"The Maison with Kevin Nation. For anyone who works in sales. They know one of the biggest challenges is handling all the potential customer or client objections. You've got to be able to think through them, be ready for them, and prepare with the right answer course, sometimes people just create objections, just for the sake of creating objections, they really don't want to buy in the first place. I've noticed a similar pattern when it comes to getting the coronavirus vaccine. There are some people who are just anti-vaxxers, although I've never understood why? Because their reasoning tends to shift, I realize we're going into an area where we really don't understand the science behind it. But I've also seen two people saying, well, I'm going to get one then, the Johnson Johnson vaccine has a slight hitch, has a slight problem that people use that as an excuse for not getting one, even though there are other vaccines. I realize some people as a political Ploy that's just the fact of the matter of the world, we're living in right now. I know that the government can force us to do things and people don't want that but is that the best solution is the right solution? What's proper? Are we really handling objections here dead?

The Alcatraz Story

"It's time for another installment of sea hunt. It's still alive here on scuba shack radio. This time. we're going back to episode one of season two and it was titled the alcatraz story this episode premiered on january fourth nineteen fifty nine at the time. Alcatraz was still very much an operation as a prison and it did not close until march of nineteen sixty three. The alcatraz story starts off with a scene of several convicts breaking rocks on the cliffs of alcatraz when all of a sudden one of the convex Falls in and then you see him. Swim-down before surfacing when the guards fish him out but wait. There's a mysterious fishing boat. The olympia watching what's happening. The convict circling is arm as if he's signaling fishing boat the scene shifts to the boat and three guys say they need to find mike nelson. Now we're underwater with mike nelson and he's testing flares for company. When all of a sudden an anchor comes crashing down dangerously close to him and an a skin. Diver comes diving down. Mike is really mad. And he's ready to chew him out when he gets to the surface but they get to the surface in all the guys start apologizing and they say they've came a long way to see mike and mike ask them why to bury mitzi no. They introduced themselves as the brand brothers. Larry johnny and frank they claim to be abalone divers and need to to learn how to scuba dive so they can find the abalone. Mike advises them on the law. But they say hey there lotto buying brothers so he agrees to teach larry and johnny how to scuba dive for three hundred dollars. And we're going to start tomorrow morning at eight thirty. But mike tells them any of them goof off. It's over so the next morning they're out diving. Mike says they're easy to teach. He's going over the equipment the safety procedures in the buddy system underwater now. They're in triples doubles and singles tanks. Bit of everything after their first lesson which by the way lasted five hours underwater and they were below sixty feet might tells the brothers no more diving while he heads back to town jeep to get the tanks fill and he gives them a book on scuba diving. Do read larry tells mike okay teach will be good he had. That's not gonna happen. Mike returns to find the boat empty. And there's bubbles in the water. Larry johnny or diving again just franks shows up and mike and frank get into a fight before mike knocks him down gets into his gear and enters the water to retrieve the two brothers before they kill themselves. Mike finds them underwater. And it looks like they're doing something like the dive master gear exchange. Now they take off and mike goes in hot pursuit for some reason. Johnny turns around rips. Mike mask off. Mike has defined it. Put it on and clear it. Just in time to find larry running out of air. Mike grabs larry and buddy breathes with him to the surface now. Mike is really mad. Schools over another five minutes and all their problems would have been over. They'd be dead his advice. Don't play games with the ocean. The brothers gibb tell mike. They were just practicing. What was in the book. Mike gave them. Mike doesn't really believe them but they take off and as the boat depart mike find frank's wallet on the pier. Apparently he lost it. Doing to fight with mike. He's not frank brennan but frank bronson the plot thickens. Wonder if my god is three hundred dollars the scene now shifts to fisherman's warf and mike is getting the low down on the bronson brothers. They haven't been abalone fishermen for years and there's a fourth brother mark now mike looking for their boat but he spots it on often abandoned peer in oakland and decides that he needs to scuba dive out to see what's up. The board is empty. But before mike can get on board the three bronze brothers show up his only option. Hide under the boat when the engine starts. He grabbed a dangling. Bow-line and hitches a ride. They're up to no good. The pressure is tremendous as he hangs on an fears of the blades of the prop behind them. But the boat finally slows then stops. And larry johnny jump in on scuba and have an extra set a gear. What's going on. Mike surfaces and sees their right off alcatraz. It's two against one. Nothing new for mike nelson. He follows them down to some rocks underwater where they deploy a surface buoy. Then we see a convict one zero nine eight six. That would be mark bronson. He died into the water now. Mike gets it as he sees the convict getting into a wet suit. And putting on the gear. Mike shoots a flare off to signal. The guards on alcatraz hoping it works. Mike is now fully rigged mask wetsuit. Tank regulator weight belt and knife and their high tailing it off against a strong title current. But larry turns and he spots