How Joel Embiid Became An MVP Contender

"Also derek. Last season ended in pretty disappointing. Fashion for philadelphia. That'll do it. The boston celtics move on by defeating the seventy sixers. Four games to nothing. The first ever went wrong in that first round against boston for embiid and the sixers. I think a bunch of things went wrong. First of all. You can't start without saying this. Ben simmons zone. Outside of that sort of what went wrong was wrong with the sixers all year. The team didn't fit well yet. Al horford and josh richardson. Who were tough it's around a post op center and embiid. Richardson shooting for three ended out. They didn't have a real reliable second often times during the series alec. Burks was your secondary options on offense recipe. Brad stevens and the celtics and bead romeo leg for the rookie thinking about double vacates birds. Who can't make them pay. So there is a lot of mistakes that were made roster building and there were missing. Simmons isn't it was a tough series for sure. Can you remind us what the narrative was after that first round exits surrounding joel embiid and his performance. Yeah it was fascinating because on one hand when they came back into the bubble they had spent pretty much those months in between working with you all to get better at handling dull teams and it came out in the bubble in orlando during the seeding games and some of that had started to show and he looked like he was handling double teams better and he came out against the celtics. And i think that he converted back a little bit in terms of struggling with the double team and bead backing down ties gordon hayward on the help and they come up with the steel but he was dominant as an individual score. That was locked off and be. Did it again. Safe focused joel. Fb five of seven. Give him thirteen of his team's thirty one. We'll lifesaver on that. So i think a lot of people looked at you made steps. He did most of what he could do individually. He just didn't have enough help around him. Well that disappointing end to a long season led to a number of changes within the sixers organization. Can you take us through. Some of the moves that philly made in the off season and how they related to unlocking the better performances from joel. Embiid is off the front office. Obviously brought daryl morey To work above. Elton brand and then they brought in doc rivers replace brett brown and then you had some pretty key addition to traded al horford for essentially danny green. And then josh. Richardson for steph curry. And i think those two editions have been pretty big with joel. Because i think if you look either trade you'd say the sixers got the lesser talent but the fit and just having to players in curry and green. Who the other team can't leave has been huge for. Joel shoe autom- double wall and pass. And you miss accomplish you. Miss a lot of shots You just straightening and then you start thinking of all you gotta do everything by yourself. 'cause everybody's not made the shots. Richardson horford they were not only inconsistent shooting. If they are unwilling shooters and they'd hesitate any office. Which is kinda come grinding down to a halt not only is curry making his shots and all these green making his permanent shots. But the ball is moving around the perimeter. Much quicker than it was. So there's more consequential doubling joel embiid than there ever has been monarch got a lot of assists but Ogle gets one us open. Invite double or triple team has a lot of hockey else's shake milton hinton to downtown ten points and ten minutes off the bench make no mistake that play which about drawing the double and then the ball moving east gotta be willing to be content. That the ball's the swing opposite and he's gonna creative for shots teams are now left with a real choice whereas before i think the whole strategy just send you all need help and disguise it a little bit senate in different locations but if you send it frequently enough you're going to confuse joel embiid or the sixers aren't going to have the talent or the players to make him pay. I think that's changed now.

