Biden's New Mortgage Rule Punishes People With Good Credit

"New rule that's going to be instituted on May 1st. Around something called an LLP, a loan level price adjustment. Under the guise of equity pushing towards equity, Fannie and Freddie, which should have been disassembled after the 2008 financial collapse, the federal backed mortgages are now going to make a new rule. Congress didn't vote on this. There wasn't a hearing on this. This would not go through a reconciliation process. This did not go through amendments or adjustments or House representatives or senators. No, no, no, these are unelected bureaucrats making a unilateral decision to punish you if you have good credit. This right here is an all out penalty. A walloping. If you have decided to engage in delayed gratification and those of you maybe in this audience that have made bad decisions, gone on vacations, you can't afford max out your credit cards to go to four seasons, going to steakhouses and you have bad credit because you made bad decisions. Well, here's where the new regime comes in. Now all PAs are price adjustments to a loan reflecting how risky it is. If you have good credit, traditionally you pay less. Obviously, you've proven you can do it. If you have bad credit, well then you're going to pay more because you got to prove to the bank. You got to prove to the lender that you're a good bet. But no, no, no, no, because of equity. The whole game has changed. This new rule says that if you have bad credit, you pay less. And if you have good credit, you pay more. You heard me right. We are changing the game. We are the moral fabric of the country has already basically gone. But now this is just another reflection of the moral fabric being gone. No longer are we a country where we want to say good job. Dutiful citizen for saving money, not going out to eat every night for going to the grocery store for using coupons. For investing, now we are going to punish you if you've made good financial decisions.

"I visited Ukraine. They have absolutely no problems with showing and giving and they have been. An accounting of how the money has been spent. I don't think that anybody has a problem with that. They have meticulous meticulously kept those records. So we know how and I think that that's what would happen. I encourage members if they have questions, they can go into the skiff and look at some of it for themselves and to document it to see that the resources that we're giving to the Ukrainian is being utilized in an appropriate and proper manner. The weapons that we've given them and the money that we've been giving them for humanitarian help has been appropriately accounted for. And I don't think anyone would object to that. Behind the Scenes of the Greatest Tragedy in Congress

"So you have the CR, which I've talked about. You have an omnibus, which I think is another mistake because the animus takes these 12 appropriations bills and combines them into one big gigantic ball of crap. Nobody really knows what's in. And I'm saying this is someone who's been a part of it, but I have voted for these bills, even though there's some things in her, I didn't like as long as they didn't have true moral convictions for me in there. Again, the NSA, okay, because they would have, they would have things that affected my state, my district or the country, are spending for military that needed to be done. They met a lot of things in there. I didn't like just as some of the Democrats would vote for it because it had some things that they needed, but not everybody got what they want. The omnibus itself is just taking those 12 bills and showing that the Congress is a failure. Why do I say that? Remember the 12 bills I talked about. If they got the two top line numbers, the two top line numbers actually show how much they can spend. And then they do the budget just the 12 individual committees that I spoke of. The subcommittees. They bring what should happen is, is each of those bills should be brought to the floor and then amended by the other members of the House representatives and passed as a stand-alone Bill sent to the Senate in which they were then in their appropriate committee to do the same thing. And then if they, let's just say they do the defense Bill. The events appropriations bill. They get it out of the house. They determine what we're going to spend money on down to, you know, personnel, bullets, guns, tanks, whatever. Send it over to the Senate. And it says, okay, we agree with most of this. We don't agree with all of it. They put their bill together. Then what you do is you come together in a conference committee, which means you got members of the House, members of the Senate who come together and appropriations, and then hammer out what the solution is when they hammer out the solution, then the conference committee comes back to the house and to the Senate. You voted up or down. No amendments just up or down. That's what's supposed to happen. It should happen. That's the way regular order, which I hear a lot of my Republican colleagues talk about all the time. We need to get back to regular order. Well, that is regular order. It doesn't mean you're going to get everything you want. It doesn't mean that the house is going to get everything they want. It doesn't mean the Senate is going to get everything. Well, but in the end, the American people get a budget. Again, appropriations bill that funds a specific set of the government that has been vetted that has been went through and been voted on by the people sent there to do it. That's not happening. It hasn't happened. We have not passed 12 appropriation bills since this new process came in. All approximately 50 plus years ago, we've done it like three or four times since the 70s, folks. There's even by Washington standards, this is broken.

Let's Deal With What's Going on in the House of Representatives...

"Let's deal with what's going on in the House of Representatives right now. The House representatives has flipped to the Republicans is something we thought was going to happen. But in all fairness, it was not flipped in the way that many of us thought in a 15, 20, 25 seed advantage. It's going to be a four seat advantage. At best, and that's what it looks like. It's going to be a two 22 to two 13. Break down in the house. And we've already seen a member of the Democrat party passed away from Virginia. He had been sick with cancer. He passed away. So that leaving an open seat. So the Congress will start not with its full contingent of 435, but it's going to start with 434. Those kind of things happen all the time. You have members who resign, you have members who have unfortunately passed away. I mean, this happens. So when you're looking at a margin of four, frankly, we don't have to guess how that works. We can just simply look at the past two years because the past two years, that's the number that Nancy Pelosi is speaker has had to work with. I've made this statement many times on the podcast. I might get again today, I disagree with most every policy decision that Nancy Pelosi has ever come up with. I mean, we just have two completely different visions of government, two different divisions of how the government is operate. And we didn't see out on when I was in Congress, and we still don't see that. But I will say this from a speaker perspective with a limited majority, she is able to get a lot of things done that, frankly, we've not been able to do on the Republican side with larger majorities.

"I was very upset yesterday. I was yelling on my live stream, and I was telling people do not be cowards. Do not back down, do not what we call jump out. Republicans are doing well. We can not allow the Democrat party to act as if they're conducting a victory lap. If you look at our status in the Senate, we are no worse off than we were before the midterm election. If we get her to walk across the board, we are in the exact same situation, I believe, that we were before the selection or we're in the saint. We were in just a slight disadvantage. So there's no huge victory in the Senate. They had control of the Senate. They're going to have control of the Senate, no difference. The House of Representatives, they've lost essentially lost the House of Representatives. That's a huge win for the Republican Party. We are going to have the latitude to conduct investigations on Hunter Biden, investigations on Afghanistan, investigations on this new thing that has come out. FTX, I think they call FTX or FXT or FTX, the crypto company that has now gone bankrupt, lost billions of dollars in a week. And the CEO had given a fortune to Democrats. And there's the allegations that you cranian government invested in this crypto company as well or invested in money into the crypto company. And they lost billions of dollars. That's allegations. I don't know if there's any proof unequivocal to that, but that was the allegations. The House representatives can investigate those things.

Are We Going to Give Up and Give the Left Everything They Want?

"Lot of inspiration from Churchill because I know a lot of you feel as if we are all alone and that things are falling apart, especially after the unfortunate and just quite honestly, inexplicable news at times Carrie Lake losing independence on election day, voting machines going down on election day, the we can look to that sort of message of the only thing that the other side needs for their victory. The thing that they need for victory is for us to surrender and the question is, are we going to say that we will never surrender? I know a lot of you are exhausted and fatigued and many of you are just so sick and tired of this. You know, I was actually supposed to be right now in the UK. I was actually going to go visit blend in palace and all that. I canceled the whole thing. There's too much going on here in this country. America first is not just a slogan. You actually have to live out America first. I was going to go debate at the Oxford union. I was going to go speak at the Cambridge, all really nice stuff. You know, stuff that is art would be great honors and all those sorts of things. The country's in way too big of a crisis right now. Donald Trump is announcing for president tonight. We're going to be looking very closely at that. Obviously, what's going on in Arizona the attorney general's race, there's leadership elections in the house, the house representatives still not called. And so here we are. We need to ask ourselves the question, will we surrender? Are we just going to give up and give the left everything that they've been asking for?