mike. He's going to fight a rearguard action while johnny and markswoman. It's a knife fight. And it's a good one larry's tough clever and slippery but might get behind. Him cuts his air hose and brings him to the surface. And that's where we see. Mike's knife into larry's first stage. The flare did its job. And there's a patrol boat from the island coming on the scene that's one bronson in the bag on the boat. They followed the brothers bubbles and when they catch up mike dies back in lights off a flare and pokes it at the brothers and another massive underwater fight breaks out mike pulls off marks masks shuts air off and shoves him johnny he then puts johnny in a stranglehold and brings the two brothers to the surface. Mike has thwarted escape attempt. Larry says on the boat. It was a pretty good scheme. Yeah mike doesn't think so. Wow this first. Episode new year was jam packed with some great underwater fight scenes. I guess they really wanted to get everyone excited about the show again. And you most definitely will recognize johnny bronson. That was leonard. Nimoy yes mr spock. He shows up again. So that's the alcatraz story from nineteen fifty-nine the first episode of season. Two of seon. Hope you enjoyed it. I'll be back again soon with another installment of seon. It's still alive here on scuba shack radio.

Serving vehicles. The multi million dollar event came complete with an orchestra dancers, a massive police escort and a visit by the Egyptian president. It reignited talk on social media about the curse of the Pharaohs, which has been blamed on recent events, including a deadly train wreck a month ago and the ship that blocked the Suez Canal for more than a week. Egyptian officials say there is nothing to the curse and the transport went off without a hitch. Amy

Forces to be reckoned with: Afghan peace talks

"Today. Russia will host a conference on afghanistan aimed at supporting the peace process. The talks will bring together the afghan government and representatives of the taliban as well as several international players including america. The meeting comes at a crucial time for afghanistan. Last february following negotiations with the taliban the trump administration agreed to withdraw all american troops by may first of this year on tuesday president. Joe biden told george stephanopoulos of abc news. That america may miss that deadline. I'm in the process of making that decision. Now as to when they'll leave the fact is that very solidly negotiated deal that The president the former president worked out. And so we're in consultation with our allies as well as the government and That decision's gonna be. It's process now likely to take longer. I think a lot longer but may i. It's tough could happen but it is tough because as it stands there are two and a half thousand american troops and a thousand more special operations forces in afghanistan. that's down from a peak of more than one hundred thousand as with its predecessors. Mr biden's administration will be keen to end america's longest war who premature departure could spell disaster. The peace conference being held today in moscow is an attempt to bring together the taliban insurgents and the afghan government to try and come up with some kind of arrangement for how afghanistan could be run in future and therefore stop the war between those two sides. Edward mcbride is our asia editor. This is just one of several peace conferences underway or planned. There's going to be another peace conference in turkey. In april and for months now there have been peace talks underway between the afghan government and the taliban in qatar. And they haven't been making much headway. Which is why. Russia and the. Us have tried these new initiatives and one big question looming over all this is whether or not to the biden administration will fulfil the promise to pull out troops by may first. What does it look like for for that commitment. That deadline was agreed in separate peace talks between america and the taliban concluded over a year ago under the administration of donald trump and it always looked quite optimistic and i think the difficulty for the biden administration is to decide whether or not to stick to that deadline on the one hand if they take all the troops out. The taliban may decide to hell with the peace talks. We'll just try and overrun the afghan government by conquest. And that would obviously look very embarrassing and would call into question all the work that the us has done over the past twenty years to try and institute a different kind of government within afghanistan on the other hand. If they say they're going to stay and ignore the deadline of may i. Then they face the prospect of renewed taliban offensive so then there's the prospect that america will find itself embroiled justice heavily as it has been for twenty years in the afghan civil war more american casualties and more expense and difficulty without any clear prospect of how the war might end but coming to a decision on those questions is exactly what these peace talks are about right absolutely so in theory. The peace talks provide a great way out for everyone. The hitch is that the peace talks that have been underway encounter for many months. Now have not yielded any kind of a breakthrough and unfortunately there's not much reason to expect the talks today in russia or indeed the talks in turkey next month to yield any more of a breakthrough and so why the impasse for what that. They're not getting the bottom line really. Is that both. The taliban and the afghan government think of themselves as the rightful rulers of afghanistan. And they're not really working to their own schedules. Right hold process has been determined by the fact that the trump administration originally but by administration now are both keen to end america's longest war neither within telenor within the afghan government has the sort of internal process of deciding how much they're willing to give