"Who's going to be doing the suing? Yeah, who are they claiming they are? Well, because I guarantee you, it's just a guy. It's not it turns out it probably is. They were definitely pointing them to the direction of the holy Trinity church by suggesting that they make the donation there. Right. There was a group called Christian concern that everybody thought it was. Maybe they claimed responsibility or something. As groups do in these instances, but no, apparently it wasn't them either. They're still trying to figure it out. It's just a guy. And I'll tell you, I'll tell you what else too. What? If this little cafe doesn't create a 12 foot banner that says home of the cheeses Christ. And put that up. And then underneath that, just write so sue me or whatever. Yeah. They are doing it wrong. Exactly. And it sounds like a delicious sandwich. Also, they need to add it to the menu, the oh my cod, sandwich, they need to, they need to lean into this heavily. There needs to be like the fishes of men. Yeah. Exactly. The father's son and the holy shit, that's good pastrami. Or the holy crust. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, the Jesus Christ, it's a sandwich with caramelized onion, onion chutney, mature Cheddar, and mozzarella cheese. Sounds delicious. I do hear that. Toasted, I imagine? Sure. It better be. Otherwise, look, I love cheese, but cheese doesn't really hit its stride until you melt it. So, it sounds, I mean, it would have to be a melted cheese sandwich. It would have to be. It would have to be. They'd be fools. It's gotta be a grilled panini or something. Anyway, all right, well, I wish them good luck with and I hope they do get sued. That sounds delightful. Oh, I would love it. Because they're little religious feelings are hurt. I love those laws. Yeah. All right, well, so speaking of law, listeners to our show may have heard of a thing called the Supreme Court of the United States of America. Unfortunately, a failed institution, but they're nonetheless. I didn't think that it would be that you'd ever be able to look at the Supreme Court of the United States and think, well, that's just a shit show. But there it is. Anyway, there was an interesting incident reported in Rolling Stone this week that occurred where a conservative YouTuber was live streaming out in front of the scotus building. The Supreme Court building, and happened to be talking to a Christian nationalist named Peggy naber, who is executive director of a group called Christian group liberty council. Or she's director of D.C. ministry, which isn't an extension of Christian group liberty council, which is, of course, a very conservative group. It sounds like it. And they have her little ministry has an office right behind the Supreme Court building. They are there to do activist Christian work. That is that they are conservative Christian activists, and this woman believe not knowing that she was being recorded. As she talked to this YouTuber, she very clearly said that she has prayed with and praise with Supreme Court Justices. Now,

"Friends. Well from a very hot, Salt Lake City Utah. It's think on an atheist. The podcast. I'm Frank Feldman, and I'm Dan beecher, and coming up on the show today, Dan. That's the big, the largest Hadron Collider drawn collider thing over in Europe. It's back in action again about to ruin the world. It's literally going to destroy the world. It's going to, it might bring about the apocalypse of revelation, we don't know. Isn't that the thing that put us on this wrong timeline? Yeah. I'm starting to like, I've heard something about that. I'm on board. There are many conspiracy theories. Some of them may or may not be true. We don't know. But we're going to explore it. We'll get it figured out by the end of the show. But anything that can put me back on the timeline that I was on. Before this one. Things were going well. A boson ruined everything. Yeah, I mean, the arc of history was still leaning toward justice. Where I was. Fuck those shit. All right. Well, Dan, yeah. You're going to be concerned about this, I think, Dan. There is a cafe in the UK. In a place called Whaley bridge. Okay. Have you ever heard of Whaley bridge? Called the bridge bakehouse. Okay. They offer freshly baked handmade goodies, including cakes, pastries, sandwiches, and they enjoy a good pun when naming their product. Oh, sure. And they've got a whole bunch of them. They have a sandwich called the don't go bacon my heart. Oh yeah. Are you chicken me out? Here's what I want to know. Obviously there's bacon on don't go bacon my heart, but is there heart? 