Where Every Race Stands With Trafalgar Chief Pollster Robert Cahaly

"Now is Robert Haley from Trafalgar group, the most accurate polling company in the country. They have hit it right on the mark and I'm going to ask him a lot of questions about kind of races that are happening here. Robert, welcome to the Charlie Kirk show. Hey, it's great to be here, Charlie. Thank you. So let me ask you just a couple top line stuff. What are you seeing on the generic for the Republican Democrat for the House of Representatives. As you see it today, how do you believe the House representatives will kind of play out 63 days out from the midterms? Yeah, we see the Republicans up in the generic, but we also don't think the generic is necessarily this crystal ball, because what these comes down to particular races, Republicans tend to do better state by state and district by district than they do on our national analysis considering there are so many districts that are just one sided Democrat in so many more competitive, that lane Republicans. So we see a big pickup and but even in the generic, we show a consistent four or 5 point lead for the Republican. So what do you think that manifests as far as seat majority's potentially? And do you think that's going to expand as we get closer to election day? I don't know that the generic ballot is going to change and one of the main reasons is I'm sure you've noticed this. The left and left leaning polling organizations, whether they're from universities or whether they are part of the mainstream media are going to continue to skew these following averages with nonsense numbers. So it really doesn't matter if there's only two or three of us telling the truth out there. That generic ballot is going to continue to take toward the left. But as far as what's actually going to happen in the elections, no, I think the Republicans are going to pick up what we've seen in the last week or so. After the announcement of the student loan forgiveness, we've just seen a visceral. I mean, this is the biggest thing we've seen so far.

The House Has the Power of the Purse

"That Ford would talk about this in this term. And Ford talking about this in this term that he would believe in an incited so that the house has the power of the purse. While I was in the United States House representatives is always amazing to me how so many of my colleagues would want to talk about they didn't like this. They didn't like that. Whether it be funding for war or in the Middle East or whether it was for social programs or for expanding social programs that members of Congress seemed to forget that it was it was us who actually funded these programs. It actually started in the house. If you want to shut down and I'll just use the example here. If you wanted to shut down the involvement of the United States in a foreign conflict, then you know how you do it, you shut the money off. Now, members of college might not want to do that because then the consequences of that decision follow entirely upon the House and the Senate if they were to pass this to go to the president and then the president be forced to sign it or not sign it. This is the understanding of these roles. Now, again, you may be saying, well, if the president vetoes it and what's the issue? Well, if you've not watched lately, the House and the Senate, especially if they're together on a funding issues, can draw the government basically to a close. I mean, if something is so important that you feel like that it should not be happening is a member of the House of Representatives in particular where all funding measures start, you start with the power of the purse. I don't care where you are, what if you're in a family or in a government during a business, it all comes down to what you can afford, what you can't afford and who's allocates the money.

Joe Biden Clumsily Attempts to Execute the 'New World Order'

"Is clumsily and imprecisely executing on the new world order. Now, when you say that phrase new world order, you're usually called the conspiracy theorist. People say, ah, there's no such thing as the new world order, what do you like? Some sort of rapper where you put it in the song about Illuminati or whatever. Well, the new world order is now a phrase that is being repeated by people who just recently had the world government summit. So you could always count on us on this program to keep eyes on this globalist program coming up in late May, by the way. I believe May 22, May 23, May 24, is Davos two. Is that the World Economic Forum is going to have its official meeting and boy, we're going to be monitoring that very closely on this program. And you know what's interesting is most of the corporate media ignores it. Why? Maybe because they want actually what they're doing, they just don't want to get there as quickly. Well, the world the government summit manages to use the phrase new world order and it's opening in under 30 seconds. Play cut three. And the title of this session. Are we ready for a new world order? Well, that didn't take long. Right into it. Now the question is, are we ready? Joe Biden was supposed to be the guy that was the bridge. The problem and everybody knows this, at least everybody with an Obama and around those circles is that it's hard to execute the new execute the new world order. If you're about to lose, the House representatives in the most historic fashion since 1930. If you're about to get blown out of the water in every state local level, it's going to set back the globalist new world order agenda rather significantly.

"house representatives" Discussed on Opening Arguments

"The last point that you made I want to not let that pass by too easily. There is substantial academic literature that strongly suggests that professionals. The people who work for mutual funds are unable to pick stocks with any kind of accuracy. And so, you know, when you hire that investment, you know, can the investment guy and he's like, you know, over the last three years, I've made 11%. Yeah, exactly. We beat the S&P, that is, again, the academic literature strongly suggests that that's random, right? That that is all just normal. And then what happens is there's a bunch of people doing it so statistically some people are going to end up ahead and then they can market on the fact that they ended up ahead, but it may just be again. Statistical noise chance. Well, and I will say, I have put this evidence on at trial in my career, right? Represented. What are the things that I did when I was a partner at zuckerman, was I was often the guy they would call in on like complex math questions and so I knew we were friends for a reason. And so, you know, we had a case involving a hedge fund manager and we had to put up our expert and cross examine their expert on the various methodologies of stock picking and whether that was a productive enterprise or not. And so when I say that this is a prevalent position in the literature, I've read those papers, I have prepped an expert witness with respect to that information. So really, really good point. And then as we talked about with the congressman, it also I can not believe this, right? I'm glad it said the bill, it prohibits a member of Congress from serving on the board of a for profit company. The category of I can't believe we needed to. That's exactly right. And I want to add one more thing with respect to the way in which this bill operates, right? We've already talked about the 6 month safe harbor provision that you can sell for the first 6 months in office. So it's not you don't even have to lean in for me, by the way. There's a bunch that's too lenient in here. I'm gonna get to the second part that I think is a little bit too lenient. Again, I think deliberately so as a way of bringing in a broad based consensus. And so if you're opposed to this, what you're really saying is, I like that members of Congress are unregulated with respect to obvious conflicts of interest between their financial well-being and the well-being of the country. And I would just say to that, like, why put somebody in that position, you know? I like to think that the folks we elect at least on our side of the aisle, you know, if you said, hey, you have two votes that you can cast, right? If you cast vote number one, you're gonna make an additional $30 million. If you cash vote number two, you're gonna do what's best for the country. Right? Like, let's not put our elected representatives to that test. I don't want to play morality period tests as to whether I would cast a single vote against my interest for a legal $30 million gain. That'd be real hard for anybody to turn down. So let's not give them a chance to take it. The last thing I guess I just want to end with is that the enforcement, right? This is a civil penalty. So it's not criminal behavior. You're not talking about slapping the handcuffs on sitting members of Congress. And it is a civil penalty of not less than 10% of the value of the covered investment that was purchased or sold or the security in which a net short position was created in violation of this act as applicable. Does it do anything to their position in Congress? Or is that just still for the voters to handle? It says great question. It says that the select committee on ethics of the Senate and the committee on ethics of the House representatives are authorized to issue guidance on a, whether recovered person may hold a stock option or similar instrument that had not vested. Before the date on which the covered person was elected and B, the process and timeline for which a covered person shall no longer serve as an officer a member of any board of any for profit association corporation or other entity. So in other words, there's a narrowly circumscribed set of what the ethics committees for the House and the Senate can promulgate the rules that they can promulgate in connection with this bill. But if you're asking, does it specifically say the ethics committee shall do X? Shall recommend that you get kicked out of Congress for violating this act. It does not say that. That doesn't prevent the ethics committee from affirmatively voting in that way, right? They would have the discretion to say ex member of Congress violated flagrantly violated this act and therefore we recommend expulsion from the house or we recommend get a note be placed in their permanent record or whatever other kind of mostly worthless sanctions the ethics committee hands out. But that would be at the same discretion that we have right now. So yeah, that's a slightly long we did way of saying, if we got representative Christian Murthy back on the phone and said, would you like to beef up these three enforcement provisions, right? Greater fines, maybe a criminal activity, certainly a demand that somebody be at minimum censured, but repeat violators expelled from the house explicit terms of what happens if you decide to serve on the board anyway, because right now it's not clear what the remedy for that would be. I think he would say yes. And I think he would say, right, but what I'm trying to do is get us to at least agree to the principle that sitting members of Congress shouldn't trade in stocks. And so, you know, as you point out, if somebody's not on board with this, that's the position they're taking. They can not say, oh, well, you know, the devil's in the details and it really does this thing that would be bad for the market or whatever it doesn't. It is common to be against this and I am very disappointed in Pelosi. I hope that can change. And I imagine it could. Yeah, I think you're right. Oh, no social this firm has ever failed the bar exam. No kidding. And now it's time for T three BE Thomas takes the bar exam each and every week I attempt to answer a bar question using only my widths, but now it's the ethics exam. T three two E two, I don't know. Either way, let's see if I can be ethical again. Yeah, he's so far..

