Facing Fear (Part 2) - Awakening Your Fearless Heart

"Now in our last talk on this? I gave two weeks ago. We covered. What happens when we'RE CAUGHT? In fear that our perceptions are sick the lens narrows and we fixate on threat and to some degree depending how much is going on. We go into fight flight freeze. And so there's cortisol and other stress hormones going and our muscles pyden and are the body extremities get fired up and the digestion goes you know kind of halts and our thoughts are circling around what we're anxious about. That creates more anxiety in our body and our brain because our limbic system activated the frontal cortex is deactivated which means less access to executive functioning to mindfulness to kindness empathy. And we know that when we're all worried we're not our hearts not wide open. We're not feeling tender about others or the world so this is for many again. It's a matter of degree kind of habitual state and it's a trance contracted agitated state. We don't have access to our whole being and it's often described as the body of fear. Fear Body and the fundamental feature of it. Is that our sense of self has narrowed into being fearful self? We're no longer in touch with a sense of awareness or spirit or hard or any any of that vast mystery of what we are. We are a fearful self on our way into trouble so the first step of awakening from this transom. This is really what we're looking at in. This class is to recognize okay body of fear. Trans caught in something. And we start sentence the body and it's tension we start feeling the squeeze and we might notice and take a little time with this there couple major domains that we get caught him when we're tensing against the future and one of the big ones that many of us is a fear of failure that what's coming up. I'M GONNA FAIL. I'm not gonNA perform well and then they'll be consequences all be rejected so we each have our version of how we're GONNA fall short but it matters a whole lot to us because falling short means we get kind of pushed out of the tribe so to speak so a while ago a cartoon these two sharks and conversation and one to the other. The pressure to be great is too much. I'd rather be known as the just okay White Shark so conversation about this fear of failure with a friend last week and she said all my life. I have been trying to figure out what my deepest fear was and I've just toggle between is it the fear of being bad you know being a failure. Ours is the fear of loneliness being separate and we started talking about that and she said she would play it out say well what if. I was just really bad but I wasn't lonely are what if I was like completely lonely but I wasn't bad and she realized when she really sorted out that the worst twists fear of separation that it was the isolation but usually they came together because when she felt bad she felt cut off but I think it's really powerful to realize. How much are sensitive? Not Okay goes hand in hand with them working to be cut off and removed from any real connection with others so this fear failure and then there's the fear of missing out foam. Oh which many of us really know close in daily of not getting something we want where fear of not getting that connection with another person fear of not having something workout financially or a chance to impress or gain influence or have an adventure have another experience that matters so grasp after gratification and it and it goes to spiritual realms to the sphere missing out. I noticed people. Retreats will be sharing experiences. And there's a few like God that person was sitting all blissful and dissolved into Rainbow Light and I've just been like dealing with my neurosis and so it's like in spiritual life to fear of missing out. I I remember longtime ago. Actually one of my father's favorite stories of two men who their friends that have these spiritual conversations about what was possible. And really they believed in the afterlife and they were really fascinated with what they would be able to experience and they made an agreement as they got older that Horford died. I wouldn't some way send a message about what it was like. What was the experience? And so one of them died and took some months but the other one start having seances and so on and finally he heard his voice and he confirmed it was San many said. So what's it like? What's the afterlife? Like and his friend said well we we? We have sex and we sleep then we eat and we have sacked so many sleep then goes over nervous and expensive. Wow so that's what happens like heaven I'm not having a Moose in Wyoming. I don't know what you believe. That's one version of reincarnation so a fear of missing out and then our deepest fear really and this is the fundamental the loss of our life. And that's the sense of living with the uncertainty and fragility of our own existence. And we each have that. It's again rigged into our nervous system. And so while we might be fixated on a particular thing if we scrape beneath the surface will find that there's fear and often at set deep fragility of you know how to preserve me the existences self. So the path to waking up from tramps is to get it okay in the transit fear. That's the beginning of waking up just to know what's happening and once we identify it then there's enough presence to pause and deepen attention and this is where we're going now. How do we deepen attention? So we've noticed it. Okay I'm caught. I'm shrunk again I'm fixated. I'm spinning and strangling worries. Okay now what but if we noticed that we can pause now in Asian artwork and this is also the gateways of temples and the dollars and so on a lot of the way it's a -pected the spiritual transformation is depicted is with these animal headed deities these very aggressive and fearful and rage looking gods and goddesses and that the only way you can to the center of the Manala are into the temple gates is to go through a passageway through these Rachel Scary Deities and the message in that and the message that we get really in the wives teachings of all cultures are to wake up from the transit fear. We actually have to go through the fear and s awake away as possible.

