How Important Is Broadband to the $1.2 Trillion Infrastructure Plan?

"Here. In washington including president biden are hoping debate on a one point two trillion dollar infrastructure. Package could start as early as monday. Just before the august recess senate republicans blocked a procedural vote to start that debate this this week pushing for more time to hammer out details. You've got the usual talk of roads and bridges. Yes but broadband access is another key part of the legislation with the draft showing sixty five billion dollars. Devoted to expanding high speed internet access across the country and details are starting to emerge about what form that might take. It's a topic for quality assurance where we take a second look at a big tech story. John hendel is technology reporter at politico covering the blow-by-blow. I mean this is kind of wonky. Dc battle but it's been about how fast broadband should be. That's been a key. Part of this from the gecko. The original plans you saw from many democratic lawmakers would have pushed for very fast speeds hundred megabits a second download and upload. This new draft does show slightly more modest goals. Why this matters is kind of what technology used to try to fix the digital divide many democrats would like fiberoptic cable. Lines laid down there. This would be future-proof this would be good for decades but that would also mean if you put these benchmarks in wireless companies some cable. Companies satellite broadband. Companies like elon musk's spacex day might not be able to bid for the money in the same way. So you've seen like a intense lobbying over

Working From Home: Get Your Hybrid Schedule Right

"Of organizations are moving people back into physical offices at least part of the time but there is a lot more flexibility now than in the past so this can be a great opportunity to consider how you work best and what might make your work life balance possible. This episode was inspired by a question. I am getting a lot. these days. People note that their organizations want them to work in the office three days per week and at home two days per week. So which days would they like to work from home on some level. This isn't quite the right question. True flexibility means working from home when it works. Best for you which could change week to week this week. Your kid has a special lunch at school on wednesday so it would be good to work from home that day so you can dart over and back without losing too much work time or maybe you look at the traffic tuesday morning and see that there's a gigantic star on the bridge. You have to take to get to the office rather than sit in a solid hour of traffic. You decide that. That is a good day to work from home. But i know a lot of teams like to coordinate in-office coverage or when would be best for meetings and many people like to create a weekly rhythm that they can plan on. So i understand the impulse to designate. Which days will be worked from home days. That just leaves the question which days my first bit of advice don't automatically pick fridays. This is probably the most common choice and pre pandemic. it was basically the only day. Many places would allow people to work from home but friday tends to end earlier anyways so if it helps your work life balance to be home earlier you will automatically do that on fridays. You want to find different days where your work life balance could be improved. If you've an awful commute my choice would be to work from home. On tuesdays and thursdays this can make a bad commute more bearable. Because you never have to do it twice in a row.

"Basically. I think it's an bridge. i accepted. He's obviously he's guilty of abs. He is to be fair guilty of the charge but the penalty for it shouldn't be eight months in prison when a penalty for it should be five hundred dollar fine and since he served time you make that the rest of it but i mean normally you give someone a five hundred dollar signs that the worst of week and chris but the what really disturbs me and they they obviously. That's just practice. Spend all of this time that he's been detained trying to sweat him As some kind of an accusation connecting the trump organization with what went on january six. Because that's how these Frankly for a large part of corrupt american prosecutors operates they They abused the ability to suborn or extort false in kalpatri evidence By by by threatening whoever is detained and then when they get the evidence they want to give them the full immunity from perjury church. So you know th that's why you have a ninety percent conviction rate ninety seven percent the trial in federal criminal cases in the united states which merely means. It's a complete corrupt system illustrating the lord act and was right when he said that. That's the power corrupts absolutely but but on its face. I have to say the man. "So i'd like you to imagine for a moment that you are a soldier in the heat of battle. Maybe you're a roman foot soldier or a medieval archer or maybe you're zulu warrior regardless of your time and place. There's some things that are constant. your adrenaline is elevated. And your actions are stemming from these deeply ingrained reflexes reflects his rooted in a need to protect yourself and your side and to defeat the enemy. So now i'd like you to imagine playing a very different role that of the scout so the scouts job is not to attack or defend. The scouts job is to understand. The scout is the one going out. Mapping the terrain identifying potential obstacles and the scout may hope to learn that. Say there's a bridge in a convenient location across the river. But above all the scott wants to know what's really there as accurately as possible and in a real actual army both the soldier in the scouter essential but you can also think of each of these roles as a mindset a metaphor for how all of us process information and ideas in our daily lives. And what. I'm going to argue today. Is that having good judgments making accurate predictions. Making good decisions is mostly about which mindset. You're in so. I'm going to take you back to nineteenth century france where innocuous looking piece of paper launched one of the biggest political scandals in history. It was discovered in eighteen. Ninety four by officers in the french general staff and it was torn up in a wastepaper basket but when they piece it back together they discovered that someone in their ranks had been selling military secrets to germany so they launched a big investigation and there are suspicions quickly converged on albert dreyfuss.

