"And the storm center at any time one of the stories over the weekend is the alliance of American football that has a very close, Pittsburgh and NFL connection. And joining us on our disc institute a Pittsburgh Newsline. He's the morning hosts wer radio in Birmingham Birmingham as a team. But he's also friend of mine went to north Allegheny clarion. Jeff Tyson JT. How are you? Good morning guys. How are you? We're doing well. So how was day one for the alliance of American football down there in Birmingham. Fighting. We weren't sure how many people are going to selfish turned out to be about seventeen or eighteen thousand people that leaching field work legion field. Larry can tell you a story about that. And just the Birmingham iron took care of Memphis. The final scores twenty six nothing Trent Richardson, obviously big name here in this area from the Obama crimson tide played in the league for a couple of years and a number of different teams, including the Cleveland Browns. As you guys know there's a lot of guys in this league. That are former NFL guys guys that have been guys trying to work their way back into the NFL. But the crowd was really into perfect football weather. You're great games and Tim Lewis the head coach university of Pittsburgh, standout star played in the NFL coached in the NFL. And now the head coach in Birmingham. He says that the the folks down there really warmed up to it. But back here in Pittsburgh. We haven't heard much about this league teams in the league right now. And they're a complimentary lead to the NFL. They don't work so much side by side with. The league. But as you know, guys like Troy, Paul Hines ward, they're all a part of this lions football league. So I think this league really does have leaks are lakes rather? We've seen a number of side NFL organizations try and make a run out of it. I feel pretty good about this one. Yeah. They certainly are painting themselves as the triple a of the NFL away for guys to work their way back into the National Football League. And it was interesting in watching the games over the weekend. I heard one of the players was asked about the speed of the game compared to the NFL and the comment was it's about seventy percent of the speed. So it seems just a little bit slower. But when you watch it, it doesn't look like that. No, not at all. Very good games. Move a lot quicker. They're designed to end up about two and a half hours. There's a limited number of television timeouts halftime for the teams in the locker room down to thirteen minutes. They changed some of the roles during the games as well. No more kickoffs to avoid injury, special teams have made adjustments lit says of change. They don't allow more than five guys in the box. So their speed McCain up, they're really focusing on tension with the the safety for the the players. I think it's a good thing. I think you may see some changes criminal direction with the NFL on this in college ranks as well. One of the things I've found fascinating is they Mike the quarterbacks in the head coaches and gotta be careful couples. I believe slipped out. But it was entertaining. And I thought you did a great job is the public address announcer for the iron now already nicknaming their defense the iron curtain. Oh, really? There you go. I like that. I like that. Well, Larry, I learned all my stadium announcing from the best. Larry, richard. Thanks for the hey, good job. And we'll catch up with the Jeff gray day. All right, guys. Thanks, seven forty two. Katy k radio will the other big story. That is still developing is the issue with the governor of Virginia. Ralph north who sat down with CBS Gayle king over the weekend to talk about the situation. What have you learned that you didn't know before?.

"Eleven hundred and six yards hall of Famer Julian Edelman, get the hell out of here. Hines ward isn't in the hall of fame. That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard in my life. Join hall of Famer. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Join them into nice player who would be nice and a lot of places and is great because he's with the patriots. And he's okay hall of Famer Julian Edelman, that's the most ridiculous thing. I've ever heard. From Adam Schefter and the CBS postgame show. That's not even a skip Bayless take from reputable people are you out of your damn fool mines hall of Famer. Julian do you know, how hard it is to make the pro football hall of fame. The guys who played fifteen years with mall. Ten pro bowls Allen fan IKA and Steve Hutchinson. Tony Sally all those great offensive lineman. They don't get eight years and years and years to get in some of them still aren't. Look at the hall of fame class every year. Ill put five guys in. If you're magin a scenario where Julian Edelman is one of the five guys that goes into Kansan, hell, no. That is ridiculous. Listen good for him. Great Super Bowl Super Bowl MVP. You'll be able to get more money for your autograph. You're an all time patriot. You're a Boston sports legend your perfect with Tom Brady. Perfect for that system. Very good career. You've got more. Also, by the way, you're what