'cause there should be. It should be a heart and bacon sandwich. Well, anyway, Dan. That would be disgusting. What they do have is a sandwich called the cheeses Christ. Yes. Which has sparked the ire of some locals. They're in Whaley bridge. They had a little menu outside. So that people before entering could see what they have to offer, right? Yeah. Somebody whited out the cheeses Christ. Sandwich from the menu. Does why did it out there? And in addition, symptom a letter, or maybe it was posted. They might have posted the letter on the door. Like Martin Luther himself. They're following his example. The letter said, our members have instructed us to write you to ask you to remove the sandwich named Jesus Christ from your menu. Although our clients would prefer to settle this matter out of the courts, there is likely a case to answer here. Everyone in the United Kingdom has the right to their beliefs without fear of discrimination. It is a basic human right that all institutions, including bakeries, have a duty to abide by and protect. It goes on to say that it's an insult to the sandwich, it was an insult to Christianity. Oh my God. And they listed four steps, but the bakery could take. In order to avoid seeing them in court. They could, they need to one issue a public apology. Okay. All of the cafes platforms, social media, website, et cetera, within 5 working days. Of the date of the letter. They must remove the sandwich name, and all mentions of it from the cafe's menu within ten days. They have to remove any mention of the name Jesus Christ from the sign standing on the Whaley bridge parish within the 30 days. And they need to make a 300 pound donation to the holy Trinity church within 30 working days. Didn't know wait. Did the author of this letter explain who they think we is? You mean,

"15 billion m³ of liquefied natural gas LNG for your this year This will replace the LNG supply recurrently received from Russia The president of the United States on his way to Warsaw their in Brussels with Ursula von der leyen with her unique German knowledge of defense and military and important meeting we had that I believe earlier this morning And again we're monitoring the president in the next hour I believe to land in Warsaw Right now is my interview of the day and not that I'm just back from Paris and it was an extraordinary joy to see Paris preparing for the Olympics because he is hugely qualified with his public service to the French nation and this moment of war Felipe Tiana's French ambassador to the United States of America but far more has had tours of duty particularly in Romania He understands Eastern Europe perhaps more than anyone enter in the show Ambassador thank you so much for joining Bloomberg Thank you very much for having me Embarrassing We have limitations I can not speak to you of course of the domestic politics of France I believe that's off limit this morning but I can speak to you of when I'm in London and I get on the train and I go under the channel and I come out There are the fields of wheat of France You are in the absolute agricultural nexus of the rich helping the poor with limited food at this moment How will France help the poor of the world with their wheat and other agricultural products It is indeed one of our duties and one of the initiatives we have decided yesterday at the summits in Brussels to take France like the United States is an important producer of weight but we have collectively to help the world community to face a food security crisis which is one of the threats caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine The first thing to do is of course to demand a ceasefire in Ukraine for the Ukrainian people first but also because it would be the only way to allow the Ukrainians to sow their seeds and to prepare for the next harvest But we have also indeed to take initiatives to increase productions to increase coordination internationally to help all the countries which were the most vulnerable in the world and who depend from imports of wheat Ambassador the president speaks of a 100,000 refugees coming to America It seems like a tragic statistic given the millions coming over the borders of Romania of Poland And the rest confronts provide France provide leadership in Europe with amount of number of refugees coming into France And that statistic we had we have provided leadership because Francis holding the rotating presidency of the council of the European Union And as soon as the war has started and as a refugees have started to come into the EU we have decided as EU to give the Ukrainian refugees more than 3 million already arriving to the European Union to provide them with the spatial statute protection statues they are schooled have access to healthcare They have access to jobs We have been doing this immediately Of course the refugees first come to the boulder countries Poland Romania also Slovakia Hungary also outside the U but now they are coming to other countries And you see everywhere including in France a huge movement of solidarity for the tens of thousands of Ukrainian refugees which are already in France in Italy of course in Germany very many So they are coming to us too And as an EU we have taken very very quick and very bold measures through welcome them Ambassador you spoke of Poland or of course the president of the United States is expected to land in just about half an hour's time before he did so though he was in Brussels with Ursula von der leyen announcing that agreement on U.S. LNG What is the French feeling this morning about its energy security and whether or not it is able to wean itself off of Russia Well even if France is a bit less dependent on import from Russia than other you countries is this for us as again as a presidency of the European Union It is a common