College Football Playoff picks after Championship Week

"So I was I I've already put up my top ten and of course people are are upset about where I have it so here's my final topic I've already told you who the college football playoff gonna be my opinion L. as she was the best team in the country they deserve to be ranked number one whether the committee agrees with me or not that is the only argument tomorrow that's the only intrigue going in to the final rankings is where LSU is ranked in where Ohio state ranked I have Ohio state number two again if you wanna Juxtapoz the two of those teams I don't have a huge problem with it although I think when you look at the rankings in who L. as you is beaten they deserve to be ranked higher climb since number three and I've already said nobody wants to play climbs and I'm gonna say right now claims it's going to be the national champion they're going back to back they're going to surprise I think they're gonna beat the crap out of Ohio state if that's true they play in the semifinals and then it'll be a great game against LSU in the championship game in Oklahoma City at number four I put on my rankings again at John Michaels you I said not sure what to do with spots five through ten not that it matters other than bowl bids because here's where you start to look at there were teams that play this weekend like you talk like Georgia like Baylor who went out and lost football games but there were teams that sat at home and did nothing Florida Penn state Alabama you know all burn these teams were not in championship games so I wonder how much the extra data point of playing in a championship game and losing is going to hurt some of these teams so George's been the number four team they just lost through my number one G. more the number two team of the college football rankings and granted they got spanked but how far would you make the Georgia Bulldogs fall I only have them falling to fifth and I'll explain my rationale here they beat Florida so by virtue of that I cannot have Florida ranked above them their win these are better than Penn state organ Alabama or Baylor so almost by virtue of all of those things I have to have Georgia sitting at number five so that's where I have the fifth ranked team in the country George now do I feel great about Georgia being fifth no I don't I watch Georgia today they did not look like the fifth ranked team in the country I also watch them lose to an eight loss South Carolina team they don't look like the fifth ranked team in the country I don't know Florida at number six again I don't feel overly great about four to be a number six but their losses are true LSU and your Georgia that's it they beat everybody else on their schedule Penn state at number seven they've lost to Ohio state of Minnesota not bad losses their number eight I have worked in who just beat the number five team in the country to jump back into the top ten their losses were to Arizona state and Auburn we were talking about this early on at the beginning of the program crystal weaker ESPN and I really respect really like to work with the bear does on college gameday his analytics all this different stuff he said in a couple of people of after echo the same sentiment organs out of the playoffs by virtue of scheduling offered at the beginning my argument was no they're not they're out of the playoffs causing loss to Arizona state if Oregon beats Arizona state and had won the pac twelve championship over Utah Oregon is in the playoffs the end they would have been in over Oklahoma because they would have come into this week ranked higher their win over Utah would've been more impressed they won by twenty two points against the fifth ranked team in the country in Oklahoma struggled in overtime against Baylor it would've been organ going to the playoffs part of it was because they actually played Auburn and one thing I don't want to see I do not want to see our the pressure come from the outside to where you don't want to see these big marquee match ups at the beginning of the year I love marquee games I love the fact that Alabama sits in plays in one of these openers every single year I like what I see SEC against pac twelve Ohio state against Texas you know Ellis you against Texas you know our Clemson tried to play Texas a and M. they did know the eggs were going to be as bad as they work I want to see or can play all bring these are games you don't typically get so I like seeing these games try the doc sitting at number eight I have Alabama at nine quite frankly I think Alabama all on the field is probably better than everybody that's not in the college football playoff hell they may be better than Oklahoma but they have two losses and then I have Baylor at number ten of course people on Twitter are already arguing somebody named captain Mirka our florists to high