"I don't know if you've had a chance to watch it closely enough. But it looks like the chiefs spent most of the night in base defense because there three linebackers all had Higginson bulletin eighty six eighty three percent of the snaps and been neiman for for some unknown. Reason has seventy percent of snaps so that tells me. They had all three linebackers on the field. A lot which means three safety set probably was a little bit less and so that's probably the the teams justification for why they didn't play thornhill so much is we ran base defense when we had to safeties field. And he's our third safety right now But we could. We could pick apart all of those decisions. I think at this point. Would you gotta wonder especially after watching that last. Play the game so many times. I keep finding myself quoting one of my favorite movies of all time and wanted to ask ben neiman. What would you say you do here. Because i'm not really sure what bid-name and brought to that game last night in those seventy percent of the snaps. He was out there. He's we know is not great in coverage he's not necessarily a big hitter in the run game either. Seemed like he got run over or run around or run past Plenty last night including on that last. Play the game. I just mind bogglingly. He was the he was the guy coming down hill to cover a huge gap. In the in the way the team lined up on that last fourth in one play somehow expected been neiman to get through traffic and blow that play up in the backfield and obviously it didn't happen ended up with ben neiman standing Past the first down marker holding his hands out wondering what happened. So i don't know i. I can see why the ravens are a team that would force you into your base defense a lot because of the way they run the football but i wonder if the chiefs defense couldn't mold what they do to their personnel. Just a little bit better and see more of thornhill less of sorenson unless of neiman in favor of maybe you know obviously when will juniors healthy. It'll be maybe more willing junior but in a game like this one have during. Oh daniel spy. Lamar jackson the only divas of snaps during daniels career has been spying. Lamar jackson right so he. He might have been a better solution that he didn't get any defensive snaps once again. But anyway the the way that they lined up in base defense. I'm sure dictate a lot of this stuff. Yeah that's the one place where spags probably can get a little crap from from his game. Plan or strategies is that last play naming like you mentioned neiman. is the one the one linebacker. That's off the ball. Ready to come down hill. Make make a hit. Isn't that what anthony hitchens four. Isn't he called the hitman. Isn't nick bolton shown enough where he could be trusted more than neiman. In that situation bed hitching bolton on the edges of the defense. Kinda just not even able to make a play of that point. Hitchen was just not in no-man's-land because he was away from the ball if you're trusting neiman in that spot that's that's four process that's poor game climbing on the coach's part that has to be hidden if not bolton it cannot be neiman and i think that that was the main reason that played work for the ravens. And if you washed play neiman never even really took off. The seat was standing up the whole time. Conscious with pushing the pile. In my opinion that that was a great catch and run surprise. He got to the end zone. He didn't look moving that fast. But great blocking downfield as well by receiver teammates so at some point bring. Those guys seem more playing time because seemed like whenever his name is called he he he comes up big so i wanna see more bring. It was just nice for me to see those secondary targets. All get in the game this week right like last week. There was nothing outside of hill and chelsea this week. The raven found a way to take away tyreek hill and you know what they got production from pringle russia from robinson and so there was a there was something to be said. Even michael hardiman had a pretty solid game. Michael hartmann was moving. The sticks This week which is something that people have complained about him that he is. You know one. Big play in nothing hartman. This week five catches fifty five yards. He he was able to help. Move the chains in a way that you're not used to see him from him looking more like a reliable receiver at least for this game so those secondary targets came up in a pretty decent way the this week. Yeah and then on the book side. You know primary guys on the defensive side of the ball in the defensive line. In terms of frank larkin jones. I mean they played a lot of snaps on defense frank clark in his first game back and man they were basically invisible frank clark on a taco for loss. Those really good play for sure but in terms of pass and got nothing from either christians. Or frank clark's the ravens attackers stones. That have been all day in the run game. Kinda put him in line. And you know what i get it i get. It didn't look good for chris jones defensive end but it's the second game at the position it's one of the hardest offenses to defend as a defensive end. Especially if you're an experienced especially if you're a big guy. Jones cannot move laterally as as well as some other defensive ends. Can i think clark actually played..