"Day on Aaron on Bloomberg quick take powered by more than 2700 journalists and analysts in over 120 countries I'm more crumpton This is Bloomberg David Thank you so much Mark Tomorrow Kathy huckel delivers her first state of the state address as governor of New York where she's expected to propose term limits and a ban on outside income for those serving in statewide office To set the stage for us and for the governor we welcome now Joe Crowley He's senior policy adviser to squire Patton Boggs mister Crowley served as a democratic representative from the state of New York for 20 years rising ahead the House democratic caucus First of all happy new year Joe Great to have you back with us Give us a sense of Kathy hoku and what she has done so far what she has to say tomorrow Well thank you David happy new year to you and all the folks at Bloomberg I should also I serve in 12 years in the New York State legislature the assembly So I'm very familiar with this speech when Mario Cuomo was governor and George pataki What I could say is that so far Cathy has done a pretty good job of studying the ship of states so to speak She's come into her office during very very turbulent times historical times not only for New York State and New York City but for the country at large with COVID the way in which she became governor as well So I do think that this is a major speech for her Obviously the first woman to hold this office But so far I think she's done a very very good job in terms of studying the ship of state and bringing calm and I think building the relationship she needs to with the state legislature certainly with the new mayor as well as the city council here in New York City We'll pause that just for a moment if you would Joe on the relationship with Eric Adams the new mayor of New York City The nature of that relationship how important is to both of them both the governor and the mayor No there's no question that it is critical We saw that this functionality that existed during the prior administration's both in the state and in the city And his real opportunity to reset there were tremendous needs in New York City during this COVID time especially But just writ large you know the city's dinner with a number of issues that the new bear is kind of the grapple with And it's gonna need to cooperation of the governor to do that as well as the state legislature So I do think this is critical Very important time for both the city and for the state but especially for Kathy Hogan's for her opportunity to kind of lay the ground there for a reelection Now she's going to have competition There's no question about it but having the attorney general bow out I think in some respects of tightened it a bit for her in terms of her chances for reelection Joe is a practical matter does the coronavirus give her and forgive the expression and opportunity to avoid some of the more controversial issues Otherwise she might have to dress such as bail reform which is very controversial as you know and really divides perhaps the party between the more progressives and the more moderates Well I think Kathy is a very practical person I know I've known her for many years We served together the state in the House representatives And I think it's so far she hasn't made any major mistakes And I think that's what folks are looking for was someone who's come in kind of green and the executive position And yet at this time she is really not many mistakes of any at all And so I think that that is something that people looking at as well But look you're heading into a very very interesting political year 2022 The midterm elections for the House representatives every state assembly and state Senate seat is up for reelection as well as every state office attorney general and controller as well as the governor So it's going to be a really interesting year to watch I think but so far from my calculus I think that local has done admirable job It's going to be a very interesting year to watch for your old House of Representatives as well on national national basis Both because of the midterm elections you talk about but also the build back better The question of voting rights what do you think Congress is a practical matter can get done in this midterm election year It's going to be awfully political It will be but I think we can look to first of all the president's first State of the Union address which will take place sometime early this year That detail has yet to be worked out with the House representatives But I think that President Biden wants to come in there kind of and maybe in a kind of a victorious way having not only passed the bipartisan the bipolar infrastructure Bill but also getting something done in terms of the build back better Bill It won't be the 3 billion sorry the $3 trillion bill that a lot of Democrats are looking for But I have to say this David at $1.5 trillion bill is nothing to sneeze at It is monumental It is historical Even if they did a $1 trillion these numbers are astronomical There's nothing that I was dealing with when I was in the House representatives quite frankly Is it there for the taking Is it clear that you could get a bill with Joe Manchin West Virginia Democrat and Christian cinema Arizona Democrats Not always clear to me that they're on the same page They're not always on the same page I know they're both well and I can tell you that kyrsten sinema is one tough cookie As is Joe Manchin But look it's gonna take some compromise and folks on the left and the middle of the Democratic Party to get that compromise But as I say we need to start talking about the positive aspects of whatever is in that package And I do think there was a path towards that So the dimension has said that he would support something within the $1.5 trillion level or below And so I think that's what Democrats have to rationally look at this and maybe ratchet down some of their "Economic agenda I'm asking every House member member of the House representatives to vote yes On both these bills right now Send infrastructure Bill to my desk Send a bill back better bill of the Senate Let's build an incredible economic progress Build on what we already done because this will be such a boost when it occurs The president was delivering a speech on today's stronger than expected jobs report which we'll talk about a bit later on this hour with labor secretary Marty Walsh We want to go straight to Capitol Hill right now though and Eric wasson Bloomberg Congress reporter Eric wasson has been scouring the corridors of the capitol for news throughout the day And if you're not following on him on Twitter then you are missing out Eric It's great for you to stop your work for just a minute to talk to us here It looks like we're going to get a vote tonight I guess the question is when and does Nancy Pelosi have the numbers This has been a really topsy turvy day We've talked a lot about Democrats and disarray This has been one of the most incredible days I've ever seen as far as that disarray factor Plus it's calling for a vote on this bipartisan infrastructure Bill This is the third time they've tried to bring it to the floor but progressives are showing once again at their prepared to bring it down She's going to be ripping the votes on the floor right now trying to twist arms I think there are a couple votes away Big factor here is whether Republicans tend to 20 of them vote for it There's going to be a vote on this rule to bring for the 1.75 trillion Biden agenda but there's no sign that they're going to be able to vote on that anytime soon moderates want to see a full price tag on that which will be available until around Thanksgiving So you whip it but we don't know if it's going to pass today As you mentioned Eric we've been here a couple of times already Two three times already Does it feel different this time as Nancy Pelosi prepared to stick her neck out a little bit and actually bring this to a vote without necessarily knowing how many Republicans could offset progressives Or does this come down to the math And then we'll decide whether we bring it to the floor I think perhaps we'll be more embarrassing bringing it to the floor but maybe she'll do that The president came up here twice and asked for them to pressure them and without explicitly saying it to bring this code up and progressive signal they can't go forward They're still trying to they don't trust that moderates will vote for their other social spending plan without taking this hostage Is a level of lack of trust within the party that's really quite astonishing And I think that the president is calling members of the progressive caucus calling other members who went on TV calling for them to come together This is going to be real test that his leadership as well Wait I don't know what kind of an urgency we have in the air here to get something done Congressman John garamendi told us a couple of minutes ago Eric that they're preparing for an all nighter Are they going to start dragon cots in Is it going to be one of those Or do you expect we'll have an up or down on this pretty soon I think it's going to go for a while We're just they already held the longest House vote in modern history today with the Republican motion to adjourn And it was held open for hours and hours as she was looking to vote So they're already breaking records here on Capitol Hill Eric Watson Bloomberg Congress reporter thanks for stopping down for us Eric for the update That's the real stuff That's real time for you there from Eric Watson with us on Bloomberg sound on The president appealing not only to lawmakers but appealing directly to the American people on this today Passing these bills will say clearly to the American people We hear your voices We're going to invest in your hopes help you secure a brighter future for yourself and for your families and make sure that America wins the future in the process Let's take another swing with the panel Rick Davis is with us along with Kevin walling today Our panel on this Friday Rick how much do you think the momentum here if we can call it that had to do with the president's appeal this morning It was one of the first things you mentioned Yeah I think the president once again has put his prestige on the line We've seen this now a couple of times two trips to the hill as Eric mentioned on his reporting But two speeches from The White House also and directly calling members I mean he's got everything on the line right now And it's been a horrible week He got back from the cop 26 without really any tangible progress only to be met with a huge and embarrassing loss in Virginia's governor's race So I got to believe that this is in The White House is thinking the last stand If they can't turn the corner today and do something so that it's positive in a week that's coming with no congressional news Then they're really sunk for this year And then it's midterms So this is really the president putting his prestige his politics on the line And I would admit I believed everything that Kevin walling has told me about Nancy Pelosi's incredible Houdini acts as speaker But I'm afraid some of that magic is starting to wear out Well I'll tell you what though Kevin if this is the last stand then we're going to bring this to a vote and see if it passes no It sounds like a real western that's going on here I think it is I don't think we have any delays last I'm an agreement with Rick It's been one of the toughest weeks for this president Although the job numbers were really good obviously The White House is taking the lead with that I'm really excited to hear your view with secretary Walsh And it's not just the president pulling out of the stocks actually working this vote obviously other cabinet secretaries are But I've seen him now in a way engage on this that I really haven't seen before Making these calls you just called represent a giant hall within the last 20 or so minutes She was pulled out of that progressive caucus huddle So I think.

