urged his party get some facts first particularly from the inspector general it's the house I think we need to get the IG report we can see what's in that pressed on impeachment and whether was politically risky my point is you can talk about impeachment all you want we need to get a fax Ben Karten same Joe Manchin is not taken a position Chris Kunze arguing that is critical for us to get to the bottom. why are they interested in what Biden did. why are they interested in Hillary's Russian you know dot CA. a Russian interference she paid for why are they interested in that dirty unverified dossier used to spy on a on a presidential campaign transition and then presidency the DOJ by the way concluded president was not asking of anything of value that came out also today senior department of justice official the only criminal violation being considered was the campaign finance law on the DOJ's criminal division concluded the best evidence did not and could not make any criminal finance violation under the statute. you know you have all also the whistle blowers attorney once worked for the trump impeachment. later Hillary Clinton let's see there is a shocking they have an agenda long time democratic strategist calls impeachment a disaster for the party and that would be Hank shine cough is not an idiot I can tell you that I don't agree with him but he's not an idiot said it's a national spectacle that will make either people either defend the presidency or tune out the incessant banging about it doesn't help stick with the issues even Bob Mulholland Democratic National Committee member said absent trump being caught in a trunk with a young boy impeachment is a political disaster for us Democrats enough exact that agree with that but whatever but this is where they they now see this for what is it you know this is it New York Post at a great headline on this it's like a lousy sequel to the Russian collusion controversy in conspiracy theories I mean that it's that like a bad knock off and a quick to accept this time they were gonna wait there just and we don't need a special what is going to go right to it all that's what we're gonna do and how is this impacting the twenty twenty election will meet the Democrats no impeachment cheerleader that's Hillary Clinton she's going to let's impeach up Biden's lead is collapsing in another national poll I think I think the Democrats have already decided Biden's done there's no way he's fit to make this run now they're going to plan B. in plan B. for them seems to be Elizabeth Warren so if Biden as collateral damage in their in their attempt to draw this in the trump they don't care. showing Biden in trouble in the first three primary states thanks that would be okay we know the caucus state of Iowa well Biden's now trailing Elizabeth Warren officially and he's trailing by the way in the first primary state of New Hampshire is South Carolina what we call the fire wall is showing signs of cracking there as well and I think it's only gonna be. you know I'm van trump according to Rasmussen leads Biden by four points Biden's done. Democrats are gonna throw him overboard over the whole thing they don't want any part of it so he's in trouble pretty much all across the board Sanders by the way we have a great thing from him today billionaires should not exist now he's gonna up the what wealth tax now remember that's the other bite at the apple after you pay just sixty five cents in New York of every dollar you make in taxes and now they're gonna come back if you save too much money was going to take a percent more they gonna legalize stealing we're going to empower our government to steal other people's citizens money so they can pay for their radical ninety four trillion dollar you know new green dealing get rid of cars and oil and gas the lifeblood of our economy notice Biden yesterday Biden Hey want to take any questions Biden knows the minute he really gets question it all goes back to hunter now doesn't it and hunter Biden and he had no experience and the amount of money is obscene on every level and I don't think they're ever going to be able to overcome that all right so let me go through this I'm not gonna spend a lot of time on the I. congradulations the president says a great victory we all watched you did a terrific job he came from behind you are given much of a chance she won easily congratulations you are you're absolutely right we did win big worked hard and I got to confess I had an opportunity to learn from you this is president Zelinsky we use quite a few of your skills and knowledge and were able to use it as an example in our election and we're in a unique position that we were able to achieve unique success and I am able to tell you the following the first time you call me to congratulate me when I won the presidential election the second time you're now calling me well my party won the parliamentary election I think I should run more often so you can call me more often they're having a friendly call. trump laughing very good idea I think your country's very happy about that yes Sir to tell you the truth we're trying to work hard because we want to drain the swamp here in our country we brought in many new people not the old politicians not the typical politicians we want to have a new format and a new type of government your grade teacher for us in that president says well it's very nice you to say I will say that we do a lot for your crane and we spent a lot of effort a lot of time much more than European countries are doing and they should be helping you more than we are more than