in my opinion it's like giving them the same past Georgia got until meeting a buzz saw team from the much tougher SEC west will Johnny Rutledge my buddy played in Florida play for the Indianapolis Colts have a nice long NFL career goes I was gonna ask you talked about to captain Mirka why you thought where they think you thought they should be ranked but I saw your Florida central Florida fan and then they kind of go back and forth as other guys should let Georgian Alabama playing a bowl game for the hell of it so that's where you start to get into these arguments now is who is going to be where the bowl projections then become very interesting and this is where it comes out you know as far as who's gonna be where the rankings become very intriguing we know what the college football playoff gonna be Brett McMurphy who are really like he does have Ellis you one or this was an old when we go back to that because he still had Utah in there so that one's not going to do me any good go find our Brett McMurphy here's what he has for the bowl projections for the interesting balls final one from Brett McMurphy Brett McMurphy has Ellis you playing Oklahoma Ohio state plan climbs in his new years six bowls how about these matchups Wisconsin verse organ although I think Penn state will get and that's just my opinion Sugar Bowl bailar first Georgia do we get George just saying are we don't care about being here like they did last year when Texas kick their **** that's the the old SEC excuse he has yours bowl Virginia verse Florida yeah now yours will be happy because they get Florida and people will show up at hard rock stadium and in the Cotton Bowl Penn state and Memphis US wears Alabama in this day he project Alabama falling to the citrus bowl to play Michigan who trying to look where your Houston Cougars are which usually even volume Houston's bowl eligible he has my Miami hurricanes goodness Miami first southern miss in the independence bowl whole man you know it's bad when you're playing in downtown Shreveport for a bowl game I don't see Houston on here I may have missed them but I don't see the Houston Cougars

Scott so got it right he's got one finger out. one win the dolphins haven't won the red skins haven't won the giants barely one last week so this is a measuring stick to see where this team is that in terms of just how good are the cowboys and it's a saints team without drew Brees teddy Bridgewater's their backup quarterback even playing well he wanted Seattle last week or he was on the field and leaving them against Seattle here's deck talking about going on the road to play the against the Cincinnati game.

"For seven from three point range gave Robinson had ten for the Houston Cougars. Well, Houston came back in the second half and made their threes. They went one for six in the first half second half. They come out and go six for fourteen that got him back on the offense event. But you have to give Kentucky credit defensively they held Houston under forty percent from the field, and they held him to fifty eight point. You're not gonna win too many games would fifty eight points, even as good a defensive team as Houston is and the composure I thought John Calipari did an excellent job at that time out deciding to go in to PJ Washington. A big mistake by us. I guarantee you Kelvin Sampson told these guys defend but do not file do not give up an end one. They gave up an end one. But at the other end, it's still a tie game. Corey puts it on the floor Corey Davis junior and goes into the lane looks like he's going to get. His second straight little floater in the lane PJ Washington for the first time I noticed tonight gets about three feet off the ground sore foot or no blocks the shot, and they come down Tyler hero knocks it down and Kentucky with another stop. And then two more free throws for Tyler hero. Time now with that description for the Mercedes Benz vans player of the game. Well, obviously, we could go either way with the hero Tyler hero who made the biggest three. But I think PJ Washington given that he hadn't played in so long. He's playing on one gimpy foot the entire day. He got the three point play that tied the game up. And then the block that got them the ball back with the chance to win it. So I'm gonna go with PJ Washington. He is the player of the game. Sponsored by Mercedes Benz vans built for you. The all new sprinter that wasn't a math major coach. But over the course of the three games in the tournament. So far the first three rounds Kentucky has allowed one hundred fifty eight points, which means they're giving up about fifty two per game in the NCAA tournament. You talked about them being a sneaky good defensive team. That's a really good defensive team and defense does travel. It certainly does. And again, they've got I don't want to call it a favorable matchup. But I'm