"Yesterday's they they just don't know which makes Addicting virtually impossible, so sound Transit three has already been passed by the voters. But since economics Khun Change significantly like they have this in 2020 can something be changed about sound transit three. Would there be a second? Could there be like a second vote that says now that we see the lay of the land, and nobody's commuting anymore? Maybe we don't need this as much. What's the status of Sound Transit. Three. I guess, Mike well sound transit plans on going forward in building what it delivered or what the voters have asked for You go back to 2010 and kind of see how things were slowed as we came out of the great recession because basically sound transit was in the same boat. Then you know they were getting the same amount of revenue and whatnot. And so you see that it's things just get delayed, or they scaled back certain things like we lost you. Stations along the lines or we decided the stations. We're going to be as big or what, Not you. You lose out on some of the things that were promised. But sound transit certainly plans on going forward with building building out that I mean, that's the plan. Yeah, that's even wait to find even longer. Yeah, Yeah, Five. Usually I got you. Okay. That least that's the plan right now. OK, The other big transportation question is How concerned should we be that now? The West Seattle, the lower bridge West. Seattle has cracks. Not not much. Okay, You know, I people started seeing that this week and Mike Lindblom at the Seattle Times did a story on the cracking on the lower Spokane Street Bridge, a great transportation port reporter for the Times. And you know, we've known about these cracks on the lower bridge. And so the question becomes. Oh my gosh. Are we going to lose the one and only real life find out of West Seattle that skybridge is gone And the answer is no. These are the typical cracks that you see in concrete bridges, concrete bridges crack by design. That's how they handle the weight. They handled the temperature variances and whatnot. What's different about the West Seattle High Bridge is that those cracks are really doing something strange. I mean, they're accelerating. In terms of how fast they're spreading their going at different angles than you would expect. The low Spokane Street Bridge has normal regular. I've been a swing bridge for 28 years kind of conch cracking, and they're aware, but they're monitoring it. They're doing what they can to fix it over the next 18 months. They're going to you know they're even going to do the carbon fiber wrapping on it like they're doing with the hybrids just out of an abundance of caution. They're going to fix the swing mechanism. They've already done things on the bridge over the last year to kind of make it a little bit better, A cz well and protected, but they know that they can't afford to lose that thing. And right now, there really isn't a concern that they will They got on it early and this cracking is normal, so we should Not fear that the entire sky is falling in west Seattle, though I know it feels like two people who lived there, so I learned that cracking is good when it comes to concrete. Yes, it is. The Missouri governor says that the president is quote unquote getting involved in the case of the same Louis couple that Joe had pointed guns at protesters. The story is that They were there in front of their house, which, by the way, looks like the Federal Reserve.

