage certain situations. Like I look at him as a Jacksonville type of guy. But at the end of the day, again, I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go with Dwayne Haskins from Ohio State. I just can't pull the trigger on rookies. Man, going all rookies. Well, I thought I was going to win. The rocks, paper scissors and get Nick foles the start. But yeah, I am rock scissors paper. Shut up. But either way I am going with Dwayne Haskins Dwayne Haskins a big strong quarterback. I mean, he's almost like a Big Ben Rothlisberger back there. A little raw certainly going to have some things mechanically that he needs to correct. But you're talking about another guy with some major pop and his arm and played in some big moments. And I know it's only been one year of college football. But from what I saw from the start of the year last year to the end of the year. It really gave me believe that you know, this kid's only gonna get better. He's just scratching the surface of what he could possibly be early season. Hey, yeah. He was getting used to playing quarterback for Ohio State and and getting used to play in college football. But by the end of the season when they're playing northwestern and the big ten championship game or Washington in the Rose Bowl, Mike, man. He made a lot of big time throws in some tight windows and not a very creative pass friendly offense. And that's why that's why I go there. Do you think both guys go top ten Haskins and Murray, I really I will say this. I think all three are going to go top fifteen. I really do. I wouldn't be shocked. If all three went top ten when all said and done how many first round quarterback coach over under right now. Somebody's gonna creep in thirty. Yeah. I it is is it going to be the big thing will be somebody at thirty to go with the, you know, the the kid from Duke Daniel Jones Jones is at my blanking on his name. Either way the kid from Duke he's in that conversation. You know, doesn't Auburn Steadham? Getting that conversation does a wheel will Greer? I am going to say it's four. But I don't feel comfortable that I can guarantee it'll be the three. I'm just not sure it's gonna take something like you're saying somebody trading up late into the first round. Or maybe a New England takes the kid from Duke. And makes that guy, you know, maybe the heir-apparent to a Tom Brady. That's the thing. There isn't an overabundance of teams looking for starting quarterback right now. But there are plenty of teams that have older guys that need to be thinking about the replacement, and that's where it potentially could be. You know, I'd say three and a half is the over under for quarterbacks in round one at this point. All right. Quick break. One return. A good, buddy. Paul Burmeister is here. We'll wrap up this Thursday edition of pro football talk live from Indianapolis the scouting combine with PFC life continued up very nice..

"Radio. Howard Rosen is an author attorney an expert in offshore asset protection planning. He's an av related attorney and CPA. We'll find out what that means. He was an adjunct professor and lecturer as law for twenty years at the university of Miami school of law, and is frequently a guest speaker and programs like ours, plus the bar association and professional organizations on the topic of asset protection planning, which is a complete mystery to me. So I'm just like my audience today. I know nothing about this. Howard, welcome to the program. Can you hear me? I can hear you now. Welcome to the program. Thank you very much. And I should mention your book is entitled asset protection a guide for professionals. So what if they start at the very top? What's the thing that most people clients readers of your book don't understand about asset protection planning at large speak? Well, a lot of people think that it may not be legal to do asset protection planning. And and nothing could be further from the truth. If and I underscore, and I tell us is if if it's done properly by inexperienced professional. When we talk about offshore asset protection. You're exactly right. What comes to mind is hiding assets nefarious Lee and willfully in a bad way from their treatment of taxes against those assets. Right. So that's correct. So how how do we approach this subject? So we set it right for folks. Obviously, there's a lot that goes into this to structure it, right? Correct. We make sure that our clients understand from the very first telephone call that our structures our tax neutral. And by that we mean that their income tax picture in the United States does not change as a result of implementing this type of planning whatever they were paying tax on before they will continue to pay tax on with our structure. So if they balk when we tell them that they're probably not going to become a client of ours. Because that's not what we're not looking to get in trouble or get anybody in trouble. So we make sure that our clients understand this fully tax compliant with the United States tax laws for the purposes of illustration is there could you illustrate a scenario whereby you would be able to implement a plan for legal and ethical taxation or asset protection. I should say. Well. We have a variety of clients who come to us for a variety of reasons, very often, it's a business person. And the smart one will will maybe see that one of his or her friends was sued and lost everything in a lawsuit and realized that it could happen to them. So they come to us and we establish an offshore trust. Because trust have been used in our legal system for about a thousand years to protect assets than part is not new the way we do today is, of course, different than it was it was a thousand years ago. So they come to us. We set up an asset protection trust we utilize jurisdiction which has laws which are very favorable