"End some of the anxiety people are feeling about the economy That's how we give people some breathing room That's an addition to the infrastructure Bill I will create millions of jobs rebuilding the arteries of our economy And by the way these two bills add up to the largest effort to combat climate change in the history of the United States of America Right now we stand in the cusp of historic economic progress Two bills that together will create millions of jobs grow the economy and invest our nation and our people lower cost for families and turn climate crisis and opportunity And put us in a path not only to compete but to win the economic competition for the 21st century against all comers Capacity these bills will say clearly to the American people We hear your voices We're going to invest in your hopes help you secure a brighter future for yourself and for your families and make sure that America wins the future in the process I'm asking every House member member of the House representatives to vote yes On both these bills right now Send infrastructure Bill to my desk Send a bill back better build of the Senate Let's build an incredible economic progress Build on what we already done because this will be such a boost when it occurs Let's show the world that America's democracy can deliver and propel our economy forward Let's get this done I'll be back to answer some of your questions when they pass but my God bless you all and may God protect our troops Thank you.

It's nine thirty five on the west coast and the protesters are saying that They demand congress grant a pathway to citizenship for the eleven million undocumented people in the country holding up a banner saying overrides the parliamentarian They're not going to do that. There aren't enough votes to override the parliamentarian in the united states states meanwhile joe mansion just released a fantastic quote. I fell out laughing when i saw it. The joe manchin says that democrats can elect more liberals if they want a bill as high as three point five trillion dollars that he's never been one. It's not going well for progressives today. So let's spend a moment on this you. The democrats in the united states house representative are a gerontocracy. They are a bunch of old people. The average i mean put it this way the average age i should say that for the media age of a democratic chairman of a house committee is ten years older than their republican counterpart. Believe it or not. The republicans in the house of representatives are younger than the democrats. Dancy pelosi steny. Hoyer jim clyburn. The three ranking democrats are all over eighty. It's not that way. With the republicans and so income a number of young progressive firebrands in two thousand eighteen swept in with an anti-trump animus across the country. And they decide they gotta shake things up. They gotta decide they decide. They're gonna shake things up because The democrat schumer. A charge have been in washington for the law of these progressives believe. They're out of touch with everyone else. And the progressives are surrounded by a bubble that includes a media bubble where young reporters who lean to the left are yes cleaning these progressives. Yes queen yes every time. Alexandra cosby cortez. This tax the rich. Yes queen sleigh queen. The problem is multifaceted. These democratic progressives have never been in the minority. They do not they know not what it's like to be in the minority in congress that they have no idea. Nancy pelosi hoyer job clever. They do remember. These people have been there for a while. They have been there with the democrats controlled everything a forty year stretch and there were there. Were they lost it all to newt gingrich and they were there with they got it back in two thousand six and they were there would they lost to the in two thousand ten. They were there with a gained it again in two thousand eighteen. And they know they're losing again. They just know based on the data the incumbent of the white house his party tends to lose. They've got eight seats they they've really got a three seat..

"Yes that's exactly right. Let alone unanimous on the largest fine. They have ever recommended for anything like this in the history of the commission. I mean it's i again. We don't we don't know exactly how this will ultimately bear out including in the criminal cases related to this but those robo calls were so disgusting and so pernicious and had an effect that can't be undone except by preventing it from ever happening again through deterrence and this is designed to be that this is. This is a very very important decision. Thanks for that. Report ritual indeed thanks. Lawrence president biden delivered important speech today from the roosevelt room with an update on the number of people evacuated from afghanistan which proves once again that this is the best run evacuation from a war that america lost which is the only way to describe what this evacuation is. There's only one evacuation in our history that compares to this one and that is the military evacuation from vietnam in nineteen seventy five after we lost that war and by every measure this evacuation is going much much better than the vietnam evacuation and has been from the start. The simple truth is the american military does not know how to do a better job of evacuating from wars. That we lose. We'll have more on that later in this hour but we'd be getting now with what the president began with today in his very important speech. Just got off the telephone with leaders in the house today. The house representatives taken significant step toward making historic investments going to transform. America cut taxes for working families and position american me for long term long term growth. "Mitch mcconnell i think needs to make this fight and he needs to push for compromises with the democrats to raise the debt ceiling. When barack obama was president of the united states republicans forced. On barack obama sequestration in fact joe biden negotiated sequestration. Contrary what some people said conservatives in particular misstated it to a degree sequestration was actually a real world real time current budget cut of existing spending a lotta people. The rights in sequestration was a cut to future spinning. Actually wasn't it was cut to existing spending and we have got to cut existing spending now. Yes it is true if you're a progressive listing your yell at the radio that republicans dole taken seriously. Republicans blew the budget up to republicans only care about smaller government and controls on spinning when they're not in charge of the spending. It's true it's fair. I on the other hand have long favored cutting the budget and have consistently criticized republicans and democrats for big spending. I think republicans need to cut spending. I think republicans need to fight on sequestration in. Bring it back. They got rid of it. When trump was president they need to bring it back sequestration. We'll cut the defense budget. It will cut the education budget it will cut. The budget will cut all the budgets. Now here's the thing. A lot of my friends will pose. Sequestration originally opposed it because they were worried about the defense budget. The reality was that wind. Sequestration went effect. The defense department did cut the budget but the defense department cut the budget on the active military. They left all of their wasteful spending. They left all their grafton greed and corruption. They didn't cut any of that stuff out but because they didn't it could be better exposed and stamped out in the people who refused to do. It could be found out in fired. Sequestration is a fight republicans. You'd have been better. Not cave on. Sequestration is something they need to try to bring back and they've got the votes do it. You know the democrats can only afford to lose three votes in house. Representatives there's no guarantee that the senate reconciliation package can pass the house representatives. Because it's not enough for the progressives in it's too much for the moderates. Nancy pelosi is going to have to force them to vote for it.

