"I've tested this as many times, as I can never changes. It's always less than five or ten percents that actually send it in and your hounding them to get that five or ten if you get it on the spot. And if you're if you're really, aren't you to give away like a free book or something digital book you'll probably get ninety five percent. I usually get eighty percent widowed. Offering anything go of the forms back. So I wanted to add that in but to go back to your question, I would eat a pick up the phone and call them. That was back, then it was pick up the phone call now with having the bio, I might Email, but you could do either or but it's still here's the thing. A lot of people don't realize you're still grinding it out. Yeah. Anybody that says that getting paid Hinode owed engagements and you're starting from scratch, and you're going to be able to build it, and they'll all come unless you have something that goes viral, the odds of that, a very Flynn. So back to that point. I mean, really it was it was, you know, dialing dialing for dollars taking up the phone really what I want to find was not booking. So they knew they would hire me a lot quicker than trying to get paid fee. And I knew early on like that, it'd be better to get the no fee booking and find clients in that room that it would be charged six hundred bucks for a talk. So that was how I started. I really started trying to find those either not bookings where they could get you part of a great audience, like a showcase, you know as as ventured, or I would the other side was that I was reaching out to clients that I work with in the past and trying to get four people can paid booking. I will tell you those early bookings were in the hundred. And so I remember I worked with Jim. It was the first time I said, I gotta place value on my talk. This is one of my first real thought, and it was a local gym, and they own nine fitness location. And I said, here's the deal, I know you're not gonna pay me thousands, but what I want return, instead of that is, I want three gym memberships, I can give declined. And. Testable the only if you like my car. And so we gave me the free testimony or sorry three gym memberships. And then he wrote me, a reference letter which ended up having, like, ten testimony ills in there that I could use a different way. And he was really well-connected guy in town and back started a bit of the momentum. And then I also approach the local community college and had to sell them, which is kind of ironic. I meet teaching sales course by the seldom on it and took a year. But once I got in there, as well, I would have clients that would reach out to them and say, we'd love to come to Corey event. But we can't take everybody there. Is there any way we could bring them in and they are? Absolutely, we don't care. So then all of a sudden they were driving business for me, too. So Steve, I hope that helps at least you know, how that I started, which is I reached out to somebody who could bring me clients, which is the local college. I went to a client who's really well-connected and influence her. And then you know, I want something for my time. And by the way, they hired me over and over again, and might be kept getting higher until I hit their feeling. And then the third side, they did do those calls pick up the phone, whether we're four fees. Or whether it was an association that could bring me into because remember? Yeah, that's helpful. But I don't wanna say about. But next, how do you know what I talk about like I mean Eddie, Jim? Yeah. And, you know, look, I mean I'm I don't know. I mean, I'm in decent shape. But I'm and I'm not like one of those poster children, you see on Instagram should be shot. But, you know like. He I don't know that I would be a good fit for a gym. You know what I mean? Like I'm not Representative of somebody's got three percent body fat. You know what I mean? So, like I don't even know if that would be an option. Like are you talking about? Like, how do you reverse engineer your funnel, I guess, right? Yes. There's your like your. You're like you're, you're looking to talk in front of an audience, but you need that audience to be. That the association that you're speaking in front of might not be your perfect audience. But Tacoma's point the attendees, yeah. Are the perfect audience? Yeah. So what does what does that look like Corey? How do you structure that? Yeah. Yeah. So there there's a couple of inches there, 'cause there's one sided had to how do I fit into let's say a gym, and that type of environment? And so there was two things that work for me. There one I was active in the gym. Now. I wasn't pre percent body fat either. But I was at least in, in your mind in good enough shape, I guess, to be in front of them, but not not certainly to be training with them. But I mean I was at active at the gym. They saw me around the, the theo- new meeting because of that. But in terms of what I spoke on there, no matter, what shape I was in. I mean obviously if I would in their mind, I wasn't near Jim shape at all. Then they might not resonate at all. But I wasn't going into speak about the gym business per se. I would going into talk about sales in general. So I was at that time of being mostly on sale, and I come from a tenure background, we talked about earlier in a very aggressive sailed industry. And so they were looking for somebody to talk about relationship building reading personality, reading jumping to personality