going to be shocked if there's any way Chuma oh KiKi can play at for Auburn and a half to play Kentucky without Chuma. Oh, KiKi even with all. It's on the line. It's a tall. Order for the Tigers on Sunday to get our final score Kentucky sixty to Houston. Fifty eight more of the Gatorade post game show to come. The biggest crowd I've ever played in front of is one hundred and five thousand Mike. What's your biggest? God you've ever played in front of we probably lost. I was playing. What we're doing anymore? College football Houston Cougars are finalizing a deal a surprising deal to make Dana Horace in their next head coach expected to announce as early as today a source with knowledge of the search has told ESPN this one's been fascinating. We talk about this all morning. What would drive a coach at not only a power five schools in West Virginia too. Big time conference like the big twelve guy who was very much in the college football playoff discussion, neck and neck with Oklahoma for a lot of the season. To now, go to a group of five team that we saw a couple of years ago even on Houston's best day when things are breaking right for them in that Tom Herman era was still a fringe contender. Best for college football's ultimate prize. They don't want to put a group of five team in the college football playoff. But that's the reality. I think they beat Oklahoma that year didn't they? I mean, and they still didn't get inaugarated lost some games down the stretch. But they put the others good season as you could probably have with the schedule. They had which was very difficult. They won games against high quality teams just perplexing to me. It kind of reminds me a couple of about five four or five years ago when Tommy Super Bowl left, Texas Tech to go to Cincinnati and thinking you left the big twelve. A group of five school. And that's the same thing. You're seeing right here. Overseers the second best hair to Mike Gundy in all of college football. He's leaving us at the kind of balding mullet. Sliding down there. It looks great. When it's wet. I just I'm curious to see why this happened what he thinks he'll be able to achieve at Houston that he could not achieve and West Virginia. Just doesn't make any sense. That's that's the biggest question that I can't really answer from coaching standpoint. You're taking yourself out of the situation where you have a real shot in the national championship. You're putting yourself in a group of five area where you have the best season ever. You might be able to strike once in a while my baby get lucky and get into the playoffs. But realistically, you're going from a spot where you have year in and year out opportunities to find your way into the playoff. You're going from that to Houston and also a well known college football coach if you wanted to do just leave West Virginia. Maybe there weren't a lot of great openings this year, which you felt like they would have been another elite power five opening the he would have been qualified to take in some fan base would have said, hey. With this guy's done of West Virginia. We'll take him over here. If you don't want him anymore, but instead of going to Houston, which you're not to disparage that job, but I just don't feel like it's the best job the data's holders qualified for. So there's some familiarity state the obvious he was an offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach their two thousand eight to two thousand nine so he's not altogether unfamiliar with the area. We also know there's a number of other things that also also factor into this. I mean living in Houston as opposed to living where he has been in West Virginia. You don't know what his preference becomes in a lot of that wild and wonderful. It is true. I will say one of the interesting things me to be if we find out is what is by out is Houston. That'll tell us how long time he thinks. He's there that get you caught up on some of what is trending Golic and wingo on ESPN radio and ESPN two. My Golic junior. Bobby carpenter? I'm Jason Fitz. Win for the guys were presented by progressive insurance. And Antonio Brown is all up in his feelings, and they're hurt. So. Look if anybody didn't see the breaking news over the last twenty four hours Antonio Brown, obviously didn't play in the season finale for the Steelers in what was it? The time reported an injury. We've now found out that there wasn't an injury related incident. There was a practice incident between the the team and the players and Antonio Brown was upset and left and then just essentially didn't come back. Didn't respond anybody's texts didn't respond to calls which included all the way up to ownership and found himself in a situation where he just showed up on Sunday thinking, hey, I know I missed the walk through the meeting the breakfast and the last few practices, and I've gone