"Really before you go to the story about the the the NBA and their relationship with China and Hong Kong and the complications that this revolution I don't know what else to call it or a raising to do it because well they get better cast a show so there you go amp amp dot freetalklive dot com so j. we were talking about this sort of situation with the United States doing business with and you know countries don't do business with countries they allow businesses within their borders to do business with each other that's why I love crypto currency so much because it basically removes the you know these financial borders and it's just like you know when the US terrier for example is pulled back from all over the world when Tulsi Gabbard becomes president because that's what she promises to do is to basically bring the Terry home the only other pre presence can I ever heard that promises to do this was Ron Paul honestly we didn't get to see what he can do but I feel what will happen shortly after there is because the though US military's no longer forcing everyone to accept US dollars for example or trade US dollars or the petrol died I feel the US dollar ah heavily collapse quite quickly after the the US military's around the world you know forcing everybody to do it because we've had such a this happily on the unit trade around the world because of the military presence around the world and you know this is where these made sure governments can can essentially be you know their militaries can essentially be neutered not like wiped out but I say neutered by using crypto currency are no longer support Komo financial system anymore basically have to use it in the confessions of an economic hit man the author more or less parrots which you're saying he says that you know on the first level of taking over a country they they send in some engineers and they say oh you guys need a dam or power plant whatever it is a reason to put him in debt and they right and they have they offer loans from a World Bank and you know that sort of thing they know these countries can't pay them back there's all kinds of spinoffs for these crooked leaders right the resources are basically collateralized and so the people right and so the debt is socialized but the the benefit it's you know the trickle up to the top and then then these people go out of power they moved to London or wherever they do and they they take the money with them but if this leader doesn't want to play ball then they send him when he called the jackals right and the jackals are hitmen more or less so you know there was more than one little plane with a Latin American leader that went down over time one from Panama and I think one from Peru and and mel or does Ecuador and you know hey we don't know how that happened and so there assassinated and then if that doesn't work then the situation that happened with ignoring Aga- comes into play so Noriega's sort of a US puppet but sort of out of control at the same time Daddy Bush sins in a fricking attack back on Panama and bombs a civilian population killing thousands and to in order to get this one leader and you know like nobody says anything about it because then they Iraq the Kuwait war situation thing kicks off shortly after I mean this is a war crime and this has been business as usual pretty much my entire life for the United States military to enforce the United States financial policy so we I can't really say that we have you know any like I mean if somewhat revolutionary that we're doing trade with China for example and they're they're still living under communist rule but the thing is when you have these middleman just everywhere yep because basically if I want to buy a product from China I mean just just just a red tape makes really expensive all the way round lesser product is of course subsidize somehow by the you know the you know the Fed governor statement or whatever like these electric cars are subsidized is this stuff is subsidized which creates more market manipulation so there's really no we've never experienced fair trade on international basis now I don't think they that it's it's happened recently but I'm you know on one hand I believe in trade because I believe that if dollars don't cross borders that tanks do oh yeah I trade to I just want it to be left alone let people trade the other aspect of it is is that if you I mean more or less the United States supported the Chinese government they gave them. I can't most favored nation trading status in a variety of things under Clinton there was this Chinese trade accord but there was a distraction China's trade accord has happened and it was called Monica Lewinsky and I you know my buddy goes over at China and even a friend I I my of my dad for American obstacle optical which was a big like optical lens manufacturer in Massachusetts South Bridge Mass at a huge facility well the American government financed our whole move to Mexico I also all these other you know factories and textiles that were bustling when I was located in Western mass hydropower factories everywhere all that manufacturing everybody's rivers there's all these huge mill buildings now there are now hipster apartments and it used to be textile manufacturing literally for like you tire you know a lot of the world yeah and what the Chinese trade accord that stuff all went out and a lot of that like General Motors these these big mills they were basically giving government money government grants my friend who worked for American opposite optical she used to have to come to our house and I was a little kid make phone calls to China because she didn't have a long distance my dad you know he had like a five hundred dollar phone bill every month in the eighties because he was horse trader and talking to people all over the country about Horse Business