Danny Ainge's Celtics Conundrum

"The logical question though, and he got into this a lot with Bob and we got his thoughts. But obviously I want yours as well. You know, there are only so many options really that Danny Ainge has because of just the economic setup of this month. Stir, you know, it's very top-heavy salary cap wise young guys, you know, you can all right fine. So you don't bring back like an enes Kanter not a young guy but a cheap guy, you know, that's that's not going to give you all that much flexibility back. So it's really do you want to trade Marcus Smart, which I don't think anybody wants to do or do you want to move off of Gordon Hayward in some way shape or form now? He has the power which is often for that 34 + million dollars next year or he could opt out do what everyone thought was going to happen with Al Horford last year, which is re-signed him, you know more years lower aav average wage will value or you know option three is obviously you trade the guy. I don't think there's a scenario in which he just hops out and doesn't return I don't believe that anyway coming off the injury, maybe if he had had a bought a strong healthy season and great playoff run sure, but that wasn't the reality. So it's it's kind of a b and c with Gordon, but you know Brown who has just resigned isn't going anywhere. Tatum's going to get his contract cambuslang. In anywhere, so it's sort of adjusts, you know, your your salary cap position as a results to Hayward or you kind of bring back everybody and you just look to cherry-pick some depth off that balance like you're talking about right or or is there something I'm missing? Yeah. No, I mean and that's the other part of it is in you mentioned Caden pretty extensively Jaylen Brown has also shown he can be foundational second piece that goes he's turning twenty-four I think in like two weeks to have another player like that who and let's face it. The Celtics are pretty fortunate like the wage and they gave him he would Be worth a little more right now. She was going into like restricted free agency. So in addition to those guys being pieces you hope and assume they're both going to get them like camber is what can build which is, you know, an All-Star starters really good. Obviously your concerns about his knee. Hopefully that there's up but with Tatum and Jaylen there's still some there's still a level there. You think if you're if you're a self extension you hope so maybe that's what it takes to kind of get over the hump and you talk about Hayward. Obviously, I know fans are kind of disenchanted with them. He's had some just brutal block really like it's not like these injuries you suffering because he's like frail or like, you know, like just just brutal brutal luck. But off this year when he was healthy like last year when he was healthy. He was still not himself. It was clear this year when he was healthy looked really good. He was one of the best players and I think it was encouraging birth. You there aren't a lot of Gordon hayward's out there. We talked about like moving off of Gordon Hayward like he's back and playing like he's capable. That's a pretty big asset to have particularly. If you're putting them alongside our guys like Jason jail and who were still on their uptrend?

NBA Campus Intel: Lakers' Offensive Woes Continue in the Bubble

"Thing about the bubble is I think it's GonNa. Be Really hard to execute your primary offense. If you will 'cause is way more indepth scouting of every team because you can literally go and see those teams in the bubble and they're all on TV and you have plenty of time to. Track things and check things out may make for uglier place more physical playoffs where these games, the defense sometimes is optional for much of the game. But I I guess I'm not a sold in Lakers and clippers and bucks even though I still think the Lakers clippers and bucks will be the Ford. Three of the fourteen remaining obviously the one thing with it's it's interesting as Ben? Simmons tweaks his knee right where you start to think to yourself wait I thought that that Joel embiid was going to be the injury plagued. One Simmons was one who had the back back issue before Kovic shut things down and now he tweaks a knee. Meanwhile, you got embiid who doesn't seem to be happy with anybody. Such a talent team but one that doesn't seem to have the ability to kind of get right but dude embiid is so talented. WHOA. So crazy talented I do think generally in the NBA now the jazz shake Milton playing the point gives them a viable scoring weapon I still like him on not nearly as much if Ben Simmons but you know they do al Horford but it would. It feels like it would kill there. Any chance to come out of the east. If you don't have been Simmons,

