With notes and the airplanes at the same time. But this happened, well, not that long ago, actually, September 11th to keep that mind that date of mind September 11th, 2022. A district court with jurisdiction in larimer county, a Colorado, has filed misdemeanor charges against a then 34 year old flight instructor who crashed a cessna one 72 after allegedly buzzing two boats on the horse tooth reservoir, near Fort Collins, Colorado. Hey, Vernon, you know anything about this? He lives in Fort Collins, doesn't he? Yeah, maybe you've was Vernon in the airplane or it was a Vernon in the boat. I don't know. The pilot, not Vernon, but Ahmed el kadha issued a statement citing mechanical problems during a non instructional sightseeing flight. But after an examination of the cessna and recorded flight data, investigators have rejected his assertions. Reportedly left the country shortly after the accident and a warrant for his arrest is now in effect. With the Laramie county, sheriff's office asking the public for help in locating him. The pilot's brother, Hamad, 36 years old, also a certificated pilot, was on board the flight, which departed from boulder, municipal airport. After viewing dozens of photographs of the incident supplied by witnesses, including boaters, let's see where was I? I think I just missed my I was trying to do something and now I've lost my place. Oh, here we go. The sheriff's office first contacted the FBI to initiate federal charges, but the matter was ultimately referred to the district court leading to charges on 5 counts of menacing and 6 counts of reckless endangerment, according to the sheriff's office, legislation acted enacted in 2021, quote narrowed the definition of felony menacing as a result, threatening immediate serious injury with a vehicle or aircraft as classified as a misdemeanor under current law, which is a lower level of charge, which is kind of amazing to me. So this was just a misdemeanor. So this guy, find the airplane and buzzing the boats, identified himself as an ATP rated pilot with a type rating and the Embraer one 45 regional jet in the statement he said he was currently employed by the flight school that operated the cessna and claimed 3500 hours of experience, including 2300 hours of flight instruction given. He said his brother is also an ATP rated pilot with 7000 hours logged, and is a pilot for an overseas airline. He said the accident flight was his third sightseeing sortie of the day over the reservoir. He reportedly first claimed there was a loss of engine power and then cited a stuck elevator issue. An examination of the aircraft and review a flight data by the FAA and the national transportation safety board convinced investigators that el cada's claims were unsubstantiated. He was lying and the cause of the accident was not due to mechanical malfunctions or anomalies.

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the bob and cherry show, nice to have you with us. I think that we've all been watching too many movies and getting all hyped up as my mother would say. Because some craziness goes on, especially this time of the year, a photographer whose name is Stephanie stamos was taking some photographs on a beautiful place called horse tooth reservoir. It's in Colorado. It's a reservoir and thank God they have water. And a lot of float planes are around and a lot of pontoon boats are out on the Lake. And this one float plane, all of a sudden, started buzzing the pontoon boats and being a photographer. She had a camera with her and started taking some pictures. Here is the local news report. Sunday evening. I was up on horse tooth, and I was doing a photo shoot for high school senior. Stephanie stamos and senior portrait session quickly turned into her unknowingly capturing evidence for the NTSB. I see this plane and it's coming in so low and he was so close to the boat. I thought he was going to hit the boat. And in fact, when you see the picture, it was even closer than I thought it was. His wheel was like almost right on top of the boat and you can see the person in the boat with the hands up. Planes flying around horse tooth reservoir are relatively rare, let alone one nearly dipping into the water, so she started taking pictures. And you could see point by point to the footage was incredible. The plane appeared to fly over another nearby boat before climbing up and over the foothills, shortly after it crashed. I'm not surprised. Law enforcement is now investigating the flight as erratic and possibly not the result of any engine failure. That is the epitome of reckless and careless operation. I'll say it is. I mean, can you imagine, I'm looking at the pictures of this thing, it looks like it looks like the plane is about ten feet above the pontoon boat. And there are people in the pontoon boat and he kept doing it and I presume it's a guy, maybe it's not. Kept doing it to boat after boat after boat. That's the sort of thing I think you need to be put in jail, at least for a few weeks. Well, I'm sure they got them. I mean, you know, he's not in stealth pontoon float or boat or playing or whatever, right? Right. And this is not like a really great pilot because he crashed. He crashed after having buds these people. I just look, it's in the people. Don't you know that there are cameras everywhere. They're going to take a picture of your plane, then they're going to call the police. Police are going to find out where the plane is from and you are going to go to jail. What gets into people. The world is not a Bruce Willis movie. It's just not. I think maybe it's because I'm a Capricorn, but these kinds of stunts always seem like a terrible idea to me. Like if I could fly a plane, if I had the courage and the skills to fly a plane, this is not how I would be flying it. Like, I don't understand. I don't have any of that sort of wild daredevil chromosome stuff. I've got none of it. None of you. I think if my first thought is always, listen, people could get hurt here. Now stop it. Right, right. I know, I'm the same way. We're not exciting, but we're still here. I think if I were to take a flying, it would be a float plane, because here's the way I look at it. If something goes wrong with the plane, which it can go wrong, I mean, I've been in a couple of planes where there was some mechanical problems. There's usually some water around somewhere, right? Especially if you live in an area that has a lot of lakes. So you lose the engine, but you go, oh, I lost the engine, but at least you can put it down with those pontoons and land the damn thing. I mean, I guess, you know, but only you, the kind of people that learn how to fly and get flight pilot licenses, they don't say things like, well, if I'm going to learn to fly, I need to learn to fly something that I can put down on the water in case I crash. That's the difference between you and people that go get their pilot's license. Have you ever known anyone with a pilot's license? They