"As it approaches midnight a controversial decision is made and for people following the case. It's still being debated her good and bad on that comment before I guess I will say it was a joint decision in that. I consulted with many emergency response leaders in our community and so at some point I guess what I will the way I will oh put. It is the organized effort by emergency services was temporarily called off. Yes but it's there. Were still people I know out. Even though they were not this early under our leadership. I'll I'll put it that way just for people who you you wonder why you know what was sort of Calculus. The rationale behind that decision. There's our producer Dan who was in Delphi with us. The search that pointed obviously a had not been fruitful the other thing was limited at that time very limited resources and when I say basically additional lighting is one thing that came came to mind that we didn't have access to at least again at at those hours and so I I would as I recall. I think a lot of boiled down onto a male building of resources and being able to continue on we were at high bridge. We had walked high bridge and we had bought under hybrid. I I had guys climbed down to the top of the pillars of high bridge. I had guys doing things they should not have been doing. But we were going to find something we had scoured the banks of the creek. We the hillsides a you get to a point. You know that you've walked over two and three and four times in that area. You kind of feel like you have to put a check mark on it so we come to that point and it it like. I said it was a tough thing to do but as volunteer party. Also have to look out for the individuals that you command because they have jobs they have livelihood. That's the tough part of it. Because of the chief you have to be able to look out for them at some point and they will stay out Dr Until Sunup if you told them. That's what you're doing but at some point you have to be realistic. We have turned every rock. We could think of in this area mm-hmm and it's that time of year. You know the ground cover. It isn't now where you've got weeds. Four foot tall. You could see not a good ways even in the dark we have. Of course we have lights like no other so we came to that point that we need to check US bought off and then look at maybe coming back fresh in the morning. And let's see what happens. Abbie's Mom Anna is now starting to worry. Remember a one moment when Becky had said ladies afraid of the dark she would not choose to be out here if something was wrong and that kind of hit that you know. Something's up and just being who the girls were and their friends. They would've stayed together. That was is the concern after that. They weren't the kids that just didn't you know answer their phones and didn't respond or take off or anything like that so that was a rough.

"It was the start of the week schools in Delphi would normally have been in session that day but on this day they weren't so abby and Libya had a sleepover. Our story begins Monday morning. With Libya's older sister Kelsey. It was a snow makeup day that day. So that means saw there. Hadn't you've been a lot of snow and we had an extra day that we got off of school so they just made it a long weekend for us so I didn't go into work until like nine or ten in the morning Kerry Tim Libyan Chelsea's mom and just to clear up any confusion. She lives two hundred sixty two miles away in Kentucky. She's he's a tough woman with a tattoo sleeve on her left arm in tribute to her daughter Libby and every morning I'd send Chelsea and libby to good morning have a good day. You know snap chat text message. Something I'm GonNa had done that that morning but the girls on the bus went about my normal getting ready for work and left and libby message to be back snapchat and she was in her bed and I was like doing in bed. It's like nine o'clock or whatever that morning I woke up late and planned to go to my boyfriend's house and help him clean out his truck that they were getting ready to sell and then after we cleaned it out he was going to go to work and I was GonNa win at his house and then go to help go to work myself dating. Get up until probably close to ten or so and they wanted pancakes. This is becky patty before we get too far. We should acknowledge the family. Only dynamics are complicated here. Becky and her husband. Mike are Kelsey and Libya's grandparents and also their legal guardians and you'll hear are a lot from them over the course of this story but Kelsey and Libya's dead Derek also lives with them so derek made them pancakes for breakfast and then later on libby come out she was bored. What can we do? You know Kelsey came out and said that she. She was going to a friend's house and then she had to work. And so I went upstairs and it got started getting ready in our bathroom and I. I'd very much remember her. Opening the door. Really wide with abby behind her as I'm getting dressed and she's like Hake House doing go to hybrids today day and I'm like obviously getting ready to leave. I can't take a day and a little later. I was like I have really been saying. No Oh to her a lot lately so I went downstairs I said hey if you can find a ride and guns says yes I will take you and she ended up asking grandma and grandma atmosphere yes and then she called my dad to pick her up. And that's when I agreed to take her and then she said that her dad would pick her up so I said Okay and that's when they were getting ready to leave and libby was standing at the door. And that's when I told her to that. You need to take a jacket kids. It's Nice but you know who knows you need to take jacket. And that's when she looked at me and said it's okay. Great one gave me that smile and off. They went so when we left was sitting up front and the back neither of them had brought sweatshirts which was really confusing to me so I actually ran back inside and got abby on of mine and Libby had one in my accede since she always rode with me so I made them take those. And then we turned higgins by twenty one pilots up really loud and they had the windows down and we were seeing to it in. It's not a super far drive so we got there. The pretty quick it felt like and then we stopped at the entrance to high bridge and made sure they both have the sweatshirts. I told them to take approach and I loved her and I watched the mock.

