But i think it's it's thinking about this and i think it's complicated. I think it has to do with how people look at the impeachment process. And how people look at this president. Look at it in kind of a vacuum. And you're just determining you know what's my constitutional duty in an impeachment case. Look at the facts. Look at the evidence. Decide whether there is enough for the equivalent of an indictment. You know you can see his argument. When donald trump gave that speech to his supporters he explicitly said. Go up there peacefully. And so if you're trying to make a criminal case it's hard to do that but if you look at donald trump's conduct over the course of the last four years and the dog whistles and the bull horns and charlottesville and all of the things that he is said to rile up his supporters in such insidious dark ways and then this big lie that he is perpetrated since the election that the election was stolen. It's hard to nazi culpability. I think it's a it's a kind of like how you look at this episode. And how you look at this president that affects how people ultimately made made the decision. But either way he's a thoughtful guy and he says a lot of interesting things Not just about this case but about his party as you said let's remember look You know there's gonna be a republican party after all this is done and the question is who are going to be. It's leaders who are going to be it's spokesman. Obviously you know a lot of these crazies who refused to accept the results of the election. Who like mo brooks also incited that mob and You know the on supporters marjorie retailer green and this woman from colorado lauren bogut they been marginalized than deserve to be marginalized so the question is is the republican party going to be the matt gates's of the world or are they going to be the mike mccalls of the world and i think all of us have a big stake in being the mike mccalls of the world. Even though as you point out a lot of our listeners are going to say come on man. You supported this president for a long time and you should have known what this was going to lead to. But let's hear from the congressman.

"Good Morning I'm James Holman from the Washington Post and this is the daily to Oh two for Wednesday December four. A home in today's news phone records show frequent contact between Giuliani and the White House. Three foreign leaders are caught on camera laughing. The president trump behind his back and Kamala Harris dropping out of the race means that the next democratic debate link feature only white canes but first the big idea defenders of the president have taken to describing this impeachment inquiry as a circus. But after the partisan theatrics expected acted during. Today's I hearing in the House Judiciary Committee. They might need a stronger word. Some Capitol Hill's most aggressive and colorful characters in both parties will now now have a platform they're eager to inject new friction and hostility into the second phase of the inquiry. There could be disruptions from Matt Gaetz the Republican from Florida a Fox News favourite. Who led a revolt against impeachment in mid October. By storming the secure room where depositions were taking place there could be conspiracy see theories from Louie Gohmert the Republican from Texas who nearly named the intelligence community whistleblower during a recent speech on the House floor and there could be antics from Democratic Credit Congressman. Steve Cohen of Tennessee. Who brought a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken into a May hearing to highlight the absence of attorney. General Bill Barr who was scheduled all the testify but didn't appear add to these another thirty eight lawmakers many either trump loyalists or strongly outspokenly pro impeachment. Peach Mint and you have a potentially explosive mix of personalities. Andy Biggs a Republican from Arizona on the panel told Fox News that it's going to get hot under the collar because he put it. The committee has a bunch of brawlers on it. More than two months into this impeachment inquiry public opinion remains divided. Fresh polling shows that few voters were swayed in either direction by last month's televised hearings now with the Christmas holiday fast approaching and a possible floor vote looming Democrats face renewed pressure to make their case while avoiding delays or partisan provocations that could alienate alienate more moderate members of the party. The Judiciary Committee by its nature makes that task more difficult though it has the constitutional responsibility instability for impeachment. The panel hasn't had the clout of other committees in recent years it tends to attract instigators who desire platform for advocacy on hot button issues like abortion abortion and immigration lawmakers and aides from both parties predict a dramatic shift in tone from the earlier set of hearings run by the more sober intelligence committee whose members are handpicked by Nancy Pelosi. This is in part because the panels play different roles. The Intelligence Committee was focused. On Fact Act finding the Judiciary Committee needs to make the determination of whether trump's actions constituted high crimes and Misdemeanors Intelligence Committee chairman. Adam Schiff is. He's known for keeping his members on a tight leash while judiciary committee chairman. Jerry Nadler let's