"Which include two former giants. One being Carlos Beltran who had a brief stint in San Francisco after he was traded by the New York mets. He spent his final season with the Houston Astros winning the World Series with the franchise in 2017, but he was one of the players listed by Major League Baseball as a key cog in Houston's cheating scandal, so this will be an interesting case study for the Hall of Fame as it pertains to the cheating scandal in 2017. Also on the ballot will be former giants pitcher Matt Cain, he was a World Series champion and a three time all star with the Giants and was also a San Francisco fan favorite, and it will be Jeff Kent's tenth and final year on the ballot last year he received the highest percentage of votes among players who are not inducted. Now the finalized ballots will be marked by December 31st and the results will be announced on January 24th. As for the Giants, they have met with free agent outfielder Aaron judge this week and according to John marozia of MLB network, these meetings could result in a contract offer before the week's end. Again, I'm told it was a very productive meeting. I don't think right now guys that there's been an offer made yet, but I do expect that could happen within the week where there's a formal offer made from the Giants, to Aaron judge. He would also mention the possibility that judge could sign a deal before baseball's winter meetings, which begin on December 4th. As for the Golden State Warriors, they are back tonight against the Los Angeles Clippers at home, but the clippers will be without a couple of their stars in Kauai Leonard and Paul George, Leonard rolled his ankle on Monday night while George will be missing his second straight game at the sports desk, Steven Langford, case CBS, sponsored by cars for kids at carts with a K to donate your car today. "Now this Bloomberg sports update, the Houston Astros wasted no time in wrapping up game 6 of the World Series and bringing the championship home to Houston. They got a big 6th inning in game 6 on Saturday against Philadelphia, the big bomb was Jordan Alvarez burying a 450 foot three run Homer into the stands and that was the difference in a four to one win. The Phillies only had three hits in game 6, so Houston celebrating they are baseball's World Series champions. Closer to home, the Knicks were on the MSG hardwood against the Boston Celtics Saturday night and there were just two many three pointers made by the Celtics. They bombed away. They made 27 triples and they beat the Knicks one 33 to one 18. The big three point makers jaylen Brown, he had 30 points Jayson Tatum had 26. The Knicks got good efforts from Julius Randle and RJ Barrett, Randall had 29 Barrett had 27, but they've lost four of their last 5 games. They'll play the Timberwolves in Minnesota on Monday in Detroit. It was the red wings hosting the islanders. New York coming in with a nice 5 game winning streak, but the red wings put an end to that with a three to nothing shutout win. So the islanders will come home, they'll host Calgary on Monday. The rangers, they're skating on Sunday against the red wings. Football on Sunday, no action for the Giants. They're on their break, but the jets will be home against the best team in the AFC. That's the Buffalo Bills, buffalo comes in with that 6 and one record. The jets, of course, are 5 and three trying to bounce back after the loss last weekend. That's your Bloomberg sports update. "Native peoples. But like give people hope, she says she's very nervous about election day on Sunday. Polls suggest the contest will be very close. Carrie conn NPR knew São Paulo, Brazil. As baseball fans know the World Series starts today. The Houston Astros take on the Philadelphia Phillies, as the series starts in Houston, both teams are obviously on a roll, but there's a definite favorite. NPR sports correspondent Tom Goldman is covering the series. Hey there, Tom. Hi Steve. So the last time I checked in with baseball, it was clear to me that the Yankees and Dodgers were headed for a big matchup in the World Series. That's not happening? Yeah, Steve, you're only a few weeks behind, but that's okay. Stick with it. It's Houston and Philadelphia and Houston based on recent history, the Astros are in their fourth World Series since 2017 when they won the title and based on right now they are undefeated. This postseason and winning games every which way. They are a red hot team so they should win. The Phillies, though, they're also playing well, started the postseason as a wild card team. They're in their first World Series since 2009. So as I said, on paper, Houston Steve is your winner, but Steve, here's some real sports wisdom for you. They don't play the games on paper. Well, how could the Phillies tear up the paper and win this series? Well, their players who have been playing well keep it up, including free players whose contracts total more than a half a $1 billion altogether. They have been earning their crazy money, sluggers like Bryce Harper and Kyle schwarber have been slugging, schwarber is built like a D cell battery. He launches home runs called shore bombs, and they measure them Steve in terms of how far into outer space they travel. And the third player pitcher Zach Wheeler has been close to unhittable in the playoffs. So I should admit I actually was following the playoffs. I did hope for the Yankees to do a little better than they did. And of course they weren't even close. They lost all the games. What makes the Astros so good? They are complete. They have a great system that during this run since 2017 keeps replenishing and putting stellar players on the field. For instance, a breakout star this postseason rookie Jeremy Pena has been great, defensively. He's hit three home runs. One of them against those Yankees where he rounded third base during his home run trot, spread his arms and shrugged at his teammates as in, what can I say? Steve is not bad for a rookie. I guess we should acknowledge some people hate the Astros, particularly because of that scandal a few years ago, sign stealing by Houston, but a lot of people love their manager. Dusty baker, who is talking not only about the games, but the composition of the teams. What does he say? Yeah, he commented about this yesterday. There are no U.S. born black players on either active roster for this World Series. That's the first time that's happened since 1950, only three years after Jackie Robinson integrated

Is it too much too little? Well, as has happened in past uprisings, there's a feeling of dismay about what's seen as a completely inadequate response. More sanctions have been imposed, but Iran's hardliners point out their country is carried on under sanctions for decades and can continue to do so. "I'm Jim Forbes. Now this Bloomberg sports update, the Yankees continue to sink deeper and deeper into the quicksand and the Houston Astros are one win away from moving on to the World Series and claiming the American League championship series. Game three was no contest Houston got out to a 5 nothing lead and never looked back. Yankees never really even threatened. They only had a total of three hits, two of those hits came in the 9th inning when the game was already kind of a foregone conclusion. So the only time of course that a Major League Baseball team has overcome a three zero deficit was back in 2004 and the Yankees were on the wrong end of that when they played the Boston Red Sox, game four. For this series is Sunday Night, 7 O 7 first pitch at Yankee Stadium. Hockey on Saturday it was the islanders on the road in Tampa against the lightning. Things did not go well. The islanders failed on all three power plays and the lightning end up skating off with a 5 three win. Islanders will continue the Florida trip and they'll play the Panthers on Sunday. On football Sunday for the jets, they traveled to Denver. They'll take on the Broncos, Denver, of course, banged up and not playing well. Russell Wilson will sit. He's got hamstring issues. So the jets will try and exploit that advantage. The first kick is at four O 5 in Denver, the Giants. They are going to be underdogs, believe it or not, in their game at Jacksonville, they are three point underdogs to the Jaguars, Jacksonville just two and four, the G men are 5 and one and we've got the Knicks off until Monday when they host the Orlando Magic at MSG. That's your Bloomberg sports update. I'm Dan guitar