AWOL and not responded to anybody. But guys I'm still gonna play. And you know, we end the conversation earlier about who you know, who sort of takes the blame. And what's next for the Steelers? But gentleman, I have to ask you when you think about what this means for the rest of the Lee Antonio Brown with this production is going to have some value is much as we can talk about the trade value for the Steelers. My question is for thirty thirty year old wide receiver, Bobby if you're another team in the NFL, and you know, everything that we're now finding out about Antonio Brown. Thirty years old are you willing to give him massive massive massive money to come over and be a part of your team. I mean, you have to think it's going to take at least fifteen million years what he would want probably more than that. The question is how desperate are you? You know, you're going to be doing you're gonna do some things you after midnight. You probably wouldn't do earlier in the day because you might be a little more desperate at that point in time fencing, that's just the reality. Severe team that you think you're on the cusp of potentially morning the Super Bowl and all you need is that elite wide receiver to put you over the edge then. Yeah, you'll be willing to maybe bring him in. I look at those look at teams, and I don't know if I necessarily see that fit next year where there's a team that has a lot of things on the roster, and they just need that play making ability the Dallas Cowboys were that team. But then they they gave a first round draft pick to your guy. Jon gruden. Cooper who looks like he's paid off. And he's still on his rookie deal. So someone's gonna have to pay him he's thirty. He does have issues those are well documented now, I don't know if there's a team that can look at it less like the irony of all ironies. Bill Belichick somehow comes in scoops him up. And would that not be the ballot? Check move of all time, boss move. I mean, it feels like it's going to be Bill Belichick waiting over the quarter to try and do that. And the Rams continuing to say, oh, there's a star free agent out there somewhere. We can bring him over. Let's write the check to to bobby's point though, Mike, I'll go back to what you started the show with you. You're on the Twitter rampage late in the evening last night, reminding people that you know, maybe you've got that tweet you're about to send don't send it. Maybe you've got that late night tax. Don't send it should. We not be giving the same advice this point to NFL teams that feel like to bobby's point, it's midnight. And you're like, okay, let's seven this takes a little bit of a hey step though. What's up sliding in those the you still awake? They wanna win want to win more than anything in every. And they all think they can win. The other thing is Thursday hubris. And they that to every NFL coach that always thinks. No, I can handle this. I see all those gifts, and I can make it work because I'm that good of a coach because that's the mentality. You have to have whether you're a great wide receiver defensive back or your coach, you believe so much in your ability that no challenge like this with that level of talent seems outside of you gosh would have to be such an amazing feeling. You could always do something that no one else can do self-awareness. Pretty awesome. I'll give you. Coming up. The swan song for three time champ. "I mean, that's the way they played pressing running dunking they had them down by seven. They had all the momentum. And then guy Lewis went into the four corners thal trying to buy some time for allows one which was a at one of the great blunders in college basketball coaching history. And then the that's not the way they played. They weren't good at it. They didn't know how to stall they didn't know how to run four quarters and this was before the shot clock and the three point line. And then you know, they tried to hold the ball. And they couldn't do it. That's not what they were good at and North Carolina State got a couple of steals. And then they started fouling and and the formula that works for auto all the way through the tournament won the national championship. But there's an area of that game that nobody ever talks about. And that brought this up over the years how how Houston was absolutely screwed by the officials that night. And I think the officials in large part stolen Astle championship away from them. You look in the first half Clyde Drexler had four fouls in the first half. Now, of course guy Lewis another mistakes that have gotten him out of there after he had his third. But none of them was a foul when you watch the replace that third foul when he went for a steel on the sideline right in front of the NC state bits was a absolutely horrendous. Call absolutely not a foul that was his third that, but but a real