"One thousand yard receiving season. The only Steeler in a hall of fame has thousand yard receiving season or seasons. I'm gonna go John stallworth. That's that's what I was going. John. Correct. Do you know how many of them he had I'm gonna go to I'm gonna go three and Brian would be the winner. It was in seventy nine eighty one and eighty eighty four eighty four eighty four was was someone else who had a thousand yards. Okay. Eighty four if I'm not mistaken, if I'm not mistaken, I think he was hurt all of Eighty-three that was calling you. Boy, it was I want my money back. Now, he's gonna do before. He's right. You don't let it I had to relook it up there. Because because I. Jerry. It be five. I knew they were back to back years. So so so it was eighty four eighty five. Yes, you're correct. That would Eighty-three while you was injured and that was the deal. Okay. We're gonna. Punch me. No, no. I'm no I'm glad I don't know why I wrote this down over week ago. And I don't know why that says eighty three I think I just did every two years. But yeah, there was a Dave hold on a second before, you know. Hold on before you get your next ones. Yeah. Are you? Sure. Yeah. The correct answers. Yes. I got this. Mistakes. Lynn one show wasn't John stolas nineteen forty three forty three. Here we go, dude. You in aby are the second Steeler duo to each have twelve hundred yards in a season. Who was the first I'm going to go with lexical and Hines ward in two thousand two. Man. This guy knows his numbers. Okay. I was gonna say oh four. But then I thought he had to be the better bet. Yeah. Oh, two was when they had a day both had a thousand yards in two thousand one they were the first duo for the Steelers two thousand yards in two thousand one then they did in two thousand and two they actually both had thirteen hundred yards. And if a b- wouldn't have did what he did in week thirteen because he ended up or week seventeen. He ended up with twenty one thousand two hundred ninety seven yards three yards. The last week. They would have also both had thirteen hundred yards. Who was the quarterback for those guys two thousand two. That was Tommy getting right? Those first year the time he gun era. Dip so that. Yeah. All right. Oh, here's one Brian. If you get this one, I'll be impressed. This is an NFL question who was the first receiver duo with a hundred plus receptions, each. I got it. I. But in the NFL, I'm going to go in one thousand nine hundred five yes, I'm going to go Detroit. Lions. Correct more. Yeah. I'm gonna guess Johnny Morton, no. And mourn. Johnny Morton was in that group. But. I don't know Brett Perriman. Brett is that shots that or? Family if so I don't know. Sure, either an uncle or something, I don't know come on. You're going to be the family tree is since Brian knows all the numbers. That that was that was pretty impressive. That was the first one in nineteen ninety five and then hold on. Let me count it up one two three four..

"Was twenty three years old telling everybody we're getting our manhood tested right now and for everyone to respond the way they did just shows type leader patrick mahomes really is we're talking to travis county is far as i'm concerned the best tight end in the national football over the last three seasons ladies and gentlemen he's had eleven hundred twenty five yards at twenty sixteen thousand thirty eight yards and twenty seventeen thirteen hundred and thirty six yards this season on one hundred and three receptions he's only missed too damn gays for crying out loud i'm talking to travis kelsey right here now the kansas city chiefs were stephen they on e._s._p._n. radio and e._s._p._n. news so as you reflect on this season obviously andy reid made a call and i'm certainly not asking you to comment about somebody's firemen because i know all y'all got love and respect for bob and if i think he needed to go because you can't have a defensive coordinator having a d offence that struggled as much as y'all did this year i think if you had grabbed rex ryan you would have been favorites to come out of the a._f._c. next year but you guys back notice your defense coordinator who's pretty damn good in his own right what is the expectation for the kansas city chiefs based on a year to jolliffe had what you know of new england what you know of the talent that you possess what's the expectation you know exactly where i'm going we're we're we're a super bowl we failed without a doubt there an down my mind there's any hesitation how i say it if we don't win the super bowl next year we have failed not only our team and at our job but we failed the community in kansas city because they give us a whole lot man you know i'm listening to you right now and i'm thinking about the a._f._c. and i kind of knew that the charges wouldn't get it done i just know it i just knew it travis told you i felt that way i just knew it new england obviously cannot be discounted but as we reflect on this new england team and look at this super bowl handicap it for me break it down how did you see the super bowl fifty three unfolding right now i see a very very motivated a new england patriots team i think the way their season ended last year they're kind of taken that underdog approach to where everyone might be doubting them a little bit and that's fueling a lot of guys that have done it before that is that one championships before i don't want to say to patriots just because i really don't know i'm sitting here and i played both teams and i see a great defense on both sides of the bossie a great offense on both sides of the ball and to be honest it's going it's going to take sixty minutes to figure this one out i truly believe that but when you look at new england and how y'all played against them an air sea championship and then again in the regular season when y'all lost to them like forty three to forty and foxborough you also lost a game to the los angeles rams it was the greatest football game i'd ever been a part of i was standing right there in the end zone at los angeles coliseum y'all lost at night fifty four to fifty one is one of the greatest not degrades experience i have had an n._f._l. game in my life you look at those two teams you played against them both how do you see this happening what's going to happen man it really it depends on what's i think the biggest marquee matchup that you're going to see that defensive line of the rams versus the how will the offensive line for the patriots or plan i mean the the rams got guys got great playmakers all over their defense but i think that front four it's it's like nothing else and if you look at last year's super bowl i mean that that was the biggest match of could they get tom brady and that eagles defensive line was able to get to him i think that was eventually the outcome of the game travis kelsey talked to us about.

