Fresh update on "hoodie" discussed on Recorded Future - Inside Threat Intelligence for Cyber Security

"5 years. This time, it's a different iconic figure, each week. Make it from WBE Z Chicago. Find it wherever you get your podcasts. The story that brought violence as a service into the spotlight was the arrest of a 21 year old in New Jersey back in August. His name is Patrick mcgovern Allen. And he was pretty well known in sim swapping circles. His alias was tongue, as in inside your mouth. And up until recently, he was living with his grandparents in egg harbor township, New Jersey. He worked at a local restaurant called a touch of Italy. That is, until the FBI arrested him this summer, accusing him of taking part in some violence as a service operations. Patrick's arrest was first reported in krebs on security. And he appears to be one of the first people to be arrested for this kind of score settling cyber meets real world crime. Turns out, he was good friends with this guy. I'm John Gotti. Not that John Gotti. It's like my alias. Nobody knows like my real name, obviously, so I'm not going to bring that out there, but John Gotti is a fellow sim swapper, and he's the co owner of a group that's dedicated to bricking and other violence for hire. Did you know Patrick mcgovern Allen? His name was tongue. I did, I do, I do, I do. That's my boy. Patrick was a member of a sim swapping group gaudy founded called FN M. God he showed us a screenshot of its ownership page to prove that he really was who he said he was. Did you know him only virtually or did you know him know him? It is possible that we've encountered each other two or three times IRL. And what was he like? There's chill, dude. I don't really know how to explain the guy. He was a bit off, but he was chill dude. He was honorable. Meaning, if he said he was going to do something he did it. Yeah. But sim swappers we talked to told us Patrick was a little bit reckless. Like the time two years ago that he drove his Lexus into a building. He did drive a car into a house. He did, he did. It is what it is. Some people do things sometimes. You don't mean to, you know? Accents happen. I mean, he crashed the car into a building for no reason. Just because he felt like it, so this is a sim swapper who goes by the name fade. He knew Patrick too. Well, I knew him for a while. You weren't like super close or whatever but I knew him. He had like a few brain cells missing, but that's about it. Fade told us Patrick was so reckless. He wasn't surprised when the FBI rolled up on him back in August. He said everyone in the community was expecting him to get arrested. It's like a family everyone knows what's going on. Patrick is suspected of taking part in two separate violence as a service jobs in Pennsylvania. A firebombing, and then a shooting a few weeks later. I mean, everyone or everyone or Patrick's Friends knew he was going to get a rest day Patrick knew himself he was going to get arrested. I mean, you know, there weren't no secret, but Patrick didn't have much choice. The criminal complaint against Patrick made clear that his operational security wasn't top notch. For one thing, he put the proof videos of the shooting on both Discord, a kind of messaging platform for gamers, and on telegram, an encrypted communications app. This is one of the videos he posted. It looks like there's two males wearing all black, face masks. This is detective David Hale. He's with the criminal investigations unit in the west town east goshen police department, and he's one of the investigators in the case, and this is him describing a proof video Patrick is allegedly linked to. An individual flashes a handgun, a semi-automatic pistol, he walks up to the front window. He's probably about 20 feet away from the window and then unloads 8 second shots within a second or two. You ready? Just an active. And they shout something. See if you can make out what they say. Just an actor was here. They're saying Justin active was here. Justin or active is another sim swapper in the community. And we talked to him by text, and he's a Patrick was targeting him. In the criminal complaint against Patrick, the FBI said the shooter was wearing an air Jordan hoodie, a dark balaclava, and semi rimless glasses. Patrick, the FBI says in the complaint, wears dark semi rimmed glasses, just like the guy in the video. The firebombing, which had happened a few weeks earlier, wasn't exactly a stealth operation either. The video shows two suspects in front of this house, and one is wearing a red and black lumberjack shirt. The camera focuses on a bottle of mad dog 2020 grape wine. It's stuffed with a cloth fuse, and they're

Rebel Wilson Is in Hot Water for 'Fatphobic' Clothing Line

"Rebel Wilson is in hot water. But she brought along herself. Memor rebel did once very overweight actress, the Brit always had these funny lines and pitch perfect, really never me laugh once. Just, I looked at him, she was like awkward to me. I never sounded funny. So you know she started the clothing line, but now that she has a new mom, a new baby, she's launched a clothing line with her partner to design it Ramona, a groomer, it's a lounge raft fashion brand called the R and R club, but here's where things get bad. The first collection of R and R club, they just have white hoodies and matching white sweatpants so far. But here's where it gets rude. The sizes go from extra small to small to medium to large. Not what you'd think a former fatty would do. It's pretty rude. And now her fat fans are coming at her. So there's this TikToker that calls herself fat positive, destiny N, she put up a video calling out Rebel Wilson. She said the irony of rebel dropping a clothing one that wouldn't have even been able to shop and wear a few years ago. I don't understand how someone who is plus size for the majority of their career and the majority of their life. Someone who knows how hard it is to be fat, to shop for clothing and actually find it in your size, I don't understand how someone with that background. That knowledge can release a brand that only goes up to size large. This gives a lot of truth to some of these thoughts, the most fat phobic and abusive people are former fat people. They really are.

Caller: From Supporting Obama to Now Supporting Trump

"Hearing you guys. So yep, I have even leaned further. I'm going to be honest. I voted for Obama because I had the first time because I wanted that hope and change and I saw the collapse and what they did and what he did and my point was that those people that were scaling the walls of the capital in black hoodies and backpack. They just didn't look like Trump voters to me. There was some moth there a little bit for me. But I voted for Trump last time and I will, again, if he runs or any other Republican across the board, we got to get these folks out. Jim, I'm curious, how did that work going from an Obama supporter to becoming a Trump supporter? What was the big issue for you? Well, I voted for him most of my wife's family with their very liberal, I didn't I was upset with some of the warmongering that was going on in the bush years and Cheney and all that stuff. So I got a little tired of that and Obama is a finesse. You can make you believe him. And I did believe him. And I said, all right, I'm not racist. I have no problem with this guy. I'll give him a shot, but then it completely I saw over the course of the first four years and then the second time around, I voted for Romney, even though it was. That was just so awful. I may as well vote for the Democrat. All right.

