"Is that where Robin Laura used to live Did you watch the Dick Van Dyke show I know I know of the Dick Van Dyke show And they lived in New Rochelle right Yeah right down the street from where I lived And I think Norman Rockwell is from New Rochelle Is that right You know I don't know I'm pretty sure By the way Greg I just want to clarify for our younger listeners When you say hooker headers I don't think a lot of I don't think everyone knows what you're talking about Now the hair pipes If you had a 1968 judge GTO there's a good chance you had hooker headers on The header pipes come down from the cylinders and go into the exhaust manifold Now the kids today won't know that because you don't need an electric car as you pointed as you point out But you know what I think is interesting They are owned by Holly which I didn't know Oh Holly Carter Three of our listeners are into that So we got into car talk before Barry I apologize All right Greg Jerry thank you so much Let's bring in our next guest please Isabelle winkles CFO of braze That's a publicly traded company symbol BRZ about $5.8 billion in market cap They are cloud based software company Isabelle thanks so much for joining us We're not going to ask you any car questions but we love to just start with talk to us about braise What do you guys do Where do you fit into that technology stack as a kid say Yeah thank you for having me So bray is as a leading comprehensive customer engagement platform that powers interactions between consumers and the brands that they love So with brave global brands can power contextually relevant personalized cross channel marketing campaigns that build lasting high value relationships between these brands and their consumers Hang on I gotta get my millennial dictionary out here to understand what you're saying And also you know what I only interact with brands that I hate for the most part on social media Is that does that make me unusual I usually reach for social media when somebody's really made me angry typically in airline That's funny So the brands that we are that we service are really across multiple industries We service brands in retail and ecommerce beyond demand space media entertainment and streaming or within the financial services sectors We're incredibly broad We service about a different industries globally And so it's less about the interactions that happen on social media and more about the first party relationship that is built between yourself as a consumer and the individual brand but actually you want to develop a relationship with And you are willing to download that app gauge on a global site at a website And you're actually hoping to really get as much out of that brand as possible And that brand wants to develop that that's genuine relationship with you and needs a message you in a way that feels relevant actionable personal and timely So what kind of brands do you typically work with at braze I mean I'd love to get a sense of just kind of like your typical client Yeah so again across a dozen different industries I was in the U.S. and outside the U.S. about 40% of our revenue comes from outside the U.S. but maybe the best thing is to give you a customer example And I'll actually pick one that's kind of outside of the traditional kind of retail sector and one that's outside the U.S. so a company called canva This is a software as a service company based in Sydney Australia And they actually offer online design and publishing platform And their mission is really to empower everyone in the world to basically be able to design anything and publish their content anywhere So they came to us and they bought braise and what they were really looking to do was to better support this vast design community around the world And they wanted to be able to produce more targeted and helpful content to their various users They needed a way to reach billions of users across the globe with this more relevant information tailored to their local interests and they needed to do it numerous languages So as the solution and grace Howard this they executed an email campaign that actually increased their overall email distribution but actually managed to increase the overall click through rate and engagement rate And they were able to do this in a way that targeted their users with highly relevant content They were able to do it in multiple languages to be as relevant to the applicable And what that does is really make the end users feel like canva is actually paying attention to what it is they want what it is they need And it helps to build that trust and that ongoing relationship in terms a casual user into potentially much more of an evangelist which is really what the brands are looking to do over the long term Yeah absolutely It seems like it would take a lot of personnel What kind of growth will kind of employee base are you looking at So we our company has over a thousand employees And we've been growing several hundred employee headcount year over year And so our growth has been material in terms of our top line That's kind of fast our top line growth We've been growing more than 50% You can see our most recent quarter We were north of 60% year over year growth in the quarter The market opportunity that is ahead of us is just cereal We talked about a $16 billion Tam in the U.S. alone that's a huge market opportunity We're a company that's operating in sort of the $200 million revenue range at the moment We're so early in our ability to continue to penetrate the market the growth opportunities material Isabel thanks so much for joining us and explaining bray's and what you do is about winkles there She is the chief financial officer of braised ticker BRZ Let's go down to Washington D.C. now.