up really preceded far enough to meet that deadline of the first of may the way out of the impasse that america has been pushing in recent days is sort of power sharing agreement whereby both the taliban and the afghan government come together to form a government of national unity. Where they both control some ministries. Perhaps they both have some kind of control over the security forces and whilst in that power sharing government they reach some kind of final agreement about a new constitution or a new sort of power structure. The problem is neither side has really agreed to to both are worried about being justice. Sort of adjunct to the real power within a power sharing agreement neither side is very comfortable sharing power with the other because they've been fighting for so long and what about that. Fighting now has the taliban been honoring its side of the agreements. The have been made while the peace negotiations are going on right so there. Lots of people who think that the taliban just isn't sincere about this whole process that it's got an advantage on the battlefield that the area under the government's control keeps shrinking. The taliban is just waiting for america to go before it pushes it should vantage and certainly even though the taliban agreed not to attack american troops it never agreed not to attack the government troops and it continued its campaign and even in a certain sense increased it insofar as there have been a series of tax representatives of civil society the kind of urban elite in kabul assassinations bombings. The taliban sometimes denies being a part of but the one suspects. It's behind the taliban. I think see this violence as their strongest card. The government has to negotiate. Because it's very much under the cosh from the town of forces on the ground but that bloodshed also makes it really difficult for america just to up sticks and go right now because it really does look like america's abandoning the afghan government to its fate. And so do you think that points to the biden administration. Being rather forced to delay any troop withdrawals. I think what america's looking for is some kind of middle way where the talks seem to be making enough progress or there's some kind of idea of where we're headed that they can agree with the taliban a bit of an extension and not actually have to stick to that deadline of the first of may but also not have to sort of down on backing the afghan government with a renewed troop presence. I think the instincts of the biden administration really similar to the instincts of the trump administration. They don't really think that it's going to be possible to build a strong modern nation state in afghanistan. They don't want to be embroiled in a war. That just drags on forever. So i think the by administration is looking for any way can to get the troops out of afghanistan and without the afghan government collapsing or some kind of horror unfolding in terms of an escalation of the civil war. The thing we don't know is whether the taliban is willing to sort of provide the biden administration that option and give substance to all these different peace talks or whether it thinks after twenty years it has finally beaten america and it does indeed intends to take over the country as soon as the american troops are gone. We still don't quite know the answer to that question. And that's what all of this hinges on

Restaurant owners fear government assistance will not help their business

"Down any street in New York City brings plenty of sounds. In this most unusual year. It's also brought some previously unseen sites. This street in Manhattan, features one restaurant with plexiglass dividers between tables, a block away. Diners at another restaurant, setting tables on the street in an area blocked off from traffic by a wooden partition. Welcome to the world of restaurants in the age of covert 19, and while diners are having to adjust Restaurant owners people they employ are facing at times existentially threats to their businesses across the river in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, Danny owns Mr Bruno's, a popular Italian restaurant when the virus first started, it was very difficult are Pickup or pick up business or delivery business. It all went down. And then a few weeks later, it actually picked up to where it was before the virus. And then after that, I would say about two months ago. We're probably doing more deliveries and more pickups. But you know, the dining experience isn't there, he says. That's been a lifeline. But how long can a restaurant survive with that business model? I always said that I would lose less money, staying home and closing the doors. But Figured that wasn't a good look. It's basically you know, just not making any money, you know, basically breaking even. We're sitting inside of Mr Bruno's in person. Dining is still prohibited in New Jersey. Earlier in the summer, the state had signaled that restaurants would be able to open at 25% capacity indoors in early July. But just days before indoor dining was set to resume, Governor Phil Murphy announced a change in course as of late August. A new date has not been announced. Danny doesn't think it would come before October. And he says that expanding outside has not been a seamless process, the governor said. We're going to do everything in our power to let you use parking lots and close streets and you know things like that permission was given to expand part of their existing outdoor area. But he said that also did not go off without a hitch. Wouldn't some barricades delivered of there's graffiti on they were filthy. And all for, like, four tables and like, just take him out of here. So Mr Bruno's is moving forward with some outdoor dining and continued take out service. People that order for Mr Know Our food is good. You know, we're not really a pizzeria, where a restaurant So our food is very good. So the people have no that they're ordering good food.