"He fled pretty undetected whether he was seen by the flannel shirt guy or not he fled pretty undetected so if if you were to map this thing out and carried out the exact way that you would want to ideally you wanna put your vehicle as close to the the ending point of the crime in the crimes and the crime scene as possible while right and instead of just having on a residential drive aura or some other road that that would stick out like a sore thumb but if you park at the the graveyard right the yeah if you park at the here's the problem with that very spot you could park at the graveyard and be okay. I would think the other areas that are as close to you as has the graveyard mind you. We're going from white where the bodies were found they other areas that you could park. That would be close to you at that point. That's private property. That belongs belongs to Ron Logan that belongs to the Mir's family. That seems quite a bit more risky to me than parking at the graveyard yeah unless unless you know Logan's whereabouts or you know the family but still again if you're going there with idea that you're going to commit a crime. If you know these individuals you don't want them to be able to say Oh yeah I I saw I saw this guy's vehicle on my property that day. I think the graveyard makes most sense to because it's like there had to be some other visitors eight so it's not so suspicious. If you have a car that's you know I can't see anybody here all they might apart and walk down onto grave and and and spending a little time at the grave. Will I mean the graveyard was was working graveyard. <hes> <hes> seems to be right. I I I know what you mean. I sorry for laughing there but I do think that yes you that it's still spots what's are available is what I think you might buy that and if you look at it on Google map there is a picture a rectangle okay okay and right off of the Royal. You're going somewhere else with that the road west three hundred north so if you look off of three hundred north you have the graveyard right there on one side of the road now the graveyard is lined out like a big rectangle which it has a a drive you can drive in and go all the way to the back of the property and I believe at the tree line you can actually go across the tree line and then then head back out the other way so you have to to running roads or drives from three hundred north that basically encompass this graveyard. There's places to drive and what I'm getting at here too as you could. You could drive a fair distance away from the road and put your vehicle back by by the treeline and there's also a little center crossing <hes> section as well that you can drive on now. I don't know how the width of those if they're you know two lanes nhs both ways or if it's just a single lane usually with the in a graveyard type setting usually it's just a single lane to make it easier for people to access different parts of the graveyard to visit <hes> people but here's another really interesting thought captain. We have an eyewitness several eye witnesses actually saying that they saw an individual who's not come forward. We don't know who either of them are it. Could it'd just be one person could be too. I don't WanNA mix words here. I don't think that there's two killers I think there's one killer why I think the cops would know that base of the the audio and video footage yeah and but here's the thing with there being no vehicle description police lava vehicle description and they would rather have a vehicle description than a person description they love. It is easier to find the car. It's easier to find the car. It's harder her to harder to hide the car. We don't have one here so I wonder a little bit. Did this guy arrive on foot and leave on foot now. It seems a little confusing. Maybe two people that are not from the area but if you do a type up some some maps you you know bring up any map and maps and you you bring up some directions and you play around with it. One thing I found you could walk you. Actually the distances answers shorter walking driving because the way that the roads are laid out in this particular area so you could walk from the middle of the MON in High Bridge Bridge and you could be at East Main Street Delphi and it's a at one point two mile walk you would have to go over the Freedom Bridge for the shortest route but that would be the direction that it's believed that bridge guy if in fact he was the killer but the the flannel shirt man says that he saw bridge guy on the five Oh one trail heading toward for the Freedom Bridge at about three ten to three twenty somebody could walk. That's crazy. Somebody could walk from the middle of the Monin High Bridge to East Main Street Delphi B B in Delphi one point two miles right so about fifteen to seventeen minutes yeah fifteen to twenty minutes. Well let me tell you a little story to open up some possibilities. I'll make it quick so I I was an intern for longtime as a recording engineer at this point like I I didn't do a lot of sessions I didn't I had knowledge college of this stuff but I I I have never done it myself other than like maybe brain in some buddies to record so they said <hes> my boss says to me. Hey there's a night session. Do