"It looks like world staring at another bailout here I mean Biden can play all the word games he wants but in effect what he's doing is sending in the United States government to digitally or print more money create more money out of thin air to backstop what in essence we're a bunch of terrible decisions made by bad managers at a bank Well I mean first of all Biden is lying when he says it's not a bailout and that taxpayers aren't going to pay It is a bailout and taxpayers are going to pay through the nose It's not just that banks made bad decisions They were led to make those bad decisions by government Number one the Federal Reserve kept interest rates at zero So the banks couldn't earn any yield And so they were forced to go out long duration to get into yield and they bought these ten to 30 year bank regulators pushed the banks into buying government securities because of the favorable accounting terms that they got Number one you didn't have to take a haircut on the assets So you've got dollar per dollar credit A lot of other assets you have to mark them down on your books And number two they never had to mark them to market So in order to appease regulators the banks bought all these treasuries and mortgage backed securities So the government can't now get upset that the banks did exactly what they were pressuring them to do So that's number one But the bigger issue is had they allowed these couple of banks to fail a Silicon Valley bank signature bank And allowed the uninsured depositors to lose money It would have been bad It would have been a financial crisis It would have been worse than the financial crisis in 2008

"The house freedom caucus, the good ones up there, because there are good Republicans left. I'm sorry, but there are no good Democrats left. There are really none. When you think manchins, what Manchin mentioned past the inflation reduction act that produced more of this inflation. The house freedom caucus has a fix right in front of your face right now. Get a lid on this government spending at least the discretionary side now. You want to figure out Medicare and social security more complicated matters after the debt ceiling fight. I understand. I don't agree, but I understand. Biden doesn't even want to do that. Biden is spending more money, which is going to cause more inflation, which is going to cause interest rates to go up again. Folks, Mark dish, please. I'm asking you, please, if you're home, please, it is two 46 and 46 seconds east of time. They tell you not to say the time in case the show is not live. I don't care about any of these rules, okay? Mark, the date it is march 13th. Please play this segment over and over because I guarantee you if we don't stop Biden right now, this is going to happen you are going to be looking at another great depression. He wants to spend more money, he wants to spend another $1 trillion plus we don't have in his $6.8 trillion budget proposal. Which I absolutely guarantee you is going to cause inflation to get worse next year, the year after that and the year after that. That's going to cause the government to raise interest rates even higher. Which is going to cause other banks who invested in government bonds at lower interest rates to take a bloodbath as their bonds go down in price and you are going to see SVB banks all over the place. The only thing standing in his way are the House Republicans. And the leverage they have in the debt ceiling. The collapse isn't inevitable folks. It's only inevitable if you give Joe Biden his way. Some men just want to watch the world burn. It's not just bane from The Dark

Rep. Bob Good: House Freedom Caucus Responds to Biden's Budget Plan
"Congressman, let's just jump right in here. The house freedom caucus holding a big press conference earlier this morning, what do you guys have on your mind? Well, it was in part response to the president rolling out his $6.9 trillion budget yesterday. He wants to throw gasoline on the raging fiscal fire of 32 trillion national debt, not enough for him, $1 trillion deficits are not enough for him. So he projects a 6.9 proposes a $6.9 trillion budget largest budget history of the country, greatest increase in spending in the history of the country projects a $2 trillion deficit, it's a literally a 56% increase over four years ago pre COVID spending at a time when the pandemic is over of course and it's debt on arrival. Of course, we're not going to take that up. It's literally $20,000 per American citizen when you take 6.9 trillion and you divide that by roughly 340 million American citizens. It's just over $20,000 per citizen or say a household of two and a half average then that would be approximately $50,000 per household, no American would vote for that, of course. So we don't have the money and we're not going to do that. But secondly, his policies are harming the country. So the house freedom caucus we've been working on this for several weeks as you know and we went ahead and held a press conference today and didn't release on what our spending plan is, which has immediate cuts and then longer term spending reforms and it really attacks the woke and weaponized federal government. The bureaucracy that's harming the American people