turn thirty three. And a couple of months you could play another couple of seasons. Hall of fame for Jewish settlement is one of the most ridiculous things. I've ever heard in my entire life. Hall of Famer Julian Edelman, stop it. That is complete and utter nonsense. That was a horrible Super Bowl. People will try to spin it and say that it was great defense. It wasn't golf didn't live up to the moment. Brady had a few big throws in clutch spots. The MVP of that game was Bill Belichick. Bill Belichick just clown suited. Sean McVay just pants them. Bill. Ballot. Check, by the way, who I took eight on of crap for on my show locally in the show last week for saying that he's more responsible for the patriots dynasty than Brady. And that's not disparaging Brady Brady is the first ballot hall of Famer he's the most accomplished quarterback of all time. He is a brilliant clutch, performer and a champion. But more responsible for the patriots dynasty. It's Bill Belichick. And tonight is a great example of what a great example. Big g in South Carolina your first up at Super Bowl post game. "The big picture is in the game. It made me it's the barest. Like, I say, it's a circus show where now Pittsburgh, we definitely have to change that because you know, I love juju. Yup. Schuster. I think he's a great talent. You know, I'm looking forward to seeing his kind of role Antonio Brown's not their next year. But whatever reason players just got to come along like put all the bull-crap to the side and just go out there and play football. We're not out here. I mean think about our organization we don't have cheerleaders. We don't have fancy introduction. We don't really have a mascot. We just go out there and just do. Do purple hippopotamus. Unfortunately, you gotta get rid of him. I want you guys to be back this where it's a circle game. I can get excited, and it's not like we're playing, you know, I don't know. Some I I I mean, I just. I just thought I watched the patriots and Steelers play each other. I thought that was a phenomenal game became all the way down. It was just a great battle. And that's what I'm accustomed to seeing. So not even having the Steelers in the playoffs. This year was a embarrassing. No question about it. Because in Pittsburgh. I mean, it's not about what you did in the regular season. We're all about Super Bowl or nothing. And that's how it's always been. It's always been the patriots Steelers. And the ravens kind of those three teams of always been about who's gonna make an AFC who's go represent the AFC championship. And and that's just always been the case. So not seeing Pittsburgh in the mix. This year is very disappointing Hines ward, you got your shoot we'll rings on which all. All only bring them out during Super Bowl week, man. Yeah. Bring him out. Whatever you want us pretty with this right here to Rome kinda he was he was veteran on our team. So he designed this. I became the veteran, and I and I designed, wow, you guys actually I didn't know that actually got. Yeah. So dro- every time I see to Rome. You see them? You come on the show say houses design was way, better way bigger. You gotta see it for all. Subtle. But it's not. Tell me you look at the patriots ring. They're the same thing. Hugh. How did they how if the patriots of that big? How do they wear wear them? All at once. Then I don't know Brady wears around his necklace. The nuggets though. But I mean just to win the Super Bowl five times. I have an opportunity to win six. That's just unheard of. I think it Brady can pull it off. Man. You put him right up there with Jordan and some of the greatest athletes who ever done, I think he's already there. I mean, I I've said I think this game while great to win his legacies written. I mean, does it matter if it's five or six, although they matter English he. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Is playing totally go down as the best ever. I think he's already. They're obviously way way better than us. It was playing in his ninth. Yes. I'm that's it's mind. Bought us. Crazy. You know, you think I didn't think that ever been done just because you look at buffalo. What the Buffalo Bills you go to four straight Super Bowl. Right. Right. That was a great team. But what Tom Brady's dying playing this night and this whole career over half his career. He's been in the Super Bowl. Just doesn't even seem like a real number nine is outrageous. Ever look at those two rings. And it's just like thank God. We didn't play the playoffs. Because you guys be those twice in the championship game. And it just goes to show we beat you guys on a regular season. But when it mattered the most when it came to play off time, you guys as a way to pull it out and both games in Pittsburgh. Yes. You guys celebrate on our field. Now, what's the most? That was like a dagger in the heart. Watching you guys. Celebrate I was kinda mad. I was going to go up there and push guys, I'm room. But. You got to. All. No now feel which is worse. So one zero four oh the year. We'd be GIO tales. We'd beat you. That was four that ended a long winning streak, right? Yes. Yes. We do. Yes. Guys out there..