Facing Fear (Part 2) - Awakening Your Fearless Heart

"Now in our last talk on this? I gave two weeks ago. We covered. What happens when we'RE CAUGHT? In fear that our perceptions are sick the lens narrows and we fixate on threat and to some degree depending how much is going on. We go into fight flight freeze. And so there's cortisol and other stress hormones going and our muscles pyden and are the body extremities get fired up and the digestion goes you know kind of halts and our thoughts are circling around what we're anxious about. That creates more anxiety in our body and our brain because our limbic system activated the frontal cortex is deactivated which means less access to executive functioning to mindfulness to kindness empathy. And we know that when we're all worried we're not our hearts not wide open. We're not feeling tender about others or the world so this is for many again. It's a matter of degree kind of habitual state and it's a trance contracted agitated state. We don't have access to our whole being and it's often described as the body of fear. Fear Body and the fundamental feature of it. Is that our sense of self has narrowed into being fearful self? We're no longer in touch with a sense of awareness or spirit or hard or any any of that vast mystery of what we are. We are a fearful self on our way into trouble so the first step of awakening from this transom. This is really what we're looking at in. This class is to recognize okay body of fear. Trans caught in something. And we start sentence the body and it's tension we start feeling the squeeze and we might notice and take a little time with this there couple major domains that we get caught him when we're tensing against the future and one of the big ones that many of us is a fear of failure that what's coming up. I'M GONNA FAIL. I'm not gonNA perform well and then they'll be consequences all be rejected so we each have our version of how we're GONNA fall short but it matters a whole lot to us because falling short means we get kind of pushed out of the tribe so to speak so a while ago a cartoon these two sharks and conversation and one to the other. The pressure to be great is too much. I'd rather be known as the just okay White Shark so conversation about this fear of failure with a friend last week and she said all my life. I have been trying to figure out what my deepest fear was and I've just toggle between is it the fear of being bad you know being a failure. Ours is the fear of loneliness being separate and we started talking about that and she said she would play it out say well what if. I was just really bad but I wasn't lonely are what if I was like completely lonely but I wasn't bad and she realized when she really sorted out that the worst twists fear of separation that it was the isolation but usually they came together because when she felt bad she felt cut off but I think it's really powerful to realize. How much are sensitive? Not Okay goes hand in hand with them working to be cut off and removed from any real connection with others so this fear failure and then there's the fear of missing out foam. Oh which many of us really know close in daily of not getting something we want where fear of not getting that connection with another person fear of not having something workout financially or a chance to impress or gain influence or have an adventure have another experience that matters so grasp after gratification and it and it goes to spiritual realms to the sphere missing out. I noticed people. Retreats will be sharing experiences. And there's a few like God that person was sitting all blissful and dissolved into Rainbow Light and I've just been like dealing with my neurosis and so it's like in spiritual life to fear of missing out. I I remember longtime ago. Actually one of my father's favorite stories of two men who their friends that have these spiritual conversations about what was possible. And really they believed in the afterlife and they were really fascinated with what they would be able to experience and they made an agreement as they got older that Horford died. I wouldn't some way send a message about what it was like. What was the experience? And so one of them died and took some months but the other one start having seances and so on and finally he heard his voice and he confirmed it was San many said. So what's it like? What's the afterlife? Like and his friend said well we we? We have sex and we sleep then we eat and we have sacked so many sleep then goes over nervous and expensive. Wow so that's what happens like heaven I'm not having a Moose in Wyoming. I don't know what you believe. That's one version of reincarnation so a fear of missing out and then our deepest fear really and this is the fundamental the loss of our life. And that's the sense of living with the uncertainty and fragility of our own existence. And we each have that. It's again rigged into our nervous system. And so while we might be fixated on a particular thing if we scrape beneath the surface will find that there's fear and often at set deep fragility of you know how to preserve me the existences self. So the path to waking up from tramps is to get it okay in the transit fear. That's the beginning of waking up just to know what's happening and once we identify it then there's enough presence to pause and deepen attention and this is where we're going now. How do we deepen attention? So we've noticed it. Okay I'm caught. I'm shrunk again I'm fixated. I'm spinning and strangling worries. Okay now what but if we noticed that we can pause now in Asian artwork and this is also the gateways of temples and the dollars and so on a lot of the way it's a -pected the spiritual transformation is depicted is with these animal headed deities these very aggressive and fearful and rage looking gods and goddesses and that the only way you can to the center of the Manala are into the temple gates is to go through a passageway through these Rachel Scary Deities and the message in that and the message that we get really in the wives teachings of all cultures are to wake up from the transit fear. We actually have to go through the fear and s awake away as possible.