problem It is a European problem The European leaders were convened by our president in Versailles two three weeks ago and they decided to stop the dependency on Russian imports of energy And also to increase in other fields food critical materials the resilience of our economy It's a huge lesson to learn from this war And we will transform decisively the European Union And to get rid of this dependency from imports from Russia in energy means first to accelerate our transition and also to diversify our supply including of gas From this point of view the agreement which has been announced by the United States and the European Union about this 15 1 billion m³ additional of American supply to Europe is really important And we will diversify our supplies so that we get rid of this dependency as quickly as possible Ambassador in Paris on the river seine are those bright gold domes they stick out like a sore thumb and it is Russian architecture of the Russian Orthodox Church explain to us the new relationship of Russia that you know so well with your representation of the nation in Moscow explain the new relationship you will perceive of Russia with Paris and France For the time being of course we need to stop this war and the relation is mostly that our president is among the leaders who has decided to continue to talk to the Russian president to tell him that the ceasefire is absolutely necessary Humanitarian access is absolutely necessary We have while we raise the sanctions and the price paid by Russia for this invasion and these sanctions are really important now We have to first as a priority absolute priority to get to a society And we are doing this in close coordination with the president of Ukraine Of course once there is a ceasefire there could be negotiations And once there would be negotiations we could turn to the future But the absolute priority is a ceasefire Ambassador thank you so much for joining us this morning Philippe at the French ambassador to the United States Kayleigh is something to come into Paris and see the traditional architecture and only made in the last number of years The holy Trinity church of Russia to wonder you wonder how that relationship will be here coming for Kayleigh thank you for helping out when I was gone Thank you for being here for "Dennis, how are you today? Thank you well. I have to tell you, I love your show. I've been following you since religion on the line, which is quite a long time. Full disclosure, I'm vaccinated. I'm a Republican. I'm against all mandates. And I have no problem with your approach to COVID. However, I'm a statistics person. I'm a math person. And I was listening to your show yesterday, you were talking about Sweden. And in looking at the statistics, I'm not, they are certainly much better than the United States. But I'm comparing them to the other Nordic countries and I'm including Iceland and they're although that's a very isolated island by itself. And it seems to be that their death rate per million people is taking the best country next to them, which is Denmark. Their death rate per million is at least three times worse than that. So I'm not sure that we could call them successful compared to the neighboring countries. That's all that I wanted to say. Right. I thank you for your call. I will respond. I always note that that, I think I did yesterday that people compare them. I'm almost certain I said it yesterday. People compare Sweden not to other countries, but only other countries that are considered Scandinavian Denmark and Norway and to the extent that Iceland is considered Finland is not considered a Scandinavian country but people will often use Finland. That is absolutely correct. I don't know exactly why that should be the one criterion. The great majority of deaths in Sweden took place in nursing homes, the Swedes acknowledged that. In fact the Swedes make that known, they're not proud of it. It was a nursing home problem that they had not addressed. And I am no youngster, and I fully acknowledge that as tragic as every death is at any age. There are there are levels of tragedy. When you have lived beyond the life expectancy, you are blessed. But it is not the same tragedy as a 50 year old. It's just. Everybody listening knows that. That doesn't mean people are expendable. It means that we use our brains to understand what is a tragedy and what is sad. To me, and I'd like to know if Sweden allowed it, I don't know. I'd like to know how many countries did what the U.S. and Canada did. And a forced people to die alone. That to me is worse than death. Death rates are one indication of a tragedy. But pain inflicted deliberately by medical authorities. You can't be with your dying father. Because you can't enter the hospital. Even with a mask on, so the people working here can wear masks, that's fine, but you can't. If you told any person in a hospital who was ill with COVID, during the worst of the pandemic, just want you to know that if your daughter visits you that will increase the possibility of your dying. What do you vote for? Everybody would vote to have their daughter visit. Because they know they're in bad shape to begin with. Anyway, back to the