"Hines ward NFL great going to join me on the program. We'll talk some football and an hour and a half from now little bit less than that actually Tarez paler nine twenty eastern six twenty Pacific will be on the program talks amount of fell transnational NFL columnist. Guru reporter insider for Yahoo sports. A lot of you a lot of you tweeted me in sports writers, poets REIT are. I bet Bill Ryder has new favorite player. It's raised on Rondo many of you with gifts for just straight video of Rondo with the left, by the way, strong left punching Chris Paul interface. Those aren't from the story. I told them many times on the air. I have had an interaction with Chris Paul that was revelatory and long story short. Chris Paul lost his marbles with me started screaming swear, throwing bombs at me being very angry for reasons that are still a little unclear trying to sort of bully made an event, and and I told that story again, and again, again, I told us around the air when I was actually part of the clippers radio network first time that didn't last because I'm not gonna lie. Chris Paul, and I can only judge a human being a man by the my experience with them. So my experience with Chris Paul? He has been a phony to face pretend. Nice guy who was rude condescending and arrogant. And the backstory to my Chris Poland our actions that led me I was so shocked by the behavior of some of the things that I saw all of these clippers sources started to reach out. I didn't really know that well a little bit to apologize for Chris's behavior to tell me didn't reflect the clippers organization, and I got all these sources, and I ended up breaking story and how Andre Jordan hated Chris Paul and was probably gonna leave and it became big story. And obviously deandre Jordan went to the Mavericks before coming home before later being betrayed by the people coming back. So anyway, okay. So I also learned in that reporting. It's not just meters. Like, Chris Paul, and I don't I don't like grown men treating me that way and speaking that Wayne speaking down to other people that were my associates when they can. And I was the only person who could defend himself. I was you know, television slash talent. Interviewer I could speak back belittling producers and cameraman those guys those men and women are just gonna put their heads down and say nothing, I think the guy's a bowling. I think the guy's a phoney what I found was not the only one. In fact, it's the other way around my opinion was formed by the. Penny of a lot of people around the NBA even people that like, Chris I like him. But he's a real jerk. Do you have friends who like no one else likes? But you like in when people say, he's a complete jerk. Like, yeah. No fly like him. That's Chris Paul's defenders regime, Rondo is not one of those guys and he punched him in the face, and and just to give you some insight, and I can use the swear word here because we don't do that on this family friendly show, but I was texting people in the Lakers organization, and in the rockets organization just places where Chris Paul has worked or band or people who've worked with him and let me pull this up. Let me read it to you exactly still want to get it wrong. I asked someone for an explanation of what they saw and their answer was last word. I'm gonna change it'll rhyme with the word the person used Chris Paul is a straight snitch didn't say snitch, so different work. People do not like Chris Paul other than LeBron James. They just don't and to me what you saw yesterday. And I've said this before right along the movie tin Cup more my favorite sports movies of all time. And I use the Don Johnson character lot, right? Don Johnson in the film. Really engaging. Great on camera loves children good to people. And as soon as the camera goes off, Don Johns like smoking a cigarette swearing at children refused to autographs, I think there's a seemed like he kicks a dog. I dunno. Right. Just not the guy on camera that is off camera. I like authentic people like honest people, and I don't need to be around people. That are nice to me to celebrate what they're about a huge Nick Sabin fan. My one long interaction with him was brutal. But I appreciate it the authenticity. That's three as and that's what we saw last night. I dunno down. I I've seen the video thousand times. Like, you have I'll buy that. He was spit on. I I don't buy it. Rondos a competitor. And he's. Jerk is in his own, right. But he's a pro he's gonna spit on creek. No. He's not. Why would he put on Chris Paul? He'll just punch him in the face. He's not a fake tough guy fake tough guy spit on you on a basketball floor when they know there's team meds are going to separate you real tough guys punch you in the face that is what Rondo did. I I know. I shouldn't celebrate life thought. It was totally awesome. And after the game Rondo talked about his or not after the game layer all the suspensions came down later Rondo talked about his suspension..