Ben Simmons' Injury Calls for More Consistency From Joel Embiid

"More bad news regarding Ben Simmons yesterday. He reportedly has a nerve impingement in his lower back. As a result he's expected to now be sidelined for an extended period of time. He will be reevaluated. In two weeks there is little expectation. Though that he'll be close to return at that point. Nick is the sixers season basically in jeopardy or is now this embiid. It's time to go out there and own it and shine. Yes and yes yes. They're seasons in jeopardy. Their season jeopardy basically evidently since the season started when they did not take a leap forward and step instead they took a step or a step and a half backwards but yes also this is Joel. Embiid opportunity to show everyone. We can be better without Ben Simmons. Mb Better with a point guard or with a collection of players in return for Ben Simmons that better fit my very unique skill set in the modern NBA. That Simmons and embiid have been an awkward fit from the beginning because of Simmons refusal to shoot and because embiid even though he will take some three pointers is maybe our last remaining old school. Nba Center back to the basket. Give me the ball. I'M GONNA punish you on the post and so the fit has just been awkward. And we've seen that. Both guys have at times played their best basketball games. The other guy has missed playoffs last year. Maybe best game whose career was a game. Joel embiid was out. Joel embiid the highest scoring game of his career. Literally was the other night when Ben Simmons was out and so I think Antoine. With or without Simmons. This is not a championship level team. They have not played to that level anywhere close with through fifty five games while the bucks clearly have but it is an opportunity for Joel. Embiid to give the sixers. Maybe a sneak preview of what the team would look like if this offseason. They were to see what Ben Simmons could fetch on the open market. I believe that. Obviously they're not. They're not a team that can win win with either one of those guys together or without them. They're not going to be able to win. And these two conference. I think the fourth best team in the East I think obviously Milwaukee's better than the Celtics. Antonio I think all three of those teams better than them even when phillies whole Right now this is going to be opportunity. L. andbranch legitimate shot to really get take a really good sample size of what they all. Look like if Ben Simmons then play and I would look at it. I will take that approach. Because that's been the compensation that maybe these guys cannot 'cause this together so I will take a look at that and see if embiid could be the guy that you can build around and see if you can win with him that fourteen game five hundred. Just settling scores still out there. Tobias Harris a guy you pay big into free agency. You still have him. Obviously Josh Switches on team you made a great trade thought an ad and scorns the team without its birth and then Robinson added to other guys. That can score the basketball. So they're not they're not out of they're gonNA make the playoffs. They should be able to win a first round series without Ben Simmons Back Andrew. I take that very serious. I think this is something that you cannot rush rush back. This is a guy a franchise type player. So you don't want to rush him back just for this season so you gotta make sure he's healthy. But I do not believe when even with both of those guys that are fourth best team in the East and you got to be very cautious to bring a same as back a- and at times it's unfair we've said on this show before the single best in life in the NBA. Is the the non superstar on the Max contract because you get all the money with none of the pressure none of the criticism? We talk so much about Simmons and embiid. Tobias Harris has not played nearly up to the standards. They paid him to play at an Al Horford. That that move right now is one. They would like back the money they gave. Horford in the fit. But those guys are I. Don't