as she come over and use the phone to call China and she was basically instructing the people and I'm not China Mexico and there was no China thing chewed fly down Tijuana I knew she was setting up because she understands precision equipment to basically grind to make lenses right and it it was all funded by grants and things from the federal government all under any and this woman hates Clinton over this stuff and this is the you know the this is what it all comes down to is this complicated situation where on one hand you know dollars should be free to cross borders so should people be free to cross borders that's just Labor it's just the importation are exporting of labor and that they should be free to do that however you're when the government began subsidizing then you're once again in the business of picking winners and losers and the government's terrible about that and you know none of us do well I mean look at the financial crisis they decided that it was a the banks were too big to fail and they rob the poor people to pay the rich people it's insane yet in two thousand eight tortoise asset whatever thing that they had both Bush and Obama were all you know they're all GonNa do it for it yet we agree on this and I mean they agree on every anyway as far as I'm concerned all kinds of pictures of them hanging out and they so yeah well it was an eight hundred billion dollars and how many homes did debt forgiveness happen on any I never heard a reporter one they're probably yes there were some debt-forgiveness happened probably after the people finally moved out and left the house to be gutted of its copper and things like that so I mean you know once there's no value in the home anymore then yeah they'll start doing some debt forgiven I mean I've never met anybody who had it. The Wall Street billionaires became trillionaires to Wall Street millionaires became billionaires it's basically all that happened yeah everybody got their golden parachute roots and all that stuff and that's what I feel like is going on here with China so we've got a situation where the NBA is kinda kissing Chinese but here and it's like are these Chinese protests are these Hong Kong protesters because they're going to ruin our deal with China and the list of companies this is going on with is long so this week also a game player who played this I I'm not sure exactly what the name of the game is but I know that the company is blizzard which is owned by activision anyone familiar with activision nope they were the competitor to Atari back in the eighties goodness send and they they're still around Atari got you know got their heads smashed but activism says still still lurks about and I think they've got world of warcraft actually is one of the Times right yeah so one of the players did what he you know posted something positive about the US from Hong Kong posted something positive out there a little revolution going on there and Chinese government rang up activision said ring ring you gotta get rid of this guy and so they just fired this dude banned from the competitions all kinds of stuff eight five five four five zero three seven three balance of nature changing the world one life at a time when I tell you something nature really works men I mean I work constantly on the road and putting sixty hours in four days fifty hours a day and I'm telling you this stuff I don't get sick I have plenty of energy and forty six years old man and I can't tell you how grateful I am to have his stuff I want you to know that he works out of this Dr Howard guy so I'll leave it at that experienced the balance of nature difference for yourself call or go online now and become a preferred customer which.

"In Akure independent bookstore which is located along the route of the protest marches what is that hung a huge banner outside this tool to voice their opposition to the extradition bill I understand that Hong Kong is a money oriented city but there's something more important than money like the future and the the freedom in the space of the city is is actually more important than that short term money thing in may I visited Hong Kong for the first time like many says the city is brimming with economic activity from the local trade is selling sugar cane juice to the international banks in the towering glass skyscrapers some powerful business groups have also spoken out against the extradition bill arguing that if possible it would damage Hong Kong's competitiveness and act as a deterrent for foreign businesses and would she in is a hedge fund manager the convener of the twenty forty seven Hong Kong monitor group an alliance of professionals from Hong Kong's financial legal and academic sectors who campaigned for democracy he told me the political turmoil of recent weeks is already having an impact on Hong Kong's financial reputation we experience four months of a horror show and at the peach probably in may and June people get extremely concerned about the situation and we have witnessed a lot of what I caught must affluent middle class upper middle class they look for ways to offshore their money and Singapore U. K. and Jersey Channel Islands these are the places where people would consider when this extradition they was implemented in late February at first people don't know all the intricacies behind it but when Hong Kong people they drove deeper they note this a fax a lot of things and to put a very direct lending Hong Kong games landing China if the extradition bill were to pass what are those people who are moving that money what exactly are they worried about people are concerned that if someone let's say is doing business in China let's say automobile executive from from Germany if China is not happy with the the dealing for whatever reason they are not happy with that's a D. U. S. or Germany or