Ben Simmons' Injury Calls for More Consistency From Joel Embiid

"More bad news regarding Ben Simmons yesterday. He reportedly has a nerve impingement in his lower back. As a result he's expected to now be sidelined for an extended period of time. He will be reevaluated. In two weeks there is little expectation. Though that he'll be close to return at that point. Nick is the sixers season basically in jeopardy or is now this embiid. It's time to go out there and own it and shine. Yes and yes yes. They're seasons in jeopardy. Their season jeopardy basically evidently since the season started when they did not take a leap forward and step instead they took a step or a step and a half backwards but yes also this is Joel. Embiid opportunity to show everyone. We can be better without Ben Simmons. Mb Better with a point guard or with a collection of players in return for Ben Simmons that better fit my very unique skill set in the modern NBA. That Simmons and embiid have been an awkward fit from the beginning because of Simmons refusal to shoot and because embiid even though he will take some three pointers is maybe our last remaining old school. Nba Center back to the basket. Give me the ball. I'M GONNA punish you on the post and so the fit has just been awkward. And we've seen that. Both guys have at times played their best basketball games. The other guy has missed playoffs last year. Maybe best game whose career was a game. Joel embiid was out. Joel embiid the highest scoring game of his career. Literally was the other night when Ben Simmons was out and so I think Antoine. With or without Simmons. This is not a championship level team. They have not played to that level anywhere close with through fifty five games while the bucks clearly have but it is an opportunity for Joel. Embiid to give the sixers. Maybe a sneak preview of what the team would look like if this offseason. They were to see what Ben Simmons could fetch on the open market. I believe that. Obviously they're not. They're not a team that can win win with either one of those guys together or without them. They're not going to be able to win. And these two conference. I think the fourth best team in the East I think obviously Milwaukee's better than the Celtics. Antonio I think all three of those teams better than them even when phillies whole Right now this is going to be opportunity. L. andbranch legitimate shot to really get take a really good sample size of what they all. Look like if Ben Simmons then play and I would look at it. I will take that approach. Because that's been the compensation that maybe these guys cannot 'cause this together so I will take a look at that and see if embiid could be the guy that you can build around and see if you can win with him that fourteen game five hundred. Just settling scores still out there. Tobias Harris a guy you pay big into free agency. You still have him. Obviously Josh Switches on team you made a great trade thought an ad and scorns the team without its birth and then Robinson added to other guys. That can score the basketball. So they're not they're not out of they're gonNA make the playoffs. They should be able to win a first round series without Ben Simmons Back Andrew. I take that very serious. I think this is something that you cannot rush rush back. This is a guy a franchise type player. So you don't want to rush him back just for this season so you gotta make sure he's healthy. But I do not believe when even with both of those guys that are fourth best team in the East and you got to be very cautious to bring a same as back a- and at times it's unfair we've said on this show before the single best in life in the NBA. Is the the non superstar on the Max contract because you get all the money with none of the pressure none of the criticism? We talk so much about Simmons and embiid. Tobias Harris has not played nearly up to the standards. They paid him to play at an Al Horford. That that move right now is one. They would like back the money they gave. Horford in the fit. But those guys are I. Don't WANNA say untradable with those guys are going to be on the team next season. So you do want to see what those two guys can look like with. Embiid there without Simmons but the the numbers are are jarring. As far as way win the sixers are at their best with with embiid without some between show him. I think within bead without Simmons with Simmons without embiid with both of them with neither so that's their margin that's their net rating with just embiid. That is a that is a great team as far as net rating with just Simmons. That's a good team with both of them. That's an average team and obviously with neither of them. It's a terrible team. You don't WanNa see the numbers like that that somehow they are the worst with both of them then with just one of the two it does speak to potentially a bigger problem also to add to that. I just think when you're to superstars in both of those guys are stars last year. Yep they didn't get better You know you gotTa You. GotTa sometimes you look in the mirror. Ben Simmons to shoot a jump shot. That's embarrassing you know. You had to add a jump shot you smith all summer. You got everybody filming. You shoot. Jump shots you only want to shoot. Won The game so let me ask you this then. There have been so many stops along the way where we're Ben. Simmons could have been like. Oh okay reality check or now. It's time for me to now. It's an off season. It's time for me to get better. I've gotten myself so far if Joel embiid goes out and carries this team and I know that the record coming up or their schedules schedule is going to be a little bit easy but say they go out and be great without Ben Simmons. Could that be a wakeup call? Could that be a a little bit of a gut check like listen? I got I got to step my game up if this is not where my future is looking at. This has been. The talk is the conversation L. Brent. They may have the sits may have no they don't trade it and neither one of them but I think if you WanNa trae one of them you get a good look at. I think it's just a fact you get an opportunity to look at it. Take a real good sample size and see what you like. If you WANNA take one or the other I will keep both of them. I will just hold both of them accountable. I think you have to have real talks with them and say if you WANNA get on to the next level. We got to continue to improve. That's everything when be continue working on his body getting better law he what. He's good and where he could be effective at his game. Ben Simmons has to develop some type of jump shot or at least attempt some type of Johnson for him to continue to get better so he can expand his game. You gotta put that pressure on them and these guys have been making all star teams. These guys are supposed to be getting you over the Hump and getting you back to the finals. And they're not making the right adjustments in their game. So it'd be interesting to see what what Philly does. But what's so odd is their first year together. They were a dynamic. On-court pair that the net rating that. I just showed when they're together is point. Nine less than one point was fifteen and a half plus fifteen half their first year together. The year they ended the regular season on that crazy. Winning streak seemed like a really dangerous team going into the postseason until I think it was the celtics knocked him out in the CA- yeah it was the Celtics in the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs last year together. They were not as good as plus half but plus eight when they're on the court together this year to be plus one inch or two best players it makes no sense. Ginny. You say the reality check. Promise reality if you've been similar like well first year in the league. I'm the best rookie. My second year in the League I I make an all star team. Then I get a Max contract thirty in league all star again. I'm making Max money. Seems like what I'm doing is working here so it depends on what your what your ultimate goal is and what you measure success by. I think been someone who would sell. You Failed Never