WANNA say untradable with those guys are going to be on the team next season. So you do want to see what those two guys can look like with. Embiid there without Simmons but the the numbers are are jarring. As far as way win the sixers are at their best with with embiid without some between show him. I think within bead without Simmons with Simmons without embiid with both of them with neither so that's their margin that's their net rating with just embiid. That is a that is a great team as far as net rating with just Simmons. That's a good team with both of them. That's an average team and obviously with neither of them. It's a terrible team. You don't WanNa see the numbers like that that somehow they are the worst with both of them then with just one of the two it does speak to potentially a bigger problem also to add to that. I just think when you're to superstars in both of those guys are stars last year. Yep they didn't get better You know you gotTa You. GotTa sometimes you look in the mirror. Ben Simmons to shoot a jump shot. That's embarrassing you know. You had to add a jump shot you smith all summer. You got everybody filming. You shoot. Jump shots you only want to shoot. Won The game so let me ask you this then. There have been so many stops along the way where we're Ben. Simmons could have been like. Oh okay reality check or now. It's time for me to now. It's an off season. It's time for me to get better. I've gotten myself so far if Joel embiid goes out and carries this team and I know that the record coming up or their schedules schedule is going to be a little bit easy but say they go out and be great without Ben Simmons. Could that be a wakeup call? Could that be a a little bit of a gut check like listen? I got I got to step my game up if this is not where my future is looking at. This has been. The talk is the conversation L. Brent. They may have the sits may have no they don't trade it and neither one of them but I think if you WanNa trae one of them you get a good look at. I think it's just a fact you get an opportunity to look at it. Take a real good sample size and see what you like. If you WANNA take one or the other I will keep both of them. I will just hold both of them accountable. I think you have to have real talks with them and say if you WANNA get on to the next level. We got to continue to improve. That's everything when be continue working on his body getting better law he what. He's good and where he could be effective at his game. Ben Simmons has to develop some type of jump shot or at least attempt some type of Johnson for him to continue to get better so he can expand his game. You gotta put that pressure on them and these guys have been making all star teams. These guys are supposed to be getting you over the Hump and getting you back to the finals. And they're not making the right adjustments in their game. So it'd be interesting to see what what Philly does. But what's so odd is their first year together. They were a dynamic. On-court pair that the net rating that. I just showed when they're together is point. Nine less than one point was fifteen and a half plus fifteen half their first year together. The year they ended the regular season on that crazy. Winning streak seemed like a really dangerous team going into the postseason until I think it was the celtics knocked him out in the CA- yeah it was the Celtics in the second round of the Eastern Conference playoffs last year together. They were not as good as plus half but plus eight when they're on the court together this year to be plus one inch or two best players it makes no sense. Ginny. You say the reality check. Promise reality if you've been similar like well first year in the league. I'm the best rookie. My second year in the League I I make an all star team. Then I get a Max contract thirty in league all star again. I'm making Max money. Seems like what I'm doing is working here so it depends on what your what your ultimate goal is and what you measure success by. I think been someone who would sell. You Failed Never