Project Rainbow and Flying Saucers

"To kids myths and mysteries. I've your host. Kent chrome today rothwells theory. I'll begin with three assumptions. That most theorists can agree on first that flying saucer did crash near roswell new mexico in july nineteen forty seven second that bodies were recovered from the crash site and third that there are scientists working on projects that are rated above top secret and the us government and military branches are not privy to the thread. That connects the pieces of this theory. Is that the security team surrounding these super top secret. Scientific projects has access to the best technology in the field of stealth investigation and manipulation and are possessed of the ability to control all branches of military as well as federal government with the purpose of keeping these projects secret. Only the purpose of this theory is to establish not just a flying saucers crashed near roswell bodies were retrieved but the source of the flying saucer the nature of the crew and the evidence that security teams protecting various super top secret projects were involved to understand the crash of flying saucer at roswell nineteen forty seven we need to go back four more years to nineteen forty three and parallel projects intended to bring world war two to an end. The project brought to fruition was dubbed. Little boy it was the first atomic bomb. The one that was dropped on hiroshima the first control nuclear reaction was in one thousand nine hundred forty two at the university of chicago's reactor and rico firm oversaw the first controlled energy release from the nucleus of an atom after intense effort. The oakridge plant in tennessee began to produce bomb-grade us to thirty five from nineteen forty two to nineteen forty five manhattan project continued progress toward the end result an atomic bomb now. The parallel project. I mentioned was dubbed project rainbow on august twelve nineteen forty-three. It was leaked. That the us navy conducted a test of some sort on the uss eldridge a d. e. class destroyer at the philadelphia navy yard. The exact nature of this test however is open to speculation that tasks or tests were conducted but only produced undesirable results afterwards. the project was supposedly cancel. Not as the public was led to believe because it failed. But because the manhattan project was moving ahead without a hitch but project rainbow was not only not cancelled. It was not an attempt to make the. Us eldridge invisible nor was his project conducted by the navy. It was simply the a naval vessel was chosen as a guinea pig. The name rainbow was attached to the project because of the nature of a rainbow to start at one point ended another. It was determined that if the navy vessels could be transported from an allied area to a battle zone in a matter of minutes that it could turn the tide of the war project. rainbow was based on is stein's theory on the space time continuum too. Massive tesla coils which acted as electromagnetic generators were utilized. One was mounted forward mounted aft. Other accounts state. Their series of generators called gaza's were us when activated. The electromagnetic field would extend out from the ship when the actual test was put into motion. A number of unexpected. A bizarre side effects occurred as the electromagnetic field increased in strength to begin to extend this for out as a hundred yards from the ship in all directions. Forming a large spear within this field to ship became fuzzy and indistinct and agrees hayes formed around the vessel obscuring it from view eventually the only visible object was the outline of the whole of the eldridge where it entered the water then to the amazement of onlookers. The entire ship vanished from view. It was at this point. The vanishing of the alridge that the true power of electromagnetic field that had been created was revealed. Eldridge had not only banished from the view of observers philadelphia. It had vanished from philadelphia altogether. This ship had been instantly transported several hundred miles away from philadelphia to norfolk virginia. And this was the goal after a few minutes. The ship once again banished to return back to philadelphia the failings of the task to become purposefully obscured and vague. As was the intention of the team that was in charge of keeping project. Remember secret secure. Little boy was dropped on hiroshima august. Six one thousand nine hundred forty five and twenty two days later. Japan's surrender in world. That was poised to sunset at the end of the year was gonna end and they've extended The only extended it for a month. Now they can't keep extending that stuff. You know, it's kind of funny, but he's saying, although the ritual Adler the money's landlords make their money that's their revenue stream. Is that you pay rent, and then they make their house payment and then hopefully at the end of the You know, when all is said and done, they have a bunch of properties that they can sell them. They can go retire. That's the goal of a lot of people, especially lot of people who want a lot of properties, homes and the like, and they have been able to collect rent. And they haven't been able to evict anybody, which means they haven't been able to make their house payments. So they're running into problems, too. So to extend this for only a