Did You Know John Fetterman Is the Chairman of State Board of Pardons?

"John Solomon's just the news had a big article about the Democrat candidates who are now nervously and frantically flip flopping on all of their radical positions, trying to walk back how radical they are in time for the midterm election in 47 days. This race in Pennsylvania, while what a doozy, this John fetterman, and Doctor Oz, that race, fetterman, I love the fact that you know that John fetterman, the guy with the hoodie and the tattoos, he's the lieutenant governor, you knew that, right? Did you know he's chairman of the state's board of pardons? No wonder Philly is in so much trouble. No wonder they're struggling in Pittsburgh with crime. Fetterman's letting them all out. How'd you like him to be the director of the state's board of pardons? Does he wear his hoodie? At a parole hearing? Talk about a star chamber from hell. John Federer, yeah, go. You killed, you slaughtered 9 people and you buried him in the backyard. Be free. You were misunderstood as a child. Social justice reform.

John Fetterman Is Straight Out of Democrat Central Casting

"More you learn about John fetterman, his health issues aside of which we will not trivialize or make fun of, the more you realize that this guy is as if a younger Jeff Bridges or John Goodman were to just kind of pop out of Hollywood, parachute into rural Pennsylvania, become a mayor of a very small city, not even do your mayoral duties there, act as if you're some sort of working class blue collar guy, even though you went to Harvard and were supported by your parents financially into your mid 40s. And then have the tattoos and the hoodie and the shorts and have this entire aesthetic that you're a man of the Pennsylvania people. Now, I'll be very honest. I fell for it. I didn't fall for it as if I was like some sort of fetterman fan. But a couple months ago when I saw Oz running against federman, I went to fetterman's website and I was doing a couple things at once. I said, oh, wow, you know, he looks like a steel worker. It can be a tough Democrat to fight. Okay. And obviously, you know, kind of time has passed and things have come out. He's a total fraud. He's a worked on a steel mill. He's not a Carpenter. He's not a welder. He's not a truck driver. He looks like one. It is an aesthetic hoodwink operation, where if we look like it and we wear the hoodie and we wear the shorts and you have the kind of tattoos and you have shave your head with the long beard, you can kind of fool people as if you're one of them. This is a big test happening in Pennsylvania. Big test. Can they run? Again, health issues aside. That's a separate question, but a very important one. But the deeper question that I find to be interesting is the question of Democrat central casting.

Dr. Oz's Team Reacts to Fetterman Struggling Through a 5-Minute Speech

"Cousin fester, who's in a hoodie and survived a stroke. Could barely get through a 5 minute speech yesterday? Yesterday's baker. Oh, nothing. I'm listening. So he couldn't get through the speech, the poor guy is like, he's not there. His brain was clearly damaged by the stroke. And we're not mocking the poor guy. But anyway, Doctor Oz's campaign did. And they're very upset about this. So the Oz campaign senior communications adviser, her name is Rachel Tripp. And she said, if John fetterman had ever eaten a vegetable in his life, then maybe he would not have had a major stroke and would not be in the position of having to lie about it constantly. It's a fair point. I mean, have you seen the guy this, I mean, he's got the hoodie on, always wearing the cargo pants, shorts. He's got these little chicken legs, and he's a big guy. And clearly he is not well. But the Democrats don't care, they seem to think that they can run a stroke victim for the U.S. Senate and right now he's ahead of Doctor Oz.

Rep. Reschenthaler Predicts Dr. Oz Will Win in Pennsylvania

"What has happened in Pennsylvania for the Senate. Dear lord, this is your state. I understand that president Trump is friends with Doctor Oz and I get it and I realize he's a dear friend of Trump and he's supported Trump. Was there really no better candidate than Doctor Oz? I'm not saying he's a bad guy. I'm just saying he's got the name recognition, which is great. But he's somehow wrestling with fetterman. He should be Oz should be up by 10,000 points. I don't understand it. What are you doing? Two great points. Oz was the only one in that race that could have gone toe to toe with betterment. And here's why. I've been saying the betterment's totally underrated. He has a star power around Pennsylvania. Unites these burning Bros with working class voters who wrongfully think that he's one of them because they see him tatted off with a beard wearing a hoodie riding a Harley and they just assume that he shares our values. He does not. So to overcome that fundraising ability to overcome that celebrity, we really needed Doctor Oz, any other candidate we would have put forward would have been even further behind in the polls. And it's a little bit of revisionary history to go back and say we should have picked another candidate because all this is the only guy that can keep better men. I think that ultimately Oz wins this race by a slim margin. Remember tuni only won by one or two points each time he won that Senate race. This Pennsylvania after all. And he's going to do it by exposing the settlement hypocrisy. This is a guy that wants to release one third of all prisoners in Pennsylvania. This is a guy that wants to have the Green New Deal and totally eviscerate the natural gas economy. We have particularly around Pittsburgh and western Pennsylvania. And don't forget that he wants to eliminate private health insurance. So this guy's way too radical, Pennsylvania I'm sorry, Mary. No, no, no, I