House Freedom Caucus offers deal to raise debt ceiling
"A summer showdown is brewing between President Biden and House Republicans over raising the nation's debt ceiling. The GOP wants to slash spending in exchange for raising the debt limit before a potential summer default and is soundly rejecting the president's new $6.9 trillion budget plan, while Republicans have not laid out their own plans. The conservative house freedom caucus has. The plan is to shrink Washington and grow America. Chairman Scott Perry says, among other things, they want to roll back about $400 billion in the president's student loan relief plan for a total savings of roughly $3 trillion. We just have a very different value set. The

Rep. Scott Perry: Joe Biden's Failures Are Part of a Bigger Plan
"Today, I was on the main stage moderating a discussion between the chairman of the House freedom caucus, Scott Perry, and also another bona FIDE member of the House freedom caucus. That individual by the name of congressman Ralph Norman and you've seen both of them or you've heard both of them on our radio program over the years. And they're really doing a terrific job and waving that conservative banner. And we had a very Frank discussion today about what exactly conservatives need to do to fight back against Joe Biden. And congressman Scott Perry, he shared something as I talked about the many failures of Joe Biden and the Biden administration. And it was interesting because congressman Scott Perry says he doesn't believe that these are failures. He believes these are intentional attacks on America. He believes that there is a grand scheme here. There's something much bigger, much broader at play. And he believes this is all part of an attempt to weaken our nation. So he says, yes, Joe Biden may be addled he may be somewhat comatose, but the reality is that Joe Biden and whoever is controlling The White House and we've haven't been shy about saying it's either Susan Rice and or Barack Hussein Obama. But whoever is pulling the strings, this is all intentional. And as congressman Ralph Norman said from the main stage, the only reason Biden is still in power is the Democrats don't want giggles, which is his nickname for Kamala Harris. They don't want giggles Harris in the Oval Office.

The Debt Ceiling Showdown With Congressman Andy Biggs
"There is a critical fight that is looming in Congress. In fact, it's happening right now. I'm going to read from Politico dot com. Senate Republicans tell the house the debt ceiling fight is on you, basically the Senate Republicans are doing what they do best, which is to run to the hills and do absolutely nothing. So this is on the new House of Representatives to fight to hold the line and hopefully use the debt ceiling fight as a way to get an effectuate some meaningful change. Joining us now from the great state of Arizona is Andy Biggs, Andy, welcome back to the program. Hey, Charlie, good to be with you. So Andy, walk us through what is exactly going on with the debt ceiling fight, the Senate wants nothing to do with it, but we have the majority and more specifically the house freedom caucus has really more power than ever before. So what's the strategy what's the game plan of this critical fight? Okay, so for people who don't understand this, the debt ceiling hit last week and that's an estimation that we're going to run out of money. Now the way that happens is that came on the 19th and then from the 19th for about until July or August, we have enough money, but we have enough we're going to take some special measures to get us through that. But before then, we're going to have to raise the debt ceiling, so we don't default on our loans. So that that's what it boils down to. The problem is the Democrats and some of my own Republican friends have spent this into oblivion to get there and they believe in something called the modern monetary theory, Charlie, which means that you could just keep printing money and it won't have any effects. In other words, you can just keep borrowing money. So what we need to do is to counterbalance that you're going to have to have a short term increase in your debt in order to pay off all of your loans and other your obligations. But you're going to have to reduce your spending and the way you reduce your spending as you go through, first of all, and you find anything, just like you would in a normal budget. I did it last week. I didn't realize I had so many Amazon channels. Amazon Prime channels, Charlie. And so I went through and I just started whacking them because it's crazy. You have to do the same thing at a bigger level.