month and add about $25 billion in rental rental assistance to it, That's I don't see how things balance out there. I think they're hoping for a lot of happiness. But that's one of the things in this. That That leads me to believe that this is not the last stimulus bill because if he if they think that they're going to put $25 billion on the table, and they're only going to extend the eviction moratorium until January, 31st the country's not opening back up. Completely. My other sister in law who works in retail, and she's not back to work yet and isn't even on the list to go back to work yet you still technically an employee, but she's not on the list to go back to work yet. So if they think they're gonna extend things on Lee until the 31st, which is literally one month From the last in the last election moratorium, and then I don't see how that's going to work. I have to do something else or provide some more money. Otherwise, how much people gonna get kicked out on the street and trust me? They're not gonna allow that to happen. We're gonna do everything in our power to keep that from happening under Biden's watch unless they can find a way to blame it on Trump, and this may be what does that by the way? They might be able to say well trouble. He signed this thing, and now we're trying to work and that's the way it goes now. The legislation notably excludes two of the thorniest issues which have plagued negotiations for months, funding for state and local governments. And a liability shield for businesses against court. Coronavirus. Really that lawsuit, the 11th hour deal that would reach last night comes after days of meetings on Capitol Hill. Between all the power players there. There's some other issues here is well. They're talking about where they're trying to figure out when the check will arrive when you're going to get the payment now. Mnuchin Treasury Secretary's sexually Steve Mnuchin said today that he expects Americans will start receiving the stimulus checks as early as next week. Everything will get, you know has to get voted on and sign still, But if it does, the last process took over a month or maybe a couple of months. I think in March When everybody acted and see that your first round of payments wasn't acted on March 27th and taxpayers direct deposit information was already on fire with the areas. They started receiving their payments in mid April, so it's a couple of weeks. Um, And if they've got your direct deposit information already in play, then if you do if you're not one of the don't think that many people did, but received an actual paper check. I don't know why you would do that if you didn't have to. But a lot of people still don't trust the magic of computers. So that's a possibility there. But they according to Mnuchin, they could start receiving the stimulus money as early as next week now. The only wrench of that that I could see is the people who have aged into it, or, you know, moved into the receiving of things during this past year during the past nine months, they're the only people that could be a hitch for that, too. But for everybody else, like May I got money. Um And I got 1200 bucks. My wife and I got 2400. I think in a little bit for my son. He gave me for my daughter. That was a funny thing. My daughter was a sophomore in college. 19 years old. She was 20 by then so 20 years old. We have nothing for her, And I don't think she got anything. So there was like a vacuum there a little hole of people who didn't get it, but everything they already have the information. So like, you know, everybody is gonna get money and I imagine I'll still get something It could be in there next week that the payments In the bill will be the second round of direct payments that the Congress has made again for the first run. In March. People got $1200 per adult and $500 per child s O. It's about half what you would have gotten last time. Around, and that's another thing. I don't see. I don't really get is that the last round People couldn't pay the rent couldn't buy food because they couldn't work couldn't make a built bill payments, insurance payments and like on nothing's gotten better, really. Overall, some things have gotten a better Some people have gone back to work. But overall, not much has gotten better. So we're gonna be the less money. We're gonna get people half Again. These air things. This is the cynic in me. On. I just look at things like this, and I got another message. You know they're messing around, and the Senate committee is looking at this and saying Not much has gotten better. We're still months and months and months away from everything turning backed away. It's too the way it's supposed to be two life getting back to some semblance of normal. Out there. So we're gonna get people half assed, much money that says to me that they are banking on at least one more stimulus, probably more if things don't get back back to normal until probably the fall. If you're going

Keith Morrison reads Dr. Seuss How The Grinch Stole Christmas