you WanNa do it and of course us nervous and said Nah. I don't really want to do any good well. No I'm going <music>. Set it up. It's easy to microphones on this piano. All you have to do is hit record and stop the Guy He's he's. He's from Athens Ohio was that about an hour and a half away yeah roughly drive <hes> he's from Athens Vince he's a great kind of Jazzy bluesy piano player we had this great piano but it wasn't tuned and we had some rattles and the low end but the guy didn't really cares this demo and so my boss was given him a discount because the piano wasn't working perfectly so we go and record three or four tunes and after after two or three songs disguises plan live he'd come back in and listen <unk> skies very scruffy. He has a book bag with him in a guitar case that you'd wear as book bag so I go out to make some coffee coffee and then go out to my car and I realized he has no car there. I'm thinking while this is strange so we we're almost done with the session and I see he has guitar. Que Soy unzipped guitar case. 'cause I just WanNa see what guitar yes in the bag rain <hes> <hes> I shouldn't have done that but I did. anyways there was a I see <hes> a gun and at this point I'm freaked freaked Anima Mind so in the session I I'm back in the day I had to make it C._D.. Forum here you go take this with you and I said <hes> somebody coming to get you <hes> and he said yeah so he <hes> he leaves pays. I clean up the studio. Go to leave probably five minutes after him. I start driving. I don't see him anywhere around you. Remember the studio's Studio's really far back <hes> five minutes later. I'm I'm driving pro- <hes> thirty three and I see him walking and this guy walked all the way from Athens set up a recording session walked all the way from Athens and played his songs took paid me took the C._D.. And started walking back <hes> now I don't know if he was meeting somebody a somewhere but he was walking on the freeway my point of this long story because one I was thinking about that gun in how much for how freaked out but the point of the story is this individual could walked from really far away and I hate to be the guy that to say there's so many possibilities but this guy booked a session question walked an hour and a half played five or six songs and then took off walking back. It's not out of the realm of possibilities. Well not only only that in this situation I'm I'm bringing this up for a couple of different reasons one east main street Delphi one mile one point only two miles from the bridge fifteen twenty minutes. Yes so this guy I mean there's there's plenty of houses over there. This guy could have lived in a neighborhood near there and just walked home. He could've parked anywhere really within one point two miles of the bridge he could a parked in any of these neighborhoods neighborhoods that are a mile and a half from the bridge and so he doesn't necessarily have to be parked at the abandoned building or parked in the graveyard yard or parked on Ron Logan's property he very likely could have been parked in an area that nobody would found to have been suspicious at all because it's a heavy heavily travelled leveled area. It's it's an area where there's a lot of cars parked on the side of the road right by parks in a parking lot somewhere but you have to be careful of those areas because of its busy parking can lot then you have the possibility of being seen if you're covered in blood mud or water site you know so I get get what you're saying and that's what's so frustrating about this case double as as every time I'm I'm looking into start filling. I'm getting somewhere.

"Code for trials over the weekend. It didn't work. Well, no, no. It's like it works. Great with an ipad. It works. Great with a phone. But I felt like I had a press way harder on the switch which was weird. So that doesn't seem like it'll be race solution on grab assigned maker to. Yeah. So I. That sounds like a totally I think there are dozen viable solutions to, you know, like making editing levels, docked, easy and fun. And all those stuff. I don't think they'll do any of them. Great idea of them. Yeah. We hey, we made a mobile app. No their mobile app now. Yes. The sounds like a good idea that into would never pursue. Yeah. Because they're just not like that. I wonder if you can maybe do something with two switches, you had the Mario party party is Super Mario party, whatever combined, which is thing. Maybe you could have like doc want connected to dock one for TV mode. And then the other one you can use as a. USB? We you. Tablet into step back and ask this. If it worked for the problem of getting video out, capturing the video of creating the levels would anybody even care about this? So I think specifically my issue now is that I don't know that the touch screen of the switches outstanding. Okay. It's. And so like that even potentially in issue undocked. So this is more than just getting the full screen video feed of the creation out. Yeah. Which I would like to do people want to creation. That's creating levels docs, is a hassle. If you don't have touchscreen because your dry in a lot of what I mean is if you didn't care about capturing the video would you be fine. Just doing it