"Is this week on Thursday reached its legal borrowing limit, and treasury secretary John and Yellen to that end wrote to House speaker Kevin McCarthy, saying that's her department is now taking extraordinary measures to make sure the U.S. does not default on its obligations. This morning, WTO Capitol Hill correspondent Mitchell Miller on how this time might be different from previous instances when the U.S. hit the debt ceiling. In the past. I think it is less clear exactly how this will play out given the deals McCarthy had to make with fiscal conservatives to secure the speakership. He's under pressure to produce for them and that's why he's saying that spending cuts need to be considered if they're going to support raising the debt limit. The White House, as you know, it's not going to budge and that Congress needs to get this done before those extraordinary measures run out and the debt limit could be hit again in June. But how far will the hard right edge of McCarthy's conference go? We don't really know. A member of the House freedom caucus Andy Biggs this week said flatly that Republicans can't raise the debt ceiling and McCarthy is likely to get pinched between people like Biggs and Senate Republicans like Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell, who said today he believes in agreement will eventually be reached, but others remain worried. One thing everyone agrees on Mitch is at a default would be terrible for the U.S. economy, but how could it affect everyday Americans? Right, it could have a big impact on four-o-one-ks and the investment portfolios of Americans. And that's just if the threat gets close as we approach the next key marker that date in June, we expect. If there were to be a default, which would be the first time ever, it could trigger a recession, several other things that could happen that could affect you among them. You could be late in getting your federal benefits, such as social security, Medicare, veterans benefits, all those could be delayed if they're sending it all. And it could cost more to borrow money, especially if U.S. credit is downgraded as it no doubt would, and that means higher rates for everything from mortgages to credit cards. Let's move on to another topic. He's been the topic for a while, New York congressman George Santos seems like every day there's a new allegation about something he lied about. What now? Well, the lies at times seems so preposterous that reading the headlines, I feel like you might be reading the onion instead of a mainstream news source. Santos it appears now lied when he said his mother was in one of the twin towers on 9 11, documents indicate she was actually in his native Brazil, and the latest allegation that he took money from a GoFundMe effort to raise money for military veterans service dog has really upset a lot of people. Santos denies that, but the number of Republicans who are tiring of these headlines keeps growing, New York Republican Peter king, a former congressman wrote in The New York Times op-ed that Santos is a dead man walking and he's warning Republicans he could hurt them in future elections if they don't take action against him, but right now speaker McCarthy is not doing that. He's actually put Santos on two committees this week. Double DT will be Capitol Hill correspondent Mitchell Miller, talking there. With Anne and Sean, you are listening to 103.5 FM at WTO P dot com. "That power that the constituents have given them, and they essentially assign it all to the speaker. So the speaker basically decides this is what's going to be in the Bill, the bill could, by the way, be 500 pages long or thousand pages long. No one except the speaker's staff has read it. No one or very few people outside of the speaker's own circle have had a role in drafting it. Committee assignments are all kind of handed out by the speaker based upon way, I like this guy. I'm going to put him in judiciary. I like that guy. Ways and means for you, buddy. And so you got to and then a restricted amendment process in which they control who and what amendments get to the floor. So this is the normal way of doing business. And it's a very bad way to very bad way because it doesn't open itself up to a wide range of viewpoints, even in the majority party. And interestingly for conservatives conservatives have been somewhat frozen out of this process. You may say that you have a Republican establishment and they're like, we're the ones who decide how things are going to be around here. And then you conservatives can make petitions to us and we'll decide what we're going to sort of let through the gate. Well, as it turns out, that's no longer the way these things are going to work anymore because essentially what McCarthy has agreed to is it's not going to take just one congressman. One Congress person in a sort of Jeffersonian motion to move to remove the speaker, if the speaker is sort of goes back on a policy agenda. So it takes one guy to put that motion on the floor. This is kind of amazing. Number two, there's going to be bills presented to Congress have to be now kind of on a single subject. So not these kind of omnibus bills that include dozens, if not hundreds of earmarks, say, listen, we'll throw some money in for a bridge in your district. Hey, we'll throw some money in for a school named after you, of course, in your district. All of this stuff that they're all this port that ends up in these builds and it's a big fat Bill. You got to vote yes or no, no. The house freedom caucus, and it's key members have said, we want to have builds on particular topics. And of course, the goal here is by and large to restrict spending to have some handle on spending. You can't just load up these bills with expenses and then just keep voting to raise the debt ceiling. Now, there are some Republicans who have said that these efforts that sort of controlling the process of the budget is going to create problems for defense spending, but I don't think this is actually true. First of all, I don't think that's anything wrong in discussing and debating defense allocations this whole idea that zelensky shows up so we got to write him a big fat check, money that could, of course, be used elsewhere, and we need to have a debate. Why is the money better used in Ukraine than it is, for example, in dealing with the homeless or dealing with the drug problem in the United States. But look, the point is made here is that, and this is the point that was made by chip Roy. He goes, we're setting top level spending earmarks. In other words, this is the amount of money available for the government to spend. Kind of similar to the way family budgets work. This is what the family is bringing in. This is what we got to spend.