Four players most likely on the move at NBA trade deadline

"Team. I'm intrigued by is the Philadelphia. Seventy sixers who came into the season as a favorite to win the east. But I think they're aware see right now than people probably would have predicted and wild Tobias Harrison. Al Horford have both played well. It's still unclear whether any of these players including Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid should even be on the same team. Do you think there's any chance they make a big move ahead of the deadline or you can never say there's no chance but I think there's not A. There's not much of a chance that they move any the of their starters. So that's Harris Horford Embiid J. Rich and Ben Simmons or Matisse table who everyone and their brother wants because he's good and young and can you know defend like seven people. Once part of the reason I didn't mention much. I think they're going to do the obvious thing which is trying to package their little fringe stuff and see if they can get a little upgrade a guy that can shoot and come off the bench and all that but ah if they like. You said they're six.

"I can leverage some of these assets, quote unquote assets and look at them as players and treat them as such. And I think it Wanda backfiring on him from putting Kyrenia leadership position without the support from a organizational standpoint. I don't think they supported him and gave him people to connect with to show him, how to be a leader. They start that some of that LeBron magic would wear off on him. And it did not. And now you have all. These this Gruntal young players, and you have a veteran and Al Horford who's like you know what I got X amount of years left. I'm in my early thirties. I'm not going to take a hometown discount for eighteen that's not going to compete for championship if we're being realistic. I better take this money while I can't he's had injury histories over the past three or four years. And when we find out where he goes, that's going to say a lot about what the Celtics are as an organization, and emotionally. We didn't talk much about it. But this season had to be harder on out Horford than anybody on that team. Our was as you mentioned earlier. See a two-time champion at university of Florida won a championship. And then he and that whole crew joke him, Noah Corey brewer said, you know what we're gonna come back and try to do it again. And they did it and he got to the NBA was an excellent player was on a sixty. When Atlanta team maybe the best player on that Atlanta team and ran into LeBron. And then got to Boston and ran into LeBron. And then last year LeBron's gone Kyrie's healthy Hayward's back, and this is the year. I Al Horford make my first NBA finals and what we're the fourth or fifth team in the conference all year long. We went our first five playoff games, and then fall flat on our face, it couldn't have left a worse taste anyone's mouth, other than Horford. So it makes sense that he would leave, especially with Mark signs report. Someone's getting rail from four years, one hundred million bucks. But on The Danny aines point, it's amazing to me, the guy that played in the eighties has been around this league for the entirety of my life that he doesn't know something. So obvious to everyone else to make the NBA finals to win a championship. You have to have not an all star, not a nice team. Not a good. Supporting cast superstars magic bird. Isaiah Jordan Akeem shack Dunkin Kobe. Lebron Steph, those ten guys at least one of them has been in forty consecutive NBA finals, you got one of those guys okay if not you're drawn debt and the problem for. Them. And the reason why Danny aines should be criticized is unlike many teams they had so many bites at the apple getting a guy like that. You could've traded for coli. You could've traded for Anthony Davis. You could've traded for Paul George you could've traded for Blake Griffin. You could've traded for Bill cousins. You could've coulda instead Terry Rozier was untouchable. And then Jaylen Brown's touchable. And now of course, Jason Tatum's untouchable. And those three players combined all set their career all star games at two and a half and take the under. So okay, that's your plan moving forward, which is not a plan moving forward then reported last week, Danny aines had opportunity trae for lynyrd. Yeah. He wouldn't include who Jaylen Brown. Yeah..

"We'll talk to him about that. And just a second. I found that interesting. How that Anthony Davis is dad said he felt the Celtics without loyal ties. Ahah Thomas therefore want Anthony Davis to play for the Boston Celtics. I'm wondering do you feel the same way about how the team treated Isaiah Thomas? Yeah. I think the reality. Would that is the hard reality is that this is a business? And sometimes, you know, there there is emotions there is different things going on. But then the day just help players we get to make our choices teams have to make their choices and their decisions. And sometimes it's it's not the most popular thing. But that's that's a reality that we live in. And I learned that, you know, very early in my career, some my veterans always always used to tell me that that just to think about it as a business, and and and and that's just the way it goes you say at the end of the day, it's a business, but the left tackle for the Rams. Andrew Whitworth has something else happening at the end of the day during the day. You're all going. So that was after the Super Bowl again if you didn't get that it's a little dark a bit nihilistic. But here's the left tackle of the Rams telling us we need to have perspective about all this stuff during the day. You're all going to die. He he oh, he's not wrong. Horford with the controversial sands agreeing with Indra Whitworth before we get you out of here on the chocolate milk note. You gotta take aside here, Draymond green or Rudy Gobert side or yawn. I'm on. I'm on Draymond side. Strong stance from horn. I don't think he wants to deal with Draymond. If he goes the other way, then kick in the junk. That's right. That's right..