"I am jealous but faiths your hair a little bit more and then of course. Hopefully it will be healthy. There's a lot of reasons for us to be excited about our football team in the start of that season which we all love probably very close to the same amount as the blue jays. But it's very close to be like okay. I'm like football mode and baseball tune. In when i can if there's football on and watching football but hopefully on sunday i'll be like okay. Positive breaks on truly going into one hundred percent football. They're still some exciting baseball left to be played. We'll see it starts this week poetry weeks. Three drops i kind of said you know maybe one was a little bit of off throw by brand announce so maybe it can kind of say to those should have caught one of those would maybe been a little difficult regardless credited for three drops in the game and the one cat she has is on a in the preseason his on an easy screen. We didn't really mention it a lot. But there have been a couple of instances more than a couple perhaps of him dropping passes in practice ones. That seemed to be of the routine ilk a. Here's the deal john. After that i kind of said okay. Look it's a game. It's a preseason game not a big deal. Let's see how he responds to practice. Well unfortunately sunday yet. A bad practice more drops stayed after. Try and work on some things but then rebounded on monday. So i don't wanna talk about the other social media thing until if anything even comes of that i. I don't even really want to go there unless you do. But idea dea believe in the panic of jomar chase and or do you believe he's going to get this right and he'll be fine by the time week. One rolls around here. He is starting to get it right. So when friday night happened you know it. It gets the social media like the clips are out there. He's got a tremendous spotlight on him and if he doesn't perform like a first round rookie does he's going to get flak forward in rightfully so drops or drops. Not getting your head up as quick in the timeline in wi with getting your hands up expecting the pass of a certain period of time at do think that that could have been a factor with and then after the after that game on sunday the first practice after the game. He has two drops there. And that's when. I think it also have kicked in that. This is a legitimate mental block. These going through. But that's exactly what drops are like. They're not in indication or indictment on the lack of talent. You never really had any drop issues when lsu was really good. Twenty nineteen. I i think i guess when he first got. Lsu he suffered some drops and there was the summer of ten thousand or so catches where he just dedicated. His whole life is catching. Footballs in. himself right. So he's been through some type of lola this before. But this was clearly some some type of intangible internal issue. That wasn't just about working with two quarterbacks with one in plain with another this was something that was real that was going on with him and ever since sunday practice. I guess he worked with. He has continued to work with receivers coach troy doing like tennis ball drills which i guess what also hockey goalies do as well Just doing everything that he can just put it in the work to basically write this right. These wrongs right now. He also has the support of tyler. Boyd and t higgins. They've been in the exact situations and they know what to tell him to get together through it ever since sunday. He's caught everything practice so far. He's looked like the march that we've expected and it kinda does seem like he's already on the right track to kinda get out of this and honestly if you're going to go through some of this law is exactly what the preseason is like. Higginson had this you know. He was thrust into the starting lineup like week to week. Three last year he never really had two or three through games to get over some of these issues or as time issues. Whatever and even gigging suffering Like drops for a week or two last year before he started off the season so happens with everyone. Even paul. i guess mentioned it to zak taylor when he was with the forty niners. This guy named jerry rice. Guess dropped a couple of passes when he was rookie if you call him a bust and then you made tunnel pros which is dangerous. Because you don't want to compare To jerry rice at all. But it's something that i guess. Every receiver goes through in. If you're gonna go through it as rookie might as well just galloway. the preseason. it's it's okay. I mean folks on twitter just seemed to be like oh he's a bust and or oh he's gonna be fine he's gonna be fine. It's no big deal. It's no big deal. I mean they're to me. They're it's it's okay for people to say he's gonna figure this out but for right now. It's concerning i mean a- that's such a such a difficult thing for people to admit i mean when you see three drops in a game from your number five overall pick. That's concerning but i understand some of these sentiments light from youtube listener. Chris reisner who says it'll be different with borough throwing him the ball. I guess i should pin that there. Yes it is. However in practice we still have seen chase drops for these balls from borough. So it's not like these. These drops have only been with brandon allen and brandon allen. Only if has been with borough at times of practice. And then of course this display on friday so i think he's going to be fine. I love the fact that he's working after practice in doing all the little things to get past this mental block..

I'm interested in seeing continued to evolve. Your i just wanna see higgins two bumbling full and higginson stammerers i wanna see higgins being effective at what he does and i think we're getting hints at that throughout these episodes and i like seeing that continue to develop. We have to meet new people all the time. Every job is new. Every set of people as new very rarely go to the same set. You know unless you're on a television show for long time which stop my experience yet. You're constantly interactive new people and you have to get deep with those people fast and you have to bond and trust them really fast and so ultimately you almost always telling but i like to call I actually piss poop vomit stories. Great so But also it's a lot of it is like your your puberty stories like your first time you know and when i realized entailing in doing that storytelling in bringing people into that tent. I've always as you don't make us. I'm one of your girlfriends gal pals you. I'm very open with all that stuff. And i would say that. This is the most personal thing i've ever done as an artist because it's very much about storytelling bringing people into a conversation versus the podcasts. Like univer somebody about their first time or this or that the other. I just felt like i wanted to almost create something that was like chapters of a book and take advantage of the very personal nature. Podcast you're in someone's ear and you're inviting them into conversation things that sees it. I've spoken to my best girls about for years. And years and years i thought can other people relate to those in. Can we invite them into conversation and talk about very taboo subject matter which i think helps. People lead a better life. So what made female of the podcast is that our sex sexuality gender all those things. They're very silent off by our culture but in fact they are part of our holistic long term health mental physical. Everything like are like your your pleasure. Your loves your physical body Your sense of safety all of that matters to your long-term we talked to especially kids in friends about a everything but that stuff you never asked about what's going on in the bedroom you know.