handheld, but sound are like interesting, or maybe I am until we get our hands on it. We're just not gonna know bigger screen than the tattle. Right. But like I said it just didn't it is. It's never felt great to me with my fingers. Plays tennis ninety nine and issues where I swear tapping on certain wells to target, and it was like, and I felt like I felt like I had to touch way harder with that stylus than I do with any other thing I use that for screen protectors. Now. Interesting. So I that that's my worry. Now after doing that. It's like, oh, jeez. What if this doesn't feel great never noticed it before? Because that most I've used it for like tapping. Okay. Or like Mendi like a big block menu block or something? But the trying to like frantically do it while I'm play tetris or something. And I'm like, not exactly hitting it. When I think wanted hit it made me kind of question. The the tech. The idea that somebody floated a week or two go using the joint on motion when it's docked. But then again if the motion is not super accurate, right? And also get frustrating. What about plug in a mouse? It's another thing Nintendo. Probably won't do that. Totally do that. What are we doing? Also, they should port original. Mario paint to the switch. Yeah. Don't make new party of aids. Put old Mario paint out. Super Mario paint. Yeah. "We'd like to welcome back into our distance learning classroom. Our senior correspondent, John Russell. And how was John doing very well today, Eric how about yourself? No complaints at the moment. Wonderful and everyone else in the studio has the exact same thought process. That's great. Great. Everybody's well hair. We don't talk about those. Remember, that's for sure. John you have the opportunity to test the Hyundai and how do you pronounce it? I onic Ionic. Okay. High bridge. What have you learned about the I onic hybrid? Well, among other things it's very portable. We had the SEAL version Eric three trim levels and the SEO all right in the middle of Butte on us know where that comes from SEO in women is the top of the range. The hybrid is. Gets a lot of miles per gallon. It's impact the patch. I five and highway combined I should say and city fifty five highway fifty four so it's. Behind day decided to compete, which creates is it. I don't know. But the big. Big name on the block is the Toyota Prius has always. What you find is. Is more conventional? It's not out there. You're not gonna get all bunch of looks. Because it looks it doesn't. Is a hybrid. And combined horsepower electric motor and the one point six report. So a dimension is a hundred and thirty nine horsepower. Adequate all e. Normal. Whatever you're gonna do. It's perfectly adequate. Base price of this vehicle. The SEO is twenty four thousand. A thousand dollars worth it's called the tech package. Don't get to that in a bit. But it includes a lot of safety stuff that you know, it's worth a thousand bucks. And of course, we have two hundred and twenty five dollars per floor wax. All right. We know how I feel about that. Anyway, the total. Came out to twenty six ten. And you know, vehicle we found it to be. It's. Very well. Rounded vehicle. Very well rounded ride and handling comfortable. The backseat Frenchies are very touchable rear seat on I use this as arm. I. Look a little tight. Rear seat passengers? Sure, you would have complained that they were crammed. Okay. So that's. If you if you had rear seat passengers they're not going to be going crazy there. This is where you lift up that rear deck, and it's enormous. You have plenty of space to do whatever you want from luggage, groceries everything I mean, it's just. Enormous. Reloaded? And we found out very large. Now where we found also was the. Right, smooth acceleration. Okay. Free power plant. You're not gonna go crazy yet. You're going to do everything safely. You can accelerate onto the highway say. Round cowed inspiring. Why delays at that engine paired with a six speed automatic transmission? That we're so accustomed to see. Hyundai opted for the automatic. Works. Very well. I prefer the automatic. But that's me. Other folks made prepare the vk. And the way it works. Extremely well. Loader? It is loaded up. However, the one thing I did notice. Scares. Is warranty. We all know that. A very long warranty. This one has a lifetime warranty on the battery. Yeah. That's unheard branded. The batteries homegirl. As we know. They don't go that often. Totally at the end of their life, which could be a long time down the road. A lifetime warranty. This SEO version. Loaded up with a lot of peach, Hedrick, cloth, interior and. Through my opinion, in my opinion, and like coffee. Lender and curious can get. Very cold wondering very hot in summer. So the clot is sort of. Embracing. And there's a lot of good teachers on this card and Sunday did do safety features. Does have. Blindside warning as part of its Sandra package. Rear cross traffic alert as part of their stay. Quitter package. Want to hook up their phones, it has car played employed auto, which a lot of folks Mark and vehicles. We found that the as I said the interiors very comfortable. One thing. I didn't notice. You know, how many hybrids? You're being told you have those little. Icons