hamper the Houston Cougars, and then the fourth one that might be the worst call in the history of college basketball. He's got a breakaway. Terry gannon. The last guy left and Gannon actually ran up to him raptors arm around him and tackled him football style. And they called an offensive foul on Drexel's. What's his fourth? I mean, it was just it's unbelievable. People talk about guy Lewis as bad coaching and the tempo the Valvano people never talk about how the officials screwed Houston. Ataman national championship that night. That's for some reason. That's the topic that doesn't get discussed. Look at those fouls on Drexler. None of them were foul and they call four from in the first half. And that that cost them the game in my opinion. And then after that. This one I've never gotten over. Marvelous Marvin Hagler was my favorite fighter back in the eighties. Loved hagler. And I love the fact that he came up hardscrabble he came up the tough way, he wasn't an Olympic gold medalist. And and he had to go out and fight on the road for a hundred bucks early in his career and worked his way up and great fighter was denied a middleweight championship fight for years and years because everybody ducked him didn't have the right connections behind some of these Olympic champions did. And then he finally winds up getting a chance of winning the middleweight championship. And then he finally has a chance to make some gigantic money at he's challenged by Sugar Ray, Leonard who'd been away for three or four years for the middleweight title. And he had to concede everything to Leonard that night, the the size of the gloves the size of the ring twelve rounds. Instead of fifty the judge everything because he was making so much money Hagler and his team gave Leonard everything, and they didn't think it would make any difference. They thought they were going to beat his ass. Anyway, go ahead have your big ring and the bigger gloves at all it doesn't matter. So the bell rings. And in my opinion, Marvin Hagler absolutely dominated that fight. I it wasn't even close every time. I've scored that I've had at nine rounds. Two three for Hagler, maybe eight to four for good. But it was a a dominant a fight that he won going away. Have there one every single round between seven and twelve the last six seven through twelve we won every round and Leonard was getting tired and just he got the hell beaten out of them the second half of the fight especially to the body. But you know, at all letter did was run and slap. And it's and and all he did was hit Hagler on the arms and on the gloves. I guess if you're gonna give a guy a fight for hitting the other guy on the gloves and on the arms. He didn't hit him clean hardly ever on the chin or on the head. Running and slapping and hit him on the arms and the gloves. And yet that was the night to me the night boxing Jane's forever. Was the night. They stole the championship away from Marvin Hagler that was the first I can remember when a guy ran and slapped and and and actually won a twelve round split decision. Over a guy and professional boxing is supposed to be scored on offensive aggression, and who lands the harder cleaner. Punches both overwhelmingly were for Marvin Hagler that night every punts of significance was landed by the effective aggressor was Hagler. He was the guy coming forward. He was the guy who did all the damage. And to this day. I get so angry to this day. When I watched that the way they screwed Hagler over the those officially the one judge had at one eighteen one ten for Leonard ten rounds. The to Joe Joe Guerra of been thrown in jail for that scorecard. But I just feel to this day. I feel so bad for haggard again. You know, his first championship fight in Vegas. It gets Beato an affirma- when Hagler won fourteen rounds out of fifteen and they called it a draw when they screwed him there. There was just something about Vegas that didn't get along with Hagley, then he fought John the beast Mugabe he was behind on the scorecards and a fight. He was dominating when he knocked Mugabe out. I think it was in the tenth round. And then he went out and dominated Sugar Ray, Leonard and one in my opinion, nine rounds out at twelve and they stole it from. Boy, I just felt so horrible for me never fought again. After that. Leonard wouldn't give him a rematch, of course. And a split decision go as I to this day. Get anybody out there explained to me. How you could possibly give Iran later that fight. It was a blowout. Win for Hagler. Stay smith. You're going to be sports radio dot com. But the Rams do need a win to hold onto the number two seed in the NFC and maintain that first round by they'll face the Niners in LA at the Coliseum. Port twenty five eastern. Of course, the game of the day in Nashville as the titans and colts will play at Nissan stadium. It is a win and.