"I talked in the last segment about Kevin McCarthy's new House committee to investigate the weaponization of the deep state, a very positive and important development. And as I think back to the skirmish between McCarthy and the House freedom caucus. Now that has freedom caucus has some 35 or so members. So while I want to give credit to the house freedom caucus, there were about 20 sort of hardcore is in the house freedom caucus. And they're the ones who decided to go toe to toe against McCarthy. The rest of the house, freedom caucus kind of played along with McCarthy. And I think it's now possible to look back and see which team was right. Because there were good people on both sides of this. In fact, not only in the house, but even in the kind of world of commentators, there were lots of guys like Hannity even Michael Levin, basically saying, look, McCarthy has got the vast majority of the votes, this kind of stunt by the gang of 20 needs to stop. They just need to sort of go along with McCarthy because he's the guy. We're not going to get anyone else per se. And then there were the 20 or so holdouts, people like Matt Gaetz, Lauren boebert, Mary Miller, others, who basically said no, were not going to hold. We're not going to give in because we need to make a deal with McCarthy. And a deal that is clear and some of its features need to be in writing. Well, it turns out we can now sort of look at what this deal looks like. It hasn't been fully fessed up to, but it's a big deal. And it's a big deal because it changes the way that one of the branches of government works. In other words, it's not merely a series of specific concessions. But it is a change in the operations, the you may call it the Modis operandi of the house. Now let's think back to the house, the way it's functioned, not just under Nancy Pelosi you kind of ruled with a bottle of vodka and iron fist is perhaps a good way to put it, but also the way that Republicans have run the house in the past. It's been run in a centralized fashion from the top. So we think that, you know, we don't support centralized government we believe the decision should be made in a decentralized way, but here you have the house and by the way, the Senate, not all that different, run as a kind of tyranny. As I say, ironic because you've got all these elected House representatives, all of whom represent constituencies. But what happens is when they go to D.C., they trade in.

Kevin McCarthy Gutted the Traditional Powers of a House Speaker
"Here's the, here's the main thing you need to understand that Kevin McCarthy craved power so much that he was willing to basically give away all of the power in the speakership. And that's pretty much what he did completely gutted the powers that the Speaker of the House traditionally has. And McCarthy had to do that to appease the house freedom caucus members. And now as a result of that, every single day for the rest of his speakership, do not be surprised if someone from the Democrat party raises a motion to vacate the chair. In other words, to get rid of Kevin McCarthy. And they're going to have to vote on it. And the reason why is because that's one of the concessions that McCarthy gave to the house freedom caucus. Now, a lot of people are upset with the freedom caucus folks. They're saying they caved, they gave in. They waved the white flag of surrender, but folks, there are certain things called realities. And the fact of the matter is, I think Matt Gaetz actually references in a Fox News interview is that there's really nothing else to ask of speaker McCarthy. They got what they wanted out of McCarthy. And what they got out of McCarthy was the ability to stop him if he decides to start working with the Democrats or if he starts capitulating to the Democrats or the establishment Republicans.