Players most likely on the move at NBA trade deadline

"Forward so here it we're getting close to the trade deadline right Thursday three PM as the NBA trade deadline here's a dose of reality about the trade deadline I'm from our our understanding you know forget for a moment who the Sixers are interested we know they're interested in Robert Covington Bogdanovich Derrick rose handful other players with other interested in them our but the issue which has been the issue all along is what do they have to give up in exchange to make such an acquisition and the only names that anybody can come up with includes the organization or someone legs I hear Smith or Mike Scott who quite frankly nobody wants either those guys they're throw ins in a deal to complete a deal nobody wants them what is our year end Smith bringing yeah he's young but guess what he's still NBA incredibly raw hasn't matured hasn't grown hasn't refined anything skill wise so he has of no value right now he's not helping out anybody Mike Scott if my sky can hit a three he's worthless out on the court he can't play defense save his life so the only thing you really have his draft picks which you're really running out of them so when you look at the the reality of their situation right you know that nobody wants a Smith Mike Scott Tobias Harris is completely untreatable who on earth would want that contract for a guy who's hit or miss night in and night out who is completely unreliable nobody that's a contractor you try to get rid of when you eat a lot of it if things get out of control al Horford come home find a single team that's gonna want anything to do with that contract including the Sixers to be honest with MBT and Ben Simmons now I know earlier tonight our when I was that I was at home doing a little bit of prep get you know for let's talk about tonight and jotting down some bullet points you know Howard Eskin joins Joe Giulio I usually Tuesday nights and of course you know what a certain point they were talking six years and I'm listening to Howard and he would love for the Sixers to have the the guts to trade either Simmons or in beat by Thursday afternoon when it comes to that I could not disagree more we all know what they think it is it comes down to this we all know would ban is capable of and we all know if that big if becomes unlocked what is truly capable of and and the different level that he goes to what we we see how talented he is Jo Ellan beat when his mind his head is on tie and his mind is focused we all know the talent that he truly is and what he's capable of there is the incredible talents in the NBA which are so rare and hard to find right this is what you stunk those years for to get players like that do you think if you decide to trade either of them by Thursday afternoon you will get anywhere near close that value in return no you sell either of them you're getting fifty percent at best in return you're not getting the proper pieces that you think you're missing in return for one of them not even close the best I and I mean this is what I think they're going to do I I would be I I'm I I can't imagine any scenario where they decide that we tried to trade either of them by Thursday three PM what I envision possibly happening they move on from the head coach they find somebody else to try to get through to one of them to try to make it work you exhaust all options before you make a decision as drastic as trading one of those two players I mean this is the hope right here I I can't envision any scenario because the we all know Joe wells a half court player which doesn't exactly fit well as a centerpiece in today's NBA which is all about pace but having said that if it's heads on tight you get to the playoffs that's when you need to have core presence more than anything and when you have banned unless he has the exact talent around him his shortcomings will come forth in a half court game yet again so I I still I still hold out hope that the two of them can work together if the towns around the correctly if they're motivated properly if they're put in certain situations I will