his members do what they want and operate freely. Now there's Republican counterpart is Doug Collins from Georgia. A fast talking veteran. WHO's come up with some inventive talking points to defend trump and his generally been much more effective than Devon Nunez his Republican counterpart on the Intelligence Committee? My Colleagues Elise v Beck Mike honest and Rachel Bait who covered the house say that Republicans believe these differences will will offer them a chance to derail the hearings over the next few weeks they've planned several procedural roadblocks starting today to throw off. Nadler has members and Republicans have found success with this approach before the reason shift took point over. The last few months is because trump's allies successfully disrupted a September hearing with former trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski to such a degree that Pelosi felt. She had no choice but to sideline Nadler. Now this is squarely in Nadler's jurisdiction and Pelosi. Locie doesn't have a choice. And that's the big idea. Here are three other headlines that should be on your radar this Sunday number one subpoenaed phone records included in three hundred page report from the House Intelligence Committee that was released last night. Show extensive contact between regionally and the white eight house during key moments in the Ukraine. Saga the call. Logs provide powerful circumstantial. Evidence that Giuliani was coordinating closely with the White House on his Ukraine Gambit. Something Giuliani has previously knowledged. The phone records include calls with a number designated only as minus one often close in time to call between Giuliani and the White House switchboard. The clear implication of this is that minus one might be a private cell phone number belonging to trump the records also show several calls and text messages in early. August between Giuliani and phone numbers associated with the White House and the Office of Management and budget which was freezing freezing the Ukraine aid at that time. US diplomats were trying to arrange an Oval Office meeting between trump and his counterpart Vladimir's Alinsky Giuliani's calls and texts texts. Include a thirteen minute call on August eighth with an OEM be official end minus one. The records also show contact between Giuliani's Janis indicted associate left Paris and one of trump's key defenders in Congress Nunez on the Intelligence Committee Nunez appearing last night on Fox. News told Sean Hannity that it's possible awesome. He spoke with US although he claims he doesn't recall doing so shifts says they're continuing to investigate this and other leads number two as dignitaries and world leaders milled around. Buckingham Palace last night at a reception for the NATO Summit Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau British British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and French President Emmanuel macron were caught on camera chatting with each other. The three foreign leaders were seen mocking trump for his forty five minute impromptu press conference during that press conference the President lashed out at Democrats calling them unpatriotic and suggested that schiff should be jailed jailed because he's such a sick puppy Johnson asked if that's why everyone was late getting over to the palace. Trudeau said it was then. mccrone imitated trump's angry gesticulation. Just take the others all laughed. Trudeau said he could see. Trump's team was caught off guard. He said he saw their jaws dropped to the floor. This commiserating came after trump openly jousted with mccrone and also criticized Trudeau for not spending enough on defense trump also previewed likely confrontation with German Chancellor. Angela Merkel to watch trump perform alongside other world leaders was to witnesses use of disequilibrium as a political strategy deployed throughout his presidency to keep everyone everyone slightly off kilter at home and abroad number three comma. Harris dropped out of the twenty twenty presidential race. As yesterday the California senator hit invited reporters to spend Thanksgiving with her and her family in Iowa just a few days ago so she could show off her Turkey preparation skills. What she didn't show at the time was that she was also having intensive conversations with her husband? Her Sister Maya Harris and my family is the tight. Knit group grappled with whether there was any path forward for her campaign. Those talks extended into late Monday night as Kamala Harris stayed up until two. AM trying to find a way to push on but at one o'clock yesterday afternoon she called her. Staffers told them it was over. This marked a long painful fall. From her January kickoff when Harris came onstage to electrify a crowd of more than twenty two thousand in Oakland in a note to supporters Harris said her campaign's financial struggles. Were the driving force behind her departure. Ironically her dropping how came literally just hours after a super. PAC launched to support harasses candidacies. Some donors spent yesterday afternoon frantically trying to retrieve hundreds of thousands of dollars it just wired into the Super Pacs Bank Account Harris remains a potentially appealing running-mate for the eventual Democratic nominee. And unlike the senators still in the race. She'll we'll be free to spend January focused on trump's expected senate