"How the grinch stole christmas by dr seuss. Every who down in whoville light. Christmas a lot but the grinch live just north of veal did not the grinch hated christmas whole christmas season. Please don't ask why no one quite knows. The reason it could be as head wasn't screwed on just right it could be. Perhaps his shoes are too tight. But i think that the most likely reason of all may have been that. His heart was two sizes too small. Whatever the reason is hard or shoes. He stood there on christmas eve. Hating the who's staring down from his cave with a sour grinchey frown. The warm lighted windows below on the town for he knew every who down in whoville beneath was busy now hanging mistletoe wreath and they're hanging stockings. E snarled with a sneer. Tomorrow is christmas it practically here. Then he growled with his grinch figures nervously drumming. I must find some way to stop christmas from a main for tomorrow. He knew all the who girls and boys would wake brighton early. They'd rush for their toys and then whole the noise show the noise. Doi's noise noise. That's one thing. He hated the noise. Noise noise noise. Then the who's young and old would sit down to a feast. And they feast on they feast and they feast. Feast feast feast. They would feast on who pudding and rare who rose beast which was something that grinch couldn't stand in the least and then they do something he liked. Leashed all every who down in whoville. The tall and this mall would stand close together with christmas bells ringing. They'd stand hand in hand and who's would start singing. They'd sing sing sing. sing sing. Sang and the more the grinch thought of the who christmas saying the more the grinch thought. I must stop this whole thing. Why for fifty three years. I've put up with it now. I'm must stop christmas from coming. But how then he got an idea. An awful idea the grinch gonna wonderful off idea. I know just what to do. The grinch laughed in his throat and he made a quick santa claus hat and a coat and he chuckled and clucked. What a great grinchey trick with this code in this hat. I'll look just like saint. Nick all i need a reindeer. The grinch looked around but since reindeer are scarce there were none to be found. Did that stop the old grinch. No the grinch simply said if. I can't find a reindeer make quan instead. So he called his dog max then. He took some red thread and he tied bighorn on the top of his head. Then he loaded some bags and symbols empty sacks on a ramshackle sleigh and he hitched up old. Max then the grinch said got up and the slaves started down toward the homes. Where the who's they snooze in their town all their windows were dark quiet. Snow filled the air. And the who's were all dreaming sweet dreams without care when it came to the little house on the square. This is stop number one. The old grinchey clause est any climbed to the roof. Empty bags his fist then. He slid down the chimney around tight pinch but if santa could do it then socal the grinch he got stuck only once for a moment or two then. He stuck his head out of the fireplace flu where the little who stockings all hung in a row. These stockings grin are the first things to go. Then he slithered and slunk with a smile most unpleasant around the whole route and he took every president. Pop guns bicycles roller-skates drums checkerboards tricycles popcorn plums. And he stuffed them in day than the grinch buried nibley stuff dole the bags one by one then. He slumped to the ice box. He took the who feast. He took a who pudding. He took the roast beast. He cleaned out the icebox. Quick flash way the grinch even took the last can of who hash

Organic Traffic Strategies To Grow Your Audience Quickly

"An excellent first. Date is kinda like attracting organic traffic. You wanna show up authentically so that your audience can you and if all goes well you want them to come back for more and if you show up time and time again and you build a relationship and hip hit things off in time you might want that person to commit to a long term relationship aka subscribe to your email list and eventually become a loyal customer so you see the connection right if you want to attract organic traffic. You've gotta show up authentically show up like yourself right from the get-go be real. Listen more than you talk and really make the time for your audience and then from there show up consistently build that relationship add value. Make your audience's lives better and well. I wish there was. There just isn't a magic bullet for growing your business with organic traffic instead. It all goes back to something. I've been preaching for as long as i can remember consistency. if you're not showing up consistently at least in one place. The strategies we talk about today won't work. I don't want this to discourage you. I say that to get you to commit to creating consistent content. I don't care if that's a blog or podcast or youtube video or facebook live or instagram live. It doesn't matter what matters is that every week. You're building that credibility and dependability. For new en- loyal followers. Because it's one thing to podcast weekly decree to lead magnet. That's enticing to your ideal customer but what if you're just starting now just because you're creating content consistently in you have an awesome free. Be to put out. There doesn't automatically mean your ideal customers are going to easily find you like that and magically jump onto your email list. I'm snapping emphasis there. I wish the old saying build it and they will come true but in the world of online marketing you have to go out there in capture attention. So commit to these three strategies. I'm going to share