NBA Trade Deadline: D’Angelo Russell To The Knicks?

"We're going to go through all the major players teams and things and what they can happen as we were just over forty eight hours away from the trade deadline online. So let's start there Ryan with the New York Knicks. They are actually one of the more interesting teams around the deadline. That got a lot of potential assets that they could be sending out. Marcus Morris has one of those guys. They've got a lot of potential interesting. Big teams could be interesting and also we've heard rumors about their interest in de Ngelo Russell in some sort of trade situation with the Golden State Warriors. So what could you tell us. What's what's the what's the latest on the next and what you're hearing about their plan now that they've no longer have Steve Mills that has their president as we approached the trade deadline? I'd be frustrated about about the de Ngelo Russell rumors if I were Nix fan because keep in mind. The Knicks had a bunch of cap space last year it was widely known that the Brooklyn Nets and other teams. We're going to pursue Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving and that the Ngelo Russell may be acquire -able and When the Knicks did not get a meeting with Kevin Durant or Kyrie Irving they quickly shifted and signed a a bunch of power forwards including Julius randle and Marcus Morris and Bobby Portis and did not go after Daniel Russell despite a big hole at the point guard position? So you know if the Knicks were to trade a bunch of assets for Liangelo. I think that would look pretty bad. You know six or seven months after free agency but You know this is where the Knicks I think they have the worst point guard or depth and talent rotation in the league. I I don't think they have a viable starter right now. It'd be hard to say that Frank Nickel Tina or Dennis Smith junior is they're offered Payton. It is a at least they'll even league average started so I understand why they have some interest in in the Angela Russell again I think they should be looking long term. I think they should could see if they can get the late first round pick from a contender for Marcus Morris. I keep an eye and the clippers Rudy. He made a good point earlier about the clippers ability to trade a first round. Pick the last time in in a in a while So you deal that would work. is Marcus Morris going to La For Mo- heartless and a first something like that. So that's that's where I'd be exploring if I were in the next front office but again what they should do and what they are doing. I think maybe two very different things I heard the next. They're interested in keeping Morris and they may potentially even add to their team like trying to trade for a Daniel Russell which I think would be a mistake but Yeah with what they have going on in the front office right now with with the changes in the short term pressure. I wouldn't be surprised if they make an aggressive move to try to add to their help me out with the NGELO. Russell like feel like they're the team in in the Leveraged Bridge position. But I don't feel that way I feel like there's kind of like a ticking time bomb on when they can get rid of him but it seems like the more they ask for assets. The people are willing to give that up like me understand de Ngelo Russell. Why teams are so interested in getting good question scale? I think because if you're a team that needs a young point guard which is we've discussed. This show is probably the most difficult position to fill in today's NBA. You don't have one then. The NGELO Russell is the best player lawyer who looks like he's available or maybe available either now or in the summer so I think if you're a team you know you're probably kick the tires on a guy like drew holiday. I especially especially if you're a contending team but if you're a team that's trying to build like the Knicks or like the Minnesota Timberwolves and Diangelo Russel is appealing because he's relatively young. He's in his prime him and he's under team control for the next four years One of the questions. I had prior to this. Trait season was whether teams look at. The Angelo is overpaid now because keep in mind Minnesota talking to a deal with the Ngelo Russell and the twenty five million dollar a year range. I ended up getting an average of about thirty from Golden State. So that's not a significant difference Overall but it does impact your team building your your salary cap and potential luxury tax ramifications down the road. So I agree with this gal but I think You know Diangelo. Russell is available now teams know that if they can't get him now that will almost certainly be available over the summer. And if you're a team like Minnesota where the young star and Karl Anthony towns who doesn't want to wait to win games aims and your teams lost eleven or twelve in a row. I think that makes Dangelo Russell. Even more appealing.