they are Germany does almost nothing for you all they do is talk that's part that's trump I think it's something that you should really ask them about when I was speaking Angela Merkel is the president she talks Ukraine but she doesn't do anything lot of European countries of the same it's something that you may want to look at what the United States has been very good to Ukraine I wouldn't say it its its route research I wouldn't say that it's reciprocal necessarily because things are happening that are not good but the United States has been very good to Ukraine presidents fighting for his country any problem with that I don't have any yes you're absolutely right not only a hundred percent of a thousand percent I can tell you the following I talked to Merkel I did meet with I also met and talked with the crown I told them that they're not doing quite as much as they need to be doing on the issues with sanctions they're not enforcing the sanctions are not working as much as they should work for Ukraine it turns out that even though logically the European Union should be our biggest partner technically it's the United States is a much bigger partner than the European Union and I'm very grateful to you for that because the United States is doing quite a lot for Ukraine much more than the European Union especially when we're talking about sanctions against Russian pro federation etcetera etcetera and I like to thank you for your support on the fans were ready continue to cooperate for the next step specifically almost ready to buy more javelins from the United States for depends. purposes presence that I would like you to do us a favor though because our country has been through a lot a new Cray knows a lot about it now remember John Solomon talked about they have evidence of election interference in twenty sixteen remember that nobody else in the mob reported it they wanted to give it to us nobody was taking it and I'd like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine they say crowd strike I guess you have one of your wealthy people the server he was like I don't know what it is you crane has it or something there are a lot of things that one on the whole situation and I think your surrounding yourself with some of the same people I would like to have the Attorney General call on you or your people now remember president knows about the election interference evidence where the Ukraine is admitting that they help Hillary Clinton. that's a big part of it and I like that the Attorney General call your people or your or your people and I like to get to the bottom of the truth okay now I go back to what I said at the beginning of the program I talked an awful lot of lawyers today does not one AS one constitutional turning friend of mine is that the operative language I would like you to find out what happened. and he said he had every right to find out why the prosecutor was fired every right to find out if there was election interference any right to find out presidents been watching all these investigations and the saw Biden's work in a fire the prosecutor. so I think what the president is doing here is the right thing for us. and then he goes on to say. I'm let's see elastic off now we know that the Attorney General was never told the thing by the president. and he said there are there's a lot to talk about Biden's son how did he know that because by the stop the prosecution trump says in a lot of people a lot of people want to find out about. about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great in other words Diddy leverage American tax dollars did he sell out this country to save his son from an investigation when he's getting paid millions of dollars in a field that he has no.

"For more on the ongoing, litigation between congress and the White House, check out his article on our website at WSJ dot com. Now onto some more headlines from the Wall Street Journal. The Trump administration has unveiled a sixteen billion dollar aid program to help US farmers amid ongoing trade disputes, US, farmers are expected to face a tougher time selling crops to China after trade talks between the two countries broke down earlier this month. US farmers have already been hard hit by the protracted trade battle, which comes amid a downturn. The farm belt is also still recovering from devastating flooding this year. Joining me now via Skype from Chicago. With more details is Wall Street Journal reporter Jacob bungee Jacob before we get into the challenges ahead, just how severe has this year been for US farmers in terms of the weather. This has been one of the most tough years in a lot of farmers memories. And the records show that in terms of moisture is suspend one of the toughest years ever, and the problems have been on a number of different. Fronts over the winter. There is an awful lot of snow. There was cold weather, and that led to flooding in a lot of parts of the farm belts, and this being a problem, not just for farmers, but for the companies that use crops around the companies that process crops, and the different products had problems around their facilities rail lines being washed out the rivers overflowing, the banks and making it hard to move barges around, for instance. But more recently, the problems have been just the fact that there's been too much rain for farmers to get out in their fields to do things like applying herbicides before they plants to planting seeds is just been awful hard for anybody to to get any work done so far. How are those conditions affecting deliveries especially as we look ahead to