with you. Commit to showing up and commit to growing your business deal. Let's dive in the first strategy. Is all about hitching yourself to other experts publications or established influencers in your area of expertise. And don't you worry. I'm gonna give you an example of just how to go about pitching yourself even if you're just starting out now here's some ways you pick yourself as a guest. However this is not an exhaustive list and various for every industry. But it should give you an idea and get your creative juices flowing now. You could guess blog. You could be on someone else's podcast. You could join someone on their instagram or facebook. Lives or maybe you get featured in a media outlet. But here's the deal first step you wanna sit down and brainstorm all the possible businesses and experts that you could connect with depending on your niche. Maybe you want to spot in parenting magazine or maybe yoga lifestyle. Or perhaps you're a social media expert and you want to be interviewed by jasmin star on our podcast or you're in the finance industry and you want to join rachel cruze for facebook live. You get the point. I say big now to make this happen. We have to start with your pitch angle and how you'll position yourself. It's always important that you lead from a place of service and give a ton of value instead of making your pitch about yourself. Make sure to make it about their audience in terms of what their audience wants and what will resonate with their audience. The most but good news. If you come from a place of service right from the get go you will stand out. Among all the other pitches that they are getting on a daily basis. Now in addition you'll want to take your story or your expertise and make it specific to that publication or audience. So this is really important. Your pitch should be timely relevant. That means do your research take at least a week to do a full immersion. I don't mean the entire week. Just take some time throughout the week to do a full immersion into their content and into their audience. Get to know them on an intimate level. Here's how the pitch yourself and just know. I have a free resource with a pitch email. Template in the show notes. So go to amy dot online forward slash three five to amy dot online forward slash. Three five two. Now also. if you're nervous just remember that if you never ask it will never happen. The worst thing is that they could say no. And you're not gonna die. You're

Sure false red knots born in brazil and they are so into their habitat that they never fly further away than five kilometers from their nests. What do you think Well if you said fulls you're right. The red not in fact born in the arctic this colorful hand piper is a striking bird with terra. Cotta orange gold and black feathers. Retinoid start their lives. Eggs and nests building. "So everyone my friends and I used to play a game called Mash and it was the game to play back in the day. That would determine your future. You ever play at age Yes I'm a recreational masher master back in the day you know how we did at elementary was. We would have categories like people to marry how many kids you'd have. What car you drive the EH. I mean we would do it back when I was in school but we have like a designated person like it was this girl and she would just do the mashes for everybody like everybody will come up to her. Like y'all how's my life going Pan Out? And then she would like to choose us like they did like show you how it would go But any of those things actually work out for you mark I'm not married to my good crush last. I checked. It's okay because I've still got time and I know that's true because the other day I read that people aged eighteen thirty five are getting married later in life. Anyway so okay. I don't know about that but you still want to get married right. I do too and we also know that not everyone feels the same way in is really about that marriage life so to lay out. Different feelings on millennials across the board. And how they feel about marriage we've got guests from opposite sides of the country and opposite sides of how they feel about getting hitched. So I'm going to introduce everyone and after your introduction I say Nay or ID K for the sake of rhyming so from Seattle Washington we have Ginny Sarno. They are a freelance podcast consultant. Who was also fun? Fact Merck's first editor ever Jenny. How you doing? And how do you feel about putting a ring on it? I'm doing pretty good. We have Sunny Day here today. Which is novel. Oh Wow and I think. The reason I'm here is that I feel ambivalent about putting a ring on it or having a ring be put on it so I D K here with me. In Oakland California we have Sam Guru an arts and culture journalists and a music manager here at why our media what is Pablo and Sam. And how do you feel about jump in the old boom? I'm on the fence slash. No you know. Marriage is a huge commitment. And I'm a guy we have commitment issues. So that's how I feel about that. Yeah all right. And last. But not least all the way from New York. We have co host of the friend zone podcast. Francesca Aka friend going. In what are your thoughts on? The old vol enchaine scorn. Good I'm going to say I D K. But it's you know it can it can go towards Nair. Yea I think be based on who I meet. That makes me feel inspired to pick