impeachment trial harasses exit indicates that a wants historically diverse democratic field may winnow down to only white candidates the six people qualified so far to appear in this month's democratic debate or all white. The party didn't WANNA have two dozen candidates crowding the debate debate stage with just two months to go until Iowa but the DNC's strict criteria has had the unintended effect of making it easier for an extremely rich white man with no no experience in elected office. Tom Steyer to gin up the contributions and poll numbers. He needs to get a spot on stage. While more experienced officials with more limited resources like cory booker and Julia on Castro appear to be coming up short. And that's the daily to two for Wednesday Wednesday December fourth. "Destroyed also gain traction and was re tweeted by hundreds of social media accounts that appeared to be bought S- According to the Wall Street Journal Former Under Secretary of state in the Obama Administration Richard Stengel tweeted this this is a clear example of Russian disinformation happening in real time we're going to discuss the implications of these actions for the twenty twenty election and more with Michael Weiss and David Corn after the break all right joining us now Michael Weiss Daily Beast columnist and the author of an upcoming book on Russia's Military Military Intelligence Agency. David Corn is back with us as well David. We're back in a conversation that you and I have had for probably two years yes or longer now about the president not taking Russia's interference in the election seriously actually dismissing reporter's question about the fact Act Russia may now start starting to try and influence the Democratic primary your thoughts well. It's basically the third year anniversary of Donald Trump saying Russia's not attacking the United States and even saying hey if you're listening attack in and hack into Hillary Clinton that was in the summer of two thousand sixteen and no matter what to happen number one information has come forward. He is refused to fully acknowledge that Russia attacked an American election to help elect Donald Trump and his campaign was even told that Russia had a secret plot to help trump and he kept denying it as a candidate and he's denied it since he has not said anything about election security Mitch McConnell was blocking blocking key bills..

"I mean that is fascinating but more importantly this man is not qualified and was not what qualified in his type should not be allowed to bid for this John. This requires a true intelligence professional like and that's the key the difference here Ratcliffe again rented some problems in which he claimed that he had done other work the Texas monthly reports rat claim to have been appointed acted chief of anti-terrorism and national security in the Eastern District of Texas came under suspicion because no such role exists ratcliffe had taken on administrative duties as the coordinator of the anti-terrorism Advisory Council. This is one of those jobs the deny thankfully and other jobs related to the military three in the United States government are actually jobs. You have to be qualified for that's right absolutely and professionals like the deputy director of National Intelligence Right Right now sue Gordon thirty years of experience former director of science and technology at CIA worked her way through senior management of then deputy director of National Intelligence. This is a job crafted for her or people like her and Donald Trump specifically said or made clear to someone in the White House that she was not welcome because he doesn't want an professional giving him unvarnished information which would would offend him. He is trying to craft the U._S.. Intelligence community into a tool a political weapon with which he can attack his enemies by the way that's exactly exactly like his friend. Vladimir is Vladimir Putin. He did the same thing. Vladimir Putin came into office and purged people who didn't agree with came in the intelligence infrastructure sure and that he put his top four x K._G._B.. F._S._B._A. Advisors there then made it clear that every oligarch who is associated associated with him would have an ex K._G._B.. Or be officer on their he controls that country through an intelligence apparatus donald trump it through all of his Russia Russia hoax material has decided that he needs to control all the levers that could possibly investigate him his family his associates he is literally trying trying to create an intelligence police state and it's the professionals who are pushing back with the truth. You know as we know in the walls of the CIA John Thirty one John Five thirty one the truth shall set you free is their version of the scriptures not for Donald Trump for him. Truth is something nothing to be crafted molded and hidden at all costs one distinction between Vladimir Putin Donald Trump though is that Vladimir Putin was actually an intelligence officer. Donald trump wasn't good to see you as always thank you for joining me Malcolm Nets I coming up Democrats crossed the line today more than half of the Democratic Caucus in the house backs impeachment now and the member who became number one eighteen joins me next a majority of House Democrats crats are now on record publicly supporting an impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump today congressman Salud carbohydrate love California said that he would support an impeachment an inquiry putting the tally at one hundred eighteen democrats and one independent former Republican Justin Amash with a majority of the two hundred and thirty five House Democrats now how ready to move forward will speaker Nancy Pelosi face increased pressure despite her reluctant reluctant to call for impeachment. Nancy Pelosi released a statement today saying quote quote in America. No one is above the law. The president will be held accountable for months speaker. Pelosi has warned against advancing impeachment and that Democrats it should focus their attention on the ongoing congressional investigations and legal battles but today freshman congressman. Tom Malinowski said this about the congressional investigations. As far as I'm concerned an impeachment inquiry has already begun the Judiciary Committee has made clear that they are seeking in documents and witnesses for the purpose of conducting an impeachment inquiry so that's what I called for and many others called for a while ago and it's happening..

"Party. David Texas precinct chair Cathy Pond says good riddance to will heard <hes> listen listen to what she says. I am ecstatic and unhappy that will no longer be seeking reelection for his congressional district. He is not a Republican values. He's a rhino so so Texas needs to start standing with true conservatives rhino meaning a Republican in name. Only that's the accusation. If you're Republican Publican. These days doesn't agree with President Trump. He was the one black Republican and he's not even Republican. I don't know what that means. I also only only expand this out. One bit to will hurt not only was the one African American in the House on the Republican side. He was also one of the maybe the only Republican members of Congress who seemed to give a damn about Russia's attack on the two thousand sixteen election instead of the guys on the intelligence committee who run around and trying to distract and say that didn't happen or that FIS award is far more important than the attack on an American <hes> presidential election and Donald Trump's involvement with that that he was out there saying this is bad. We need to investigate this. We need to be honest and was sort of counterpoint to Devon Nunez and now Republican Party is fully on the side of hey nothing happened and again is bad for the Republican <hes> another reason to quote congressman English the Party Hardy could end up on the ash heap of history right and and Bob Inglis. He was an intelligence guy. This will hurt came from the intelligence community so he had a good understanding of this but just a mosh tweeted today to a point that you were making a little while ago there was a time when the G._O._P.. Establishment hated Donald Trump then and they realized they could use a man like this unprincipled transactional shameless to push their agenda McConnell and McCarthy are giddy about trump's conservatives in Congress. Congress are the ones privately horrified. Tell me about this. Why are conservatives in Congress privately horrified? If you listen to what Justin Amash says but the leadership is not. I don't know that doesn't make a lot of sense to me what I think I think everybody's pretty much horrified but and terrified of the activists in the party that's true by the way the Democratic Party too. It's why the Democrats are doing such good job right now and they're debates have seen that donald trump gets a second term because they're terrified of the activists in the Party and that's our challenge in in America is not just a Republican party but the fact that the Democratic Party has people with some really wild ideas that draw the party too far in out of the mainstream I would I would hear that real wild ideas about giving everybody healthcare very different from wild ideas about being racist. I wouldn't say that that's that's true except this one the big one that Democrats really don't understand is if you if you treat abortion abortion is a sacrament of some sort <hes> and you run a high priest or high priestess of abortion in America you cannot win the south you cannot cannot win Texas and you cannot win the presidency and so as long as that cultural divide remains with the Democrats choosing basically clete telling Joe Biden that he has to abandoned twenty years thirty years of a policy position on no public funding of abortion. You must must accepted Joe. He acquiesces he hands the White House back to Donald Trump because you cannot win the south or Texas with that position interesting though because Ted Cruz of Texas Danielle has warned that they're going to be trouble for Republicans in Texas. He told The Washington Post the president's reelection campaign needs take sex tech seriously he added that while he remains optimistic about the G._O._P.'s chances it is by no means a given that trump trump will carry Texas if it's by no means a given the trump will carry Texas then it's by no means given the trump will carry the popular vote or <hes> the the Electoral College. That's that's absolutely right. You know he will probably again have a lot of help from his friends in Russia but you know Ted Cruz is onto something he saw what happened in his Senate race and how close a congressman came to beating him the demographics that are changing in Texas..