"Thing this morning updated guidance from the CDC. It's a those of you received the Johnson and Johnson Corona virus vaccine. Keep an eye out for any symptoms of blood clots and be ready to seek immediate medical attention of the updated guidance posted on the CDC website said Johnson and Johnson's vaccine known and potential benefits outweigh its potential. It's however. Women younger than 50 years old should be aware of the rare but increased risk of the adverse event, and it should be aware that there are other options available. It suggests people monitor for blood clot or three weeks. After receiving in the single Johnson and Johnson does. Meanwhile, the U. S will begin sharing its entire stock of AstraZeneca covert 19 vaccines with the rest of the world once it clears, federal safety words reused. The AstraZeneca vaccine is widely in use across the globe, but it is yet to be authorized here in the U. S by the Food and Drug Administration. When will that happen? The White House press secretary in Jen Psaki, For any AstraZeneca doses are shipped from the United States. Theo FDA will confirm any such doses meet its expectations for product quality. This'll is being done in the context of the FBI's ongoing review of all doses made at the plant where these AstraZeneca doses were produced. Just to be clear. We have right now we have zero doses available of AstraZeneca. We're talking about what the FDA FDA needs to go through a review right to ensure the safety and its meeting our own bar in our own guidelines, and we expect there to be approximately 10 million doses that could be released if when the FDA it for when the FDA gives his concurrence, which could happen in the coming weeks, so this is not immediate. And there is an estimated additional 50 million doses that are in various stages of production. These could be completed in stages across May in June, our team our national security team, our covert team working with the State Department, others we're going to assess a range of request a range of needs around the world. But that's the timeline is to give you a sense. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo again refuses to resign

"Have been moving fast. In governor cuomo's ever expanding set of scandals of the past forty eight hours from the news that his office apparently reached out to a number of different former employees to see if they'd spoken to The first accuser which seems weird an intimidating and it turns out that a former aide says that it was in fact intimidating and she felt bewildered by it to yesterday during an emergency meeting and state assembly announcing is going to be Starting an impeachment inquiry involving both the allegations of sexual harassment and assault as well as the nursing death scandal to about forty percent of his entire parties members in the assembly in the senate signing on asking for him to immediately resign and then there was this morning when representative alexandria ocasio. Cortez tweeted that after two accounts of sexual assault four counts of harassment. The attorney general's investigation. Finding the governor's admitted nursing home data from the legislature in public saying we agree with the fifty five plus members of new york state legislature. That the governor must resign. There was a letter that she put out with congressman bowman then at least eleven of the democratic house representatives from new york called for him to resign and just including jerry nadler button adler by the way and then just as we were going live. Senators schumer and gillibrand both also said that. His time for the governor to resign. As of this afternoon he said that he would would not which is what they always say until they do but he seems like a fighter jank for. What do you think is he. Is he gonna stick around no matter how many people tell them if biden gets involved yeah. I'm really curious what you think. Francesca there's one part of this tournament so that's already interesting of they. There's nothing that i'm talking about. In regards to andrew cuomo he's establishment democrat extraordinary. and he. he's been wrong on so many issues. and he's attacked progressives and good meaning people in behind the scenes a thousand different ways and a he's a political apparatchik extraordinarily now he's claiming like oh i'm just a regular joe. Your name is cuomo governor governor. Don't pretend you're one of us okay. You're an ultimate insider. Any use insider system to attack all of your opponents. You've done it for decades and and as anna keeps pointing out rightfully so the guy caught four hundred million dollars for medicaid actually overall customer is slated to be two and a half billion dollars to talk about of doing it in the middle of the pandemic delayed for after the pandemic but some of the cuts had already that he had done was the reason why they didn't have enough hospital beds and that's why he then took. Two people from the hospital was put in in the nursing homes and then everybody died nursing homes and so for all those reasons he already was a terrible governor from a perspective of people who i was gonna say progresses but really anybody critique of him is correct is my point sexual harassment issue. The only thing i have here is that. And that's why i'm curious. Were both of you guys. Think about it part of me thinks okay yes. Let's go through. The process like seles. Allegation is groping. If that's if that's true that's he should be gone within the minute right. So that's not an that's not a question. The question is how are these. Six six is a lot on the other hand. If you remember al franken it had piled up to be a big number but every one of them was like a fake picture. We took her picture once and put his hand around my shoulder and they were like. Oh levitin mike though. That's not eleven right. That's let's have an investigation so there is a part of me that says is you know. Do we have a. We sure that these are all true. One hundred percent. We can act on it and i get the other point. Which is they all. Have to be one hundred percent true. There's six of them. It looks like we've got an obvious pattern here. So francesca what are you. Oh yeah no. There's when this first broke weeks ago. I was like i've never been more sure that there was a giant iceberg underneath this very very tiny little tip that we're seeing sticking out of the water. You knew the goal and just it's it's his. I don't know. I'm not trying to be anti talion as someone like. Don't don't go to the mafias a brand new things but like the guy in clearly in exactly all the reason that you said in the ways it. He's bullied around his political opponents for years in the ways that he is so trump being in that he's got an gotten everything from his father and then also in the cavalier ways because some of these incidents were while he was rising to stardom. Which i gotta say man. It's been real fun to watch him fall as someone who was never on board for the rise who was look. It's a doing the absolute bare minimum the absolute bare minimum thing. You should do believing in science locking locking things down even though. I don't even think he did that. Amazing of a job. Yes i said it like. It's been nice to watch like. Oh here's the real cuomo and and like it's funny to me that there are so many cuomo's around this country there are so many sort of middling mediocre like kind legacy politicians dynastic politicians. who escaped by they. They assault a couple people. They bully their opponents but they kind of then. Then they get applauded. They come out with a book and they're fine. But i feel like the meteoric rise that he had under covert and the way that he laid into it so much just set him. He set himself up. It's like you could have just the way that trump could have been absolutely fine. Just doing cameos on home alone. Five or whatever it was and then he had to go and run for president And now we're looking at his taxes. So look here's my thing about resignation. I feel like it's a little bit of an escape hatch. And i think for when it comes to actually having investigation actually and as painful it as it is like having the people came forward to testify or discuss it absolutely like not or at least have an investigation. I don't know what it would look like. it feels. There would be more accountability. And i think that so many creeps and so many predators getaway in the workplace because there's no accountability to begin with so i'm not even sure if immediate resignation is accountability. Do do you know what i'm saying. Yeah i actually francesca. I love that point in that gets the another problem in the political system. So cuomo keep saying. I you know i wanted attorney general to do. Finish the investigation as letitia james and if we all believed that our democracy was on the level and politicians warn politicians. I'd say definitely finished investigation. Because i wanted to if he did it and we get it then that gives us closure as opposed to well. He's resigning you to deny it forever. Because then they won't bother finishing the investigation et cetera. Right but the problem is i. Don't trust politicians so is cuomo part of the reason cuomo's doing because he wants to delay it and then he thinks if i can just delayed thousand other political maneuvers to avoid it and the and then he keeps saying he wants so much that i a wonder is fisher. James doesn't look like a political ally of cuomo based on her previous experience right but one if she is something we don't and then they a bs investigation. Those women took you know suffer a second injustice so you think yeah and i just think it's important to mention though that like the investigation of sexual assault or harassment claim. Is it so hard because it is always a. He said she said type of situation. Which is why we have. Things like the slogan survivors right And believe women which because you have predators who will always deny it. I do not foresee a future in which andrew cuomo admits. Anything that i can be sure of. We might hear more about the stories from the from the staffers and the and the people who were he victimized but i do not foresee him being. I guess i remember doing that. No it's not gonna happen so again. I just want set that up that it's not a fair you're never gonna get to the truth kind of thing.