you take a friend someone and say Hey you steal my technology and when they land Hong Kong they could put them on to you we tried inside a Chinese court no that was what most people were fear about that so was not just an extradition bail that a fax Hong Kong person and also it could be a business person from Hong Kong who was doing setting up a factory in in Guangdong whatever and then they could bring them in many minute sayings at an event Hong Kong people what they are really concerned about is first of all get personal safety and second thing it's whether the Chinese court could all during the Hong Kong courts and also the commercial crime bureau to freeze the assets of the person in Hong Kong and that person its stock so that's why we see this as a strong interest of people who tried to open offshore accounts and people from the asset management business they are moving their private wealth also to offshore jurisdictions like in Singapore to UK and to Jersey channelized I've also heard that people with I guess much smaller amounts of money and taking their savings out of Chinese run banks as a kind of protest is not happening in Hong Kong yes people are just curious about the Hong Kong government and also well when they are upset they go for the jugular you know what who is the who was really behind it is is Beijing so they are targeting Chinese banks and the withdrawal like twelve hundred US they are mobilizing these smaller network just to show their discontent so what do you think all this kind of activity leaves Hong Kong and its reputation as a very open and liberal financial center I guess this goes way back to you pre nineteen ninety seven this goes back to the joint declaration what was signed in nineteen eighty four Deng Xiaoping promise one country two systems and and the Chinese way it is interpreted as you can still have your horse betting you because they have your dancing and you can criticize the CCP the Chinese Communist Party these are the Chinese Communist Party after the nude few leaders change hands it seems like Hong Kong people especially the young generation they don't really see the one country two systems is intact so even as businesspeople when this whole horror show was put up for months ago a lot of us were thinking Hey what Hong Kong still be the Hong Kong that I'm jumping problems and if not people would take for instance early retirement hedge fund manager Edward sheen you're listening to business daily from the baby say for many years Hong Kong was regarded as age is major financial center it's not the debate whether it still holds that crown but how did this issue becomes such an important financial play out in the first place David Weber is a former investment banker who now and its website dot com and campaigns the better corporate and economic governance he's lived in Hong Kong since nineteen ninety one well you have to go back to the pushers occupation of eighteen forty one and how it became a trading court and then of course as China went through various convolutions including the communist takeover in nineteen forty nine Hong Kong post but often from the chaos on its doorstep and today it's the only place on Chinese soil unless you count Taiwan which they do we most people realistically dart which has an international capital market and and a free port status freedom of capital movements and importantly under the US Sino British joint declaration since the change of sovereignty in nineteen ninety seven Hong Kong has its own separate jurisdiction from the mainland under the so called one country two systems model and that set ready what was at issue in the sap protests over the last several weeks and how does Hong Kong compare to other financial centers around the well places like New York or London for instance it can be compared in some ways in other ways the regulator system is very backwards for example a great we have a monopoly stock exchange in Hong Kong on which the government appoints the majority of the board and the chat person is usually a member of the cabinet Sir there's there's no competition and not space unlike say America which has multiple competing stock exchanges there are other things that are unique because of the fact that it's so much of the stock market in Hong Kong now consists of mainland companies with listings in Hong Kong such as telecoms and petrochemicals and airlines and so on and why they choose to list in Hong Kong and not in Shanghai because Hong Kong is the only international capital markets in China you could raise our and the Chinese one currency but you would have to have special permissions to investor capital from overseas and so forth and where is listing in Hong Kong you can issue shares to international investors who can freedom with that money in and out of Hong Kong Sir how does that influence how Beijing sees home called its financial value must be something that Beijing considers it's evolved over time because at one stage com because of the poverty in China was a much bigger proportion of Chinese GDP that assisted it is now dwindled to a few percent of the country's GDP sign of government so yeah some call this not go for a bit but China has gotten richer and so it's less important now than it has been and given the currents control mentality of siege in pain and his leadership I think that their political calculus has shifted somewhat calmly keeps them from adopting so far the step a heavy a handle in Hong Kong is that it is subject to an international treaty that they signed with the British even that Beijing occasionally says that's a historic document of no car defect but they did promise not to interfere with the capitalist system in Hong Kong for fifty years from nineteen ninety seven and if they were to reached out to an animal major why in many people would tell you