"Tweets. We've seen no oh one in the league we really in the leadership position of the House or the Senate Kevin McCarthy or Mitch McConnell come out and and distance themselves from this. I mean trump trump has taken the party out of the closet in terms of its racism. I think the Republicans have always had a problem it goes back to the southern strategy with Richard. Nixon is and Ronald Reagan decrying welfare Queens <hes> states rights. You had the Willie Horton ad for the George H W Bush <hes> campaign pain and so there's always been this for tation if not more so with racist tropes as they like to say trump has taken the party fully out of the closet taken off the hood. If you want to say it that way and most of the party at least the people in control say yeah not a big problem and if people still coming to the rallies cheering him him on so I think I really respect congressman English. He knows that <hes> but I think the time to stand up is really almost too late. I I think you guys got to start a new party or at. least you know burn this one down because you're not getting it back Bob. What do you say to that well? There's there's another narrative Jack. Kemp Republicans like me people. You know that that believe conservatism works if it works for everyone if it's if it does and it's good for Saul philosophy if it doesn't it's not very good and so they're those of us who Jack Kemp Republicans people like Nikki Haley who took down the confederate flag in south South Carolina so there are some difference <hes> folks out there that are ready to lead a grand opportunity party if we could get away break raked breakaway from the grumpy old party which I agree it has become and so that grumpy old party will not survive but I hope nope that out of its ashes can come a free enterprise party that believes in the sanctity of life that believes in they smaller government and inefficient government that believes leaves the government can do things it believes America she lead the world and the believes that free enterprise can solve things like climate change if we get the right policies in place so ah that party can exist but I agree we've got to jettison grumpy old party which really is headed to the ash heap of history and the Problem Danielle gala seeming in the last few weeks something more than grumpy starting with the president's attacks on the Republican Congress weather democratic congresswoman assume and then his his comments about Elijah Cummings and Baltimore and then last night he was carrying on about inner You know it's more it seems more than a flirtation with racism now. It seems like all out dating yes it is it's marriage basically and I just have to push back a a little bit. This did not start with Donald trump okay. Let's not forget that Sarah Palin was out there whipping up those crowds and talking about President Obama and and highlighting his quote unquote otherness and and all the ugliness that we saw that came with President Obama's election and the rise of the tea party and some of the racist stuff that we saw around then and so <hes> to David's point I think trump just bought out a lot of the racism that has sort of been dormant and maybe behind the scenes we heard those recent Reagan Nixon tapes were President Reagan and everyone's favourite lauded Republican president <hes> was calling black people monkeys and they were laughing about it. Racism has been a part part of this Republican Party for decades and they just found somebody in Donald trump who wasn't afraid to embrace it and now people are feeling in bolted in the country to come out talk about it freely so there are people in the Republican Party who are fighting back against the idea that losing will hurt in Congress is an actual loss for the party..

