"God descended upon him. Anyway and God said this is my beloved son and all that he said but if you break down he said this is my son. The next one that spoke was the devil in what he ask. If you are the son this is my son. And then he combats the very word of God if you are the son of God you know. And that's what he does with us. He comes says if we get saved our you know he comes and says if you really are saved how about healing he'll come in and when the minute we start understanding that were not trying to talk God out of something that he doesn't WanNa give but in fact he's already given it and I'm talking about healing 'cause we'll pray in when we don't get that immediate miracle thing and then those things happen then then a pain or something it will begin to doubt and really the enemy says if you are healed but say all we have to do is what what Jesus did. It is written by who stripes? You were healed. It is written. He sent his word and healed them. It is written that God has forgiven all of your iniquities and healed all of your diseases you know and so the word brings hope it is hope and You know all you need is a draw menu get stirred up and I was thinking this morning about our conversation a couple of days ago. You know I'm retired. And I have a little portfolio and part of. That's what I live on. You know the investments in the last few weeks my portfolio is up twenty percent. Well I'm telling you what it took my breath away. It got my attention. Let's put it that way and what you said spoke to me so much because I went back in. I thought you know in proverbs. Guy Says that he he makes a sparse Percy sorrow to the very next chapter says do not trust in your riches. Come on trust in many because it's fleeting it's gone our trust is in him anything this and those things. When you put your trust in them they will let you down. I mean they will and they will try to leave you hopeless but as long as you just turned. Say You know what. That's not my source that you know. Gods God's my source. He's he's me he's got me covered and I don't think it's a reason to just not take care of business and things and sit around and just say we'll take me send a check but I think it's purpose just remember where my putting my trust. Were putting my. That's exactly it may ask the question. What do I trust our do I trust him? Let me ask you this question. A little bit different direction here. Let me ask you this because you mentioned this to you and I thought it was very very interesting. What do you do about people who say to you? You're never going to be healed. It's been thirty years. You can't make a movie. You don't have enough experience what's wrong with you. You have a name for people that do that. Yeah well thank. The name is dream squatter. How's it there's there's been many see when I was a kid. I wanted to play instruments and they basically told me. I'd never played the guitar or the piano because my hands were too big. My fingers were too fat and always thought well. Why not get a bigger guitar? So you gotta just get on the high side of things. You can't let words so if I'd listened to them I would've never played all my life. I've been on the discovery channel. I've been done Three specials on TV and been on revelation television in England and all all kinds of just local television Played all my life and see if I listen to that. I didn't ever done anything like that and I did. The same thing writing songs. And and all that but You know I don't entertain dream. Squash irs a whole lot. So I don't have a lot site. Do you know always remember. I can do all things through Christ. Which strengthens me? Which is a song. I wrote for the dream squatters and mentions mentions those saints but like the movie. The first one to tell me I couldn't do. It was me so there is always the way it is Squash during how? Why would I think I could make a movie? I'll I'll say it and laughed. I actually laughed. I said Wauconda movie would make. It was so impossible in my mind and so ridiculous and I mean the last camera really enjoyed. Was the camera where you snapped. Shot in the film came out of the side. You pull it out and lots and lots. That's ridiculous. That's called a polaroid polaroid camera instamatic by the way but in on a roll to saw how the West was won and about an trail-blazing preach our road stores in there. That were real and familiar to me and I thought would be great if someone made a movie out of that song and I heard the Lord say well. Why don't you and that's when I laughed. But you remember Sarah when she heard talking to Abram about got an exactly you know and so so he does get mad at us for for for life he he wants us to get in faith and so this is what the Lord ask me and this is so good to hear anybody. Here's this Podcast needs to hear this. We all have dreams Ben but usually the dream squashes have had their way. And we've put them on the shelf or we've thrown them down completely. Walked away from them because they seem like too much but when we yield when we say. God desire this I tell you when he gets bind you look at if God before who can be against us and so this is where God will take you when I when I thought of you know what kind of movie could on Mike and I heard the Lord Say. Can you wrote the story? I think anybody could ride. A story. Saw a yield into that. I said Yes lord I can ride. I can write a story. It was in my heart already. He said well you do that. And he's you don't worry about the movie. Make an ace at all. I'll work on that. So you just started putting one foot in front of and just walking out by faith not knowing how it was all gonna come together. Don't don't look at the Great. You remember the old saying that so encouraging a journey of ten thousand miles begins with one step. That's exactly right you know and so I wrote the story and then I never could imagine how things could come together. You know. I'll tell you David you're live. You have one hundred stories to tell and I'm going to tap you for a bunch of them. We just can't do it all in one day. I love so I wanna I wanNA have you back again and again but if somebody wants to contact you or if they want to get your music or no more about your movies and what you're doing how can they do that. Well we You can you can look up on our website at a outreach. Four America Dot Net and then I'll reach for America Holywood church productions are filmed company. Were in jail. Oklahoma and ministry number is two five three. It's area code. I'm sorry non. One eight two five three hope. That's great and I thought about that in even telling you about that but Actually until I started giving that number forgot we got that. But yeah two five three hope and we'd be glad to pray with you. We don't have twenty four hour day seven day a week but if you call leave a message we'll be back in touch with you and but yeah we're family in new new movie and and we're moving ahead you know you're supposed to just quit after a heart attack. You haven't heated. That of Penn told too many times. But you know what the whole