statistics. Sweden compared to all countries in the world, including a vast number of European countries, ranks number 54 in deaths per million. Also, what is particularly important is now we're living now, that is the nature of the human existence we live now. And they're not having any deaths. There, as I mentioned yesterday, they're in the bottom half of the world tied with half the world that is not having any deaths now. But Denmark is having death, the other countries around Sweden are having deaths now. They're not. Sweden, Sweden did not lock down. Did not mandate masks, nothing. They allowed normal life. Kids went to school for a year. Kids under 16. I can't believe I'm saying it, but God bless Sweden. Because it provided the one test case of non panic in the human species last year, and this year. Well, good to be with you all, Dennis prager here. British school cancels Winston Churchill. The names of Winston Churchill, the British prime minister. This is daily wire. It's all over the place. Who guided Britain through World War II and Harry Potter author J. K. Rowling have been axed as school house names at one British school. In an attempt to promote diversity. According to the Belfast telegraph holy Trinity Church of England primary school in Richmond. Has renamed houses honoring Britain's wartime leader and Harry Potter author after football or Marcus Rashford and nurse Mary seacole. The children across school have been keen to change some of the names of the schoolhouses to be more diverse the school explained. You believe that? None of them do you believe that kids kids were just lining up demanding? We are pleased to be able to announce the name changes during black history month. Churchill has been replaced by rashford, and Rowling by seacole. I looked them up, so he's a popular soccer player in these black. Black English, and she was a Jamaican black as well, and did a wonderful work as a nurse for on behalf of Britain. In the Crimean War. Which is lovely. There's no I don't understand. Contemporary soccer player being 20 something years old. Replacing Churchill, and all replacing J. K. Rowling. Of course we all know why she's replaced. She's not a white male after all. She's a white female and identifies as female. Her pronouns are she and her. And what she did was state basically that male that there is a biological distinction between male and female and for that she is considered a hater so sick is the world created by the left. That that has been the reaction to her. The once beloved Churchill has come under fire in recent years in England, with even pictures of the former prime minister being taken off the Winston Churchill memorial trust which will also be remained. Did you know that? Churchill. One of the leading figures of the 20th century. Then who saved Britain and the west from Hitler. From nazism. Bad band. Both rattling and Churchill were targeted at British schools earlier this year as well. Seaford head school in east Sussex in February removed the names of the two. From houses after students complained about them being intolerant. How many students are necessary to complain about intolerance for the cowards that run schools? I assume that if you run any school, you're a coward. I know there are exceptions. Just telling you my assumption. According to the telegraph their names would be replaced by new titles based on local topography. To understand that. Anna St. Augustine beach Florida hello Anna. I have been a huge fan of yours since the mid 90s and I love everything about you. And I'm calling action well, thank you. Let me thank you. Okay, go ahead. Thank you. Huge fan huge fan at turn my whole family on to you as well. So but I wanted to backtrack to yesterday. Yesterday you were talking about how the bigger the government, the smaller the religion. And it made me really think about this Catholic hope. I will confess, I am a Catholic. A conservative. Newly transplanted in Florida from Chicago. We escaped those corrupt politicians recently. But it may be think about the Pope and the Pope so wholeheartedly embraces socialism embraces no senses. I mean, he is so supportive of this liberal agenda. Left this the gentleman. I wish you were a liberal agenda. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, true. And I'm just wondering, how do Catholic meeting the Catholic and I respect your Judaism many friends who are Jewish? I love everything, but how do we reconcile this Pope practicing Catholicism or is he practicing socialism? And I feel in my heart, he is practicing socialism that Catholicism. Well, I have addressed this and have many Catholic listeners, of course. And my heart breaks for believing Catholics. Cultural Catholic separate issue, but the leaving Catholics to have the vicar of Christ on earth a leftist? His religion is leftism. I have no doubt he believes in Christ. I have no doubt he believes in the church. There's no doubt in my mind. But his value system is not Catholicism. His value system is leftism. This is true in Protestant Protestant Christianity. This is true in Judaism. The great majority of non orthodox rabbis are leftists. Not liberals leftists. How many times did I play on this show?.