Obviously, it was significantly more or less yesterday with 20. So now we're down to 7. So let's see what happens here at the end of this vote. Maybe it'll be 8, maybe it'll be 9. But we've been making progress. And I applaud both sides. I applaud those in the house freedom caucus that had been voting against McCarthy. So if we're going to come to an agreement, let's get that agreement done. Let's get it done so we can work for the American people. So congressman, can you give our audience some peace of mind about what a conservative Congress can do if Kevin McCarthy ends up winning. Some of our audience, they are not convinced. They're not persuaded. They say, Kevin is awful. It's terrible. We don't want him. Some of our audience says that it's the same as having hakim Jeffries. I don't agree with that. And I will say this as it relates to you use the word investigations. You know very well. As I predicted, which came under pretty intense ridicule from some of you that emailed me, this has been a tactic of negotiation. So I think there's anywhere between 6 to 9 holdouts right now. Is that right? I don't know the final number. Somebody said there was much as 13 holdouts. We don't know. And by holdouts, I mean people that are not going to vote for Kevin McCarthy. But as I predicted earlier in the program, because we have been talking to these patriots that are doing this for quite some time, that their strategy, many of them, some of the strategy is no Kevin no Kevin no Kevin no Kevin, which I understand that many of you are sympathetic with. Other people say, don't like Kevin, not my first choice, but also Kevin has a 150 to a 175 votes. Baked in, so therefore, let's try to get the most conservative Congress possible.

"Going on. We got members talking. I think we've got a little illegal. So we'll see. In the proposed deal with conservatives, McCarthy now reportedly willing to give 72 hours for bills to be posted. A concession wanted by House freedom caucus members to slow down the spending process, as well as other measures designed to decrease the power of the speaker and give rank and file members more seats on key committees and amend bills more openly, although McCarthy disputes his power would be muted with this proposed deal. Is not one side's going to get more another. It's the entire conference is going to have to learn how to work together. The house is unable to conduct business or swear in new members until this is resolved. So the pressure is on McCarthy right now. Anti McCarthy voter Lauren boebert saying McCarthy threatened to remove his opposition from committee assignments when he wins. But we don't govern in fear. We govern for the people on principle. Don't be afraid to do the right thing. And despite rebuffing Donald Trump's call to support McCarthy, fellow never Kevin Republican Matt Gaetz twice nominated Trump for speaker, giving him a 5 minute glowing endorsement and voted for him once. And so I nominate president Trump because we must make our country great again and he could start by making the House of Representatives great again. With the house ready to gavel in, there is some hope Republicans can finally reach a compromise on the two year anniversary of the January 6th attacks on the capitol. McCarthy says it's better to get the intraparty animosity out of the way now rather than during the next two years. So if this takes

"Well, congressman, I can tell you we are one of the few national radio shows that we're standing in lockstep with the house freedom caucus and it really troubles me not just that there is opposition to what you guys are doing, but there are threats. And I want to get your initial reaction to something congressman Dan Crenshaw said on Fox News radio when he called you and your colleagues a bunch of terrorists and not just him, but also there was a congressman congressman Rogers from Alabama who also called you guys terrorist. Look, these comments are the desperate tactics of people that can't win the argument and quite honestly have a terrible record. Yes, as you know, Todd, there are members past and present that have a vested interest in the status quo here. There's a lot of money being made here and changed hands. It's taken from the American people and distributed around town here. That's the status quo, and they want to continue to further that and protect that status quo. Somebody's got to fight for the American people, Todd. And while I will never say things like that about my colleagues, especially members that have worn the uniform as I have, I'm not desperate. I do rely on the merits of my argument and if my colleagues want to go out and support and talk about the great things that have happened in Congress over the last ten years, whether it's $1.7 trillion omnibus Christmas trees spending bills that are dropped at 2 o'clock in the morning right before Christmas. They can go talk about those things. I suspect that most Americans will not agree with their perspective. Something has to change here, Todd. You can't keep doing the same things under the same conditions with the same people and expect a different outcome. Mister McCarthy has been in leadership for 14 years now.