thing is is use wisdom and get up and take steps and understand the resistance that you feel is bringing strength you know. Don't be discouraged because you can't run a marathon or I couldn't take more than ten or twenty steps and I was so weak but take a step take the twenty steps aside and it'll become thirty it'll become forty and pretty soon you'll be moving you know but but have led whole have. It's way because when it shows up and that drop it'll bring everything back to life. It'll bring everything message for us for me for all of us a droplet hope really can and change your life and there's been times when I've needed that drop of because it does a coke in certain situations. David thank you so much for coming in doing this with this. Appreciate it so much for you. That are listening In just a moment we're going to end this show with a special song from David. But in the meantime I do want to thank you for listening to our podcast today and let you know you have a story and it's probably better than you think it is and if you're willing to tell it. I'd like to hear from you because your story might be the one that changes somebody's life just like David story is doing that today. "Now. I haven't revisited them in years. I think they have their moment. I mean that, that highway chase in the second one is incredible, and it was like all it was all done like practically, which makes it even crazier because they would never do that today. So I do think they have their moments. I also think they're really far up their own ads like that's where that scene where Neo as a conference. I think his name was the architect, and he keeps being cred pro quo like shut it goes over the forty five minutes, and it's like unbearable but I do think I think they're so. I think like most wikowsky films, they're so overloaded with crazy ideas that you have to appreciate them, because no one else makes bills like that now and they make them on huge on huge crane scales, and they may not be beloved by the general public. But at least at least they're different. I was dreading the architects. Scene, but watching it again, I think it works mainly because canneries performance in that scene, where he's using his natural blankets is like the perfect deadpan reaction to all that bullshit, makes it work coming away. It didn't twenty years ago. But yeah, I, I think that they're, they're reach goes beyond their grasp often in these movies, but I can't help but admire that, you know, all these years later, I actually think the matrix reloaded is a fantastic sequel and the only thing that is it's marred by is the unsatisfying conclusion in revolutions. Well, also the CJ. Mortgage better than you think. Honestly, I, I was surprised that's just a product of its of its time, like it's obviously it's not perfect. But it does not Lou terrible yet. But I mean they went for, and they were pushing it to its limits like they were using it in a way that I think a lot of Holywood was afraid to use, like, especially in that lake the action scene that takes place in that little, like courtyard park, wherever it is all the hundreds of agents myths. Yeah. But yeah, so Ben now that you have shown Amy the original matrix. Are you going to show her the sequels? I don't know. I'm I'm really torn about this. I mean hearing Jacob talk about it, it makes me like inch a little bit closer to the probability of maybe doing it, but I don't know man, because I it's been a long time since I've revisited does, too. And I, I don't know if I wanna fully mar the experience of washing the original because she really enjoyed the first one so. TD on that. Okay. HT what have you been watching this week? Destin Daniel Cretton to Direct Asian-American Superhero Movie Based on Shang-Chi Character for Marvel Studios

"News broke on the Hollywood reporter that destined. Daniel Cretin has signed on to direct Marvel's Shanxi movie. Which will Mark the studios very first superhero film with an Asian lead? So word of this project for surface back in September along with the news that marvel was going to fasttrack it, and they also tapped at that point writers penned the screenplay at that time. It was reported that marvel was looking towards Black Panther a little bit of a guide and a model just in terms of hiring Asian or or an Asian American director to helm this one other directors that were in the running included Justin tipping, Alan Yang and Deborah Chow. But of course, Cretin is the one that landed this gig. So from this point on marvel is looking to assemble a largely Asian American and Asian cast for the film. So hopefully, we get a lot more news on this very soon. But right now focusing on the director, Amy rose, what do you think? About destined getting this gig. I think it's a great choice short-term twelve most people didn't really know about Brielle arson before the room, but this was the little gem, and there's kind of something around the internet floating around that like this was like the magic well short term twelve because everyone who was in this movie, this has been a launch pad for a lot of success, and it's just such a talented cast, and he's an amazing director. And like it's about time. I feel like a rook a broken record talking about representation being so important in media. But it really is. And you know, I'm finally pursuing my dream of directing. But I didn't have a lot of role models growing up and that right there because there were probably ten I could count on my fingers female directors. And it's the same thing with having an all Asian cast Asian director with this property who's going to know the property better. So think it's a great choice. He has a lot of talent. And I'm glad that marvel and Holywood is still slow to change. But I'm glad that they are finally showing a little bit more

"Hey, what's going on in redder? Why turnby? Hey, everyone. So next week is thanksgiving. And for those of you don't know the town that city of Holywood, basically shuts down on, you know, big holiday weeks, all the executives I take off meaning even early and we're starting to see that today because the news kind of slowed down to a, you know, very slow rate. So we're working on less interesting stories than usual, but we do have some in pinions to to to give you on these stories. So let's jump into it. Let's start off with film struck which it was nnounced was being canceled. You know, there have been petitions. And now some filmmakers have gathered together in support of trying to see film struck each day. Tell us about it. Yes, there's a huge uproar. When wonder brothers announced that it would be shattering film struck last month and a petition arose online, which as we all know never really leave anything, but then bigger names just gambled or Toro and other claimed rector started to put their throw their weight behind this online petition. And now he and other big name directors have been together to plead with more Warner media group to say film struck and this includes Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Paul Thomas.