"Our NPR team joining us today for analysis and context or national political correspondent Mara Liasson, National Justice correspondent Carrie Johnson and White House correspondent Aisha Roscoe. Welcome to you all. Happy to be here tomorrow. Happy to be here tomorrow. Let's start with you are our colleague Tamara Keith reported last night that Donald Trump was not so happy with his defense. I don't see why he would have been. The defense seemed bumbling and inept and Making it up as they went along of one point. They even said they changed their opening arguments because the House managers did such a good job. They also violated several of Trump's kind of bottom lines. They acknowledged that he had been defeated tomorrow. We're gonna have to stop you there. It sounds like this trial is getting underway and senators are taking me up. Mr President, the majority leader's recognized. Thank you, Mr President. Now, for the information of all senators, no motions were filed this morning. So we'll proceed to the House Managers presentation We anticipate to 10 minute breaks and a 45 minute dinner break around 6 P.m.. Pursuant to the provisions. The Senate resolution 47. Managers for the House Representatives, Senator Patrick Lee, Come on. Is the presiding officer presentation of the case. The Senate will now hear you. And Recognize Mr Manager Raskin to begin the presentation of the case for the house represented Mr asking. Thank you very much. Mr President. Members of the Senate Good morning. Good day. This is Maryland Congressman Jamie Raskin, the lead impeachment manager contest of lawyers or even worse, a competition between political parties. It's neither. It's a moment of truth for America. My late father, Marcus Raskin once wrote. Democracy needs a ground to stand upon in that ground is the truth. America needs the truth about ex President Trump's role and inciting the insurrection on January 6th because it threatened our government. It disrupted, it easily could have destroyed The peaceful transfer of power in the United States for the first time in 233 years. It was suggested yesterday by President Trump's Council that this is really like a very bad accident or a natural disaster. Were lots of people get injured or killed in society is just out looking for someone to blame. And, uh, that's a natural and normal human reaction, according to Presidents Council, But he says it's totally unfair in this case. President Trump, according to Mr Castor is essentially an innocent bystander who got swept up in this catastrophe but did nothing wrong In this assertion, Mr Castor unerringly echoes his client ex President Trump, who declared after the insurrection. His conduct in the affair was totally appropriate. Therefore, we can only assume He could do and would do the exact same thing again. Because he said his conduct was totally appropriate. So Now the factual inquiry of the trialist squarely posed for us. The jurisdictional constitutional issue is gone. Whether you were persuaded by the president's constitutional analysis yesterday or not. The Senate voted to reject it. And so the Senate is now properly exercising its jurisdiction and sitting as a court of impeachment conducting a trial. On the fax. We're having a trial on the fax. The House, says ex President Donald Trump. Incited a violent insurrection against Congress and the Constitution and the people. President's lawyers and the president say his conduct was totally appropriate. And he's essentially an innocent victim of circumstances, like the other innocent victims that will see getting caught up in all of the violence and chaos over the next several days. Evidence will be for you to see and hear in digest. The evidence will show you That ex President Trump was no innocent bystander. Evidence will show that he clearly incited the January 6th insurrection. Will show that Donald Trump's surrendered his role as commander in chief and became the Insider in chief. Dangerous insurrection. And this was is one of our colleagues put it so cogently on January 6th itself the greatest betrayal of the presidential oath in the history of the United States. Evidence will show you He saw it coming and was not remotely surprised by the violence. When the violence Inexorably and inevitably came as predicted and overran this body. The House of Representatives with chaos. We will show you that he completely abdicated his duty as commander in chief to stop the violence and protect the government. And protect our officers and protect our people. He violated his oath of office to preserve, protect and defend the constitution, the government and the people, the United States. Evidence will show you that he assembled, inflamed and incited his followers to descend upon the capital to stop this steel. To block vice president Pence. Congress from finalizing his opponents election victory. Over him. Will show That he had been warned that these followers were prepared for a violent attack targeting us at the Capitol through media reports, law enforcement reports and even arrests. In short, we will prove that the impeach president was no innocent bystander. His conduct was totally appropriate. Should be a standard for future presidents. That he incited this attack. He saw it coming. Joss. It may have felt like chaos and madness. But there was method in the madness that day. It was an organized attack on the counting of the electoral College votes in joint session of the United States Congress. To the 12th amendment and under the Electoral Count Act. To prevent Vice President Mike Pence and to prevent us From wood. From counting sufficient electoral college votes. To certify Joe Biden's victory of 306 to 232. In the Electoral college. Margin that President Trump had declared a landslide in 2016. When my colleague Mr Nagu speaks after me, he will set forth in detail the exact road map of all the evidence in the case, my fellow house managers and I will then take you through that evidence step by step. So everyone can see. Exactly how these events unfolded. I want to tell you a few key reasons right now. We know this case is not about blaming an innocent bystander. For the horrific violence and harm that took place on January sets. This is about holding accountable the person singularly responsible for inciting the attack. Let's start with December 12th. You will see during this trial, a man who praised and encouraged and cultivated violence. We have just begun to fight. He says, more than a month after the election has taken place. And that's before the second million Mega March, a rally that ended in serious violence. Even the burning of a church. Is the president forecast. It was only the beginning. December 19th 18 days before January sex, he told his base about where the battle would be that they would fight next January. 6 would be wild, he promised. Be there will be wild, said the president of the United States of America. And that too, turned out to be true. You'll see. In the days that followed, Donald Trump continued to aggressively promote January 6th to his followers. The event was scheduled at the pretty tight at the precise time that Congress would be meeting in joint session. Two. Count Electoral college votes and to finalize the 2020 presidential election. In fact, in the days leading up to the attack, you'll learn that there were countless social media post news stories. Most importantly, credible reports from the FBI in Capitol police that the thousands gathering for the president's Save America March. Were violent, organized with weapons and we're targeting the capital. This mob got organized so openly because, as they would later scream in these halls and as they posted on forms before the attack, they were sent here by the president. They were invited here by the president of the United States of America. And when they showed up Knowing of these reports that the crowd was angry and it was armed. Here's what Donald Trump told them. President Trump Whip the crowd into a frenzy exhorting followers if you don't fight like hell You're not going to have a country. Anymore. Many aims straight at the Capitol declaring, you'll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength and you have to be strong..

Mitch McConnell condemns Marjorie Taylor Greene's 'loony lies,'

"Most powerful Republican in Washington has distanced himself from one of the parties, conspiracy theorists. Mitch McConnell, the Senate Republican leader, critiqued a new lawmaker. In the other House, representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia. McConnell's written statement said a person who believes quote loony lies and conspiracy theories like that school shootings were staged is a quote cancer for the Republican Party. Green has promoted the elaborate con that is the Cuban on conspiracy theory. Reporters asked McConnell about this yesterday. I think adequately. Spoke out about how I feel about any effort to define the Republican Party in such a way. So, says the senator. But Green is in the house, where she's not the only Cuban on promoter and where Republican leaders looked over her record of false claims and decided that she should sit on the education committee. Democrats are now preparing to kick her off. And Republicans meet today to decide what to do.

"All right. We're back with you, Tom. Grecian 866 talk. I will certainly get you in here. Did you see this story? The members of the House Representatives. Republicans all Going around the metal detectors with their guns or in the case of fella, I'll have to find his name. There it is. Um From Maryland caution from Aaron Harris. He went through the metal detector and set it off with his gun. Yeah. The rules have been in place for 50 years. This is not something new. Yeah. You know, a member of Congress can't get a permit and carry in D c. I think Kerry even in his or her office, but not Onto the floor of the house. Has not been allowed. Am our good friend. Can ever Wrote something about this, I think is right on the money. And maybe that what we're seeing is a former virtue, signaling from some of the Republicans. Going around the metal detectors or getting caught in the middle detectors, knowing that nothing's gonna happen to them as a member of Congress. He's saying camp says. Look, he said, This is not a Second Amendment deal. They're not fighting for. Our second Amendment rights. They're fighting for their privilege. The privilege of carrying there and I think is right, because nothing you're saying well. Everybody in the United States, all legal gun owners should be able to carry on to the House floor. Understand that they should be able to It's good for us, but not for you. It's about trying to use that is posturing. And claiming that this is a strong Second Amendment. Advocacy move. Him rejects that. I think is right. Is an awful lot of Well, we're going to do this. The SEC amendment, so we're going to allow Extra Curie. Is a word in the middle of all that. That always bothers me. It's when they say we will allow Reject. The very premise that the government cannot allow Anything. On any level. In any subject matter anywhere. In my view. Basic premise of being an American. You're a citizen of the United States is that Everything. Is allowed. Until it's prohibited. And it may seem like a small point. In the main seem like I'm straining at gnats. But I would encourage you to give it some thought. Consider The difference in the mindset of saying well, Everything. Yeah. Said holding off everything is allowed unless it's prohibited or everything is prohibited unless it's allowed. That's what we're really talking about here. For the people who use the term allowed. The government allows us were allowed to carry here. We're allowed to do this. We'll stop. If you think about what you're saying, I think you will understand you're buying into the idea that everything is prohibited unless you Are permitted. Do it. Unless you get a permission. Permission slip Unless the government says yes, we will allow you. Do that others you're not. You can't do anything that you haven't say it said Mother. May I? Gotten permission to do it. Is this too fine a point. I don't think so, because I think what it does is it goes to the Mindset of what government is and the role of government in the role of citizens. We Give the government our government, our elected representatives, our paid employees. We voluntarily give them the ability to restrict certain things. We don't give them the ability to restrict everything and then open the door a crack now and then to allow us to do a few things. That's not how it works, and I think if you give us a thought, you'll agree that's not how we want it. You work, So when we say we're allowed to carry concealed, no That's the wrong way to think about it. The government prohibits us from carrying concealed without a permit. Whether or not you think it's a good idea is another subject..