"And the one thing that that I believe in strongly is that if a coach is going to have a great tenure. Typically, you will start to see greatness in some form of fashion by your to, you know, I I don't know that we exactly seen that Texas at this point. However, you know, if they win that big twelve titles. I think you would have to say these right on schedule and Tom's a quirky guy. He's an Oregon guy he rubs people the wrong way been involved in a little bit of controversy sort of been ten generally tied to the European Meyer stuff. I mean, it's it's been a little bit of a rough year for Tom Harmon off the field in some of the things he's had to deal with. But you know, they've kept together. And they've been pretty impressive overall. Dan, we really appreciate it manager the football this weekend. We'll talk to you soon. Be. Well, all good. Thank you. Thank you. Good stuff right there from Dan Wilkinson. I wanted to ask him about Tom Herman because I I'll never forget being down. It was two years ago. Was in Houston doing a kings game. And the Houston Cougars were on TV. And I was at a restaurant and the atmosphere was so weird. Because everyone knew that with the success that he brought down there to that program that he was gone, and they were kind of like, you know, so excited that the year was going so well, but it was such a weird dynamic because that's what happens we know that in college basketball college football, you do well at this school. You move up the ladder, and I'll never forget talking to the people that night in that restaurant right in downtown Houston about the job that he did because he turned around that entire program and then go to Texas, and as Dan said starting your second year with a loss to Maryland. And that was a game at home they lost. And you kinda there you go back to this year. Go back to that loss. What people were saying down in Texas. And then they rattle off what five six wins in a row, and they had a brutal loss when I say brutal. I mean, a tough loss on the road at Oklahoma state. By what three points a high scoring game? And then they lose to a good West Virginia game in a incredible contest by one point. It was forty two to forty one. But I'm just curious with the we talk about the pressure around these big time football programs. They I don't live in Texas. I don't live in the Austin area. But I I've always heard the boosters and the impact that they have on that program and how hard it is. And you know, all the distractions in you, you coach there and. Yeah, coaching you football teams just part of it dealing with L the outside influences going to be interesting to see how they ended up the year. All right. When we come back. All right. We are going to take your phone calls. We have an open segment. So I if you want to get in on the program, you can give us a call right here on the Jim Rome show because we're gonna talk NBA basketball. That's going to be coming up in the third segment of this hour, but give us a shout. Eight hundred six three six eight six eight six open segment coming up. Right here. The Jim Rome show on CBS..

"Time did come out of the tunnel on campus conversation. Really good news coming out of the Houston Cougars camp, Monday sources telling our colleagues Edward off and Sam kind junior that all American defensive lineman. Ed Oliver who has been hampered and now famously so over the last several weeks by a new brews expects to play when the Cougars take on Memphis this week. He has not played since the navy game on like Tober twentieth. Oliver did practice yesterday was not available to speak with the media following practice. But it looks like years going to play him what's cool about that. To me. See low is there's been a lot of discussion of whether he was holding himself out with the NFL draft in mind, but clearly he wants to come back to his teammates and play, and that's always a cool thing. Well, I'm happy to. To hear this. And those of us who love college football. You wanna see the best players on the field. You understand if kids who had a bright future NFL or going to be smart. But but I do think guys, and I want you guys to weigh in. I think this is going to be the exception going forward and not the rule that kid at Oliver's caliber who's clearly going to be a top top five top six pick in the draft. When he's had some injuries will play late in the season. And whether you want to call it a risk, whatever, I'm not saying, I agree or disagree with it. But I do think this will be the exception, and sort of has been exception. The last couple of years. Yeah. No, I agree with him. Not not happy about it. But agree with him. But I'm just glad to see him play. You know, we're we're gonna get into talk about the awards, you know, more of that coming up. But but the thing that jumped out to me the most was he's not on the list and last year. When we were there. Never forget the kind of set up this room for for ESPN for the for the riders to talk to all the finalists, and there were two athletes that dominated that room simply about walking into the room. It was at Oliver Baker Mayfield and everybody in the room. You the best players that every position in college football. The only two players that they wanted to talk to and get an autograph. It was Baker Mayfield net. Oliver. So it was very obvious. Among that group who they believe were the two best football players in the country. So it'll I'm just I'm glad to see him on the field almost see law. I want the best players to be on the field and in you're exactly right. I think we'd better enjoy this. Because I doubt that we're going to see a kid at last weekend of the regular season jumping back in there with the draft Levin. I'm because he's coming back. I'm I'm not convinced that I think more kids are going to do what Nick Mosa has done Nick Bosa would not. Have been back until December. Even if he had decided to come back, you know, but I think the trend is going toward more kids taking care of themselves with the draft in mind. But the fact that Ed Oliver came back to me indicates that they are going to be kids who don't wanna do that who do wanna play with their buds. And I think that bond is not going to go away either. Hopefully, it won't and because that's really the essence of. Wow, those guys play what? In that your comment Ryan about Oliver last year makes me think what are they what sort of odds could you have gotten in Vegas in August that neither at all nor Bryce love being Atlanta in December. That's just crazy to think the way that seasons. They sometimes it goes, we don't predict them, which I find really annoying. Speaking of prediction. Speaking of predictions. We sort of had one from Koran higgin Michigan as the guys in the big house. Get ready to go down to the horseshoe. Michigan Ohio state this Saturday. One of the great rivalries of the game. Let's listen to Higgins, gently lay down the gauntlet. Would you go as far as did guaranteed?.