type sailed back. So there's a two part answer because I'm one side. There's me talking to the client and seeing what are you wanting, and then I'll know from the fifth. So, in other words that gentleman said, I wanted I wanna pump up our sales team, but I also wanna give them strategy. So in that case, then what I would do is personalize my talk to that situation. But there's the other side is then to the point of Ideolology, and then so then it was one of my speaking on. So if I'm picking on personality types, and creating customer experiences that who's a fifth for that. So then maybe it's franchising, let's say because they, you know, they or the franchise themselves, but they're dealing with customer service every day, maybe you know, gas stations anything retail really your hospitality Vic there. So then there's two thousand one is me figuring out who the fate of my park like hell. And then the second part is how to customize my talk for that audience. Or do I cut them is it sometimes that doesn't need to be customized, but that Jim situation because it was active there and had a passion for working out. And they saw me there, all the time that was a good link. And what happened from that which was unintended? Channel is that my ended up speaking to most of the local, whether it was the fitness industry into sales sales like fitness equipment sales, or actual gyms. I ended up pretty much saturating the local market because of that because he was so connected and every, like, beam brought you and we want to bring you in so wouldn't attentional that speaking to people in the fitness industry, that was a sort of a happy by accident. But having said all that to answer your question I think one ahead Pacific talk. But I knew I was a bit four and so I would talk to the client and see if that was a fit, and if it wasn't I wanted to find it. What do they want me coming to speak on? They wanna be coming speak on. Let's say human resource sources or safety and health, I'm not a fit, and I'm not going to try to make myself because I'm gonna do everybody service, so would still really I would still targeting and at that time might target with completely around customer service and sale. So how did they come about that? It really came from my background of being in front of ten thousand customers doing cold. Call for the ten years prior. So I really. Went to what I knew, and I use the thing called the spider method, which I learned it stand up for how to actually craft my cough, which really just on the put, it's just my mapping really. But put it the center of the body of the spider on the page, and then I'd write down. Let's say which company looked at I wanted to work for university. And then I'd write that I wanted to speak on for service, and then what they did what they said, do I have three stories and central points than trying to live her that relate to customer service? And then what I did was through the leg the spider, and those became my story, and I want to leave them with three points and three lessons, and I wanted to have three stories that I could frame them around so that I was doing storytelling for every talk. And so I use back to start crafting those early talk. But I built it around the two things I felt I new sales. So I hope that I hope

"Yeah. I agree with you there. And I think it's very important what you said about alcohol as well, a recovering alcoholic, and I think that outcome hall should be treated the same way as cigarettes have been treated in the sense that shouldn't be allowed to advertise market the way that they do. I mean, most of the commercials we see make it look like it's such a happy celebration. Everyone's having a good time. But it's really all just an allusion reality is, you know, it's destroying lives. It's taking lives. But one good thing about all the technology and alcohol is that this generation of kids. They're not drinking and driving anywhere near the way that we did when I was their age. They're all using Uber. They're all using lift. And that is one of the I drive on the weekends. And that is one of the most encouraging things to see is the college kids right now, they're all using Uber and lift. Yeah. I mean, if you get a DUI in this day and eighty year entity in deserve the penalty in the time that it takes to the classes and stuff. But on the on that note that you just made about alcohol almost being celebrated. I mean, I can't explain how fucking mind buckle. Hinode is to me that you see, you know, this company does it deal with this executive and whatever right. And then you see the cover of every publication. It's two guys cheering champagne glass. And that's that's looked at as like, that's cool. And it's a billion dollar transaction. Then Elon Musk gets on Joe Rogan podcast and hits joint in there like earn on the cross, and they're like he needs to be taken down as, you know, chairman of this company into the public company and its stock tanks. And it's like, wait a minute. What I don't understand. What is what is the difference? Besides alcohol being inherently worse for you. Yeah. I agree with you. And we just had the Super Bowl and all the commercials. I mean, listen, it's bad enough that for the millions of us that do struggle with alcoholism that we have to see that big neon sign with the ice cold beer, printing on it everywhere, you go, but every sporting event that you watch the commercials always have some hot girl in a bikini drinking a beer, it's always a.