Are Republicans or Democrats better for the stock market?

"When you're thinking about current events. We don't really know for sure how everything is going to play out at this point. I mean, we know that binds in the White House Democrats not have the tiebreaker, and Kamila Harris, the vice president, tied 50 50 there. And then, of course, the Democrats controlled by the Congress, House representatives controlled by the Democrats as well. Does the market really care if it's the Republican part of the Democratic Party? Do they are this Amar the markets More concerned with What are the policy's going to be? Maybe? Yeah, I think there's a lot of interesting is going on. Obviously a couple, you know, obviously what goes on in D. C. It's very disturbing, I guess, And it's easy for people get caught up in the noise and feel unsettled, right and the reality. It does build anxiety. And as things seem unsettled, so you know, I want to try to put some things in perspective because What I talk about with my clients and what I see happening, what's important to focus on But the reality is is Yeah. What do we know? Well, the Democrats have the majority and all three branches. But what's important, understand about all this is the market's care about policy, not party. It always has. And so when it comes to policy, bad policy is bad policy but is gonna wait and see what happens. We don't know what policies they're gonna roll out. Now. Our fear is that we'll get we'll swing way too far one way to the left for people and create some bad policies. Whatever. But the reality is is that's probably not going to happen. I mean, we are in the middle of a pandemic. Mark, you know, so Realities is what's happening now on what we see is because of that. What's going to be coming for sure is more stimulus. So we are going to have more stimulus. We're gonna have more checks. We're gonna have some stimulus on infrastructure spending and no tie those type of things. And so that's something that the market actually likes. Because in the pandemic We've created a You know, a situation where the government has to step in and you know, create the stimulus. So the markets waiting for that, But we're definitely going to see more

"Is there dated by hour, So if you remember something about when it was you confined it. They're also you'll find the stand alone pieces at the bottom. Let's go to Carl in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Coral, How are you? I'm doing just fine. And how are you today? I'm very well, thank you for asking. Hey, um, I'm trying to make this a short short as possible. I have a new Webster's 20th century 20th Century dictionary in front of me. I still believe in books and it's copyrighted 1979. And if I turned a It is that page to 40. There's three definitions for bully and the third definition or the third word of bully says, Uh, Uh, to act the bully towards to force doing something by threatening loudly, browbeating bulldozing. That kind of sounds like what leader of the House representatives is doing is Nancy Pelosi's picture there on that on that page. This is the 1979. So no, it's not. It should be. I was gonna say that. But the copyright was 1979 and the whole time. Sensi. It sent to your letter. Since all the different ones never once heard anybody called her a bowling, and that's exactly what she's doing. Well, good call Coral and I appreciate it. You're right. Nancy Pelosi is a boy in the definitive sense. So his Schumer so we shift s or the usual suspects, But it's a It's a double edged sword. It's hypocritical they can get away with it. Republicans. Can't you know if Republicans air forceful in their beliefs, their called boys If Nancy Pelosi or the Democrats browbeat, I think you use that word. Browbeat their opponents in the submission. Then they're not called bullies. They're called, You know there. Those are the harbingers of for the American people. It's look, it's zipper critical. It's a double standard in that's an under underestimation of double standard. You're absolutely right. I appreciate it very much kin and course I can Nick in. Thank you for waiting. Okay. Thank you for taking my call Rex. There's so many things that I would love to discuss with you. But today Um, I think you're missing the point. You just witnessed a man who didn't have a snowball's chance in hell being sworn in as the president of the United States. Now we have Ted Cruz. I'm sorry, Uh, Robert Francis O'Rourke thinking that he's going to run for governor of our state. We all know who was putting them up to this. And if they stole the U. S election, do you not think that they can do the same thing in Texas? That's a that's a reasonable question. So I'm question I thank you for the call. Can somebody asked me that when I first started to show today? Um and my answer was no. And I'll tell you why. We have a history here in the state of Texas of protecting the integrity of a free and open election. In a good example of that are the Dominion voting machines, no matter what you may think. As far as what role they played in the presidential election. Here in Texas. We tested the Dominion voting machines once. Didn't like the outcome, so we tested them again still didn't like the outcome. The state of Texas tested the Dominion voting machines three separate times and didn't feel they were reliable enough accurate enough. And they were to open to manipulation. So we 86 them. We said we're not going to use him in the state of Texas. We've got a lot more eyes in the state of Texas. Concerned about the integrity of an election, then perhaps other states? Well, not perhaps, absolutely. We have more eyes than other states, because, um, you know, Texas is unique in that regard. We understand what it's like. If your state goes the way of the blue wave of democratic control. We're pro gun were pro life or pro. God were pro, uh, keeping our borders secure, accepted those that come in legally. We're all those things in many, many more and I can't help but believe we've got the right people in the right spot. As far as elections go to make sure they're free, fair and open. Eyes that always going to be the case. Maybe not. I can't say that with any any surety, But I will say at this point in time, if you're looking for open, free and fair election, I think the state of Texas is where you need to be Kim. Very good call. I appreciate it, sir. We'll take you to the W B A P newsroom the very latest breaking news. I'm Rick Roberts News talking 20 w B, A P and Mercedes Benz of play..