Couldn't stand the way he played Constanza team. He played for how he played the Lord's Taylor's LT. And there's another hall of fame running back, Danny Dan, Tomlinson, once Lawrence Taylor has all t- that nickname has done. If a superstar has your nickname. You can't have the same nickname. You can't call it in in Tomlinson LT. That's the point of this little little rant here. We got a call Thomson L D DT or something like that. Is there any other nickname the shared by two people? I can't think of it. And I don't mean stretcher lefty or something like that. But. Ladainian Thompson, Tom, Kelly and Tim Kelly. That's true. But that's the WPA, right? Tim Keller is going to be. Yeah. Absolutely. Unhealthy. TNL T. We have t- candidates. Well, somebody Jack Fritz j f for that matter. Matt in Westchester is on WIP. Hello, matt. Hey, good, buddy. What's up? You got my mind thinking now, I was thinking about names and nothing's really coming to me. That's okay. It's just a random thought. The my my thought was I've been been listening here on and off popping in and out. I'm not sure if anybody has called the talk about the actual the the way the Sixers are playing at home versus the way they're playing away. They're currently seven and at home, I'm one and five on the road. We're recommendation listen in the NBA is a home court league. I mean, it's you're going to be better at home, obviously led to be better than that on the road. And then there's only one other team in basketball when the Sixers won a road game that had won a road game yet. Obviously, you gotta even that little bit. But it's early. Now, do do it might be so early, but I guess the difference the the the difference between how well they play at home and the way they play way. Do you think there's maybe a schedule like a scheduling thing that they might not be able to get a hold of. Or what do you mean scheduling, what are you talking about the schedules? Choice bite your schedule. I don't know. I I guess I'm stretching. I just feel alone play so much better at home. I just sports in general. I think the fans, obviously, we're not we're not unique Matt Cleveland in San Antonio in Detroit. I can't think of anywhere where teams consistently played better on the road at home. I mean, you have UC sleeping your own better used to the Nixon Knox and pins if you own floor your own field. The fans on your side. You hear about the officials being influenced by the fans, I mean homecourt is what it is. Bottom line is they're not going to be forty one zero at home. But they gotta play better on the road and out I've ever been done, by the way. Nope. The best ever been close. The Celtics lost one home game. I think during the bird era once I think that's the closest to spend the warriors had one home us team has never been undefeated at home for the season to answer. Your question. Now. You're not going to be the first one this year. They almost throw it away tonight. What what did you see in the game tonight? You know, what I I don't think there's anybody in the east I could barely stop and beef. So I'm not worried about us at all. We're definitely making the play offs. And and make is your metric this you making the playoffs. I don't care about making the plan here. I guess what my second point other than no one that can stop and be is we do have to figure out this full ordeal. Because reineck is Rennick is definitely a far better stretch of a guard that actually can allow even Simmons the play the way he he plays. And and get more room. You have to you have to respect Radic shot and everybody knows that. So you have fault. They're gonna dare him to shoot when they know. He's not really going to not really making a sad. Unless it's a short term thing is a thirteen year guy. He'll be fine Radic sites. Not going in Fulton Simmons aren't playing together. Well, I mean tonight. You know, Joel saved they kind of fell asleep after they got the big lead. But we'll see we'll see how Brett proud figures it out throughout the I thirty forty games of the season. But they got to come up with a rotation a complaint the end of games can defend that can score. And right now, that's not the Sixers high point they they don't have five guys clearly fed. I mean Jonah Bolden played tonight. Wilson Chandler's back. But. They need to shooter. Simple. Azan born here anymore. They gotta look and see if there's a way that sham. It's been very good early in the season lenders salmon that working him in the rotation. That's Browns job the next ten fifteen twenty games. Patrick and Lansdale on WIP Patrick. How are you? I'm good. How are you? Good. Thank