A House Divided With Mike Davis
"Mike Davis joins us so just before we go to Mike Davis, Byron donalds, who is not self selected a run for the speaker, has been nominated by one of his colleagues chip Roy. I find the whole thing to be rather ingenious by the house freedom caucus. Now, I don't like this affirmative action stuff. I find it nauseating where we have two black people running skin color means nothing. And chip Roy, who I consider to be a friend and really smart sort of contradicted himself there. He's like, we have two black people running for Speaker of the House. And we don't care about skin color and we care about the content of one's character. So, and then he did say that Byron's character is terrific, which by the way, I can attest to that. I know Byron really well. His wife runs a charter school. They homeschool their kids. They homeschool their kids before their kids went to the charter school. They helped start. Byron donalds is a true grassroots conservative from Collier county, Naples area in Florida. So this is about to get very, very interesting. Joining us now is Mike Davis from the article three project Mike. That's some breaking news there. What are your thoughts? It's interesting. Are you talking about the thoughts on Byron getting nominated? Yes. I mean, I don't think people I don't think people think he has a realistic shot of winning, but it's symbolic. So whatever. I just, look, we may disagree on this. I don't think Kevin McCarthy is going to be elected speaker. I don't think that he should be elected speaker. I don't think he's earned the votes and I don't think he will earn the votes. And so I think that we're dragging this out unnecessarily. He didn't Kevin McCarthy is known for two months. He does not have the votes to become speaker. And he did nothing. To earn those votes during that time. And she's actually lost both. They went into the first vote. He thought he was going to lose 5 votes. He ended up losing 19. They did a second vote. He lost 19 votes again. They had Jim Jordan do his endorsement speech on the House floor, thinking that that would bring these dissenters or defectors over to Kevin McCarthy. It not only did it not work, he actually lost another vote. So Kevin McCarthy is down 20 votes. President Trump did not endorse Kevin McCarthy during three of these failed votes. President Trump specifically stayed on the sidelines. Kevin McCarthy apparently called and begged for Trump's endorsement Trump put out a I think a pretty tepid endorsement today. I just don't think Kevin McCarthy has the votes. I don't think you should be speaker, but even if you do think you should be speaker, he doesn't have the votes. It's time to move on.

"We're following breaking developments on Capitol Hill where for the fourth time in a row, Kevin McCarthy has lost a vote in his bid to become the next House speaker. Let's get details from WTO's Mitchell Miller, joining us live with today on the hill. On the latest ballot, McCarthy received 201 votes. That's the lowest number he's received since all of this began yesterday. Wisconsin congressman Mike Gallagher had nominated McCarthy on this fourth ballot and acknowledged many Republicans are getting frustrated, but added, sure. It looks messy. But democracy is messy. Democracy is messy. And in this latest messy vote, Florida's Byron Donald's received 20 votes from conservatives and members of the House freedom caucus. Opponents to McCarthy include Virginia's bob good and Maryland congressman Andy Harris who voted against him. So recapping after four of these ballots, McCarthy has not picked up any votes and is actually lost some ground Mark. Well, what if anything at this point can be done to try to break this stalemate? I think it's going to have to be through discussions and negotiations. We've seen supporters of McCarthy and members of the House freedom caucus, as well as McCarthy critic and Florida congressman Matt Gaetz in discussion on the floor. They include Andy Harris. He's been along Ohio's Jim Jordan talking with other members trying to work something out, but that conservative block is already been given a lot of concessions on various rules, including lowering the including lowering the threshold for a motion to vacate the speakers chair essentially to dismiss the speaker with only 5 lawmakers agreeing to it rather than a 120 as it is now. Some lawmakers have even encouraged that McCarthy withhold some of the concessions he's already given. So a lot of give and take still has to be done here. I'm wondering if the speakers chair means that much to Kevin McCarthy that he is willing to give up quite a bit of power that normally comes with it. Absolutely. He already has. Some people have said he's already given up the store. Some people have also compared him to negatively to House speaker former House speaker Nancy Pelosi, who, while she allowed some freedom within her own caucus, also brought down the hammer on some of the lawmakers when they tried to get out of line. Many Republicans are concerned that McCarthy has not been as tough as he should have been earlier on with members of the House freedom caucus, and now they're pushing him into a corner because they want more power. It's before we let you go. Just looking at this from what is normally happening at this time, you have a new members of Congress, their families, a lot of people here to watch the swearing in and the normal processes that occur, none of that's happening right now. Absolutely not. In fact, members haven't formally been sworn in yet. All of these new members and there are more than 70 of them, including senators who have already been sworn in, many of them were here yesterday with their children. As you noted, with their families, they had kids here in the chamber. It's usually a day of celebration, lots of picture taking, and by the end of the day, yesterday, people were saying, hey, we need to leave. They have fundraisers. They have events with their family who came in from across the country to deal with this and right now everything again is at a standstill. There's nothing happening in terms of committees. None of these rules that we've been talking about have been put into place. And of course, none of these new members have actually been sworn in. Mitchell Miller, following the drama on Capitol