"Quests, which is a standalone virtual reality headset that is launching in spring of twenty nineteen. And this will be the launch project of Oculus quest. This is interesting for a variety of reasons. I do want to point out that like it seems like they're trying to do this very connected world like there was this whole secrets of the empire experience at the void. I think I'm the only one on this podcast that experienced it in. I'm not a video gamer. I'm not even a big proponent of VR, but. Experiencing secret to the empire in being feeling like you are inside the world of Star Wars was incredible. And I, I can definitely see the draw of its. The interesting thing is that that experience kind of sets up not going to spoil anything, but there's a kind of like a secret weapon of some kind of setup. And apparently some of the things that are kind of set up in there that are actually also referenced in rogue one are going to tie into these projects in we'd into a larger story in connect. I, I do find the titled be little weird like Vader immortal because we know he's, he's not immortal, right. But I'm wondering, you know, in the prequels his master talked about the power to escape death, and obviously he was not able to escape death. That Bir in the I know in the expanded universe Star Wars stuff. The emperor was, you know, after returning tonight, you know, trying to seek out some stuff that he was unable to get his hands on. That he had. It gets complicated, but he had like a robotic version of him trying to find this. Anyways, there has been some speculation that he was trying to to find the these ancient Genentech's or whatever that would allow you to live forever the cure to death or something like that. And I'm wondering and I know digit Abrahams probably didn't have any intention in this when he wrote Star Wars supports wakened, but there is that line. The Kylo Ren says, I'll finish what you started. I'm wondering if there is something to all of this like that. There is something to the immortal thing that is going to play in part of episode nine, probably not. I'm probably reading too much into from like any Star Wars geek, but HD. What do you think? I mean, that's possible because I think has teased before that this will be cannon. This dot baiter immortal experience will be part of the greater Star Wars. Saga. So it's possible that this could be a tie in with the upcoming episode nine. Did you guys? I, I think we've talked about VR in the past. Like, does this excite you? Like Star Wars Episode, Nick experience ridden by, you know, Holywood screenwriter producer like, does that get you more excited about the are. I can't say it does. I've never actually experienced anything like truly VR before I've done like little headsets where you put the phone in, but I've never done like a true VR experience. So I don't really know what to make of it. I know that people who have experienced really enjoy it, but I just don't really have anything to go on. Chris, this will allow you to be in your own house. Not via you don't have to leave your doors and you could be in the university of Star Wars. You don't have to go to Star Wars, Landon, spend hundreds of dollars. I, I don't know. I just wanna watch stuff. I don't like this to me is just like, you know, like three D. And smell-o-vision. I don't need gimmicks. Just give me a movie. It's online. You just give me the movie. I'll watch the movie. I don't wanna. I wanna put a video Drome device on my head and go into the world. Like I, I don't need that. Sorry. I'm like, you know, as much as I enjoyed that secrets, the empire experience. That was cool because it's something called the room scale, which is like they build out like this kind of small or this big room so that like you're walking through hallways and you can feel the, you know, the virtual hallways, you can open the doors..