the summer season? Well, a lot of farmers place orders for seeds and for chemicals. Well in advance of the planting season, but they may not take deliveries of those seeds in products and till shortly before they are going to get out into the field. And the trouble for the agricultural companies, that sell, these funds supplies has been the farmers have been calling them up saying, I can't get out, don't bring the stuff and that leaves farmers with a little bit more time to try and decide they're gonna plan something difference, do they decide not to plant at all? Which is a question that a lot of farmers are looking at right now. And so for the companies that sell a cultural products like Cortez, which is the agriculture division of Dow Duponts for Bayer. For instance, the fertilizer. Companies like nutrient like CF industries in mosaic. They've been having trouble getting farmers to actually buy the stuff and get out into the field because they just to wets. There's little spots where they're able to, to get out and do some work, but they're just so far behind, and this year's challenges, also come amid a year downturn for farmers, as well as continued trade concerns will. That's right. The farmers have been having an awfully tough time really for the last four or five years. And that's just the simple fact that the harvests have been so big not just the United States, but in some of the other big cultural producing countries around the world like Brazil Argentina, for example, this is left the world with an awfully high supply of basic agricultural commodities like soybeans and corn. And it pushes down prices in so. It's left. The farmers really challenged as far as their income goes. And when the farmers don't have an awful lot of money to spend that makes it hard for the companies selling seeds and tractors and pesticides fertilizer makes it hard for them to raise prices makes it hard for them to maintain prices in some cases. And so it really flows through the system when there's a downturn like that you add on top of that the trade disputes, that have led to declining prices and declining export sales in some of the biggest USA cultural commodities from soybeans to pork and dairy products. And as just been awfully difficult even before the weather here, this spring, as Wall Street Journal reporter Jacob bungee joining us via Skype from Chicago with more on the challenges in the US 'farm-belt Jacob. Thank you so much. Thanks a lot. And that's what's news for this afternoon. I'm an NRI for totally. For the Wall Street Journal.

And as just been awfully difficult even before the weather here, this spring,

House Intelligence Panel, Justice Department Reach Deal for Mueller Documents

"US Justice department has agreed to hand over documents related to the Muller report over to the house intelligence committee by the end of next week. The documents cover twelve categories of counter intelligence and foreign intelligence materials. Joining me now from the department of Justice is Wall Street Journal reporter, Sadie Gherman city, this marks something of an inroad for house lawmakers who've been seeking documents related to the Muller report, a President Trump has vowed to fight any subpoenas related to that report. So how did house lawmakers and the DOJ reach this agreement? Well, this is the house intelligence committee, and that documents that the Justice department has agreed to produce relate to the underlying, intelligent and classified info, that is in the report, not the grand jury material that is still barred by law from being released, so it is definitely progress. But the House Judiciary committee, which is seeking all of the information and the underlying the evidence is still being stone walled city. Broadly, speak. The documents cover counterintelligence and foreign intelligence materials. What do we know if anything about the information contained in those documents? Well, that's waiting to be a lot of information related to the first half of molar fort which has to do with Russian interference in the election. So they're going to get a lot more information about what those efforts look like that's where the reductions largely were. So that's what we can glean from that society. What happens next? Why are Democrats seeking this material? Well, Democrats have said they need this. They need access to this counterintelligence because they need it to protect. They need to know more about attempts at espionage, and they cite national security reasons for needing this information. But it also comes at a time when House Democrats are starting to talk about again about impeachment proceedings so you know, could add fuel to the fire for that effort, but they are arguing that they need them for legitimate law enforcement reasons, CD this also comes as tensions, or again, rising between Democrats on the White House. With house speaker, Nancy Pelosi accusing the president of a cover up. And the president refusing to work with Democrats on other issues until they finish investigating them. So tensions are certainly still high, and they're definitely still high with the Justice department to the House Judiciary committee has not had the same amount of success getting information from the Justice department still, you know, hasn't said that it's backing off its attempts to hold him in contempt for refusing to release the entire Muller reports. And there's no indication that the attorney general is willing to back down either. So this is just one minor development in a larger tug of war between congress and the Trump administration.