ESPN's Kevin Arnovitz on NBA All Star voting

"And now the low post welcome to the low post podcast where we are somehow halfway through the NBA season. Which means it is a fishery time to start thinking about all stars. And to do that. I could think of no one better known who's more excited about the all star game all star weekend and a fixture. If you roll into like, the the G Q party at three in the morning, and it's really thumping yuno ESPN's, Kevin arnovitz is going to be at the center of it. It's like it's like Joel Embiid and Kevin arnovitz and they're at the center that Mr. arnovitz, how are you? I'm well. How are you? Good. Did that accurately describe your all star weekend? Yeah. I I'm actually goading going to boulder sitting vodka for all star weekend very excited about this. I'm going to the Dominican Republic. My wife, my wife, very my wife wanted we do it's time. It's time to I haven't taken a vacation in season since Lynn Sanderson's, I missile insanity by accident. And so I figured this is safe and we're bringing the grandparents so he can hand my child to them and be normal human beings for a couple of days. I actually talked to L Horford about going to the fake Dominican. But it's still nice. I said, I know we're just want to go to a beach fetus, I'm gonna miss also do like all star that doesn't mean that we can escape our obligation to pick two participants in an exhibition game. Do you want to start with the east or the west? Well, I mean, that's an interesting question. I feel like well, I mean, obviously, the west is populated with more talent. I mean, it's incredible. When you gotta do this exercise. The like the contrast you have to talk yourself in the west out of guys in the east. You have to talk yourself into guys. So I, you know, what the east always gets precedent in this country like television things everything as they west coast denizen. Let's do the west. I it's also the better. Wow. Okay. We'll do. We'll do the west. I so here here are the rules. I made you I didn't I didn't demand. Final picks. In fact, my picks are are not completely finalized. Yes. But when I do this I like to like to ignore the fan vote completely and just pay. I don't even know pick. The I don't even know apparently Luca weight or doing very well. And pick twelve the full twelve person roster for free conference and. I lamb basted the NBA last week for the continued fealty to both positions and conference. Like, why are we doing twelve and twelve it stood Iran? Can I rant about a couple of things, and we can get it out of the way? Yes complained anymore. All right. A right if we're not playing with versus let's just take the best reserves respective of conference, easy, even more than that. And it's something, you know, we talked about in a word voting anybody in the NBA watching basketball these days when we're talking about front court in backward. I mean, I think you and I've been talking for years about point wings bigs, right? Like, I the fact that there is very little distinguishing twos and threes on most teams this days. The it's just we need to get to a point where it's perimeters and Biggs or again point wing big or something because it's just there the modern Cain does not accommodate these classifications. And I just don't. Like, I don't get surely they know this like this is the product. It's actually a great thing talk about position basketball. This is one of the great they sell this brand of basketball as a reason to tune in. So why not have all star voting for that matter awards voting conform to this new era of of basketball? So so I am basted another word that do not know the origin of the NBA office for for all of this stuff. It sounds like a turtle. Yeah. Based Basting something I don't know how to base the Turkey. I'm really not very useful very hard for almost any household. I have to cook dinner tonight because my life is sick. I have to I have to my wife is six I had to do everything in the morning.

"Added by rosiere and then just tried to bring help over and now that went okay but those one thing that they changed out since they'd been kind of doing that for most of the series another interesting thing was with lebron james tristan thompson pick and rolls he'll they had been switching that with horford lebron in just brutally effective jasmine how much energy those drives up to take going right through in all defensive player and al horford for a couple of layups going to his left and so it looked like boston tried to switch up into more of an ice coverage there within but lebron's oh to throw a couple of pretty decent passes tristan thompson got dunk just going right down the lane in the fourth quarter off of that which looked like a mistake in that coverage i'm not sure whether horford horford was up way too high which meant like i think he thought they're switching and marcus morris didn't realize they're switching as they just gave up a dunk to tristan thompson right down the lane in the middle of the fourth quarter those those pretty ugly those a couple of the interesting strategies debt were tried but there wasn't anything else that i thought was too sexy strategically in this game no i don't know if this cancer strategic you mentioned earlier i thought boston working hard to make sure they got defensive rebounds was very important in this game just to keep cleveland off but also think about the cost of that played in terms of their transition offense i mean generally boston was keeping three guys back to try to get rebounds and they were succeeding at ending cleveland possessions but that made it harder for them to run yup maybe maybe that's part of it.