"1 806 100 KCRW. This is all things considered from NPR news. I'm Ailsa Chang and I'm very Louise Kelly. When President Biden spends the weekend here in Washington, he often attends Mass at Holy Trinity Church in Georgetown. And when he's there, Biden participates in a central part of the service the Eucharist, But there is tension surrounding the sacrament for the most prominent Roman Catholic politician in the US some bishops. Some priests believe that because Biden supports abortion rights, he shouldn't be allowed to receive Holy Communion. And now some American bishops are moving to make that a policy. Not only for the president, but for other Catholic politicians who also support abortion rights. We're going to talk through this with Reverend Stan to alot. He's a priest and an associate professor and Catholic studies at DePaul University in Chicago, and he opposes this policy. Welcome. Thank you. So I want to start with today's news. The Vatican wait on weighed in on this with a warning to the head of the U. S conference of Catholic bishops. What did they say? The sacred Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which regulates Catholic doctrine, beliefs and practices globally. Come on with. I mean, I would say policy and advice that what is needed today is dialogue with Catholic Pro Choice politicians. So one the Vatican is saying is that they should not rush into making sanctions and the weaponizing the sacraments, but rather they should seek for dialogue. Okay, so the Vatican wing and saying slow down If I could take your time with this. How does that square or not? With what? The pope himself What Pope Francis has said the pope. You remember the famous expression off the pope many years ago, I said, Who am I to judge? The pope is telling us that Holy Communion is not a trophy that you grant to a champion. The pope is the reminding us that we shouldn't weaponize the sacrament is not the role of the bishop toe make draconian laws, but rather to inform the conscience to teach people on, then tow, allow the A teaching toe form the hearts and minds off people in their dialogue. So let me jump in and try to figure out how this might Play out. We know The U. S conference of Catholic Bishops has scheduled a meeting. We know it's next month, June 16th. They have plans to vote on a document about this. What? Where do you expect that to go? I will expect that given the polarization, unfortunately within the ranks of the B shops, giving also this cautionary note from the Vatican that the bishops will not proceed in coming up with that kind of policy. Which I think given the fact that we in the mist of a pandemic, why should people just suddenly think that this is the most central issue to address and then I was going to ask? Is this issue front of mind for American Catholics? Is this the priority in a lot of churches? I think that what most Catholics are worried about, and I think most of the Christians and other people of faith is that for the last one year, they have not been able to go to church. Experience community. I think people are worried that many people are still dying and suffering from Cove. It 19 on most important way. I must say this as a Catholic priest. It worries me that when we talk off abortion, we only hearing the voices off an all male hierarchy on May leadership. We are not talking about the experience of the women who have suffered from abortion who had to make that choice. Who's there, carrying the burden off the choice? I like to hear more of the voices of women about this issue. One more question, which is just the very basic one, Whatever the U. S conference of Catholic bishops decides next month Is it binding or do individual churches have some leeway? Because we should stress? It would be very where to turn someone away from communion, right? Yes, definitely. You know, the law in the Catholic Church is that it is the local bishop who regulates the practice and administration of the sacraments in his particle, a church. So in this case, the cardinal archbishop of Washington, D. C. Cardinal, Wilton Gregory has already made it clear that Biden is welcome to receive communion. Churches in the diocese. That is the reverend stand to alot. He is a priest and an associate professor and Catholic studies at DePaul University in Chicago. Thank you for being here. Thank you. Mm hmm. When the pandemic began, and lots of people moved to remote work, some also moved full stop to new places, places they would rather live in far from the offices..

"506 on your wake up call. Okay. If I am 6 40 live everywhere on the I heart radio app. So Karen Travers, I ask you. Did you dig anything this weekend? Did you cut down any trees? Sell anything on offer up. Now we shoveled a little bit. I should say I shoveled. My husband Did the shoveling. I did other help. We had a couple into this. No here yesterday in D. C. It was lovely to the White House is very beautiful, Snowy, but nothing like we're being so sincerely in New York and Boston, Unfortunately, But we'll take what we can get. You haven't had snow in two years here. So nice. Absolutely. I'm playing. Yeah. Joe Biden had a nice quiet weekend in Washington. Not because of the snow. You certainly could have done something yesterday, but he went to Mass at Holy Trinity Church. Endorsed on Saturday night. That is his only public appearance, you know, and this is gonna be a a trend, which is normal what it was like in the Obama and Bush years where the president laid low over the weekend, you put out people on the Sunday political talk shows. We heard some statements from the press secretary over the weekend to news but otherwise it was a quiet weekend and he hit the ground running today back on the covert relief talks. And how are those going? Well, we'll see. After five o'clock today, you know, the president pledged Tomo push bipartisanship in the candidates and then in the transition and now as president, but he also has pledged to get it. Kogan relief package passed and you know Democrats conduce a it Without Republicans. There are ways to do that, and we're starting to see. Congressional leaders say they're moving forward this week, with or without Republicans to today's sort of the first big test for Biden on the bipartisanship pledge when he sits down with 10 Republican senators who've made We're about to make a