"Provides incredible entertainment for the world, doesn't it? It's the people here are really something there. Just a minute we got Nancy Pelosi. She's the speaker again. Her face still doesn't work. And she got that big cartoon gavel and And Kevin McCarthy, congressman, the Republican leader in the House of Representatives gave her a little bit of what for a little bit of what for before passing the cartoon gavel over two didn't whack her in the head with it or anything like that, but But gave her a couple of choice words about what had she is, and he was on the television this morning. Also Congressman Kevin McCarthy and and take him some more shots about how Pelosi last time our most unproductive Congress and 50 years, which is probably the best thing for America. Lost lots of seats in the house, even though it's supposed to be a big landslide for them, and they and Kevin McCarthy pointed out today, the only thing in the Democrat party that grew let's leave Bill Clinton out of it is the squad. You know the squad, the death squad in the Democratic Party and, of course, Republican ranks in the House of Representatives Group considerably. We've got a lot going on. In Washington, not just all that stuff, but there was a little bit of entertainment out of the House representatives yesterday. Enemy. In the meantime, tomorrow is Tuesday. Of course, and we have the big double runoff election or elections in the state of Georgia, and the media is already high fiving and celebrating. They've They've already got it in the bag for the Democrats say, Oh, well, the early voting this early voting thing I'm really I don't think this early voting thing is such a great idea that Month long vote that's opened on the mail out ballots and all this time the Democrats have done a good job over the last year year and a half through lawsuits and corrupt action and various states by bureaucrats to corrupt everything about our system of electing our leaders. And they like it that way, and the media does, too, because what's the difference? Honestly? But it's Adam Schiff. He's back in the clover. And and Eric Swalwell. He's in the gravy, too. That doesn't matter. He's done a little, You know, Boom boom number one boom boom with that Chinese spy for Who knows how long it's classified, though he can't talk about it. And he's back on the intelligence committee is back. He's on the Intelligence Committee on the House of Representatives. Never mind that old Chinese by thing, You know, that hasn't even fazed him on Lee. One reporter even asked him a question about it. It was a Fox news producer outside his home on Capitol Hill. On he was coming back in. I think it was early morning. Probably the walk of shame coming from another spies has, and he he was He looked like welcome Shame. And one Fox producer asked him one or two questions about the Chinese spy and that's it. You know, it says so. You're wet. You're dating a Chinese by is that Get into Then your father and your brother is still Facebook friends with the Chinese by the honeypot. Who's going around America having sex given up the You know the Hutu, everybody well Democrats anyway. And thats says that's a non story that's just swept under the rug. It is good to be a Democrat. You can have affairs with Chinese spies all you want when you're a Democrat and a member of Congress on the Intelligence Committee in the House representative, and it's not even a story. Not even a news story. Listen, May I'm already off to the races? So tomorrow? We've got the big the big double run off for the control of the United States Senate. And that's AH Big deal in cash. Edmund phone along. I think most people have big deal and the Republicans need to hold one of the seats the Democrats as CNN. They're already high fiving because the early vote you know they love the early but then they liked the late vote even better. That's really the late vote really wanted for him last time around. You know in the presidential election probably heard something about that, too. And the the the Democrats, they say, Well by that, I mean the media. You know, they say, Well, it looks like the early vote is 55% women and that and that favors the Democrats because I don't know abortion, I think And then it Z disproportionate number of African Americans voting on that favors the Democrats because, you know the other party of the Confederacy and slavery and lynching and Jim Crow. Standing in schoolhouse doors. So naturally, you know, you got it got the got a lock on the black vote there. It's a funny thing. So the Democrats are already high fiving and the media that they're going to have control of the Senate and then lunch bucket. Joe's going to be sworn in as president. He's going toe fall off the stage at the inauguration because he doesn't know where he is. And boy, these are interesting times. Have I mentioned that we are at 8886309625888630? 9625 and I should mention Also last week, my friend James T. Harris was sitting in and I don't make a habit of listening to my radio show when I'm not there. And of course, it's hard for me to listen to the show. When when I am here. "Not been able to do it. So President Trump Step up. God bless America. We got protect our troops. And all those folks to the Capitals. We're trying to preserve order. Thank you. And I'm sorry to have kept you waiting to see what happens now. President elect Joe Biden there from Delaware, calling on the president to go on TV. To demand an end to everything that we have been seeing going on at the U. S cap. Would that be like our not ordering the code Red though? Wouldn't that be like I'm just saying this to say it, But wink wink, you know what I want you to do. I don't know people, regardless of what he says. People going to take it that way. I actually think is what we're doing. All right. So unfortunately, the former vice president so rudely interrupted Brian suits and we were just talking about two different things here. Brian Number one. How does this work? The D C National Guard is coming in. And now I understand. The Virginia National Guard is also gonna be headed to the state capital. Sorry to the U. S. Capitol. Sorry. Yeah, Let me just say good job, Joe. That ought to do it. Uh, that should have been a phone call to the Oval Office because he just threw Gauntlet in front of Trump. You know, saying, Hey, look who's on national TV first. Now you do it, and that's unfortunately that should have been a private phone call to trump. But but any U um yes, normally The National Guard reports to the governor. The governor is in control of his national guard and the governor of every state in territory can call them up for natural disaster. Insurrection, Civil unrest You know, etcetera D C is a unique animal in that in D. C. They district has a national guard. But the answer Only to the president who decades ago it was, um in the authority was divest it down to the secretary defense and then a a commanding general who answers only to the president. So it's really unique in that. But the the the mayor of D C can request all she wants. The second death is the one who says Yeah, you know, deploy them for civil unrest, And apparently, that's been done next door. The state of Virginia, the governor activates his national Guard for state assistance like Nevada sends guys into California for fire fighting, you know, and all that That's a Zilong is there on a state mission? But they're on the state mission going into federal territory, So that's really weird. I mean, remember the board the border lines in Portland when and teeth that were throwing rocks at federal marshals. And people were going. They were getting upset because the federal marshals then had the right to walk down the street a Portland and put pull you off the street and arrest you and and so that Z. What's really, really, you know, kind of weird about this and the Pentagon was really wishing to avoid uniforms, military uniforms on the street. They didn't like what happened in in June, Um and, um July and this crazy and I read that too earlier and it makes sense to me, but it's now it's coming across that, like the government will deploy the military on Black people, but on white people, they will stand down. That's the narrative that that's that's happening today. Yeah, and I mean, you know, I would just ask, you know all the all the dead enders for Trump. If you saw Antifa doing this, what would you say? I mean, this is a fundamental lack of understanding about how the U. S Constitution works. Um, and they really need to re read it. And think real hard about it. There's nothing unconstitutional has happened. And when I took an also been listening, and then later, a oath of commissioning, I swore Tonto support defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic. And if you're breaking windows in the house representative today, you're a domestic enemy of the U. S Constitution. And I'd have no problem giving you a mahogany shampoo. If so, ordered to give you a mahogany shampoo. Or if I was ordered to tell my men to deploy the mahogany shampoo and start going whack, whack, Not a problem. Um, Now there's a weird irony. I got an email that said that we you know, in talking about this. We are misunderstanding what the people of the capital are doing in that they're trying to prevent us from becoming a third world country. And I thought of all of the images that are similar to this people taking over a government building like this. That's the perfect example of a third world country breaking into a legislative building like this and, you know, holding people hostage etcetera. Yeah. A month ago, The people of Armenia overran their prime minister in Yerevan because he'd just lost half the country in a incompetent, You know, war. They wound up partying in his office and he ran away and that's just not how you do it. That's not what they didn't Ukraine. That's what they do in Taiwan, apparently every 2.5 years or something. And then his Wayland. Yeah, I just We don't. We don't do that on And all this and Of course, is leading the headlines in Tehran on the whole thing. And it is abso absolutely unnecessary. Also, the other thing that I resent about this is it puts soldiers in a position where they have to, possibly later on tonight Use Force nonlethal. Hopefully against American citizens who don't understand how article to works of the U. S Constitution and and that that I really resent them for doing because these are the people who support the troops and the whole thing as I'm told all the time, but you're putting troops in a position. These were people who were driving FedEx trucks yesterday. Now they're in a position where they have to Marshall your goofy ass out of the rotunda because you fell asleep in seventh grade civics. I NBC News is reporting at least one I e. D has been found on Capitol Hill grounds. So we've got that going for us, which is nice. Well, drive through one kilometer and consolidate on the other side of the ambush. That's where that's just we did. The other deal is, and I mean, you know, I say this because I've been getting Three. Why don't you love trump more? You know emails since 2016 listen, that guy who incited this needs to go on national TV or physically go down there and he can call himself a hero or whatever. Not that guy that he's fighting against. Um yeah, there's no other way to paint this. That crowd wouldn't have walked out of the House representatives if he didn't tell them to do that. He doesn't need a disclaimer and say Oh, by the way, when you get there, everybody calm down. He knew exactly what they would do. So I folks, you know what you are the you unleash the Kraken on November. 6. I've been saying since November. You haven't even seen the s show yet. The sun isn't down there yet, you know, And we do. We still have what we have. Ah, 13 days to the 20th you It'll be interesting because we've only got about an hour and a half before Muriel Bowser, the mayor of DCs curfew goes into effect. Whatever Whatever impact the way that has, we have no idea. And she was also the base for Shannon. I wasn't she? Yes, Everybody knows her history in bed dominated singing tone. I don't know how people have news alerts on their phones, but this is going to make it better. I don't think that the deputy that the Democrats will that the Democrats will can quote control Congress for the first time in a decade that Asaf is one the Senate's runoff there in Georgia, so both Democrats won Georgia, and that's not going to make things better..