"Be to elevate his talent they need him to be but when you think about future big three al horford not going to be that guy needs to be jason tatum thirteen points for tatum yeah so and i know morris had that big night plus eight two by the way so when him on the floor they played better you know what al horford is on the floor last night he was minus six eleven and three but i will say in that final stretch of the game he had a couple of big rebound marriages and he did that against portland on super bowl sunday hit that game winning shot i i mean it's easy to sit here and pick on horford we could do he's hot and hold a lot of what he does other it goes through him you know at this point without kyrie irving in the playoffs for at least a first round matchup they need scoring that that's been there big issue rosiere sixteen last night monroe give you ten off the bench shane locking nine off the bench last night that's gonna be the issue for this team but with brad stevens says a coach guy can do a lot of wonders six one seven seven seven nine zero ninety five sammy in the hot tub what's up sherri my man joel great to hear your voice it's been a while long time you know how it is i'm doing good so i just i just got out of the gas station i was talking to this homeless guy so he was talking cell and he he thinks the celtics just fine he thinks that he's gonna hill right up if we make a playoff push that eastern conference files bring back hiree we like you said we only got him on your under contract and he's got the play player option use them all we can then right now we got blood terry rozier is gang affiliated he ain't scared of anyone read i believe so the celtics fans are out thanks every i hope that homeless guy is watching all the games and i'll be bought him a coffee now i hope he did actually yeah by the way that's what that's.

"Ninety five six one seven seven seven nine zero 985 in last night really was just the latest surprise for a team that so far through thirteen games has been uh by surprises your jaylen brown's improvement even though he's taken a step back from here over the last couple of weeks it's that has bagged player than he was last year he's made an improvement you look at carry irving in his start we all thought he was a top twenty player in the league but i think many people overlooked some of the things that he can do and how special he can be on the offense event and so you have kyrghiz start answering all the questions telling all a doubters to shut up you at al horford new swag how 'bout horford right little bit a swag from near lash name as aggressive as he should have been he wasn't asked confident as should have been but you're watching this year and it looks like a different guide far as personality i've loved alpher a long time since his days at florida i thought he was a very good player before gbah then i felt that last year for the people that criticised him it got borderline ridiculous how they went after that guy i've been a big horford finn i remain a big horford fan but even as one i will tell you that he is much better this year than he was last year and he has a different approach a different personality mcgann go back to that word swag i don't know if it's kyrghiz that that is helping him in that category we know kyrghiz has a lot of confidence we know he has a lot of swag so maybe that's helping hall for me that's bleeding into whole foods game a little bit there are a lot of surprises on this team this year um the start bragged my biggest surprise jason tatum how 'bout jason tatum last night against kids poise you know it's late in the fourth quarter giving him need they're giving him the rock saying you have a mismatch kid go oneonone take cody zeller score us points guinea pig buckets help us uh years old what he do offensively when you watch tatum tell me.

"Okay tiger a minor step back yet 25 shot forty percent from 3 ninety percent from the free throw line select the percentages how how many board uh or three point three point two here his averaged over six assist a game once in his career new and it was before lebron got there which is wild is it meant yeah well he could win a double did so i i don't know i like is kyrghiz hayward by our for to me was always like dangerous let me prove i can go sign a big free agent but guide that we need this win and i i've still like him on the team i'm not trying to get him out here by any means but one he trade for kyrghiz he was talking about the the dow it how it shifts the time line like i i think carrie fits more into his time line than isaiah ever did an hour our via al horford does not fat al horford zych maybe lebron gets hit by a truck and we find ourselves in in the finals like would he could help like play the five against like a dream on type player so i'm like your your good to her either way and i grew like you'd be pointer horford two years ago hayward newcomer by we creative retiree play yet i get after has to start somewhere so i agree it getting were who was it dipped one of like 'legitimacy right but at the time line has always been senate around these nets pex now those are gone one was for the the the the last one was replaced by a lakers slash potentially kings pick.