that they have already in some ways then it basically undermines China's credibility in on the international negotiations such as its trade status with other countries with the WTO that does seem to be something else that Hong Kong represents to some Hong Kong residents I've heard it described as the goose that lays the golden eggs all the white globs of China what you think I mean by that well as they said there's a few that China would lose as some things if they were to basically terribly basic law that protects Hong Kong as a separate legal system earlier than two zero four seven then that would drive a waste a quick look to the financial sector from Hong Kong and I think they've already done some of that with the extradition bill even though the bill's been suspended the threat that it might one day return means that rich mainlanders here perhaps would have established their official or semi official financial arrangements in Hong Kong trusts and foundations and so on would now look to move those off shore completely and put them in Singapore Switzerland which have sovereignty the Hong Kong doesn't because they would fear that pulse of this bill would be resurrected if not the extradition provisions that perhaps the ability to seize assets of suspects mall there under investigation in the mainland and of course if you are a financially successful person you never quite know whether someone's gonna be knocking on the door you are treated your way into that and and I'm not looking to seize your assets so it makes sense now for the people and they private banking sector to advise their clients not to book assets in the Hong Kong jurisdiction but to do so official and that's a shame David Webb shortly after chief executive Carrie lam announce the controversial extradition bill was being suspended late last month two million people turned out on to the streets to call for the legislation to be dropped once and for all among them was this home called Dr he's asked to remain anonymous he said police acted heavy handedly when it came to dealing with the demonstrations and he's outrage that some of the injured who came to the hospital for treatment were handed over to police hospitals as supposed to be a safe haven patients and healthcare workers this is really one of the biggest heart breaking things as a home all citizens that I've ever ever gone through the faults that Hong Kong has been a well developed city and all of a sudden it sounds like a story that would only happen in a sad way out clothes like so and what kind of injuries with A. presenting with most of them had injuries related to see a gazza Pappas strays the more severely injured people most of them were injured by blind forces for example by but Tom's old by direct impacts from a gas canister as well rubber bullets first of all day we're not supposed to the finance at head level for the protesters there was supposed to be finance waist down or find and the ground so that they would find still of but we have seen a lot of people who got had injuries which was really extraordinary Carrie lam the political leader of Hong Kong says that there's no need for the protest is to be violent or even to continue because her government has announced it will be suspending the extradition battle and she said this week that this bill will just die a death because it would be heard of again before I think next July and it would just expire do you believe have when she says that nothing matters of the protesters in Hong Kong citizens do not believe of that's why we are demanding that the government they have to the clan that does extradition fail to the pain and the risk on instead of being suspended so it does really sound like a really crucial moments in the history.

"But then you're not tapping into the Hong Kong post with these bets are being co-mingled into those massive pools that you see at Hong Kong be happy. Value shot in and and and therefore they have their way of doing things not every company in America's is set up to things precisely that lay so easy bets. Win Hong Kong calls play some of them call it show, but it's basically show price without a place price. So you get win three dollars. And then show, you know to sixty three eighty five forty. That's that's family typical what we see in Dubai racing. British racing oil last got things like that. When I was very popular try factors as well. And some of the site seem to be pagan what's call an Omni swinger where you take the three finishes as Quinnell. So as long as you're in your to horses are in the top tree you're going to cash if you're not gonna catch gigantic. But it does give you some coverage of maybe some payback money. So in other words came in one two three you would cash. One to one free what two-three number members canal. So it's one to what two one. So that's that's that's another difference that not only Hong Kong, but most natural raising have swing type pets hopefully down the road horizontal wage ruin will be tapped into the couple. She's trying to get that done. Some shove accumulating all the data dealing with companies trying to get them resolve. If that like, I say the process with were in the forty third meeting of an eight meet racier so just about halfway Saturday night is the forty third meeting at Shotton and shot in that shows Patrick Patrick Andrus stated in the past shot into ten races on Sundays at valley usually run eight races on Wednesday night. Now as soon as I say that next week the change in the schedule because shot ten will be running next Thursday. No Happy Valley on Wednesday. The nice thing. Happy Valley is because they raised that night the time zone differences aren't that bad for the east coast running at six in the morning yesterday morning, if you got a fairly could've caught the first race from shot, and and that