"You gotta have a little faith. The constitution of the United States. I have plenty of faith in the constitution of the United States. That's the whole point. So do I and that's why I feel like constitution says basically that. The commander in chief or the chief executive officer or the president of the United States players. A. Allergic. Say about Nancy Pelosi for the speaker. Of the house congress to. Get permission. To give it to the president. Well, I know that. Well, I don't think she knows it. Well, they find loopholes. They find loopholes John. And that's what they do. They're finding loopholes. Once again, we go back to veto veto. Then we go back to go back to suing. We go to the supreme court says it's ping pong, and we're gonna paint mode for a long time. Okay. Yeah. Veto veto. What's that John? A lot of faith in the constitution. It's not a perfect document. But. I think it's as close to perfect as you're gonna get. Well, it's like a compass. You can use a compass. It's still get lost. And I'm saying to the compass is accomplished for the country. And even though we have it people still get lost. But you know, what if you don't use it? You're definitely going to be lost. And that's the whole point. Compass give you an idea of where you're going. You know, just. The babies are. I have been killed or going to be killed. In New York. That baby comes out of the mother. That's that baby has been murdered. Well, by somebody morally, we say, yes. But the law says no now. Well, the law says, no, John. The law says, no, that's right. Yup. That's why that law needs to be challenged. Well, let's hear people challenge. It. Well, I think they will. I hope they do because we don't roll over and play dead now. Dewey, but people do and you know, why because they're tired they're tired. And I think a lot of people just don't make America anymore. And that's what I don't like. But I can't change people. I tell him look we need to start. Like, you say, let's have a respect for the constitution. Right. But no, they want to tell you know. I think we're gonna try a little communism. Dry little socialist state socialism. The hell. Oh, yeah. Works real good history proves that over and over. Yeah. I mean, if you're if you're not gonna remember history, and it's easy to bring about these old ideas. I mean, maybe what what are the I think it was. Marx. Or Lenin said that he he foresaw the future. He said that the United States would fall into emergency communism and give it a try, and it may be would fail miserably. But I think that you know, he was kind of also saying it would fail miserably because after it'd be used up they wouldn't know what to do next. Well, if we were to join become a socialist country and do that. You'd have to go the constitution out. Yeah. You would. I don't think they're ever going to be. You know, see? She doesn't have her ducks in a row. Shan, read enough books. Hasn't studied US government or the constitution. We're taught that information when I went to school, and I'm an old, man. "So how come no one's talking about? How the Republicans are five flip-flopping on everybody to meaning what? Oh when Obama was an office. Everybody was talking about the wall and the Republicans shot it down. And now, it's every publicans are in office. The Democrats are shut down seems to me like our biggest enemies congress. That is true. But I don't I reject the premise how were Republicans against the wall. When Obama was president. There's no wall right now is there. Everybody was for the wall. When Obama was in office. We wish we should have a wall, correct? No, that's not how that works. House-congress going to build a wall. Um everybody vote for the wall. You know, everybody vote for the funding. Who would execute on the building of the wall? But didn't Obama want the wall? No like. No, absolutely not. I thought he wanted to better security it down in the border and have a new wall and all this other stuff and everybody wanted a wall back then and it just it just seems like everybody's flip-flopping. If of Republicans in power, the Republicans slipped in there with everybody in America, one Democrats were in power everybody flipped in. Everybody's what the Democrats it just seems like everybody's flip-flopping. Did you vote for Trump? No, I did not actually who'd you over. I voted for cruise. But you couldn't have voted for cruise in November. When it came down to it. I didn't vote four presidency, actually, okay. Hi, I'm not trying to trying to lay a trap for you. I'm just asking. I understand your frustration. Where I get concerned is there there is a tendency to believe well the process is so corrupt. None of it matters. Anyway. But it does matter as frustrating as it is there are differences, and many would like you to believe that it really doesn't