Four players most likely on the move at NBA trade deadline

"Team. I'm intrigued by is the Philadelphia. Seventy sixers who came into the season as a favorite to win the east. But I think they're aware see right now than people probably would have predicted and wild Tobias Harrison. Al Horford have both played well. It's still unclear whether any of these players including Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid should even be on the same team. Do you think there's any chance they make a big move ahead of the deadline or you can never say there's no chance but I think there's not A. There's not much of a chance that they move any the of their starters. So that's Harris Horford Embiid J. Rich and Ben Simmons or Matisse table who everyone and their brother wants because he's good and young and can you know defend like seven people. Once part of the reason I didn't mention much. I think they're going to do the obvious thing which is trying to package their little fringe stuff and see if they can get a little upgrade a guy that can shoot and come off the bench and all that but ah if they like. You said they're six.

New technology could expand scope of South-South Cooperation, UN envoy says

"This is Natalie Hutchinson with UN News South South cooperation is essential and critical and reaching the ambitious Sustainable Development Goals Agenda Come Twenty twenty thirty and the digital world will play an instrumental role that's from Horford Chadwick the special envoy of the Secretary General and director of the UN Office Office on the Matter U. N. O. S. C. who explains how the massive sharing of information with countries of the south can be amplified by online tools ahead of the international day a of south. South cooperation marked on the twelfth of September. Mr Check spoke to you on news is lucky notice about the march launch of south south galaxy a new information sharing technology that works as a living database. He explained what new institutional commitments have been made since the adoption of the window side is plan of action for promoting and implementing technical nickel cooperation among developing countries better known as Baba also in March of this year. This year is very important for south South cooperation because was we celebrated earlier emergency sheer at the circle high level confidence on south-south Cooperation Inborn aside. This conference confirmed that South South Corporation is absolutely essential and critical if we are to achieve the two thousand and thirty agenda and the Sustainable Dana Development Goals because conscious of the South developing countries have shown answers to many problems that can be shared with other countries that have similar conditions at the same time there is a massive increase in the volume of Investment Trade Finance Finance dignam logical corporation so the scope of south South Corporation has expanded significantly at the same time the actors of South South cooperation have grown exponentially. It'd be used to be just a government to government type of collaboration now go through the process of expansion and also the validation that was given politically in Buna sides in the conference it costs to incorporate local governments the private sector Deca they mix sector. Sec a sole civil society organizations non governmental organization sation faith-based organizations and others so therefore today we're celebrating the borders of South South cooperation and in achieving the goals that we need to achieve an also the that it has a lot of actors and a lot of dimensions since about bother the glory in March. Have we seen already any of these steps. Meaning implemented in the past months is we have seen significant institutional commitment of many actors the region and the global level for example within the US system many United Nations agencies and organizations have adopted did or are in the process of adopting that don't south-south strategies. My Office itself has been commissioned by the secretary general. I'm by the conference conference itself to coordinate the preparation of U. N. system. Wide Strategy for South South Corporation also participated secreting civil regular thematic meetings by which countries another actors are really engaging how to implement the message the mandate that emerged from one aside so yes there is a lot of movement and we feel that momentum will keep increasing particularly considering leading deb coming a serious of summits that will take place in conjunction with the high level segment of the UN General Assembly including the summit summit on climate climate action called for by the Secretary General the one on the sustainable development goals. They want some more pathways wondering access to health all of them require significant expansion of south South Corporation. If we're going to succeed so therefore we have high expectations picked issue that this year will continue to see the expansion of the actors and the Copa Sauce Wrangler competition in one side is your office is launched the Seltzer Galaxy pro prototype and now it's our reality. Can you tell us more about this. One of the problems of Celso recuperation is sometimes we know who have been tuition that daddy serve response to our challenges but then we don't have the mechanisms this basis from where we can get that information in that context. My office tried to learn from the experiences of the main databases that exist and we decided that we're going to offer a platform as a public services. I robot public good to create a space where people broken access this information kind canot can identify what type of experience where it is which is to shrunken unsupported can help them with their needs and we're introducing a new element which is the utilization of artificial intelligence that is the new mechanism thrown all algorithm to facilitate the process of searching the process of matching so the ideas that we we recover next generation platform going beyond what exists today that has already the wine and the participation fifteen. United Nations agencies a significant partners that are going to join a narrow ready joining so we feel that galaxy will become an instrument to make a a south South cooperation more of a reality than it is by cutting a significant barrier to entry which is the lack of reliable our information. I relax over the lack of access to institutional channels to promote this exchanges. Thank you so much for historic especially envoy for South South cooperation. Thank you very much louder.