okay. So let's start off this conversation in a big way. You know those big grand proposals that happen at Disneyworld or baseball games. What's your take on big gestures like that? And how does that tie into your view of marriage? All sort I'm anti-big grant proposals Like I don't know if I'd even do it in front of family. That's something I'd probably do with like just me and my partner. Grandpa foles was way too much attention. And it's like if I don't get the green light or we haven't had this conversation prior it's like I'm not just good note on on the jumbotron like that's that's GonNa be a viral moment forever. Yeah Hey what about you? Honestly I think it would depend 'cause I've definitely been in relationships where we probably do that just to joke you know because we know we hate it and it was funny as how it was somewhat you behind me. You know there are people that Put a lot of energy into how the relationship is perceived from the outside And so you know if they're doing grand jesters. Things aren't really feeling as grand then. I might have a problem with it Jenny for myself. I'd say no just because it's not really my style. I'm more of a private person for other people. They should do what they WANNA do. And I I mean I feel like I can enjoy watching those videos as much as anyone. -taining low key like it. Actually I'd Hide Ki- like it. I'm that person who would probably if I won on a contest or as a contestant on a game show like so get done on that knee on the jumbo screen. Let's do it all right so jenny in Fran. You've probably seen more weddings over the years in Nigeria. Have because you've got more friends and peers who've gotten married or not since you're both middle older than us. Do you think age plays a role in how you both you marriage Know what plays a role or would psych affecting the Lens through which I'm viewing. It is just that I have not seen a successful marriage and that's from youth. You know the my family I haven't seen it My friends no shade. I love all of you but I haven't seen it You know and and I'm not saying that I'm expecting people to be rainbows and butterflies. Honest in two worlds meshing is always going to be challenging but I think what happens is if people are so stressed out about the timeframe like the chronological order of things as opposed to be in like. Do you really inspire me to WanNa like Mesh lives with you and I think that's what has made me hesitant because of how society kind especially the women that I grew up around. They already had their dresses picked and the color scheme of the bridesmaid's before the man even came in the picture so it became a thing of who is there during the timeframe of when I'm ready to be married as opposed to meeting someone and being like. Hey you make me feel this way is the way you felt about marriage as a kid the same way that you view it today. I mean I have to say For a long time I was a had a hard. No or Nay But the older. I've gotten I've also you know? My excuse was always like what if I haven't seen it doesn't exist also have to take into account my career. I had to be real with myself and wear my resistance was really coming from but I have to also admit that it makes me hesitant because we're living a lot longer. You know what I mean like so you know stuff was different so I do wonder but learned to not limit myself with that Lens. Either because life has been completely unexpected creatively. So I can't think that it's not going to be that way romantically. Damn Bar Jenny. How of your experiences growing up also shaped what you think. Yeah I mean I never had that marriage fantasy but I would say my maybe my I have a deeper understanding a different understanding of why I feel that way Compared to twenty years ago when I was first starting to date is. I'm in my late thirties But as I've gotten older gun to know myself in different ways I think what I've realized is probably a lot of that even that it was feeling at that time but he didn't necessarily understand at the time was around gender. Yeah because I I think getting married is a lot about almost like succeeding at Binary Gender. Like being the pinnacle of these SOCIETAL IDEAS ABOUT GENDER. And then like finding that other person who's also succeeding. Those ideals agreed and like being someone who's queer non binary. I think like that. That helps me understand that leg. That's why I really would feel so boxed in by those norms around marriage. That's interesting to me because I'm someone who super excited to get married. Always look forward to it. I got my dress you know planned out in my head but I also am feeling kinda boxed in in some ways but it's more of because of my race and my religion so I'm Catholic and I'm also Vietnamese American neons with Catholicism. You have to get married in the Catholic Church but also with Vietnamese weddings. I think they're more about the the parents and the family more than it is about you and the person that's I've kind of feel the same way. I like the opening American so like I grew up going to like a bunch of Ethiopian or reaching weddings and they were all like this huge like it was almost a festival. There's like a thousand fifteen hundred people at a wedding and I'm just like Holy Sneh. Your huge concert. It's like space Zella. But it's usually see like all the parents Kinda like really Super Gung.