"This is amazing to me And that so many people in litigation they couldn't even get courts to hear the cases that they were trying to bring As if you have to prove the case before you can even have the court trial It's an amazing thing how the whole system shut down Is it not It's absolutely amazing Now I do think that we learn from the rittenhouse case didn't we that the kids life was saved by the video I mean I would listen to people testify all those guys weren't chasing rittenhouse They were just running in the same direction but then when you look at the video they're like nah they were actually chasing him And the same thing here because you'll get all kinds of clever liberal explanations like well maybe these organizations just went door to door and collected honest votes And maybe they were delivered in the wrong way but no once you actually watch this operation with your own eyes you'll see a guy in a hoodie He parks in the middle of the street at three 27 a.m. he comes running up to the Dropbox He looks at the left looks at the right He's wearing gloves Why gloves Because he doesn't want to leave his fingerprints on the ballots because it was an arrest in Arizona in which vote these ballot stuffers were busted And that's because they left fingerprints on the ballots So the moment that happens you start seeing the mules now wearing gloves And they also by the way take photos Now they don't take photos of themselves It's not a selfie like I voted They're taking photos of them of themselves stuffing the ballot box And the reason for it is that that's how they get paid They have to prove that they actually were there but they actually dumped the ballots And so this is a coordinated operation This could not have developed somehow simulate a spontaneously This is organized fraud conducted by the left involving left wing organizations hiring and key for types that's actually what the population of the mules is made of and funded by very powerful forces in the Democratic Party

"You as a young man in college now What kind of words of wisdom do you have I've been out of college a long time Daniel it's been nearly 30 years The campus was different when I was there The campus is now a becoming indoctrination factory What advice do you have I mean my daughter is 18 She's going to college to come in this summer How do you deal with it How do you show the fortitude to do and show the guts and stand up to these leftists that you guys did Well you know I'm glad you asked that question I grew up in Southern California I went to public school for 12 years This is not a foreign environment to me I have for a long time been on the opposite side of the political spectrum that my peers are on I have learned to just kind of stand up for what I believe in and if you're ashamed of view that you have then you probably ought to change it But if you're not ashamed then you should speak your mind and that you should stand up for what you believe in So I of course face backlash all the time The Chicago fingers actually coming out with merch So we're getting hoodies and stuff like that And we're wearing them around campus People give us dirty looks all the time 'cause they don't like what we have to say They don't share our values But at the end of the day it doesn't matter because fighting for truth fighting to push what's right is way more fulfilling than fitting in ever will be So I can tell you from a young age I was in contrast to the mainstream narrative of the places and the institutions that I was a part of But I have just learned to own it and to you have to be articulate right You have to know what you're talking about It can't just be an inkling You have to really sort of educate yourself But I encourage any young person like your daughter or any young person like me from years past to just keep fighting even if you are the only person at your whole institution at your whole high school like I was keep fighting and fight the good fight and do not let up to the pressure to the social extremes You have to keep doing it

"High schools colleges and that main reason is because we want to get into the heads of the youth. And as they grow, you know, graduate and become professionals in the space years down the road, they'll have this name brand in their head. And so we want to target high schools. We've done a ton of high schools, jerseys, so like Nike, you've seen Nike swoosh on a NFL teams, Jersey or college teams, Jersey. And we figured, okay, let's be that. So we'll design we'll create amazing designs and that's one of the huge differentiators. I think that we stand in this space because there's other Jersey companies and I wouldn't call us a Jersey company, but we do that. We do a lot of it. And we create the best designs. That's the thing is we want epic designs and where kids in high school can feel like a pro, you know? And we have now we have a lot of colleges, high schools and proteins. The latest protein we signed is ghost gaming, really excited about that. Wow. And so ghost gaming, we do all our merchandise. But another kind of an odd angle to skulls is me and my background being ecommerce and web site design development bringing that to these partners. So if you go to ghost gaming dot com or go scamming GG, then it will take you to their site, which is fully managed hosted by us, so we did the website design. We did, and it's all ecommerce. It's a fully commerce platform. So all of the merchandise is in there. So we take it from the front end. Shopping cart where people can do the purchasing of the merchandise. "It helps others to find the podcast, whether it's on Apple and Spotify, wherever you get your podcasts or if you watch us on video. Any kind of review rating like subscribe, follow you name it is appreciated. Jimmy, how's it going? How are you doing this week? Really excited this week, Paul. Happy to be here as always taking my first work vacation and probably three years this weekend. Going to Chicago where it's currently snowing and going to watch a Chicago Bears football game. So I'm excited for that. Your first week vacation and you're doing it on my time. Like what's going on here? You waited to be working for me to take your first vacation in years. But the flight right after I signed the contract. This is not a good look to me. It's really not a good look. This feels like slacking. I don't know what's going on here. We'll be happy. I'm not going to miss any of the Wednesday recordings. So they'll be happy for that. And that's really what matters. The question is are you bringing a gaming laptop? Or is this not that kind of weekend? So I actually reached at the bottom bottom of my lowest darkest drawer and found my Nintendo Switch, a dusted it off, it checked, I checked the integrity of it. It seems to be okay, updated the software, downloaded PGA two K 21 downloaded Star Wars nights in the old republic where you mastered downloaded Mario party. And I think I should be I'm going to give it a shot. It's been a very odd selection of games. First of all, second of all, why was your switch down at the bottom of your drawer? Because I just didn't once I went full time into PC gaming. I didn't really enjoy it as much. I feel like I was do mobile gaming. Well, two K 21 didn't come out or recently came out some I'm really interested in playing that. I love those golf games. It's something about I don't know, just driving it 300 yards when I can't do that in real life. I got those of you watching at my clubs in the back. I can't remember. Because there's like, there's nothing that's the same as actual golf, right? Clicking a meter when it hits like a certain point. I'm not sure. It's not really simulation, right? Let's be honest. It's less about playing golf and more about unlocking really cool cleats and gloves and the accessories for my avatar. Are there cosmetics? Everything you can think of. I only hope that I can then pull him into the metaverse and use him. I don't want to digital representation. I just feel like it doesn't translate. Part of golf is the environmental. I feel like that's the hardest golf will be the last sim game to get sort of ultra realistic, I feel like, right? Because you need the great outdoor. Maybe not. Maybe, and they have these great setups for them going to in Chicago has a top golf digital room like a suite with one of those things that you hit into the wall. You see at those big arcade centers, I don't know. I feel like in top golf has dabbled in eSports, right? There's interest there. Yeah, it's a good point. It's a good point. I still don't know bringing the switch is the way to go. "hoodie" Discussed on The Slowdown