to the protection of assets in those trusts. Okay. So you structure the trust is the legal entity. In other words that that's the core. Go ahead. You're you're gonna continue please. And that trust will usually also contain. In fact, always also contain the clients core estate planning provisions such as what happens when they die. Just a coke to the children's go to charities the spouse. What what have you the normal estate planning provisions would be included in the asset protection trust? In addition. Typically, the the trust is set up in the Cook Islands, which is a country in the South Pacific, which has very very favourable asset protection trust laws, but the trust will open and hold its financial accounts cash and securities usually in a Swiss financial institution that's been around for a couple of hundred years. Interesting. Big picture. That's the big. That's that's that's amazing for those of us are familiar with these. Structures. It's a lot to take in. What happens in terms of the jurisdiction is benefit to them. To to the to the cook. I cook the Cook Islands in this instance. Yeah, this business rep this offshore trust business. Started in the Cook Islands in one thousand nine hundred eighty four and has an today probably represents about eleven percent of their gross national product for that little country, and by little I mean, the total population might be fourteen fifteen thousand people spread out over fifteen islands in the South Pacific. How fascinating. Let me say this the the I've been doing trust for the entire time identity lawyer, which is forty two years and for the last twenty five years, I've only been doing Cook Islands trust. But I will tell you that in all of my years of doing trust. I've never dealt with more professional responsible and responsive trustee companies than the ones in the Cook Islands bar. None. That's that's that's remarkable. Howard is is you structure these and work with clients are the assets. Typically, how do I asked the question are they cash generating assets. Or are they more static in nature? Give us examples of some of the types of assets that go into these trusts if that's possible to do. Sure. Sure. Well, speaking about liquid assets, which is cash and marketable securities. The client's trust can hold anything from just cash or can have US securities just like you. And I might have it at a local brokerage firm. It can have foreign securities which you can't buy in the United States except through American depository receipts. Which is. It's not a an economically feasible way to buy foreign security. So you can actually gain an advantage investment wise by using the offshore trust typical and the offshore trust can hold gold bullion in a fault in an account in the name of the trust. So the investment horizon is much broader than what you as a US resident could obtain. Okay. That's fascinating. Very very interesting subject, and it obviously runs very deep. You are the experts in the field, and I should say the website is triple W data, protect you dot com. You can also reach Howard's firm at eight hundred four one seven seven one three four four one seven seven one three four as we wind up. This segment we've got about a minute left or so Howard anything else that we didn't cover on this short sort of teaser segment about asset protection that you'd like to highlight. Sure, I'll throw in real quick that to protect real estate. We've developed answer Larry strategies where we stripped out the equity from the real estate. We have lenders offshore which loan our clients about ninety five percent of the equity in the real estate and the loan money, then goes into the clients offshore trust and the real estate left here in the United States is as they say mortgage to the health and Josh not attractive to a creditor. That's massive way..

"They could wait. Although I think you know, weightings kind of silly because the price is only going to go up. So you'll learn a tight cap situation. Obviously moving forward, you feel good about them navigating that of course, because Howard Rosen always finds a way to do that. But still I mean, I think the draft picks are going to be a big part of that moving forward. You're your need that cheap inexpensive team controlled talent there as opposed to acquiring someone that deadline who has this big cap it. And so I don't mean you're taking on that money. But then they're giving away something that could save you money in the future. So it's you have to consider both things there. I still think the eagles probably I don't think he wants to give up anything more than say like a fourth round pick at the deadline here. I think anything too much higher than that. Is in like, it's probably too rich for his blood unless it's like a no brainer. Like, if you're trading you'd think he offered a second rounder for Amari Cooper, which was the rumor. I I think there's some credence to that. I mean, it's not impossible to imagine. Just because they have the two seconds next year, and Amari Cooper is only what twenty four years old. Yeah, he's young and they could easily feel like this guy. You know has a good trajectory, and maybe they were super high on him coming out of the draft. So I think that's I think that's possible. I you know, I I am a little hesitant is because Mike silver questionable. Maybe track record a little bit there. And and this is very rich for two choir a player like that who is going to have like thirteen point nine Ryan cap it next year on his fifth year option. So they would pretty much have to extend them too. So I think it's possible not on a roll it out. But yeah. So I don't think they're trying to make this big splash in terms of. I just don't think they want to give that up again. I think it's more of like what we saw last year where you're trying to buy on