"The big picture is in the game. It made me it's the barest. Like, I say, it's a circus show where now Pittsburgh, we definitely have to change that because you know, I love juju. Yup. Schuster. I think he's a great talent. You know, I'm looking forward to seeing his kind of role Antonio Brown's not their next year. But whatever reason players just got to come along like put all the bull-crap to the side and just go out there and play football. We're not out here. I mean think about our organization we don't have cheerleaders. We don't have fancy introduction. We don't really have a mascot. We just go out there and just do. Do purple hippopotamus. Unfortunately, you gotta get rid of him. I want you guys to be back this where it's a circle game. I can get excited, and it's not like we're playing, you know, I don't know. Some I I I mean, I just. I just thought I watched the patriots and Steelers play each other. I thought that was a phenomenal game became all the way down. It was just a great battle. And that's what I'm accustomed to seeing. So not even having the Steelers in the playoffs. This year was a embarrassing. No question about it. Because in Pittsburgh. I mean, it's not about what you did in the regular season. We're all about Super Bowl or nothing. And that's how it's always been. It's always been the patriots Steelers. And the ravens kind of those three teams of always been about who's gonna make an AFC who's go represent the AFC championship. And and that's just always been the case. So not seeing Pittsburgh in the mix. This year is very disappointing Hines ward, you got your shoot we'll rings on which all. All only bring them out during Super Bowl week, man. Yeah. Bring him out. Whatever you want us pretty with this right here to Rome kinda he was he was veteran on our team. So he designed this. I became the veteran, and I and I designed, wow, you guys actually I didn't know that actually got. Yeah. So dro- every time I see to Rome. You see them? You come on the show say houses design was way, better way bigger. You gotta see it for all. Subtle. But it's not. Tell me you look at the patriots ring. They're the same thing. Hugh. How did they how if the patriots of that big? How do they wear wear them? All at once. Then I don't know Brady wears around his necklace. The nuggets though. But I mean just to win the Super Bowl five times. I have an opportunity to win six. That's just unheard of. I think it Brady can pull it off. Man. You put him right up there with Jordan and some of the greatest athletes who ever done, I think he's already there. I mean, I I've said I think this game while great to win his legacies written. I mean, does it matter if it's five or six, although they matter English he. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Is playing totally go down as the best ever. I think he's already. They're obviously way way better than us. It was playing in his ninth. Yes. I'm that's it's mind. Bought us. Crazy. You know, you think I didn't think that ever been done just because you look at buffalo. What the Buffalo Bills you go to four straight Super Bowl. Right. Right. That was a great team. But what Tom Brady's dying playing this night and this whole career over half his career. He's been in the Super Bowl. Just doesn't even seem like a real number nine is outrageous. Ever look at those two rings. And it's just like thank God. We didn't play the playoffs. Because you guys be those twice in the championship game. And it just goes to show we beat you guys on a regular season. But when it mattered the most when it came to play off time, you guys as a way to pull it out and both games in Pittsburgh. Yes. You guys celebrate on our field. Now, what's the most? That was like a dagger in the heart. Watching you guys. Celebrate I was kinda mad. I was going to go up there and push guys, I'm room. But. You got to. All. No now feel which is worse. So one zero four oh the year. We'd be GIO tales. We'd beat you. That was four that ended a long winning streak, right? Yes. Yes. We do. Yes. Guys out there..