counter offer to his $1.9 trillion covert relief package. Their offer is $600 billion big sum of money, sure, but only a third of what he is looking for. So here's the question, you know, does he say, Let's work from there. Let's see if you can bump up from the 600,000,600 Billion. Democratic leaders have been dismissive of that, just saying it is nowhere near enough and that they're not going to entertain an offer like that, But it's president. She was Potentially entertaining it this evening with that meeting at the White House, and that just furthers his mantra that we kept hearing where he wanted to work with both sides. And you know the Joe Biden that you have a lot of lawmakers talking about, says he's the guy that works with across the aisle. Mm hmm. Yeah, absolutely. Now the question is, Can you work across the aisle and still get the $1.9 Trillion that you want and that your team is insisting is necessary that you can't break up the bill. You can't make it into smaller things that have to be taken as one giant massive stimulus plan. That's trickier thing because Republicans have said they don't like the price tag. They don't like how wide ranging it is sweeping and ambitious. It is So you know, how do you start to get everybody to meet in the middle? If you're not going to come down from your very high water mark of $1.9 Trillion again, the underlining they don't have to do this Republican. They can try and push this through with just democratic votes. But that is counter to what the president has said he would like to do. We'll see when it real fast when it comes to the digging out, and I know you said you didn't get a bunch of other parts obviously did. How does this go to affecting people trying to get the cove it vaccine right now? Yeah, we're certainly seeing across the Northeast. We're appointments for vaccines are gonna be canceled because it's just not safe to have people out on the road. You can have people waiting in lines outside to get the vaccine so this could impact over the next day or two. The number of people that are getting their had their appointment scheduled, but will not be able to get it off the concerns that just moving around the vaccine because of travel being disrupted already about 1400 flights, Commercial Flights have been canceled because of weather in the Northeast. All right, Karen, thank you. Have a good one. Thanks. Have a great day. Right. Thanks. You too. See you later. That a drum? What was that in the background? Nothing. Now I liked it a little beat behind her. Well, Karen Travers with some. Okay, let's get back to some of the stories coming out of the cave. If I 24 hour news room well, one of the Republicans in Congress who voted to impeach former President Trump has started his own political action committee. Someone needs to tell the truth someone needs to say with history needs to hear. So here I am. A Republican party has lost its way. Illinois Congressman Adam Kinzinger says the Republican Party of his youth was hopeful and inspired him to love his country. But he now says Republicans talk about a dark future and have replaced their convictions with lies and conspiracy theories. Kin zingers new future First leadership PACs says it'll fight back against poisonous extremism. President Biden has scheduled an Oval Office meeting with Republican senators about Cove in 19 relief spending. That's what Karen mentioned. The group of Senators say they're American Rescue plan would be just a third as much as Biden and the Democrats had proposed. Well. Several council members in Huntington Beach have plans to make a former and them a star tap out from his title as Mayor Pro TEM. The vote of No confidence Tonight won't affect Tito Ortiz is rollers councilman, But Councilman Dan comic says Ortiz has not stepped into the role of mayor Pro TEM with honor and dignity isn't wearing a mask is lying from the dais and is scouting, ignorant and ill informed information. Mayor Kim Kerr says it's about Ortiz his actions, not his beliefs. I don't care that he likes Trump. In fact, one of the people that co author The agenda item is also a Trump supporter. They Ortiz is an unnecessary distraction from the city's gold to promote business. Ortiz has not responded to requests for comment in Orange County, Corbin Carson Ko Phi News governor, Newsome has reversed his decision to release a man who killed his wife and unborn child in San Bernadino County. In 1997. Last March, Newsome commuted the sentence of Rodney McNeil San Bernadino County, D. A. Jason Anderson. Has McNeil stepdaughter. Let's see Sam Valentino County, D. A. Jason Anderson McNeil stepdaughter, and John and Ken lobbied the governor's office against the release. There obviously are going to be motives and biases by people who are involved in this on either side, Okay, if I news also played a small role when it exposed conflicting information between the governor's office and corrections officials through A public records request. Well, the chemical extracted. This is the strangest story. Ah chemical extracted from an underwater creature called the sea squirt. I was told, it's kind of like a CNN money. Cease court. Is being tested against Cove in 19, a researcher based in California, says the extract called up Linden as approve or proven to be about 30 times more potent. Then rammed a severe in early testing. It targets a human protein that's needed for the virus to replicate, so the sea scored extract is already approved for treating a rare form of cancer. You knew the sea squirt. Karen was mentioning the Chicago in Washington, D. C. Check out Chicago It's digging out from its biggest snowstorm in more than five years, Parts of Lake Michigan got turned to slush over the weekend, and certain areas got more than a foot of snow. Chicagoan. Amy Door says It's its own way that the snow brought her neighborhood together. Everyone just kind of Descended with the snow blowers and shovels and there were teams of people like working on some of the senior citizens houses. Hundreds of flights had to be canceled because of the weather. Now the storm's headed for the Northeast, which with more blizzard potential Well mission. Vallejo has ordered street vendors who sell pro trump anti Biden and anti Newsome merchandise to cover up their vulgar language. The sidewalk shops feature messages like Hath Biden.