"Neither did not tell you about this but lands. I preface this on our post game show, and I said it was going to ask today. And that was a question about Antonio Brown now, Antonio Brown since he is become the superstar, that he is not talking about when Antonio Brown was a rookie or when you know Hines ward was the number one and Antonio Brown was just guy. We're talking young money crew in on. Okay. Okay. The question is is the Antonio Brown juju Smith Schuster the best duo for the Pittsburgh Steelers since Antonio Brown has been the guy lands. I asked you give Chris a chance to think about it lands. You had time to think about it. You already said that you don't think it is on your postgame show. So if you don't think that it's the best duo, who was the better tandem within Tony Brown? Was it Mike Wallis? Was it Martavis Bryant? What do you think Lance? It was Mark Wallace, in my opinion. When you look at Wallace's numbers, you look at his four years with the Steelers he ever nineteen point four yards per catch twenty one sixteen and thirteen with the impressive thing where that touchdowns sixteen twelve sixteen and sixteen. I mean the guy had was that thirty two touchdowns guy thirty two touchdowns four years. I mean, that's just incredible production and they were gonna pay my. Qualis it just did not work out. So I think that the best combo was Mike wa often Antonio Brown and the theme that might Wallace could do. Although he was a one trick. Pony is Mike Tomlin described him. That trick was really good. His ability to get over the top defenses was awesome. I mean also when you look at his stats in those years, you know thirteen hundred receiving yards roughly another twelve hundred. I mean he went from seven fifty six to twelve fifty seven to twelve hundred to eight thirty six. I mean, that's a ton of production in touchdowns is what sets it off and we all those touchdowns all those scores. I mean, I mean, that's a lot. Maybe I did my math wrong, you know, apologized for that. But yeah, I think I got the math, right? But that's a ton of touchdowns thirty plus touchdowns four seasons. I mean, that's number. So Wallace and Brown, where the best hand. What I e see, what do you think. So I gotta ask, are we judging just purely on their talent or their connection. Are there connection with Rothlisberger? Are we? Are? We just. The way now I'm looking at the the the duo, you know, being the great they work well together in tandem, that one helps the other. You obviously saw at the beginning of this season with intern around his frustrations, and a lot of people wonder is use machines to do enough to free up Antonio Brown. And while it still has talking point the narrative, it's it's, you know, like lands brought up a lot of statistics about Mike Wallace us very productive, but it also helped Antonio Brown at the same time. So e- can incorporate all that you can corporative relationship with Ross burger into it as well. But really, who you think was the best duo with into around when he was Antonio Brown. I'm gonna go, dude, you man, I, I see this doing way too much right now. I agree. I was I in the Jeff, you can hold me to this. I was huge, Mike Wallace backer back back in the day. I, I watched several times when I was just like you. You can't match up with that guy because he has his speeds just too much in within Tonio Brown. It was. It was. They were just electric. But I also think it's important. Remember we didn't really get to see in Tonio Brown z. Tonio Brown until Mike Wallace left Ed in that..

"Eight five five three two three four NBC's. We continue to talk and National Football League on this Thursday evening. Joining us now, it's my pleasure to welcome in a former Super Bowl MVP and a four-time Pro Bowl or a former Steeler from Pittsburgh, actually, Mr. Hines ward, Hines appreciate a couple of minutes, my friend. How are you? Pretty good. Pretty good. So listen, we've spent so much time Hines talking about the pace right now. The trajectory that the NFL is on two hundred seventy five touchdown passes. Have been thrown already through a week five. We've got fifteen quarterbacks on pace to throw thirty touchdowns. The average completion percentage of sixty five percent. Is this good for the game in your opinion? Exciting. You know, if I'm defensive player, I would hate it. I mean, I just I just think this year has really been all about the quarterbacks. I mean thinking about the rule changes. You almost can't even touch the quarterback. Now guys are getting frustrated. I kind of feel sorry for these guys because I don't understand football. Everyone's entitled to get hit. I get the the league is trying to clean up the game with hit and and work on having that say people players and stuff like that. But I just don't know what the fate more about him. I mean guys hundred catches that's going to be the norm. I think you're like maybe twenty guys have catches. You know, but that's the state of our guy. That's where our game is going to you know, you look at drew Brees just turned thirty nine become the all time passing leader NFL history. Tom Brady's forty one. He's kinda feel plan at a high level. But then you to see the past another torch Jericho Baker Mayfield show Watson went Patrick Mahomes. Six. I still is. I mean, they get nicknames. It makes it exciting. I think we're going to start a new brand of football where it's gonna be like this whole fashioned shootout forty to forty five games. That's where I league is going to now I know a lot of current players former players they hate fantasy football. How much do you think this is being fueled? By fantasy football football is a billion dollar industry. It gets fans intrigue each and every player. So I get it. I understand that aspect of it. But at the end of the day, I mean, we football players. We don't wanna feel like we're an entity or a commodity that we have no say so we were just like pie up there. And they're making money off. I