I was just reading the stories about World War One because it's the armistice that ended World War One that was going to be the war that ended all wars a hundred years ago this weekend, and you know, you just read the stories about it. And in how we got involved as a nation, and and how this can happen and for for people that don't know the way the United States finally got involved was that the English intercepted a transmission from a German official named Zimmerman. I can't remember what his title was. But he's a mucketty mucks in the Hitler regime, and he had sent this message to mex-. Sokoto saying we need you to attack the United States and engage them in war. And in return, we're going to give you Texas, New, Mexico and Arizona. "How are you? Are you doing? Well. I'm doing fantastic. And this was a game that just ended not that long ago between Oregon Stanford that people will talk about for a long time. And the reason I'm doing fantastic is because I pick Stanford and for most of the game Pete. I thought they weren't gonna win this one. What it collapsed by Oregon? Yeah. That was easy peasy, you know. So the Wisconsin win and in Wisconsin forty four point over eating, right? All the way around these picks Yeesh. Yeah. It was a collapsed. I mean, Oregon played so well, everything was going just fine. But you know, sometimes you gotta you gotta put him away. Neither team is great. I mean, the twelve is just you know, whatever. But it certainly was fun. And it was certainly one of those games might get America to care about the the Pac twelve a little bit because it was such an entertaining game. But there's still problems on both these squads and you saw that orange just can't close and Stanford. All right. They know their little shaky but they're undefeated, and they're still right in the mix there with a Washington to be the the big the best in the Pac twelve Al tell you this because the way that Oregon played in the first half, they were sending a statement. And then they had the fumble that really did change momentum. But then it looks like they were going to hang on. And they had the late fumble. I if you're in Oregon plan, I don't even know what you're doing with yourself right now you've got to be sick to your stomach. Yeah. I mean, it's not the free up their offense. I'm even though that doesn't really work with the ball control side. But you know. Yeah. I it stings it stinks. But you know, what? What they're still plenty of time. You have to assume that Stanford's going to have to lose at some point to say Washington, they're going to need a little bit more help along the way. But if you're Oregon you just keep on winning. So you know, what's your goal at all? This is it to get to the college football playoff. Yeah. But you have to win out. No matter. What is your goal to win the Pac twelve title? Okay. But yeah, this is one of those moments that was going to be that statement that, hey, welcome back Oregon, and it just showed that it's not quite there yet. But you know, they're still very good. Justin Herbertson NFL NFL starting quarterback. They stole the great defense. And it's still a lot of fun there. So it it was a good thing. Just obviously ended horribly for Hinode also stinks that we didn't get to see Oklahoma and army as it went into overtime because of this wacky big twelve pay per view of what's going on with desk because it's twenty eight and nice to be able to watch an Oklahoma game. You should be able to watch it. It is wrong. And it in today's day and age, it's you should be able to watch any game at any time. It was pretty amazing at the very. There. They just couldn't hit the curve ball. I mean, they could not figure out the army offense, it sometimes doesn't matter who you are that option is working. It is a differentiating factor. You cannot replicate that in practice. You could stay disciplined you can tell all these guys to stay in their lanes. But when it's coming and it's doing just enough to keep things moving. It's it's just hard to deal with and you know, this is the Ron day. Now, it's kind of comical now, here's Oklahoma is a program that made this this same sort of offense is so dominant during the nineteen eighties. Just got hit by army doing the exact same thing to them. They used to do. And it was Barry Switzer tweet out something like a why did we do this back in the day because we wanted to hold onto the ball for forty five minutes, and that was sort of the deals that they were able to keep that Oklahoma offense off the field. But when everything became even at the very end the Sooners came through this is a true survive in advance. I don't think it's anything against Oklahoma. At this point. I'll take it. Downgrade of too much. But certainly it was a rough game for them. Did you pay the thirty five bucks or whatever it was to watch that game? Or you're watching. Yeah. Streaming thing here, and there I have my way. Tag right now, CBS sports radio. So you mentioned the ranking of Oklahoma. How do you rank these top five teams in college football and your estimate Alabama, Alabama backups Alabama? Good. One week. Yeah. I mean the rankings don't matter anymore. I mean, we're talking about playoff Renton, the only ones at work, but the strange not to get off on a tangent from your question here. But if you're doing this, right? You got to put Virginia Tech four to state Georgia Tech in North Carolina behind Charlotte behind Old Dominion behind you max. But in Florida international behind all these you got put all like, it'd be five ACC teams in the one hundred because none of them have a decent win or even have a win over a non conference power five team group. Yeah, I'm sorry. FBI team. They've all beaten the FCS. So this has been a brutal day for rankings. But the top yet, it's Alabama Georgia. Clemson it's Ohio State those for there's no real reason to play the rest of the season. Most of the four best teams. There's just if you're going to go in the college football playoff theory, four best team theories. That's it. But we'll see. We'll see what happens obviously, Michigan's getting better. Penn State's looking pretty strong, still, Wisconsin. They're not that great as we stop at day. Just come up with another big way they're going to be alive and kicking. So it's be kind of interesting, but. Alabama just way too good. That's that's the one on ones right now. It's really amazing. And you just look at the story of two going back to the national championship game. And to see how he's playing this year twenty to thirty yesterday three eighty seven through the air and five total touchdowns and save is ever had a quarterback like