"It seemed to happen all at once. When my older brother began to lengthen, grow into himself, become more of a man than a boy, or rather, somewhere between those two worlds. I remember thinking about how all the boys around his age changed. Suddenly they were no longer the outwardly sweet boys who played soccer and walked down to the market for candy bars. They were a little tougher, a little more withdrawn. And I didn't like it. Three years younger than him, I wanted my brother to stay kind and goofy and willing to pal around with me. But age brought him into a new world of masculinity that I was ousted from. Suddenly he wasn't as quick to laugh. He was more serious and sullen. It wasn't just how he seemed to be changing away from me a natural part of growing up, but how others saw him. That was the scary part. Suddenly, he was a teenager, and because of that, other men treated him, like he was no longer a boy at all. I remember when the Sonoma creek overflowed and E snappy street was flooded. My brother was on his skateboard, seeing what was going on, who needed sandbags if he could help. But a local cop yelled at him to get off the sidewalk and go home and scared him through and through. Maybe it was out of caution or protection. I wasn't there. I was too young. But what I remember is that even my parents were mad with the officer, and that my brother was 13 and shaken up. In a country that has seen so much police violence directed towards young black men. I can think back on this memory now and know how lucky we were. I've never forgotten it. It felt like I never wanted my brother to become a man. Because what then? In today's poem, we see a mother watching her black teenage son. He's not a boy anymore, not quite a man. And she can't imagine anyone ever seeing him as a threat. In a world where a black teenager can be in danger by simply walking down the street, this mother begins to weave a spell for protection, a spell for his safety. Hoodie, by January gill, O'Neill. A gray hoodie will not protect my son. From rain, from the New England cold. I see the partial eclipse of his face as his head sinks into the half dark and shades his eyes. Even in our quiet suburb with its unlocked doors, I fear for his safety. The darkest child on our street in the empire of blocks. Sometimes I don't know who he is anymore. Traveling the back roads between boy and man. He strides a deep stride, pounds, a basketball into wit, pavement. Will he take his shot or is he waiting for the open mouthed orange rim to take a chance on him? I sing his name to the night, ask for safe passage from this borrowed body into the next, and wonder who could mistake him for anything, but good. The slowdown is a production of American public media in.

I i should i love culture but i don't listen to any podcast listened to the podcast mondo for Funhouse now he's funhouse. Yeah but he has that podcast and they do a lot of stuff with a good morning from hell. Thanks man yeah. She's what a what a perfect was actually episode with them. Really really yeah. It's fascinating through a different color each week and like hearing how it started and like what happened with the research that like they do is awesome here for last laugh which is coming in september. He played baseball. And we're talking about like his method and what he does or whatever. I just kind of curious about what it is. That goes into that podcast. We don't have like a lot of research heavy stuff blackbox down in reading. And that's about it. So i was wondering what kind of like what's the method and all this stuff and he was always getting deep on like certain ones where i was like contacting like private investigators who were like going through colts. That happened at the time. And i had like my own theories on this under mike. Well you're like whoa. You're like deep deep deep deep deep school or something but it that is his like. That's his avenue right like that's his like super interested in that stuff. Does the research knows the stuff like co- podcast is. Yeah it at top. I got to give it up to to those folks to that is you're putting yourself in kind of It's it can be a dangerous dangerous situation. Hasn't people who get very angry injury like potentially violent or or mondo has said that Joined the kkk. it one of their episodes. Yeah like there. People still around from heaven's gate. Oh yeah. I think you and i talked about this. We were like there. Are people still around for heaven's gate like the losers the people who were late to the party like i'm gonna i'm stuck in traffic on the content yet and i can't get a suicide house shit. Heaven's gate was a cult in san diego. Oh i thought it was in los angeles baby. It was in san diego and not they. I remember coming home from a desert weekend with my parents and turning on the news and then seeing the shoes sticking out of the blankets and going. Here's a bunch of dead bodies. There are people who did not die with that but are like unix and like all body in indoor still bought in so what. I actually don't know anything about having gate but what what happened to they were due to. The the idea was the hale. Bopp comet was passing past every seven hundred twenty years or whatever it is share and in order that is like god's vessel and that in order to ascend they had to follow the rules then essentially drink the kool aid die and then they would ascend to help comet and get taken away to their necks. Plane watch a lot of heaven's gate videos they're so fascinating to me. I feel like they're like incredible. There are people who didn't do it but who were like in the coat and so they're waiting for like well. This is not the last life for me. I will come back and then that will be the time that i can ascend to the next time that the hill bopp comet comes back around seven hundred. Yeah exactly and it's like that's fucking awesome. So did the people in the house who died. They actually drank something. I think that's what it was. I don't remember what they did. I drink something and then like they owns down the end. It was flavored. Yes it's very active. And i'm on grown up applesauce end so it was the thing that i remember is that they were all like these bunk beds and they had like the ninety s and stopped making those nike. So you could go buy them. If you're like a shoe guy the pegasus to or whatever they were by that specific superintendent. The guy's name was marshall applewhite. Meet them eat applesauce. It's a little on the nose don't you. I think we wash down involving lindsey. Not the kind of thing i think lindsay jones was telling me that their grandma had like dated the guy like years and years ago. That like had run that cole. And it's like that's fucking incredible of the wikipedia. List heaven's gate as being defunct. Yeah well you know still thinks going wrong hiatus. Yeah the real numbers. Forty one pre nine hundred ninety seven to post nineteen ninety-seven beautiful still going strong. Wow guys doing anything. So i was eleven when that happened. Wow man that's like that's like prime age to like see those the the the news footage of nikes burned in fascinated by this cult. Yeah for me. When i was eleven. Was the eighty nine earthquake. Eighty take that giants versus a. Yeah i think a lot of they went and they just went wide to the stadium and everyone went. The fuck is going on and then they went. There's big earthquake. Cool to the episode of the podcast. That i was on. They talked about this cult. Called love has won has one as one w. o. n. Which is funny because the entire time they were saying on the pockets. I thought they were doing love and love is one off and the story about that. Obviously there's a lot to it but one of the people who was like called mother. God like the leader of the cult. Essentially one of the leaders the colts she was supposed to be like ascending or something of that nature and they were like telling her that like she shouldn't be eating and all that stuff and like kind of like let let herself do that. They found her body in a fireplace. That's that colt college. All that was a good one like completely emaciated. All this stuff and it's just like this is fascinating like a group thing that goes in a direction where you go. Do we get this deep. What point does that woman be like. I don't i don't maybe coaches have like a sandwich. I actually want apple plea. This isn't great. I actually probably not good enough for christian bale before.