get it. You know, I ran the business aspect of it. But at the end of the day, you still want at the core out there, and it's still you have to show up at defense. I mean, you know, almost like as a player, you don't even wanna play defense anymore. What did you do like you? Go up your apple quarterback up. And then yet your phrase attack over bring it out. But you let him go. He escapes the fifty yard touchdown, Pat. What did you do the defense the player? Right. So I get the gist of the game. But you know, it's still fine. I look these kids need office guy up. There catches and a quarterback swinging a ball out. But listen, you're an offensive guy who had a reputation to mix. It up to go inside and block and knock knock the snot out of a linebacker or safety. Could you play in today's game? Yeah. Live. If you hit me going across the middle. You can hit me, you know, we're trying to clean up at targeting rules. But the biggest thing I think is for wide receivers one across the middle. Their thing that we hate both guys going after I left. Well, you're giving me no choice. But to go low, you know, every blow out receivers ACL out, his knee or whatever. He's never he might not ever come back the same player. So that's what you advocate, and you have any receiver. I'll much rather be hit high the hit low. Yeah. I'm with you. One hundred percent we're talking with Hines ward a Super Bowl MVP who was here courtesy of McAllister's deli. I had a bunch of people over at the house on Sunday and. Is there anything better in the fall and just getting around a bunch of friends and having a great little tailgate, man? You know, tell getting is important that's important now football fans and food the key ingredient. Why you gotta have great food because food brings people together. Enjoy the experience. Right. So I paid up with McAllister to provide that I mean, we got the great handcrafted sandwiches. Got the chips. You got the cookies, and you know, he'd been a southern guy. I gotta get put sweet tea, and that's crepe. And also because I. Now that I'm retired. I never knew how much work it went into tailgating. Over tearing up the house Perrino. And stuff. I just put it all in McAllister pan. I let them do it. I let them prepare the food and interpreter of the cats, and let me tell you, man. It makes my day easier to have a mice. I I hear you, my friend. All right. I gotta get to your Steelers here off to a really slow start the distraction of labial bell who still remains a hold out. There have been multiple instances involving Antonio Brown. And again, I just I picked them to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl prior to the season. I was shocked at the way they got off pints. I don't know how close you are with the players and the staff there, but what's your perception of what's happening in Pittsburgh right now. A little bit embarrassing. The sense of me being a former player. I mean, we're talking more about the drama and off the field stuff rather football. Listen, let me on made a business decision. I did. I mean, we all get it. You know, when the teams no longer need or services, they cut you. Let me on bail the running back with vision you have a short lifespan as it is running back. So he's trying to maximize whatever money he can. Tell me as a player, you know, unwritten rule, we don't really talk on other guys. There's a decision and talk about the guy's money. I just think you know, having guide blow it all out of proportion commenting on. Well, how much is getting paid? How much kidding pay day-to-day? You're you're you're you're going away from football and marketplace to coach on Pittsburgh up blue collar city. They're not trying to hear all this off the field drama who's making what money all they want you to do where to black go. Go out there and kick tail on the football field and win games and bring us home Super Bowl champions. That's what it's all about trying to hear all that other drama. What sort of say, oh, this guy doing this, this guy culture in Pittsburgh? So that's why I think the post-race it from the fans because let's let's let's get back to Papa James tonner. He's doing phenomenal job filling in for Levy on Bill that bar, but this make it about the team. You really can't say anything about Levy I'll bell because he's not. There. So let's just focus on the team. And we've got a big game coming up fencing natty Cincinnati is a huge game. But the visual game. And I think you know, whatever reason we feel comfortable going fanatic and plan. There are a lot about bad. We have more Steeler fans and Cincinnati Bengals fans. Right. Level there. But I think for the the Bengals mental Vike. This is a big game for them. Because whatever reason we have access down for that. Like, no other dog. I'll let you go with this one. You know, what's very long football season. Given the way this football team. The Pittsburgh Steelers have started do you like them to get this thing turned around and be a factor at the end of the year? I do I do they can go down there and close the gap offense anatomy and find a way to win. It makes it an interesting IFC north to visit the Cleveland plant. Well, Baltimore's plan. Well, Cincinnati there in the league right now. But you can't count out big, Dan and AB and Mike Tomlin, you know. Whatever reason he finds a way to rally the troops and this focus on football. And whenever Levy on Bill to come back and talk about them. But until then. Let's get back to playing football because by far on paper play by play. We still have the best players in the division. May be big band times. More Super Bowl MVP four-time. A four time pro bowler in the National Football League here courtesy of McAllister's deli. It's always a pleasure, man. We appreciate you taking a couple of minutes for us. Enjoy the football. Enjoy the tailgate, my friend. Okay, anytime that's a guy hides more joining us right here under set with Mark below to again, if you miss any.