matter who the president is or who the speaker of the house is or whatever else because everything is bad and everything is corrupt. So it doesn't matter. Anyway. So let's let's all go home and leave the process to the professionals because they're all gifters and hustlers anyway. But as frustrating as it is it's better with our involvement than without. And we don't want to be so disheartened that we lose the interest in in fixing it now. Republicans in congress. You are right to say Republicans don't wanna wall, they won't admit it. But they don't there are some who do Ted Cruz wants a wall. There. There are some rock solid. Republicans. But make no mistake Paul Ryan was not going to let a wall be built. If Obama had wanted to wall, Paul Ryan might have capitulated and giving him his wall. But Paul Ryan and John bainer before him. Mitch mcconnell. These guys. Listen. I hesitate to even say this because the results I have to recognize that there are the way people are going to respond to certain inputs to bits of information. Sometimes makes the situation worse. So you're almost not it's almost not productive to point it out. But it bears noting in this case. There are a series of issues. That Republicans campaign on. They don't that most of them don't actually believe and to the extent that they believe it. They're not willing to fight for it. Because they'll take incoming fire from the media and the left and their kid who's off at college. And they don't want to be perceived. As mean, where the Democrats are very effective is not defeating your argument. The Democrats are effective in rather than argue on the merits make the maker of the argument out to be a racist. Amini a bad person make them somebody unworthy of civilized discussion because they're Hitler be because they're they're racist and homophobic, xenophobic, an awful an out of date in UN cool. And so a lot of Republicans the moderate Republican types, the Jeff flakes, the John McCain's they don't like to be talked about in this manner. They don't want to be a belligerent Republican. They don't want to be an angry radical Republican. They want to be a Republican that gets invited to the right cocktail parties, and the lobbyists. Don't like the fringe, the lobbyists don't like the radical still lobbyists. Don't want disagreement. They don't want these dramatic swings in public opinion. They don't want massive tax cuts, and so the lobbyists many of whom came out of the chambers of congress usually as staffers, but in some cases, as as the elected officials themselves, the lobbyists job is to keep everybody on the same page. All the time. Listen, we're running the asylum here, let's not turn on each other. We can have some little false arguments that you go out and rally the base too because they're always afraid that when they leave the safe confines, and they they lower the bridge, and they come out over the moat, and they come out into the great unwashed, there always afraid that somebody out here is going to announce that the jig is up. The establishment? The ruling class is all cutting deals with each other. They're all dear friends, they love each other. It's not shocking. When John McCain dies and Barack Obama shows up and calls him this great guy. They loved each other. They needed each other McCain play the game the way the Democrats want all Republicans to play the game. He got to be the head Republican, and he never altered the status quo. That's the perfect Republican. That's the kind of Republican the Washington Post has learned they have to promote. That's why Mitt Romney went from being an awful human being in two thousand twelve because he wanted to be president to now that he's no risk of that. And he can be used as a cuddle to bash Trump. He's a great indecent. Honorable man. John McCain was a threat to democracy. Crecy in two thousand eight when he ran against Barack Obama once he lost. He was a great American hero. And anyone who didn't call him a hero. You Republicans your awful. Well, they come up with little false issues for us, and they go out and they campaign on it. But they never want them past the balanced budget. Oh, it got to have a bout. They don't give a damn about a balanced budget. If they did them for the last two years when they had control of the house that would have balanced the budget. Not only did they not they've been spending like drunken, sailors, they have profligate spending is out of control right now. And who's talking about it because it would be embarrassing for Republicans to campaign on a balanced budget when they had control of the house and the Senate, and they were spending more money and greater deficits than even Obama. Did they don't give a damn about balanced budgets? But guess what you start hearing about him again because they're going to.