never say stuff like that. Their brains, I don't even think their brains go there. That's why you and I don't fly. Just because I'm careful just because that's why we don't. If I had Jones to learn how to, if I had a Jones boy, nobody's used that expression. Don't use that anymore. And it's really a lame expression. Okay. If I really wanted to fly a plane and I was nervous about my skill level, but I still wanted to do it. The floatplane would be the way to go. Like I said, because you can just put it down on a Lake or a pond maybe. Wouldn't you think they'd make all jets that have to fly over like the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean to have that? Wouldn't you think they'd have that? That's a very good idea. I would feel much more comfortable flying to Ireland if I knew there were giant pontoons underneath the thing that would come out. That's a very good idea, max. I'm not going to forget that one. Why don't you make a note of that in case anyone does it, and then you can demand to get credit for it. That's out there here in greeley over water there's a petition that is asking the voters to consider changes to the way greeley's water resources are acquired managed and so on and as i began to read and we'll get into this a little more deeply as the morning goes by but here's here's what i found. There's a group called. save release. Water th this is all about the aquifer the terry ranch aquifer this is an idea that the town of greeley has come up with city of greeley. That i think is actually personally. I think it's a really cool creative idea. There's an aquifer under the terry ranch up on the wyoming border one point. Two million acre feet of water is in that aquifer aquifer i'm sure you know as an underground body of water you can drill down and you can get it out however let me put it in perspective. That's about f- over four times as big as all the water in horse tooth reservoir and horse tooth resorts pretty good sized lake that baby seven miles long and a mile or mile and a half wide at the widest. And even that much may maybe a mile if you're lucky back in one of the coast okay but nonetheless. That's a lot of water. That's a significant amount of water. It's about that same amount of what four four times as much. Water as in. boyd. So we went out shopping like kicking the tires type thing and we we were going to get another chevrolet or chevy chevrolet truck chevy truck so we went out to our local place that normally services mile trucks so we show up and we take the little baby just dresses basic as you. Can you know we don't wanna look like ballers just as just as basic as you can and we'll drive the little red farm truck and for those. You don't know. The lot bought it from a guy used. His uncle passed away had no use for. I said i'll take it so we've been driving around ever since so this little truck. So i'm still waiting on that but yeah we're going to buy a new truck. Probably a twenty twenty one if they can find if they can put the chips in them. I heard they were taking the chips and actually taking the chips and putting them into tvs because companies actually make the chips that run the trucks. They said well. Let's focus on everyone's staying at home. No one's going to be driving around now that we've got this cash shortage and a whole bunch of other stuff. That's happened the last sixteen months. We're going to put all the microchips and all our efforts into chips for. Tv's because everyone's going to be at home. Everyone's going to be watching tv. Hoops hit the microphone. Boom you're and no one's going to be driving around. No one's going anywhere because one. No one has a job and to everyone's got kobe or trying not to get coburn so we're going to concentrate all our efforts on a half factory making microchips in putting them in. Tv's what happened. "There is a plan on the table to build out into affordable housing other kinds of housing some open space and some commercial in them. When that happens all of a sudden leonard pays ten million dollars to see us you. If this passes it will force the city of fort collins to buy the property and to negotiate with you using that basic price. What do they got in here. Tenors ten million as a beginning bargaining place between cs and the city of fort collins fort collins has this open space tax but much of that has been used for other things already and maybe even have obligations with. I don't know. Does fort collins have ten million dollars sitting around to to pay to see s you to buy this property for open space there already other open space areas all of the county parks in the area around horse tooth. There is some private land just immediately west and a little bit north of this but it's already built out there isn't going to be any more building going on up there to speak of very very few lots but there's also a couple of other open lands projects there you've got the whole Pinewood reservoir area than the maxwell open space. All this is right there adjacent so the question is is this property that the stadium on something that would normally fit into the priorities that city for collins has for open space or is this just a bunch people out there who don't want anything built there and i understand that nobody wants something built theralac traffic. It'll yeah i'm with yet but what's is gonna do to for cohen's they're going to have to take the money out of the existing open space and or other moneys in the treasury of fort collins..

"That's absolutely incredible. My understanding is the even though we're we're what midway through march at this point out. Today is the ides of march. Beware her either. The april's our second snowiest month on average when you look back and april can deliver is well. March typically has the biggest storm potential. But yeah april's it's not far behind. They can be even wetter and heavier with more power outage potential. But yeah april's coming something to look over to Snowfall totals in northern colorado. Estes park. I think very grateful for the two plus feet of snow. They got. yeah you know. It's really interesting when you look at the totals. We were thinking about a foot in greeley. You probably got a little bit more than that Fort collins potentially thirty inches and there were places in west fort collins. It certainly got that and then you work your way up into the horse tooth area. We're looking at three feet Three feet up towards Three or four feet. In fact red feather up towards pearl ridge road. Three to four feet wrapping all the way down through nederland on top indian peaks. Long speak three to four feet. All the way down into rollins ville in the heart of the denver metro area. "A trail runner healing up after a very close encounter with a mountain lion. This happened at horse tooth mountain park. Colorado parks and wildlife spokesperson Rebecca Farrell attacked by a wild cat on the trails at Westridge trail on horseshoes mountain open space.