"Reverend abraham fleming of what is now called suffolk. So he was from the area of suffolk okay and his essay titled a strange a terrible wonder he wrote quote this black dog or the devil in such a likeness running along down the body of the church with great swiftness. An incredible haste. The people in visible form in shape passed between two persons as they were kneeling upon their knees and occupied by prayer as it seemed wrong. The next of the most at one instant clean backward in so much that even at a moment where they need they strangely died and coke kronos. This is believed to have actually happened weight. Had it strangle them with pies just that it just the way the story is written it ran past them at strangled them as it was running through. The editor runs so fast that like the next twisted their next neck to estes say if he strangled them does he have opposable thumbs if he's a monkey as true. I mean that's where the monkey comes from. This person describes the dog so there was also believed to be a sighting of black and a church in life. Bre in fifteen seventy seven in which another two people died so like down the street and the steeple mysteriously where the scorch scratched marks of black shot could still be seen on the door however this particular citing took place during a thunderstorm and it seems that the steeple at the collapsed during the storm thus potentially being caused by the storm and the scorched scratches may have been from a lightning strike. But we weren't there. What are we want to believe you do. Yeah there's how will we ever know for sure. Is the jersey devil. Just an plex. Their best friends along with the headless pirate. The findings went on to say that they discovered the dog head quote heavily worn teeth in osteoarthritis in his ankle joint all indicating that he was an elderly dog at death and mom so the owner just buried him. Furthermore wilkins pointed out that the skeleton of dog they discovered had been quote laid to rest with care and consideration. And also not now you would bury a fearsome creature that's been terrorizing the countryside thus they concluded that the dog the discovered was a working dog that lived a long life well into retirement and likely had time..

Kenneth Branagh talks 'All Is True'

"Everybody. I'm Peter Travers this popcorn where we tell. You. What's happening at the movies? And we have a movie now called all is true. It is the story of William Shakespeare in his later years. It stars my friend here Kenneth Branagh who also directed it. And did God knows what else, you know? Can I think it's kind of amazing? We were talking a little bit before about when I first encountered you which was you playing a Henry the fifth onscreen, which he directed as well as started Oscar nominations for both things. This was a Henry who was just filled with youth and vigor and was going to take on the world and everything and it was. This fresh vigorous approach to what Shakespeare is. And now, you're playing Shakespeare himself in his later years has that make you feel on usual. Unusual very privileged. Because the in a way, you know, Henry the fifth was a it was an amazing opportunity to have as a young actor, and a sort of virgin filmmaker and really was any possible because there were lots of other equally sorts of adventurous maverick figures in terms of the produces and an all sorts of other people who were taking a chance on me. I remember talking to the late. Great psalm. Go when junior when we were releasing that film in America saying cannot, please please, please. I I know I'm I'm I'm twenty I'm nobody another, but complete can I make two requests on the post police. Could you include two names, one is Judi Dench who I promise you people will know about sued they will know about and the other one pleases William Shakespeare, without whom none of us would be here. Why credit the writer well, just different additional dialogue anyway. But it was he was just too concerned about what was going. To get people into the side. No problem listening to a smart, man. He news who knew his market. But I suppose the send if things I keep sort of saying the same thank yous to people like Judy Dench shoop stuck with me through a journey through shakes. Things have you done with her? I mean we worked about together by seven times. And she's directed me. A couple of times and I've directed her. I've always learned from her and a couple of years ago, we did Shakespeare's play the winter's tale, which was really a prelude to making this film. All is true because she played Pauline a- a woman who speaks truth to power, and she puts my character in that play on a man who makes stupid mistake and loses a child as a result. She puts into the test puts into the sold, and that sort of ten ship became a starting point for Ben Elton thinking about how might Anne Hathaway and William Shakespeare's relation be after twenty years of him being away as the most famous of the agent and