you. So there's a lot of incompetence and ownership, but there are a lot of sports. Insider and Snyder why is it you think he's the most incompetent. I agree. He is incompetent want. What makes Dan Snyder? The owner of the Washington Redskins incompetent Redskin fan. What would you not like about him? So drafting starting quarterback in the same draft. And then five six years later, not having either one of them left, and that's not I don't know. That's not. But I don't know if dance not runs a draft. I don't know the Redskins war room. I it actually worked out to they drafted two quarterbacks. They drafted Kirk cousins in the fourth round the same year. They drafted RG three second that worked out for them. I mean, what happened with Kirk cousins is between the Redskins and Kirk cousins. And obviously they didn't like him as much as they could have. But I don't know if that was Dan Snyder, not just metals too much. I'll give you a personal thing. Dan, Snyder with the radio broadcasts, mental recent Mike quick, you know, where we are in in watching every other ballpark every other stadium in the league were high up with a very good view of the field. Sometimes the fifty some as the forty whatever with a Redskins when the corner of the end zone and low you don't want to be low in a football game because to see down the other end of the field is virtually impossible in the corner of the end zone is very hard to call a football game dance not to give the press box. Fedex just one, you know. I think she did. He's not thinking about the game. He's thinking about how it can make an extra buck. Guys guys broadcasting from. I have a better broadcast booth is near the fifty yard line. I don't really know to be honest with you. But. It seems like he has that that that that I'll be king complex what he says is his way, and and he's he's gone through thirty five press press and media people, and and he just rubs people the wrong way a lot. But his teams ultimately fired a bunch of coaches hired a bunch of guys likes the names, the star names Marty Schottenheimer, Steve Spurrier, what have they done since? He bought them. Nothing. What do you think about this hanging his hat on keeping the Redskin name like just coming? Yeah. Just notice Goshen about just hanging his hat on never ever changing that what do you think he is with that? That's another subject for another day. That's something that I think probably should be changed. But that's that's him. Just being you know, iconoclastic about something refusing. That's not why it's a bad owner. That's certainly a point. Now, we're talking about. And I'm not saying it's not Patrick. But that to me, what makes someone a bad owner. That's just an opinion to be honest. I don't like it. Either eagles went Sunday night when easy. Yes. Yes. I think they went very easy. I think that we have a great shot that just get through our division, and you know, within our Gordon. Well, let's hope it certainly isn't our quarters Raskin's play the eagles twice. Obviously the eagles play the Cowboys twice. They could be by eight twenty Sunday night by kickoff down at the link. The eagles could be planned for a division tie because the Redskins play at Tampa Bay two three point dogs. They lost an entire offensive line. Jackie plan for the Redskins is Sunday. Trent Williams at surf's out. My God is falling apart there. I'll be shocked at the Redskins. You know, make much of a run that they had a nice first half. But you think the eagles offense on eagles offensive line right now is this the Golden Gate Bridge compared to the Redskins offensive line. And the Cowboys offense of live for that matter. Yeah, I feel listen I hate to say something on behalf of I feel bad for the Cowboys not for the team or whatever for the fans, but Travis Fredricks there center. My sister had gained beret syndrome, which he has as a child, and that's a brutal disease. And let's just hope he gets better plans for the Cowboys and and sixteen next year. But I don't want to see anybody sick. I don't care who you play for that has nothing to do with it to me Bobby in west grove WIP. What's up? Hey, I know that living in the Philadelphia area. And we're always looking at the NFC. So it's easy to pick on Dan Snyder. I don't to bring up Cincinnati. Doc about Marvin Lewis a decade and a half of incompetence. Carson Palmer thrown Ocho Cinco. Now, he's got the red rifle prone AJ green and eight and a half without a playoff win. How can you not call that incompetence how nobody else in the league would keep their job with that that see to me we think about things in two different ways..