and tells you what you're doing on the screen. This has seven screen. Hells you the hybrid thing. And how. Power is going from one to the other to the other. Unless you have to push back to pusher. Ikea hybrid. Which I find to be less air in your paycheck. Visibilities very good. As I mentioned heated seats. You don't find those in cars are described very often. All in all it's a good package. Now the option the tech after. And has automatic emergency. Breaking Wayne says smart coups cruise control. So. Sweet. Eight years. Thousand dollars and so. These new safety features that come into their own. And I think today in this day and age we do need as much help as we can get. And Hyundai did a good job of packaging. So I we're negatives. I would say. A little bit on the rear visibility. And they have or bar going across the rear window. And drives me nuts. Don't understand why. It's there. You might say you should ask them. Ask them. Ask reason. The boss when it comes to something like this and your reporting ask them what they do and the Prius does the same thing. Yeah. I think it's stylish tied. Not sure, but it gets in your way, and the other thing is know, cheap fillers. Way. I catch that rear visibility is. I have a very. I d- intersection. It's a good way to see how how you're blind. How you're revisiting what he hits because that fat intersection is. It's not challenging. But it's a good way to an all seat fillers. Extract vision, all the how much does obstruct and this one moderately so. So. As I mentioned, we have the blindside worn. Which really helps out. So does does the press have all these features to them? You can get him. So and what's the what's the price difference between the two because that's I mean, there's a few thousand dollars. We're talking several thousand dollars. The probably we've talked about the Prius is like one of the most what is it? The most one of the more reliable cars ever built. No, no doubt about it. And so it's a colored dollars difference. And some interested to hear what Howard Mandel says or his thought about how well this is going to compete. Give. I don't I don't have a crystal ball. I can only tell you that Pence practices. Important can Toyota has. Basically demonstrated in the hybrid category for years vis-a-vis the previous. The red for the Camry. Be the cars choice for the for the taxis. Uber's. And that's a that's a statement to be made the Hundai on the other hand. There's no real. Track record. You know, you show me. It's going to be around for ten fifteen years of two hundred and fifty thousand lives and still be running. And then the support you you mentioned the lifetime battery. That doesn't sound. Like, it sounds like marketing tool that maybe maybe hard to cheese. And those batteries are not cheap. So. What's the shelf life of the battery here they're trying to convince you that it's going to be what ten fifteen twenty years. Highly unlikely I would be very skeptical. Of the. Of that statement. "The biggest question i think i've been ginning in the last couple of weeks and people are excited to plant their soybeans either before corn or at the same time a car as corn you know if they have to planters running at the same time which now everybody does but i think that we have to realize that you can't to stop there there's other steps to success and if you don't incorporate them all into your management we are not necessarily gonna get a high yield bomb porter who was named by the yeovil noise soybean association as their latest chhoy bean master adviser says for those who plant early seed selection would tend to lean more to what she refers to as offensive varieties with a focus on higheryield we don't care maybe as much as those disease traits or a you know some of the resistance matt type of thing where going for high yield so with that comes higher management so definitely your seed treatments foreseen treatments as well as you're fully our protection at our three just to protect those pods that you've created by planting early even though the sued is a higher yielding variety porter a sales agronomist at boroughs high bridge says at an early planning date not as much goes in the ground we want to back off on our populations when you plant early for various reasons one being the sunlight too when you start getting to hire populations you plant early you can have lodging issues three we want to save on some see cost and you can do that by using seat treatment and so all those different factors work handinhand borders asia lot of researchers ghana two she'd treatments what's been found she says is exciting but complicated but i definitely think unita insecticide with that insecticide you can get a bigger effect and you can also ecorse get insectcide control fungi components she won at least three or four to cover different fund decides that you can have a big proponent of aleve o which is for sds control as well as early season since number towed control agronomist stephanie porter with burress hybrids i'm tom steve ron brown fee nbc business report this hour is made possible by rinke gray wealth management investing locally with someone you know call two to four or five nine five nine i'm jan leisure cnbc radio the dow's.