Having religious beliefs or practices regarded by others strangers sinister. So the first one is broad. Yes don't remember. I was like twelve at the time. I don't remember the stuff at all. The other day is on. Rtx go back and watch it but he was talking about. How like colts essentially are in abusive relationship on a wide scale on a macro. Yes it instead of just like these two people. It's this one person and then like a like a wide swath of people thurmond grape juice. I was playing with it. come on. don't take this stuff and it's a good way to put it. Makes a lot of it was like. Oh that's really what that's by and large. That's really what it comes down to. It's so interesting when you see stuff like netflix's documentaries and all this stuff about like in how did it get so out of control and it's not like anyone big event happened. It's sort of like yeah. It started with like us in like this one guy. There were five people and then all of a sudden they're twelve people and then there were twenty six people and then they're one hundred and fifty people and then we were all in this compound and then it just sort of leg so little by little do this thing because i think that it's like death of a thousand cuts right. It's just sort of like you don't realize how it really works until it's gotten to a point where you go with the. How did we fuck in get. This uh leaner is good. The leader is great. Yeah well as not no. No no no no none a leader leader. The which i mean leader doesn't work when you eat a whole month's supply mind eight my brain they like you just said the. Like i don't know if you've ever been a bad relationship and you can be in one of those very just and that's just like one of the prisoners where it's like. Oh yeah this is a bad situation that like even like even even if we know but like oh. This is not a good situation for me. This is really bad. It's still incredibly difficult to extricate yourself from that situation to take take that that same kind of pressure on the micro and expand that to like. Oh now i'm like part of this group and there's like pressure from all directions to stay a part of this like even if you like having doubts there is social pressure to like. There's also assure like you become incentivized like there's a and the the more you behave in the more you follow the rules the higher up you go that perceived power and the whole sunk fallacy as well like all that stuff plays into it when you're sort of hunting achievements play never heard of it. "Kid. 'cause i nine quakes and i'm like any time now f but you kind of learn. The way that stuff is built now is meant to really do. Oh and then it stays up. If you go up to the sears tower formerly sears tower now the willis tower in chicago you go up to like observation. I think you could do this with all tall buildings but if you just stand there and close your eyes you feel the building move in the wind and there is nothing scarier the elevator back down meeting. I'm out of here. give me down. The most is a. It's a miracle of science but also so unbelievably unnerving to feel the building. You're in on the top floor of a half a mile above the earth. Just like sway ever so slightly. Ooh chicago chicago twice. Maybe see too. Yeah yeah yeah. As i mentioned for like a visit one time. It's a cool city. It's nice like it a lot signs have pictures of guns that say like. Don't bring guns in here. That's scary but everything else very cool. Chicago is my favorite city in america. It's there for like five months. I recorded and with there. It was great. I lived in a house and john mentioned in evanston friend of mine had and we like turn the whole first floor and a recording studio with wonderful time but yeah i just like fell in love with this. It's amazing it has all the stuff. A big city has new york. But it's much more laid-back and the public transit. It's everything just goes in that big circle like loop and it's it's so having strange problem now like with climate change going on with like lake michigan seeping under the city and creating foundational and structural weaknesses. On to michigan the willis towers leaving swing a little more than than it used to think that ought not to bring up a obviously very terrible thing that happened but in miami yet with the building collapsed. You think a lot of cities and states are going to be re evaluating the construction of a lot of buildings like doing like safety checks on tall structures. Because i would like to see yes new rate. I would like to think that you would like to think that would be wonderful but what happened in the eighties is that everyone did all the cocaine city government and built a ton of shit for as cheap as they possibly and like. Oh and for some reason. A lot of that happened in miami. Who like he is on. I mean she's gonna be she'll break it down. Now there'd be no but that's like nationwide. That just didn't happen there. That's like across the entire country. People were like everything's boom and we're making tons of money but this will never end. This will never end this good times. Never ending build build build cheaper faster and yeah seems like the birds coming home to roost. At least here in austin you might be saved because nothing got built. Yeah i was gonna say built here until ten. I mean nothing was bill here until two thousand ten city was good. It's funny people always talk about when old austin dying shitty sucks. What do you want austin died. Well before anybody who lives here actually lived here. We did talk with your nineteen ninety-four bats when it turned out the early nineties before jackie's fifth-generation austin i v you you in jeff told me about when you guys would go to downtown six street and go to casino camino and park right out of casino el camino because there was nothing else be like roll up and get a bird. You had to park far enough away that we have to cross one. St we were annoyed with trinity to get the casino. Be like oh my god. We have to park a mile away lewis and clark. I don't know. I tell you the story about chris when he was coming to drink with us the other week so i sent out a message to people about where we are going to drink for my brothers. I put the name. Oh bar i put a classic christoph address of the bar. You're gonna go to time. You're going to be there. Everything like that indulge in the email. It's like an hour and a half into the night. I knew some people were going to be late. I get a message from chris. Did y'all move later. fuck. I went to the wrong pearl awesome you. I think you double bolted east. he did. Yeah so there's a bar lustre pearl. There's multiple locations. How many linked. Three austin drinks to chris have at the other mike unsure like well. My favorite part is when he told me that he was like. I even got like a good parking spot. It was just a ten minute. Walk away from it. And i was like how good parking spot. It's also i know about you guys going to a play on all like double check okay but this is chris. This is chris. It was just like the most. Chris is the guy who y'all knew. We hung out one time because he texted me and he went. Hey i was supposed to be going to a bar where it was a crazy hat birthday party but i'm a week early. Do you want to hang out. And so then. He shows that he showed up to my house with big cowboy hat and then we went to a bar and he had a big cowboy hat he wore. It could've taken it off. Gus very aware he already committed to the crazy how he was your real early. "Safe. What's king that more. That way every the news so you could tell me what the safest places to figure that out. It probably be like utah or like new mexico mexico. I don't really hear about a lot of natural things to get really anything over. There is hot. Yeah quakes probably like. I don't even know if tectonic plates per hour away from the plate. I'm trying to think like middle the country but like west of tornado alley. Yeah but not so many trees that it's a tinderbox right. That's what we're gonna be in san diego. That's going to be the next thing because it's like people are like. Oh i'm worried about earthquakes. It's like you should be worrying about wildfires. You should be worried about quakes. We'll take care of so earthquake. Being earthquake is nothing. It just goes well until it's not right right. Nineteen eighty nine and nineteen one like it because then it goes but most of the time it just goes and then you check twitter and everyone in la goes was that an earthquake. And then that's how you play a little game here turn. let's play a game. I'm not enter. Let's play a game called. What's the state with the least natural disasters. And what's the state with the most natural. And i've got the answer right here at home. His name's greg. I'm pulling up a picture of the map. Visualize i'm not looking up the answer to i. Do we want to go least your most. I least natural disaster. That's how we started. I think that iowa has the least natural disasters interesting interesting. I guess i'm gonna do see i to go further. I'm gonna actually go new mexico. Okay because you're that's fine. It's well. I wouldn't say i was gonna say colorado but i know that colorado's wildfires. Yeah i don't hear about them a lot in new mexico but then also like i'm going to say oklahoma. But they are a tornado mess. I'm going to stay away from. I'm gonna say new mexico. I'm going to say wyoming the least right and gus released only one that you said that was on the list here. The top ones is colorado. Wow one was actually. The least number of natural disasters is michigan. Why michigan state with at least natural disasters with a minor earthquake tornado hurricanes hurricanes these natural disaster. That happened there have usually been less intense than they might be in other styles that they would get like like cold national disaster stuff. Yeah it might be used to that. Exactly they've got infrastructure to deal with super super cold also like because industry pull up stakes out of michigan's like i'm you know in the sixties and seventies you can get a like beautiful mid-century home there for like two hundred thousand dollars just like a gorgeous. Yeah but then. You have to live in michigan. Ann arbor my friend of mine lives in ann arbor. It's gorge it's dr howard just from you could you could drive high dry. Well it'd be a little further drive. New york is close to where i live. I just don't think i'll ever. I mean what's what am i going to do in michigan michigan michigan michigan. Yeah let's see. Let's drive the face. Jim van to get ahead of the game because when the world really starts yes michigan's going to be the spot. Yeah let's lose the most natural disaster like what are your segments. The most most what state has the most natural disasters. You don't even have to be right. You can just say a state and then you win your gate my game i would say florida. I also think it's florida. I'm gonna say california see here. Let me scroll down is on the list. California is not the state tops. The list with the most natural disasters is texas as anyway. My third yeah. Frequent floods hurricanes tornadoes and wildfires. Why whether the earth quakes well number one. We're number one a close runner up on the list. Actually at least we don't have sustainable electricity. Get us through. I though making sure that trans kids can't place. We have priorities. Democrats just left iran. Well the only thing we can do is go somewhere else now. Bravo the democrats. They had to they had really. Why is the power situation. Not like a bigger priority for people. This is gonna shock you in the and almost like they had the resources to leave and go somewhere else. Senator of ours speaking of corruption. Sorry i believe his daughters would do this. Why do they force him at knifepoint to get on a plane. Get on. The plane takes to cancun old routines but they didn't get political. This absolutely receive podcasts. Brought to you by stamps. Dot com summers. Here everything's slowly starting opened up again and it's time to enjoy those little things in life going to the movies. Maybe taking a trip go into the post.