this at Alabama. And they couldn't even run the football that offense today. It's it's really remarkable. And that's you know, you can. Could take a little bit with Alabama there. They've not been that incredibly consistent with their ground game. You know? So if you're gonna you to has an off game or if he starts throwing picks or you start figuring out how to get to these receivers. That's the problem. But I mean, we're gonna pick in special teams shaky there plenty of JK Scott anymore. Putting games not great, you know, and they still go out and just destroy everybody. So I don't think that Alabama team is is completely unbeatable but is gonna take a perfect storm for them to lose in the regular season. And then you don't get get give them another tournament. And again, well house got just as much talent. Georgia's got just as much talent. Clemson, certainly if I don't I don't think they're quite as good as those other three, but they're certainly pretty strong. So it's still going to be interesting. Once you get there. If those are the four teams and you look at the regular season schedule the rest of the way for Alabama the three games that jumped out the LSU game. Mississippi State, and then Auburn out of those three teams who do you like the best to maybe give Alabama the most competitive game? Down the road. And they have the lines. The thing about LSU. You don't have skill players who can hang with these guys. But the NFL talent defense, and if you can hold up against the Alabama often often lines in the trenches, you can survive, and you can do some pretty good things. But it's again, it's going to have to take Alabama royally screwing up. No one's gonna you know, the differentiating factor. Type of team was gonna be it was gonna be ole miss with that passing game. And that didn't work Mississippi State. You saw what happened to them against Kentucky neighbor that offense just went nowhere. That's another team. That's got the offense chops to potentially rise up on the right? But again, that's it's gonna take to a four interception day. It's going to have to take one of those weird moments when nothing works, and it's like a thirty eight thirty seven shootout. It's you're just not being this team. We're just way too good on both sides of the ball talking to attack right now. College football, news dot com. Let's get to Old Dominion. Touch them just a little bit. They were Owen three going into this game against average in attack. How the heck does that happen? I caught the end of the game. And they had that big statement Ron just to continue to put some more salt in the wound of the hokies fans. But that's just a complete and utter disgrace. Blake Blake LaRussa you cannot have a backup quarterback from Old Dominion it you for four hundred yards. I mean, it goes back like putting all the pieces of the puzzle together. Okay. We all saw Virginia Tech against Florida state, and every in the opinion gets foreign from their own. Hey, look, look at age against Florida state on the road. And everyone's thought over genetic must be good. No, no, probably not just not good. They'd be they'd be William, and Mary, and that's been it. But if you look across the skill easy see the season. You've got Clemson. Miami is good. You know, they had their one lost to LSU. That's forgivable. But then what else you got? I mean, Duke still undefeated. But all right. Maybe north western. Boston college. It gets whacked by Purdue NC state still alive and kickin, and they have no running game. So this is not a good conference right now if you're Old Dominion, if you're DC don't go in those in state games against the group of fibers North Carolina goes to East Carolina a couple of weeks ago and gets destroyed Virginia Tech goes across state to Old Dominion, they get wacked around. So it's just not very good right now for them. And did you see that their plan when they had the stadium at Old Dominion when they were showing the renderings of it actually had a score, and it was Old Dominion, beating Virginia Tech Virginia Tech was actually chirp it on social media. I don't know if you saw this and it came back to hurt them. Obviously. Now with the way our social media climate now works exactly, you know, that probably after the fact social media stuff like that. All right. But if you're good that doesn't matter, but you can't lose Old Dominion, then you can't move some banners, Charlotte the lost in you know, you can't do the team. It's now going to be ranked full of liberty. It just is not. Doc. Right now. CBS sports radio, Texas. We all know the terrible start. They got off to in the college football season losing in Maryland. Then Tom Herman beats USC. And then TCU I was surprised by TCU, especially with the performance. They gave state last week. Yeah. Recalibrate time. I don't think Texas is that great. And I'm wrong. I I never thought actually pick narrow into beat them to start. And then I picked USC to be Texas picked teeth you to be text. I just I just don't think they're that. Great. And yet they're winning. They just they find ways to win now. So great win for the program. I mean now if you look at what they've got going forward, we've got assume at this defense is going to be okay. And they're they're starting to get better week by week. And that's kind of what happens sometimes you don't have a preseason. Sometimes teams need a few weeks to get going, and you know, how states in Alabama's of the world sometimes don't, but Michigan for example, Michigan's team that needed two or three games against. Directional schools to get this thing humming. And I think they're going to be far far better as a tweet goes on same with Texas. They needed a warm up game. They were lousy laid against Maryland. They turned it over three times three possessions. Now, they might be good enough. So throwing them in there with the the Oklahoma of the world now within the big twelve looks a little more interesting before let me get to Oklahoma state. I loved them last week up against Boise's. I would've never seen this one coming up against Texas Tech. I know this is a week to week college football season. Anything can happen any any weekend. But this one was a surprise, Oklahoma state. Hundred percent with you. I with completely on this one. I was a huge Oklahoma state fast from the start. I still I mean, they're still right. But I might not be an Oklahoma state thing. It might be the oh my gosh. Texas Tech's offense is founded screw thing. I mean with Ellen Bowman doing what they've done over the last couple of weeks they they came into this season having to replace just about everybody in their passing game..