"You'd think Holywood ends live, edit does. Did he have the fate and all they just have regular boots acids? I'm not putting the fate on right now. He had to fade on. He had the fate on and he was holding like a mosque which had like the LIZA dots coming out of it. So presumably, if you, if you asked like he would put the mask on or you could wear them all. So he had the actual you saw his face face? Yeah, he had. He had the, he does. I realize can't remember. I was only there for a second because bicycle people going in and doing the heroic poses or whatever. I did the one with the back foot up like the t. he's I'm in love. And then I have a second front, which I didn't put out, which is the the dude in the suit looking very perturbed that I'm doing that host, which it didn't put up as a look fat in it. Give it to me all shut down. And then I saw the predator. Yeah, good. Excellent. So I just went to a cinema like a local local local, but at one of the cinema's nearish may and I got there on time when the movie starts because you do and I, it's this a fire alarm story. He's gonna file firearm story. It's not even a good story. This is we'll be the judge of that dick of hundreds of thousands of listen to sway the judge of that everyone mile linen tweet and let James know this is the action of this week. Let James know often hear the story immediately tweet into James. Was this a good story or not at Mr.? Southern movies, yes or no? Me up, hit me up. So basically I go to my say it's everything's pre Reinsch saying whatever on citing which I like now is against it. But now I'm for it. I go download. It was like six zero due to my sake. It's a, it's a pretty empty theater, but I don't want to sit somewhere else and then be like someone else comes up to Maine's Melissa. So I'm like, hey, I'm in a non or whatever. And he's like all mundane on. And I'm like, look, this is my ticket and he's like, oh, I'll make five or whatever. And he goes, do I'm gonna move? And I'm like, yeah, I guess it's not man. So I'll just take your say, all right. So I go and sit in his say, whatever. It's not a big deal. It's really it's quite close. Yeah, but you love you love ROY, and then give it go to the movies, say giants. You'll be Jane. There's and then some then a couple came and sat in between us with a giant bag of food like Insein, like in a huge pipe about what you're gonna, say, a couple came in and set to the side. And he's like, oh yeah, that's my. That's my poly-amorous couple. But that's my two wives. And this was this was as the movie started maybe starting. There's a joint bag of food sitting estimate and then the woman sitting to the other side of that, she's that's rummaging through the bag, like a fucking square been banned. Yeah, I think I think it was like a big crinkly paper bag. All right. Okay. Just like just, yeah, just like a squirrel on been not just just pulling out all this different stuff starts crinkly and Latin. I'm like on after move. I think this is the movie. She's individually fulled rap bags of potatoes. JC like unfold them and then opened the crack them up and yeah, and then this is the movie is started by the way, and then she pools editor fired, and she's just looking at like I level looking at it, so it's right how many, it's probably twenty maybe thirty. Okay, right. Is there anybody directly behind her? Yes. Okay, great. And I'll say something I'm going to be. She looked like a woman who will start a fight with you. Yes. Okay..

"Day, maybe they'll put out like a Blu Ray or something with all the footage. They ended up cutting out to get his down into a film. Now do we know has ever happened before. I want to a TV show edited into a movie. Yes. David Lynch technically did that with Mahala drive. That was originally a pilot and he went back and added on it and turn it into a film. So there is that. But I don't know if there's ever been a case where a whole series a whole season has been edited down into a film. It's interesting because I forget what show was a Netflix, but last year watch the show. I think it was like a BBC series and it was like six episodes long in comedy. So it was like twenty three minutes in episode and I-. Binge watched. I don't even remember what it was, but it ended up being like, you know, two hours twenty minutes. And I was like, it's funny that Netflix didn't just like package this together because it was like one whole story in could've turned it into a movie. But I, you know, obviously it was directed by different directors. You can't do that. I'm wondering if well. Why? Why did this happen? Like what? Why? Why did they decide to to really says movie instead of TV series and he really didn't give any specific reason? I mean, maybe it just wasn't working as a TV series. You know, I guess one of the, the good things about Netflix is people who work for them two craters work them have a lot of freedom. So maybe while shooting and while editing the series, the Coen brothers realized this isn't working in, let's make it a movie. They did something similar to this before in the past where they went back and released a director's cut of their first film. Blood simple. And unlike other director's cuts with tend to be longer than theatrical cut. The the blood simple director's cut was actually shorter in that they trimmed a few minutes off. It made it an overall tighter film. So maybe that was the case here. Maybe they didn't like where the TV version was going and decided instead to turn into a film. Have have you ever seen. That director's cut with audio commentary. Chris, the blood, simple one. Yes, it's great. I believe it's the Coen brothers pretending to be Holywood executives or something. Yeah, there's like a, it's they loved to just basically mess around with like for years. They would take credit as like editors for the. They would use like a fictional name as an editor for their films, but it was just them editing it. Yeah, no, I, if you have that blood simple DVD or Blu Ray, I'd go check that out if you haven't because I feel like it's one of the special features that many people might overlook because you know, it's not on the packaging, the filmmaker giving the audio commentary, but it it is. It is great. It is. It is a piece of art from the Coen brothers themselves..