"A lot of times they did that for several players, Josh Brown, one of them like, let's wait and see, let's kinda see where we're at with this. They just put his number under like zero, four, nine, six, nine, three, four when they put him up on the screen and introducing. Do. I don't want to do a Sunday night and show where he's going, but we'll just say that's yeah. Do you have the hall of fame question? Yes. NFL less their modern era nominees for the hall of fame of these five guys they have in the picture. You could only give your vote to one of the five John Lynch, Tony Gonzales Ed Reed, champ Bailey Hines, ward only get to pick one right question media answer mine. I'm going to lose. He's the greatest to ever play the position. Not name gronk. I'm gonna go, Tony g you think grunk will be recognized as a better titan than Tony when it's all done. Yeah, he's not gonna stay healthy enough long enough and has also gonna be the question of was Brady Mbela check and mcdaniels helped make. I think Tony Gonzalves the greatest to ever play the game. And I think I left that gronk caveat because they're still a potential of five more years. If healthy, he could beat those numbers, but Tony Ed Reed and Tony dollars my guys, but Tony Gonzales to me best ever plays position. That's where I'm going on that one. Yeah, I could. I think champ Bailey's underrated John Lynch is come close here. Hines ward is going to get in. I think it comes down to Ed Reed. Ed Reed was a playmaker offensive player of the year from the safety position. Would you rather have Ed Reed or Ray Lewis? The great question. Probably go Ray. I feel like Ray like birth that defense like that was raised and read carried. The torch will like, I'm not sure that defense is that defense in the early two, thousands without Ray Lewis. Showing Ed read the way that's a political answer, but I love both of them. Why think Rod Woodson showed Ed read the way rate comment and people forget how great I think Rod Woodson you could make a case is the best athletes who ever play a defensive position. He was he could have been an Olympic hurdler safety corner and kick retests he, he was incredible. Any tackled people. You know it was good at cover and he had how many interceptions did he have fifty as the most interceptions taken for a touchdown history game. I'll tell you. Yeah, and two, very on a Rod. Woodson tangent played in a Super Bowl and a tornado came back that you and shutdown Michael Irvin. Yeah. Amazing. Did you see Steve Smith and Michael Irvin go back and forth? I did, and I don't. I'm not gonna speak out of school. I don't. I don't think that was for Shogo. No, I don't think it I. It feels like Steve Smith may have a sense of humor, but then he may not. And depending on when you say something, so Michael Irvin has essentially where we, yes, but but Mike says something and then all of a sudden Steve says something and feels like this is on now. He's like saying, you know, I got a master's degree in route running. You got a bachelors from a community college doctor route running out and look Steve Smith. If you want to go through the careers, has more yards more exceptional, but are find. I'm curious, calling wolf was the host. I thought she handled it very well on that. How would you have handled that? Would you have made a made a big joke out of it? Would you have tried to up even more? It was captivating TV. I'm not sure it was comfortable. TV would you have done? I think the fact that it was real and it's live. And in that moment then go for it. If we did that and we, we were taping something I might have somebody say, no, I don't. I don't want to put that out there. I think looking at the content part of it, I would have said, Steve, what is your problem with Mike? Because you can't just go. All right, we'll be back after this, like you just okay. He just said that and you can see where Mike is looking at him. Like, are you serious..

"Here that are mentioned in the book that's gonna hurt things such as for example platelet rich plasma or prp were these gotta got a set of initials these days of what pray tell is a platelet a rich plasma yeah well this is kind of a perfect segue promote we were just talking about really could be the next big thing on we're talking about treatment of injuries prp is the substance you we uh it who got no one to everybody hines ward was injected with it a few times before the super bowl in two thousand nine and it andrea kramer reported on it right before the game and ninety three million people heard it and then all of a sudden everybody wanted it basically a you draw a little bit of blood from your body the doctor spend it in the centre views takes out the plasma from the blood reinjected into wherever the injury is to try to get that to heal faster it in the same category of substances as stemcell these are treatment derived from your body to try to help structures he'll or get back to normal and there's a lot of hope that this at some point will be able to reverse things like arthritis and these chronic muscle injuries and chronic ligament injury where people just hurt and they can't do what they want to do so people are spending hundreds and thousands of dollars cash because insurance doesn't pay for them right now for the i hope that it's going to be a breakthrough miracle cure we don't have a lot of data yet to its led to a lot of questions but it does represent a very very potentially huge breakthrough you know in potentially keeping people performing better later in their lives is this anything like blood doping well it people thought so initially that was part of the reaction to the hines ward thank blood doping is where you take blood out of your body put it in a freezer and reinject the red blood cell food you have more red blood.