goes on about ten thirty eastern time. So when she went has not been Happy Valley running east coast people these have a good opportunity same as French and British raising during the week days to catch up next week shot ten will be after noon racing. So that'll be the middle of the night for us early Thursday morning. That's a little bit of a change in the schedule. A lot of the amazing thing what I've been doing especially when you guys would discuss them breakfast dietary. I I'm on the Hong Kong Jockey club website, and some of me who's been obsessive if some of dangerous because there's so much stuff for me to look at and you can date, and then you did and then you can keep digging, and you can find out how much points how much once gonna wait and how much have they been carrying lately, I'm just all sorts of detailed information that they give out among the Hong Kong Jockey club media list. And they I must get ten press releases from them day. We're always complaining about gilding when was the horse girl that exactly when will they tell you exactly when and if you Geldenhuys without telling them, you're in a lot of trouble. So those tremendous transparency with their racing any horse that gets injured even training walking around on anything. That's reported has to pass an inspection. Before they can raise and they tell everybody about. So it's not some back backyard. You know, born secrets that the horse might have had a little bit of an issue anything else like that. But just give you tremendous information. One thing I will recommend and another thing that month again Machel's working on is to try to standardize early. Expand past performances that are available one that available right now or K, but they can be better ways of combining what a couple other countries do and try to get the Hong Kong information to that format to make look more like what we're used to especially with the points of call sexual times things like that. But if you run if you on the Hong Kong Jockey, what's which is age cage, AC dot com..

"Vic yes i can you now finally so there you go all right i was talking i wanna bump music stop them that was well that's right all right well i was just saying i'm sorry that you know pask was ask it was tough to control their and so we lost a little bit i may have to put you on the front end of thursday mornings actually but happy that to have somebody domestic to have these discussions not that you know not that they weren't great with andrew hawkins and with pat cummings but it it was getting tough to make arrangements for the you know the late night chats with andrew going back to australia so it's great to have you you're you're probably one of the few people out there that are doing preview work for shotton and happy valley and press kyle yeah i i think i might be the only one well deck let's catch everybody up the last conversation we had we there was in december and so we've got to kind of get up to speed right away with what's going on at the hong kong jockey club and shot and of course yesterday abby valley and looking forward to overnight saturday that the the big house yes what's happened in the meantime the hong kong jockey club is high of michelle fisher to represent them over here and she is going through a lot of logistical challenges trying to get some uniformity with that types with various things that the eighty ws a doing with hong kong and i think it's going to result in month much much wider precision of hong kong race and hopefully much much more business on them so as she goes through that challenge my challenges to educate american batters on on racing and believe me i can't compete with android 'cause i read and stuff and i'm like hacking anyone right this much on these raisins but that said and it's still available on various website what what i'm trying to do is get the people over here who we might encourage the tune in watch hong kong racing either early in the night later in the early morning it's just what what are you looking at you see a lot of numbers on the top for number one and then big numbers and if i can't all be long shots they can't they can't pay eighty dollars to win well the hong kong minimum bet is ten dollars so so looks more than it is and and hong kong like most trent must most racing jurisdictions around the world they base their prices purely on the odds and the state is figured and so in other words yesterday's last race the dallas seventy two one and on towboat it said seventeen dollars so for us that would be three forty but when we see dollar seventy two one we see five forty weeks we see two times dollar seventy plus two dollars well there's no plus two dollars plus mistake in their prices so that's first thing that used the second thing because of the currency differential you basically dividing the numbers you see by seven some of the things some of the bed types that you've seen over here dollar thirty type beds for cornell win beds things like that so that that part not that difficult shells working on a bunch of things to try to streamline that and make uniform for the new saints so we were working on that and it's it's into process because the the great thing is by doing it this way the easy way to set up your own bedding and just do whatever you want but then you're not tapping into the hong kong post with these bets are being co-mingled into those massive pools that you see at hong kong be happy value shot in and and and therefore they have their way of doing things not every company in america's is set up to things precisely that lay so easy bets win hong kong calls play some of them call it show but it's basically show price without a place price so you get win three dollars and.

Vic two dollars seventeen dollars five forty weeks eighty dollars three dollars ten dollars eighty ws