"Let me begin with you. The departure of will heard is a big deal for a lot of a lot of Republicans. I'm sorry who felt that there were still people in the party who could sort of help. Carry it forward in an in an era after Donald trump yeah. This is a very big loss for them and honestly it's a little unfair to congressman heard to expect him to carry the weight of all Republicans who don't abide by Donald Trump's racism and honestly I feel like it's almost too late for this party now. You're you're going to remain a republican like you said it is Donald Trump's Republican party so if you're going to remain a part of that party then yeah you are signing on. You're co-signing whether you like it or not to his racism and I guess William Her just was like I'm not going to do this anymore. Bob Aimless there was a tweet from the Texas Tribune's Abby Livingston about reaction to will heard retirement it reads Mike Phone is absolutely exploding with texts from Republican operatives. Were reacting to the retirement all have a word that I don't normally use on this forum and my mother highly disapproves of but it rhymes with duck okay. I think I got it. I think that it is a real problem of course for the G._O._P.. To have to have heard retiring cassette districts can be hard to hold. That's what those tweets are about of course is the difficulty of holding that district in Republican Hands <hes> but you know I think that my party the Republican Party has to reexamine <hes> where we are and <hes> it's time for Republicans is to stand against what the president's doing here with the racist tweets and the and the disputation of climate science it sounds a little bit like <hes> Bolsonaro Brazil really <hes> which is not usually where we expect to praise the United States to be so some members of Congress run on their a their record some ron on policies and some run on momentum and the problem here is the momentum David Corn seems to be with the president at least amongst those voters who are going to cast their ballots for Republican the Associated Press had an interview with another Republican retiree from Congress Paul Mitchell and he says there's a mood of tremendous frustration with the lack of accomplishment. He said an interview this week days after studying colleagues when he said he's leaving after just two house terms quote y run around like a crazy man when the best you can hope is that maybe you'll see some change at the margins. How does this stop from becoming a mass movement of people who are just frustrated with with Donald Trump having taken over the Republican Party? I don't think they'll be a mess. Movement of people frustrated with trump because the base of the Republican Party is with them. We've were two and a half years into the trump experiment of the trump disaster depending on your perspective and it's taken this long for some Republicans to start bailing and only a handful numbers. I mean the party in the house. The Republican Party in the House was ninety nine point nine five percent. I think white before <hes> will hurt announced he was leaving and we've had these racist tweets..

"Report i can't stress enough how much the white house is different today than even a month ago with so many of the restraints off of the people who would say don't do that or 'have you thought about a different option they're all gone or they're all weekend in so now it really is trump on his own going with his gut with a bunch of people around him nodding go go go that's a smart move that's a smart move and so when you ask for sort of a psychological interpretation of why he's doing what he's doing it's complex because i think so much of it now is i'm going to do what i wanna do if i wanna go negotiate with the koreans what the hell i'm going to do it if i want to do tariffs bring me by darn tariffs if i want to take on a porn star on tv you know what i might just do that too and so i think we're in a whole new phase of the presidency that to me will be even wilder if you can imagine that in the first fifteen months so for the past couple of minds a lot of us have been looking at a race coming up in western pennsylvania following the alabama senate shocker that saw the republicans actually losing a senate seat there for the first time in twenty years we'll today all attention turns from one trump state to another trump region that is of course today when voters go to pennsylvania and they head to the polls they cast their ballot in the states closely watched eighteenth congressional district special election a new monmouth university poll shows democrat connor lamb with a slight edge over republican rix account who has just been trashed by absolutely everybody in the republican party they say he's a horrific candidate well in three different voting models this is what you see lamb leads account fifty one to forty five percent if today's turn out matches the democratic enthusiasm that was seen in other special elections over the past year even if the turnout is higher or lower lamb still leads although by varying margins of course as we.