And so Kevin has a couple options. I based on all of your emails and our audience, you guys have a very negative view of Kevin McCarthy. And I generally understand the skepticism, the apprehension, and the cynicism towards all Republican leadership. I've told you guys before. Kevin was very sweet to our turning point USA leaders a couple of years ago and he was actually he's always been very honest. I mean, I don't think he's a movement conservative, but he's also not Paul Ryan. I don't think that's fair. But here's a legitimate thing. Now, Kevin McCarthy has an option. Kevin can keep on negotiating with the house freedom caucus. Kevin can try to go to Democrats to get votes or there could be other people that are going to be proposed for Speaker of the House. There can be Jim Jordan. There can be Justin amash. There can be Evan kinzinger. There can be Liz Cheney. And you might say, oh, well, what Republicans will vote for those people? All you need is a few. Democrats would consider it a massive accomplishment right now to be able to block all investigations into mayorkas into Biden by getting a uni party type speaker. And so Democrats right now, they know they're not going to be able to take back the house. That's what I'm saying. People say, Charlie, Democrats are going to take over the house. That's not what I've said. I say Republicans could lose it. That's a completely different thing. So Democrats right now, because Democrats understand power and Republicans were still learning. We got a lot of Machiavelli still to read. Democrats will enthusiastically go for a compromise candidate, all of them, basically, if they could pick off 5 Republicans. That would mean no oversight of any agencies. That would mean no oversight of Google, no oversight of Twitter, no oversight of the FBI, none of it. And

I, for one, like both guys, I like Donald Trump. I like Ron DeSantis. That doesn't make me a bad human being. One of these days, Ron DeSantis is going to be president of the United States. It may be 2024, it may be 2028, but one day he's going to be president of the United States. But the issue now facing a lot of Republicans is who they're going to be voting for. When it comes to the speakership. And breitbart is throwing down a gauntlet. And they're saying that Kevin McCarthy has to be elected Speaker of the House, and if he doesn't, then the Democrats could gain control and could stage a takeover. Now, we've had Andy Biggs on this program. What I find fascinating is that breitbart is now referring to Andy Biggs, the congressman from Arizona. The former chairman of the House freedom caucus, a position now held by Scott Perry. They're calling Andy Biggs far right. This is breitbart. Breitbart is actually further to the right than anybody else. So who are they? Why are they out there and they're using it as a smear? This is not a compliment. They're using it as a smear. So Kevin McCarthy was on newsmax TV last night. With our buddy Sean Spicer. And Kevin McCarthy said, and it's a warning that if Republican members play games, the Democrats may end up picking the next house speaker.