"I can leverage some of these assets, quote unquote assets and look at them as players and treat them as such. And I think it Wanda backfiring on him from putting Kyrenia leadership position without the support from a organizational standpoint. I don't think they supported him and gave him people to connect with to show him, how to be a leader. They start that some of that LeBron magic would wear off on him. And it did not. And now you have all. These this Gruntal young players, and you have a veteran and Al Horford who's like you know what I got X amount of years left. I'm in my early thirties. I'm not going to take a hometown discount for eighteen that's not going to compete for championship if we're being realistic. I better take this money while I can't he's had injury histories over the past three or four years. And when we find out where he goes, that's going to say a lot about what the Celtics are as an organization, and emotionally. We didn't talk much about it. But this season had to be harder on out Horford than anybody on that team. Our was as you mentioned earlier. See a two-time champion at university of Florida won a championship. And then he and that whole crew joke him, Noah Corey brewer said, you know what we're gonna come back and try to do it again. And they did it and he got to the NBA was an excellent player was on a sixty. When Atlanta team maybe the best player on that Atlanta team and ran into LeBron. And then got to Boston and ran into LeBron. And then last year LeBron's gone Kyrie's healthy Hayward's back, and this is the year. I Al Horford make my first NBA finals and what we're the fourth or fifth team in the conference all year long. We went our first five playoff games, and then fall flat on our face, it couldn't have left a worse taste anyone's mouth, other than Horford. So it makes sense that he would leave, especially with Mark signs report. Someone's getting rail from four years, one hundred million bucks. But on The Danny aines point, it's amazing to me, the guy that played in the eighties has been around this league for the entirety of my life that he doesn't know something. So obvious to everyone else to make the NBA finals to win a championship. You have to have not an all star, not a nice team. Not a good. Supporting cast superstars magic bird. Isaiah Jordan Akeem shack Dunkin Kobe. Lebron Steph, those ten guys at least one of them has been in forty consecutive NBA finals, you got one of those guys okay if not you're drawn debt and the problem for. Them. And the reason why Danny aines should be criticized is unlike many teams they had so many bites at the apple getting a guy like that. You could've traded for coli. You could've traded for Anthony Davis. You could've traded for Paul George you could've traded for Blake Griffin. You could've traded for Bill cousins. You could've coulda instead Terry Rozier was untouchable. And then Jaylen Brown's touchable. And now of course, Jason Tatum's untouchable. And those three players combined all set their career all star games at two and a half and take the under. So okay, that's your plan moving forward, which is not a plan moving forward then reported last week, Danny aines had opportunity trae for lynyrd. Yeah. He wouldn't include who Jaylen Brown. Yeah..