"Do you think the white house might have called and put some pressure on again on the house intel committee to randomly select yesterday to look are leap before they look there is no reason for them to put this out yesterday they knew they were going to be making fools of themselves yesterday but what happened yesterday stormy daniels lawyers said hey we're giving your money back sixty minutes is moving forward with this interview and i think stormy daniels is figured out she can make a lot more money giving the one hundred thirty thousand dollars back and she can say alcee wants to say she says she has picture she says she has video she says she has every this story as friends that are watching at home as i told you last week in meek and told you last week this is the story the white house wants off the front pages of newspapers at all time so you know eddie i just wonder if this is the latest attempt by donald trump to do anything possible to keep that story off the front page of the newspaper well i think you're absolutely right joe i mean it's the kind of convergence of two factors i think there's the disaster that is the stormy daniel standings daniel story and of course the ongoing investigation as he kind of does that pinch their move as he kind of closes in on donald trump and what we see here in interesting sorts of ways and we've seen this with the house intel committee since the beginning is that politics trump's right no pun intended trump's the pursuit of truth and it's also the case i think that we live in a post fact world i mean joyce van sit last night that you know you can't you can debate the interpretation of the facts but you can't really debate the facts and what we see here is that in a post fact world partisan commitments rain and then i want to just kind of echo what representative castro said as well nunez just hit a sacrifice fly in order to bring donald trump home and bringing him home means is giving stormy daniels off off the front page so i think you're absolutely right joe politics trump everything in this instance and of course meanwhile while we're talking about that former trump campaign aide sam number revealed last night that alleged pame.

"Pretty one sided this is you know this in some ways it kind of reminds me of the unmasking scandal and of the fis amendment which is in it may be a stretch to compare these but the patterns seems vaguely similar which is the republican leadership on the house intelligence committee tries to find a short term political gain by rushing something out distracting headlines only two and we're speculating here but i think it's fair later down the road being barest by what they did in this case it seems pretty likely that the house intel leadership will be embarrassed if not humiliated by this product because there are two more reports sutter to come out on the same topic one is the senate intelligence committee in one of the more investigation whereas the house has wrapped up their business without talking to among others paul manafort regain its george popadopoulos without compelling testimony from key white house aides on these topics those two other committees and investigators will we'll have that data and they will reach diametrically different conclusions that appears and we'll look back and say well wow how do the house gop intelligence committee and appear in the answer will of course be that they rushed their investigation and it looks like they're providing political cover for the administration and eddie loud the question is why i ask the question why the timing now i it's really a leading question 'cause you could've asked the same question why donald trump russian to that meeting with the south koreans when he wasn't even supposed to be in there and immediately started blabbing about wanting to get together with kim jong own what did he not want on the front page of the newspaper he didn't want the stormy daniels story on the front page of the newspaper.

"This is a total collapse of that you have republicans not even talking to democrats issuing their own report and a report by the way the contradicts the president's own national security experts and the conclusions that they came to why man and you stop right there can you stop right now right there these members saw the testimony of four intelligence officers appointed by by donald trump testify before congress that russia tried to interfere in the election on behalf of donald trump they know that that's a matter of public record you can go into any court in the land and you could probably get judicial notice of it it's so obvious and yet they claim in this report made for talk radio that wasn't the case i mean it clearly they're having to ignore donald trump cia director they're having to their nsa director basically ignore everybody that testified before their own body whose job it is to figure this out so telly jim why did they lie when everybody knows they're lying that that the russians were trying to help donald trump and secondly why the rush to judgment why now well in terms of like why someone's lying in outlying i don't know if i can unpack that but what i can unpack is because donald trump wants this and wants it badly because if robert muller has a lot more than we know that he has at least on the public record so far it has a lot more and it has a lot more access to a lot more people than that committee had he's gonna need republicans to have his back and now he has a document that no matter what robert muller fines he could say listen our intelligence experts in congress came to a different conclusion who do you believe the republicans who looked at it or the liberals who looked at it that's going to be his argument i think that's why you see the timing that's why was rushed out they need to be able to discredit anything that robert mueller fines and so what does donald trump do he doesn't just tweet he tweets an all caps which is the text of reading i'm not guilty i'm not guilty republicans back and they just announced it on fox news of course of course sam stein it's very funny this whole idea that.