"The good old days. No you know. Exactly what i was gonna say i was gonna say eric. The national like evolution might actually like of coopting symbolic actual symbols. Might actually take care of this for you. Because i feel like a the unsavory part of this country got hold of the american flag and now it's gone even further to where now it's like. Oh no now it's like a punisher skull and white flag with a blue line on it like now. It's gone all that way. You might be able to get back. Just in the natural course. it's gonna get defaced. It just like become this leak. Awful copy of a copy of a copy of a copy exit enough and then it can be hours again exactly so that might happen. We'll see probably not my lifetime. We'll see eventually maybe your kids lifetime. Earth grandkids live with the canadian flag. At all like you feel like. I'm sure that you get great but like like not even just like that's the flag the country i was born and i have it on a shirt. You live stream last week or the week before in jio gisar. Yes we did the that was it was. It was weird like a website. You to and we were playing four of us where it's like it just drops you on a spot in google maps and you have to figure out the initials you a map of the globe. And you're like where in the world are you and you have to put a pin down in the closer. You are the more points you get. But we had a few rounds in canada and it was weird every now and then you'd be like looking at like. Oh there's a canadian flag okay. Yeah we're definitely. We're definitely in canada. Felt like you don't see when you're in canada. You don't see the canadian flag as often as you see the american flag when you're in the united states. Oh yeah. I love against her. Because i would say about forty percent of the time. It's somewhere in the middle east. It's like every time i play. It's like okay this is like jordan. I think it's import- it's like and i'm like searching around it's like okay. That sign isn't a language. I don't know what it is and it's also like a subway like fresh. Okay where the fuck could. I possibly be ball which much of the foot lungs. Yeah so bad at that game though because like we're doing another one where it was just the us and so it would drop you a new place. Okay you got some trees that are turning colors so probably on the east coast somewhere. And i'm like okay. We have a kind of colonial looking house. We have a street that says main unlike this could be a thousand different places in the united states. I don't know anybody is good at that game. It's really look at one. Point we were in. Japan are really that japan. Yeah it was like seems pretty flat here. I don't see any mountains. Lots of really big farmland. I'm gonna guess we're in hokkaido. I think there might be watering this. I'm going to guess we're here. And it was like five miles away. Oh holy shit. That's crazy totally right. You give me a downtown looking place. Okay probably in tokyo everything else. I'm like buddha japan japan. I don't know any place. North of japan. One of my favorite things about that game two is just learning how it'll drop you somewhere and just like learn. How much of the earth is nothing. There's just like you're just scrolling jumping ahead down the road on this google map like it is miles and miles and miles of just like basically grassland chick the left and right as far as the fuck it i can see for miles and miles of jeez louise and like i always think about like and then some schmos built roads here like i like well on ninety five miles from the nearest thing even like you could call it like a bathroom right and i'm just like people out there. I guess we'll just like build a road there. We also at one point. We dropped in canada. Like one of those like really far north products or the land stops being land. And it's mostly like. Oh yeah yeah. He's like water land and it's like why there's nothing because i want. None of it was a middle and a road. I love your sense of humor. It's crazy being for southern california. You just kinda go northeast until it becomes desert and then there's nothing nothing nothing you're in the middle of like valleys and then there's a house and you go witness protection. There's no way out of character. Snook yellow noodles and catch up. It's just that like. I don't understand how you don't live along the coast of the nation and you just pick the middle the middle the middle in the middle here. Yeah it's terrible is all house in the middle. Yeah i know it's terrible. There's there's something bad about living every place right like there's places that are more prone to like hurricanes and tornadoes. There's more places that are like too cold or someplace that had like severe earthquakes. what's safe. What's king that more. That way every the news so you could tell me what the safest places to figure that out. It probably be like utah or like new mexico mexico. I don't really hear about a lot of natural things to get really anything over. There is hot..