ESPN's Kevin Arnovitz on NBA All Star voting

"And now the low post welcome to the low post podcast where we are somehow halfway through the NBA season. Which means it is a fishery time to start thinking about all stars. And to do that. I could think of no one better known who's more excited about the all star game all star weekend and a fixture. If you roll into like, the the G Q party at three in the morning, and it's really thumping yuno ESPN's, Kevin arnovitz is going to be at the center of it. It's like it's like Joel Embiid and Kevin arnovitz and they're at the center that Mr. arnovitz, how are you? I'm well. How are you? Good. Did that accurately describe your all star weekend? Yeah. I I'm actually goading going to boulder sitting vodka for all star weekend very excited about this. I'm going to the Dominican Republic. My wife, my wife, very my wife wanted we do it's time. It's time to I haven't taken a vacation in season since Lynn Sanderson's, I missile insanity by accident. And so I figured this is safe and we're bringing the grandparents so he can hand my child to them and be normal human beings for a couple of days. I actually talked to L Horford about going to the fake Dominican. But it's still nice. I said, I know we're just want to go to a beach fetus, I'm gonna miss also do like all star that doesn't mean that we can escape our obligation to pick two participants in an exhibition game. Do you want to start with the east or the west? Well, I mean, that's an interesting question. I feel like well, I mean, obviously, the west is populated with more talent. I mean, it's incredible. When you gotta do this exercise. The like the contrast you have to talk yourself in the west out of guys in the east. You have to talk yourself into guys. So I, you know, what the east always gets precedent in this country like television things everything as they west coast denizen. Let's do the west. I it's also the better. Wow. Okay. We'll do. We'll do the west. I so here here are the rules. I made you I didn't I didn't demand. Final picks. In fact, my picks are are not completely finalized. Yes. But when I do this I like to like to ignore the fan vote completely and just pay. I don't even know pick. The I don't even know apparently Luca weight or doing very well. And pick twelve the full twelve person roster for free conference and. I lamb basted the NBA last week for the continued fealty to both positions and conference. Like, why are we doing twelve and twelve it stood Iran? Can I rant about a couple of things, and we can get it out of the way? Yes complained anymore. All right. A right if we're not playing with versus let's just take the best reserves respective of conference, easy, even more than that. And it's something, you know, we talked about in a word voting anybody in the NBA watching basketball these days when we're talking about front court in backward. I mean, I think you and I've been talking for years about point wings bigs, right? Like, I the fact that there is very little distinguishing twos and threes on most teams this days. The it's just we need to get to a point where it's perimeters and Biggs or again point wing big or something because it's just there the modern Cain does not accommodate these classifications. And I just don't. Like, I don't get surely they know this like this is the product. It's actually a great thing talk about position basketball. This is one of the great they sell this brand of basketball as a reason to tune in. So why not have all star voting for that matter awards voting conform to this new era of of basketball? So so I am basted another word that do not know the origin of the NBA office for for all of this stuff. It sounds like a turtle. Yeah. Based Basting something I don't know how to base the Turkey. I'm really not very useful very hard for almost any household. I have to cook dinner tonight because my life is sick. I have to I have to my wife is six I had to do everything in the morning.

"Honest so drills it to make it a three point game here's rosier quickly back the other way punched away from behind by chris middleton and it may have been touched by rosiere on its way out of bounds it's milwaukee ball but you're absolutely right the other end of the floor offensively honest going to the basket they had of about thirty five feet away to previous trip you gotta get him eighteen thousand feet at closer logged in on the angle rights seventeen footer high off the yield oh good rebound rosier celtics fifty two bucks forty nine two minutes into the third rosier front court left with the celtics in white picket with horford horford all the way at soccer the top dives it attempts at down with to hand ice extension to buy horford just them with maker trailing just a little bit he had a roll those shoulders towards the basket to extend for the dunk fifty four to forty nine boston but ninth thirty five to play in the third on the left here is let's so all the way inside scooping sean pass rosier off the glass slapped by horford it's a goal to let so playing with those three thousand he had it in the first half so watch for him to be a little bit more aggressive until he picks up that fourth already nine points from milwaukee out of the gate here in this quarter four for al horford per boston there's rosier at the top watch by bledsoe shut off on the penetration so he leaves it for horford answer to tatum at the top roofs right we're gonna get spittle to expensive at the right hesitates tries to split the defense gets inside and draws a foul on his way to the rim against middleton that'd be the second on chris yeah even though there was a little extra dribbling thereby by tatum just and where was he trying to go he got hung up a little bit about fifteen seventeen feet away but his thought process was to get it to the rim it was a foul on the floor before the shot always should by tatum so side out about the cubs it a smart at the top throws to horford against makers he dribbles into the paint pitches back out to rosiere it from.