"Neither did not tell you about this but lands. I preface this on our post game show, and I said it was going to ask today. And that was a question about Antonio Brown now, Antonio Brown since he is become the superstar, that he is not talking about when Antonio Brown was a rookie or when you know Hines ward was the number one and Antonio Brown was just guy. We're talking young money crew in on. Okay. Okay. The question is is the Antonio Brown juju Smith Schuster the best duo for the Pittsburgh Steelers since Antonio Brown has been the guy lands. I asked you give Chris a chance to think about it lands. You had time to think about it. You already said that you don't think it is on your postgame show. So if you don't think that it's the best duo, who was the better tandem within Tony Brown? Was it Mike Wallis? Was it Martavis Bryant? What do you think Lance? It was Mark Wallace, in my opinion. When you look at Wallace's numbers, you look at his four years with the Steelers he ever nineteen point four yards per catch twenty one sixteen and thirteen with the impressive thing where that touchdowns sixteen twelve sixteen and sixteen. I mean the guy had was that thirty two touchdowns guy thirty two touchdowns four years. I mean, that's just incredible production and they were gonna pay my. Qualis it just did not work out. So I think that the best combo was Mike wa often Antonio Brown and the theme that might Wallace could do. Although he was a one trick. Pony is Mike Tomlin described him. That trick was really good. His ability to get over the top defenses was awesome. I mean also when you look at his stats in those years, you know thirteen hundred receiving yards roughly another twelve hundred. I mean he went from seven fifty six to twelve fifty seven to twelve hundred to eight thirty six. I mean, that's a ton of production in touchdowns is what sets it off and we all those touchdowns all those scores. I mean, I mean, that's a lot. Maybe I did my math wrong, you know, apologized for that. But yeah, I think I got the math, right? But that's a ton of touchdowns thirty plus touchdowns four seasons. I mean, that's number. So Wallace and Brown, where the best hand. What I e see, what do you think. So I gotta ask, are we judging just purely on their talent or their connection. Are there connection with Rothlisberger? Are we? Are? We just. The way now I'm looking at the the the duo, you know, being the great they work well together in tandem, that one helps the other. You obviously saw at the beginning of this season with intern around his frustrations, and a lot of people wonder is use machines to do enough to free up Antonio Brown. And while it still has talking point the narrative, it's it's, you know, like lands brought up a lot of statistics about Mike Wallace us very productive, but it also helped Antonio Brown at the same time. So e- can incorporate all that you can corporative relationship with Ross burger into it as well. But really, who you think was the best duo with into around when he was Antonio Brown. I'm gonna go, dude, you man, I, I see this doing way too much right now. I agree. I was I in the Jeff, you can hold me to this. I was huge, Mike Wallace backer back back in the day. I, I watched several times when I was just like you. You can't match up with that guy because he has his speeds just too much in within Tonio Brown. It was. It was. They were just electric. But I also think it's important. Remember we didn't really get to see in Tonio Brown z. Tonio Brown until Mike Wallace left Ed in that..