"One of my one of my neighbors had a party this past weekend. Just put it into perspective. What an introvert i am. It was a party. I could see it from my window like if i look like there was a party right there and i still wasn't going to go to it. Says actual habitat of peeking out blah when he breaks his leg. Kind of energy showing. That was really not going. We're having a big party. Because they wanted to make up for every part of the admist over the last year right every holiday that they'd missed. Sounds like that's fine. Whatever like. I'm glad. The invited me. But i really don't wanna go wanna stay in my house and stare at them then. After an hour of after their party started a petting zoo showed up with like a pony. Kellyanne the whole nine yards like well. I have to go up planning on. It showed up like all right. I'm going to go to this part. You gotta ride this small ass horse. And i wanted to put my dog on. Does it all put him on the pony. F- afraid oswald was gonna freak out. I didn't i didn't end up. Honey why are you letting pants on. Well there's a donkey choice front for donkey. Higher percents at the carnival that we threw for one hundred. We're not there for that okay. Because we had a petting zoo for that. There's a kangaroo and everything was a kangaroo the damn diaper the i don't know if we i'm sure we've told the story before how we had. The people from the petting zoo. Come in because as we were starting to set up a guy comes in just holding a baby kangaroo. There's nothing like a rifle holding the this. He literally throws the baby came into the room and leaves. And we're going to go live. Grenade we d- doors are open to the outside and so we're like playing this weird like keeping keeping out once it gets out the simpsons episode where they go to australia. Got cold and chas was god all time. Classic australia's australian stamp thirty years of electricity. I i went to a film festival in adelaide. I think back in. Oh five maybe oh. Six and went to a powell for receive forever and i was looking through the pamphlet for the attlee from festival and i was thinking the pamphlet of other panels. They go check out another panel down here and they had the writer for that australia episode of the simpsons. They're doing panel. they're like he's here to talk about his controversial australia episode awesome. Did you go. i can go to it. I had another thing at the same time this still raining. Disparaging the buddhism buddhist. You would have been the only america you've been like waving american flag it would have been four so it would have been fine actually meant like i wish the american flag was cool again. But i don't think that's going to be happening that you put it in your twitter and put it in my twitter name because i feel like the flag has been co opted. Interesting one hundred percent agree a hundred percent. We need to plant a flag back on america picture of the moon. I don't like seeing that. So i went out of my way to make sure that i had a flag in my name on twitter. Which seems like such a fucking weird thing to do. because i feel like there's this whole side to it now like when you see an article about it in the new york times like last week or the week before but how now. There's like this preconception this judgment when people see the flag plug in a twitter. I'm half expecting someone and tell me. I can't handle criticism like what i'm waiting for. It's really a bummer. Kazaa like now you only see it when it's like and this white supremacist rally and waving the flag and you're like that sucks. 'cause i really like in the seventies evil knievel would just like make jump seats out of hell. Yeah that's cool as hell but now it's it's that and i'd really like to like kind of bring it back and make it. I don't want to say cool again. Because here's the thing. I don't want you to listen to this and be like oh. He stands for everything that america did in the past. No i'm saying i'm saying from here on out. What it needs to be is inclusiveness and diversity and everything that we want the nation to be not the things that you go. But that's what it was. I understand what it was. And that's not good mean.