someone who Tennessee's on their rookie deal with like two more years left some including this year and next year. So you kinda have that extra year of talent there like they did with a giant someone who can help in two thousand seventeen eighteen that was their goal or at least. That's what worked out for them. It wasn't just this short term trade. I definitely think we can rule anyone out who is, you know, not under contract through next year unless it's just like a cl-. Clear rental for cheap. You know of. It's like a seventh round pick in. You're getting a guy or was it just a total flyer than I see that. But I don't think they're giving up anything significant at this point. And I don't think they should I think they should keep the picks. If there's good value to be had out there. Like if you're trading third round pick for Patrick Peterson which isn't going to happen by saying like if there's some no brainer value out. They're going get it, even if it might be expensive, cap wise. But otherwise, I just think you know, how we probably gonna sit back here in kind of just make some kind of not super exciting trait. So I wonder if like the strategy changes if the eagles win, and they move to foreign four whether or not they get more aggressive and go after you know, these guys aren't on on on the aren't on their rookie deals, but like Mary Thomas remain, you'll Sanders or zebra like that as we're still productive. I mean, look at the number of Sanders is having a great year. But what would it take to get a guy like that he is under team control for for next year? And if he's still being productive. I think he's under team control. Presentational two years after this year. I don't remember exactly I looked at up earlier this week in the year. Yeah. But a guy like that. I mean, you know, you're talking about guys on the rookie deals like like with a giant. And that would obviously be the smarter thing. But. Yeah. Okay. So just one more though. So I wonder if like the calculus for Roseman changes if they win versus if they lose. I mean, obviously, if they lose this team might even turn into somewhat of a seller..

"Both the howard rosen that's awesome can you imagine that imagining his voice anything like it at all oh wait he was actually in solo wasn't he incredibly jarring jarring jarve inky was very jarring to see he was like a robot slave master i totally forgot about that yeah it was super weird yeah i i don't i don't though the fish dinosaur not a big fan of either i in the beginning of your really confused me and it took you out to realize that they thought the park was flooded but they the opening where the dinosaur lived was just very large and that was like the they're opening yeah i continue it's been a huge liability you bring up a good point which is why would you make a gate that's large enough for that animal to swim through that feeds directly into the ocean in the first place what purpose win would you ever need to get that animal into the pacific ocean well the big the big dinosaur right only grow to the size of its container so maybe if they ever wanted it to get larger they need to get it out of the pond because maybe it actually gets bigger than the size it is now that's just bad design yeah sure everything that that park does is bad design like they make smelly shitting air is all the time like there i mean everyone associated with jurassic park addressing world is a fucking idiot at this point like they screw more things up time and time again it's unbelievable the only guy who was the only is far enough was another character i don't know his name was who's the original drastic creator what's his name begin and yet hammond's friend who's in this movie out of nowhere to left field never mentioned once in any of the premium well cromwell yeah which i'll i'll let that slide that's that didn't bother me all that much like that bothered me that i should go back and say i don't like snow can star was like i don't care about that however like they just brought them into died he just got said strangled a pillow like the guy to smothered him with a pillow which was i mean it's a dark movie too that's the other thing there isn't much fun about this there's almost no fun with this movie and all it kind of feels like work at points but there were other points that led to let me give it to fifty like at some points it was fun to watch and i was like i'm having fun but nothing around this movie all tied together for me and going that your visual point like i don't think it's the dinosaur movie this dead maybe but it's like what they put around the dinosaurs in jeff like you're saying like one of the things i love around drastic park address world is like oh my god they didn't install a separate second security gate those idiots in like feeling like i can judge the park for being so stupid i didn't get that here right there was a moment of catharsis there was one point in the movie where direction people in cedar that were crime and that's when the volcano exploded and the brackish source was like stranded on the dot looking out at the ship like people that were waving via the titanic when it was leaving and then it just gets like engulfed and smoke and lava that was anytime you can kill an animal and a very very brutal way in a movie it's like a cheat code for just getting people to cry during the movie eight if that was a human nobody would cry but since it's like a majestic bracket store in the only new as they can make then everyone everyone was like it's too bad that poor dino it's the first one you saw dress park too so it had some sentimental value there that was a very overdone seen in saying that the the rest of this movie wasn't over yeah like visually i think it was a great senior moments i really liked but it was very very dramatic you can't deny.