coming back to face the family. That's the the whole crux of the story. He's got this wife who he basically has neglected. Fully and two daughters and a dead son memories dealing with. But I always here we know nothing about what really happened in terms of what was going on and Shakespeare's life. So how does this come about that you get to play him at in sixteen thirteen when he's basically retired after the old gulp Peter burns down. He's going on. Well, belts looked at the existing facts factual as we knew them that appear in the Public Record Office. And so you'll find that on on a day in June of sixteen fourteen Joan lane stood up in the church. Holy trinity church in Stratford, and he called Shakespeare's daughter a whore. And he said she had gonna RIA and that she was sleeping with the a man who was not her husband. This is in public record quite clear. Everybody knew about it created a sensation because Shakespeare was returning celebrity and in the case of of someone so creatively prolific to come back to a tiny town. And a long way from London, and and after thirty seven plays in a great success workout, what to do even let alone what to say to a wife and daughters, who as you say been neglected, and who have if you think of in terms of the plays that he wrote we're to have plenty to say about what he might or might not have done or said in his terms. He's gonna he's gonna come to terms with how that sits, you know, the the this idea of what it's like for genius to deal with old and rely was also in the in the core of what we were trying to look at Ben Elton who did this works on in a very humorous way. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yeah. But that's it. He's coming up and people are saying who the hell are you, you know. And I think what again one of the fascinating about Shakespeare's. How elusive he is. You know, there are probably about twenty five about him in the public record of his places. He was things that happened during the course of his life, but many people find it hard to join the. The idea of the fellow we present who may not have gone to drama school comes from a relatively lower class and REO in small country town and goes off into the world and can write plays about Rome and Egypt. And and it's Lee, and and and politics and religion and do so without having had the classical education without being as whether classical idea of genius, lured by remand bad and dangerous to know living glamorous life of public scandal. That sound great. I'd buy some of that. But Shakespeare seems to go pups, you know, exemplify what flow BAC, hold when he described the autistic life and said, you need to be boys watering, your private life and revolutionary in your creative life, and you might argue that about Shakespeare, but but that that that's sort of contradiction tension between the ordinary man and the man capable of extrordinary creative output to me you so touching so point. So Shakespeare because he he often in his own. Own place. He pulls the rug from under the feet of grandiloquent people saying, you know, what? In the end, you're all going to need company. You're going to need help at the end of your life. You're all going to require a you're all you need a support that comes from very simple contact with human beings. It isn't all about being some grand Queen or king. Even if he writes, very well about them his genius. I think he's writing about the nitty gritty in love, isn't it? Yeah. It's kind of amazing that in terms of film television. Whatever we don't really get that much of him. We really don't. So you I'm watching this. And I'm thinking, okay. Here's the he's coming home that heroes coming on, and nobody really wants them. Yes. Everybody's white says really, you know. And also that they were illiterate, basically, women just weren't taught obsoleted. So so a lot Benneton I think to give a modern voice in the film to women who. Had not been listened to. And it didn't matter to them that father, even then was lauded as the as the poet of the age, his, you know, clear and present responsibility as a parent, and as a husband with something that they they challenge, and and they challenge indeed as most families experience, even with the most high-achieving mother or father out there in the world being spectacular comeback to your own, you know, kitchen table, and you're just a member of that family and people are are unimpressed in the tension. That accrues is important one of the things I admire about Shakespeare is that he does come back to stop. But he does he does. He does fess up. You know, he he they stay married, and we investigate and explore the idea of what what it meant when this is true in in Shakespeare's will he left his wife? His second best bed and many people. Regard this great slight or a snob or in front. We take a different view that might have that might actually be a layer of meaning in that that suggest Papp's. It's a it's more than a friendly.