"Good morning and welcome to the mojo in the morning show. It is so nice to have you guys with us. I don't think i've ever done two days of golf in a row. And i'm going golfing. I guess they went golfing for dad. Dad sons golf outing and today. I'm golfing speaking of dead sons golf outing. I'm doing that again. Two days in a row. I'm golfing as the gulf. Son of spikes dad. Yes thank you. Thank you him out and my mother thinks you for getting him out of her hair for the gulf now realize this actually he. Does you see him atop golf. I got phil mickelson over. He was good. He's actually thing is not necessarily a target there. you know. it's kind of just hit the ball out in that big field and hope something happens is dad. Excited aren't mom mom and dad's visiting going very well. My dad is so excited. But he's like he's just an old man he just you know he's a heart. He's hard to. I noticed yesterday when you text him with all the information he didn't text back and i said okay. I better check on dad because he never carries his phone or looks at his phone. I don't know why he has a phone number. So i call my mom. Tell him fine dad and then find his phone. Put the two together because he staying at my brothers right now. They've been alternating where they're staying and my dad's didn't look at it. But you told me get up there around twelve and i said well mojo wants you to come earlier so that you can have lunch first news all right yeah earlier or twelve. Whatever is no dad. he's rushing out of work to meet you know to go twelve. That'd be fine. Guarantees already ready standing in the driveway and he'd just trying to get him to understand like there's a schedule because he's retired and i'm like no dad. They have to get their eleven thirty. If you're going to have lunch 'cause tee time is twelve. Thirty are yeah. I'll get up there around. that time. mindset is incredible. Wait to get to that point where. I don't have any sort of schedule go. Yeah i'll get there. When i get the right i think i have that. Mindset that this radio show. I was actually thinking about this because the reason why i said you know why. Why don't you show up at eleven. Thirty and i'll get at eleven. Thirty is because usually when. I've gone golfing with older gentlemen I'm not calling your dad. Old they wanna get there so early like they wanna get scope out the grounds they wanna like grab a hot dog like they want into me. I don't know if you've ever gone. We've never gone golfing with me. I show up at the golf course in my time could be twelve thirty. I show up at twelve twenty eight. And i'm putting my shoes on after i hit my first shot on the first the first t box because i am just don't care i'm not as you know fat. You know fanatical about golf. You know but. I'm excited for this this. This'll be excited to. I really appreciate You've no idea. what do i call here for you. I call him mr order. I call him because you gave me. And i've known your dad's name for a while but actually gave me his name as his first name is connie hani. Yeah but i feel like i like as in this goes back to what we talked about last week. About how in the midwest. We always call people mr and mrs and whatever their first name as polite. Wanna be formal your mr kathi mr valdemar but he. Nobody will answer them that way because his name headlights. That's not okay mr spike. Listen off many times over the year with my father in law interview. Think you heard a lot of old man jokes and bad jokes just told this day is over. My dad is going to be eighty four next week. Yeah so not only does he have all the bad jokes. He is the same ones in his arsenal for forty years. And he'll repeat them an hour later forgetting that he already told you the but it is interesting because he never tells them right so every time it's different so you never know what he's gonna by the way does he not sound like spike. I've been really enjoying this visit with my parents. I haven't seen them in over a year and a half. They live on the east coast and cova kept us apart realizing this visit crap i am turning into my father is just like you realize it. After you haven't been together every day see all those same thing. And i also the same thing. This is going through well. He'll probably dress nicer today because he said he had a shirt with a collar for you to golf with but oh he's been wearing the same villanova sweatshirt every day and when my brother last dropped him off at my house he said. See if you can get that hodie off them and wash it because he apparently in retirement. He's been wearing it every day for two months. And that's all that's it. He never takes off. And i realized oh crap that's me because a listener. Just message me. And they ask for my mailing address because he wanted to send me a hoodie from their coney island restaurant because he noticed in our social media videos. That i'm always wearing the same. One black hoodie turning into my father weighed. So the so you You are not the same so for me. it's this. is my office hoodie. He's the guy that thank you for the offer that emailed me because he saw this in our social media. I guess never think about the fact. That reece's always recording now and always taking pictures studio but our studio is either forty degrees we walk in. There are one hundred degrees. So i have a a hoodie that i keep in the office for the sole reason of. I never know what. I'm going to walk into so i'm gonna t shirt but i might need to wear a hoodie and a blanket and it's not so this i didn't realize until you went back and i was like. Oh my god. He was shown. I was looking back and look at the pictures. Every photo on our instagram. In the last few months on mojo in the morning has me wearing the same bland. Kuni so people think i only owned. We thought i thought he thought. I lost all the clothes in the divorce. He's like listen. I know i had a situation once. I had to get out. I didn't have all the clothes with me. Like no no. No i didn't. I brought my clothes with me when i got divorced. It's that i have one in the office. That's funny by the way. I wonder how many divorces just randomly they fight over the other person's closed spiteful. Stuff is left out on the front lawn I i find it amusing. Because i know people that were in. I wear the same color shirt pretty much all the time. I always wear a black shirt. I'm blacks like the only color that actually feel comfortable. And i'm like how oprah saved blackest slimming.