"To that trade you suggested with al horford jason tatum for hawaii leonard i really don't think that'd be a good idea i think we already got a guy you're forgetting about gordon hayward coming back at that position i think we need a bigger defendant a bigger he got the job done these batteries good rebounder he doesn't he's not flashy on the statute but i think it's a great but what if you're going to bring if you're gonna bring coli leonard and and if you're going to trade one of those young pieces that you have the thing that sucks is yet to find a way to match the contracts that colli would have an al horford would have that's the easiest way to do it because you aren't really paying anyone along those same lines i get what you're saying horford horford is not word for what he is paid but horford does give you a defensively hate on horford it's easy to hate on horford but he's i mean i think the top to your players are obviously underpaid with the salary cap aware it is this the the max contracts that guys can get it screws it all lebron should be making one hundred million a year probably in some of these other players should be in that same in that same kind of category and i'm not here to dump on al horford entirely and and i i don't think he's ever been here to dump on al horford entirely he is a good player in the things that you don't really get paid a whole lot of money for in terms of just being occupying space being smart communicating with everybody else if you want a guy like kawhi leonard though who can give you all that defensive stuff and maybe you lose a little bit of that edge on the inside but do you still need that edge on the inside to the same degree that you did a couple years ago when everyone had biggs and everyone was trying to post people up because i think.

"Milwaukee bucks people loading up on the box to come back and even up that opening round playoff series it is completely lopsided most of the money's bet right before these games are played but nine out of ten nine out of ten dollars being wagered going in favor of the milwaukee bucks so the public is all over the greek freak and chris middleton and the bucks to get it done against the celtics and the game on tuesday night al horford will be out there man of much conversation in the last couple of days here some deep analysis on al horford at his place in the nba pecking order and what who the real al horford as they say and as many appointed out when the playoffs come around odd things have charles barkley was having a field day over the weekend goofing on al horford and pointing out that the the numbers that al horford is putting it up during the regular season that when charles barkley was putting those kind of numbers up at the end of his career they forced him to retire which is not a good it's not bad line it's pretty good line by charles barkley as he attempted to troll one al horford but the the deep dive the guys go deep into it on the the stat statuary they go they go nuts like oh my god al horford all these advanced statistics al horford is wonderful he's absolutely great there's nothing you can do that i mean he just go on and on about it i just completely lick his toes about how wonderful al horford is and this this rush to defend al over it's like the regular season is completely irrelevant here's the headline al horford showing why he's worth every single penny every single penny al horford is worth it's not an overreaction at all that is not no no no no no that is.

"Ninety five six one seven seven seven nine zero 985 in last night really was just the latest surprise for a team that so far through thirteen games has been uh by surprises your jaylen brown's improvement even though he's taken a step back from here over the last couple of weeks it's that has bagged player than he was last year he's made an improvement you look at carry irving in his start we all thought he was a top twenty player in the league but i think many people overlooked some of the things that he can do and how special he can be on the offense event and so you have kyrghiz start answering all the questions telling all a doubters to shut up you at al horford new swag how 'bout horford right little bit a swag from near lash name as aggressive as he should have been he wasn't asked confident as should have been but you're watching this year and it looks like a different guide far as personality i've loved alpher a long time since his days at florida i thought he was a very good player before gbah then i felt that last year for the people that criticised him it got borderline ridiculous how they went after that guy i've been a big horford finn i remain a big horford fan but even as one i will tell you that he is much better this year than he was last year and he has a different approach a different personality mcgann go back to that word swag i don't know if it's kyrghiz that that is helping him in that category we know kyrghiz has a lot of confidence we know he has a lot of swag so maybe that's helping hall for me that's bleeding into whole foods game a little bit there are a lot of surprises on this team this year um the start bragged my biggest surprise jason tatum how 'bout jason tatum last night against kids poise you know it's late in the fourth quarter giving him need they're giving him the rock saying you have a mismatch kid go oneonone take cody zeller score us points guinea pig buckets help us uh years old what he do offensively when you watch tatum tell me.
