"Why and one thing we uncovered Mitch during that episode was not always being able to answer it. You know with with some of life's hardships in in tough times that come up relationships that and people that come in and out of our life like you know when we lose people were always asking why Sometimes it's it's it's okay not to have the answer you know we. We always want the answer and we crave and sometimes we get in. Sometimes you know I think it's important to realize that we may not get that answer and that's where we talked about leaving that space for for grace you know and for faith We're in a really tough time right now. Like you mentioned and it's GonNa Life's GonNa Change in. And you know some of us are. GonNa you know hopefully not but some of US may lose some people in we may relationships may change and whatnot and and it's just having that hope in that grace in that faith We're not going to be able to answer. Why possibly but I think it's important to to stay in line and in tune with that Tough question you know. We we always want to be able to answer things but but I just think that sometimes there's a space where we we just can't you know. I don't think I brought this up during Episode Seventeen that you were talking about being able to why. Why can't we settle on that? Were able to answer. Why again like we're going to have another situation moving forward that we will be able to answer why we just feel like this is the end like this. Is the last stage that we're going to have. And we're so fixated on that but guess what you get to move forward and not everyone can say that in a situation. I mean there's a lot of We always talk about death On the PODCAST. And we've looked at those situations on. What if I could do this? Or what if I could do that? Or you look back on the last moments that you have and wish that you could do them better. Why don't we turn that upside down and say you know what we get to answer? Why again we might not have an answer. Why this thing and it's pretty bad and we're struggling but we get to that make any sense. Uh-huh yeah absolutely. It's I think we've touched on this briefly but we can circle back around in the sense that we get to answer. Why because time does its thing and regardless of what we do. Time keeps moving along. You know we can't. We CAN'T PRESS PAUSE. We can't put our life on hold and and go back and change. You know change any circumstances we just can't regardless we always have a choice to decide how to act and with that With the tough times that we're in right. Now we get that opportunity because regardless of of what the pandemic does and how long were in these social distancing rules and and kind of just the state of life that we're in right now. Well time is time is still moving. You know it's it's the middle slash end of April right now in on the started to come about in in early March so even just the time that's passed since this thing has started. You know is is quite crazy. It just time keeps moving in the the fact that we do get the opportunity to to continue to go on. We need to utilize that and hopefully make some some good choices coming out of this. I like it I appreciate your elaboration on mine. I was just throwing out there and I think you hit the nail right on the head there. So before the end we revisit past episodes and included reviews and questions from our audience We read a few shots wall comments from our listeners. Sponsored by a good friend of ours Stephen Hilda. Men were kind of getting to the end of the road there but he's been a great sponsor through season two and we couldn't do it without them. So thanks Steve for for all your help here. We're gonNA read any Shout outs but we sure liked to Basically he sponsors a majority of this episode as it was A. Ask ME ANYTHING EPISODE. So we do have some exciting news our next episode here on season to our last one and then we're going to switch up to season three. What is something you've given up on? What do you think of that one? That's going to be a doozy man. There's some Some answers in there that are pretty eye opening. So I'm I'm excited not really excited. I'm just interested. I'm eager to to dive into those a little bit more but That exciting news. We've got we're going to be joined on our next episode by Dana. Dake house You know I've met him a couple times. He came and presented in waverly To our teachers and then I met him out at Wild West leadership conference a very generous Guy You know a Lotta people might know him. He's he's a big donor at SDS. You actually as a football stadium named after him but what I've been really interested with him is just his demeanor. I mean you meet the guy and you don't know what to expect. I mean. Obviously he's got some money but just his down to earth approach on everything and he talks you you like you're an equal and I just. I really enjoyed the two times. I did get to talk to them. And I'm really looking forward to diving into some conversation with him And just asking them some questions from this season. Jake really looking forward to that conversation to have a guy of his stature on daynuss done some incredible work you know throughout the South Dakota region and to have him on as a guest in to pick his brain a little Obviously a very successful man whose made it far in life but but he's also very grounded like you mentioned down to Earth and and willing to have a conversation with us I'm just really really excited and excited for our listeners to be able to dive in an NBA part of that conversation. That experience man..

"Unfortunately, a closer look revealed that this man was just criminally focused on the one woman he'd been remanded romantically interested in not lots of women, and there was literally no evidence connected him to any of the other cases, and he also had solid alibis, this particular theory doesn't sound real thought out. Just one excited. Officer, does I know did it, it was a crazy guy will make say that. Yuck. He's crazy. Think about it. Who does it like this fucking crazy people? Okay. Do you have anything else at all to base your suspicion on? I mean now right now, but it's a start of something. Yeah. That was a terrible suspect. Another possibility was, I love how this written in some of the old articles, a quote, young hippie with Volkswagen. Bus in California license plates, fucking dirty hippie. There was pulled over in a traffic. Stop. He raises suspicion by asking the officers about the girls deaths also who's seen as being suspicious, probably because he had long hair and was a fan of wacky Tabacchi. Police searched the man's vehicle discovered a rifle they briefly thought they may have found their man. No, he only recently arrived. He'd heard the news about the murders on TV driven all the way to Texas thinking that he could crack the case. And he gets the reward money like some sort of hippie, Sherlock Holmes is hey, hey man is elementary man. They lay listen. Watson, dude, we need we need. Clues man clear soon, ported, man. Hey, you like cat Stevens dis. Oh shit, man. He's still good. We should have kit. Stevens Hilda's man Ken Stevens is like another. Spiritual level. Suspects three and four were twenty four year old Houston record. Driver hairy Lanham and his friend at twenty two year old Vietnam vet Anthony Napa junior. They were arrested in April nineteen seventy two for the murder of twenty two year old Linda Faye Sutherland and Pearland, a suburb, just south of Houston. Her body had been found the previous November around the time of the Akron Johnson killings line and some weeds under an area bridge. Linda phase, killing didn't bear a lot of resemblance to the other murders beyond that the twenty one year old barmaids body was found in a ditch. Unlike the other Sutherland was fully dressed still wearing Brown. Go go boots in a short pink dress, even her sweater. So police could make a case for the other homicides against land ham, and Napa, both of whom are now thankfully, did it is. There wasn't any evidence to connect him. These other crimes land him died when he lunged for an officer's gun in the Harris County jail shortly after his arrest, and he was shot and killed instant Justice novel was released from prison in nine hundred nine age of forty one after serving.