"A lot of times they did that for several players, Josh Brown, one of them like, let's wait and see, let's kinda see where we're at with this. They just put his number under like zero, four, nine, six, nine, three, four when they put him up on the screen and introducing. Do. I don't want to do a Sunday night and show where he's going, but we'll just say that's yeah. Do you have the hall of fame question? Yes. NFL less their modern era nominees for the hall of fame of these five guys they have in the picture. You could only give your vote to one of the five John Lynch, Tony Gonzales Ed Reed, champ Bailey Hines, ward only get to pick one right question media answer mine. I'm going to lose. He's the greatest to ever play the position. Not name gronk. I'm gonna go, Tony g you think grunk will be recognized as a better titan than Tony when it's all done. Yeah, he's not gonna stay healthy enough long enough and has also gonna be the question of was Brady Mbela check and mcdaniels helped make. I think Tony Gonzalves the greatest to ever play the game. And I think I left that gronk caveat because they're still a potential of five more years. If healthy, he could beat those numbers, but Tony Ed Reed and Tony dollars my guys, but Tony Gonzales to me best ever plays position. That's where I'm going on that one. Yeah, I could. I think champ Bailey's underrated John Lynch is come close here. Hines ward is going to get in. I think it comes down to Ed Reed. Ed Reed was a playmaker offensive player of the year from the safety position. Would you rather have Ed Reed or Ray Lewis? The great question. Probably go Ray. I feel like Ray like birth that defense like that was raised and read carried. The torch will like, I'm not sure that defense is that defense in the early two, thousands without Ray Lewis. Showing Ed read the way that's a political answer, but I love both of them. Why think Rod Woodson showed Ed read the way rate comment and people forget how great I think Rod Woodson you could make a case is the best athletes who ever play a defensive position. He was he could have been an Olympic hurdler safety corner and kick retests he, he was incredible. Any tackled people. You know it was good at cover and he had how many interceptions did he have fifty as the most interceptions taken for a touchdown history game. I'll tell you. Yeah, and two, very on a Rod. Woodson tangent played in a Super Bowl and a tornado came back that you and shutdown Michael Irvin. Yeah. Amazing. Did you see Steve Smith and Michael Irvin go back and forth? I did, and I don't. I'm not gonna speak out of school. I don't. I don't think that was for Shogo. No, I don't think it I. It feels like Steve Smith may have a sense of humor, but then he may not. And depending on when you say something, so Michael Irvin has essentially where we, yes, but but Mike says something and then all of a sudden Steve says something and feels like this is on now. He's like saying, you know, I got a master's degree in route running. You got a bachelors from a community college doctor route running out and look Steve Smith. If you want to go through the careers, has more yards more exceptional, but are find. I'm curious, calling wolf was the host. I thought she handled it very well on that. How would you have handled that? Would you have made a made a big joke out of it? Would you have tried to up even more? It was captivating TV. I'm not sure it was comfortable. TV would you have done? I think the fact that it was real and it's live. And in that moment then go for it. If we did that and we, we were taping something I might have somebody say, no, I don't. I don't want to put that out there. I think looking at the content part of it, I would have said, Steve, what is your problem with Mike? Because you can't just go. All right, we'll be back after this, like you just okay. He just said that and you can see where Mike is looking at him. Like, are you serious..

"Because isn't this the hines ward rule weren't they trying to outlaw this because hines ward did this better than anybody more often than anybody in the nfl and that is the crack back when a defensive player doesn't even know you're coming birth acc does turn into smith shuster he does turn into him and then he gets popped but i don't know if if smith shuster is going to be accused of jumping into perfect like that you're over aggressive in in a jumping into it but i'd like to find out the language here because for me that's just that was a great football hit its violent acts of violence sport you can't go man they're they're really violent yeah it's i'll go back to what i've said before many many times you've ever get the opportunity a game from the sidelines he would never let your kids play this sport not at that that not at that level it is so violent just listening to the sounds it just car crashes that's all it is yup all under the defenceless posture ruled the nfl a player receives a blindside block when the path the often the blocker is toward a parallel with his own online and also it's prohibited against a player who's considered defenceless you forcefully hit the defensive player in the head or neck area with the helmet facemask form or shoulder even ends initial contact is lower than the players necked neck and regardless of whether defensive player also uses arms and helmets collide so it there's language in there that makes the schuster hit smith schuster hit illegal because it covers everything nagging area it it secondary thought it was good hit me too that it was good good football player but so.

"It goes back to one of my it's my one of my best examples and that is hines ward got hit in a game against the ravens i think ray lewis popped him and he got hit up top he grabbed his ankle because then he knew he didn't have to go in concussion protocol it's like you got your bell wrong and he said i grabbed my ankle because then i wouldn't have to go in a concussion protocol ms gotten to the point where are hiding guys helmets now when they go to the sidelines but i understand thursday night the short turnaround you're only asked to play one thursday night a season does every team play thursday night the amount of money that is poured into the coffers year for thursday night football is what two hundred fifty million dollars here you are asked to play one it's a short work week and then you get ten or eleven days off after that depending on the schedule but michael bennett had this to say about playing on thursday night i feel like there's against for people are harming when advised on prepare so so lose a player of his magnitude of his caliber is this is this a tragic yeah i understand it nearly lost richard sherman one of the best and the sisulu super bowl caliber team banal done for the year he'd been playing on a tender achilles tendon i think of that he had talked about how he was sort of making modifications gamed the game and not making sharp moves he made a move on a football and it popped and then he knew it right away that he was done uh.