The results of the midterm elections this season are shaking up votes for Republican leaders in Congress we hear. This morning, WTO Capitol Hill correspondent Mitchell Miller, with Morse wars. We have a lot of political drama in a closed door vote Kevin McCarthy was chosen to be the party's standard bearer, but the vote was one 88 to 31 conservatives voted instead for Arizona's Andy Biggs, a member of the House freedom caucus when the entire House votes for the next speaker in January, McCarthy is going to need to do a lot better. He'll need a majority of the House or 218 votes. So there's probably going to be a lot of jockeying back and forth through the end of the year as conservatives try to use their political leverage to get rule changes and initiatives they want, knowing McCarthy won't be able to lose many votes. Hey Mitch before we move on to the Senate because obviously there's stuff to talk about there. What's the latest on the midterm elections? They're only going to have close to maybe 220 to 222 seats. So if you do the simple math, you can see that if more than a handful of Republicans rebel against Kevin McCarthy, he could have a hard time becoming speaker on the other hand, no other lawmaker within the Republican Party has anywhere near the support he has from the overall conference. Well, let's turn to the Senate now. A rare challenge to the leadership of Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell, what's up? This is pretty extraordinary, given that senator McConnell hasn't really faced any kind of opposition in 15 years as the Republican leader, but Florida senator Rick Scott, who led the Senate campaign arm during the midterms, is mounting that challenge to him. McConnell said he has the votes to again lead the party, but Scott has literally said to other GOP leaders, he is not going to be on board with McConnell. WaPo: Rep. Kevin McCarthy Sabotaged Other Republican Campaigns
"Washington Post yesterday published a shocking story about how Kevin McCarthy has been working behind the scenes for several years now to sabotage the campaigns of conservative candidates. And by conservative candidates, I mean members of the House freedom caucus. We're going to be speaking to one of those members a little bit later on Ralph Norman from South Carolina. The story goes into great detail about how even this election cycle, Kevin McCarthy was funneling money to outside groups and the whole point of this was to sabotage the campaigns of conservatives. It's unbelievable. Folks, we've been telling you for a long time now that there is a Civil War underway in the Republican Party. It's been happening in the shadows. It's been happening behind the scenes, but it's been going on and it's been very effective. Not only had these conservatives been fighting the Democrats in many cases, these candidates have also been fighting their own party and they've had no idea. It is a covert operation. Now, McCarthy is not commenting on any of this, but apparently the RNC is involved in some capacity as well. It's a pretty ugly stuff. And now you're going to see Republicans rising up and calling out Donald Trump and I want you to understand something. When you look at these so called conservatives that are coming out and attacking Donald Trump. You need to go back and see if they were if they were on the Trump train to begin with, or if they have just been a silent or quiet never trumper. Did the 'Commitment to America' Move the Needle?
"Now look a couple of days ago. It was actually almost a week ago. That Kevin McCarthy rolled out the commitment to America. They were very light on specifics, but everybody appeared to be unified. And we heard from Scott Perry, who's the chairman of the House freedom caucus, and Scott Perry and his guys signed off on all of this, and they believed it to be a good thing. The only specifics we got out of it to their planning on immediately getting rid of the 87,000 IRS agents and they're going to hire they're going to support the hiring of 200,000 police officers. Well, the question is, was that good enough? Did that move the needle with voters? And I'm curious to hear from you as well on this. Did the commitment to America move your needle? A majority of Americans actually support the core principles. But there's just not a lot of specifics and Tucker Carlson was weighing in on this the other night on Fox News channel and he said, hey, look, there's really nothing here. It's just a lot of words. Here are some of the key findings in this Trafalgar survey that just came out and we're going to be speaking with Mark meckler from the convention of states in just a little while. But according to the findings of this survey, 49.8% do not believe that McCarthy made a strong enough case as to why Republicans should earn support in the midterm elections. 33% of voters believe McCarthy made a strong enough case for Republicans to earn their support. That's not a large number. Now the question is, what about independent voters? That's the big question.

Further demonstrates the willingness of this administration to continue to weaponize the federal government and all of its resources and assets towards their political opponents. They are not concerned about the precedent that they're setting with these actions because they're going for broke here doing everything and anything they can to harm our former president to try to tarnish his ability to be our next president and they will stop him nothing as evidenced by what they've done. Presidents, as we know, have historically had the ability, of course, to whatever they consider to be classified as an effect declassified. They take with them or their staff does any way to their private residence to their library to their offices with them many of the personal effects and papers and things like that. And the government has the ability to come back and say, hey, we're concerned about this part. We'd like to get this back or what have you and they could have done that through traditional means through traditional methods, every indication is president Trump was fully cooperating with that the government would have been come and look at it in advance and see it previously and they could have just come through normal channels and say, hey, we'd like to get this kind of material back for whatever reason.
